I came to Rise Above to get a tattoo for my 18th birthday. I walked in at night, no appointment, and I was taken in within 10 minutes. Obviously this was my first tattoo, so I was extremely nervous and shaking, even through the tattooing process. Michael was absolutely wonderful with me, though. He talked me through it and took breaks for me to relax. The end result was an absolutely beautiful tattoo!

Got my first color tattoo with Cassandra. Amazing hand amazing ability to really listen to what I wanted patient and went above and beyond in every single aspect. 100% recommended. Her apprentice will do great very soon himself with a lead like Cassandra!

My mom and I went in for matching interlocking heart tattoos!, We’ve been wanting to share something special like that, and it happened to be my birthday and it was her first tattoo! She was so nervous! From the moment we walked in to Rise Above, Chris was so cool, helpful, funny and just extremely welcoming which was the experience I really wanted my mom to have for her first time. We were comfortable right away thanks to Chris. The shop is spacious, well lit, clean and rad! I’ll definitely be back to get more intricate work done.

It was the BEST tattooing experience I ever had. Michael Rivera is an amazing artist and very friendly. He made my whole experience a memory I will always remember. Definitely recommend and I will hit him up again for my next tattoo.

I have had multiple tattoos done before, but I got my fourth one done at Rise Above Tattoo Co. back in December and absolutely loved my experience. My artist was Shawn and I loved my experience so much I am going back for another one! He was excellent at working around my schedule and making my piece exactly how I had imagined it. The detail and precession was more than I have had in any of my other tattoos. Everyone in the shop is super welcoming and the staff is well diversified in specialties. I loved it so much that I am bring family and friends to get their first and future tattoos here! I would absolutely recommend anyone that is looking to get a great piece done either black/white or color, big or small to go to Rise Above Tattoo; its a pick you will never regret!

The folks at Rise Above do a spectacular job of fostering a positive & friendly environment and business. I had the pleasure of being inked by Chris and Tyoni on different occasions. Let me just say no matter who you book with, you will leave beyond satisfied with your results. I might just have to collect a piece of work from all the artists like some pokémon cards lol. I chose Shawn as my artist because his personal style meshed with what I wanted. I was nervous to do a full sleeve but Shawns professionalism & talent put me at ease. When it came time to draw out the designs his excitement was contagious. I wanted to be tattooed by someone who is as passionate about the design as I am, it really made me comfortable about the whole experience. His art is incredible and soooo clean. The shop is spotless and all of the artists were so friendly. Shawn was more than happy to work around my busy schedule as well. All of my work healed amazing and my color stayed so vibrant! Two of my co-workers loved the work so much that they went there too and they were thrilled. Rise Above is awesome, Ill keep recommending them to everyone I know!

Incredibly comfortable experience with Tommy, as always!This shop is incredibly clean, courteous, and good-spirited. Easy to find, comfortable waiting area and great sanitation practices.Lots of art and flash on the walls which to me always says home in a tattoo shop.I cannot recommend Rise Above enough, particularly Tommy and his feather light touch and great bedside manner.Dont sleep on this shop!!

Went in about a month ago looking to get a new tattoo. Was greeted by a very friendly staff. The shop was very clean and well setup. Music selection was great as well. I spoke with Joanna Nguyen(only female artist there) and told her what my idea was for my tattoo. She drew up an amazing piece which came out even better on my skin. She works very quickly but not too quick as to compromise her work quality. Will definitely be returning to her for my next tattoo project. Will definitely be recommending my friends to this shop.

I have seen a lot of the tattoos that come out of this place, all of which are beautifully done. The staff here is just so friendly, they feels like family. The music is always spot on. This shop is clean and well organized. I went Rise Above Tattoo Co. with my sister and nephew, both got tattooed by Chris. they both love their tattoos, the colors pops on my nephews .

Very clean and professional! My sister and I went in for sisters tats. Big Clint did my sisters tat and Michael did mine. Extremely patient with our needs. We were in and out within an hour! Will definitely return again!In closing.... Mr. Rivera, you are the bees knees, but so am I

Just recently got my third tattoo here, it was a calm and inviting experience. My tattoo artist Fish was very nice and attentive to my needs and making sure that I was comfortable during the whole process. The tattoo shop was also very clean. I would highly recommend this tattoo shop, youll have a chill experience with the added bonus of an amazing tattoo.

Shawn really took the time to draw out what I verbalized for him. His skills are top notch. My piece was a cover up and you cant even tell what was originally there. I send all referrals to Shawn and his crew. Awesome work. Very happy.

In honor of my grandfather, I wanted a portrait of him on my chest. I was really worried about getting a portrait tattoo because Ive seen a lot that came out not looking so great but my friend referred me to this tattoo shop in Pomona and I am glad I went here. The tattoo they did on me was so nice and I am very happy with the work they did. My tattoos peeling right now and I cant wait to see how awesome it looks when its done healing.

Working on a full sleeve here, (artist. is jojo) funny friendly staff, vary clean site with amazing art on the walls. great music bumping which really takes the edge off, everytime i walk in i feel comfortable and relaxed and ready to get some ink! no need to check out other spots this shop is your stop for awesome work!

Great shop with great mix of artists. Very friendly service. The shop is very clean and has a an awesome collection of old flash and new flash pieces covering the walls. Great spot for sure!

Very clean, very solid work. The guys (and girl) there are all very friendly and willing to work with you on getting your custom tattoo just right. I will continue to get tattooed here and highly recommend them.

Went in for a quote. The man was a little rude. (Like I was bothering him) He wrote down my cell # and said that he would get back to me.. to schedule an appointment. Week three... I haven’t heard from him.
