Jerry at Frontline Tattoo in Oceanside has done 5 tattoos for me so far and they turned out to be so amazing...!!! Im very pleased and satisfied with his awesome artwork on my body...I would recommend him to anyone wanting to have a tattoo done...the staff at Frontline tattoo in Oceanside are very friendly and awesome as well...really LOVE the vibe at this place...!!!

I had stopped in a different shop earlier in the day, and wasnt feeling really great about the artist I spoke with about my cover up. Couldnt get it out of my mind and happened upon Frontline because they were open later.BEST LUCK EVER! Dalton Curry was working and we talked through what we could do to cover up my old shoulder pieces, looking at examples on the walls, talking through things I liked etc-- I was desperate to cover these tattoos but had no idea what to do with them. He was super patient and helpful. We decided to go big so he wanted a few days to draw up the design- so worth it!Price was totally fair, it broke down hourly to be a GREAT deal.When I walked in for my appointment it was on the counter waiting for me, and it was PERFECT. He blocked the whole shift for me, and got it done in one go. Was gracious when I got squirmy towards the end. (My bad dude!)I get so many compliments, and Im so happy to have those old tattoos gone, ESPECIALLY covered in my creepy cute polkadot snakes 🖤🖤🖤 THANK YOU DALTON! Changed my lil life!

Out grandfather passed away, we had a lot of high maintenance people come in for last minute tattoos and they were very kind and accommodating.

My favorite place to get a tattoo.. I live in SC but go across the country for my tattoos because I trust the artists here. 😄

We love Frontline tattoo. Anton has done most of my work and i love every piece. My husband has done work with Anton and Carlos, both do amazing work. My daughter has done stuff with P.J., Dalton, and Carlos. Each one of them did a great job and gave her exactly what she wanted. She is set for appointments with Anton and Bud, and is so excited. Honestly, we wouldnt go anywhere else. And I cant say enough great stuff about Cami at the front desk. She is sweet, kind, and patient. We have never had a bad experience at Frontline and will continue to be happy returning customers!!!

Bud is such a great artist and person, I have never disliked a tattoo done by him. The facility is clean and the receptionist is very friendly. Came here for my first tattoo and will be here until my last 🤷🏼‍♀️

Roy was awesome. He did a blk purple and lavender black widow on my forearm. I get nothing but compliments on it where ever I go. Cant wait to get more work done.Thank you 💜💜💜

Anton was very chill and a fun artist to have!! Definitely going back to him!!They often have walk-in availability which is super cool.The atmosphere is super cool.The artists there all have awesome work posted and I think anyone could find an artist to accomplish their tattoo ideas here.

Not the first time getting a tattoo here, but definitely my best experience. Front desk chick(can’t remember her name) was awesome and super inviting. Bud Wilson is a 10/10 great artist as well as a down to earth guy. Super smooth hand. Piece came out great. Will definitely be going back for Bud to finish up my sleeve.

I had an amazing experience, the receptionist was super welcoming. I called early in the morning looking for a walk in appointment, stopped in was able to get an appointment for later in the day( my advice if you are trying to walk in is go early). I met Anton showed him a photo of what I was looking to get, he made a few suggestions which exceeded my expectations and turned my dream into a reality. He is very professional, my tattoo came out better than I imagined it would! I would highly recommend frontline. Thank-you Anton for making my memorial tattoo experience so special. To sum it up great customer service, clean,fun environment with reasonable prices.

Waited 2 months for an appointment, asked to change the design a month before or possibly use my deposit towards a different piece. Was basically told no as the artist had already started drawing up the piece, but I kept my appointment as I didn’t want the $100 deposit to go to waste. Day of the appointment I called to confirm and once again said I no longer wanted/was comfortable with the original piece, which was a stencil/design that I had provided and said needed very little to be changed. I told the front desk girl that I had designed, printed and sized a different piece that would be around the same, if not less work than the original and was told no. Be prepared for weeks if not months of a wait for an appointment, and to have basically no say in the design once the artist has a concept piece. Waste of $100 deposit and 2 months waiting.**Edit: As a response to the reply that I received on my review, I know this is the shop I encountered. I spoke with Allie at the front desk who was incredibly rude, and my appointment was with Carlos.

Cameron was awesome! My husband and I walked in when the shop opened with no appointment. It was our first tattoos for both of us and by the time we left we had appointments to get our next with Cameron. He made our first experience so fun. We laughed and relaxed the entire time. When he finished he took his time to work on our next tattoo ideas and walked us through everything we needed to know. Super thankful and cant wait to go back.

Went to see this guy on my vacation and all I got to say is my guy Carlos hooked me up. We had some setbacks but he never gave up. Definitely paying him a visit.

Amazing! In every way shape and form. We went in on walk in day helped us right away. Got what we wanted said it would be a couple hours tell we got in there was 4 of us. Called us about a half hour before told us they were running on time and we could come at 2pm. Got us all in. Did an amazing job on all our tattoos. We are all so happy with our new ink.

This was my first tattoo and they were very accommodating. Jerry was my tattoo artist and he did an amazing job! He did the outline and shading in only 2 hours. Surprisingly fast. Im so excited to go back for part two of my tattoo :)

Anton did an amazing job with a somewhat complex tattoo... he worked with me and explained everything on how he would recommend I go about it to make it look the best and it came out even better then I envisioned. On top of that he made me comfortable and the price was reasonable so can’t beat that! I’m now a life long customer thanks Anton!

I absolutely love Frontline. Staff is amazing, shop is clean and tidy. I absolutely love Dale, and go to him for all my tattoos. Each artist has their own set of skills so you can get any type of tattoos done! 100/10!

Gotta say I’m in love with this tattoo!! I’m from New Mexico and it’s my first time in California, so I wanted to bring home a little piece of it. These guys did not disappoint!!! I’m so glad they got me in as fast as they did. If I’m ever back in Cali I’ll definitely be stopping by again. ☺️

Beautiful inside.Got to work with Francesco. Very quiet don’t expect to have much conversation with him. as for his work, i paid $90 for a simple date in roman numerals on my wrist. some lines were crooked and looks rushed. Now everytime i look at it, all i can see are the imperfections. As for everything else it wasn’t the worst experience. Maybe i would’ve gone with another artist.

Dale did amazing on my tattoos! I love that he got my husbands handwriting perfect! I was just a walk in and super glad I stumbled across them! Ill definitely be coming back soon for my next tattoo!

Rob did a great job and was very attentive to my needs. I was very scared and he was very reassuring. He did a great job with seeing my vision and giving me what i wanted. I definately recommend.

Artist Dale, did my tattoo in less then 5hrs. Very good at his craft. Would recommend this place to anyone. Everyone is great, very friendly environment. Returning later for more tattoos, as soon as I heal from this one...

Had a large piece done by Yngve about 6 years ago and it still looks amazing. I get compliments on it all the time and couldn’t be happier with it. Price was very reasonable as well and he was very easy to work with regarding schedule.

I’ve come here several times and enjoyed each visit. The guys are super chill, ive gotten work done by Carlos and Jerry highly recommend. I want to give a huge shout out to Sean for doing my piece and portraying the look I wanted! 🤙🏼 Thanks guys!

Francisco did a great job on my newest piece to commemorate my youngest sister! It was affordable, fast, and great people. I highly recommend.

The owner of this shop is an amazing business owner. He heard of, then didn’t accept our uncomfortable experience and came in on his Sunday off to give us complimentary tattoos. Very impressed with his hospitality and will to earn our business back! Thank you so much Jason.

I went there because it showed up on Google search. I was visiting from DC. I went into the shop it was under construction and filthy! I had a concept drawing and asked if an artist was available. His response was you should have called first! He then looked at the computer screen schedule. only to tell me no one was available that day at any time and to CALL back. He didnt offer to see WHEN an artist might be available. This was all to my benefit I wound up at INSIGHT tatoo. Clean professional, respectful and exceptional artists. The opposite of Frontline and my experience.

Cool shop - I was a walk in and they took me on short notice. That was a 5/5. But $160 ( plus I threw down gratuity) for 40 minutes of touch up work? That’s ridiculous. I went there solely to support a local shop even though I didn’t know anyone in there, but when you get priced like your a tourist... no bueno. I understand shops have minimum rates but c’mon.

Saturday was my birthday and so my mom, best friend and I went over to Frontline tattoo in Oceanside for a walk in appointment, I got the artist Yngve Opaker while my mom got Clark Kent. Both were amazing, making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it and the whole shop making sure that we were okay and comfortable, the prices were perfect and my mom is especially in love with this shop after having a bad experience from a shop in Anaheim and being nervous on going to another shop ever again. I received three tattoos for now, my first was my lavender and bee piece that I put on my ankle thats fully in color and it looks way better than what I was picturing and from my reference picture. My second was the entire solar system (even Pluto) that goes down my outer forearm on the right side which turned out absolutely amazing, he drew it up beautifully and even tweaked a few things to make it perfect. Last but not least was my quote on my left upper arm right above the pit of my elbow, we picked a font we loved and was still legible and they made sure they picked the same font size as each other so it wasnt wonky looking, for this one I had him place the template on me three times before I loved the placement (I felt awful) but I appreciate him doing that as much as I can be appreciative. I definitely recommend this tattoo shop and these artist to anyone that wants a tattoo my experience was beyond perfect and I just wish I could have tipped more but my mom and I definitely will be going back.

Jerry was a great dude and great artist. Fixed a messed up tattoo and made it look a million times better. Just a cool shop to be in. Very clean and hygienic. Grade A+ quality!

In Mid-Dec. of 13 I brought my 16 yr. old daughter in to have her belly-button pierced. Jesse was very professional, direct and unassuming. He performed his work to exactness of detail and made sure that my daughter & I knew the specifics and importance of the after-work treatment. The shop is quite well decorated and the booths are roomy, also they had stated that the Mgmt. had just purchased three other salons. They planning on becoming an locally based expanding chain. We are returning there today Sat.1/4/14 to have them inspect her piercing and probably purchase another jeweled item for her to wear. I most certainly insist that any of you parents should definitely bring their teen-aged 1st timers for any piercing(s), youll be SO glad you did!

Oceanside Location:My husband & I went in ready for him to get a tattoo....the young girl in the front seemed annoyed & acted like we were bothering her, the music was so loud we couldnt even talk to her, my husband asked if she could turn it down because he couldnt hear her & she rolled her eyes & turned it down just a little, we were trying to figure out what to get, her advice to us was to go home and to go on line to see the art work....so we left, did not go on line and will NOT go back...very disappointed... why do you tell a paying customer who is in your store ready to get a tattoo & you are told to leave and look it up...no chance of us coming back....my suggestion..get an employee that wants to help your customers not turn them away..

I got a cover up on my hand. Walked in and asked to get a name just blacked out, dude suggests a wing, I say sounds good lets do it. Told me to come back an hour and a half later, i say good deal and come back an hour and a half later. Guy covers up my old one, treats me like family and sends me on my way. These guys are legit, and I love my tatt much more than a blacked out rectangle lol. Big ups to all the doggies who work this joint

Bud is absolutely A++ in art, customer service and the most gentle hand. I only come to Oceanside once a year, but I will be visiting Bud next year hands down!

I went in for my first tattoo and wanted a wolf. Yngye was patient in helping me find the right photo. Then he did a wonderful job. He is everything you would want in a tatto artist. I hope to come back soon.

Simply put, the only place you should go to get a tattoo in Oceanside. Or at the very least, if youre going to get your first tattoo, go to Frontline and youll see why this is there place to go. Pro-tip, if you have a picture or drawing of whatever you are planning on using, make sure to at least have it on your phone or can access it from your phone.

Great setup and service, talented artists. Got mine from Julian @ju_tattoos, very talented black and grey artist. Would 10/10 go back, and recommend.

Vista...HELL TO THE NO! Oceanside... YES! That guy from Vista tried to charge me 250 for a freaking simple script and had the nerve to tell me it’s what he charged one of his customers... same location, but a little more detailed. No freaking detailed whatsoever to mine and wants to charge that same amount. Hahaaaa... what A joke! I gave it a 5 for Oceanside Frontline off of the freeway. Thank you! The price and the Artists attitude is why I said YES! That other guy was cocky and a joke! Lol Vista, please shred my information. Thanks! Lol

Was very excited and booked appointment ahead of time only to be told there was not enough time after I was presented with a very generic and not at all what I wanted dreamcatcher. Didnt even talk to me before drawing, very unprofessional!

Nothing but good things to say, friendly staff and great atmosphere. I came in today for Fri the 13th and was in and out with a sick little tat by Clark within maybe 30 min. Definitely a solid place!!

This happened at the OCEANSIDE LOCATION.My boyfriend & I went into the shop to get a small tattoo in front of our ears on our face. The women at the front desk FIRST told us they do not do face tattoos. THEN proceeded to tell us that if you are not fully covered, or have hand tattoos that they will not do a face tattoo. She never asked if we had tattoos (we were both wearing hoodies & jeans) Little did she know, I have 7 large tattoos and my hands are tatted also, and my boyfriend has 10 large pieces. We felt very disrespected. We felt extremely discriminated against. She was EXTREMELY rude. Head on over to frontline tattoo if you’d like to be disrespected & judged the second you walk in.

Told me that a drawing will be ready, called me at 7 pm (which they didnt tell me what time it would be ready) went the next day and told me they didnt have the drawing because I didnt show( so they lied) once I was there, they said it would be another 5 days before they can assist me? Hmm very unprofessional

I do not want to give a bad review but my experience I had..so I went to the frontline oceanside parlor looking to get a hand tattoo and was told that unless I am fully covered that they would not tattoo my hand...i do have multiple tattoos on my forearm/ shoulder also have my leg mostly tattooed aswell..they told me that the hand tattoo was a job stopper which I do understand...but I told them that the job I work has no restrictions on tattoos and its something I wanted to get.. they then told me that a man with face tattoos recently came in and they also denied him a hand tattoo which in my opinion makes no sense..so after them telling me that most tattoo shops wont tattoo your hand unless your fully covered, I called the frontline in vista and gave them the same scenario, told them the tattoos I have and they told me to come on in and that thats what they are here for is to tattoo us and what we want to get, which Is how I feel it should be. So I just found it funny that the oceanside frontline wouldnt tattoo me, but the vista frontline will.. same business different policies?

Have gotten 4 tattoos done here all with different artists over the last 2 years and have never been dissatisfied with the price or outcome and usually are available for walkins although weekends tend to be much more packed parking is limited in front of the shop
