Friendly staff, clean studio and high quality work! My newest tattoo has the thinnest crisp lines and beautiful shading. Already planning my next piece.

Petter did a great job fixing a tattoo on my foot. I got it 5 years ago and I wasn’t a fan of how the original one turned out. I was avoiding getting it fixed because of the pain but I finally decided to just do it. This time around it didn’t hurt to bad. I’m sure it helped that others in the shop were making be laugh. I can’t wait to go back for another round!

Went in to get my septum done and 5 days later went back for my belly button! Justin is super nice and professional and made sure I was okay before and after each piercing. Prices were great and Ill be going back for any future piercings or tattoos.

Clean-cut Sean is the most amazing artist! He did not one but 2 cover-ups that were just brilliant and beautiful! I cried after the first one because I had been made fun of so many times and never again!!!dude is the shizit!!!

Stopped in today to get some spider bites. Justin was super friendly as were the other people that I saw in my short time there. I was definitely nervous but everything went great. Would definitely come back again!Edit: Got some new jewelry here today and got it changed out. The prices for jewelry here are super super reasonable, way better than a lot of places Ive gotten piercings from that over charge by a lot.

Went to Dark Woods and saw Peter today for a tattoo and he was amazing. He is so incredibly talented and takes extreme pride in his work. Aside from doing a great job, he was also very personable and so funny, which adds to the overall experience. We’ve been here multiple times for piercings and/or piercing changes and Justin is always great, even today when we weren’t there for a piercing. He recognized us, still talked to us, still joked around. Dark Woods is always a great time and everyone that works there is always super cool. I will never go anywhere else for piercings or tats and highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for the best studio in town to go!!

My daughter got her lip pierced here and I had to take her back the following day because the bars used in her lips were sinking into her lip due to the severe swelling. The people in the shop were rude to my daughter and told her that it could be up to a 3 hr wait as this guy is their only piercer. Like seriously?!?! You could plainly see that bars were digging deeper into her lip and needed changed to a longer bar, and she was told to wait 3 hours?!?! This blew my mind so I took her to the Underground Tattoo station and a piercer that works there went ahead and changed the bar to a longer one to make my daughter more comfortable. Customer service just isnt what it used to be.

Carly did my first tattoo. (arrows) shes very nice and very talented for an apprentice.Reptar (ryan funk) did my dream catcher and it is absolutely amazing. Would 110% recommend him to anyone wanting a high quality tattoo.

Sean has been awesome, been workin in a WW1 sleeve looks badass and he works around my schedule! Very professional great group of guys and awesome shop!

I’ve gone to them twice now. Once for a septum piercing and then yesterday to get my first tattoo.Went it with a personal tattoo in mind (my grandmas signature) and they took a look and even said they’d be able to do it that day like I wanted as it was in celebration Of my grandmas birthday. I do believe my tattoo artists name was Peter, and he was super great. The tattoo turned out awesome and it was a great interaction. The price wasn’t incredibly expensive and the service was completely worth it. I’d definitely recommend

This tattoo shop is by far the best place to get a tattoo I went in there Friday feb 17th to see if I could get a tattoo done the guys in there said they could probably do it later that day so i left my name and number I got a call around 4:30 from Peter letting me know he could do my tattoo so I went there and I received my tattoo. The guys in this shop are all the coolest tattoo artist I have ever seen great atmosphere and so laid back they made my experience a really cool experience and I love my tattoo Peter did an awesome job. Took my daughter in today to get her nose pierced for her birthday! Justin was great and she absolutely loves it! Very nice people and very clean!

My friends and I all got tattoos from Peter and had a great time! Peter is very professional and listened to our ideas and gave awesome feedback. He made sure the area was clean every time one of us went and even provided us seats in the room so we could experience it together. His line work is very good and gave us all exactly what we imagined. It was my first tattoo and he made sure we were comfortable during the experience. He talked to us all while also focusing on his work and we had a great time. I will definitely book with him more in the future!

Justin is awesome!! Went for nose piercings for my daughter and myself. I was very nervous and Justin was so professional and made me feel comfortable. He was quick and made sure I was okay after the piercing before we checked out. The next day, I had a question and contacted him. He responded quickly and answered my question and helped me out. Snake bites done by Justin and tattoo done by Sean. Still my favorite tattoo I have on my body , Sean was very flexible with my schedule as well as very professional. Justin was super nice and made sure I was ready before piercing. I need to schedule another tattoo I still have a 50$ deposit in there but have not been able to schedule due to my horrible work schedule. I go on vacation the 30th through until the 8th. If anyone is available to do a name during that time please let me know thank you guys !!!

I had artwork done by Sean Sandusky, he was very fun to work with to get the right piece for me. He really knows how to make you feel relaxed and confident with him. In fact at one point I even dozed off while getting my tattoo. He was incredibly professional and sterile. Always keeping your safety and comfort in mind. Sean was fantastic about after care as well. He walked me through how to care for my tattoo and even checked up on me later. I would go back a million times and recommend anyone wanting a great tattoo experience should too.

I got a matching tattoo with my friend here yesturday. The line work on both of the is absolutely amazing, the tattoo are so freaking cute.all of the art on the walls were super cool to look at. Staff is extremely nice and very much know what theyre doing. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back again.

I’ve gotten 2 tattoos from Sean, he does great work, clean lines, and is very professional! Went up with a group of 6 people, we had originally all planned on getting the same tattoo so he booked us all in for a certain amount of time. We ended up changing our mind and all wanting something different, thankfully my dude Sean was able to accommodate our last minute changes and we all were able to get what we wanted and they came out great! He even pieced something together for me on spot and it looked better than my original design,10/10 would recommend, I will definitely be back!

Sean Sandusky has done all of my tattoos thus far. Has been very patient with me despite reschedulings and design changes, and picky placements with stencils. The rest of the staff are polite and attentive and have always made sure my experiences there are great. I get asked a lot where I get my art done and am quick to direct people to Darkwoods.

This is the best shop in central Ohio. I have been going to Sean Kyle Sandusky for all my tattoos. He is very professional, does amazing art with clean lines and works with me to get the results I am looking for. I tell him the back story and he creates the vision we have talked about with the end results being absolutely incredible. Because of his experience he is respectful and aware of the need to give certain areas of the body breaks to make the experience enjoyable with minimal discomfort. I have seen the other artists works in the shop and I would recommend any of them but Sean is the bomb!!!!

I went in one day and Ryan helped me right away by drawing up a sketch. I made an appointment for the following week to get both of my tattoos done. One touch up and one new. While I was there I noticed how clean the shop was. I came back a week later for my appointment. Ryan did an outstanding job! Very fun personality and does awesome work! He walked out of the room and came back in and switched his gloves out. That stuff stands out to me. He fixed the tattoo on my back and then put my Grandma’s handwriting on my arm. Outstanding job! If you need a tattoo done and are unsure who to go to, hit up Ryan. He’s the best as far as I’m concerned. Overall, everyone I met there was very polite and the place is very clean and well put together. You can’t go wrong with this tattoo shop. Recommend 10 out of 10!

All of the staff were very professional and welcoming. During my visit, I saw some amazing work completed by several different artists and I could not be any happier with my new tattoo. First and most important always clean, every time I go in there theyre clean. Always quick at getting us ready for whatever we need. Justin the piercer is always quick, very precise, and clean with his work. Makes sure your happy with placement before you leave and any info you need.

Justin did an amazing job on all 4 piercings I have gotten. I have my earlobes, nostril and tongue. My earlobes all healed really fast and no infections. Nose and tongue piercings are in the healing process. Highly recommend going here for any tattoos or piercings-great prices and great people.

Not only did Seankyle do my very first tattoo, he made sure it was everything I wanted! All I had to do was show him a picture of what I wanted and let his creativity do the rest! It looked far better than the picture I showed him and more vibrant and cooler than I had ever imagined. He was super laid back and made me feel comfortable rather than nervous for my first time, now I’ll continue to go back for ink from him!!! 11/10, will always recommend this place, especially Sean, to anyone who wants some BEAUTIFUL artwork done on them! LOVE!PS, their piercer did my nose piercing and he was awesome!!!!

I saw Cody for an addition to my postage stamp tattoos. He tattooed my Lost Lands tattoo, and to say i’m impressed, would be an understatement. For being a fresh apprentice, his line work is one of the best I’ve ever had tattooed. He was very accommodating, helped me perfect the style of my tattoo, held up a great conversation, and super professional! I am from out of state, and I will definitely be back for more tattoos with Cody!

I was several days ago (Friday) to see about piercings. I checked the place out prior and the guy was super nice and went thru the process (safety and prices) on a holiday.Carly took care of me. She was wonderful. I never had any other piercings than double pierced. She asked what I wanted and I told her. She said great & helped me choose the earrings.I was kind of nervous but her and my husband put things together for me. I had problems whatsoever and Carly explained what to do to have a quick healing process.I already exactly what I want next and cant wait to come back :)Great shop and great artists. Hubby looking forward to doing a tattoo here also.

Ryan/Reptar was amazing! Wonderful and impeccable skills. Shop was very clean and they were all very nice. Got a pretty big piece for being only my second tattoo and he was very understanding, made sure I wasn’t in too much pain, and talked to me to get through it with ease.

I reviewed photos online from all the artists and decided the two hours of travel time would be worth it to get the detail in my tattoo that I wanted. I called and talked to Ryan about my artwork, size, location, timing, etc. and he answered all my questions. Setup an appointment with Ryan and two weeks later my tattoo was done with all the detail I was hoping for and looks awesome! His timing and estimate was right on spot with what he quoted me. Would highly recommend Ryan!As far as Dark Woods - it was easy to find, very clean and all the artist we met were very friendly. I would highly recommend it to someone thinking about getting a tattoo!

Got my nose pierced and the lady that did it was very professional. It didnt even hurt that much but she noticed that I was pale and clammy afterwards and she handled it fast and very well. She quickly directed my husband to lay the chair back and she got me a glucose lozenge. It has healed great and I am very happy with the whole experience. I recommended her to a friend and she got her nose pierced by her as well and told me that she was super impressed with the place and the professionalism of the piercer.

I went in with a friend and we both got our noses pierced. I got my tongue pierced as well. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and hilarious! Everything was very clean and the guy doing our piercings made sure everyone was using the hand sanitizer. Ill definitely be back.

Getting my first tattoo as for anyone was some what nerve racking. Dark Woods was the only local studio that had time for walk-ins, so we stopped by. my wifes tat took about 30mins start to finish with johnny macc. good dude, did a great job on his tat. I had carly do mine. she was a sweet heart. did a great job on mine as well. over all, great experience.

I was never ready to get a tatto till I met reptar at darkwoods I wanted one previously but never met the right person that I fealt comfortable with. personally I dont think there is a better place to go. Not only reptar personally but the whole staff are such amazing people and provide such a combfortable atmosphere. I dont want to rant on to much but I have nothing but love and respect for this establishment and if you get the chance just to stop in and get a feel I would!

I’m very sensitive to pain but I had always wanted to get my nose pierced. It was a decision made on site to do my second piercings and my cartilage as well. The woman who did my piercing was so nice and very patient, waiting between piercings so I could take a breather through the pain. She and my friend that went with me talked me through the whole thing, telling me what she was doing at all times to help my anxiety go away. The piercings turned out fantastic, too! Couldn’t be happier.

Searched pretty hard to find a shop that I vibed with enough to trust to do a memorial piece for my father, I then found Sandusky at Dark Woods shop, weve had 2 sessions (its a pretty big piece) and I will tell you I am VERY VERY pleased with the realism he did in my tattoo, his focus, & his energy. This was a very important piece and he has made me feel more than assured I was in great hands, and he has also proven himself too. I have never been happier with a piece. He blew all expectations out of the water that I had in my mind for what this piece was going to look like, he brought it to life. The shop is upbeat, relaxing, you feel at home, they are always smiling. Great place!!!!!!! 5 star++++++++

My experience at Darkwood has been phenomenal. My usual artist there is Sandusky, but I love a lot of the artwork the others put out. Very talented group.They also do peircing, which helped me immensely with migraine headaches which is worth 5 stars in and of itself.

We (me and my fiancee) went and had a couples tattoo done by jonny macc the entire staff was awesome. I had an appointment at nevermore tattoo in zanesville and I drove all the way there to find out they doubled booked really disspointed they did that twice to me . So I found darkwoods tattoo. My experience with this business has been nothing less than perfect Mr Sandusky has always been very flexible with scheduling and our appointments I wouldnt recommend any other place for tattoos or piercings.

They have some fantastic artist, at a very reasonable price. Regardless if your looking for your first tattoo or already have several, I would highly recommend you stop in and see them, you will not be disappointed.

Very unprofessional.. I was offered a date then 12-14 days later was told it wasnt available Mr. Sandusky was the tattoo artist. I will never go back He was a very unprofessional when I called to reschedule

Zombie is an amazing artist with the tattoos that he does he did mine and it was my first one butt he did it in very good taste and style and Dark woods tattoo studio is the place to go for a tattoo the place is very clean and professional i will recommend anybody who asks about a place to get one
