Had a great experience here getting my nose pierced. I have a tendency to faint and they were very nice and unfazed about that. They gave me candy before and after. Very professional, calm, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Went in there wanting a cartilage piercing, and got one i like it, but The owner gives me very strange vibes, and The piercer (that I met) is super uptight and just all in all odd, which set a weird vibe to the shop… but other than that my piercing is healing pretty okay, and their jewelry looks pretty dope!Went back there to get a different septum ring and piercer didn’t even let me not like it once he put it on. Told me I just needed to get used to it and shut me down. The ball of the septum fell 10 min into me walking back home. Another thing is the shop is male dominated, I didn’t see one woman working there, and that is a huge red flag seeing as an huge percentage of your clientele are women/ young girls. And I think it speaks volumes about the owner.

Lovely shop. They accepted me as a walk-in for two small tattoos - a third eye & NYC lettering. Chris Crowder was amazing! He is so professional, kind and gentle. He listened to my ideas and tailored the tattoos to fit my already busy arm. I felt very comfortable with him, which is so important. I will be back. Highly recommend! :)

I would give more stars if I could, legit. Went and got replacements for septum and flat piercing; my partner got her first piercing on her nose. The vibe and treatment is A1, also clean. Will def recommend to family and friends.

At age 54, I got my first tattoo, as did my sister (70). Chris Crowder could not have been better. He made us feel completely comfortable, made sure we got exactly what we wanted, and explained the process thoroughly. My daughter was getting her fourth tattoo, so she was the expert in our group. Chris did a fantastic job on all three and it was a wonderful experience. Very professional and clean. Cant recommend highly enough.

I was visiting New York and wanted a tattoo (June 24) I’d planned having one since January and I discovered Village Tattoos. Chris made me feel really at ease, it was my first tattoo and I’m in my 60’s lol, it didn’t hurt at all, it felt like a little nibbling going on. And now back in the UK I can tell everyone who asked, “ yeah I had it done in New York”! How about that then 🙂

I came in to do a simple few shapes on my arm.The artist HIMSELF suggested to make the shading gradient.. One week later there are no gradience whatsoever in my tattoo. One shape is way too light and two are completely the same.. Why suggest something if you do not know how to execute it.. Find another tattoo shop.

Mooshu was so kind a welcoming, and made sure that my piercing was in a safe spot, and looked good. Extremely knowledgeable and careful!!

I came here for a piercing- professional staff, very genuine and friendly. They’re conveniently located in the heart of the village so it’s a great place to visit and grab a bite or walk around afterwards.

Horrible space, rude old man that works after hours, ( icame in like 9~10 Noo hospitality.... no costumer service, just expects yu to walk in with everything figured out, um sorry Ive walked into places WAY better then this spot Especially being in this area I expected better ... was always on my list since I work near by but ... definitely discuss qith my experience here ant will not return and I hope no one sees does after this !!!!! 💢💯💪🏻

I went there on 07/11/2024 for a tattoo. It’s not a big tattoo but none the less I freaking love it. When you enter the shop your very welcomed in. Friendly people and assist you with what you want. Highly recommandable. Greetings from Belgium

Went to get a small hand tattoo. I was advised not to, but I told them I know the details of the risks (they tend to fade when the client does not take care of them). My artist was James. Very kind and very reassuring artist. His work is absolutely amazing. I look forward to coming back for more work.

The artists here are super talented and friendly. Always listening to you and making sure you get a quality product. I just got tattooed here for the second time, and Im sure it will continue to be my go-to.They are also a very clean and hygienic establishment. They are carefully following all Covid guidelines.Jimmy English is my go to artist. Consider checking him out and asking for him to be your artist.

I have gotten a tattoo done with Jimmy and it’s the best one I have. His work is so clean & healed perfectly & looks the same a year later as it did in the shop. I’ve also gotten my nipples pierced by Mooshu and he was THE BEST piercer I’ve ever had. He is so kind and respectful. He made me feel incredibly safe as well as calm. (Ps he’s such a great piercer I barely felt a thing for either nipple pierce with barbell). I recommend Village Tattoo to anyone and everyone I meet who’s looking for a great tattoo or piercing. So happy to now live in NYC and be able commute to them for any and all new pieces :))

These guys in here are absolutely awesome. The tattoos are great, 4 really simple matching tattoos. What set these guys apart is the personal attention. Not only did they stay open for us to get all the way to their shop from Far Rockaway but helped me and my family sneak rather large statues to my car with my future wife being none the wiser. The ink was great and fair priced, the statues are amazing, the staff was more amazing, we are all very pleased. Definitely a great place to get ink!!!

This place is really amazing. I got my nose pierced here and had to go back 4 months later because I didn’t realize it would close up after a few hours with no piercing in. They were super nice and helped me right away to get it repierced, which they definitely did not have to do! They’re also super sanitary and gentle

Came here for my second small tattoo and it was wonderful. The staff is very friendly. The price of the tattoo was reasonable and it perfect. My tattoo artist is Leo and he was great. He wanted it to be as perfect as possible. Im definitely coming here again for future tattoos.

Love the whole staff!! You are in good hands whether you are getting a tattoo or piercing. My go-to place for both. They treat you like family and make you feel at ease always. I always ask for Jimmy to get my tattoos and Mushu to get my piercings. Dont forget to take your ID when doing either. They will ask for it . I would definitely recommend you go if you are thinking of getting either a tattoo or piercing.They aldo have a great selection of jewelry. You wont regret it!!

Chris was my tattoo artist. Cool person and cool people as well. I originally left a rave review. However 3 months later and my flower tattoos are already fading. Along with my Africa tattoo. I am extremely disappointed as I moisture and take care of my tattoos. When I learned they didn’t do hand tattoos or such, it drew my suspicions as to whether the ink quality is low. It appears I was correct. I stopped going after learning that. My mother tat, who got a small name tattoo here, is already starting to fade as well. In just 1/2 months after having it done. This is a bit shocking and disappointing as I swore by them. It was my first tattoos and so I was new to the process.

Had the loveliest experience here for a quick piercing! Clean, kind, what more can you ask.

Visited from Denver for my honeymoon. Have followed Hamilton (the play) religiously, read the book and listen to the soundtrack nearly everyday. Decided to commemorate with a tattoo. Chris did an AMAZING job and made me exactly what I wanted. Cannot say enough good things about this shop!

So I did something super crazy and decided to get both my nipples pierced ! I saw really great reviews about this place and decided to come here for the piercing. The cons would be the interior is small and there are steep stairs to go down for the service but overall my experience was very pleasant! The guy who pierced me was super funny and chill and didn’t give off any creepy vibes the entire time which I greatly appreciated. Everything was sterile and clean and he used one use needles. Each nipple was $55 because I got titanium jewelry but if you get steel it’s $45. I highly recommend this place because they care about the customer and are attentive to your wants and needs, they explain very thoroughly how to care for your piercing after and provide the cleaning products for a fee if you want to buy from them. I’m definitely coming back for any other piercings I want done !

This is probably the only place in the city I will ever get piercings from now on, and the only place I tell people to go get pierced. Ive gotten pierced here multiple times by both Dez and Mooshu. Theyre both so great, always make me feel comfortable, always so clean and sure to tell you exactly whats going on. The front desk staff are super chill. They always make sure to thoroughly explain after care. Prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, not intimidating as some other places tend to be.

I had a top notch experience at Village Tattoo! Everyone was very friendly and professional. The piercer showed me exactly where the piercing would be on my earlobes and was very professional. I also got a tattoo. I brought in my own design, it was fairly simple and the tattoo artist made it a perfect tattoo! We discussed placement and orientation and I felt like they really understood how important it was to get it right, it’s permanent after all! It was a really great experience!

Happened to meet Chris (one of the artists) and Mark (the shop owner) as a walk in two years ago and it was a match made in heaven. The shop is so accommodating with my crazy schedule and my needle phobia and I am so honored to say Chris has become a trusted friend through this process. He is always open to discuss art and collaborate on visions, and offers really great suggestions when I have questions about placement, style, or how things will age. Great customer service from the manager Mark and piercer Daz. However, the jewelries and piercings they sell are with poor quality. I had to go back and re-pierce my ears (two different piercings in different locations) 3 separate occassions because the piercings sold from their store kept on falling off.

This was 100% the best piercing experience I’ve ever had. First off everyone was so nice ! They lady up front & owner were extremely helpful and kind. My piercer Mooshu was a10/10. I came with my friend to get my nipples pierced and I was terrified. He had so much patience,and pierced them perfectly. The pain was a 3/10..wayyyy less than I expected. My friend and my sister already told me they want to come to him for any piercings. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a tattoo done by Chris and a rook piercing by Dez -- I went here with my good friend who had only good things to say about the shop because I was unhappy with the last shop I went to. Not only am I over the moon with the results, but everyone there is wonderful. The customer service by all was excellent, and my piercing is healing very very smoothly. Had an amazing experience getting tattooed at Village Tattoo! Everyone working there is so lovely and I cannot recommend it more. Mark and Michelle were super friendly and warm while I was waiting for my appointment. The parlour is clean and the prices are very reasonable. Chris, my tattooer, was so patient and helpful -- he did not rush me to make a decision at all (I was slightly undecided about the placement of my tattoo). He also has a super calm demeanour which made me feel at ease and was also very gentle and efficient. He did a great job with my line tattoo and I am very pleased. Randomly found, last minute booking but I couldn’t be more happy!! My tattoo artist was very helpful I can say he knows his craft well! We got matching tattoos with my friend and we left satisfied!I also got my nose pierced and I barely felt any pain! Highly recommended place!

I got a cartilage piercing here a few months ago, and had a great experience. The staff is very kind and informative, and the shop felt very clean. Aside from the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff, another selling point of this location is the very affordable prices. It is worth noting, though, that these prices correspond with jewelry options that might not be as nice as other places that are much pricier. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a piercing on a budget but doesnt want to make any compromises when it comes to safety.

I got my belly button pierced here recently, and I couldnt recommend the experience more. The piercers were incredible confident, comfortable, and competent, and made the process seem easy. The price was great for the service as well. I am definitely coming back!

I’ve been tatted by both Chris and Jimmy and I can say they are two of the best artists I’ve ever had tattoo me. The whole staff is amazing and so sweet. They really make you feel comfortable and are so patient with reapplying the stencil as many times you want. You gotta go here.

Get pierced here by Mooshu!The staff created a great environment and experience. It’s all the little details that turn a walk in into a long time customer. They were: welcoming, polite, kind, professional, sterile, funny, and thorough!I came in with my mom was immediately greeted by a lady at the front desk who was welcoming and professional. They were able to take me as a walk in for a Rook piercing. I was given paperwork to sign that was clear and pricing was also explained. I opted for a Titanium piece with a stone. It came to roughly $60 including tax. Within minutes Mooshu was ready and guided my mom and I back. Mooshu was kind and kept us laughing the whole time. He answered all of my questions. He explained every piece of equipment on the table and its sterilization. The piercing itself was quick. The pain was mild, and Mooshu warned me every time I may feel discomfort. He was thorough and made sure I was happy with the result. If I’m in NY again, I will gladly return.

I have had gotten pierced twice at Village Tattoo, most recently I had my septum pierced by Yolanda. I had a great experience the first time I had gotten a piercing here, and my last experience was just as great. I came in without an appointment, and there was no wait. I was on crutches, and all of the staff was very kind and helpful. They made sure I was safely up and down the stairs, and gave me a place to sit while I received my aftercare instructions and paid. I also had a friend with me, and he was able to sit comfortably downstairs with me while I got my piercing. Yolanda was so kind. She walked me through every step of the piercing, made sure to show me all of the tools that would be used, made sure to show me that they were sterilized and new, and on top of that she was lovely to talk to. I was given clear and easy to follow aftercare instructions, and was given the option to purchase aftercare products when I checked out. I will certainly be back for another piercing, and have recommended the shop to several of my friends. If you are looking for a great place to get pierced, and for a great price, look no further.

Amazing experience. I had booked an appointment here for myself and friend to get tattoos together- we both flew in and went straight there. I booked off the back of the fantastic reviews and they didn’t disappoint. My friend had Chris and I had Jimmy. Both extremely talented, professional, friendly and lovely guys. Mark who owns or runs the shop was also great. The skill and artistry was amazing- especially the colour work done by Chris and the shading by Jimmy. 10/10

I recently traveled to NYC and while I was there I got my first tattoo done by Chris Crowder. I truly would travel all the way to NY just to be tattooed by him again. His work is absolutely insane and he is so incredibly genuine. I would recommend him and his work to anyone who asks. He also made me feel super comfortable the whole time which I think is very important especially getting my first tattoo. I love this place - the staff is so chill and kind. They are incredibly clean and cautious. Have gotten tattooed and pierced here. They are now using the new backings for nostril piercings which has been great to heal so far!

Very friendly people. Ive only purchased earrings for my healed piercing that I didnt get done here. The earrings are so good, I have sensitive skin and have gone to other shops to get earrings and have gotten infections or irritation. The rings here dont give me any problems and are well priced!

So I had an appointment for 1pm at Village Tattoo on Sept. 11th. I came in with my friend who was also looking to have a piece done but didnt make an appointment, the great people over there were totally understanding and took him at the same time as me! So off the bat, the hospitality and warm feeling was there. Mind you this was both of our’s first tattoos and everything went so smooth. The ideas were talked out and right away we went downstairs into an extremely clean room, organized equipment and we got started. My artist, J. English, was extremely nice and comforting and the tattoo came out amazing. So thank you guys very much and I highly recommend this shop, I will definitely be coming back again soon!

My go-to piercing shop in the city! All of the workers are so kind and make sure Im comfortable every time Im there. The owner is also very informative and doesnt try to upsell you on anything unnecessary. Theyre extremely clean and quick!

The staff is super friendly and caring. I was nervous about getting my cartilage piercing but they ensured I had a positive experience. Very clean place, I was shown the new packaged needles and their expiration date (2023), and it is more affordable compared to other places in the area.

Got a nose piercing today. Everyone were very friendly. A man at the front helped me select my nose jewelry and was really nice. Dez was my piercer and very nice and helpful aswell. He even gave me free sea salt spray which i otherwise would have had to buy. Overall, nice place and would recommend.

I am over the moon! I just got my 3rd (and 4th) tattoos here last night and theyre just perfect. Chris has been doing my tattoos since my first one last year, and he is wonderful. Hes polite, he listens, and he really goes out of his way to make you feel super comfortable. Not to mention that hes worked on my last two designs for me, and made them into so much more than I ever imagined in my head (for free, too! No deposit, no consultations needed!) I dont know how he manages to make the tattoo look a million times better on me than in the sketch, but he does. Its crazy. And the Manager Mark is super nice and welcoming, as are pretty much everyone else who works there. It feels like a little family, which is cool. Highly recommended! Ill only be going there!

Took a day trip into New York from Boston with a friend who had been here before and highly recommended it, so we booked appointments for a Saturday afternoon. Im glad we did, because when I got there, it was packed with people trying to get walk-in appointments.I had emailed them my design beforehand so all I had to do was sign a few forms and wait a few minutes for them to get set up. Chris was incredibly friendly and helpful in explaining how to take care of my tattoo afterwards since it was my first time.I would definitely come back again for my next tattoo!

I went and got my nose (side) pierced and my ears (1st and 2nd) pierced. When I first got there, they were very helpful with picking out jewelry. Yolanda did all of my piercings. She’s fantastic. Very nice and professional. She made it very clear that the place and tools are clean by having all of the packaged tools and needles out, as well as showing me the expiration dates and disposing of them in front of me once I was done. She walked me through the actual process of piercing, which was reassuring. I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. After, both Yolanda and the man at the front counter explained the cleaning procedures to me. They offered to help me if I needed to go back with any questions. The piercings look great. I highly recommend!

I first came to this shop back in 2016 to get my helix and forward helix piercings. When I first walked in, I was welcomed by the very friendly and informative staff. Within 20 minutes I was taken downstairs to Mooshu, my piercer. He was very informative, sanitary, professional, and funny, and knew exactly what I wanted. When he was done, he asked me for permission to take a picture of my new piercings! Of course I said yes, as I was absolutely ecstatic about how the piercings turned out...Flash forward almost a year later, I went in again for a conch piercing with two friends who came for piercings as well. This time, we were greeted by Yolanda, yet another amazing piercer. She was also very professional and knew exactly what we wanted... She made the procedure so painless for all of us, and we all came out loving our new piercings! Did I mention that their prices are ridiculously amazing? Seriously... I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an affordable yet high quality piercing place.

This place is really great. My guy Mark answered my phone call and let me make an appointment just an hour in advance, was super friendly when I arrived, and set me up with a dope artist (Chris) who did a great job for me with the tattoo I wanted. Had some friendly conversation with the guys behind the counter as well. The vibe was laid back and friendly -- I felt at ease as soon as I stepped in the door. I made the initial decision to come to this location for ink because of the high volume of really good reviews, and the experience met + exceeded expectations. Ill be coming back again for my next piece.

Got my 1st tattoo done by Jimmy, a smaller piece on my wrist. Hes super light-handed and the tattoo turned out beautifully. Had such a great experience, I came back to get a second larger piece done on my back. Theres nothing more awkward than having to stand mostly shirtless in front of someone youve just met but, Chris was extremely respectful and polite about it and I felt quite comfortable. His work is also phenomenal and hes very efficient. Mark, the owner(?)/front desk guy is very helpful with recommendations and tips. For all future tattoos, this is the place to go and definitely ask for either Jimmy or Chris. Thanks guys!

This place is incredible! The atmosphere was wonderful, very comforting and understanding. I was late and it was not a problem. I dont live in NYC so it was pretty stressful and they put me at ease. I got two small tattoos done by Chris, and they turned out exactly as I wanted. It was $140 and took about an hour, including wait time. They offered me and my cousins candy, which was nice. The room is small and comfortable. Chris was amazing. He wa every nice, very respectful, and very helpful. If Im ever in NYC again Im definitely coming back!

I love this place. The quality of service here is unbeatable, especially for the price. Got my septum pierced here (first ever non-ear piercing), the piercer was great and made the process quick and easy, and did a great job. Helped explain aftercare really well too. I told him I needed to be able to flip it up for work, and I can and its completely hidden! (pictured below)I also met one of the artists, and his work is beautiful, I would definitely come out here if I were to get a tattoo. All the staff are so friendly and chill, I really cant recommend it enough. Thank you!!!

The only piercing shop Ill use in NYC, after many years and more than 5 visits of exceptional service. Mark at the front desk is always welcoming and efficient. Yolanda and Mooshu are fun and friendly while keeping their workspace professional and clean. I always feel comfortable at Village Tattoo; even when I get a bit spooked by the needles, they are there with kind words and - yes, even in my 20s - a lollipop to soothe the sting.

I LOVE the people there. There so chill, warm and inviting. Theyve looked after me and my piercings since 2014 even if I didnt originally get it from the piercers there. This is my latest tattoo from the artist named Jimmy. He does exceptional work! Hes done 2 of my tattoos. Ill definitely be coming back! Check him out for sure! 🧡

Chris was my tattoo artist, not only is the line work on this seriously like perfect!! (I have other line work based tattoos that are not nearly this good!!) But he was SO nice from start to finish. Absolutely amazing experience and would definitely go again.

Absolutely love this place and would never go anywhere else in the city for a piercing. Everyone there is friendly and gives great information - and they even took great care of me when I quite embarrassingly almost passed out after my piercing (sorry guys!) - and the shop is very clean. Highly recommend! I went in today on a whim to get my nose pierced and Sam was so helpful and did a fantastic job on the piercing. My friend also got her first tattoo done, and the artist (didnt get his name?) did such a great job with placement/sizing and explaining the process to her. The studio is clean and the staff are friendly! Couldnt have gone any better.

The workers were very nice and accommodating. The shop was clean and @jenglish was amazing! He did matching tattoos for me and my best friend. We came to him with a rough sketch of what we wanted and he was able to decipher and draw it up Beautifully for us. It was quick and painless and the end result was amazing! I would go back to him and the shop again and again if I was a NYC resident! Can’t sing their praises enough!

This place has some of the most polite artists Ive ever encountered in a tattoo shop. I was treated so courteously and had an amazing sit down with an artist by the name of Chris. He saw my vision and we are in the process of putting it to fruition. I am excited to begin this journey and am glad to have come across such an amazing team!! I will definitely update once I start my tattoo. However; I am sure it will be amazing!!!!

I had James pierce my forward helix yesterday and I LOVE it!!! He did a great job!! The shop is very clean, everything they use is brand new and very sterile. James went through all the steps with me as he prepped my ear and pierced it. Hes very informative and nice. There was another guy there (not sure of his name) who watched James pierce me and he was talking to me the whole time, distracting me with stories because I was a little nervous! Everyone I talked to was nice, I loved my experience. James went over the at home care of my piercing very extensively, which was nice. Ive been pierced at places before that just dont seem to care about piercing at all and are more focused on the tattoos they do, and piercing is just another way for them to make money. Not at all the case with this place. James even took photos of my ear for his Instagram. Very clean, awesome place, with friendly people who actually care about what youre getting done. HIGHLY recommended if youre looking for piercing in NYC.

I came a few months ago and had a great experience with Dez for a conch & rook piercing. I just went in a second time for a navel piercing with Mooshu and had the same pleasant experience. Both piercers took their time to explain everything to me beforehand, took the piercing placements I wanted very seriously (which I appreciated with Mooshu specifically because Ive had my navel pierced twice before and wanted it done through the same exact holes), and they both took aftercare instructions very seriously as well. I didnt feel rushed regardless of how many people were waiting and both piercers had a calming demeanor which I appreciated very much! I refuse to go anywhere but here for my piercings now.

I got my forth tattoo here from jay. he did an awesome job line work and shading was impressive. the staff at the shop was very friendly and social. made me feel really comfortable. cant argue with the price ether very reasonable. I can honestly say I got more then I paid for which says a lot. good price for professional work.but what caught my attention was a old cover up job that a friend of mine had got done from there that was so impressively well done. that I choose to go as well and very happy that I did. jay you my new tattoo artist cant wait for my next piece.

Before today I would recommend 10/10 great customer service, friendly, put me at ease. But both my helix piercings were not angled perpendicular causing them to heal angled and cause complications. Had to get them removed, $70 down the drain. Their prices are great but for quality go somewhere else.

The people at the shop are friendly and helpful. They ask you every necessary question before moving onto the tattoo. They always give you the best price for the best service. The tattoo artists are extremely talented, experienced, and good with many different styles; I had Jimmy do my first tattoo and it came out phenomenal! Will be coming back again for my next one!

Absolutely AMAZING! the staff was like family, my tattoo artist, Chris, really cared about my comfort and opinions, and the price was great for the quality! The facility was sanitary and safe, and I couldnt be happier with my tattoo! I got a matching tattoo with my friend, who had passed out due to low blood sugar during it. They handled the scary situation quickly and SAFELY and my friend was unharmed thanks to them. I couldnt reccomend this place more! Its safe, priced right, and the people really know what their doing! Love them, I cant wait to go back!

This review is for the piercings I’ve gotten here. I’ve spent hundreds of $$$ here and so many of my piercings have closed due to the piercer not tightening the jewelry tight enough. Not only that, there was a couple of times I can recall where the piercer changed my jewelry, let the wound bleed without cleaning it, and put in new jewelry while it was bleeding and didn’t even clean it afterwards. I’ve spent and tipped too much money here for it all to go to waste smh.

I’ve been going to this shop for years. The piercer, mushu, is the only one I trust with piercings. I called ahead of time to find out his hours and spoke with 2 different people, confirming when he would be at the shop to pierce my nose. I traveled from NJ and upon arrival, was told that they don’t do nose piercings due to Covid. I explained that none of the 2 people I spoke with told me that, and I did not see that on the website. The man at the front desk very rudely told me there is nothing he can do for me. I felt so uncomfortable walking in and being treated that way. You guys have lost a customer due to the way I was treated. I called other shops for the same service and found a nearby shop called whatever tattoo. They are much kinder. I will be going there from now on, and never coming back here due to the poor customer service and rude attitude.

This was my second visit today & I must say I’m so Happy I’ve found this place!! I got my second tragus done by Dez! He’s the BEST and makes you feel comfortable so before you know it your piercing is already done lol... This is definitely my spot for piercings. In addition everything is clean! Sterilized! And their Jewelry options are amazing! I recommend this place 100% , will return soon!

The service and tattoo artist was great, really patient and works through with you. It is a bit pricey though, they didn’t discuss pricing before hand, and while my tattoo took 5 min or less to complete as it was just three numbers and less than 1inch in length and width, I was charged $105

Came here to have my upper ear lobe pierced. Everything went well! I decided on this place after much research, I needed a place that was clean, professional, and established. Village Tattoo met all the criteria! The receptionist is just the right amount of friendly. My piercer Yolanda was great at easing my fears and making the situation fast and as painless as possible. She showed me the new packaging of the needle and threw it away in a needle receptacle. My upper lobe piercings are perfectly even despite my uneven lower lobe piercings that were done as an infant. It was a little more pricey more than I anticipated... 80 dollars for two lobe piercings. BUT HEY you cant put a price on clean! I was sent home with aftercare products, no need to buy them separately as it is included in the price. Yolanda explained with great detail on how to care for my piercings. If I ever muster up enough courage to get another piercing, it will DEFINITELY be here!

Love Love Loved it. I googled this place and when I read the reviews, I immediately went with my daughter to get our piercings done and we were 💯 satisfied. Friendly staff, clean environment, the wait was not long and I was a walk-in. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. I am going back to get my first tattoo there. Highly recommend them for piercings! Mooshu was amazing, patient and friendly (Im a huge baby about thick needles). He kept me chatting and talked me through the piercing very professionally. Even showed me the expiration date on the unopened needle drop. Really great to know that an establishment takes pride in how they maintain their equipment. There wasnt a question they couldnt answer. Definitely giving this place high props and another visit!

I’ve been here a handful of times: first to get my ears pierced, then to get gauged stretched out. Mushu was always working, and he was super friendly and made me very comfortable. Everyone in the shop was nice. Great experience overall.

This place is wonderful! I had a piercing appointment scheduled and as soon as I walked in I was being taken care of. Picked out my jewelry and went downstairs. The piercer (Yolanda) explained the entire process as it was happening and showed me everything before actually doing it. Everything they used was clean and sterile. The earrings were in a sealed package and so were the needles. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend them to everyone!

After reading positive reviews on google we visited Village Tattoo NYC, for a very small tattoo on the Friday of our September 2017 trip to NYC. We met with Jimmy, a very cool and calm guy from Queens. he went through everything and we had our tattoos within 25 minutes of walking through the door. We were so happy with the results, and Jimmys service we went back on the Sunday for larger pieces. My wife went first and was done in about 50 minutes. I was next and took about 1 hour 45 minutes. The price was excellent, but it was jimmy that made the experience. All the staff are lovely, and we received a great welcome on both occasions. I will be back in New York Soon, and will be visiting again.

I absolutely love this place. Two days ago I got 6 tattoos done by Jimmy and I was so surprised by how friendly and sweet the staff were. It’s funny how people think sleeved tattooed people are mean or whatever but Jimmy and Chris are so damn sweet and soft as amazing tattoo artists. This Sunday I’m getting another tat done by Jimmy and so looking forward to it. He’s tender and considerate about my designs, very reasonable prices comparing to crazily priced tattoo parlors. My girlfriend wants to get a new tattoo and I’d drag to nowhere but here!

The work here is phenomenal, the artist Jimmy English is extraordinarily skilled and so light handed you can barely feel it. The tattoo parlor also has a wide variety of intricate jewelry pieces which can be pierced by the magnificent Mala. The staff at this shop goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, which I really respect and appreciate. I have had three pieces done by the artist Jimmy and I have loved every outcome. He works efficiently and makes sure youre okay along the way. His linework is very admirable and he always delivers exactly what I want. The man at the front desk, who I believe to be the owner, always offers chocolate to make sure your sugar is up before you get the tattoo, and always looks out for my best interest and makes me feel like family. Ive been going to Village Tattoo for all my tattoos & piercings since 2015. Everyone there is incredibly kind, warm and accommodating. Their procedures are sterile, the space is clean and Im always thrilled with whatever I get done. Couldnt recommend more highly!

She makes sure you’re comfortable throughout a piercing process and cleans the tools, piercing in front of you and shows you the expiration date of the needle she’ll be using on you. An amazing experience! From when I walked, the staff made me feel really comfortable when getting my first piercings(double lobe and cartilage). I originally accompanied my friends to get their cartilage pierced because I was scared of getting mine done, but B the piercer was so friendly and professional that I came back to get mine done a week later for $35. During my appointment B made sure to clean her work surface thoroughly, show me the sanitized and packaged needles she was using afterwards disposing of them properly, as well as giving me a through aftercare speech. When my cartilage got a bit irritated I reached out to her on instagram and she gave me tips, regarding what caused the irritation which went away after a few days. B was super patient and understanding of all my concerns, even going the extra mile of checking up on how my piercings have healed. I have recommended her specifically, as well as Village Tattoo NYC to many of my friends and none of us have had a negative experience here. Amazing customer service and prices here, highly recommended!

Personally I trusted the reviews on here and they delivered, I went in and showed them what I wanted and they gave me a quote right away. I also showed them two tattoos that I was unsure about because I didn’t wanna pay a lot and the man in the front said “well give you what you really want not the tattoo you wanna settle for”, and that was very kind. For the size and how fast it was done, maybe 15 minutes, the price was great. Still one of my favorite tattoos done very well and after care was explained well. Highly suggestion coming here if ur looking for a good shop in nyc!!! Coming back Saturday for more :)) thanks for being a clean and orderly place and giving me a better tattoo then I even expected

Ive never reviewed a place before but my mom and I were visiting New York and went here for tattoos and our artist was so ridiculously nice! I cant recall his name, I think I heard him called Jay? He was very informative and gentle and a pleasure to be tattooed by. He showed me the unopened needle and everything, super clean shop. Prices are extremely reasonable too! Wed gone to another shop and they wanted to charge $140 for my moms tattoo, only paid $80 here and it was excellent work. If were ever in the city again well definitely go back!

I went in without an appointment to touch up a tattoo and had the best experience. Everyone was so friendly and easygoing. Chris did my tattoo and he was very nice and patient. Overall service was fast and reasonably priced- easily the best place Ive ever been for a tattoo!

Ive gotten an industrial piercing here last Friday which would be 3/1/19 as of now. Everything was fast and easy. The piercer himself, I wish I got his name, had a good sense of humor. He seemed to know what he was doing and when he looked at my ears he explained to me why either or would be better or me, and explained to me the process and made sure to me that everything was sterile. It was professional, and Id be more than glad to come here again for future piercings.Update: I said Id come here for future piercings and I have. Gotten my tongue, conch, and rook done. Again professional service. While I have a piercing addiction I cant recommend these guys enough.

Went to get a nasal piercing readjustment that was done by another place from a few years ago. Was so impressed with the service from the time I arrived until the time I had left (which was a bit past closing time.) Incredibly nice, caring, professional, thoroughly informational, super-hygienic place & staff (I spoke to Mark by phone earlier before coming in), which didnt try to rip me off but instead only charged me for the products I purchased AND the piercer also used one of the jewelry pieces that Id brought in that was purchased elsewhere. I cannot say enough except that I highly recommend getting piercings done or other services offered (tattoos) at this place ➕ theres a FAB selection of jewelry to be had. Keep up the fantastic work, guys!

I’ve been here twice now. Different artists each time, but both were lovely. The tattoos I had done were simple and small, so I was able to walk in and be seen almost right away. The people at the front might come across as gruff at first but they’re actually very nice and helpful. (I can imagine they deal with a lot of drunkards at night.)

Very professional artists, not to mention very friendly. My wife did a tattoo on her arm and I didnt hear any complaints of the pain. Its now a week past that and she got healed very fast. I get tattooed in October 2016 and this first experience was great, I was stressed, but the guy who tattooed me was super nice and confident that it all goes well. I really LOVE my tattoo. It was my 25th birthday gift.This year, February 2020, I came in NYC with the idea of a conch piercing. But pictures on internet were very disgusting (infections and so on) and then I waited the last day of my trip to go to Village Tattoo. Im so happy I did it. The piercing hurt for a few days but I received clear information to clean and heal it. Now its been 8 months I get pierced, I changed the jewel and the piercer here in Switzerland told me that usually, conch piercing get bad and its quite rare to have such a nice result.I now LOVE my piercing and tattoo.Thank you so much guys for those incredible NY memories !

I booked an appointment for a tattoo and was running late. The shop was very accomodating and took their time with making sure I liked the design. J English did a great job, very nice and my tattoo turned out wonderfully. His work was very efficient and had such a light touch. It dis not hurt at all. I would get another tattoo from him anytime!

My husband and I are going to be in NY in June and want to get wedding ring tattoos. The person I spoke with over the phone acted like that was completely beneith the artists there and she would not set up an artist for us to work with.She would only have allowed us to send photos to the studios general mailbox, then she said she would let us know what the shop could do and how much of a deposit we would need to pay in order to secure an appointment. We do want quality work and wouldnt mind paying for it, but the attitude of this shop made us think we probably need to look for somewhere thats a little friendlier.

I had the spontaneous idea to get a tattoo while being in NYC. So I looked up the next Tattoo Studio with a great rating and walked straight in. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, when it came to choosing and sizing my tattoo. The tattoo artist did a great job, I love it. Its healing great. Would totally recommend.

Imagine youve been assigned the simple task of putting a hole in someones ear.Youre not a doctor, a lawyer, or a banker, making decisions that require thought and contribute to society in a meaningful way. Youre putting a hole in an ear.And yet, when my friend visited today to get a rook piercing, she left the tattoo parlor with a daith piercing.How do you, an employee at a tattoo parlor, mess up the location of someones piercing?How do you remain an employee after sticking a hole in the wrong location of someones body?This employee should be fired immediately and everyone should avoid this tattoo parlor. A mistake this significant is NOT NORMAL OR ACCEPTABLE.

I went here to get my first tattoo, and the people couldn’t have nicer. Chris was my artist, and he was the warmest, most laid back guy, which made the process incredibly easy and smooth (especially since I was a bit nervous). Their pricing was good (got a design on that smaller, simpler side that took 15 mins and was $100), as other places nearby have a more expensive minimum. Highly recommend, and ask for Chris!

I randomly wanted to get a piercing one night & googled piercing spots on October 14, 2018. They were the only spot open late so I took a chance & went. When I arrived I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I’m big on customer service being that I work with the public myself so I loved that. It wasn’t forced & seemed super genuine. The piercer working that night was Mushu. He was super sweet, made me laugh & made me feel VERY comfortable. He was super clean, very educated on piercings, the healing process of piercings and great with suggestions on what he thought would like nice on me. That night I got a double nose piercing done (I’d only come in to get a regular nose piercing but he sold me on the double and it looked amazing on me). Since then, I’ve gotten 5 more piercings done by Mushu and I’m in love with every single one. I’ve also had a friend come and get a piercing as well and loved it. I’ve been getting piercings since I was 15 years old by many different piercers & Mushu is literally THE best piercer I’ve ever had. Friendly, respectful, not out to pierce you just to get you for your money, super educated on piercings & CLEAN! I can’t stress that enough. If you want a piercing for a great price with amazing service, this is the shop in NYC to go to! You won’t be disappointed. The best in NYC.

I had an amazing experience at Village Tattoo and felt like I had to write a review because of how great it was. I have wanted to get my nose pierced for years, but kept talking myself out of it because I was a little nervous about it. I finally decided that I really wanted it done and after reading all of the amazing reviews for Village Tattoo I decided to get it done there.I walked in and was greeted by a nice guy who asked me to fill out some paperwork and to see my ID. I picked out my stud and then was introduced to the piercer, Mooshu, who was hilarious and made me laugh the whole time. He even let me hold onto his monkey stuffed animal because I was so nervous. All of the piercing materials were super clean and sterile and I felt more than comfortable getting my piercing done there.The piercing itself took no more than a few seconds and I barely felt anything. It was crazy! The piercing has healed wonderfully and I dont even notice its there. I really attribute all of this to Mooshu and his piercing skills as I have heard that nose piercings can be super painful and take forever to heal. I cant wait to go back in a few months to get my jewelry changed out!If you need a piercing and are in NYC, get it done at Village Tattoo. Believe me, its definitely worth the trip. You will not be disappointed!

Clean place, quick performance & painless. I went to Village Tattoo for ear piercing, actually starting out for ear stretching, where I had the procedure done by Mooshu (I hope I got his name right). He was an awesome professional in making it happen. We walked through the process & before I knew it, the piercings were done. Overall, Id liken it to an infant lightly pinching my ears. I would continue to come here to continue the stretching process, for sure.

I come to New York often to visit friends here and decided to get my nose re-pierced. I walk in and everyone is very friendly and had me sitting in a chair to get pierced in less than 10 minutes. Mooshu was my piercer and he was very nice and positive, making jokes to make me comfortable even though ive gotten pierced before. He even looked at my friends piercing and replaced the jewelry and gave her recommendations for care since it was infected. I normally dont care to leave reviews but Mooshu was so kind to me and my friends I just had to! Would definitely recommend this shop.

Emailed to see if I could get a quote for two tattoos and they responded within minutes and answered all of my questions. I was able to book an appointment to have both done together that same weekend. Very reasonable pricing especially for NYC and the staff is extremely friendly. It was first brought to the attention of management. As soon as the owner heard, he brought us in and did all he could to help us fix the mistake. He was very kind, understanding, and apologetic. Jimmy the tattoo artist was excellent and professional.Overall, we just wanted to thank the shop for handling their mistake so well and doing all they could to help us. Will be back again soon.

I had my ear cartilage pierced here. Dez the piercer was incredibly professional, kind, and had a calming presence. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. I also liked that all of the piercing and tattooing is done away from the front desk area.After writing my initial review, I decided to go back and have an industrial done. This time, Mooshu was my piercer. He was also extremely professional, calm, and had a good sense of humor. I highly recommend Village Tattoo.

Much better place with Bonnie as my piercer! She did an excellent job on my rook and told me that my cartilage was looking well taken care of. A month later, she downsized my cartilage piercing and looked at my rook and said the upkeep was great

After looking around my friend and I decided this was the place to get her nose pierced - and we were right! Alex was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. He suggested products without pushing one or the other and gave us as much time as we needed. The piercing/tattooing area downstairs was wonderful. It was cut off from street noise and everything looked super clean and professional, so you immediately felt safe and comfortable going down there. He explained before he did it, and went over everything we needed to know as well as giving detailed care instructions and not just giving us a paper with them (which they provide as well). I plan on getting a tattoo in the future and I would make a special trip to the city just to come back to Jokers!

Awesome tattoo shop for a first time tourist in New York. Very professional and clean and Vince did an awesome job I love my tattoo!! Price was very good for how expensive New York is! I went in at 10pm on a Tuesday night for a tattoo and it was all done by 11pm. It was an amazing experience. Ive never gotten a tattoo before so I was really freaked out. Chris, the tattoo artist, had such a comforting and friendly personality that I felt immediately. Highly recommend this place.

I could not be happier with the work Jimmy did on my arm. I had originally came in for flowers that grow where I live to start my sleeve. After I saw how amazing they turned out, I came back the next day for more work. From the minute I walked in the door to the very end, I was met with friendliness, knowledge, professionalism, and cleanliness. I wouldnt hesitate to send my Grandmother here. Even down to the communication and willingness to be accommodating, my entire experience was phenomenal. Jimmy is not only a talented artist but his ability to see the bigger picture helps to ensure that the work is what you want. I am so stoked to have found these guys and excited to have Jimmy finish my sleeve.

Love my tat. Its simple so it wasnt hard to mess up. What I didnt love was that after being quoted a price and after they were half way through the man who was working reception came downstairs and up the price significantly on an already overpriced quote (the entire tat took 20mins) Im not going to lie, I was pretty inebriated so I didnt have the capacity to argue and didnt want to leave with only half a tattoo so I agreed.Pretty sad to accept drunk customers and then take advantage of the situation.

My best friend and I went into city with the sole purpose of getting tattoos. After going to one place we were very discouraged, however the second shop we went to was Village Tattoo and we couldnt of been happier!!! Not only did Jimmy do amazing work and was super nice, but my best friend passed out, and the whole shop was really cool about it!! This was my first tattoo and after this amazing experience this is the only place and I will go!!! Jimmys tattoo is way better then the picture we gave him!!

Mooshu was such a pleasure to get pierced by. I got three piercings at once on my right ear (rook, conch, and tragus) and trusted him to use his judgement for placement. He didn’t mark anything and was so smooth with his hands, I barely felt any pain. No discomfort. Will definitely come back again!

My best friend of 25 years cake to NYC for a girls trip with intentions of getting matching tattoos and after much research decided we would come here. It’s was a great choice everyone was great. Do not let the small size of this tattoo shop fool you. Its is amazing! Everyone there is chill and professional. Jimmy in my opinion is the best tattoo artist there also coming from many other people in the reviews. Most of the reviews seem to be about how great Jimmy is. Not to discount any other artists there. They seem skilled as well. I gave him an idea of what I wanted. It wasnt even a solid sketch and he made it into a masterpiece. I gave him a 10 dollar tip that I didnt need to give him. Would have gave him more but I was on a budget. It was just that good. He exceeded my expectations. I would give them 10 stars if I could. The service is amazing. They need a larger shop so that they could do more people because I know they are about to get tons of more customers in the near future. They make you feel right at home and they gave me some things like a water bottle(it was a 5 hr session) and care supplies for the tattoo. A big thank you to Jimmy and the employees at Village Tattoo. You will definitely be seeing me again.

This place is awesome. I got my tongue piercing done here with my best friend and Mooshu made it so much fun. He made a lot of jokes and it was done quickly. Very clean and professional! After my breast piercings, I was so nauseuses after the procedure. They were so nice after and gave me unlimited water and chocolate to make me feel better. I felt so taken care of and I was so happy with the service!I highly recommend this place

The worse service and professionalism ever!! I have never felt so discriminated against before. I came all the way from New Jersey after calling in for. A price quote and to schedule my apt for today at 12 noon. I arrived at 11:30am.I met the owner/ manager who told me to come bald at 12. I returned at that time only to be told one of the tattoo artist call off and the will be there in 10 minutes. He didn’t show up until close to 12:30pm with no apologies l.I was then quoted a different price for the same tattoo i previously inquired about. I was put through the whole process and even took my clothes off and then to be told that they cannot do my tattoo because i would need a doctors note for them to do it.Mind you i have three stitched scars on my body which i pointed out to them to prove that i do not have keloid skin. They insisted that I should pay them 100 bucks to do a simple tattoo and also pay my doctor co insurance to get a letter to say what i do not have in the first place.This is is despicable and i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Period! I would also recommend that the health department take a look at the fad colors and how the tattoos are done. It’s filthy! My time and money was wasted! I won’t accept this as the norm for spending my hard earned money.Stand clear!!!

Jimmy is a ROCK STAR. He made sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted. The whole staff is friendly, personable and professional. The space is super clean. Prices are very reasonable. Ill be returning for my piercing.

Mooshu was very straight forward in guiding me through the piercing and telling me what he was doing. He made sure to show me the sterilized needle, and answered all my questions about the piercing. I dont know who pierced me, but he was so cool and all the equiment to pierce me was brand new and clean. he opened everything in front of me and he honestly made me feel so relaxed. only $35 for a septum and it was honestly painless. would totally recommend !!

Did my Tattoo there two days ago, it’s a very small and thin one on my foot. It was my first tattoo so i was very nervous. The service was great. They were able do it right away and the artist did exactly what I wanted I just needed to show a picture. The place is really great and I would recommend it, I‘m very happy with my first tattoo, couldn’t imagine it better! Thank you :)

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT (piercing). I didn’t and the city was unusually busy. I still had an amazing experience, got a double cartilage piercing, Yolanda properly showed me how sterile the entire operation was and they even brought me a coke when I told them I would most likely start passing out. Piercing and earrings themselves must’ve taken like 10~ish minutes.

Excellent experience getting a tattoo here today! I had an idea in mind, but the tattoo artist helped bring it to life in such a creative way that I couldnt be happier with the results. Everyone was so friendly and the interior was so clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend stopping here for true artwork and intricate design.

Walked in last night 2/28/15 with 2 friends to find out about getting tattoos later on in the evening. We gave our ideas to Jimmy who said he would get everything all set for when we returned. We went back about 2.5 hours later after we had dinner and just like Jimmy said, everything was ready when we got there. 3 of us got tattoos - Jinko did 1 and Jimmy did 2 including mine. Both guys was nice, funny, and great tattoo artists. Everyone that we talked to that works there were very welcoming and overall a nice bunch of guys. My friends and I are planning to go back next weekend for more tattoos. I highly recommend Village Tattoo NYC!

I had such a great experience with Yolanda! I went to a shop in Brooklyn, Armageddon Ink, for a tragus piercing. They did a HORRIBLE job, so a week later I went to Village Tattoo to beg for help. Yolanda cleaned my piercing, fixed me up with a new earring and all my aftercare needs. Yolanda will be my new go-to piercer and Village Tattoo will be my only NYC piercing spot. Their prices are awesome too.

Got my Daith pierced today by Yolanda. This piercing is one of the more painful ones you can get done and let me tell you, this woman eased my nerves and the pain lol. She was so thorough and explained every piece of equipment, showed me that it was all brand new and clean, and even showed me a few breathing techniques that actually worked !! I highly recommend this place and Yolanda.Also the man at the desk, unfortunately I do not remember his name but he kept the shop very clean and took my temperature and gave gave me hand sanitizer the moment I walked in. Everything was spotless. They both were very professional and friendly.I highly recommend this place !!!

Wow, wow, wow. Got some work done by Chris on May 28 2018 and had an incredible experience. Meticulous attention to detail, a calm demeanor, and incredibly friendly; never once got annoyed at my nervous smal talk or frequent clarifying questions. The front desk folks are attentive, helpful, and highly accomodating of walk ins. I got there at 7pm and was told I would be seen by 9pm, so I walked around the park for a bit. They called around 8:15 and I was in the chair by 8:30. An amazing experience and some of the fairest pricing in the city. My third tattoo and by far my best.

Chris gave me the best service and tattoo work I could have asked for, my tattoo looks exactly like the drawing I brought. The staff is helpful, pricing is fair, even though I was a drop in I came out very happy. If you want a high quality tattoo I recommend Chris

I havent had a lot of experience with piercings, but that being said I will ALWAYS go back here if I want to get another done. The place is extremely professional and accommodated me immediately even though I was a walk in. Im an anxious person by nature, but Mushu helped me feel as comfortable as possible and it was all over in less than 20 mins. I got 2nd lobe piercings on each side and a cartilage, very quick and very little pain. Id like to get a tattoo at some point too and you can bet your last dollar Ill go here for it. Prices are also very reasonable, especially for the quality of service. TLDR; go here for any body work youre looking to get done because theyll do it right.

I went there today to get my naval pierced and it was a great experience. The staff was efficient, friendly, and professional. I had was in and out quickly, but they made time to explain aftercare and answer my questions. I would definitely recommend.

Just got a double front helix piercing from Yolanda! It’s my second visit to Village Tattoo and will come back a 3rd time! I felt very comfortable with their COVID protocols they had in place.

I got my septum pierced by Muosha. I was scared at first but he was super friendly and tried to make me laugh. He was really informative about the process. It was really easy and I didnt feel any pain. He explained the aftercare really well. I paid about $38. A great experience because some shops cost $40 for the piercing excluding the jewelry. I would go back again.

From earlier this year when i got my first tattoo till my 7th recently, this place has become a second home and the people there family!!After working with Jimmy, the tattoo artist, for the first time where i was cautious on the placement of my tattoo and the look of it, i no long worry about it. I had Yolada pierce me. she did a great job of explaining things both prior and after, she made me very comfortable, and it was overall a great atmosphere. the guy at the counter in the front also did a great job of explaining the differences between jewelry but maintained that every thing was ultimately my choice. area was spotless, all items were fresh and new. Yolanda made sure to show me all instruments were in their packaging and sterile, and then showed me that she discarded of them in an appropriate sharp item biohazard trash bin.

I adore this place, I originally went there to get a small infinity tattoo in my arm as a first timer, sadly since I have eczema they had to decline, the guy in the front explained to me the dangers and told me to first get tested with my doctor, have a note written and come back whenever I want to. I was so happy with how responsible they were that I decided to get my belly pierced [Something I had years thinking about doing.]Mooshu, who did my piercing, was really funny and kept making me laugh. At first I was nervous, especially since I hate needles but thanks to him I was relaxed and didnt even feel it when it went through....and I have a pretty low pain tolerance.At the front, since he knew that I have sensitive skin, they walked me through what piercings I could or could not get and the reason behind it, I thought I could get Sterling rings but it turns out thats incorrect, only sterile ones which are designed for people like me. The receptionist warned me to choose one that I really like since I cant remove the piercing for 4-5 months since thats the proper time needed to heal.During the piercing time, Mooshu walked me through it, I love the fact that he showed me the unopen needle, had me read the expiration date and open it in front of me. He explained to me in detail what he was doing and why, I didnt even know that my belly button was considered small and thus had to have a specific belly ring, through the process Mooshu kept making me laugh and distracting me, all I felt was a little pinch, like when someone pinches your arm and then it was done, I was shocked!I had gotten my belly pierced once when I was young almost a decade ago and it had been painful as well as unpleasant. Once done, he let me see it and then explained to me in detail how to take care of my piercing, included in the price [Which was 65$] was my care package, it would have been less but I wanted a bigger size, they also gave me a copy of the instruction, all which was color coordinated, orange meant no [Even drew an X on top in orange to remind me] and green meant yes [Drawing a happy face on top to remind me], he gave me a high five and told me to see him in a few months to check up on my piercing due to my condition.Bring cash to tip them! I tipped them with money and also some sweets and juices.I am planning on going there for my tattoo once I am able to and also for more piercings if I end up wanting any. I recommend this place to anyone. Usually I dont bother with writing reviews but this place deserves it.Sorry to make this so long, to show just how responsible they are Ill say this; There was a girl ahead of me waiting for a piercing, the guy in the front [Really wish I had asked his name, he was super nice!] advised the girl that she shouldnt get it just yet because she had recently gotten one on the opposite side and he informed her that it was best to wait in case she got some type of allergic reaction or infection it would be on just one side, she had gotten that piercing elsewhere. At first she was unsure but he was so friendly about it, even saying and I quote Money is not what is important to us, we want you guys to be safe and if that means not doing something for you tonight and waiting then we will do that. After thinking about it, she thanked him and told him that she would come after the time he advised her to wait and that she would only go to that store because of how responsible they are.Alright, Ill shut up now.Below is a picture of the care sheets and products given to me.

TL;DR: Laughed in my face when I politely asked for help/service, could give 0 stars if I could. Also NYC INK is better & around the corner.Went in because I wanted a shorter barbell for my nipple piercings (shorter bar, keep the gems).They told me that many body jewelry companies will make these barbells so only one side comes off, so I might not be able to switch to a shorter barbell. This is understandable, so I asked for them to check because the piercings I had on were the ones I had gotten pierced with a year ago and I dont remember if the gems could both come off (also too scared to try myself).They literally laughed in my face and essentially assumed that one side wont come off. She even called over another person working there to mock me, like look at what shes asking for haha. So incredibly rude and horrible :)I walked around the block to NYC INK and the gentleman was more than happy to check for me, both gems came off, and he switched them no problem! Super fast, super easy, good pricing, and no laughing in my face :) (plus NYC INK had SIGNIFICANTLY nicer jewelry options)

This Place Is phenomenal !!!!!Not only did I have the best piercing experience in my life, my piercer Mooshu made all three !! Yes Three piercings look great!!My first piercing was the Targus, I was really excited about getting both of my ears done, however the owner Mark gave me his best professional advice and explained to me that only one Targus ear piercing was done at a time. The reasoning for this was so that you are able to sleep peacefully on at least one side your face. The fact that Mark showed extrem empathy and concern about ensuring I enjoyed my piercing really made me feel good about coming back for my second ear.Now Mr. Mooshu !! Is by far the best ever. Of course I was nervous getting my Targus but his warm friendly personally put me at ease and I was able to go through that piecing in a snap. Now !! My nipple was a whhhoollleee other story ! My singer had convince me to go forth with this piercing and Im not going to lie I was extremely nervous cause my nipples are my babies and I wanted to make sure they were good. Not only did Mooshu talk my nerves down but he was also soooo patient with me. Omg I know he was ready to kick my butt by the end of the 60 seconds LOL.Once everything was down the staff offered my some sugar. From Susan the beautiful and freindly front desk young lady, to Mark which Im sure is the kick ass owner and Mooshu who mows has a Client in me for LIFE !!!Thank you so much for marking my piercing experience amazing!!See you in two week for my second Targus ear piercing !

I had concerns regarding the healing process, but Mooshu was very patient and very informative. He calmed me down by making me laugh. The aftercare instructions were very thorough. I cant even begin to explain how clean and inviting the staff is here at Village Tattoo NYC. Ive just recently got my fourth tattoo there and could not be anymore pleased. Jimmy English is a great tattoo artist and if you want ink of any kind, you must must must go to him. I will be back soon.
