UpTown Tattoo has been my forever tattoo spot since June of 2020. An ex introduced me to Luke, and ever since - he’s been the man for me!Every tattoo experience has been more than pleasant, every member of the staff that I’ve encountered has always been friendly and fun. I’ve never walked in feeling intimidated or looked down on. Luke KILLS it every time with every tattoo I’ve received. He can take my babbling ideas and turn them into the most beautiful art & is so cooperative, kind and understanding.I recently had to do a last minute cancellation with Luke (because life) and he was extraordinarily understanding. He never asked for compensation, but I still sent money his way because his time is very valuable, he’s always been willing to work with me & last moment cancelations suck - so I wanted to try to cover some of the ground he may have lost from that day**I’m sharing this just to further show how much I enjoy this shop & the hard work they do.**I receive compliments daily on the work Luke has done for me & i always walk out of the shop feeling more confident and beautiful (and slightly in pain 😂 ) than when I walk in. Uptown tattoo will be my go to shop until I’m too old and saggy to be tattooed anymore.

I was a walk-in later in the evening and was helped right away. Edhi agreed to give me three piercings and walked me through the various jewelry types and colors on offer. He was very meticulous and took his time with the placement of my piercings, since I was getting two symmetrical pairs with one older piercing. I am incredibly happy with my new additions and will definitely be back for more! (Hope you had a happy birthday, Edhi!)

I live out of town but every so often I take a trip up to Oxford to get tattoo work done at uptown. Luke has been an artist I know I can rely on, is fair, has a great approach to his work and communication. Overall place has welcomed me in with warm vibes and the staff is cool as hell. Would recommend to anybody who can make the drive, a fun college town as well!

Luke does the best Tattoo’s! I wouldn’t let anyone else ink me! If you need piercings Ehdi is your guy! I can nit say enough about Uptown Tattoo! They are the best!!

I got my first tattoo here and have never stopped coming back! The staff is super welcoming and accommodating. Luke has been tattooing me for about two years now and I have never had a bad experience. They do whatever possibly to make you comfortable and play whatever music you like. I would 10/10 recommend coming here. I have always left with a smile on my face.

Shelby was super great! Went in for my first tattoo, was nervous but she made me feel at ease and gave me just what I wanted.Edit- went back to see Shelby again for my second tattoo (the thistle) and just really love the work that she did!

Ive gotten piercings with Ehdi and a tattoo with Luke, I love this place. Theyre really trans and disabled friendly. Its physically inaccessible (theres a flight of stairs when you come in) but theyll accommodate a lot. Ive never had an issue with them about me being trans, even when I was getting a tattoo on my chest. Both Ehdi and Luke are awesome if youre nervous, they talk you through everything and theyll answer any questions, even if you think theyre silly. Theyre great people and the only ones Ill go to!!

I have gone to Uptown Tattoo & Piercings 6 times and will continue to come back! The atmosphere is exactly what you would want it to be when getting a tattoo or piercing and all of the artists are always so kind, welcoming, and patient. I personally go to Luke and he does nothing short of making sure im comfortable and making sure the design is exactly how I want it before we even start (and has no issues tweaking it if it isnt). I am beyond pleased with the results every time I walk out of this shop!

Luke has been my tattoo guy for a long time, he now does my Moms & my brothers! My brother is autistic and he was very patient with him and walked him through his whole tattoo process. My brother has been back since and has gotten more tattoos by Luke! Edhi has done all of my piercings except 1, hes AMAZING. He walked me through them all, very clean and professional. The whole staff at uptown is AMAZING, they all are so kind, professional and the place is very clean. 10/10 recommend!

Great place love both my tattoos Ive gotten from them always quote me great pricing and both my artists jon and Luke were great my piercer eddy was great when i got my belly buttone done , everyone was great conversationalist the whole time!! ❤️❤️fiancé has also always had a great turn out with his work will def be calling again soon

I have gone to Luke for about 5 years now and he has done all of my tattoos. I will never go to anyone else for a tattoo. Ehdi has also done all of my piercings and they all have looked and healed great! Overall, I have had a wonderful experience at the shop and wouldn’t go anywhere else

I’ve been getting tattooed by Luke for a little over year and he is absolutely amazing. He does so good with my tattoos and makes the environment so relaxing. I’ve also been pierced by Ehdi and he does amazing with the process and makes it such a relaxing experience. I recommend them to everyone I know who says they want a tattoo or piercing!!

Luke has been my tattoo artist for 5 years now and I have loved every piece I have gotten. Always very responsive when I am booking an appointment and talks out the design process with me which is wonderful! I could not highly recommend this place enough, I have taken all of my friends here and will continue to do so.

My tattoo artist Luke is amazing. I’ve gone to him for every tattoo and he never disappoints. Would definitely recommend and continue to go to him for my future tattoos. I consider him a good friend even if I only see him to get a tattoo. Can’t wait to go back and get more work done.

All of my friends and I have been going to uptown for a while now and everyone there is so helpful and friendly! I’ve never left disappointed thanks to all the staff and especially Luke (my favorite Tattoo artiest!) Very creative and hard working people! Would 10/10 Recommend for anyone looking for a new tattoo or piercing shop!

Absolutely THE BEST tat/piercing shop! The shop is professional, extremely clean and comfortable. The staff is fenominal, super friendly, compitant and easily calms any nervousness one may have. This is where I received my very first tat/piercing and after my latest visit, it will be the ONLY PLACE I go! Highly recommended! Stop in and see for yourself.

I’ve gotten four tattoos by Luke and a bunch of piercings by Ehdi. So far i’ve only had positive experiences, everyone that i’ve talked to has been super kind and helpful, they always do a great job. The shop always gives good vibes and it’s honestly so worth it to go.

Luke at Uptown has been my go to artist for 4 years! I live out of state now but anytime Im in Ohio, I stop in & bring everyone I know here because theyre super professional, friendly, & always do great work. atmosphere is immaculate- they always listen to me and work with my needs, which isnt always easy to find at tattoo shops.

This place is the absolute best! I have gotten all of my tattoos done by Luke and he is a total badass and does the best work. All of the employees are great people who have amazing vibes. There’s no other place that does it like Uptown Tattoo.

The piercer here is amazing! I got my vertical labret done at a different place 4 days ago and I wasn’t pierced with a long enough bar, and it started to try to embed. He changed it the same day I called, and it was pretty painless. He was also very kind and clean. I know where I’ll be getting my future piercings :).

Came in for a walk in and was done in less than two hours, had a great time and got an awesome tattoo

Over the weekend, saw Luke for my 2nd tattoo. He was great!! Will definitely go back for my next one.The entire process was perfect. From going in to schedule the appointment to getting the work done...great service and quality work.

My cousin had been raving about this place for awhile and I finally decided to get me helix done there. One, the place looks awesome! Two, everyone was very nice. I got my helix done by Ehdi. I highly recommend going to him. Not only did he explain everything very well he spent a lot of time making it perfect. He also made it a very calm environment even though you’re nervous. I didn’t even remember that I was nervous to be honest with you. I’ve had no issues with the healing process so far and I will defiantly be going back to get more.

I got a tattoo from John Starr today at Uptown. This is my third tattoo and by far the fastest and most enjoyable experience I’ve had. The whole time he took utmost care to make sure I was comfortable and felt prepared to get it. He was charismatic, funny, and just all around a great guy. Not only did he do a lip tattoo for the studio minimum (which most places either up charged for or just wouldn’t do), he touched up a few points on an older tattoo quickly as well. All of the staff were friendly, definitely recommend anyone to go here!

I took my daughter there for ear piercing and EHDI was amazing! He talked through everything he was going to do and made her feel at ease. He is very professional and everything was very sanitary and clean. A wonderful experience!

I’ve gotta all 8 of my tattoos done by Luke and I wouldn’t trust anyone else! Have had great experiences ever time i go in for an appointment!

I have gotten multiple piercings from Ehdi. He always does great work! Their shop is very clean and professional. Ehdi fixed my incorrectly pierced conch about a year ago and it healed perfectly! Today, my roommate and I went back for two piercings each. We had a wonderful experience. Ehdi is extremely kind and great at what he does. He makes the experience comfortable and fun. Definitely recommend him for any piercings you want to get.

Had my nose pierced by Edhi. I was definitely apprehensive but he took his time and explained everything he was doing. Everything was clean and sterile and I absolutely love my piercing. He did it exactly as I asked and I have had no issues with the piercing. Highly recommend for any piercing needs.

The best tattoo shop in the area. The staff are professional, courteous and friendly. The artwork is second to none.If you’re looking for Star Wars tattoos, John Starr is amazing at them! You can tell that he really loves Star Wars.

Me and my friend got matching tattoos from John Starr, for our very first tattoos. I gotta say I was pretty nervous , and John was such an awesome funny spirit to be around. I was so comfortable I felt like it was my happy place lol definitely wanna go back for more. My tattoo was so clean, very well done. I really couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

Ive gotten 4 ear piercings and my septum done here. The guy Ehdi is really chill and kind and I would say its a good place! I have no opinion on the tattoo aspect of it.

I went here this evening to get my lobes repierced. Ive had rotten luck the last two times Ive tried just because the piercing was out of place, botched, etc. I went in as a walk-in, and was seen quickly. All I can say is that Eddy was WONDERFUL. He answered all of my questions and was kind through the whole process. It turned out that my ears hadnt closed all the way, so there was little he had to do as far as piercing, but I needed the steel because of an allergy. He ended up only charging me for the studs ($20 total) and a $5 service fee; he refused to take anything for actually piercing. He is an honest and fair guy. I cant recommend him highly enough. Ill definitely go back to him should I decide to get more piercings in the future.

This my third tattoo experience and by far the very best. John was outstanding, professional and creative, not to mention hilarious. He drew exactly what I envisioned, turning my rambling ideas to what I have been waiting for. It looks totally healed after only 24 hours. I look forward to coming back for more.

Its actually Sabrina hawley, but I seen EDHI for my piercings and he was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend to go see him for your piercing needs!!

I went in to get my industrial piercing looked at and it turns out it was not done correctly by another studio that did it, he took me right in and fixed me up for a very cheap price. Definitely very thankful for this place. 10/10 recommended
