I just had an amazing experience. The customer service skills are definitely up to par. Many places that I have frequented for piercings... I called prior to showing up. The quote was for a piercing and the business ethics are important for those like me travel to many places and thought about that one time you didnt go through with it. My piercing is something I thought about for five years. Visiting NYC will give you the courage to bite and get it done. Next piercing....

My daughter had her nose pierced here a week ago. Kelvin was warm, welcoming and professional throughout the entire process. The place was clean, the process was smooth, and my daughter is very happy with the results. A great experience overall.

Very professional and friendly staff. I got a tattoo done by Altamar, he was very professional and created a welcoming environment. Will definitely continue to get more tattoos by him. Nice work, very light with his hands.

This is the best place to go for a piercing. I got my septum pierced and my cousin got her belly button pierced on the 7th . When we got there they were very nice . We didnt have to wait long. I was very comfortable with what i saw as well. Very sanitary. Its been 6 days and i havent experienced any pain or discomfort and no swelling. I dont know if the swelling this is due to it being the septum lol but either way no pain no swelling.. ill def drive back to this place from springfield ma again if i want anything else done. The owner was very patient with my friend and I as we were indecisive about placement with our piercings. As nervous as I was it was all laughs and jokes through out the process to help my nerves. Customer service is great as a few weeks later my piercing came out and I went back for help.

I got my nose pierced here yesterday, it was super quick and barely felt anything! The guy who did it was very nice and explained everything well too

Just got my 2nd tattoo after not being tatted for over 15 years. To say i was nervous is an understatement, but by the grace of God i was blessed with a tattoo artist by the name of Chino. I had such a great experience with Kelvin! He is super professional and has such a great personality! He made my sister and I feel very comfortable and had great vibes! The shop is very clean and he is very detailed. My sister got a rook and tragus piercing and I got my nose pierced. I will definitely be coming back for some more work!

Had a wonderful experience getting my first ear peirced. The staff was super welcoming! The vibes were great! Me and my wife just had a good time hanging and waiting. Would definitely recommend to get any body mods or tattooing here! Would definitely come back for other things and would highly consider getting my first tattoo here!

I got two of my first cartilage piercings here and brought two different friends with me (who also were getting piercings) and we were all met with incredible care and service! We had all our questions answered, were surrounded by attentive and careful service, and all left very satisfied with our piercings and the advice given to us. Will definitely be coming back with other friends and family and for my own future piercings :) ( I got my Conch pierced the first time and my flat about a week or two later! My body is sensitive to certain metals and piercing healing has always been a pain but this time it went very well.)

I went in yesterday for my 13th piercing and man was I blown away by the customer service! Kelvin is very knowledgeable, friendly and gentle. His wife works along side him and was also a joy to be around. I went to get the rook piercing and was alittle hesitant due to location.Dont let the shop location fool you, it is clean and professional all around. I truly cant wait for them to relocate and blow the competition out of the water, with their services, prices and friendliness I look forward to going back!

Got a double nostril. Business was clean, professional. The piercer is knowledgeable and gentle, as well as a likable person in general. The price was very fair. The atmosphere in the establishment was friendly and all employees I met were well mannered. I went in later in the evening when business was slow, I did not have a wait time. I have received several piercings in the past, this was a pleasant experience and I’d be willing to come back and get something else done by Kapital.

I got 10 piercings done on my ears today. He was so careful with everything he did. I appreciate his passion for his work. He treated my ears as if they were canvases for his art. He sterilized my ears, which I’ve never seen any piercer do before (they normally just used alcohol.) he positioned every dot on my ear carefully. He made sure I liked everything before starting. He kept asking me how I was doing as he pierced my ears. He was very clean. He was also very kind, conversation with him came easy. He made sure to inform me about after care. Gave me his contact information Incase I had questions. Very informative.Location was a bit hard to find because its downstairs from a barber shop but google maps shows the right place. There is a sign right by the side of the barbershop entrance.The environment was homey. Felt like I was at a friends place. I also noticed he sold his own merchandise, which was pretty dope.I would honestly recommend anyone who’s getting a piercing to go see him.I will definitely be going back for future piercings.Update:It’s been a little over a year and my piercings look great. Haven’t had any problems with them and if I did I know I could I haven went to Kelvin with questions.I added heat after photos of my piercings. Honestly want more lol

I took my six month old to get her ears pierced. Kapital was so kind and playful with the baby. He took his time to sterilize, measure and mark her ears prior to piercing them to ensure the piercings would be leveled and even. He thoroughly cleaned the work surface before placing down the equipment and the needles and other tools were sterilized and individually sealed. He opened them right before use in front of us. He explained what he was going to do before doing it and was very patient when my little one cried after the first piercing. He thoroughly explained care instructions to avoid infections and made himself available in case any questions or concerns did come up. THE SERVICE WAS DEFINITELY 5-STAR, HANDS DOWN. The only reason I gave a four star rating is because there was a situation with some of the employees that was handled in a public manner in front of customers which could’ve been handled more privately. I understand situations come up and we all have bad days, but just something to be aware of.

I would like to start this review by simply saying THANK YOU KAPITAL! From the moment my daughter and I stepped into his shop, he welcomed us with respect. I was here for my seventeen year old daughters navel(belly) piercing. Kapital knew exactly what to say to put her at ease, as she was extremely nervous. He sanitized everything before he took us in and made sure I filled out the proper consent form. During the process he treated us like family, his patience, his attention to detail, his way of making us feel safe and comfortable was impeccable. I can’t say enough great things about this experience.

Kapital is the place to get pierced in the Heights! I got the conch inner ear piercing and it was swift and everything was explained to me. Kapital and Gisele run a respectable business. Everything is clean, professional, and thorough. Gisele is helpful and knowledgeable and Kapital is a gentleman who knows exactly what he is doing. I felt like I was in very good hands.

I got my tongue pierced too far back it swelled bad and i had to get it removed by doctor ( it is still a little swollen 😫) but also got a nose piercing and was very painless and healed perfectly.

Went in to get 2 daith piercings and my experience was not like the last piercing shop I went to. The other shop the piercer seemed like I was being a bother from the minute I walked in and rushed, but when I came here I felt welcomed. The piercer was knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure I was doing ok and was comfortable throughout the visit. Not to mention he also had gentle hands so I didnt feel too much. If I think about getting other piercings Im definitely coming back without hesitation.

Boy was I glad I booked & went!Firstly, customer service is A1- greeted soon as my daughter and I hit the door!Very informative, the Vibe was on point and overall experience was EVERYTHING!!This establishment is CLEAN CLEAN! I mean like I could eat my lunch on the floor clean. The equipment is sanitized/sterilized and nothing is used twice.I originally only booked for nose piercing but once I seen Kap’s wife’s teeth gemz it was over. She is professional, informative and absolutely a doll. My teeth gemz came out beautifully & Kap did an AMAZING job on my nose piercing. Hands down best shop in NYC if not the country. Alex was the artist that did my tattoo, saying that he is talented is a understatement he took his time and paid very good attention to detail to the smallest thing, He was very delicate with the gun wasn’t aggressive between all 3 sessions the quality of work didn’t go down. I showed him my idea and gave him the freedom to make it work. His creativity and skill deserves more then 5 stars I will travel to get all my future work done by Alex and letting everyone know who needs a tattoo

I am glad I found this spot in the neighborhood. The reviews are proof of the experience you’ll have here. I appreciate the level care from Kelvin and his partner had in giving me my second lobe piercings and instructions for care. I am a naturally anxious person but I felt immediate relief once I had my ears pierced again. Don’t go to Claire’s or some random place with guns in the neighborhood. Go here!

Amazing service! I had a threadless nose ring that was almost impossible to take off on my own. Kelvin was able to remove it in seconds and change into another stud! Super clean and the price was affordable as well! 10000000/10

It was my very first time getting my nose pierced. At first I was nervous. But as soon as you walk in the atmosphere is welcoming, the place is very clean, and everyone is so nice. When I got my piercing, it was a pinched and didnt hurt much. The pain from 1-10 is a 2 or 3 then the pain goes away very fast! You wont regret it. Im going back to get a second hole in my ears🙂

Kelvin is just awesome. He really cares about his costumers. I went in to get my belly pierced and I was very scared. Kelvin made me feel reassured that I would be okay. To make a long story short he definitely took care of me and very fast. His friendly demeanor makes him very approachable. He was very clear and concise on things that I had to do to take care of my piercing. If I become brave enough again I would definitely get another piercing with him. Definitely recommendable!

The place was a little hard for me to find being that Im not from the neighborhood, but if you have trouble just know its directly under a barbershop!The experience I had was commendable. Kapital and his wife were professional, very organized, respectful, and cordial! It was super easy using the website to book an appointment which was important to me because I didnt want to just go anywhere and deal with a bunch of people while trying to get my ears pierced.Kapital definitely exudes experience! He asked me if I wanted to have my ears pierced where I had had them before and I was surprised he could tell because I hadnt worn piercings in well over 10 years! On top of that he said all he had to do was reopen the holes, and since there wasnt much piercing to do he charged me 20 instead of the 30 for what the piercing was supposed to cost.That was a level of honesty that was frankly surprising and refreshing! He could have kept that from me and I would have been none the wiser. I definitely plan on going back for other things in the future and Id highly recommend to my friends and family as well!Keep up the great work you two! I came here because I had a really swollen piercing from a previous piercer. I found Kapital and they had amazing reviews. Kelvin and his wife were so nice and understanding. They are very informed and know exactly what they’re doing, They helped me with my issue and took my piercing out. I will definitely come back for any future piercings.

I got my second piercing ever, and my first septum piercing here.They offer piercings tattoos and teeth whitening services.I had to reschedule once, call once about my lateness due to traffic, and sign a consent form.The man servicing me is very professional. He examined my nose the entire time to make sure placement was correct.Then, the needle. It was quick, kinda hurt and my eyes watered, but soon the pain went away.I was met with a surgical steel circular barbell ring, to hide for interviews and such.3 times a day, spray with wound wash or preferably their aloe and sea salt. I was told it can be removed after 2 months.Right now the piercing only has a spaced out small dull pain and I hope for the best.51.88 was my total and I definetly hope to come back again after I heal.

Booked an appointment- came in early only to be told he didn’t have the jewelry size for the piercing I booked. wish I would of known that before coming from the Bronx... 🙄.Then he tells me he’s going downtown and will text me - I thought about waiting around good thing I didn’t it’s been a day later and nothing . I took my daughter for a nose piercing and everything worked out great. We called ahead so he knew expect us. Kelvin made my daughter feel comfortable, he was very professional and sanitary. I went here on 3/31/18 to get my nipples pierced. Kelvin could tell how nervous I was and talked me through the whole process. I brought a friend to help calm my nerves and all three of us had a conversation while he was piercing me. One thing I noticed was that he took his time to make sure the piercings were correctly aligned and straight. Took him an extra 5 minutes just to do that but I appreciated it in the end. He was very clean. He also gave me a lot of confidence that my body is beautiful the way it is, and that’s the first step when it comes to body modification. After he was done, he spoke to me about how to clean it. Overall, 10/10 for the experience and the piercings. They definitely hurt. But not as badly as you’d think. I say the pain level was 6/10, and I’m someone who can’t tolerate pain all that well. They were worth it for me. And I’m going back to do my tattoo.

Great little hidden jem in the Heights. I was itching for a few new piercings so I turned to google. This place had great reviews so I checed it out. Walk through the barbershop, down the stairs, then open the door. It is closed off from the barbershop so it is clean and also air conditioned. Nice atmosphere when you walk in. They are very friendly and professional, while keeping it fun. He took his time laying out all of the sterilized equipment he was going to need. Also took the time to make sure everything lined up perfectly. 10/10 Ill def go back for any other future piercings

I went for a consultation and the artist said he’d call me back to either squeeze me in or schedule an appointment and he didn’t. It’s been a whole week and I haven’t heard anything. I waited more than an hour to even meet with any artist available there. It’s a shop full of young people who don’t have any regard for professionalism. They told me they would follow up with me and didn’t. All I expected was for them to keep their word and for Professionalism and they couldn’t even do that.

I first went to get a piercing which healed greatly and they were all so professional and friendly I knew I’d be back . Just got a tattoo today with Gerardo he did a great job with my tatt !!! I love it , and he was not only professional but I saw him clean and prep everything right in front of me as well as open new needle and clean tools as well . The manager Giselle is just wonderful she’s so pleasant , professional these people all have great energy and professionalism they also try to be flexible with appts . worth every Penny I highly recommend !!! You pay for quality not to upkeep a boujie shop.trust me Go there for your tatts and piercings I genuinely give them 5 stars

The piercer was so kind and helpful. I had my ear pierced elsewhere and it got infected. I called the shop about two hours before closing and after telling him what happened, he saw me in 30 mins. I will definitely go there to get pierced next time. Thank you so much!

Kelvin was a knight in shining armor! I came in with two infected forward helixes and a conch piercing that was never fully pierced! He was so kind and professional and took excellent care of my ear. Kapital was very personable and knowledgeable. I told him I wanted my old piercings back; he said rather than repiercing those areas he’s going to use a gage and make sure they aren’t closed rather than repiercing stuff that are open. I also got a new piercing and he made me comfortable while I was nervous. He’s really there for his customers rather than looking out for self. Anything I want done, I’m definitely going back to him. He’s very kind and compassionate.

Okay, I dont know what that last dude was talking about but my WALK-IN experience was great!! Was in town and decided to get a last minute tattoo, found kapital piercings and they were simply outstanding. The environment was laid back and humorous. Kelvin was knowledgable in his work and had very relaxing hands. Was filled with laughs and smiles, which whom were also produced by Giselle and Frank. Not only do they make sure you are happy with their work but they also make your experience a priority. Nonetheless, a memorable time. Definetly going to visit if Im ever in the area.

I tried to call and get a second piercings on my ears, but was having a hard time finding the store location (between 175/176 on Audubon). I called the number on google and informed the owner that I was trying to find his location. He told me that he only took appointments then proceeded to ask if I was in nyc or Miami, to which I obviously respond NYC to and he says “oh sorry, I’m in Miami” and then just hangs the phone up on me. I guess no piercing for me 😂 smh

I was told at work I needed to remove my thermo face pericing. I was gonna have to go to the emergency room and pay $2000 😫. I called Calvin and he said he will remove it for $20!!!, that’s amazing. Got a tattoo randomly with a good friend and honestly I had 5 tattoos and i have always experienced the pain of getting one. Today i get my 6th tattoo and the tattoo artist was so gently with the needles that I honestly at one point didnt think he was tattooing and when he told me he was done I was very surprised. Came to the shop, had to wade through piles of cut hair on the floor only to find that the attendant was out and shop was closed during its listed work hours. Tried calling three times and it went to voicemail. Im all about supporting community businesses but this may not be one Id like to support. If youre traveling from far, and dont have an appointment- save yourself the trip and go somewhere else for a walk in.
