Red Baron Ink Tattoo and Piercing

I think my prior post got deleted, but I got an amazing sunflower tattoo by Daisy earlier this year and I absolutely love it. It has healed beautifully -the first photo is from today 7 months later and the pinkish photo is from the day I got it. All of the colors have held up really well.Daisy was so lovely, kind, and gentle and made the overall experience very pleasant. I will definitely be back for my next tattoo.

Had a great experience at RBI, got a full color 10*6 tattoo for a reasonable price, but the value is incredible. Grant worked with me to make the tattoo I wanted a reality. Great environment, clean and very welcoming to people getting their first tattoo or piercing.

I had such an amazing experience at Red Baron Ink! I was tattooed by Grant but him and every other person in that shop had such great energy and made the place a very comfortable and fun environment. Grant made sure I was in control of the whole process and he clearly communicated his vision and how he was going to go about it. He was a great listener when it came to what I wanted in the tattoo and just regular conversation. The shop itself was very easy to find and very clean. Their response time was super fast. I’ve never gotten such fast replies from any business before. All around this shop and the people in it are 100/10 and I couldn’t recommend them enough. I only have good things to say about them. I am definitely going back for any of my tattoo or piercing needs.

Dave is the absolute best when it comes to bringing my tattoos to life. Hes done everything from halo,star wars, gundam, spider man, and Mass Effect tattoos for me, and were not done. He is especially great at stencil placement, and his shading is top-notch! He dosent rush his work, and he always looks over my tattoos when I come back in to make sure they heal good. I highly recommend Dave and Red Barron Ink!!!

Incredibly quick to respond to my emails, I got an appointment booked within the span of an hour and a half! Super friendly staff, great environment, and super clean. I got tattooed by Grant, and he busted this piece out in six hours! Super funny and easy to talk to, and kept things professional as well. If I’m back in NYC I know where I’m getting my next tattoo!

Honestly, Im not one to write reviews but this place deserves one. I come here to get my piercings done by Xavier and Masie. Ive never once felt uncomfortable with either one of them, if anything very welcomed and accepted. In June I got my first tattoo done by David- he was such a sweetheart and understood my concerns, talked me through aftercare, tried to relax me as much as possible and kept me very comfortable. Everyone in the shop are amazingly talented individuals who deserve the world. P.S The shop also looks really cool and clean- I love looking at the books and the art on the wall.

This place is absolutely PHENOMENAL! My fiancé and I were in NYC on a quick getaway and happened to be walking by. She wanted to get her ears double pierced as a souvenir. We popped in and Xavier was extremely friendly and professional and got her piercings done. I mentioned I wanted my first tattoo, so he introduced me to Dave @ganjatattoos. I explained how I love Negronis and would love the “3 equal parts” portrayed. He drew up a custom piece and the following afternoon I had my first tattoo! I absolutely love and WILL be coming back to get more every time I’m in town!

Dave is an absolute legend. His creativity, professionalism, sense of humor, and knowledge make getting tatted by him a great experience. I was able to give him the bones of a tattoo idea that is personal and very important to me and what he created was unique and beautiful. I’ve gotten two done by him and will keep coming back!

Adrienne is singlehandedly the driving force behind my continuous return to RBI. She is incredibly communicative and understanding. She will do absolutely everything in her power to make sure you have a design you are enthralled with and that you are comfortable, both with her and in the environment overall. Ive been tattooed by her twice so far, and the first tattoo has healed perfectly, the second was done a few days ago and is healing just as well. Adrienne is incredibly speedy with her replies through instagram, I simply cannot recommend her enough. Our first tattoo appointment was roughly five hours long and I truly dont believe there was even a moment of silence between us from the moment we sat down to start the tattoo, instantaneously she became one of my favorite people and my go-to artist. She is also incredibly receptive to changes and edits to her ideas, without complaint, as with my knee tattoo (fully custom) there initially no shading; however, upon my request she was happy to oblige and was even overjoyed with the outcome herself.I have also worked with Shamil, who was the first artist I worked with at RBI, who I had a wonderful time with during my session; though, I have heard mixed reviews from others who have worked with him on tattoos. He was very understanding and very easygoing when it came to changing placement and sizing for my tattoo (a pair of bat shears on my arm; pre-drawn flash).Ive also worked with Joanna, who no longer works at this shop, but is truly a sweetheart and very communicative. She completed some freehanded leafy and vine adornments for my pre-existing sternum/under bust tattoo to help it better fit the area.The majority of studio staff are also very friendly and tidy, though there has been some times where personality clashes were present in a few encounters, as well as a lack of communication and documentation when it came to a gift card, purchased during a special, though it was sorted out relatively quickly.The pricing when it comes to the tattoos seem to run on the pricier side in my and others experiences, though Adrienne especially makes it a point to discuss pricing and budget from the very beginning to avoid any blind-sighting. I have been getting tattooed by Grant for almost a decade, he is nothing less than an exceptional artist and is truly a master of his craft. All of my tattoos still look fresh and vibrant than the day I got them years ago and I am fully confident that they will last the test of time. Everyone in the shop is very friendly and every time I go back they make me feel like I’m part of the family.

Recently got my shin/calf tattooed by Grant here. This is my second piece done by him and he did an amazing job once again. The shop was clean and the overall experience was great. I will be returning for more tattoos in the near future.

This has been something Ive wanted to do for an incredibly long time but never fully knew what I wanted. When I reached out to Eric, we set up a consultation, I told him all the elements I really wanted. (The meaning, the coloring, the vibe, some random art I liked) But I still didnt know what that would turn into. You could tell though that he understood everything I asked for, and I knew that what he would come up with would blow my mind.It did. It certainly did :)

Grant absolutely killed it! He brought my idea to life and crushed it! Patient, communicative, & very knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back!

Dave created 2 unique tattoo designs for both my wife and myself. As an artist he displayed meticulous attention to detail and incredible skill in shading my tattoo. The shops standards for cleaning and sanitation were as systematic as you would find in a hospital surgical suite. We will definitely be getting future tattoos at Red Baron Ink!

I should’ve written this review when I went there. They were very friendly and helpful when the tattoo and piercing place in the Bronx were terrible. Red Baron is a great place to go to, the female staff, I believe her name is Lauren took care of me when my navel piercing was hanging down. She explained everything to me, she was very helpful. When I told her my situation with the other place when they told me to let the piercing fall out, even she explained that’s not what they were supposed to say. She was able to take out the piercing and waited a few months to get repierced by her, she did a great job. I would definitely recommend this place.

I am very pleased with RBI and my tattoo artist Grant. First of all, I loved how during my first consultation with Grant, he was not pushy with booking my appointment. He gave me time to think about it - after all, it is a huge commitment! I have been emailing him and Adam (manager) and they were super attentive and helpful. Grant is a highly talented artist. He knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted my tattoo. The way he brought to life my tattoo is breathtaking. I would 1000% recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for any tattoo size and design. Of course I am biased with going with Grant but he has some very talented artists there as well (I watched them work while I was getting my tattoo for 6 hours). No regrets whatsoever!

Had my ears double pierced by Maisie, she was incredible. I am terrified of needles and hadn’t had a piercing since my elementary school Claire’s era and was so scared but Maisie was exceptional. She was very patient and helped get them done exactly right, explained the whole process step by step and somehow made me feel very zen. Didn’t hurt a bit!! Thank you Maisie

I can’t highly recommend this place enough! I got 3 flats and I thought the jewelry selection was perfect for what I was looking for. Xavier was so patient with my friend and I, he was very knowledgeable about the piercings we wanted and the after care of them, and he also kept the space extremely clean. I will definitely come back here again!

I want to say Im a pretty anxious person but after getting my first tattoo done, it was such a memorable experience because it felt like I was in good hands. Dave was incredible at working on the design with me and putting that vision into the tattoo. Would definitely come back!!

I got a tattoo here about a year ago.When I made the appointment, I asked if I could get a sketch a few days early since I was flying in just for the appointment, and wanted to make sure the artist and I were on the same page about the design.The owner confirmed and promised Id get an early sketch. He said this multiple times.Of course, I never got a sketch, and when I showed up to the appointment the artist had a gorgeous, fully colorized design that was nothing at all like I wanted. I was so close to demanding my deposit back and just walking out (and if I were in this position again I would) but I had already spent over $1k in flights and lodging just to be there for the appointment.The artist had to draw a new design entirely from scratch in the moment and over the next few hours we tried to get to something acceptable (though the coloring was done while she tattooed, so I had no idea what it would actually look like in the end). Overall It turned out OK, though there are a bunch of details I still dont like.This was the most stressful and frustrating tattoo experience Ive ever had. And it could have easily been avoided by just doing what he promised and send me a sketch early, instead of surprising me on the day of the appointment with a fully colored design that I hated.

I did some research, and decided to reach out to Red Baron Ink for my next tattoo. I wanted a NYC tattoo to commemorate my times in the city. I had an idea, no specific artwork that I shared. Grant executed my idea beyond my imagination! I traveled from Cincinnati to have this done. We have great artists here, but I wanted to have it done in NYC. I could not be happier with my decision! From my first email, to my appointment, everything was handled so professionally and smoothly. This is a top notch studio, filled with extremely talented artists. Grant is amazing to work with, and I fully trusted him to do my piece. The staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome. I am already looking forward to booking my next appointment! I finally made my way into the shop and it was so worth it. Everyone in the shop was so nice and made me super comfortable. Grant was absolutely amazing, he took a custom design I brought him and made it look absolutely incredible. You can really tell the amount of love and skill they put into their craft. (Plus all the artists have insane tattoos, which I loved seeing.) I cannot wait to come back for my next piece. One of the best tattoo experiences of my life hands down.

After my father passed I wanted to get a tattoo to honor his memory and after much thought, I finally decided on a design that Grant brought to life. I wasn’t entirely sure where I wanted it or how big, but Grant really helped me understand where to put it to get the best result. It far exceeded my expectations and in the short time I’ve had it, I’ve gotten so many compliments. The detail and design is amazing and I’m so happy with the final result. Grant does amazing work and is so personable and patient that he made the entire experience seamless. Highly recommend RBI and especially Grant and will definitely be coming back here when I’m ready for next one.

Amazing customer service, really nice people working there. Britaini is soooo talented, highly recommend her for coverups and tattoos with intricate shading, she really knocked it out of the park. I took off a star because I found the fluorescent lights too blinding, and there was a lack of art/flash on the walls. When I get tattooed I don’t want to stare at a nearly blank wall or see dark spots the entire time. My main reason for knocking off a star is the tax I was charged. Even with cash I was charged tax on a deposit and the tattoo itself. Every other business in NYC where I’ve paid cash, there’s been no tax. I was a bit thrown off but maybe that’s my bad for not knowing beforehand; however I have gotten tatted all over the world, and it was a first time that’s ever happened. Really good experience overall still but I felt bad I didn’t have enough cash to tip because of the unexpected tax, so I transferred the tip making this tattoo wayyy over 100$ more than expected after already ending up on the highest end of what I was quoted. Also I was charged for a bandage which again was a first. I didn’t care so much about that but it fell off in less than two hours and I was told to keep it on for three to four days. Britaini was nice enough to give me small pieces to patch it up but the bandage was unsalvageable after an hour. I guess my suggestions are be aware you will spend more money than expected/quoted, bring some entertainment, and maybe your own bandages.

Eric was my tattoo artist and created this dagger for me and I couldn’t have been happier! The shading and detail that was put into this is insane and the time taken to make sure everything was perfect made me extremely happy! 10/10

Everyone Ive met in this shop are great people. They make you feel comfortable and consult with to make sure you getting what you really want or if youre feeling a bit spontaneous they have flash tattoos ready for the taking. The artist there who I have a couple pieces from is Eric and hes an amazing artist and knows how apply the right amount of pressure on the skin. Cant wait to get another one!

My bicep tattoo by Grant is a work of art. He was very extremely efficient and detail oriented throughout the entire process. It was a huge bonus that everyone in the shop was a true delight and you can tell everyone loves being there. He was so creative with his use of colors and it works so well with my other pieces. We went to Red Baron Ink to get tattoos of our Boston Terrier, who had recently passed away. Everyone there was super friendly and very accommodating. Red Baron Ink is the only place I’ll go to get a tattoo! I’ve gotten 4 tattoos there now, and the experience is always positive. The artists are amazing, in particular Joanna Gacek and Daisy. If you are looking for a black and grey tattoo, Joanna is THE BEST! Both my husband and I have photo-realistic portraits of birds and they are incredible. The talent she has for capturing the specific animals we wanted is unreal. I brought in a few pictures of the crow that I work with and Joanna captured her perfectly. It’s not just any crow-it’s my Harriet! Joanna gave great advice on design and placement, and I couldn’t be happier! Daisy recreated a picture from my favorite childhood book perfectly. Her work with color, especially the watercolor style, is awesome. Everyone here is super friendly and puts you at ease. It makes sitting in the chair for a few hours pleasant! I cannot recommend RBI highly enough!!

Best piercing/tattoo shop I’ve been to! Iris was so sweet and created a comfortable environment for me and my friend. Going into the appointment I was unsure of the placement for my ear piercing so Iris helped describe what would work with my ear anatomy and recommended some piercings. I loved my experience here and would definitely recommend anybody goes here for their next piercing!

I had a WONDERFUL tattoo experience at Red Baron. Everyone was super friendly, especially my tattoo artist, Daisy. She met with me a couple weeks before my first appointment to plan out my Turtle tattoo and made a gorgeous design incorporating the mermaid I already had. She was as excited as I was about the tattoo and it was clear she spent a huge amount of time thinking about it and planning it out to make it **perfect**. It was even better than I could have imagined. Daisy also did everything possible to help me feel comfortable during the tattoo. I am so incredibly happy with the result and cannot wait to show it off this summer!!

I had a really great, positive experience at Red Baron getting my fourth tattoo. The place had a really good vibe, friendly atmosphere and I noticed right off the bat how focused all the artists were in their work, yet at the same time very interactive with the patrons. A new design on my inner bicep tattoo by Grant Lubbock.I came to this place after finding it on instagram and following the artists. I loved his work as a mixture of several styles at once: Graphics, Japanese, Aesthetic, Fine Line and Color. Grant Lubbock is honestly the best, super easy to talk to and extremely talented at what he does and delivers the BEST work.Grant is very sweet and patient, he was careful with the placement of the tattoo since it is an awkward spot with the way the bicep shifts naturally. I love the delicate, detailed style (single needle) that he has and he really pays attention to what you want, please look at the photo (peacock tattoo).Grant is getting popular within the tattoo community so better book him fast! Whether you have a very specific piece you want done or youre just interested in getting some art done, Grant works WITH you for a great experience. I highly suggest it- and expect I will be back for more.

I went to Red Baron for a piercing! The shop was clean and very well decorated. I was pierced by Maisie and she was excellent. She explained everything she was doing, step by step, and provided details about aftercare and the specifications of my piercing. I would highly recommend selecting her as your piercer when you book. Minus one star for the sparse options of jewelry on display/available to select, so I hope they get more options in soon!

Ive been to this tattoo shop multiple times for both pericings and tattoos! My most recent tattoo was in October with shamil! Hes amazing! He listens intently to his clinets. He made me feel comfortable and was so gentle, i swear i didnt feel a thing. Plus he is super funny and genuine. He really cares about his work. This is my GO-TO spot for piercings. The staff is so welcoming and helpful and the shop is very clean. Xavier is the absolute best! I have never been tattooed here, only pierced, but after trying 5+ piercing shops in NYC I was so grateful to find Red Baron! The staff is super knowledgeable and professional and immediately put you at ease. Both Xavier and Maisie have been very patient and really take the time to understand your vision. And, they’re not afraid to suggest an alternative if your idea won’t work (they’ve had to do that for me a few times, and their suggestions are always so much better than my original plans). Red Baron has officially ruined all other shops for me!

Most amazing artists and extremely helpful with choosing the right design, font, size, etc. if you’re having trouble deciding. Shamil did 4 fine line hand tattoos and one on my forearm to start my patch work sleeve and I couldn’t be happier with how they came out. Incredible at his craft and almost painless for 5 tattoos in one sitting! Highly recommend and will definitely be back

Fantastic experience. Got my first tattoo here and will be getting my next. Very chilled and welcoming team, really dedicated to getting what you want just how you want it, super on it re explaining how things will go, super careful about hygiene and aftercare plus proper music. Grant, the owner, patently loves what he does and Dave, who did my tatt, an absolute pro. Made it easy. Would defo recommend.

The best experience Ive had being tattooed. I flew in to NY for a few days and Adam was incredibly accommodating to make the timeframe work. I was given a warm welcome before Eric started my tattoo. Though Id given him a reference from a comic book, the end result was somehow better than I anticipated! I laid on my back for five hours after an overnight flight, but Eric and the other artists in the studio made the time fly by. Classic songs playing over the speakers, sing-alongs and plenty of jokes. I had so much fun.Next time Im in the city Ill be booking another session for sure.

It took me over a decade to mentally recover from getting my helix and mid helix done at a sketchy place as a dumb cheap teenager, and recently realized piercings are not supposed to take 2 years to heal :)Went to Red Baron last week and added my new daith and have never had such a professional experience with my piercings! From making sure my anatomy suited the piercing, Xavier deciding to do a curved barbell for healing because of the small space, the clean environment, and down to how calm and collected the piercer stayed even when my ear decided to be a bleeder lol. He was extra happy with his jewelry decision though because trying to get a bead on a CBR in that mess wouldve been so much worse! And even though I bled Ive literally never had a piercing hurt so little. Didnt even hurt getting it done and over a week later still no swelling or pain or anything.Also got the new Buddha stud here for my tragus and Im obsessed with it!

Texted about a piercing before hours and was texted back with a quote and was told I could come by anytime. After signing the paperwork my artists asked me if I wanted to be enclosed because her space is at the front window. Once she was ready to go and I was enclosed, the piercing went off famously. She gave me care instructions and a great sticker to put on my car. She told me that after 6 months if I wanted to change the piercing, she would show me how to do it. Very nice place and very friendly people.

My wife and I visited Red Baron on our NYC honeymoon and both had coordinates tattooed by Dave (booked the appointment well in advance). The price was excellent and Dave’s attention to detail was exceptional. I’ve had a few tattoos before and knew what to expect but it was my wife’s first. Dave was amazing with her and the whole process was extremely fun to be part of! The whole team at Red Baron were very friendly and I couldn’t recommend them more. I got tattooed by Grant and it is by far my favorite tattoo and experience. I gave Grant complete control on the design and I was blown away, all I said was the character I wanted (David from The Lost Boys) and the rest I left in his hands. I was looking for the best script artists, and I came across Matt Kong and was incredibly impressed by his delicate line work. I would have flown across the country for the perfect piece, but thankfully I was only a 3.5hr drive away. When I reached out for a consult, I received a reply within 24 hours, and from that point on shop manager Adam assisted with everything from a distance flawlessly. The day I arrived I found a clean shop with an amazing atmosphere, and icing on the cake - they have incredible jewelry for piercings. Matt Kong was 100% ready with exactly what I had sent over previously. He then took the time to ensure the size and placement were perfect. I left with an absolutely flawless tattoo. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Shamil! This was my first tattoo and I really appreciated Shamil’s efforts to make me feel comfortable and give me some knowledge for the future. I got a tattoo done by Eric and I could not have been happier with the result.I asked for something very specific and even brought my own sketch and Eric took what I gave him and brought it to life.Eric was very professional in making sure the post-managment of the tattoo was done right and also very relaxed when doing the tattoo itself making me feel comfortable.This was my very first tattoo and I know if I ever choose to get another one it will be at Red Baron with Eric!

Eric has done 2 cover ups and a regular tattoo for me (so far). He took his time to actually listen to what I wanted and created the cover ups even better than my expectations. I am soooo pleased with the outcome. He also works fast and has a wonderful personality. I highly recommend Eric.

Great shop, staff, and artists. I was looking for a cover up of a fairly large tattoo on my upper arm and came in to meet with Eric after he did a tattoo for my wife. I worked with him to spitball some ideas on how to handle it and come up with a final design. He recommended packing white ink over it first to skip out on laser removal, which lightened it up enough to get the new design over the old. It took quite a few sessions after that to get all the detail in, but I couldnt be happier with the result. Erics attention to detail was over the top and he was extremely precise with his needle. My only criticism was that the tattoo went a bit over his initial estimates of time/budget, but it was most definitely worth it to get the final result.

I worked with Eric on a tattoo I wanted on my hand. He made the peice 100 times better than what i expected. He was very easy on the needle/tattoo pen as well and kept all his focus on making it perfect. In between breaks he would even offer a water or snack from the store which I thought was very nice of him. Everyone in the shop are super friendly. I cant wait to go back to get more tattoos from eric and even get work done from the other tattoo artists!

Stopped in for my birthday, just to get a small tattoo. Wife came with and got something small as well. Wait was a little long but too bad. The small work we got was perfect, and healed up real nice. I went to Red Baron Ink to get a new cartilage piercing based on a recommendation from a friend. It was pretty far away but figured it was worth traveling to get a nice piercing. SO GLAD I DID! First off, the place is super cute and has really cool artwork inside. There was a ton of jewelry to choose from and separate room specifically for piercings. They have a full time piercer (not just a tattoo artist who does piercings on the side) and she is incredibly friendly. Really makes you feel comfortable and works with you to help you pick out a piercing that would look good on your ear shape (I didnt have a piercing in mind going in). Everything was professionally sterilized and Im so happy with the final product. Really awesome place and worth the money to get a high quality piercing! Im definitely going back to get another soon.

I’ve now had 4 very positive experiences at Red Baron since my first appointment in 2019, and will definitely continue to go back! Two piercings (conch, outer helix) were administered with tons of attention to every step of the process, and I’ve also had a similar level of care during appointments for piercing removal and jewelry change. Xavier does a great job putting you at ease right upon arrival, and continues that high bar of service through every interaction. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

First of all, I need to begin by saying I got my first ever tattoo here yesterday. I stumbled upon the shop using google. I began to look at all of the artists portfolios and decided I needed to have Sam design my piece. I sent an e-mail out and Giselle answered quickly. Giselle was an angel and just as sweet in person as she is through her e-mails. I set up an appointment and went out to the shop to speak to Sam prior to the appointment.I arrived on the day of my appointment early - I was commuting in via trains and did not want to chance being late. Sue was already there, as well as Giselle, Grant, and Max. Every single one of them are down to earth and just generally good people. They want you to be there and they want to talk to you. They even gave me a few suggestions for which artist would be a good match for an idea my friend had in mind.Sam arrived early, so we got started a little early. She showed me her design and we had a quick discussion before she went back to sketching away. Once she was satisfied with the design, we began.I feel its super important to stress JUST how clean they are. Everything from the table to the toolbox to the lamp was wiped down and covered with plastic. This is one of the things you really need to look out for in a shop and I must say that this shop takes pride in every single aspect of their work and its something undoubtedly respectable.We got started and Sam was great. She kept checking in and reassured me that I was doing great (not moving, remembering to breath, etc). Giselle, Grant, Sue, and Max all kept coming over to watch her work. Their comments on how great it was coming out were so reassuring (not that I didnt trust Sam, but because it was my first piece!!!) The piece took about 4 and 1/2 hours with some breaks in-between. Sam did a beautiful piece on my thigh. In fact, it was so good, when i got home later, I cried. It is more than I could have ever imaged. Her line work, her color saturation, and her attention to detail in impeccable. I cannot wait to return there and have any of the artists there work on me.Red Baron team, it was a pleasure from start to finish. I have gone to Red Baron Ink for 4 tattoos now, all done by the wonderful and super talented Mary (Miss Vampira), and each experience has been better than the last.We are currently working on a sleeve, and Mary has done an amazing job working with me to not only work with me on getting everything I want for the tattoo, but also offer other options and alternatives that work better for the entire sleeve. For my first tattoo with her, she suggested a different reference image and a different placement that worked significantly better and looks amazing. And I can tell she has a great vision for the completed sleeve, which keeps me coming back. Mary is a consummate professional and a very talented artist, and I can’t wait to go back again.Everyone from the artists, to the store manager, to the cashiers are extremely nice and helpful, and make the whole process comfortable and enjoyable. The store is super clean, in a very convenient location near a subway stop, and also a super cool space. I have gotten two piercings done here, most recently my nose done by Xavier. I have had a wonderful experience each time I have gone here. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. The staff take time to work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want, and will answer any questions you have. Xavier made my nose piercing a wonderful experience and gave me great advice on after care for the piercing.

My experience here was nothing short of amazing!! After talking to Shamil and telling him what I was looking for (basically my wife and 3 daughters are my sun, moon, and stars) and that I was looking for a way to incorporate that into my Tattoo, he took it from there. I had a rough idea of what I wanted (with a picture) bur Shamil completely took it to another level and exceeded all my expectations plus more. The design, the detail and the coloring were seriously way more than I had hoped for. I would 100% recommend Shamil to anyone thinking of using his services.

I came to Red Baron Ink to have my earlobes re-pierced. Lauren was my piercer.I am well into my 70s, with just a single piercing in each earlobe. Lauren is in her 20s with multiple piercings around her ears and face, and multiple tattoos on the visible parts of her body. You might say we come from different tribes.When I first saw Lauren, I wondered for a moment whether it was a mistake to put myself into her hands. But this first impression was immediately dissipated by her friendly smile, her welcoming manner, and all her questions about my wishes.I asked Lauren for some practical advice, and she made some suggestions based on her experience and training. But overall, her focus was on discovering, and giving me, exactly what I wanted. This wasnt simple, since it took some time for me to figure it out!Patiently and meticulously, she measured, marked, erased, and tried again, to help me find the placement I would be happy with. Clearly she takes pride in giving each person their own self-defined best look -- as different as it may be from her own.The Bottom Line: Laurens professional skill as a piercer shows up in the service of her cheerful interest in and respect for others. I went here for a flash sale a month ago and got a beautiful tattoo from Juan. The shop was very clean and comfortable and all the artists seemed very friendly and were professional. Juan and the other artists looked out for their clients needs and comfort. Today was my first time at Red Baron Ink and my first time getting pierced by Xavier. I was a little nervous but the shop employees were so sweet and accommodating that I could relax as I waited. Adam helped my pick out my jewelry for my piercings and he was super welcoming. The prices for my pieces were affordable and they were gorgeous! My worry probably only came back right when Xavier was going to stab the needle in but truly it wasnt that bad. He absolutely finessed my nose piercing and my tragus piercing and was very informative and communicative during the whole process. I felt super safe and I love how everything came out! I will for sure come again when I get the itch for a new piercing.

I got my nose pierced while on vacation in a different state. It was a good piercing, but the jewelry started to sink and was disappearing into my skin. I called quite a few piercing places while traveling home. I called Red Baron Ink and Adam was great on the phone. He was the reason why I took a chance with them.My piercer was Xavier. He took a look at it and said it was best to take the piercing out and give it time to heal because the angle I had my piercing was not good for what I wanted. He was so calm and informative. He always told me what he was s going to do before he did it and why. I let my piercing heal for about 2 weeks because it was a 2-day fresh piercing. When I went back, Adam helped me pick out my jewelry and Xavier was again telling what he was going to do and why he was doing it. He helped me to be very calm. He was very gentle and caring in how he handled my situation since I had a concern about the piercing sinking again. Its been almost a month since I got repierced and it is healing wonderfully. I definitely would recommend this place. Xavier was awesome.

I have been wanting an industrial piercing for years! A group Im in ,related to all types of piercings actually recommended me to look on the APP (Association of Professional Piercers) site. I came across Red Baron with their beautiful ratings and reviews. I said let me book and just stop being a punk😂. My piercer was Xavier. He was nothing short of amazing and professional. He introduced himself, measured, showed, and explained to me the type of jewelry he would be using, and showed me some other jews to choose from. After, he went to prep and double clean everything. When it was my turn he made convo with me, continued to explain everything, and made sure I was comfterble. He made sure my markings and fit was perfect and made sure I was satisfied also. He does not rush at all, hes a perfectionist! Overall, I was panicking for nothing lol, I did my breathwork as told and it was over. He showed me exactly how i should clean it and sent over aftercare instructions and gave me his business card to contact anytime if I had any questions.I LOVEEE my piercing🥹 and I will be back to visit soon X !

I had Delvirus for my first two tattoos! Eric created my perfect pieces. He was very communicative and was able to take what was in my minds eye and put it to ink. He even made adjustments as I wanted during the appointment. His attention to detail is impeccable. Had the best experience getting pierced by Xavier! Such a kind person with a very gentle hand - and generally just a really fun and dope experience! He explained the piercing process and aftercare with careful detail, was very patient, made sure I was super comfortable, and gave me a really sick piercing that Ive been wanting for a while! The shop is clean and well-kept. Xavier did my septum piercing and I couldnt be more pleased. He was patient, knowledgeable, and ensured it was perfect, even with my slight deviation. They are awesome folks!

Such an awesome experience! I love the studio, feels like a real, classic tattoo shop. As soon as I walked in the vibes were high and everyone was super friendly. I had a consultation and an appointment scheduled within a month. I got three tattoos in my session, everything went smoothly and looked awesome. As icing on the cake, Alex took some stunning photos of all three of my pieces, I was so excited to have professional images coming out of this!

While on my vacation in New York, I decided to get my tongue piercing at this studio. My girlfriend and I were received very friendly and well advised. I enjoyed my first visit and am looking forward to my next appointment. From start to finish I was made to feel comfortable felt safe and at ease. Every employee greeted me with a smile and welcomed me with open arms. My piercer Liz was very gentle warm and kind. She made sure I was ready for each piercing and that I was not afraid or in pain. She made the experience oddly relaxing and quick. After I was given before and aftercare instructions I had a consult with grant who was also quite friendly and patient. We spoke briefly about my tattoo plans and felt he was very knowledgeable based on our discussion. I look forward to working with him and others in that facility. The shop is clean neatly organized and professional. I arrived earlier than my scheduled appointment time and had very little to no wait time. The location is convenient as well in terms of commute. So that’s also a plus. They are also wonderful at communication. And great at following up with clients via phone or email. I’m happy I found this spot.

Went in to get my septum repierced and I chose Xavier to do the correct placement. He was SUPER knowledgeable, patient , took his time to make sure the pierced was properly placed this time and he even set the atmosphere by playing Jazz (my favorite). Most of all he made me feel very comfortable. Once my septum fully heals I plan to go back and let him put in a new piece of blinged out jewelry in 🥰🥰🥰

I got a small tattoo to remind me of a difficult time in my life. It was some simple text.The atmosphere of the shop was so welcoming and chill that it really put a nervous first timer like me at ease.And my artist, Mary (who goes by Miss Vampira), was so awesome and helped tweak my design so that it would be the most effective. It was a quick and simple task and if I decide to get a second one, I definitely know where and who im going to!

I found RBI in google, checked out the website and decided to get an appointment so I email and got a response back within 24 hours. I was impressed because I did sent out more than a couple of inquiries out there but none of them replied. I came in the store and it looks clean and organized. The staff are very nice and friendly. After 20 years of ambivalence, I finally got my first tattoo with Daisy. She is such as amazing artist because she truly captured the image that I like (Lotus flower). Aside from being a master of her craft, she is very warm and caring. I get a lot of compliments and asked if it a tattoo or a sticker :) Thanks so much Daisy for an awesome 1st tat experience. My daughter wanted to get her ears pierced, and I was looking around for reputable piercers who would pierce her with a needle rather than a gun or cassette. I decided to go in and get a nostril piercing to feel the place out, and Im so glad I did! First of all, the staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and really laid back...youll get zero judgements here. Second, the place is extremely clean and has a dedicated room for piercings only. They will autoclave your jewelry right before you get pierced. Third, they have a really nice selection of jewelry running the range from implant grade titanium to 14 karat gold; Youll have no problem finding something you love within your price range here, and theyre pretty up front about cost, so you can definitely stay within your budget if you just ask.My piercer, Xavier, was always calm, collected, and offered very clear and helpful feedback regarding jewelry selection, placement, and walking me through the process. The piercing itself was quick and almost painless, and his suggested aftercare is more or less in line with the recommendations published by the Association of Professional Piercers on their website. So far, my piercing is healing beautifully with no complications whatsoever.There isnt a lot on Red Barons reviews that reflect the piercing experience, so Ill admit I was a bit wary going in, but after my experience here, I definitely have no issue bringing my daughter here because I know they will take care of her, and she will have a great experience.

This place is superior for tattoos. I had a complex and a bit zany idea for a full sleeve. I made an appointment with Grant, after reviewing the design we both agreed that another artist would be better matched for my vision. Can you believe it? An artist that is okay with passing on a job because they understood their style. I love this place. I had my first session with Eric, I was a bit worried that my idea was out of the spectrum but I almost cried happy tears when I saw his design, it was PERFECT! I have two more sessions but I know the final product is going to be epic and last through my crazy life.The email system for booking sessions is extremely responsive. The scheduling is good for post-COVID times. Very clean. They are reasonably priced-although you should never base your tattoo artist off of price, that is ink on your forever! The owner Grant is very personable and accessible. I like this place so much my significant other just booked their next appointment in October!

Nearly a year ago after the passing of my brother from cancer, I decided to do something that was beyond comprehension - get a tattoo!The artist I selected was my amazing daughter Mary. We are ☘️ Irish so we decided a 3 leaf clover ( representing my 3 children ) and Celtic Infinity Knots inserted within each clover would be perfect ( we are also Catholic )!Mary’s design was absolutely incredible, the process took under 2 hours and the final product is outstanding!I highly recommend Mary for her creativity, professionalism and outgoing personality!

He first makes a mark where the piercing will be and then asks if you want to change it or if you like that placement. The process is painless and he always make you feel comfortable. Came here for some nose jewelry and opted to put it in myself since Ive had that piercing for a while and often change my jewelry. Unfortunately the rod I was sized for was too small, which isnt as big of an issue since I opted out of the extra help. I came back to the shop the next day and the piercer wasnt there, so I was told to come back the next day and that hed be there from 12-6.I came back the next day right at 5 and asked for the piercer and was told he was booked for the rest of the day. I explained that Id just buy a longer rod since that was the issue and the receptionist wouldnt let me purchase it without the piercers help. I told him I came three days in a row and only needed a replacement, and I was told to come back again the next day and make an appointment.What felt weird is that the piercer was sitting right there during this conversation and I felt like I was being a burden. I also wasnt aware that I should make an appointment to even buy a new rod until my third visit and it left a bad taste. I came around the same time on the very first day to come buy the jewelry with no problem. The young lady who helped me the first day was wonderful though.

Red Baron Ink is easily the best shop I have been to. All of the artists and employees are super friendly and helpful. Whether it is your first tattoo or millionth, they welcome you just the same. It is an all-around awesome atmosphere- great music, lots of laughs and most importantly, clean!!This is my second time working with Grant and I cannot wait to work with him again. Five or six years ago, he did an incredible lion on my forearm that has held up beautifully. People stop me often to admire and inquire about the artist.Recently, Grant reworked a fairly large 15-year-old tattoo on my upper arm that was in desperate need of help. He did a phenomenal job of fixing all of the lines and shading and was thoughtful in his selection of colors. This went from my least favorite tattoo that I tried to cover as often as possible, to my new favorite that I am so proud to wear!I cannot thank Grant and the RBI team enough!

He explained everything in the process, and helped me feel very relaxed the entire time I was there. I even really enjoyed it, and it was not painful at all.I really like the tattoo I got - a small sea turtle on my ankle! Also they explained in depth what I need to do for aftercare, which I also like very much. They were very professional.All in all, I highly recommend this shop, and Shamil as the artist!

Got a 3rd ear piercing here from Liz! Came in on a promo day and got a great deal on piercing and jewelry. Great selection of beautiful jewelry. Shop was super clean and legit, it was a busy day but was still in and out within a v reasonable time. Liz was AMAZING, very kind and professional. Piercing was fast and sterile. I appreciated that they have saline spray up front as well!

I had my first tattoo ever and I was very nervous. Mary was super nice as well as the rest of the crew at Red Baron. We wound up talking so much that I didnt even notice when the tattoo was over. I totally recommend this parlor. Its very clean. The only negative is that the seats in the waiting area are very uncomfortable. Other than that I recommend you get your tattoo services there!

Remember: You get what you pay for! I am definitely willing to shell out extra cash for the excellent service that RBI provides and supporting their amazing studio (I’ve gotten $40 piercings done in the past, they were’t terrible but the experiences were not exactly stellar). I got my septum done by Liz in July and she is amazing! She helped me feel at ease and made sure to walk me through all steps of the piercing process as well as answer any questions I happened to have. The studio and workspace are all very clean, not to mention they were very good at keeping everything sanitized and adhering to COVID regulations. Definitely would return in the future for some more piercings or tattoos!

I got two tattoos from Grant Lubbock, one of which is not pictured because it is hard to take a picture of it by myself.I would rate my experience at Red Baron Ink a 10/10. Grant was very respectful (which I appreciate as a woman), he had good conversation and hella good ink. I love the tattoos I got from him and am happy to wear them out and about. I get a lot of compliments on them, and people are always asking where I got them done. I have not gotten tattoos from any other artist here, but from what I have seen, their work is also amazing. Super welcoming environment and amazing artists. I luckily had the pleasure of working with Joanna who designed a beautiful portrait of Frankenstein’s monster- a piece I have been wanting for years. Had a great experience with my first tattoo at RBI. My artist was Dave (@ganjatattoos on IG) and I cant recommend him or his work enough. His work is insanely clean and is healing beautifully - plus he was fun to talk to! Really talented shop with great people!

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.Lauren pierced both of my ear lobes, she was amazing, patient, friendly and she kept me informed of how to use the earrings and kept on telling me what she was doing to make the process comfortable and less stressful. She also explained how to clean it until it heals.You were amazing...

Red Baron Ink was recommended to me by friends to have my first tattoos done, however I didn’t know what my own personal experience would be like until I visited the shop myself. It was absolutely amazing! Starting with the customer service, which was exceptionally friendly & welcoming. Gear, the guy who runs the front of the house was transparent regarding rates, assured me that no question was silly & encouraged me to ask whatever questions I needed to ask to feel comfortable & he was not the least bit condescending or intimidating. The artist, Josh who did two tattoos for me, listened to what I wanted, enriched it & made it better then even I had envisioned it could be. He heard me when I expressed the sentimental reason connected to one of the two tattoos I chose to be my first tattoo & totally captured it’s essence. The lines are crisp & clean, the definition superb. Finally, the shop is in pristine condition & all the artists work areas are kept sanitized & well organized. I had the pleasure of getting tattoo’d by Joanna and I will definitely return! This was my first time at the shop itself, and it had a great atmosphere! Super clean, and everyone was friendly. Joanna herself was so sweet and so goddam talented!! She brought my vision to life, and it was literally perfect. I recommend this spot to everyone. You can tell it is filled with professionals who take their work very seriously. I wanted to get a simple compass, with my families initials and their birth month flowers surrounding it and Joanna delivered!!

My experience at RBI was great from start to finish… from booking my appointment to the follow up email I received after my tattoo.Shamil was great! He made me feel really comfortable before and during my tattoo and took his time explaining all of the aftercare.If I’m in NYC again and want a tattoo i’ll definitely be coming here!

The owner and artists at Red Baron are rad! Went on a large family trip to New York for the first time, and these guys fit 3 of us in during our short stay. We love our new ink x 3!!! The shop was really clean, comfortable, and nice to hangout in. Good vibes from Red Baron. Will go back next time in New York! I was eyeing the piercing jewelery as well. My step brother and I had Mary. She was really sweet!
