These tattoos are just bad 1. They are exact copies of the reference I showed upon getting the tattoos beside the fact him telling me he was gonna “change them up” 2. When I asked for him to move the stencil he VISIBLY got mad bc I didn’t like where it was. That should never never happen and is a huge red flag this is my tattoo and it’s gonna be on my body not yours. If you’re looking for professionalism this is not the place I believe everyone here is “self taught” from what I’ve heard. There’s a different between someone who is self taught and someone who actually took time and effort to learn tattoo styles, technique and the value behind not copying someone else’s art work down to the picture it’s supposed to be a “reference” for a reason. I had gotten other tattoos by a professional done BEFORE getting these done here these are fading so much they’re way more faded than the tattoos I’d gotten done before. I decided to try someone who was close by rather than having to drive to Va beach every time I wanted a tattoo. Won’t be making that mistake again.

I got a tat and loved it. Scheduled another one in 3 weeks and wanted to bring a friend for his first tat, however the experience between 1st appt and this one was night and day. Was canceled on with an hour of our appt (keep in mind my friend declined overtime and drove from Richmond for our appt) and was told the apprentice could do it at full price but was not given a time to come in. My messages went completely ignored by both Maurice and his assistant. It’s a shame because I wanted to give this place a lot of my business and referrals but after being canceled and ignored on top of that I will not be back! Handled very unprofessional and tacky!

Can’t keep his schedule straight. I messaged him about a tattoo and we talked and he scheduled me for 2 weeks later. The night before he messaged me and asked what I was getting again so I had to resend it then he asked to see a picture of the small tattoo I wanted to be covered by the new one. The morning of he asked me if I could come an hour later and I was fine with that then an hour before I was suppose to go in he messaged me and wanted to reschedule again for a different day. He then told me he had to change up the design of my tattoo and when I asked by how much or what had to be changed he just left me on opened.I’ve gotten a tattoo by him before and wasn’t too happy about it but wasn’t too disappointed either. I got an angel tattoo and the wings are Obviously different sizes and the lines are crooked. I guess he only takes pictures of the tattoos he doesn’t mess up. You have a 50/50 chance w his work having mistakes or not.

I had such an amazing experience with Morgan. By far the best tattoo I have. Getting a new one today and cannot wait to go!

They dont answer their social media messages in a timely manner. I got one Tat earlier this year and I ended up waiting 30 minutes or more after my scheduled appointment. Then I schedule another tat drive a HOUR and the shop is closed and they not responding to my messages. I try to support black businesses but stuff like this really ticks me off!!! Go elsewhere!!!

Maurice is great and his shop is very clean. He even took the time to make sure that my son who is special needs understood everything and loved his tattoo.

Absolutely world class studio, and Maurice does excellent work. Very professional, talented and courteous. Highly recommended.
