This is my 2nd time getting a piercing here and they are very attentive. Ive even went here on a visit where I didnt get a piercing but needed help removing a nose ring that was stuck (pierced by another place). Clinton did my last piercing and he was great. The 2 girls in the front were awesome as well. Got into some plant talk with them.

I got my first and second lobe piercings done here and it was an amazing experience both times. The front desk staff were very attentive and kind and the piercer was super down to earth and professional. I will definitely be back in the future for more piercings.

Ive came here twice and both times Clinton pierced my ears. He is so great, has very calming vibes, and did an amazing job! The front of house on the other hand wasnt too great. I was unsure of the best jewelry to get for my conch and they seemed annoyed that they had to describe the best option. I felt super rushed when trying to decide the jewelry that Id have to be living with for potentially 6 months/year. Then, they were talking bad about other customers in the store. Not cool.

I got my nose pierced here. i originally came in for a belly button piercing but was told i did not have the correct anatomy. i appreciated the honesty and integrity of the staff. when i walked in the desk ladies were so sweet and helped a lot with my fear. kyle did my piercing and talked me through the whole thing! he was fast and so nice! i very much recommend this place!!

The piercers here are great. I’ve received six piercings from this location and each time the piercers have been so nice and provide information on healing, possible pain and aftercare. The two women at the front today were very rude, talking badly about customers when they’d leave and my weren’t very interested in helping my partner (his first piercing) or I. He actually walked out and wanted to leave because they were so rude not only to us, but other customers as well. We only stayed because I’ve been pierced by the male piercer before and he’s amazing. We spent nearly $400 and felt great about how the piercer and apprentice treated us and the quality of the piercings but likely won’t return if either of the ladies at the counter are working. Kinda disappointed :( I’d like to add my rating is based solely off of the piercers. 1/5 for front customer service.

Got my eyebrow pierced here a couple days ago, the experience was quick and professional. My piercer, Clinton, had me in and out of the room in less than 5 minutes with a perfect, nearly painless piercing. He was polite and professional. I would recommend him and the body bar to anyone in the area looking to get an affordable and friendly experience!

Got my helix pierced here and had a great experience. My piercer was very professional, friendly, and explained everything. The staff is friendly coming into the store as well. The wait can be long sometimes as they do only accept walk ins. I recommend calling ahead to see the wait time. All piercing prices depend on the type of metal and placement. I wish there was a price list posted. Cleanliness is top notch. I will be back!

Got 2 piercing done yesterday. The experience was quick and nearly painless. The piercer was nice and professional. The two ladies at the front were a bit rude, customer service was kinda sucky. I almost left bc of the weird vibe. Overall decent place to go

This is the BEST piercing shop. i’ve never had a bad experience. everybody is super kind and understanding. and i’m in and out in less than 30 minutes. i’ve gotten almost every piercing i have at body bar and the ones i didn’t get there i’ve regretted so much lol. will forever go to them for any of my piercings.

I reccomend getting your septum done here. Healed easy and havent had any issues.Now on the otherhand everyone Ive known whos gotten their eyebrow peirced here has been given to large of a ring and it causes infection/irritation so I dont reccomend getting eyebrow peircings done here.

Did a poor job on my piercing, ended up with me getting an infection. They ACTUALLY yelled at me for going elsewhere to get it redone & refused to give me my money back. The white chick with the dreads is incredibly disrespectful.

Went to get a belly button piercing paid around $100 and no longer have a belly button piercing. I have many piercings (13) including my nose, and I have never experienced something like this before. I had a great experience with the staff and everything went so smoothly, until around 7 months later when I am still in so much pain and my piercing will just not heal at all. I knew something was very wrong, and when I looked back at photos, the jewelry had migrated and was obviously rejecting. The amount of skin holding onto the bar was decreasing by the day. I got it looked at by several other trusted piercers and I was recommended to take it out as soon as possible because it was rejecting and would not heal and eventually push through. I was told that I actually do not have the anatomy for a classic naval and the reason that it is rejecting is because the skin above my belly button was pierced (I was given a belly piercing not a belly button piercing). I am absolutely devastated that this happened especially because of the amount of money it costs as well as the time and effort I put into trying to save it. If the employees are not aware of these anatomy issues then I suggest more education on the topic, if they are and pierced me anyway then they are just in it for money and do not care about the clients. If you are near the Richmond, VA area I recommend Heros and Ghosts Tattoo, they are also pricey, but seem to be much more knowledgeable about these anatomy differences and are so helpful.

The staff at the counter/desk are so rude! I’ve been to this place about 4-5 times and only one time have they not been rude. The piercers on the other hand are great. Very kind and thoroughly explains what the process is.

Never have had such a great piercing experience! Kyle was so professional and painless. Will 10/10 go back to them whenever I get more piercings!

The customer service was on point from the moment I stepped in the space from all of the employees. Speaking of the space…..it was clean, neat, and beautifully decorated. The jewelry selection was on point. There was a lot to choose from. I got a nose piercing and I thought it was a reasonable price (I paid $50 for the jewelry and the piercing service). I would most definitely be returning in the near future and i most definitely recommend this location. I agree with most of the reviews regarding getting there early.

This is my go to place for piercings. The staff is very friendly (especially Chelsea) and the piercers get the job done quickly!! I love how Kyle talked me thru my chest dermal.

I got my lobes peirced here today and all of the staff were very nice and professional, the piercing itself was relatively quick and painless. I will definitely be back.

I got my conch and helix done by Kyle today and he was so great and had the best vibes and calmness. He even mirrored one of my mannerisms which I loved and thought was funny lol. I haven’t had a bad experience at the body bar yet!

Red was a great, she was extremely patient and very relatable, she took care of all of me and my friends needs: no hesitation! I definitely recommend🙏🏽

I got a nose piercing and the employees were helpful and my nose piercing healed right. Clinton was kind and told me more about how to use the cleaner and gave me pointers on how to get it clean.

Went to get my nose repierced today and it was super fast and easy. No wait and I loved how Clifton(I hope that’s his name) was super helpful and kind. I really appreciate the fact that he actually wanted to engage in conversation while I wait. I will def be back for some piercings that I want. Thanks to you guys I absolutely LOVE IT!

Went in with my twins who have really been begging for ear piercings. They were booked up which was fine, came back the next day after calling to make sure they had openings. When we got there thats when they said we would need their birth certificates. They could have mentioned it the first day we went. When we called. Or even better. In a prominent place on their website.Now I have two sobbing girls AGAIN, when this could have been prevented with clear communication.We dont mind providing the BC, but we really needed to know before we went back TWICE.

This place is amazing, I got my nose pierced and they did it quick fast and it was only a slight pinch. When I first got my piercing elsewhere it hurt very bad. So for first time piercings or anytime I recommend going here. They’re very gentle and they’re very careful. They also have good support system if you’re nervous. Only thing is they are a bit pricey but it’s worth every bit of your money.

I recently have visited the Patrick Henry location after my awesome experience at Lynnhaven I wanted to see the different jewelry selection. When I came in they were pretty busy but the girls at the front were amazing. The girl with the red hair helped me. I’ve had piercings in the past but she explained how much things have changed and helped me on how to keep it clean . She was very patient with me. She did help me by carrying on conversation and had me laughing so I wasn’t so nervous by the time I got back to Kyle . I will definitely be back to both locations.

Meghan is amazing! She really loves what she does, and you can tell. I have gone to her for 3 piercings and I will definitely keep coming back.

I was a walk-in and the atmosphere was great. I was greeted kindly and the ladies up front were very nice and professional. We had a convo about what piercing I wanted and what jewelry would best accommodate my hypoallergenic skin. The paperwork was easy/simple. I waited only about 15 minutes until I was greeted by Kyle. Kyle was great! I watched him sanitize his work station, my jewelry and he followed all proper protocols for safe piercing. He was very sweet and he asked all the appropriate questions for someone who has had many piercings before. He made sure I was happy with the placement before beginning the process. He talked me through the procedure from start to finish and that was very relieving to know what was happening/going to happen in real time. The piercing was not painful and he was quick which was appreciated! The piercing looks great and I love the stud I chose!! Thank you guys for the great experience and I hope to see you again soon! 😁

Decided to give The Body Bar another try on a whim. I will say, overall, pricing is fair for services. They have cycled through some front end staff and seemed to have gotten to a good place. Sophie was very kind and helpful. Decent pricing, good services. Id suggest in a pinch or on a whim.

I got my noise pierced by Clinton and he was very kind and understanding! My stud healed great and I eventually got a hoop from the same location. Everyone is very kind and helpful, it is a relaxing and clean space. Definitely will go here for my next piercing!

My friend and I planned a bday surprise piercing for another friend of ours whos been dying to get a septum piercing for quite some time. Shes been wanting this for at least a year, and the experience here was absolutely above amazing.I really want to thank everyone for helping us. My friend has COP and an autoimmune disease so we asked if the piercer would be willing to wear a mask and everyone including the piercer was so kind and understanding and went out of their way to assist us with the planning and getting this done safely for her bday surprise. Its been a very long time since Ive had such great customer service and it warms my heart to find people who are still in touch with their humanity. Thank you all so much 🖤 She was so happy 🖤

I’ve been pierced at all of the body bars. Gotten majority of my piercings and jewelry at this Newport News location since they opened!!I love Meghan and will only come in if she’s the piercer of the day. She’s GREAT!But due to the CONSISTENTLY NASTY ATTITUDE from the front desk staff I WILL NO longer support this buisness AS A WHOLE due to this Newport News location going forward this year.Due to mainly the 1. white girl who had dreads and 2. Black girl.. other brown haired one is fine. Passive aggressive etc. to customers, especially someone who this isn’t their first rodeo.It’s sad I’d rather not have to deal with them first, to see someone I enjoyed having a piercing experience with, BEFORE they were even employed. They think they’re know it alls, and are horrible with the waist list and THEY DO rearrange the wait list. You have to stay on top of them, matter of fact don’t go here.

Body Bar is the only place I trust to pierce me and take care of my jewelry needs! The manager is super cool and sweet. They are professional and efficient when it comes to your piercing needs. Go check them out! Going back to get more piercings done lol!

Went into Body bar 1/18/24 and Chelsea waited on my daughter and I and she was so professional and very knowledgeable. She helped me decide on best jewelry that I could get for my piercing. I was very pleased with her service and also Clinton the piercer. Would so recommend them to everyone. There the best !!!!!

I got my Christina piercing, was very nervous but it’s so gorgeous! I’m so in love with it! Amazing customer service, it was done quick and safely! I highly recommend getting pierced here! Be safe and be beautiful❤️.

Off the bat everyone was so beyond friendly. I don’t know much about piercings so I had my sister with me but they were very informative, kind, and helpful. They didn’t scam me of my options. Super super super amazing. The piercing guy was the best by far. He initiated the conversation and answered all my questions I had. He was very professional. 10/10 highly recommend

One of the best places to get pierced m! been going here for about 3 years LOVE LOVE LOVE the service. Came here today with my hubby for my bday 12/03/23🥳 to get my nose pierced. At first I was going to go to blue horseshoe in Hampton because of some of the reviews about how rude the girls at the front desk are.. I saw reviews and I was told by some folks. But I had also heard good things about The Body Bar as well. I’m so glad I decided to see for myself and form my own opinion. Check in and paying was simple .. quick .. and easy. 2 young ladies helped me today at the front desk … one with long black hair … and another with locs. Was greeted and answered my questions. Waited not even 5 min for Kyle and went to the back. Getting my nose pierced with Kyle was so easy and quick and painless for me. He def made me feel super comfortable and at ease (I was a little nervous) I literally was in and out but most importantly I felt very comfortable. It was also very clean and smelled really good in there. Thank you guys at The Body Bar for making this experience so easy. Glad I came to form my own opinion.😉 Kyle I will be back to see you for sure!🙂

Got 2 dermals done on my face Clinton was absolutely amazing!! && Red she was GREAT!! was completely honest about everything && helped me on ways to keep my dermals from rejecting!! i will def be going back!! them 2 together in the shop was a positive energy!!

I’m not one to leave reviews but the front desk staff was very rude and made the experience upsetting. The guy who gave me and my sister our piercing was very professional and kind! although they wouldn’t let me and my sister to back together which stressed me out because it was my first piercing and it would’ve been nice to get a second opinion on placement and just help calm the nerves. when this had never been a problem when my sister and friends have gone here previously.

Genuinely great customer service both times Ive gone! Im definitely going to continue coming back for more piercings :)

Came in this past Saturday with my son and the front desk staff was rude. They acted as if they didn’t need our business.

Everyone was very nice, especially Red!! The piercing was super fast and I love it!

My 13 year-old daughter was so excited about getting her ears pierced for the very first time. We called the Patrick Henry Body Bar store to make an appointment when we were told they only accept walk-ins, but they would be glad to take us as long as we could be there before 6:30 pm. I hauled freight from Suffolk to pick up my Daughter and drive an hour to arrive at the Patrick Henry store at 6:20 pm. There we were told by a young lady sweeping the floor that they couldn’t take care of us because they were booked. So if you don’t take appointments, how could you be booked? There was not a single other customer in sight. Meanwhile, there were literally four other employees standing behind the counter doing nothing. Well, I say doing nothing… one of them was picking her nose, and another was leaning on her elbows, halfway passed-out on the counter. A 3rd guy was doing something at the cash register (not waiting on anyone…maybe just counting money) so it really didn’t appear as if they were “booked.” I was quite perturbed. The young lady who talked to us was polite enough, but it was apparent that they were closing the shop, and not “booked” as she had told us Needless to say, I left angry and my Daughter left in tears. Your poor customer service ruined a special moment in a young girl’s rite of passage. We might not be big spenders, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. Disappointing, especially after we went there based on the recommendation of a good friend.

The Body Bar team at PHM is outstanding! Positive professional customer experience from the exquisite choices of jewelry pieces to select from to amazing staff assistance, and outstanding piercers such as Kyle. It was a fantastic experience. One which I will continue to repeat, as often as possible.

Called ahead and they said they had a piercer available. Drive 30 minutes and they took a group of 15 getting matching nose rings or somthing. Then said they wouldnt have time to fit us in. They knew we were on the way.

Clinton was absolutely hands down the best! He gave me advice and his opinions and went over after care. Welcome back Clinton!!! Ill be sure to ask for him when I come back.

I got my nose pierced there two weeks ago. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, walked through my paperwork and was given great help selecting my jewelry (I was clueless.) The person doing my piercing (I can’t remember their name) was excellent. Very professional and hospitable. After my piercing I didn’t feel so well and I was given water and a glucose? tablet immediately. If I ever get another piercing, I won’t hesitate to come here again. About a week after getting my piercing, I was having some irritation and was concerned with infection. I called and was given great information to get it back to healing the way it should be. Another week passed and it now looks and feels great. Thanks so much for the great experience!

I HIGHLY recommend the body bar location in Patrick Henry Mall. I went for a nose piercing. Kyle was 100% professional & very quick. Chelsea actually held my hand since I was nervous LOL !! They all are very sweet, encouraging and the price was inexpensive.. Visit these guys for your next piercing or tattoo!

My 7 yo daughter got her ears pierced with Meghan and the experience was absolutely amazing! My daughter was obliviously a little nervous, but Meghan was very kind and talked her through the entire process! We will definitely be going back to see Meghan for any other piercings we have done (my daughter or myself) in the future! Cannot recommend her enough; very kind, personable and professional! The studio was very clean and sterile and pricing is reasonable.

I just got pierced on Saturday and my daughter also I was so impressed I took my sons on Sunday. The establishment was clean, staff super nice and respectful! I will definitely be back! Thank you Chelsea for such great customer service!

They pierced my bellybutton so crooked and left my friends bellybutton hanging by a thread. THEY SUCK! Do not go!! Take my word and save urself 😡

I called ahead and asked how late they will take appointments, which was 7:15pm, making it pretty obvious I was coming to get a piercing. I get there and say I wanted to get a piercing, and i’m told they are booked for the rest of the night. It would have been very considerate if they mentioned that on the phone when I called so I didn’t waste my time rushing there to get there in time. extremely unprofessional. Won’t be returning. If I could rate 0 starts I would.

I went in thinking that both of my lobes were closed up & walked out only needing one re-peirced. The guy who was working today explained the possibility of why the one wanting to keep closing up and assured me several times that I can come back at any time to get it checked out if I feel as though its wanting to close up again. Even though it was quick, he didnt make me feel like he was rushing at all and was walking me through it.

I visited the body bar Saturday June 17th and got my nipples pierced although it hurt like hell they look great. The ladies made me feel so comfortable. Please forgive me but I think her name is Megan I apologize if Im wrong but she has red locks. She held my hand and let me squeeze as tight as I needed. It was so clean almost felt like an operating room. All my questions were answered and my piercer did a great job and worth the 30 seconds of pain. I would do it all over again but only at the Body Bar inside Patrick Henry. Thank you so much ladies 😊

The staff is the BEST!! I love coming to this place they make me feel welcomed and are always there if I need something and also they don’t make me feel uncomfortable with asking questions. Have been going here regularly for about a year now and I don’t see myself stopping!! LOVE THE FRONT DESK STAFF! They are actual comedians!🤣

Got my Tragus pierced here and Meghan was wonderful. I felt very lightheaded and nauseous during due to the pain, she said I had a small Tragus so she needed to maneuver through a certain way. She gave me a wet paper towel and let me sit in front of a fan while trying to talk to me to distract me which was nice. Waited for only 10 minutes which was nice as well.

Every time i go there, the ladies who are usually at the front are SO RUDE. one has rainbow dermal piercings up her face and the other one with dark hair that kind of stops at her shoulders are literally the most short and impatient people who should be working at a front desk. I’ve gotten piercings here for myself and have came to accompany a friend on numerous occasions and every time they act like they don’t want to be there or that our presence or questions are annoying them/ inconvenient for them. the piercer does an amazing job, but the laddies up front ruin the entire experience.

I have been waiting my nose pierced for awhile, I went in and the front staff was so friendly got all the paperwork done then Kyle did my piercing and he had an ease and told me step by step what was going on, my eyes didnt even water. I love it so glad I came here!

I got there early and there weren’t many people waiting. I’m from out of state visiting because my husband is getting transferred here. In Indianapolis Indiana for even a nose piercing we have to go to a tattoo shop. They’re more expensive in Indianapolis too. I paid $35 for the jewelry then tipped $10 since I knew the piercers worth and we pay more in Indy.The front desk gal was pretty straight forward and almost seemed to have an attitude at first. I was frazzled with my 3 year old so maybe that was just my input. I started to make conversation and she loosened up a little.Megan was sweet and did a great job.Over all the experience wasn’t bad and I am already looking into more piercings.I would suggest maybe having some sort of pricing list to give an estimated price so people like myself can plan ahead if we plan on coming back.Can’t wait to visit again. My advice is to get there early if you don’t want to wait long.

Omg!! Best and ONLY place I get my piercings! I went in for a belly piercing and decided last minute on piercing my nipples! I can’t remember her name but she had beautiful bright red dredlocks she answered all my questions and I had PLENTY!!! She even held my hand!!!!! The piercer is amazing she’s so professional and makes you feel completely comfortable!!! Best experience ever and my husband LOVES my new jewelry 💕💕💕

MUST READ REVIEW !!!!! I went there with my friend this passed weekend. We were getting few piercings and had lots of questions. the girl helping us was very informative and answered all our questions. Even when I know we were probably a bit much (she never acted as if we were…) But While she was helping us there was another group being helped by the other worker and I just want to applaud her !! Those people were so rude to her because they didn’t have the right documents. The girl explained what they could accept and the lady starts yelling at her she’s a minor she doesn’t have an id. (Minors can get an Id cards from dmv ma’am!) I heard her tell the lady they are regulated through the health department. So if you know that it means these piercers went through lots of learning to become a LICENSED piercer. I just new I had to leave a review for their professionalism! Amazing customer service! And just an over all great time ! So now that I look back on these reviews how the counter staff is “cold and rude” please ask your self was the reviewer rude ? I will absolutely come back here for my piercings and their amazing jewelry selection!

A week ago my best friend and I came here to get our nose pierced. No pain and the staff was VERY helpful and pleasant! Due to us being military they helped us choose the best ring for our nose - a freckle ring. I would definitely and will definitely recommend going here.

Staff is professional & helpful. They answered all of my questions in detail & were very knowledgeable in their job. Definitely recommend coming here as they have it running like a well oiled machine. I got my nose pierced & it was quick & painless. Everyone has a positive attitude & you can tell they genuinely enjoy their job which makes all the difference.

This place was great! I went there 2 weeks ago to get a nose piercing and did it with Meghan. She was so sweet! And she did a great job with my piercing. It only hurt for a short bit, but since then, its been healing nicely.If I had another urge to get pierced, Id go there first. Definitely recommend!(Oh, and always be prepared for a long wait, especially on weekends. When I went, I had to wait about 1 hour and 20 minutes. After a while, the wait time went up to 2 hours. Definitely go during a non-peak time of day. They mentioned they dont do appointments, so keep that in mind.)

I went to get my double helix done and the two staff members at the front were very friendly and sweet. My piercer did incredible; I had close to no pain whatsoever and I will definitely be going back for another piercing!

Very professional and knowledgeable staff! I was super nervous about getting my nose pierced but Meghan was super gentle (as much as you can be for a nose piercing lol). She even sat with me afterwards to make sure I didn’t pass out. Definitely would go back!

They lie and tell you the piercer will be with you in 10 minutes. And have you waiting for at least 45 minutes or more if you don’t speak up! Prices here are higher than blue horse shoe. Definitely not worth it!

Great atmosphere and great staff! The lady at the front desk was super patient with me. Meghan did my septum and she was incredible!!! She was fast, sweet, and informative. Good prices too. I’ll most definitely be coming back for future piercings!

Edit to add as of 2/9/2024.Personally I have just never had a good experience here. My last review was 5 years ago and not that great. Thought I’d try it again. Swung by this morning to see about getting a new belly ring and having it switched out. They opened at 11, I was here around 11:45, the young lady at the front told me her piercer was not in yet but she was hoping it would only be about an hour wait. Only 2 other people were in the store, but no one mentioned a wait list or a check in or anything. I just left. Won’t be back again.The piercer is awesome, but the other staff are useless. Went in to buy a clear nose stud for work, asked if they could change the hoop I had in to the stud for me, they were busy which I understood, but told me I could come back in a couple of hours and they would do it. Came back and they would not do it because they were still busy. Would have been nice to know if I needed to have my name on a list or something before I wasted my time coming back out when I was lead to believe that they would take care of it for me.

Great service. Was in and out in no time at all. No pain and healing great. Love my new earrings, and bought a second pair of hoops to change once my ears fully heal. Will be going back for a new piercing soon.

The amazing ladies at the front desk were helpful in answering my questions and very friendly. I have had my septum done 3 times before and it was done in the wrong spot. The piercer at Body Bar pierced it correctly. He made me feel more at ease and let me even see where the hole would be before even doing it. Highly recommend.

This was my favorite experience ever! These are my first piercings, my first being my septum. From how informative the staff was, the most validating and helpful experience, even one of them letting me know i could write down my preferred name, etc, it made me happy. My septum piercing had never ever given any of my trouble. i was able to gauge up my septum several times within 3 ish months, due to the amazing piercer meghan! i got my labret pierced about a day ago and it was the easiest one done.

Arrived on a Wednesday around 3:30pm I was told they werent taking anymore clients and was told to come back the next day

Took two of my daughters here to get pierced. One a belly piercing, second child a nose piercing. My second child woke up the next day with her nose piercing sinking in and swollen. This isn’t her first piercing in her nose so she knew immediately something was wrong.She called and they told her come in so they can fix it. Which was great! We get there and told we have to wait 30 mins to be seen! The two front desk girls “ well we are gonna fix it and we are not gonna charge you we can’t just put you in front of all these people” ! They said it as if they were doing my daughter a favor by “not charging her” and putting her on the list. I guess it is true when they said good customer service is really gone these days! You could look at my daughter nose and clearly see that nose ring was sinking, painful and it hasn’t even been 24hrs! But let’s go ahead and wait 30 mins on a list! They need to have a better policy and procedure for emergency situations like this! A piercer never came to access to even see if it could be fixed here. The two girls at the desk barely looked at it. A paying customer should never feel like a name on a list especially when coming back to get a piercing “FIXED”

I have a lot of anxiety with piercers because the last time I went to one for a jewelry change they ripped the piece out of my nose with pliers of some sort and when I almost blacked out from the pain they told me since I cant handle the pain I needed to not get piercings. I ended up rejecting the piercing.When I came here the two people at the front desk were kind and willing to talk to me about the kind of piercing I wanted to get and just eased some of that anxiety.I met the piercer (I think her name was Megan?) and I explained to her about my history with piercers. She was phenomenal. I will come here again for more piercings in the future. I really appreciate the time she took with me and how she walked me through everything before she did it.Thank you for being kind and willing to work with me!

The entire staff was so nice and I had Clinton who made the experience so much better. I felt calm and comfortable the whole time. I got my helix done and he made sure it was quick and easy. Absolutely wonderful experience! My husband and I both went in for piercings and the entire experience from start to end was stress free and as painless and a peircing can be. They are walk in based so just know that ahead of time. We only had a 30 minute wait (which is not bad at all) but I imagine they can get backed up so prepare to wait, but trust me, its WORTH the wait!

I arrived at body bar at 10:15 (they opened at 10) and was told that Meghan (body piercer) was late but said she’d be in around 11:30. It’s almost 12 now and there’s still no sign of her. There are MANY people here waiting on her with me as it is Saturday (their busiest day). To keep this many people waiting for upwards of 2 hours on their busiest day is extremely unprofessional.

I got my tongue repierced at The Body Bar and it was completely messed up. My tongue piercing is completely off-centered and veers towards the right. My first time at this piercing shop, would not recommend getting anything done here.

Definitely would NOT recommend!! First i called to confirm their closing time which is 7 not 8 like stated online. I called at 6:08pm and the girl stated that they closed in 30 minutes. I got their in 15 and wasn’t even greeted when walking in … i just got stared down because i was walking in late. Once she asked me what i wanted and told them they said they were closed because someone came in before me… if that’s the procedure if someone else come in we can’t take you she should of said that one the phone!!! Not let me come in then tell me cause obviously i was calling to ask what time they closed for a reason. Not only that when the girl said she wasn’t taking me she started bucking and giving off hand gestures to the clock like do you not see the time. Completely understand the policy it was the way they handled it and the way they spoke to me when ive been here on more than one occasion. I would recommend BLUE HORSE SHOE!!! they are open later and have been open for years and have good customer service!!

After reading reviews, my wife and I decided that this would be the place to get both of our little girls ears pierced. Our first trip resulted in us ONLY being told that the piercer that handles kids only works on Tuesdays. No big deal, we will gladly come back even with our trip being close to an hour one way. Fast forward to today and we show ready to go. The first thing we are asked is do we have our childrens birth certificates. I asked why were we not given this information last week when we were here. Good customer service would suggest to give the customer all relevant information in order to make sure they can get the service they are requesting. Instead of having your face in your phone while Im talking to you, ensure you do everything you can to set customers up for success. Will be looking for another place to give our business too.

Front counter ladies are snobby, not too friendly, and overall just kind of bland. Quoted a lower price over the phone. Didnt bother to fight it. The piercer was quick and he did a decent job.

This was the second time there in recent weeks. Once was for my wife, the next for my daughter. They both got their noses pierced. The nice thing was everything was well explained to us. How the process went for age verification, how it went for the actual piercing process and then for recovery. I admire that they do check the age of the customer. Its no fly by night business. I also appreciated the piercing Techs candor. She said it would hurt a little bit. My daughter (14) was a little scared but she reassured her that it would hurt for just a little bit, and it all went as she said. She was quite kind and made sure my daughter was ok and everything was cleaned and sterilized before we left. All in all, it was a very nice experience.

Came in for snake bite parts and they had cute ones. short supply though, and a small place. had to go to a mail bathroom to fit them. edit: the quality on my snake bite pieces are incredible

I brought my 6 year old to The Body Bar to get her first ear piercings. After bad (piercing gun) experiences myself, I was thrilled with the experience. Cail, our piercer was very patient when my daughter panicked half way through. He put on music to make her comfortable and was very kind to her. Overall a great experience. Would recommend.

Very condescending staff. I was waited on by 2 younger girls who were little to no help. I was looking on getting more information about the different types of metals because I have sensitive skin, and they were not very happy about telling me about the different jewelry they had. I go here because it is convenient and they have nice jewelry but every time I go I am greeted with bad customer service. Not impressed.

I got my nipple piercings done 2 days ago. I was super super nervous eventhough I have plenty of other piercings. Clinton did an amazing job to make it quick and as least painful as possible! I had gotten my belly piercing done by them 5 months ago as well. Super customer service and by far the best piercing studio that I have ever went to. Also the pricing is very good.

I love this place, the staff is very friendly and caring. They did my eyebrow n I have gotten Monroe done twice but unfortunately the Monroe doesnt work for me. Went to get my daughters nose pierced. She had called and asked what was needed, they told her an ID for her and her parent needed to be present and have an ID as well. We get there and we have different last names, and re married. Now they want a birth certificate. No maam, I will not be subject to extra protocol that you didnt say before we arrive. I know my daughter and I are not the only persons that have come that have different last names. Wont be going back.

I went in to get my other nostril piercing and Kyle the piercer did it crooked. The first thing he said to me before I looked was trying to convince me it only looked crooked because of the different jewelry size. In the moment I thought it was okay until I went home and saw it was obviously uneven. If he would’ve taken out my other piercing and looked at the hole or even lined it up to be in the same spot as the other one it would have been fine. Now I have two totally different piercings.

I went in today to get a below the belt piercing. The shop was nicely decorated, and I was immediately helped by the young ladies at the counter. I was shown my choices of jewelry and filled out the legal docs. My piercer, Clinton, was knowledgeable as I definitely had some questions to ask.The room I was in was very clean, and Clinton had no issue with my friend being there for moral support (someones arm to squeeze, haha). He discussed aftercare with me and things to do/not do. The staff here were all friendly and made the process as good as possible. Ill definitely be back in the future!

I love this place as my piercer. However, when I went in to ask if someone could just screw the ball back on one of my piercings, I was told I would still have to wait until everyone on the list was pierced, which was a two hour wait for a quick job to make sure the bar wouldnt come out of its place. Great for piercings, but not the place willing to offer some quick help.

This is the only piercing shop i go to, they have done 16/17 of my piercings. None of which had any problems that were caused by them (all problems from me playing with the piercing). They helped me with the healing process of the rougher piercings as well as being patient and helpful every time i go in. Piercers know exactly what theyre doing and front desk are the most helpful people. Everyone here always tries their best to help in any way they can. I will always continue to come here for any piercing i get.

With much trepidation, I finally decided to get my daith piercing as I suffer with migraines. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to visit the Body Bar @ Patrick Henry. They were awesome from the moment we walked in. Alyssa at the front was so helpful and very sweet. She mustve spent about 20 minutes just talking with us, answering questions and overall allying my fears. I finally decided get it done (Alyssa held my hand because I was a scaredy-cat). Clint was ASESOME; he talked me through the entire process and was a professional the entire time. I would definitely go back to them. No complaints at all!!

Asked for 2 threadless labret studs. Got them home and they were threaded. Body bar sold me the wrong jewelry and would not exchange or refund pieces. In their defense, they have a firm policy, regardless of fault.Make sure you measure and inspect jewelry thoroughly before leaving the store. Buyer beware.

Me and a friend went to get our noses pierced. There was a wait. They called us up early because no one else that was waiting was there at the moment. They bring us up , tell us we’re next , then some people come back and they tell us never mind , we have to wait. That’s bad service and they need better customer service. The piercer was great tho. Since 2017 I’ve have my nose pierced about 5 times!! Everytime it was a disaster! It would never heal, a little keloid would always form and I would always end up taking it out and letting it close up. Well I decided to give it 1 more try! Went to Body bar on Jun 11, 2021. The wait was over an hour and 80$ caught me wayyyy off guard! It’s been a little over a month healing perfectly! No keloid in sight, and no pain. I think this will be the last time I get my nose done lol Thank God! 🤞🏾. #MoniesWorth

Arbitrary 3 piercing limit per session total with no policies regarding when you can come back so youre forced to be asymmetrical. Cheaper than other places but run unprofessionally.

This place is amazing! I went to get a piercing taken out and they were so kind and told me way to have it heal up the best. I went to get my rook and my conch pierced and they were the sweetest.

I used to go there all the time when I was younger and their prices for their jewelry was always pretty decent but I went in there twice and they charge $10 for replacement jewelry and an additional $5 to put it in for you and still ask for tip.Although their prices are high.the staff is pretty nice

I give a one star for the atmosphere. Besides that I honestly dont know what to tell you. Ive been there twice. Once for my lip ring which did not end well I had to take it out. And just yesterday in an attempt to get a bridge. Aside from being told it would be an hour an a half like usual, the piercer looked at my nose and said I didnt have the bridge to do it. Feeling embarrassed and extremely disappointed I decided to go for a second opinion at Blue Horseshoe in Hampton. And Im glad I did. The piercer was very serious and actually did a FULL bridge and nose examination feeling in multiple spots before admitting I did have a bridge enough to get the piercing my bridge was just flat. The piercing will be fine and I will just need a longer piece of jewelry for the swelling. Long story short, I will be going back to BHS Tattoo for all my piercing needs. The staff was much more down to earth, less pretentious, and actually takes their time. Take my advice and go to BHS. Not this place. My piercing is doing fine so far and because I have an autoimmune disorder (Lupus) I would know right away if I had any complications or rejection issues. Oh and BHS was like way more crowded than Body Bar and the wait time was far less by like an hour. Smh..

Snake bite Piercing done 6/22/19 Clean place staff knowledgeable but my piercing is rite on my lipline and the bar is too short for my thick lips.. She (Meghan) marked one place and pierced in another.. Im not happy with the placement of the piercing placement so im going back to get it taken out. Its still very swollen and tender. 😕

My first time in here. The staff is rude and not friendly or inviting. They don’t even let a person go back with the person getting pierced. My sister in law went back scared by herself. Never coming back here. I will stick to go to the tattoo salons for our piercings. I asked if they have military discount and the lady said no people in the military aren’t supposed to have piercings anyways.

I use to love this place. I have had them do a few of my piercings. Recently they havent been able to do the piercing that I wanted. I once waited 30 mins to come back for them tell me they couldnt do it. They dont have the jewelry I requested, they dont have the tools to do the piercing its always something. I have driven an hour to be disappointed three times.

We had gone in there inquiring about prices for my daughter, who is 11, to get her ears re-pierced. We were told that due to her age, we would need to have her ID, and a parents ID. So, we came back with her dependent ID card, any my Drivers License. We were told that because our last names were different (I got re-married) and even though I had my old dependent ID card (granted it was expired but the pictures were the same) with my previous last name on it that they couldnt do it. I mean seriously? I had proof that she was in fact my daughter... dont go here if your last name does not match that of the minor your are trying to get ears pierced for.

If i could give this ZERO Stars i would. A friend went in for a piercing..nipple piercing i was there for support. They told us it was going to be an hour wait. WRONG. Right now we are entering 2.5 hours. I(support friend) went to work and came back and my friend has not been seen yet but yet somehow everyone else who has checked in and paid has went ahead of us. This is complete bullshit. If all piercing werent nonrefundable my friend and i would have been left and gone to Blue Horseshoe.

Theyre all so wonderful and Meghan was super nice. I am so happy with my labret piercing. I usually just get tunnels for my ears but I am very very glad I went to them for this.

The manager Vivian was rude and not helpful. They sold my wife jewelry that was the more expensive style because it wouldn’t rust or tarnish. Jewelry changed colors after six months and when we went into the store to discuss the issue Vivian said they don’t guarantee or replace jewelry that has issues. Poor business practices.

Ive gotten pierced by Clinton and Meghan and they are both efficient and friendly. I had my double helix done and my daith both with very little pain and a fast process. I love this place

I must agree with some of the recent posts. What used to be a great place is now a disappointment. That’s really sad. Clinton was awesome and efficient. Now they do t staff the store and any time you go in, there’s a multiple hours wait. Luckily we have lots of options. Hopefully management reads these and fixes their store.

This is the only place I go to have piercings done. Yes its in the mall but it is nothing like Claires or Piercing Pagoda. These guys know their stuff. I have never had any problems with any of the piercings Ive gotten from here. I dont know if the guy i normally have works at the Partick Henry location any more or not (can never remember his name)but i loved him. And the girl (sorry horrible with names) i had this time was just as professional. From walking in the door all the way thru till leaving I felt welcome and at ease.

They will remove your jewelry for you and put it back in I had to have surgery and they told me I had to remove all my so I went in there and they removed it for me I went in the next day and they put it back in at no charge but I did leave her a tip.. they go over everything with you before you get anything done this is an awesome place to go

Worst piercing experience ever!! They dont give the right after care instructions. Sanitation leave much to be desired. Went back because thought the piercing was infected ( red,swollen,yellow and green pus) and the girl looks at it and says oh thats normal. No its not. Do not recommend and will never use again!!

Theres a very bubbly woman who works here. Customer service is exceptional with her. Never down and didnt seem to get tired of repeating herself when asked about the wait

This place is awesome!! They were very nice and the piercing process was fast. Didn’t even get time to say it hurt.

If I could give a lower rating I would, I’m really new here and was looking to get a nose piercing for the first time. But before I get into it I did love the atmosphere of the place it was beautiful and calming. Everyone appeared to be really friendly until I found out the truth about that later. I went in and asked for how much it’d be and I was told $20 plus tax so I went up filled out the paperwork and then was told to come up and pay I was shown a bunch of choices for the jewelry and immediately was shown the “neometals” after all the other basic choices, telling me the neometals would be around $68 in total for the piercing and jewelry. Well I show my feelings on my face, I don’t hide it well. And they must have known it was from the pricing. And they immediately tried telling me all the “benefits” to it like it “catches the light better” “it has a back on it so it doesn’t slip” like you don’t think I’m not going to be careful? Which is all probably true but not everyone has money to burn. $68 for a nostril piercing? Must be made of unicorn dust. Im not very good at speaking up to people that’s just in my nature I’m too nice.me a newbie who has no idea where anything but the mall is located decided to go through with it. And I’m really regretting it, I love my piercing it was done well and I have no idea how well the jewelry was even cleaned they didn’t do it in front of me, but don’t shell out money even if you’re afraid to go out and explore just please spare your wallet the pain and search for a cheaper place. Now about the employees, I decided I might want to come back later to get it done another day but a friend wanted a ride to the mall and I felt comfortable getting it done with her the employees immediately talked amongst themselves clearly laughing at me that I was in their eyes “wishy washy”. And that I was clueless. How rude, and then when I asked if I could bring my friend in with me I was told no.Yes it was a small room but clearly enough for one human being to stand and hold someone’s hand. That should be something told beforehand or accommodated. And also why should I tip when you are clearly getting the money to run this place. The piercer was friendly and did offer his hoodie for me to squeeze when I was wanting to have something to squeeze during the puncture. Which was very wonderful and do thank him for that.

I recently had my dahlias pierced here (by the same person who has done my medusa and septum) and it was quick. I had some swelling issues, and went back and without hesitation they put in longer bars.

Clinton pierced my septum at the Virginia Beach tattoo festival, and Ive bought jewelry from the store in the mall several times. Everybody is always super friendly and helpful. Ill be back for sure.

Terrible customer service and not a reputable piercer. Called 5 mins before coming in to see if they could pierce walkins today, she said yes. I come in 5 mins later she said she stopped piercing today 2 hours before they’re closing time
