Awesome service! I got a rook piercing here after much deliberation about where I should go. Being from out of town, I was nervous to find a place I could trust, and I’m so glad I landed here! Spencer and his wife were extremely helpful both over the phone and via their instagram. He was extremely professional and kind during the piercing process.I was not very confident that my anatomy would fit a Rook, but I got it and it was a very painless process! I highly recommend, would go back again

I’ve been going to Spencer for tattoos for the last few years and was so thrilled when he opened New York Tattoo Collective. It’s a safe, welcoming space and everyone who works there is truly a delight. The shop is clean, the line work on the ink incredible, and the vibes spot on.I’ve been inked here four times in the last year and can only rave about my experience. Super nice and friendly staff! They were so gentle with my nose piercing and didn’t charge me anything to get it removed/switched out if I brought my own replacement. Jewelry is also very affordable. This will be my new go-to for all things piercings.

Beyond impressed by the skill and professionalism at this shop. Myself and a friend walked in for a piercing and a few tattoos. They were able to accommodate us, even though my tattoo ended up taking almost 3 hours. It came out phenomenal, Im very pleased. Always a roll of the dice to walk in and get something permanent on your body, but this place did not disappoint. They have so many good reviews for a reason. HIGHLY recommend!

LOVE THIS SHOP SO MUCH! I have worked around the corner from this gem for almost 3 years. I finally went in with my best friend who was in town for her birthday and being the spontaneous girls that we are we had to get matching friendship tattoos. The owner Spencer was so kind and welcoming and the artists Jo and Emmy inked up my girl and I to perfection! I also got some cute new ear piercings thanks to Jo. This shop not only welcomed us with open arms and had fun with us they made our night so special. They are professional, kind, open minded and incredibly talented. 10/10 ! 3 gold stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ I will definitely be going back to my favorite tattoo shop in NYC!

Wowowow. Spencer & Jo THANK YOU!!!!! I stumbled upon NY tattoo collective while down in east village & it’s like it was a sign that I found this place! From the second I walked in I felt so excited. The space is clean, bright, and everyone is SO NICE. Jo (my ANGEL) helped me out and accommodated my walk in and did an INCREDIBLE job. She helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and was so patient while we worked out the official design. She had to hand trace the stencil and put so much work into my tattoo it felt so special. Everyone that passed through the shop throughout the day was so kind and it was truly such an incredible experience. I was already thinking about my next piece while I was lying on the table LOL. OG Review 12/2022:I have been to many shops, and this by far is my favorite one! They make you feel comfortable and welcomed as soon as you walk in. I came to Spencer with a rough idea of what I wanted, and not only did he absolutely deliver, but he actually hand-drew the design on me to make sure it was perfect. The attention to detail was exactly what I needed to feel comfortable with my half sleeve. Everyone is so friendly and talented, you honestly can’t go wrong with any of the artists here. 1000000/10 recommend.Update 9/2024:Still as incredible as ever! This time I came to Spencer wanting to cover up a piece that I’d had for 15 years. Again, I had a rough idea of what I wanted, and he took my vision and brought it to life in a way I could never have imagined. What was a random Google search for a tattoo/piercing shop turned into such a fun adventure for myself and my friends today. I was hunting for a place to do a piercing, and upon seeing the positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. And what a DELIGHTFUL experience. Before anything else, I walked in and found a very clean facility that smelled of disinfectant, which is precisely what one wants from a tattoo/piercing place. My piercer today was Spencer, who walked me through exactly what to expect, the gauge of the stud, aftercare, how long before I can change the stud, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a truly soothing vibe/tone of voice, which is helpful for when one is getting pierced, as nerves can act up sometimes. After marking where it would be and making sure I liked the placement, Spencer made sure I was calm, breathing normally, and physically appeared relaxed before he actually did the piercing. He was quick, efficient, and precise. Couldnt recommend this place enough!!

I cant believe its taken me over a year to share my experience (I’m sorryyy), but I cant stop thinking about this place. My tattoo healed flawlessly, looking just as incredible as it did when I left the studio. I came here to get my tragus removed purely because it was the closest piercing place within walking distance, and wow I did not expect to actually really like this place!! The owner, Spencer, was very kind and efficiently removed my piercing for free. The shop felt very welcoming even though I was only there for a short time. I got my nostrils pierced here and had a nice experience. The place is very clean and calming and the staff is very welcoming. I got pierced by Spencer and he was extremely patient with me since I was really freaking out before, during and after I got my nostrils done. He made sure he was quick and let me stay in his chair until I was completely calm again. Will definitely be coming back if I decide to get pierced again.

The best and easiest piercing experience ever! I came in as a walk in and was seen right away. I knew I wanted a rook piercing and possibly another cartilage piercing. Spencer drew multiple placement options so I could choose the perfect spot for the cartilage piercing if I decided to go for it. The rook was easy breezy so I went with the second piercing as well. Ive been going to Spencer for years for my tattoos. I was so excited when he opened up his shop and Im proud to say I was one of the first few appointments after the opening. Ive come to him for a few memorial tattoos and other pieces. This time me and my husband got matching pokeballs and he did an amazing job! Hes super easy going and extremely talented. He always brings my ideas to life and better than imagined. When hes tattooing he truly cares about his clients. Im never in pain when he works on me and I love that about it. I wanted to do something spontaneous in the city and I stumbled upon this shop while in the East Village and I thought, “maybe I should get a piercing”. Spencer did my helix piercing and he was informative, kind, and gentle. He made sure all my questions were answered before he did the piercing. The shop was clean and the vibes were immaculate. 10/10 would come here again!

So I started going to this spot this year and I have no regrets. The staff is so nice and amazing at what they do. I’ve been too, two of their flash events and it’s always been chill vibes and great tattoos. I’ve been tattooed by Cypress and Spencer. Both these guys have shown true professionalism and patience, any questions I had they answered in detail and even give you their business card if I had any more questions. Overall if you from any of the boroughs this place is worth the trip.

I came in through a referral from a friend everyone was super nice & welcoming. It’s a clean place & an intimate setting to get to know your artist & get a design you would like. After all it is permanent. I got paired up with Rocky. My 1st time getting tattooed by a woman & I was super excited. My facial expression may have said otherwise but I’m my head I was screaming with joy. She is so sweet & really helpful with my semi mid life crisis tramp stamp. She was incredibly gentle & let me get my nervous laughs along the way. I will definitely be returning & referring other people as well.

I haven’t gotten a tattoo here, but Spencer was a lifesaver when I had a hair salon mishap involving a comb and my cartilage piercing ring. I was pretty freaked out and in some pain, and Spencer was the best calming presence I could’ve asked for in that moment. He took out the ring, cleaned it and the piercing hole, and put the jewelry back in for me. I was in and out in 5 minutes and I felt sooo much better! I will definitely be returning here if I want another piercing or a tattoo and would recommend checking this place out based on Spencer’s vibes alone.

I got my snake bites done here a week ago and it was a great experience. I forgot the name of the person who pierced me but they were really nice, took the time to make sure the placement looked right and that I liked the placement. Checked in with me while doing the piercing making sure I was alright. Overall really good experience, very chill place, definitely going back for the rest of the piercings I want to get.

This is my new favorite NYC tattoo place!!! Everyone there is so kind and thoughtful and works hard to make sure you feel comfortable and welcome in the space. My artist (spencer) gave me the most beautiful design that I didn’t even know was possible with the image I brought in, his expertise in Fine Line work is unmatched!!! The place is clean, well-designed, and well taken care of. They even did the coolest thing ever by covering up an old lip tattoo which if you’ve ever tried to do you know, most artist would literally laugh in your face. But these guys totally hooked it up and I couldn’t be happier with everything I got. Great conversation too, it feels so awkward when you’re getting a tattoo and the artist has zero chat, but this was nothing like that. I was smiling the whole time, and he was really gentle!!! Gave solid aftercare instructions too. Honestly love this place and can’t be more grateful to live near such a dope artist collective!!! 10/10 I’ll be back.

The best tattoo experience Ive ever had (my 6th and 7th tattoos).I came into the shop hoping for a walk in booking and Sam was super helpful letting me know that both artists in the shop were currently busy but saying I could hang out and chat while I waited or he could take my number and call when they were nearly done. I chose the latter as I visited from the UK and had a bit of tourism to do.When I came back the consent form was easy to fill out and I was promptly met by Spencer who was my requested artist as I wanted a lightsaber that Id seen on their Instagram that hed done an incredible job designing for someone else. Cypress, Sam and Spencer all provided great chat during the experience. Bonus points for the massive attack and slowthai soundtrack too.I felt very well looked after and that all of the decisions regarding the tattoo were mine (which certainly isnt always the case). Spencer made the great decision to add white to my lightsaber to make it pop out and give it more of a 3d sense.I cant recommend enough, a wonderful shop with a wonderful team.

I came in for a last-minute opening with Cypress. I got one of his flash designs tattooed and it came out beautifully. The shop is very welcoming, hygienic, and friendly. Cypress is awesome and a very talented and attentive artist. I highly recommend this shop and its artists for any tattoo.

Incredible experience from start to finish! If youre interested in achieving all of your ear piercing dreams, look no further than New York Tattoo Collective! I came here to have some cartilage piercings performed by Spencer, who is literally an ear piercing genius lol. Booking my appointment was easy and straightforward and Spencer was able to accommodate me and my schedule to get in and out quickly. He was also able to work with me on my vision for how I wanted my piercings to lay on my ear, based on pictures I showed him and my own unique ear anatomy (pretty cool stuff ahah). He is super understanding and patient if youre unsure as to the placement (dont worry, hell mark your ear and make sure youre 100% positive on it before piercing you). The piercings themselves were not really painful for me, but of course this depends on your pain tolerance, piercing location, etc.The actual space is adorable, with a very home-y down-to-earth vibe.Everyone was super welcoming and friendly which made for a very relaxing experience (which is pretty important when youre getting stuck with a needle lol). Spencer is meticulously clean and makes sure to show you the equipment he is using before he pierces you, to put your mind at ease.So far the healing process has been super quick and painless (unlike some other places where Ive gone and my ear is still sore years later). Although its only been a couple weeks since getting pierced, Im already ready for more! And I know that when I return, Ill be in excellent hands!

Although I have been getting tattooed by the shops owner Spencer for several years now, Im always amazed by how talented, kind and down to Earth he is. I found my forever spot. The owner, Spencer, is super sweet and knows his sh*t! And Rocky is sooo talented!! She made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Having had dozens of peircings years ago as a piercing model, I know a good peircer/shop when I find one. Spencer re-did my septum which was originally crooked. He was kind, knowledgable and made me and my party feel very comfortable. The staff and shop was extreemely clean, organized and very accomidating.Happy to have found my new spot. Highly recomend to anyone!

I got my first tattoo at New York Tattoo Collective last week and I have to say it was a superb experience start to finish. The fabulous Rocky was my artist, and she is professional, welcoming, caring and so SO talented. Scheduling was a breeze and she took my idea and drew up exactly what I imagined and more. The shop was spotless and every artist/staff member was so friendly and helpful. During my tattoo, Rocky checked in with me several times and ensured I was comfortable and to top it all off, gave me a goodie bag with aftercare instructions, sweets, chapstick, other artist/technicians biz cards and ointment. This was a 10/10 experience across the board with so much attention to detail and I can’t wait to come back for my next tattoo! Thank you Rocky!!!!!

I’ve gotten two tattoos and a piercing at New York Tattoo Collective. The hospitality and professionalism was absolutely unreal. Such a clean environment as well. Also as a queer non-binary individual I felt extremely safe and seen. Looking forward to getting more pieces done at this shop very soon.

Really glad I found these guys. A clean and comfortable studio with a relaxed atmosphere. A great team of friendly artists ready to take your ideas and make sure you leave with something special. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely be sure to book in again next time Im in NYC.

This was such a smooth and well operated Friday the 13th event! I’ve been wanting to come for some bigger pieces, but I’m so happy with this as my first experience. Such dope and unique designs, compared to the usual flash for Friday the 13th. Kalani did such a great job with both tattoos and I felt so comfortable with her! You can tell this place is a safe space for all kind of people. They deserve all the success they’ve been having so far, and SO much more!!! I can’t wait to come back and spend more time with the artists :)
