Mad Tattoo and Piercing

If I could give this review zero stars I would, because it doesnt even deserve ONE. My experience here was terrible from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, the piercer and cashier was yelling and cussing at me because I didn’t hear him call my name at first. Additionally, the piercer made sexual jokes, which made me feel very uncomfortable from the beginning even though I tried my best to just be cool about it. They took my money before even explaining that the piercing I wanted was something they wouldn’t do. When I politely asked to see where the dots were before getting pierced, he became hostile and argued with me instead of simply honoring my request. The situation became so uncomfortable that I refused the service, but they then refused to give me my money back. It escalated to the point where I had to call the police due to how hostile he was speaking to me. To make matters worse, they tried to lie to the police and flip the situation back on me, despite the fact that I had been patient and polite throughout the entire ordeal. This place is unprofessional, misleading, and UNSAFE. I strongly advise against coming here.

I got my navel pierced here yesterday. They put a CBR piercing in and put it up way too high. I put in another belly piercing in and it hardly fits. I got my nose pierced here a month ago and i think they did a fine job. but just please come here for nose piercings I don’t recommend getting your navel pierced here.

Went here for my 18th Birthday, i got my septum peirced. I walked in and they got me right in, the place was clean, and had a nice vibe. The man who did my peircing was chill. The peircing was quick, it did hurt quite a bit but thays because my idiot self moved and he had to pop it thrugh the other side. Oops. The woman at the desk that checks you in was kind of rude, no customer service. My dad was talking to the big boss, sounded chill. My only ick is that the peircer said to wash the septum with soap. Not a good choice as it can dry out the peircing and slow the healing(use saline). Otherwise great!!! Will be back.

I went to mad studios to get a the surface piercing over the weekend . Mind you I am not living in Peoria just visiting. Anyway , the piecing was $50 plus the jewelry . The cashier never recommended any other jewelry besides the one they offer . However , my jewelry is now suck in . I went to place in Chicago and they told me that the piercer did not give me the right jewelry and now I have to pay an additional $90 for the bar and $15 for the installation. Over all MADIO STUDOS SUCK! I called and they were no help

While switching out my jewelry, the piercer leaned forwards and made a little more contact with my knees than I would have liked (Im talking below the belt pressed up against my knees). I understand that he needed to look at my piercing more closely. It would have been more professional to ask me to lean closer to him or ask me to change how I was sitting. It made me uncomfortable, and I will not be back.

We love this place. Brought my daughter here for numerous piercings over the years, had one done here myself. We love the guy who does the piercings very nice guy who does a great job. Highly recommend

I wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my sisters life. Travis took care of us from start to finish. Clean place, friendly and fun people, Travis is an excellent artist. Already planning my next one. Thanks man.

Idk just a small suggestion, but it’d be BEAUTIFUL if at least 1 day out of the week this place OPENED & CLOSED at the LISTED HOURS smh

My friend and I went in to get a nose piercing and septum piercing. She got her nose pierced at Mad three years ago and it healed great and she still loves it, she’s gotten two tattoos there, and had her piercing changed there a couple times, so that’s why we went back. Just to be honest, when we first got in the guy who greeted us seemed a little annoyed which worried me, but after telling him what we wanted and filling out and signing the forms, he told us sorry, he was just having a rough day. After that he was very nice and chill, and answered my questions. My biggest question was whether I should get a stud or hoop, because I really wanted a hoop but I’ve heard a stud is better to get first for a proper healing process. He said yes that is true and explained why. I’m glad he was honest and didn’t just let me do whatever. I didn’t catch his name but he’s a cool dude :) Joe pierced our noses today and was the one who pierced my friends nose three years ago, and he is so so friendly and cool. I didn’t feel nervous or uncomfortable at any point. We were in and out quick but still taken care of. I would totally come back! We didn’t have to make an appointment for the piercings either, when I called ahead they said to just come on in. Not sure about for tattoos though. And just a heads up, there’s a sign on their door that says absolutely no kids aloud, so don’t bring your kids :) But other than that, they’ll have you taken care of.

Looks rinkadink af-but I paid less than expected, the guy was chill and knew what he was doing & its been almost a year and Ive had no issues. Would go back!

My friend had gotten her nose pierced over the weekend and accidentally ripped it out in her sleep. We came here because we go to college in Peoria, the staff were so sweet and she was so worried about passing out but it was quick, and didnt hurt a bit! We love the staff, the price was only $5, and well be coming back for tattoos someday 😉

The whole process of getting my nose and ears pierced I was talked too, kept calm and it was fairly cheap for all 3 piercings: It is a clean building, with experienced and welcoming staff. Would recommend more than someone like Claire’s that does a needle gun, at Mad Studios they use a hollow needle and it is a lot easier too handle the pain during the process this way.

Took my daughter to get her ears pierced. The funniest thing happened. She couldnt get up chair the 1st time. Super hilarious. But it was a good time. Im about to get my cover up another cover up. Talked to the artist & he said he could do it. Super excited about it. But it was definitely a good experience. Ill definitely be back

The young lady at the front desk has no kind of customer service experience. She isnt knowledgeable about anything and has the audacity to act short with you when youre a customer inquiring about their services. This was the worst experience ever!!!!! Now Im from Chicago and I got my first nose piercing there. It was seamless. They were professional, patient and it healed beautifully. This experience has kept me up at night. First the piercer was rude, he cursed at me when I wanted to see if I liked the position of my nose piercing. They didnt speak to me like Im a customer. I guess my first warning was when he expressed Im taking this too serious. Unbeknownst to me professional piercers that care about their customers frown on placing hoops in a new nose piercing. It will take longer to heal, cause infection more likely due to its ability to move, and it may cause your piercing to heal on an angle. My piercer did not warn me of any of this and he placed a large hoop in my nose with this huge ball on the end. Please save your money, health and sanity and go somewhere else. Im begging you.

Got my nose pierced here and had an amazing experience. my piercing turned out great and healed perfectly and i still have it today. the workers and very friendly and welcoming which helps calm nerves. 100% recommended. they also changed my nose jewelry with no charge! best place ive been to yet :)

Travis is absolutely amazing. I went in for my first tattoo and left with three. His work is truly amazing and I highly recommend him. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time and gave me exactly what I wanted. He’s very patient. Thanks again Travis I’m definitely hooked.

Dont go here for belly piercings. They used a trap ball hoop for the piercing, I had to take it out and let it heal completely.

The guy who did my daith piercing, was very patient with me and very knowledgeable, as well as kept me calm while he was making the hole.

Omg love love love this place!! The people there are so friendly, They helped me pick out my gage set and installed them with such care. They really took their time to make sure I was comfortable and happy. I cant wait to go back for my tattoo and other piercing soon. Love me some Joe and Travis.

Lady with the curly hair at the front was rude and unprofessional. Honestly straight up hot dog water, she wants to talk poorly to customers and their inconsistency is trash. Go anywhere but here

My tattoo artist did a superb job. Mad Studios was recommended to me, and im 100% totally satisfied. I will recommend it to others. The staff are nice, friendly, and funny. And they do amazing work.

I got my septum and helix piercing done here. The guy who did it was very nice and funny, and the piercing were done very quickly. Would definitely recommend them.

Quick, clean, professional and surprisingly reasonable prices. Id never gotten a piercing before so I wasnt quite sure what to expect, but I was completely satisfied by the time I left with my new brow piercing.

Travis can’t tattoo a straight line to save his life my three tattoos look terrible but that’s my mistake for returning. And I’ve had him touch them all up and they still look terrible. For the same price as better artists.

The piercer is great. he’s done a few piercing for me and my friend and they look amazing. He’s really chill and makes you feel comfortable, which really helped calm my nerves!

Went to have my tongue piercing put back in after it closed up, after years of it being out....clean shop with knowledgeable and friendly artists and staff. Process was quick, fun and fairly painless.

So I got my belly button pierced here a couple months ago and he not only recommended the wrong cleaning solution but pierced it in an awkward place as well

I went there to get a tattoo of my grandmas handwriting and it turned out exactly the way she wrote it! i loved the staff, they were so friendly and welcoming! i definitely recommend mad tattoo and piercing, i’m definitely going back!

Don’t go here, i just got my belly button pierced like a week ago and it got super infected even with cleaning it so I took the piercing out and tried putting another one in from Walmart and co-op and both do not fit!!! The guy pierced way to high up on my belly button and now I have to keep putting eyebrow piercings in it. My cousin went in a few days later and hers did the same thing and is way to high up and the belly button piercing they put in hers was dissolving!!

My wife and I came in and got 4 different piercings for her and 2 different piercings for me. Joe was great!!! I am actually planning on going back to get 2 more piercings and finish my tattoo thats on my arm.

Daughter - nose piercing! 7 mins $20.00. Clean but gives no instructions on paper for after piercing. Told verbally. Should have written instructions for after care. Nice ppl!

Absolutely horrible experience. I went in to get my septum done, the guy doing it didnt tell me anything he was doing, he didnt mark the spot he was piercing, he didnt even clean it afterwards. The ring he put in is so huge it looks ridiculous, and he didnt even show me the ring before he put it in. Completely unprofessional, everyone in the shop was rude. Will never go back.

I got my belly button pierced a couple months ago and they put a hoop ring in it with out asking. Now when I try to put in a regular ring it does not go in because the hoop ring messed up the hole and nothing else can go in.

I’ve gotten my nose and ears pierced here and the dude who did it is so nice. My nose piercing fell out once and he repierced it for free! Just a awesome place with a cool atmosphere

Had literally no emotion as soon as you walk in. They make you feel anxious and bad about what you want to get. And consulted me right in front of other people telling me what I want wasn’t good for them right in front of other people. Made me feel so humiliated.

I first called here and spoke with the lady who answered the phone very nice the owner got on the phone with me and he said I cant even understand what youre saying first of all I do have a speech impediment but I was very clear I cannot believe how disrespectful the guy was and then this is the third tattoo place I called and I couldnt make an appointment I dont drive I have to get a bus there Im a victim of abuse and I live in a shelter and the guy the owner I spoke to was very unprofessiona.l I went in. I remember you they didnt make me an appointment they told me to go somewhere else basically go getfcked.

I got my septum done here , and while they were suppose to pierce under the cartilage , they pierced through the actual cartilage , causing me so much more pain then I should’ve gone through, and it’s 48 hours later and it still hurts at a 9/10. They also did this to my friend.

They Pierced my daughters belly and was great. The place was clean and the people was awesome. Plus cant beat the price

My friend and i both got tattoos here two different artist did ours and they were both so horrible dont even know HOW those two guys even have their license to be able to be in a shop tattooing!!!! Message me on facebook if you want to see their work. WOULDNT recomend this place to anyone !!!!!!!
