Floating World Tattoos and Body Piercing

After our conference, a big group of us walked into Floating World Tattoos, and everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. The staff was genuinely excited to tattoo us and ensured we were well cared for. Brian did my tattoo—he had a light touch and was impressively quick, making the experience easy and fun. If we decide to go crazy again and get post-event tattoos, I’ll be back. It’s an awesome spot with great vibes.

Have visited Evan Void twice so far for some amazing tattoos!! Evan has lots of good energy that makes you feel very welcome and heard with your ideas and designs. I had reference pics and we workshopped designs in no time. Very happy with his final design. Workstation is well set up and clean. Communication is easy and on point. Finished tattoos look amazing and healed with absolutely no issues! Will definitely be going back to Evan 😎

Ive been collecting tattoos from Brian Dicola for 8 years now and he never disappoints! Whether it’s a design from his flash sheets or something my crazy brain thought of ive always walked out of the shop super stoked. I love that he’s always down to do weird stuff like a banana shark or something dainty like a snowflake made up of only small dots. He’s well versed in different styles and is very efficient/helpful with bouncing ideas around to get the best outcome of every design. Oh, and he’s such a good hang. The music and vibes are always immaculate. The shop is always clean and other staff are friendly! The parking garage across from the shop is also super convenient since i live an hour and a half away.

Friend and I did the “get what you get” tattoos and the artist was super nice and fun. The drink desk person was super sweet. Recommended appointments and not walk ins like us! Took 3 days to get in, but well worth it.

I’ve spent a lot of time in this shop over the last two years. Ozzie Perez & I go back a ways & I collect work from him on the reg. FW is conveniently situated on South street just above Broad & is spaced out over two different row homes converted into tattoo/piercing studios. Everyone who works here from the desk people to the artists are very friendly, inviting & respectful. Happy to know I’ll be returning shortly for some more work next week!

Got a matching tattoo with a friend and my aunt got her own tattoo and the team here really worked with me and helped me figure out a suitable artist and tattoo design for all of us! I was amazed at the outcome and everyone was so kind in the studio. It made the world especially for my aunt who got a memorial tattoo of her pets that passed and she was made to feel comfortable there. While my friend and I love the colorful trippy pineapple designs and they turned out beautifully!

Navel piercing with Saylor couldnt have been a better experience! I have a near phobia of needles & was very nervous and Saylor explained everything so throughly and calmly that i barely felt it. Very kind person, I would 100% recommend :) Other staff members also were very nice to other customers.

Walked in for a tattoo, and Brian was very helpful and designed exactly what I wanted. Great attention to detail, lines and shading were perfect. Definitely recommend

Saylor did my piercings, I am OBSESSED!! So clean and painless as possible. Placement is PERFECTION! The symmetry is spot on! From the tats I saw getting done as I walked back to the piercing room, the tattoo artists are amazing as well. Shop was very clean, receptionist was very sweet and actually answers the phone. Highly recommended!

While I cant speak for the artist skills or prices I swung by this afternoon to buy some ear studs and they told me I needed to make an appointment to buy jewelry with a tattoo artist for hours later from now.Make it make sense. Was just in the neighborhood and popped in to browse.

Eric Guntor is amazing. My first tattoo ever and he made the process extremely comfortable for me. I came to Philly on a birthday trip and had this planned out for a couple of months. Definitely amazing. And I can’t wait to see how it turns out after healing

If it’s your first or 100th tattoo, I can’t recommend Don Juan enough! I picked one of his beautiful stencils at the Philly Tattoo Convention and he made it so easy. He even rolled with it when I told him yes it was my first tattoo and yes I want it on my ribs (normally too painful for first timers).He explained everything I needed to know to make it a good experience for us both. He joked put me at ease. When he went over a painful spot, he did it quickly but beautifully.He also never tried to upsell me on stuff he didn’t think I needed - no expensive lotions or aftercare treatment. I was in great hands!I’m so happy I got this and I couldn’t be more happy that it was with Don Juan. Stellar artist and guy!

Love this place, will def be back. The front staff is friendly and attentive, and the shop has a very calm and cool vibe. Brian DiCola is creative, professional, and so friendly. He understood my request and executed it perfectly. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time and carefully went over the tattoo aftercare. Great tattoo experience 🙌

I got my nose pierced here feb 24 by their piercer Saylor. He helped me picked out my stud and also helped me pick the placement of my piercing. He was really nice and funny, I can’t wait to schedule my follow up appointment and pick out some more jewelry.

Would not recommend, the jewelry will fall out, not good quality at all.I booked an appointment for a nose ring install for a piercing I already had. the ring kept falling out and then I lost it not even a month later. I booked another appointment for an install the night before the day I wanted the piercing reinstalled. I could not make it to the appointment and could not reschedule or cancel the appointment on their scheduling link - I called the shop and told them I couldn’t make the appointment, the receptionist said she would let the piercer know and they still charged me and would not answer emails. I ended up just ordering my own jewelry and installing myself. No response to my emails, no offer to either reschedule or refund the charge.

Brian was so patient and truly cares about his clients. my tattoo is so beautiful, i get compliments constantly. he’s done my entire back over the course of about 6 years. there was a moment our last session where i got lightheaded (low blood sugar) and he sat me down and got me an orange juice and made sure i was okay. it’s little stuff like that that reassures me that brian is truly a genuine and caring human. also super easy to talk to and open to all sorts of ideas. the shop was super clean and everyone was so friendly! highly recommend floating world and brian in particular!

Had my piece done by Kristel Oreto. She is absolutely amazing and I just felt instantly comfortable. Plus she does absolutely stunning work. Also the shop is awesome and love the space and environment of it. If you havent been here you need to be like now!!!

I came into the shop on a friends recommendation. Im an older guy and this was going to be my first tattoo. I had looked at a lot of websites and instagram pages of tattoo artists in Philly, but when I saw Jordans I knew he was the right person. He did a beautiful interpretation of the image I brought to him, and exceeded my expectations. I felt I was in good hands throughout the process, well taken care of for this first experience.

I had a tattoo done by Evan and he was absolutely wonderful! He made sure I was happy with the design and was comfortable the entire time. The tattoo itself is absolutely beautiful. Had an awesome walk in experience the other day at Floating World. My friend and I wanted spontaneous tattoos and they accommodated us! Our wait was extended a bit due to the client ahead getting sick, but Floating World handled it well- kept us updated on the time to wait, and even gave us free tees! Most definitely will be coming back soon.

Got two tattoos from here of Apollo and Athena from Eric Guntor. Both were awesome experiences and turned out great. Eric helped work through my struggle to articulate what I wanted and put a lot of thought into the pieces to incorporate the elements I wanted. He was happy chatting to pass the time when I wanted and was happy when I preferred to stay quiet. The shop made sure the whole experience was comfortable and inviting. The banter between the artists kept me entertained as well. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Everyone is friendly and sincere.

I got my ears pierced here by Saylor and he was great! Super friendly, hygienic, and you can tell hes really experienced. He made me feel very comfortable in the shop and answered lots of questions for me! The piercings look great.

This place was so cool! I felt very comfortable with the piercer, was given detailed info about aftercare, and was happy with the experience. Made sure I was comfortable before and after piercing and talked me through the whole thing.

10/10 experience! First of all, the people at the shop are so chill and friendly. The piercer, Saylor, is the absolute best. So friendly, funny, incredible bedside manner, and made my nostril piercing virtually painless. I’ve had my nostril pierced several times before and each time was incredibly painful (on a scale of 1-10, it was consistently at least an 8). With Saylor, it was maybe a 2.Could not recommend Saylor enough and I will definitely be going back here for any future piercings. I’ll likely be coming back for tattoos as well!

Saylor is THE BEST. Truly the kindest soul- made sure I was comfortable with the process multiple times and still informed me of what he was doing. Made an appointment with Saylor after my initial piercing fell out (different shop) and they were an absolute angel! Very thorough explanation of the process itself and also aftercare and maintenance. I am very squeamish when it comes to needles and piercings in general, but the whole process of inserting a new piece was relatively painless! Felt a slight pinch, but Saylor was very kind and understanding of my general uneasiness. Will definitely return for future piercings! Super grateful :)

I have never once written a review anywhere but Saylor 100 percent deserves one. I’m a retail manager and have worked in customer service for 10 years. I have several piercings and am always a little hesitant to go to a new shop because I never have a good experience. The piercers are always unfriendly and clearly want me in and out of their chair. This wasn’t the case with Saylor. Saylor took time with me and was extremely thorough and friendly. Before the piercing even began Saylor made sure I had any questions answered. This was just a double cartilage piercing but Saylor treated me like I was just as important as any other client. I couldn’t recommend Saylor enough for any piercing! I’m extremely satisfied with my experience.

Saylor was incredible. I was really nervous, as this was my first piercing, and he made me feel completely at ease. He walked me through the entire process, asked me a few times if I consented to it, really explained the aftercare, and took my phone calls after the piercing when I had questions about keeping it clean.I recommend Saylor to anyone who is new to piercings or the area. I got two torso piercings here over a month ago. prior to being pierced i was told they were sold out of the gold jewelry requested but i could purchase them and switch them out eventually. i’ve texted the contact number given to me, called the shop, and dmed my piercer with no response. one of the piercings is also embedding and needs to be changed to a longer bar. this lack of response is unprofessional and may ruin the healing of my piercing. i will now have to find somewhere else to go. one of the piercings is also crooked. i’d recommend going elsewhere.

Everything was great, Saylor was my piercer. Did a fantastic job, almost pain free lol. Only downside, couldnt have my partner in the shop with me. (Not theyre fault Covid guide lines) and jewelry was a tad over priced but besides that. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend Saylor for your piercings. Enjoy🤙🏽

This is a Saylor appreciation post. I had my nose pierced from 15-23 and then took it out for a job. Years later, I wanted to get a new piercing and researched a few different options. Ultimately I went with Saylor and I’m so glad I did. His scheduling system and incredibly thorough emails before you even walk in are wonderful. Once there, he walked me through the steps. He even took measures to cut down my healing time when it meant a cheaper process. When your piecing is done, he sets you up with cleaning solution and talks you through coming back for follow up. From start to finish- he is a true professional.

My friend and I are visiting Philly and decided to get tattoos tonight. This was the perfect place because not only were we able to just walk in, but it was a first time for both of us and they were so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable! Don catered to our design-wants perfectly and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this shop for their friendly service and great talent!

I went in to get nipple piercings. The woman at the front desk was very nice & informative about the service I was getting done. My piercer Saylor was absolutely amazing! Brian DiCola was the most professional and accommodating tattoo artist I have ever been to. I went to get a tattoo and as soon as he started my blood sugar dropped causing me to pass out unexpectedly. He took incredible care of me, instantly running down the street to get orange juice for me to drink. After I felt better he continued the tattoo, stopping periodically to make sure I was still doing okay. Not only was the tattoo impeccable but the service was as well. I would definitely recommend getting tattooed by Brian.

The actual tattooing the artist is one star review . I got simple lettering and the artist who tattooed i felt was rushing the end result is me with a tattoo that i will have to get covered in the future smh. Be mindful please. The artist wasn’t not a good one i like old city tattoo much better.

If youre on the fence about getting a piercing here, this is your sign to do it! I recently got double lobe piercings in both ears, a cartilage, and a faux rook piercing from Saylor, and I love them so much! Ive always wanted multiple piercings, but never had it done because I was scared. I came in on a whim for my first lobe piercings and Saylor made everything so comfortable, easy and painless...so I came back a few more times. :) The shop is very clean and Saylor takes his time with helping choose jewelry, sizing the posts and making sure it will heal well. I have had zero issues with healing and keep recommending this shop to all my friends!

I got a foot coverup tattoo by Kristel Oreto yesterday, and let me tell you... I could NOT be more happy! This is by far my best tattoo, by a landslide. It’s not only a gorgeous piece, but the previous tattoo is literally GONE! Even my husband is in disbelief- he couldn’t spot my old tattoo at all! Kristel is truly gifted- fantastic line work and the color is beautifully saturated. I can’t wait to go back for my rib and sleeve! I’m so happy and proud to wear this thing for life! She’s given me my confidence back, for the first time in 10 years I’m looking forward to wearing flip flops this summer without feeling self conscious. Aside from Kristel’s obvious talent artistically, she made me feel SO comfortable which to me is just as important as the tattoo itself. I genuinely had a great time talking with her. She’s pretty bomb all around and I could not recommend her more for your tattoo needs.I also had the opportunity to talk with several other staff members, everyone was so awesome, kind and welcoming. The piercer Saylor was super sweet and helpful! Rev was such a pleasure to work with! I got my first color tattoo here by Cassie. The shop was really welcoming and calm beautiful artwork everywhere plus they were playing the office in the waiting area. Cassie was accommodating and patient with me through the entire tattoo taking extra time to make sure I was comfortable.

Such amazing people!!! I’ve been following Kristel now for awhile, she’s done my sleeve and recently did a coverup on my other arm. WORTH EVERY DOLLAR!!! I had two sessions here with Brian DiCola on a large chest piece. The studio is clean, Brian is fantastic and never once made me feel uncomfortable (despite having my bitties out). He works fast, does great work taking client ideas and making something awesome, and is incredibly nice! I highly recommend him and this studio.

I went in just to get an earring put back into my cartilage piercing because I couldn’t do it myself (special type of earring). And the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and attitudinal. I asked for a time estimate and she said 30-40 minutes. At the 30 minute mark, I asked how much time might be left and she said it could be a couple minutes, five minutes, ten minutes or fifteen minutes. She had terrible customer service. When 15 minutes was up, I asked to check-in and she became very rude with me because I had come to ask again. I ended up leaving and was very disappointed with the customer service.

I got tattooed at this shop yesterday and I had such a great experience. I’ve been tattooed at over a dozen shops and this one is absolutely in my top three. I can’t wait to go back and get more work done here. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a shop in/near Philly.

Really love all the body Jewlery I have in my face from Saylor at Floating World Tattoos. Don is a great tattooer and funny guy. This tattoo studio is ceiling to floor a work of art and I mean that. What a beautiful floor. I know thats sort of a crazy thing to say but the tattoo shop has a custom painted floor that alone is worth seeing.

We went to get matching tattoos last night called and told them we are 5 minutes away. when we showed up the lady was very rude and was like can you go hangout on somebody elses steps. We replied we are here for our tattoos and she was like we are closed. It was 9 pm but she told me they close at 10.

Saylor is AMAZING with piercings. Super sweet and explains everything extremely well. Made me so comfortable and I can’t wait to come back for another one!

Very open and clean inside, street parking isnt as bad as I thought it would be, Free parking after 8pm .. receptionist was very polite, friendly and informative .. my artist was Brian Buchak who is friendly, talented and has a lot of experience, very patient for a 1st timer like me .. I would definitely go back to them for my next tattoo(s) .. I won the TatTuesday text contest on the Preston and Steve Show on the great 93.3 WMMR in January, which gave me $350 gift certificate for my tatt .. walk-ins are welcome anytime but you must bring your mask to enter .. Very relaxed environment, I was terrified to get my first tattoo but quickly felt at ease in their great shop

Got a piece done by Eric that I really like. It was a bit pricier than I was anticipating, but honestly it was worth it. Very chill vibes across the shop, Eric is super talented, and everything was crazy sanitary. I’ll be back for sure.

Saylor is an amazing piercer and they have a good variety of jewelry to choose from!

I’ve never been treated so badly by a business, I called 5 minutes earlier and then when I walked up they denied services very rudely, it wasn’t about getting denied it was the way they went about it. so rude so inconsiderate.
