My mom and I did walkin tattoos with Thomas aka “Poindexter” and had an amazing experience!!! Dex was very attentive and a genuinely sweet guy. He was also very light handed and had some mad skillz!!! The environment was very welcoming and clean. The whole gang was extremely cool and supportive. We cannot recommend Dex and Classic Tattoo more!!! Thank you!!!

Went in today to get my Medusa and nose done ! I already got my eyebrow done by Simon so I know how good he was already, but it always surprises me how fast he is! I love love my new additions! Thanks so much Simon

Came here with my friends earlier today, we all three did walk-ins for piercings, simon was amazing at piercing, i got my nose and eyebrow pierced and it went by smooth and easily. he was kind and so was the tattoo artist there, they both were funny and kept the experiences lighthearted. would recommend!

My normal piercer wasnt available today, so I checked out classic tattoo. Got in and out super fast for a nose piercing. The piercer picked the best spot for it. Very nice man. I recommend them for sure!

Thomas (AKA Poindexter) did an amazing job on my tattoo! It was my first tattoo ever and I was extremely nervous, but he made the whole experience very comfortable for me. He is such a talented and creative artist, and I will definitely being coming back to him for future tattoos!

Showed up with no appointment to get my 17 year old daughter’s ear pierced. While waiting for her to meet me I talked with one of the tattoo artists and he showed me his migraine piercing, I ended up getting that done for myself & Simon (the piercer) was super nice. He was quick and efficient, and didn’t pressure us to buy expensive jewelry. We will definitely be back!

My friends and I showed up to get a small simplistic tattoo and were immediately given the worst customer service. The first tattoo artist barely said hello, they weren’t even busy, and they immediately turned us down without hearing how small and simple our tattoos were. They could have said “oh yeah we are totally booked today but let me see what we have available the next couple of days.” That would have been a perfectly reasonable response. Yet we felt like we were pushed out the door.

Tom did my work, came in for the first time with a concept in mind to add to an existing tattoo and he refined it and made it perfect. Very friendly and talkative, clean shop, will 100% be going back.

First time getting a tattoo with Clinton Burks. I was extremely impressed with how clean the place was. He was constantly cleaning his tools and disinfecting everything before using it. Clinton was extremely detailed and took his time coming up with a tattoo that fit my description.Every worker made me feel welcomed and was extremely kind. This was my first time going here. I went in for a nose piercing, actually this was my second one, the first one was not done at this shop. He did a much better job with my piercing than I had with my first one barely hurt at all and he was so friendly and explained everything. I worked with Dart to get this memorial tattoo finished Friday evening 5/22. I had gotten the outline completed back on 3/14 and the pandemic lockdown kept me from getting it finished. Dart was awesome! As soon as he was able to open back up, he got me right in and finished this wonderful piece of art up for me. Had a cover up done here about a year ago and the artist was amazing. Ended up here a couple weeks ago on a whim to get my nose pierced and they were so helpful and understanding as this was my first non-ear hole. Was in and out in less than 20 minutes with a brand new sparkle on my face. Highly recommended!

Was in there a week ago and had gotten 2 piercings from Simon. He was very professional and I am so happy with my piercings. Had some swelling and called in to question about switching to a longer bar and he had me come in and switched them right out for me and it was emediate relief. He is so nice and will always return here for any future piercings and I will be referring everyone to go to him for their own.

Received 2 piercings a couple of years ago with some friends, the piercer was quick, very friendly, and they healed wonderfully! My friends and I went back to change the jewelry, the same guy was there and he was again, very friendly and very quick!

Went with my Mom and sister, who also got piercings. Got a tragus piercing. Simon the piercer and owner of the shop was super amazing. So friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and made sure we understood the aftercare instructions. And the shop is beautiful and very modern looking. But most importantly, it was immaculately clean. Stopped by on a Friday afternoon and Clinton had time to give me a sweet tattoo. Clinton was a great artist and super chill. He did a great job on size and placement and the second-skin bandage he put on afterword made healing so much cleaner and faster. Ill definitely be back for more!

The piercer was super nice and straight forward and I was out of there in under 20 minutes!! I can see myself going there again

Few weeks back, I had my belly pierced here. Everything went okay and I had good experience. My experience turned into nightmare when I realized few days later when my belly button ring was getting pulled on my skin ( top of the belly) I was in great amount of pain because of that. After the constant pain for 7 days I ordered 16mm long stem titanium belly ring and ever since it has been better and my piercing is finally healing. My complaint is, I was asked to show my belly and did the measuring before my piercing. I have deep navel so the person should have at least given a longer stem or have small length piercing done on me. The afterward pain just turned my experience bad

My sister and I got our noses pierced together today and we had an amazing experience! Simon was very professional, knowledgeable, kind, and quick (since he knew how nervous we were). He explained the piercing process and healing process in depth and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Simon is fantastic at what he does! When my teenage daughter wanted to get her nose pierced, I knew for sure he was the one I could trust. She was very nervous and he made the experience great for her! He was friendly and reassuring. He calmly explained everything he was doing, yet somehow managed to have the whole thing done so quickly that she didnt have time to flinch! He made sure she understood the aftercare instructions and let her know she could come to him if she had any questions later. The shop is clean and sanitation is clearly the high priority that it should be. I highly recommend Simon if youre looking for a new piercing!

Loved this place, service was very quick I was in and out in 15 minutes, I got an eyebrow piercing, its only been a few days, but Im loving it! I think the bar or whatever is maybe a little small, but I dont know, just its kinda healing in a way where its kind of getting embedded in my skin but idk if thats just because of swelling or not. Still love how it looks! But I fr kinda wanna know if it needs a longer bar or not

I had a great experience getting a tattoo from Dart! He was super friendly and non-judgmental which I appreciated a lot. My tattoo looks amazing. It’s a pretty simple ocean wave and he got me in and out in under 30 minutes. I would absolutely recommend Classic Tattoo and will be returning myself for any future tattoos.

I got a nose piercing here. They were nice and professional. Place had a good atmosphere and was obviously well cleaned.The piercing turned out really well. I don’t know if it’s luck or skill, probably a mix of both, but I have not had any pain with my nostril piercing. No swelling, no blood or crust. It’s been less than a week and while I know it’s not healed yet, it’s moving along quite smoothly.Piercing placement was nice, actual process of piercing was quick and nearly painless, body jewelry included is surgical stainless steel.Would go again!

Dart redid a piercing done somewhere else, Id gone after it was fully healed and he was able to do that for me for a very reasonable price given his years of experience and the orderliness of the shop. It was just another day for him and that settled any nerves I had.Havent had any tattoos here, so I cant speak to that, but the other man in the shop was very polite when we spoke in passing, and they seemed to keep the place very clean as well.

Cleanliness was a huge plus and so was kindness and courtesy.However, I simply went in to get a first hole piercing done on both of my ears due to mine closing years ago- pretty standard, and they charged me about 85 dollars. Seems pretty steep for something extremely simple and for fake earrings.The piercer was however very kind and the facility was spacious- but ask about pricing prior before they just take your card and charge you.

Went to get my belly button pierced and Simon was super nice and easy on me after I explained my anxiety about needles. He made sure I was okay afterwards and made the experience good. I’ve had the piercing for four days now and haven’t had any trouble or irritation/pain with it. Recommend going here :)

My daughter and I both got piercings. He was fabulous. Very professional very nice, and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He explained how to perform after care for each of us.My daughter then went over to tattooist who was so kind professional and very very good. Im going today to make the 1 1/2 hour trip just to make the deposit to get my next tattoo. Thats how impressed I was with both men!!

This is the second time weve taken our teenager to Simon for piercings. This time she got her nose and doubles pierced. I highly recommend this over places that use a gun, this is much more hygienic than those places that use a gun. They are very skilled and it is super quick!

I went to Simon for a septum piercing because he had great reviews and a ton of experience. I understand that septum piercings are considered one of the hardest, even for the most experienced, but the piercing I got was super crooked. I didn’t even notice until I got home because it was so off it looked like the jewelry itself was just crooked. He didn’t use a guide like the ones I’ve seen other piercers use for the septum, so one side was significantly lower and farther back than the other. I ended up going somewhere else to get it taken out the next day, and the piercer there said that I should never have been charged for it and that I should have been told it was crooked instead of figuring it out myself. I’m sure Simon is great for other piercings, just not the septum. Otherwise the shop was clean and professional.

Trinity is an amazing artist! My friend and I visited several shops looking for the right one a few weeks ago and when we walked in to Classic Tattoo, it was extremely clean, well organized, and inviting. Trinity greeted us as he was finishing up another tattoo. When he was done we consulted with him about what we wanted. He listened, got reference photos gave us quotes (right price range), and we decided to set an appointment. Fast forward to today for our appointment. We could not be more pleased with the result. Trinitys artistry is top notch. He is a great conversationalist and has great taste in music too. We will be back! The picture was taken just 2 hours after and I cannot wait to see how much more amazing it looks when it is healed.

I tried to go on a Saturday evening for an eyebrow piercing but they were packed like a mf. I went the next morning and even though I couldnt get my daughter eyebrow pierced because she needed a State ID, I got mine pierced and I love it so far. The staff was nice and I was out the door fast. Ill be back once I get that ID for my daughter.

My friend and I wanted to get piercings (her nostril and me my septum). I googled a few shops and found this one. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcomed. The staff is professional and the shop is clean. The guy who pierced us (sorry, can’t remember his name) was helpful and did an amazing job on both of our piercings. The price is very reasonable as well. All in all, I can highly recommend this shop.

First of all i would like to say this place is not as professional towards minorities. First we go in and there is a white lady who is already getting her nose pierced, she finished he ask card or cash and then he says 10 for the service and 20 for the hoop so 30 dollars. then comes up to me and says he needs a smoke break which is fine, comes back out and ask for my payment immediately before the service but (didn’t for the girl in front of us) didn’t even tell me the total just took my card and charged me $41 instead of 30. that’s is a big red flag on treating people differently and i should of said something but would never go back there. wouldn’t recommend to any colored people. the tattoo artist was nicer but they shouldn’t take money from the customer before the service, especially if that didn’t for two other white females.

Dart and Simon are simply awesome. They are down-to-earth and so friendly, besides the fact that they are stellar artists. Dart is phenomenal. I talked with him about an idea I had, he gave me some suggestions from an artistic point of view, I came back with a few pics, put a deposit down, we talked again and he was off and running with a design. His artwork is intricate and unique. It’s not just run-of-the mill. He can do anything, and I mean anything, you put in front of him. He’s quick on top of that.The shop is simply beautiful!! It’s open and bright, clean and inviting. On top of that, it’s in a great location with Starbucks, Fuzzy Tacos and other great places within walking distance. Go see them!! You will be so happy you did!!!

Walked in today wanting my belly pierced. Immediately I noticed the place was clean and neat. Guys were super helpful! The guy who did my piercing was very polite and informative. Loved how quick and easy the piercing was. I was in and out. If i could give higher than five stars i would! I would totally recommend piercings from this place!

I came here to get my septum pierced. The guys at the shop were super nice, and I felt very welcome! However, after I got it done, I knew something wasn’t right. The piercing kept flipping upwards on its own. I went to another piercer, and he told me the piercing was in the middle of my septum and was crooked. I had to get the piercing taken out to wait for it to heal before I can get it pierced again. Again, the guys at the shop were so kind, but I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

Simon is amazing! I’ve gotten my belly button and my nose pierced from him!! Every time he always makes sure I’m comfortable before starting the piercing and every time he gives me amazing after care instructions! Every time I get a piercing from now on I’ll go back here for Simon!!

The new shop is great!! Clean, friendly atmosphere, very reasonable prices, and both Dart & Simon are great guys. Dart is my sole tattoo artist, and the guy is a genius with a pen. Ive had him do several, and they ALWAYS get lots of comments on the street. I will be making many return visits.

Walked in without a tattoo, walked out with one. Was greeted immediately, showed my idea of what I wanted. They worked with me to get my design and the size correct and it was just what I wanted! They were so nice and friendly, and the price was actually reasonable! Definitely will be going back!

Went in yesterday and was kind of nervous... immediately greeted by an awesome group! Made me feel comfortable and very welcomed. Dart asked me what I wanted and I showed him a picture (of course of the internet), he created me an authentic and unique piece! He colored in the piece the way that I loved and meant something to me! It turned out better than I ever imagined that it could!He was so kind, patient and very professional! My father came with me and really enjoyed the professional yet funny staff so much that he is going to schedule his own appointment!I would recommend this place to all friends and plan on getting more done soon!

Great tattoo parlor! Beautiful work. Angel was very concerned with making sure everything was perfect. She is also good at chatting with you if you need a distraction (like my friend did) but not being annoyingly chatty. They can do thin line tattoos which is hard to find. Location was clean and not dark or gloomy. I highly recommend using Classic Tattoo and Body Piercing.

Clinton helped come up with a great tattoo concept. He took time out of his day to sketch and send us photos. He was incredibly responsive to our feedback and implemented it perfectly. My tattoo looks exactly how I pictured it.

Came here a few days ago & got my Monroe done... Piercer was cool, the shop was clean. However, I noticed today that the disk on the back of the stud was cutting into my lip & I had no more room for swelling. I walked in explaining my issue & asked to get a longer stud put into my lip.. Was told that new jewelry was a bad idea & to take pain meds/ice it (which Ive been doing)... I ended up going to a place in Westport that had put in a longer bar for me. People seem cool here & all but the guy I talked to today seemed hella rude when I explained what was wrong & didnt offer to even look at it. I definitely would have preferred to talk to my piercer but I didnt want to be rude and ask for him instead.

Friendly, professional staff, and a very clean shop. Super knowledgeable. Simon has been piercing for a looooong time, and it shows. The only person Id trust to poke holes in me. Hes my kinda Geezer.

Called around noon asking about walk in availability and Clinton said around 4:00 would work. We got there a few minutes before 4:30, which was after 4:00 but definitely still in the range of around 4:00. Clinton was extremely rude when we got there. We told him we called about a walk in and all he said was, “it’s gone,” and dismissed us. The whole demeanor and vibe was just way off and very rude and unwelcoming. After meeting them, I wouldn’t want to be tattooed by them anyways, I wouldn’t recommend.

I got my doubles back in May and absolutely fell in love with the shop I’m a super anxious person and Simon was so calm an quick. I came back for my first tattoo and Dart was just as awesome! Best place to go especially for your first tattoo!

I was first pierced by Simon back in 1991. I was one of his first tragus piercings. I still have this piercing today. Simon has been a trusted piercer in the KC community for over 20 years. I have trusted him with my childrens ears, eye brows and noses. He has a gentle touch and quality aftercare. Even though he is my brother I reccomend him to friends and family without hesitation.

Made an appointment for a piercing and the guy didn’t seem to know why I was there when I arrived. He charged me more than the website listed. Had to sign something that I received written care instructions but I never did. He was working on someone else before me. He never washed his hands, I hoped at the time that he had been wearing gloves. He didn’t open any equipment in front of me. And here we are three weeks later and I have an infection despite taking care of it. I’ve never had an infected tattoo or piercing until now.

I highly recommend classic tattoo and body piercing! Simon is the best, he even helped me when my nose piercing closed up. He was very kind about it and considerate. This business is very clean and very professional.

I am so in love with my experience here. I wanted to get my left Helix redone after having it done in 2016 and it was so fast so clean painless. He was even able to get the gauge that I was requesting and it was just amazing. If I do decide to get more piercings this is where Im going to come.

Jj did amazing work! My friend and I both got tattoos done by him and he was so gentle! The environment was super friendly and our tattoos turned out better than we imagined them! The cleanliness was on-point too!

I got a conch piercing done December 12th. I was given an option of a ring or stud; I was told the healing would be the same and a ring wouldn’t cause issues. It got infected about 5 days later and I ended up taking it out because it was so painful, and the ring was bumping everything. I thought it was a fluke and went back on February 13th to get it pierced again. Explained that I have a compromised immune system, this has never happened before and my doctors are OK with me getting pierced. This time, I was told that a ring isn’t good for healing. I paid a second time. Piercer went from smoking a cigarette to handling cash, and then right to piercing me. I never saw any hand washing. It has been 5 days and it is again infected, swollen and painful. I even cleaned it 6 times a day, and was careful about everything. I am on immunosuppressant medications and although I’ve never had issues with healing piercings or tattoos, infections can be extremely dangerous for me. I have 4 tattoos and 6 piercings (not counting this one). So I’m out $80 and a hospital bill if it doesn’t clear up with what I have at home.Extremely disappointed.

Dart is a badass, I could tell just from talking to him about the design that he knew what he was doing. Super clean, fast, and exactly what I wanted for an extremely reasonable price. This guy is scary good, hes been doing this 29 years and experience counts. I will never go anywhere else. Looking forward to getting more work done ASAP and super confident it will be just as good.

I’m extremely disappointed. I got my nose pierced by Simon and while he appeared very knowledgeable, I am finding out the hard way that he actually gave me some awful aftercare advice (told me to use dial soap which I have learned is actually too harsh) that I believe has led to an irritation bump. He also only had one type of stud (L shaped) which I also found out could be causing my issue because of how much it moves around. Was not warned of this at all. On top of that, he has not been helpful in resolving this awful looking piercing. So I will be going to another shop to get the jewelry replaced and the placement evaluated.

Got a daith and snug done at the same time in the same ear. The piercer (Simon) was extremely patient with me because of the pain, and it being in the same area. He also thought due to the anatomy of my ear the the snug would look better if pierced at an angle. Since it is now mostly healed (pierced June 6th, 2020), I have already changed the jewelry into a piece more suitable. IT LOOKS FANTASTIC. The daith on the other hand needs to have the ring changed out because the ring used in the initial piercing is too tight to change out.

One of the few places in the area that I could find that do Duke piercings. Simon was friendly and professional. His years of experience are obvious. The shop is clean and has a really neat vibe. I will most definitely be going back!

Called at 4:15pm today (Sunday) and spoke with an individual who stated that they were open. I said I was less than 15 minutes away and needed to buy an earring for a piercing. I arrived at 4:26 and the store was CLOSED! Lights off closed. What a waste of time. Be honest next time!

I came in and had it done in 15 minutes. Paperwork takes the most time, i got 2 peircings and they were super fast and easy. The guys working there are so nice and will do exactly what you ask. Will be coming back here for more peircings. :)

Simon is the best at piercings! I’ve gotten all my ear piercings, nose, and belly button. But my ears are pieces of work. If you are new to piercings, he is definitely a must.

I went in wanting to get my first tattoo ever....met JJ and booked me in for 4:15pm. He knew exactly what I wanted without me showing the picture. JJ was very chill and patient with me since I’m deaf so that was a bonus! Will recommend this place and I’m definitely coming back when I’m ready for a second tattoo!

I went here because it had great reviews. I went in for a daith and nose piercing. My daith piercing is healing up well, however my nose piercing had to be taken out today because of how bad it has healed. I have had many piercings before so I know how to take care of them. My piercing started sinking a couple of days ago, was swelling around the stud (so much that the piercing would disappear into my nose), and bleeding every time I cleaned it. I feel this was due to the fact that both of piercings were done in just under 10 minutes and were rushed. I went somewhere else for advice and the piercer said it looked like my nose had just been pierced in the last few days rather than over a month ago. I’m so sad because I loved the piercing at first but now I’m hoping and praying that I don’t have a permanent scar or tissue damage on my nose. I wish some more time and care had been taken when piercing my nose.

I had JJ touch up a tattoo I had originally gotten from another place I wasnt satisfied with. He did an awesome job at correcting those flaws the original artist made. I had nothing but great experiences during this visit and will definitely go back in the future for additional tattoos.

I went a few weeks ago to get my industrial done. I went to this location because it was the closest even though their piercing cost was so much more than other places I’ve been and asked. I’m very disappointed with how my piercing was place, it’s more vertical than horizontal other than that everyone was kind but I believe the piercer should you you were he is going to stick you before he does it!!!

Called to ask about getting a nose piercing the guy was EXTREMELY rude and hung up in my face most piercers are scared to pierce the nose with a hoop because people keloid but I don’t and the guy that normally does my piercings was out. Please be respectful to future customers.

First time getting a tattoo in a shop, and it was great, everyone is really chill and nice, Jj did my tattoo and Simone did my peircings for my birthday, the tattoo came out better than I thought and I love my peircings, definitely will be going back and telling all my friends to go here.

Got my septum done at this shop today, the ring was pierced way too low and into my cartilage, bleeding profusely and it hurt excruciatingly when being installed. Had to go to another shop to have it removed and a new one installed.
