I got my nipples pierced here last night and the experience was perfect! sam is super sweet and professional. the piercing itself was quick and relatively painless (given that it was a nipple piercing). i love that he didn’t use a clamp as it cut down on the overall pain experience. their jewelry selection is expansive (i got gold rings with rhinestones which is exactly what i wanted).he did an amazing job and i love my new piercing :))) GET PIERCED AT NYC INK!!!

Two of us had ear piercings here because the shop was clean and welcoming. Sam was friendly, helpful, and patient. He marked out the placings, let us check, the did a swift and fine job. Thank you, sam.

Sam was and has been absolutely amazing. He’s very professional, knowledgeable and kind, truly a person of professionalism and knowledgeable about the industry. 10/10 would recommend I come back with questions and he hasn’t hesitated to look at my piercing to make sure it’s healing properly (for reference he did my conch), and has answered all my questions. Definitely my go to spot for piercings now.

My 14 yr old son got his eyebrow pierced the other day and everything went extremely well. The owner, Sam has had over 25 yrs of experience and it showed. He was patient, kind, and explained the process and upkeep clearly. My son felt very little discomfort and his piercing site is not even red or swollen. The shop was very clean and we felt like we were in good hands. Thank you Sam! We recommend him highly.

Awesome friday the 13th tattoo deal - they had options of $20 , $40 & $60. they took my friends and I really quickly, each tat took less than 10 mins. super clean lines. no frills tattoo shop, it was perfect! thanks guys !

Absolutely amazing service… we went there for matching tattoos as a tribute to someone special and Jade was so patient with us as we decided on what we wanted and was so empathetic to our cause… it was a beautiful moment we were able to capture with beautiful artwork… will definitely come back again.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Sam and Nycink. I got back dermals done and he was extremely professional, calming, and answered all of the questions and concerns I had. He even let me two friends come back and support me through the entire process. If you’re thinking about dermals, or any other piercing, don’t waste your money anywhere else - immediately see Sam and his crew at Nycink. The process was painless and even though I was a walk in client the wait time was minimal. I will never go anywhere else for any piercing needs.

Sam is the best! Hes done 5 of my ear piercings (upper lobe, helix, rook, and double mid-helix) and theyve all healed beautifully. Went to NYC Ink to get my daith pierced and my friend got a helix piercing. We were able to walk right in and get our piercings done. The piercer helped us pick jewelry and stay in our respective price ranges. They have titanium jewelry which is great if you 1) dont want to spend a ton of money and 2) have metal sensitivity.I have multiple piercings and the daith hurt the worst by far. It took a long while to get the needle through since the cartilage is so thick, and the jewelry insert was painful as well. BUT this morning it all feels good.

Had a lovely experience having my daughter’s ears pierced by Sam. He was very kind and totally put my child at ease. The entire experience was totally safe, hygienic and wonderful in every way - perfect place for an important right of passage experience! Thank you, Sam!

Dont go here for the jewelery; its cheap, overpriced, and you can find similar jewelery on Amazon for a quarter of the price.EDIT(response to owner):My point is proven. Not once did we discuss the differences between gold and titanium jewelery, not that that discussion was needed on my part. Instead of inquiring further on the issues I had at your store, you go straight to insulting my intelligence....I wonder why that is? Again, dont go here... youll get robbed.

I went to Sam with a cartilage piercing done at another piercing shop that had been bothering me for months. He helped me drain the infection and change the jewelry. I felt immediate relief. I went in for periodic checkups afterwards, and he cleaned it each time - he helped me fully heal it within weeks!I will definitely go to Sam for any future piercings. He is so kind and thorough, I highly recommend him!

Sam is so patient with allowing clients to make decisions regarding jewelry. He tries to get an idea of their vision and assist but also allows time to form a plan. His jewelry selection is the best I’ve ever seen in a shop. I was able to get a double forward helix done, replace jewelry in my room and find the perfect jewelry for my septum.Absolutely recommend and will be back the next time I’m in the city.

The most important thing to me in every city I’ve lived in is finding a tattoo shop that feels like home. When I walk in, I know the owner, I know the artists, and it’s a place where I can just be me, get some incredible work, and be apart of an artistic experience. I found that right away when I walked in the doors of @nycink. They have done incredible work for me in this city and for my friends. The warmth of this shop is amazing and Sam is such an awesome guy who knows the tattoo and piercing culture. My experience with Sam was fantastic. He pierced my conch and he did it flawlessly!! I did not feel a pinch and he was done in a blink. The piercing healed great and so far he has checked it twice and cleaned it for me . Sam also gave me further instructions on how to maintain it clean to avoid infection. I would like to add the jewelry at NYC Ink are of quality and beautiful!! so many selections to choose from. Excellent service and experience; 10/10 would recommend.

Tattoo and piercing shop with a very large selection of jewelry. I always come here for new jewelry when in the city. Sam is very knowledgeable about piercings and jewelry size for them. He makes sure that you are happy with your purchases before leaving his shop. I will be back next time I am in NYC.

Went in to get my nose piercing put in again because it fell out. I obviously didn’t expect to get it for free but they wanted to charge me an obnoxious number, literally the same amount of getting a new one and on top of that the guy continued by being extra snarky and saying “oh u didn’t expect us to do it for free right” in a mean manner with his tone and expressions which made me feel horrible for the rest of my day. Be respectful there is a human in front of you!

Amazing experience for anxious people!!I got my septum done here yesterday, I did not catch my piercers name but he was very welcoming and created a comfortable environment. He showed me the sterile needle and piercing before beginning and gave me a moment to breathe once the needle was through! Amazing experience:D He even adjusted the jewelry for me!! Definitely would come again, now my smiley and nose match, Thank you!!

I lost my nose ring while on vacation for the weekend. Walked in and was immediately helped with exactly what I needed, including the price. The piercer even helped me with another piercing concern I had for free. Highly recommend.

I came here for a nose piercing in which he did an amazing job and price was fair. Around 8 months later I came back because I was having trouble putting it back in after taking it off in the morning for an interview. He was very welcoming and helpful in putting it back with no hesitation. He made me feel like I wasn’t just another customer from months ago and a customer for life. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the low star reviews and people complaining about price is people who stay at a $30 a night 1 star motel and expect 5 star luxury all inclusive resort service.

The owner was so incredibly nice. We were visiting the city for the weekend & my daughters piercing fell out while out walking around nyu. . He assessed the situation and said it would need to be corrected before it closed up. Did a great job. Would highly recommend.

Sam was excellent! They allow walk-in appointments which was convenient since we went for piercings on a whim. Very professional, fast, and sanitary—even used separate needles for each piercing on the same ear. Definitely will be back.

Went in to get my philtrum pierced and the guy was very nice he took his Time to show me which jewelry would be best. When it was time to pierce me he made sure to show me that all the equipment was in unopened packages and that he was sterilizing the jewelry. He was really gentle and quick. He made sure that I was satisfied with the outcome of the piercing before I left. He also told me if there were any issues or I was unsatisfied I should return and he would take care of me. Very good customer service.

The owner is a scam artist. The piercings I received were lopsided. The ring itself was far too long forcing me to have to come back and have them cut a month later but I chose not to. After giving my experience some thought I was greatly upset. On top of that the owner didn’t tell me the price of my earrings or the service until it was done and they were in my ears. So of course I was hauntingly surprised to hear that my total was over $300 when I expressed I was looking for the bare minimum in earrings just to get my through the healing process. A complete scam. The length of the long piercings made it impossible to fall asleep on my sides at night that is until I pulled one of the earrings out after confirming with several people that they were lopsided. Never going to this establishment again. Overall horrible service!!

This is my go-to place for piercings. Sam, the owner, is amazing and a true artist. I first went on recommendation from a friend and got my ear helix double pierced. Sam was great with placement of the piercings and all of the aftercare. I went back regularly as it healed and Sam always greeted me with a smile and took care of me. I came back to get a second lobe piercing, and again, Sam is the best. I have come with friends to get things pierced, and they agree that this is their new go-to place.As for jewelry, they have a great selection! Sam even custom designed an earring for me!I have never had a tattoo, but I have seen many people come in for them, and they are treated with the same care as I have been. The shop is extremely clean as well and they all take the necessary medical precautions.

As a native Queens girl I know I could’ve gotten my nose pierced for less close to home but I have zero regrets about spending the money at NYC Ink because I know I wouldn’t have received the care and quality elsewhere. Sam’s shop is clean and friendly. Sam made a point of showing me that everything was sterile and gave me options on the initial ring for the piercing. He was gentle and quick and forward about what to expect. I asked about going with a hoop right off the bat but he didn’t recommend it. I was so happy with everything that my friend opted to get her septum done which also came out amazing. Sam even gave me a hoop ring on the house for when my piercing heals and did the same for my friend. Great place!

Sam pierced the nipples of myself and 3 other girls one summer night and was incredibly clean, fast and professional. Very fair pricing and also a nice guy. I got my triple forward helix done at another shop and they butchered my ears, he saved that piercing, changed it to proper jewelry, cleaned out the cysts growing around the piercing and didnt charge me for anything more than the jewelry. I think he felt bad for me hah but still, great guy.

I am very happy with the service I had here. Amazing service, great music and a overall fun vibe. I came here to get my first industrial piercing and it went great!! I was extremely nervous because I knew it was going to hurt but the pain wasn’t as bad as I thought. I was well assured that I was in good hands and all the products were sterilized. When I was being pierced, he distracted me by asking questions while piercing me which definitely helped. I highly recommend this place for future piercings!

The only place I will ever get in piercing in NYC!! They have the best selection of earrings here and Sam knows how to make it quick and painless. He repierced my cartilage that always got infected and I haven’t had a problem since! I got my tragus today and it came out perfect. This place is great. The piecer knows what he’s doing. I got my belly button pierced and it looks good and I had no issues after. He even checks on your piercing weeks after. I was so nervous to get it done and all I did was blink and it was over. Worth every penny. I would def recommend.

Had 2 piercing emergencies while on vacation and picked this place at random. He was so helpful and professional. Cleaned and fixed a nose and navel piercing. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time I’m on the city.

I went there because my ear piercing was infected. I didnt even need an appointment, simply walked in and a very nice lady took care of my ear. I wish I knew her name, because she was fantastic. Sometimes piercers are a bit reluctant to cure an infected piercing that wasnt done in their studio, but this lady was very professional about it. She cleaned up my ear, disinfected everything, and after a day the nasty infection was sorted out. She even gave me her personal phone number in case I needed her in the future! The staff is very friendly and trustworthy, and I would totally recommend this studio to anyone who wants to get pierced.

Wonderful service! Was in and out for two earlobe piercings. Theyre all very nice and helpful, friendly without being intrusive. Would recommend to anyone. The only thing is the prices seem a bit high but there are Groupon and Yelp deals that help significantly.

Awful attitude! No hospitality at all, and we were laughed at for not having an exact picture of the tattoo we wanted. He had no catalogues nor font options. Very bad experience compared to the surrounding, similar shops.

I went today and got a memorial piece for my friend who passed away. The manager and tattoo artist (Jeff) were the sweetest people to help with the best outcome possible. They take their time with you to make sure you’re comfy with the design and sizing. GO TO THEM💗💗

I really wanted my 9 yr old daughter to have a proper piercing since a bad experience with the common ear gun piercing. Isadora pierced my daughters ears and I got a 2nd piercing in my ear lobes. Sam was great on making sure she got a lollipop & fake tattoo before leaving. The place was clean and the staff there is great! Totally recommend!

Sam is wonderful with kids. He pierced my 6 year old daughters ears. She loves the earrings and speaks of Sam fondly and about how brave she was. All in all a great experience.

Got my nose pierced here.. Ive gotten my nose pierced multiple times and this is the only time i didnt regret it because of the piercing pains. The owner is very knowledgeable on his jewelry and piercings. Very clean space. Just a little pricey- 50 dollars per piercing + cost of jewelry. I used a groupon deal which was great. Will be returning for my future piercings.

I went to NYC Ink for my ear piercings, and was not disappointed!! i got a second lobe piercing and a cartilage piercing, and both healed quickly and look great. everything was super clean, professional, and timely, and everyone who works there was friendly and kind. i’ve come back with friends, and would definitely get more piercings there in the future. i highly recommend you stop by!!!!!!!

I got a piercing here, which went great, no issues. Through my own stupidity, it got infected a few months later and I went in to get the infection addressed. I am a wuss about blood, however, and managed to drift into unconsciousness during the (gentle!) process. The owner propped my stupid feet up and got me an emergency cookie from next door. I wouldnt recommend this as a way to get cookies, but would 100% recommend this place for customer service.

I was nervous about getting my piercings but he did a fantastic job!! I was scared for the needle but he was talking to me to distract me when he puts the needle through my ears!! I loved the service

Nose piercing was overpriced and no aftercare instructions were given. Nose piercing fell out two days later in my sleep with no other prompting, I’ll be looking for a refund.

I done my pierce here twice, great service and earring options (gold and titanium). They are happy to answer questions and help about my pierce even though it has been while.

This place is a joke, I wouldn’t spend the time even looking in the window.My fiancé came in a couple of months ago to get a piercing. It was a delicate piercing, so we knew it would take a while to heal, but this is something else.When we were taken back that evening, the piercer didn’t tell us his name, prices, nor even aftercare instructions. He seemed bothered by having to do his job and not talk to his friends.Here we are, a few months later, and the second piercer we have consulted (a friend) called it one of “the most horribly botched piercings I’ve ever seen.” The two are uneven, with the left side piercing closer to the surface than the right, which the piercing put in way too deep. We have had to seek treatment for an abscess that formed as a result of the right side being too deep into the skin.I invite the owner to go ahead and deny this. I am happy to provide physical evidence from a second piercer as well as a licensed physician.

Went in to ask for a quote for piercings. Started to describe what I would need done. I was in the middle of a sentence when the man behind the counter interrupted me and gave me prices. I thanked him and, as I started to head back out, he said I didnt finish. The woman behind him, who I assume to be an employee, laughed at his remark. I went back, apologized, and he proceeded to tell me that those were service prices that did not include jewelry.I understand that I may have accidentally been rude in my hurry to leave, but the people here seem very unprofessional and I will not be returning to this place.

I went to NYC Ink yesterday to get my cartilage pierced. I have seven piercings and every time I go to get something done, Im always uneasy since I have a low tolerance for pain. I found the people who worked at NYC Ink were incredibly professional and friendlier than most of the places I have been to on St. Marks Place and around the NYU area. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Professional clean and fun group of people . Prices are very fair the place is clean and nice. I watched the peircer open brand new needles and everything was completely sterilized. It was a great experience i highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get peirced. I will most definitely return to NYC INK.

My brother scheduled an appointment since July 10 !!!And right now it is July 25 he scheduled an appointment because of the mere fact that the lady Sylvia did not do the tattoo to the full potential that I see on Instagram so he wanted to get redone by the shop owner Ratton and the first time they said that he booked the wrong person which was Sylvia to redo his tattoo so we chose another date With ratton And then on the day of the time he was supposed to get his tattoo he texted my brother and said that he couldn’t do his tattoo because he hast to go somewhere and then he scheduled again which was July 24 and he said that he can’t do his tattoo because he has to have a anniversary for the tattoo parlor which is understandable but the amount of times that my brother has to reschedule just to get a tattoo done because they overprice them for $700 is crazy so they offered to do his tattoo for free because Sylvia did not do the tattoo to her full potential and now my brother has to wait to get his tattoo done because we are going on vacation on August 11 and he wanted for his tattoo to fully heal before he goes in water and he told the tattoo artist many times but there was still many times of rebooking we have to now wait when we come back which is August 23 for him to get his tattoo done I see that he does good work but it should not take this much just to get a tattoo done because of another person‘s not doing the tattoo correct I wouldn’t recommend the store but the service is incredibly unprofessional but they can do good work I personally would not recommend and by the way did I mention that they overprice them $700 for a forearm tattoo that was not even a full half sleeve

I decided to explore the area MacDougallIts a nice busy little area that I dont think a lot of people do know about that live in the city.I wanted to get a new body jewelry for my outer crotch Ive been stuck with a labret for the past five months I was punched out with 10 gauge and I thought it would be a good idea to get a double flare tunnel which would give a little bit more security than the single flare tunnel that I already had so I decided to buy it last night got home but didnt realize that it wouldnt be enough room for the piercing to breathe and would have been almost near impossible for me to clean it properly it was $20 which was a little on the pricey side I decided to come back today to see if I could get my money back he wouldnt refund me the money which was somewhat annoying because Im limited to one or two options to what jewelry to wear and that part of my ear and opted to exchange it for another jewelry now this is where the problem comes into play I decided to go along and get tunnels for my ear blows to which I have not worn since November and I do not know what size tunnels to get but I am currently wearing 2 8 Gage Center ball bead in the in the area he did not want to take out the rings that were already in my ear after I explained I dont know what size I am to just double check to see what size I actually were if I were to get the tunnels. And started to check the size of the Rings that I had in my ear which I knew were 8 gaged at this point Im getting a little annoyed that hes not listening to me I have over 20 body piercings and he tried to explain to me that he cant just go find a taper to put it in my ear to find the see what size I am so that I would get the correct size tunnels since I did not know what size I was and wear and that Im in a piercing store that would clearly have the tools but he refused and I said dont you guys sanitize the tools and he seemed to me after that didnt want to do as I told him to do Im not going to buy something or exchange something that I know Im not going to wear and if Im the customer arent they right I have over 20 piercings you could have just simply gave me back the money or take the Rings I had out put the tape in the find out what size I actually would wear give me those sizes and I would have been a happy customer. I think he is Hispanic or some other ethnicity and English is not his first language and there might have been some confusion and what I was saying and explaining to him and this is where I got frustrated and so I left unsatisfied with $20 going to the winds other than that their piercings are expensive being $49Im making this point out that he did try to meet me halfway but if I do not know what size I currently weird when it had benefit you after all youre a business and at the ending of the day Im a customer in a customer keeps you in Business Without customer you wouldnt have a shop and its goes for all businesses

Had a female artist tattoo my arm about (2) months ago. If you look at the enclosed photo, the one on the left is what I wanted, and the one on the right is what I got. It’s already dropped ink, looks fuzzy, and is not what I wanted. So mad because I have to have it fixed ($). Would never go back. Save your money there are other tattoo shops in the area!!

If i could give this place 0 stars i would...i came in in need to put my jewelry back in my trangus and the rude piercer refused to do it because it wasnt his jewelry...i did not like his tone of voice it was very unprofessional.

Walked in inquiring about an ear piercing and the man there was very rude speaking to me and when I walked in he was on the phone and didn’t even bother to acknowledge us for about 3 minutes.

Super quick, great pricing, extremely friendly customer service, and they even gave me 2 lollipops!
