I had an amazing experience with Jenn! This was my first tattoo and from the moment I walked in, she was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. Her energy was fun and infectious, which made the whole process so enjoyable. It’s clear she’s passionate about her craft. Her attention to detail and commitment to making sure everything was perfect really stood out. I couldn’t be happier with the final result, and I’m already thinking about my next tattoo with her. Highly recommend! The gentleman at the front desk was also very professional and helpful when setting up my consultation.

Dying Art is by far the cleanest, most well decorated shop I’ve ever been in. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. You can tell everyone there really loves what they do. Not to mention everyone is so talented! I saw Rich today for my leg piece. He did a fantastic job! He was super quick too for such a large tattoo. (The flowers and bird) I also appreciate that they are pro numbing agent. I wouldn’t have been able to get through the shading or color on my knee without it.

Had Monster Bob do mine, really recommend if you go for clean lines and a great light shading. Can do dark work too and is a very chill guy. He was quick, efficient, and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. Overall 10/10 experience. As soon as you walk in, you get greeted with a bunch of smiles and people ready to tattoo you up. They made my first time experience very enjoyable and welcoming and I appreciate that since I had a bit of anxiety coming 🙌🏽. Will be coming back in the future guaranteed. Pricing was also very good, they wont over charge or scam you, they got it just right.

First off, the vibes? ✨ Immaculate ✨. the communication is great, I felt comfortable enough to express what I preferred and wanted for my tattoo. Richard (ruiz_tattoo) tattooed a portrait of my fur baby who recently crossed the rainbow bridge along with his favorite plushie.*Chefs kiss 🤌🏻* I am absolutely in love with my piece! 10/10 recommend.

From the first contact with the shop they were super friendly and professional. I told them what I wanted and sent a picture of what I wanted and he immediately said Bob was your guy. Monsterbob was excited about doing the tattoo and it showed in the finished tat. It is absolutely amazing and I couldnt be happier. I will definitely be going back for my next one.

From the second you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile, and everyone in the shop is friendly and wants you to be comfortable! Jenn did my tattoo and she is so happy and inviting! Always great vibes in the shop this is my second time getting tattooed here my first time was with Noah and then I was tattooed today by marina. All the artists are so nice, the shop is cool and an all around great place to get tattooed. They also offer numbing spray which not a lot of shops do.

This was my first tattoo and Kristyann made it so welcoming and comfortable! The shop is so clean and beautifully decorated! She made sure I was good to keep going throughout the whole process and even put numbing cream on for the color! Highly recommend this place!

I called about a walk-in on Sunday, and not only did they have availability, but the artist sounded excited about my idea. My artist was Marina, and she did a fantastic job! I wanted a lightning bolt and she free handed it for me. She was very detailed and it came out very realistic. She had an extremely steady hand and was fun to talk to. I think I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and its healing beautifully. I will definitely be requesting her next time.

Got my first tattoo here today by Kristy. She made me feel super comfortable, especially for my first time. I’m absolutely in love with it. The tattoo artists were all super nice and they have amazing art. The decor/aesthetic of the place is also really nice and there’s lots to look at while you’re waiting for a tattoo or during the process.

Kristyann (crucifixx) did a tattoo on my right arm and it looks absolutely amazing! The shop looks super clean and all of the staff are all so nice and amiable. It’s the best tattoo/piercing shop I’ve ever walked into. The atmosphere is dope too. I absolutely recommend coming here

Been coming to this shop since the beginning of the year and have loved every minute of being there! The owners and their artists are all great people and fantastic artists all wrapped in one.So far Ive gotten 5 pieces done by Sweettooth Jenn (who is dope as hell) and will definitely be getting more work done by her in the future. That said, I do plan on getting a couple pieces done by their other artists as time goes on.Great atmosphere, great people, and great tattoos. Cant really ask for more in a shop can ya? Dying Art Tattoo has amazing & friendly artists, I had the pleasure of working with Kristyann to get a beautiful piece that had my daughters footprint and birth flowers, she also covered a previous tattoo I had with ease. She made sure everything was what I wanted and also gave her ideas on what would look visually pleasing on the skin. The shop is super clean and has a very inviting atmosphere the moment you enter their doors. A wonderful overall experience, I will always recommend this shop!

I got my first ever tattoo done today by sweettoothjenn. She was super friendly, made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and did such a nice job on my tattoo! The lines look very clean and the colors are great. The rest of the staff was very welcoming and the whole shop had great vibes. My husband and I will definitely be coming back again!

Easily my favorite tattoo shop I’ve been to, I walked in without an appointment and not only was Rich able to do my tattoo he was super excited about what I had in mind. Additionally he had positive feedback to adjust some small details that in my opinion made the tattoo better. I will continue to come here whenever I’m in Modesto.

Went in and got my first tattoo with their artist Noah and Im absolutely loving the work of art that I left with. He was very professional, clean workplace and very informative as to post tattoo care. It was full of very energetic artists that all give off a great vibe and I had an enjoyable time with them.

The atmosphere is sooo nice. Very chill everyone’s laughing and it’s just so welcoming. I have been wanting to get this tattoo for a long time and when I came across Kristyann’s work and this tattoo shop in general, I knew I was finally ready to get it. She did an amazing job! Richard was awesome! I went in to get a quote on a tattoo and ended up getting it. He was able to bring my 20+ year tattoo back to life. I love the colors that he used! He did a great job and I am very satisfied with the makeover done on the Virgen de Guadalupe. My first color tattoo and now I’m hooked. Definitely going to go back to get more color tattoos! Ive been a client of Monster before he came here, but I think this shop has made him an even more solid and professional artist its a great vibe, clean, and ORGANIZED. I will follow him as an artist always, but I am glad he made this his home. Hes a dark work artist, BUT he also excels at color on the down low lol. I’ve been wanting a Medusa tattoo ever since I found out her deeper meaning, and one of my old classmates Marina posted she had just completed her apprenticeship. After looking at her profile of how well she does women’s faces I knew I wanted her too be the one to give me my Medusa. She did a far beyond amazing job, and literally everyone that has seen it so far is also falling in love with my Medusa Marina blessed me with. The whole shop had great vibes and all the other artists were super kind and encouraging while marina was tattooing me. I will definitely be returning in the future for some well needed ink therapy! A couple years ago I had the pleasure of having Richard do a flash anatomical heart and with such a Plesant experience then I wanted the comfort of familiarity with a piece dedicated to my loved ones. At the arrival of the appointment I filled out a waiver and surrendered my reference photos and concept… not too long later this BEAUTIFUL piece was shown to me, the stencil was put on, and we got to work.This shop is so clean, everyone is so sweet and friendly…. I never thought I’d feel so comfortable and relaxed in a shop environment after my first few tattoos- and I was completely wrong. Literally every interaction with every single person from front desk to every member of staff feels so genuine and sweet- it’s like you’re a part of their tattoo family.We took breaks at easy stopping points (added bonus their horror bathroom is decorated to absolute perfection including edward…), I was extremely comfortable in positioning and sitting for a long period, and at the finish I was overjoyed with how perfectly beautiful my instant sleeve was and how excited Richard was to be the artist to do it!Thank you all so much for being such a positive experience and wonderful individuals! I’m two weeks healed and just made an appointment for a different piece in August!

First let me start by saying I always give someone grace but this situation is pretty unforgivable. I contacted this business by phone and was instructed to come in for a one on one consult. I went to the shop and was immediately paired with artist, Marina. I had all my drawings printed out in a folder and briefly discussed my vision. Marina told me to come back the following Friday and she’d have the sketch ready. The next Friday comes I show up at the parlor and she tells me she hasn’t worked on it yet. I was a little set back but said okay no problem how about the next Friday. She says sure and tells me she’ll send me pictures during the week for me to approve or change and asked me to pay 100$ to hold the appt. I was fine with that and did so. The following Thursday comes around and I have not heard from her so I text her and say “hey my appt is tomorrow do you have the drawing ready” she tells me partially but it’s not a good draft yet and she’ll send me a pic of it later today. I do get it finally at 1 in the morning. It was basically a rough draft but looked okay. So I proceed to arrive for my appt. She shows me the sketch, I ask some questions. We’re both in agreement and away we go. It was about a 3 hour appt. This was a memorial tattoo for my son who had passed away 11 months ago. It was extremely important to me. The problem comes when she was on the last part of his name. I have no idea what happened but she screwed up his middle name, not leaving herself enough room so it was just all smashed together and to make matters worse she added black on top of the red, telling me it will make the letters pop! Plus it was crooked compared to his first name. It turned what could have been a pretty awesome tat into a huge disappointment and now I have to alter my vision and the meaning of that tattoo to get it covered up. I’d post a pic but not sure how to do that.

I have been waiting years to start tattooing my body and I chose the right place to start I couldn’t be more happy with my choice and artist Becca . I even have two up coming tattoos scheduled. I took a chance with them on my first color and shading tattoo and can’t wait to see what Ekay does for my Leo to come and what Becca designs for my shoulder piece. So excited. Will definitely continue to support great local artists. They are all so friendly. Highly recommended if your looking to tattoo yourself. Ive been wanting to get this Dark Fairy Tattoo for 10+ years now but I could never find the right person. Marina was that person and she did an absolute amazing job. My daughter and her friend have gotten worked done by her previously and I saw how awesome she did their tattoos. I knew she was the right person for my Dark Fairy tattoo. Everyone in that tattoo shop are amazing and so kind. They even fit us in for some touch ups. We were so thankful. Highly recommend!

Thank you Jennica for my amazing tattoo. So, my baby girl passed away recently, and I wanted a tattoo of her to keep her memory alive. I just wanted a fine line silhouette of her and her name. And Jennica delivered!! The line work was straight and smooth. She took a picture of her and made the silhouette in minutes. It looks just like her. Her energy was amazing. I absolutely loved this art studio. I had Sharon and she was the greatest. I got one of her flashes done the day after messaging her expressing my interest. I loved the energy she put out and the excitement she had doing the tattoo. I was already excited and her energy just made it better. The rest of the staff was warm and welcoming and I definitely felt at ease. Some other places I have been I dont think I was relaxed as I was at Dying Art. I love the set up they have and it feels clean and modern. Sharon absolutely killed my tattoo and I cant wait to get more work done from her and maybe her helping fix/add some others. I highly recommend going here and I dont think I will be going anywhere else for my future tattoos.

I have been on the hunt for a tattoo shop/artist for about two months. I went to 3 tattoo shops and contacted 2 artists and received either no answer and treated rudely. This weekend I went to the mall and before I went home, I decided to check around the area for tattoo shops. Dying Art Tattoos was right around the corner, so I decided to stop in and hopefully get a consultation on what I wanted. It is such a cool shop. It was very clean and the décor was cool. It had a really good vibe. Marina was the first person I met. She was engaging and nice, things that I had yet to experience so far in my search. She made me feel very comfortable. I explained what I wanted and she gave me some really good feedback. She let me know that I could either do one of the tattoos today or I could come back at a different time if I wanted to think about it. Since I was there, I really wanted a tattoo. Marina sketched something up for me and it was gorgeous! I was a little anxious since it had been about twenty years since my last tattoo. But Marina was great! She set me at ease and I was relaxed and calm throughout. I will definitely be back soon for another one!

Me and my boyfriend got a flash piece from Silvia after we were recommended by a friend and we love them! She’s an apprentice there and she’s so sweet she’s very informative and really listens and is just overall great! The shop is BEAUTIFUL and very clean! I fell in love with all the decor, the vibes when you walk in it’s all so great makes you feel so comfortable, all the artists have a great family bond which really shows in the atmosphere! My artist was Marina, she was doing a flash sale as part of her apprenticeship. She was amazing, made everything super easy and comfortable. The shop itself was very clean and had great vibes. I’ve been to several shops around Modesto, and Dying Art has a very uniquely pleasant energy that I loved being a part of. During a sister brunch we decided to get last minute tattoos. We knew this place from IG and they had last minute openings. (Thanks universe!) We sent off our ideas and got an appt soon after. We booked the whole place for a day well in advanced and had a great time hanging out and getting tattoos. The staff was super welcoming and fun to hang out with on top of the amazing artwork they did on all of us. The shop was very clean (and well decorated) and we love our tattoos.

My sister and I were able to call ahead and get a very last-minute walk in for small wrist tattoos by Rich and Jarod. Clean shop, they patiently did a few revisions to the design at our request, counseled us on different ink colors and placement, and I watched their interactions with clients, which were respectful and friendly.Overall, we had a very positive experience and got exactly what we wanted. Not many shops out there that do great traditional style tattoos, but these guys have nailed it. Crisp lines is at their forefront. They can do non-traditional, micro, and realism as well. My daughter came home on leave from the UK and was looking for an artist and found Dying Art Tattoo. So ....... she was our Guinea Pig and none of us were disappointed! First, the facility is immaculate, couldnt ask for a cleaner facility. Richard was very welcoming and his work was off the chart. In fact, my son and I have appointments for while hes home on leave for Thanksgiving. Most definitely would recommend this place!!

So I was nervous off the back because i was getting my first tattoo, but I called before showing up and asked if they took walk ins and rich the shop owner answered and said they do. I showed about 20 mins later and was greeted very kindly, he was open to my idea and he immediately drew it up. Two and a half hours later I was a satisfied customer with dope new ink ! I would recommend this shop to everyone, its very clean and has a great atmosphere.

My artist, Ekay, did a exceptional job on my tattoo. Everything I have seen from her, including my own tattoo has amazingly detailed and precise line work that feels like it was done by a computer. My tattoo healed very well, almost no swelling or redness during the entire process which I was amazed by. She is a very talented artist and I plan on going back to her for more in the future.

I got a tattoo with KristyAnn and I am so happy with how it turned out. When I went in for a quote and to schedule my appointment I showed her a picture of what I wanted and I explained parts of the tattoo I didn’t like and parts I did and it came out exactly like I wanted it! First time coming in to get some art done. These guys were very organized considering our current situation. They have a newish artist that came from Korea her name is Ekay It was awesome to add to my collection from different artists. Especially because she learned in Korea and not from somebody in the states, so its a different prospective to tattooing. Everybody at the shop was super friendly and welcoming. The owner is very down to earth. There are no inflated heads here. I would definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be coming back in the future.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a hello! I was a tad nervous for my first tattoo, but Ekay was awesome and walked me through the steps! She even helped me pick a better place to put my tattoo on my upper arm! 5/5 would definitely come here again!

Dying Art is the best! I’ve gotten tattooed here multiple times, from Becca and Kristyanne. They are professional, friendly, and always make it a great experience. Super clean as well! I won’t ever go anywhere else for tattoos.

Today was my first time going into this shop (to see Kevin, who I’ve been going to for 5+ months now), and I have to say, it was such a good experience. I’ve been getting tattooed for the last 10 years and this was the most RELAXING shop I’ve ever been in. Clean environment, spacious, good music, friendly staff... 100% satisfied. I love this shop. Kristy & Richard are by far amazing at running this joint. EKAY has amazing work & takes time & detail & is so prideful of her pieces I love it. Im so proud that she did most of my work on my right arm sleeve that im building on. Becca is amazing also. I was very nervous going in but the environment of the shop was so friendly, I didnt talk much because I was having a back piece done but Kristyan was so attentive throughout the session and would ask if I needed a break or anything, also every position she needed me in I was super comfortable and never needed to stop. I did go in with a bathing suit on which I do suggest if your a little shy about that thing

I got a tattoo with my bestie and Becca did an amazing job. I fell in love with my tattoo as soon as I saw it. Her lines are beautiful!! She was very professional and made sure that I was comfortable during the entire process. I can’t wait to go back again.

Showed up around 4:30 today to get a consolation as a walk in, and Becca was able to squeeze me in today and did an amazing rose tattoo. Loved my whole experience, made me feel comfortable and Becca did a great job. If I ever need another tattoo, I will sure to be back.

Just got a tattoo here for Friday the 13th. Their options were all amazing and their staff was really friendly! I got an amazing rose tattoo by Kristyann and I absolutely love it! This was my first time at this tattoo parlor but I will definitely be back!
