No Ka Oi Tiki Tattoo

Was hesitant to give my review but want to express my feelings towards my experience I had today. Only went in to change my two nostril piercings and go up a gauge in my septum. Though the atmosphere was nice and all employees were very sweet I am disappointed on the price I paid for the quality of work I got. I settled on 3 titanium jewelry pieces, basic but nice and my total came to over 150, which is steep but for quality work I don’t mind. My piercer was very sweet and the process took more time than expected but again, I enjoy getting pierced and being there. However, once I got home I realized the ball to my septum was not even screwed in all the way and was very loose. while trying to tighten the ball with my already pretty sore septum the ball popped right out. Spent over an hour trying to get it in and had to pull out my own piercing kit to get it back in. Again, not the end of the world but for 150 dollars I would like to expect that ball is not going anywhere. I know no one is perfect and things like this happen, but just disappointed.

I visited this shop today for a nose piercing, Hannah was very thorough and gentle! There was no surprise pokes, and she made sure before piercing that the jewelry would look right with my face. She made sure to mark where it matches with my anatomy which was something i was very pleased with. She even helped me on picking out jewelry and explaining the pricing and her own recommendations from each the more affordable options and the high end ones. She made sure to explain why they use the jewelry they use to start you off. I appreciate how thorough and professional she was as many service providers unfortunately don’t explain or guide customers through such service. Thank you a bunch Hannah!!

10/10 experience every time I visit the shop. First off the vibes in there are always great, and it is always super clean. The shop has to have some of the nicest front desk people of any tattoo place I’ve ever been to. My artist, Gerardo, is the real treasure though. He is amazing at what he does and always execute my vision perfectly. It’s ridiculously impressive honestly. He has mastered so many different styles of tattoos, so whatever you’re looking to get done you can definitely trust him to tattoo it flawlessly. I used to exclusively go to another artist until I met Gerardo. The first time I went to the shop was a super last minute decision. My friend and I had decided that afternoon that we wanted to get matching tattoos. Since we live in a generation of instant gratification, we obviously wanted to go get them done asap. So we called a few shops to see if they could take walk ins and lo and behold No Ka Oi graciously offered for us to come in that day. The second we introduce ourselves to Gerardo there was an instant vibe. He was so patient and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. It was such a great experience. He had me laughing so hard the entire time that I barely noticed the pain from my tattoo lol. From that moment forward I have strictly gone to Gerardo for all of my tats and will continue to only go to him, for as long as he is tattooing here in philly.I have gotten about 10 tattoos from him in the past 7 months because his work is seriously just that good! I get so many compliments on my tats and everyone always asks who my artist is. I have recommended so many people to go see Gerardo and if you’re reading this, go book with him asap!! I can guarantee you won’t regret it. We had an amazing experience with Sam (@Samantis) at No Ka Oi. Front desk was so nice to us. We walked in as a group of three on a Saturday and they were so willing to take us for multiple piercings each. She helped us plan our piercings out based on our anatomy. She’s clearly an expert at what she does. The piercing experience was excellent. I can not recommend enough.

Went there with my birthday twin to get her a piercing. A little pricey but WORTH IT! The jewelry was cute, real, and versatile. We got educated and great suggestions, and were satisfied! I would go back there to get a piercing or take anyone back.

I walked in yesterday and got a bridge piercing from Sam in about 20 min flat. They gave me great aftercare tips and were super clean and professional. I’ll definitely be back for future piercings.

Hannah is the best, she pierced my nose & i can tell she knew what she was doing. I recently came in for some issues I was having, but she resolved them right away and was super friendly/helpful. I will definitely go to her for more piercings.

I got my tattoo done by Jay. She did a great job taking the time to make sure the design is exactly what I wanted it to be, and being very professional. I went to get my left ear pierced for the first piercing of my life, the staff was super nice. I went upstairs and there was someone there covering and she was extremely nice, thoughtful, and great with communicating for any of the many questions I had. She eased me into the process and warned me appropriately when she was going to start the piercing. I unfortunately don’t remember her name to shout her out, but she did amazing so kudos!10/10 would get stabbed here again.

You put it on for life so make sure a professional does your work who is also an artist! Bill Funk tattoo legend and his Wife Anna are amazing and the staff reflects it. Flew in from Key West as its that good.

If i could give 0 stars I absolutely would. Possibly the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced! Front desk person was so condescending and rude it made me feel like she didn’t want me there and discouraged me from following through with my service. My partner did actually continue their service and described it as just “ok”. The staff members seemed more interested in what was on their phone than their client. Needless to say there are a ton of good places nearby worth checking out.

Went in on Saturday to get a piece done by Jessi. She was super nice and everyone at the location were very helpful. It was the biggest tattoo I have gotten so far so I was a bit nervous. The piece ended up perfect! Thank you Jessi and No Ka Oi for a great experience, I will definitely be back!

No Ka Oi is so much more than an amazing tattoo and piercing shop. The artists and all staff are nothing less than caring, considerate, talented, and friendly. I have gone to countless tattoo artists and piercers across many states and I can confidently say that I have found my home here. I have received both tattoos and piercings here and can attest that they are the best in Philly. I recently got a tattoo from Gerardo Flores along with my boyfriend. Both of us came in as walk-ins and we’re immediately greeted and welcomed. Gerardo was able to capture my vision effortlessly which for a walk in appointment with no prior discussions is incredible. This was by far the most pain free and precise tattoo I have ever gotten. Though my camera skills are not great, it is easy to see how meticulously he outlines and fills in writing. There is absolutely nothing that could make this tattoo better! The experience itself was incredible, my boyfriend and I had amazing conversations with Gerardo and the other staff members who all made us feel like family. The passion and respect in this shop is palpable and a reason alone to visit. For my boyfriends tattoo, he knew that he wanted to get one on his hand but had a few different ideas in mind. Gerardo helped to pick out the best option keeping in mind the rest of his tattoos and created a stunning rose. There isn’t a line or shade out of place and being that it was on his hand shows just how skilled Gerardo is. On top of this, Gerardo stayed later to make sure that my boyfriends tattoo was not only completed but shaded perfectly. We never once felt rushed and could see how much he cares about his art and his clients. He truly took the time to make sure that the tattoo was perfect, for a hand tattoo that is clearly incredibly important. We are both so proud and grateful to have his work on us and are eager for more. I truly can’t wait to go back and get another tattoo from Gerardo and to catch up as he is so incredibly personable and positive. There is a reason why this business is so highly rated and regarded and why it consistently shows up as the top tattoo shop in Philly. I can testify that I trust Gerardo with my tattoos wholeheartedly both in quality and in safety. Got my first ear piercing ever yesterday, I didn’t have an appointment but they were able to take me pretty quickly. The women upstairs were super friendly and informative. They have a huge selection of jewelry although I went with a classic silver stud. I will be back for some gold rings when it heals! I couldn’t have asked for an easier experience!

Last year I had my left nostril pierced by Luis, and decided on a crystal stud. It was my first piercing other than my ears, and Luis made the process comfortable and at ease with clear expectations of each step. It looks amazing even still one year later! Healing went smoothly with proper care.That’s why I came back yesterday one year later to have my navel pierced by the amazing team of NoKaOi. Haley was amazing and again made the piercing process easy with a beautiful result. I got a very pretty piece of belly button jewelry and can’t wait to show it off more in the summer! Highly recommended and I’m sure to be back for another treat to myself :)

My 14 year old made a deal with me. Straight A’s all school year = belly ring. It was easy to make an appointment. I had to provide a lot of ID paperwork on her behalf which I appreciated (they aren’t gonna do any services on minors without proper ID and guardianship). They were very busy for it to be a Wednesday. But they must be trusted. She loves her ring which. Was included in the price.

My friend and I went for walk in piercings and had the privilege of getting pierced by Nick. Ive gone through quite a few piercings and Ive never had such a fun experience. He was kind and patient and ensured the pain was as minimal as possible. He made us feel so at ease and was extremely kind and knowledgeable. I was a bit overwhelmed by the price, but after the whole process, I knew quickly that you were paying for a top quality service. So in love with my new piercing!

So, so, so amazing! The staff were all incredibly friendly, playful, professional, knowledgeable, supportive, talented, wise, and all the other amazing and positive adjectives one could use. A little bit pricey, but 100% worth it to know youre getting a great experience and quality care. Am definitely recommending and coming back for future piercings.

My tattoo came out great. Gerardo took his time and did a fantastic job. He explained to me how to care for it and used a Second Skin bandage to protect and help it heal.The woman at the front desk was friendly. All in all, the vibe was nice.

Very friendly staff, waited maybe 20 minutes for my sister in law to do get pierced and Stephanie took me right after for a nostril piercing. The quickest piercing I ever received! I stood there most of the day for my cousin to get a tattoo (which turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Harry did an AMAZING job!) and the staff were very nice and we talked as time went by. Great experience here!

I had the best piercing experience here. I hadn’t made an appointment, as I didn’t see that I needed to make one on their website (turns out you do), but my piercer, Luis, took me anyways which was incredible because I came from Fishtown down to this location specifically. Luis was SO friendly and knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable, and kept me informed every step during my septum piercing. The studio was very clean and I had an easy-in easy-out experience. My piercing was also done very well, didn’t hurt at all, which means the “sweet spot” was achieved, which is crucial for a septum piercing. Really wonderful experience through and through!

Sam was the best. I was new to nose piercing but she really took care of us. And helped us out with picking the spot and picking the stud.20/10 would recommend.

I usually love this place and I hesitated if I should even post this but wanted to give my review as well. Beware of guest piercers and do your homework on them. I scheduled my appointment weeks in advance and had faith that whatever this shop offered would give me a good outcome.I asked for a second nostril piercing and my original changed to a hoop. The guest piecer who was leaving town in two days for good, initial pierced me and it was visibly crooked. We agree she’s going to change the original out from stud to hoop and then we’re going to repierce the new one. She hit me so hard with the repierce without warning, and then realizes she pierced me with the old stud that had been replaced by the hoop. So I was bagged up the supposed to be new stud and told I already paid for it so it’s mine and no refunds were available bc it had already been in my body. I left and have cried every day since because the piercing is still crooked and did not heal well despite taking care of it the same way as all of my other piercings.This happened a few months ago and I have not seen this guest back at the location since.

My friends and I had the BEST tattoo experiences here. My two friends were quite nervous about getting their first tattoos and the staff was so warm and welcoming. We had so much fun and the work is top quality. If I could give all of the employees more than 5 stars on this review I would.

Highly highly recommend this place for piercing needs - I’ve been pierced by both Eva and Luis, I’m amazed by the level of experience between the both of them. I really feel like I’m being taken care of by the best in the business. Eva was exceptionally attentive and comforting through the whole experience. She really took her time, I felt really good about the whole experience. Luis is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. I’d recommend this place over any piercing place in Philadelphia, no doubt the other piercer who I haven’t had the chance to work with is just as experienced. Thankful I’ve found a reliable and safe piercing studio to work with.

I’ve had the best service here. Not only did Mantis gave me great tips, she also did an amazing job with my piercings and they healed great and are on point! I highly recommend this place and I also recommend to go to Mantis because she knows her knowledge and is on point with positioning every piercing I’ve ever gotten from her !

It isn’t my first time getting a piercing. This place is okay… I wouldn’t say it’s the best to go. I had to wait extra time from my original appointment when the piercer was at lunch or something. It’s like that time wasn’t a matter. She walked up the stairs to the piercing area nonchalantly, as if time doesn’t even matter to her. This wouldn’t have happened if I decided to get it done at my original piercer. I recommend just making an appointment at Infinite instead of here.

I went in to get nipple piercing with Luis Garcia and he was amazing! So kind and professional sterilized everything in front of me, triple checked the placement of the piercings and gave me detailed aftercare instructions.COVID-wise, I felt very safe the front desk staff were so sweet and helpful. I got pierced 1 week ago and I’ve had almost no pain or irritation he has so good hands the placement is gorgeous! Recommend this place to everyone ☺️

Ursula was amazing! She helped me figure out how to deal with bad piercings from somewhere else, gave me a new piercing, and helped change the jewelry on another piercing. She was super patient and kind and made the whole experience feel safe and comfortable. I will definitely go back to her for future piercings.

I would give 0 starts if I could!! Horrible customer service experience from the piercing artist. He told a flat out lie because he didnt want to take the time to do a tongue piercing. We even had an appointment for two piercings! Glad we didnt get it done here. Chose Big City Tattoo Studio on Girard Ave, had everything done with no problem and for less than half the price!! So thank you! We will never come here again or recommend.

Very clean a nice calm environment. The woman who set up the paperwork and explained the healing time and such was very nice. She was very informative and answered any questions I had. The woman who did the actual piercing (Haley) was very nice also. She talked me through everything she was doing and she was very reassuring. She was quick and efficient and I am very pleased with my new piercing. I would recommend this place and I plan on going back in the future. Compared to the other places in Philadelphia that I priced, they were slightly cheaper for the most part. Its better to pay with cash because paying with a card cost a little more, but I still think its well worth it!

I went in to buy jewelry as well as get jewelry put in for an existing piercing. The piercer Ursula was extremely rude and did not greet me. The price of the jewelry was expensive for something that looks so cheap. I also did not get the option to choose what I wanted. The packaging looked disgusting and when I asked for a different one she had an attitude. She tried charging me $60+ to get jewelry put in an existing piercing. This place does not have a great piercing policy and I would not suggest it. I called Infinite piercing and they were a lot nicer on the phone. So if you’re looking to change a piercing I would go there!

I thought the service was very professional. The staff was welcome and attentive although they were handling many inquiries at the desk. The piercer who did my piercing was very friendly and knows what theyre doing. Its been a week and so far no complications from the piercing.Update: Its been months and I had zero issues with the septum piercing I received.

Finally decided to get my nose pierced and No Ka Oi was highly recommended to me by a friend. Luis did my piercing, and I cannot sing this mans praises enough. He was fun, professional, courteous and answered all my questions. He was so knowledgeable, and really took the time to make sure I was happy with the placement. The room was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Luis walked me through everything he was doing and had a very gentle hand. Awesome place, awesome experience. I will be coming back!

Ive had excellent experiences at No Ka Oi - they have very careful, attentive artists. Ive never been disappointed, and know several people who feel the same way. I have been both pierced and tattooed here, and have never had a bad experience. One tattoo was on my ribcage, in French -- and the artist worked with me to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. The price was completely reasonable. I highly recommend this parlor to anyone in the area who is considering body art!

Went out there on Friday for a piercing and they said their piercer wasn’t there, so we made an appointment for Monday. We go back there on Monday (after receiving a confirmation text) and they say their piercer isn’t in until Thursday. Left feeling very annoyed and I would not recommend this place at all

I’ve had such a pleasant experience here with Sam! she’s pierced my nostril and vertical labret and each time i’ve felt well taken care of. she’s also been super responsive when i’ve had questions during the healing process! i’d highly recommend Sam for any piercing 🖤

What did I get? Industrial piercingExperience:I like the girl that greeted me at the front desk. She was super sweet and patient with my questions. I felt warm and at ease. When I walked up stairs to greet Luis, he gave off a let’s-skip-the-formalities vibes. Not necessarily rude but just a bit off putting. But again, at least the girl kept me company and I’m happy about that.Customer service with Luis could be better. He told me to sit on a chair once we got into a private room. I’m pretty short (5’0) and I had to practically hop on the chair to go on it. It was uncomfortable for me haha. Luis did remain professional, properly cleaned his hands, prepped for the piercing and marked the areas. He told me to breathe when he pierced my ear. Overall, the experience was normal during the piercing process.I felt comfortable knowing I’m getting pierced by someone with 30+ years of experience. Although he wasn’t all fun and sunshine, it was all good. The industrial piercing was around $70 with basic jewelry. The price is good considering you are getting pierced by a long experienced professional.

Called early to make an appointment and was seen the same day. Nice enough to squeeze me in unlike other places and didn’t push me off to website. Staff was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. Was looking to get 2 new piercings on one ear but unsure where to fit them. Luis was my piercer. He was amazing. He spent time working with me, figuring out where we could place the earrings- even pulled out his phone, took a pic of my ear and used markup to show me exactly where we could fit them. Walked me thru choosing 2 beautiful pieces of jewelry that would compliment each other since they lay close together. Talked me thru the whole piercing process and made me feel comfortable. The space was super clean and he took all precautions with instruments and jewelry. Wonderful guy and very knowledgeable. Definitely going back for more once I’m healed up!

Got my septum pierced by Luis tonight and he was great. I have a deviated septum and he advised me it was possible it could come out crooked and I appreciate the honesty and not just piercing it for the money. I went ahead with the piercing anyway and it came out straight! He did a great job. He had an apprentice Gabby who he was showing the ropes and she was friendly! Overall a fantastic experience, will go back if I decide on more piercings!

Got my eyebrow pierced here with Ursula and my septum pierced here with Nick; both were amazing! Fast, fair priced, efficient, and friendly service done by piercers who know their stuff! Highly recommend this place.

Took my friend here because she wanted to get a piercing. The person at the front desk was rude and was staring my friend down like she knew a dirty secret about her??? Really uncomfortable, horrible attitude and just mean. I thought my friend was gonna cry tbh, and she was perfectly polite the whole time. Def never giving them a recommendation.

I came here to get my nose pierced. I was surprised a lot of places dont do it anymore, but they do. Price wasnt bad, like $20 for the piercing and the price varies on the nose ring ur gonna get. This is the second time Ive done this, first time it didnt go to well. But its only been a week and its looking & feeling great. Still tender, but overall I love it.

I got my earlobe pierced here and it was just such a great experience!! LJ was so personable and set me at ease with his passion for what he does, and his humor. The procedure was quick and felt very safe. They have beautiful jewelry.

Went here for walk-in piercings with two friends on a whim one Friday afternoon, at the recommendation of a random man on the street...fantastic experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, considering that we knew nothing about what we wanted going in the door. The alternative Hawaiian decor was nice; not the sterile, intimidating tattoo/piercing parlor type at all (although everything was still very clean). They had a large selection of jewelry (18k, titanium, bone, wood etc) and piercing prices were very reasonable.Luis was great! He answered all of our questions patiently and instructed us on the proper care methods. He was very smooth, so I barely felt the needle at all. Healing great. Would definitely recommend!

I have personally know Sam since she was an apprentice and she has only improved in every aspect of her job since. Sam is very professional, precise and compassionate when she is working with clients. Her technique is well honed and she always makes her clients feel comfortable while she works. As someone who has seen multiple piercers Sam’s work in minimally painful and always spot on. She’s the only one I trust with my body modification!

I was visiting Philly with some friends this weekend and was determined to get a couple piercings. Ursula, the piercer who handled my friend and I this afternoon, was wonderful. They walked us through the whole process carefully and even handled our indecision with immense patience.Even the actual act of piercing was softened by Ursualas ability to outline the steps. I wish I lived in Philly because this would be my regular piercing destination. I will likely have to travel back to experience this kind of start to finish experience.Thank you!

I’ve gotten tattoos from two of their artists, and both of them were exceptional. Bryce was able to take my idea and elevate it to a work of art. Clean lines, no fuss, great results. I won’t go anywhere else now.

This has been my go to place for years. I got my daith pierced by Luis earlier this month. It hurt lol but not too bad as he talked me through it and made me feel comfortable. He’s amazing. My piercing is healing nicely and I’ve experienced no pain or problems with it. I love LJ as well. He’s really patient, funny and knowledgeable. I saw him a few days ago to get my first lobes repierced and it was quick and easy.

Luis Garcia made the septum piercing a painless experience for me! I got nervous last minute but he helped me through it quickly & easily. 2 months later it’s fully healed & looks great 🥰 everyone was nice & answered all of my questions fully. Thanks!!

Oliver was amazing! This new shop is super dope and modern. He has so much talent and is willing to work with what I want with better ideas. He was easy to talk to and didnt make me feel bad as a young person getting tattooed. My tattoo is beautiful and healed really well. I highly recommend this place. I walked into the shop yesterday with an idea but unsure of exactly the final design should be. Jen (my artist) and Kate (the friendly gal at the front) discussed my idea with me and expanded the concept beyond what I could possibly have imagined.Jens talent and creativity are unmatched by the 5 other artists I have gone to for ink. Her friendliness while working was greatly appreciated while she tattooed down my spine (not exactly a comfortable place to be tattooed!) and she completed the piece much more quickly than I expected. The overall experience was great. She works fast, is very friendly and candid, and is an amazing artist.I would love to go back have her fill out my back (a work in progress) although she is a visiting artist who will return to Hawaii in a few weeks... which just means Ill have to make it to the Aloha State!While I was waiting, I got to check out the progress of the two other artists working at the time and it was clear they were very talented as well. One was working on a large, intricate piece, and the other on a piece with varied colors throughout. Both did fantastic work.Go here for your next tattoo!! It will be so worth it. (=

I went to get a tattoo in June 2021 and Brian was awesome. He has over 20 years experience with tattooing and he was super friendly and so easy to warm up to; for my other tattoo that I have, I also came here in the year 2009 and a woman named Anna did my tattoo and my experience was also great. So far I’ve only gotten tattoos at this spot, why would I go elsewhere if I get what I want here!

Very unprofessional! I scheduled an appointment for today for back dermal piercing all for them to tell me when I got there that they did not have the jewelry needed for the piercing! I am very agitated that my time was wasted now I have to go to New Jersey to get my desired piercing!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. For one thing to get my nose piercing changed to a ring they made me wait 2+ hours, because they dont understand how to tell someone to make an appointment when they shouldve. Secondly when they finally took me up to change jewelry the piercer tigthened so harshly, fast that it bled!I had no problem with many piercings including other cartilage piercings. Even with my stud nothing had occurred. But once she changed the jewelry a horrible piercing bump has occurred. hasnt gone away. Regardless awful service period.

Everyone in the shop was very friendly and professional. I want to shout out to CJ. He did my nose piercing, very knowledgeable, patient and down right cool. He walked me through everything best experience.. I would recommend CJ to anyone looking to be pierced. I didn’t feel anything…

I absolutely love it here!!! It smells so fresh and clean. I saw a friend get a piercing done by Hailey and they were all so friendly and welcoming. They were so thorough and explained everything so well. Ill definitely come back for my next piercing or tattoo.

First time ever getting a piercing in a parlor (instead of those mall kiosks). A friend and I decided to go on a whim and get a belly button piercing(her) and a helix piercing(me). Luis pierced us, he was super cool, he answered the million and one questions we had, he walked us through everything he was doing, and told us what we should do for aftercare/what to expect. 5 months later and our piercings are healing beautifully. The jewelry available is really nice, and theres a wide range. Once my piercing is fully healed, I definitely plan to go back and get more.

I had a great experience going and getting a custom tattoo. They drew it out two different sizes for me and let me pick which one that I liked. They were very clean and covid-19 safe. Everyone in the building had to wear mask and at entry I had to get a temperature check. At the time that I went I had to schedule an appointment.

I went there for a finish up a piece that means the world to me. The shop staff are amazing and Bryce my tattoo artist made my tattoo amazing I couldnt of asked for more it will be proudly displayed everyday amazing amazing amazing and thank u to everyone there

Iva pierced my nose and I couldn’t be happier with the experience, from start to finish. She walked me through my jewelry choices, reminding me to choose wisely since it needed to stay in for at least 6 months. She explained each step of the piercing process before doing anything, and unlike a prior experience getting my nose pierced, when Iva did it, there was much less pain and no blood. I’d highly recommend getting a body piercing done here - she made me feel very comfortable.

My piercer, Iva, was amazing. A real life angel, she made me feel completely comfortable, and was genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person. She explained the process of my nipple piercings perfectly, and made me feel safe and relaxed. Iva was so sweet, and I can’t wait to come back and have her pierce me again. So happy :)

Staff was extremely helpful and informative for a relative tattoo newbie. After contacting Jordan over Instagram/email I stopped by the shop for a consultation (theyre flexible with scheduling). Jordan took my idea and designed a very cool concept around it.About a week later I came in for my session and the design turned out great! I had fun chatting with Jordan during the session and the work turned out great - would suggest him and this shop to anyone looking for solid ink. Great price for the size and attention that went into this.

I went there to get my ears pierced because they where the only shop that would take me last minute. Which i found pretty decent. However when i got there the guy that does the piercings was rude as hell. I brought my own earring which I couldnt do because you have to purchase a earring from them and by the way their earrings suck.

Previous experience was awesome. Today, not so much. We drove 2 hours to get some piercings and couldnt do it because a digital ID with additional hard copy second ID was not enough. Make sure you have hard copies of everything before entering. #totallybummed

This place is so fun. It is like being at a beach paradise! We had an appointment with LJ, he was the best! LJ was friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. He made sure everything was clean and explained it in detail.He made sure you knew exactly what he was doing and when. It was actually a fun experience! When I left, My nose looks like it has been in for months, no irritation at all. Great job!

I saw Aimie for a poppy flower. She was amazing, her detail and kindness was amazing! The staff and other artists were clean, kind and made me feel very safe during my appointment. Everyone was very professional and kind. Can’t wait to come back for more!

I went in to check if my nose piercing had closed after the jewelry had fallen out the day prior. They charged $25 to check if the piercing had closed and when it was clear it had, they didnt offer me any credit towards a future re-piercing. Little frustrated on the charge prior to checking if the piercing had even filled.

Now, I have been to this place many times before... BUT this time, was definitely my last. The piercer Luis was extremely rude, inpatient and unprofessional. For my friend and I, our total was almost $300 and would have took less than 20mins. After waiting hours for him to come in, we did not even get pierced.

I had a very beat up pin up covered up by Bill Funk and I cannot say enough good things. The shop is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Bills work is nothing short of amazing. The detail he put into the piece is stunning and I’m not even done yet.

I got two piercings done here and the second time I think the piercer was in a terrible mood because she was incredibly rude to me. Kept rushing me to pick a jewelry and made a face at my friend basically mocking me. I was not taking long at all and the whole appointment was rushed. I did not like the way she bent my jewelry but she told me that’s the way it’s supposed to look. No it is not supposed to be sticking out like that and she didn’t try to fix it, she just kept saying it’s supposed to look like that. Besides that, she made conversation by asking me questions and criticized my career choice and life choices. I did not ask her to talk to me and she had no room being rude like that to me.

I’m a student at Temple and recently got a tattoo there. They were so nice and helpful, my artist did his best to make me comfortable and made sure I wasn’t in pain. He even gave me a few minutes to go get something to eat before my tattoo. It’s a bit pricier but definitely worth it. Very accommodating and great service.

I got my first tattoo here when I was 18, and overall it was an okay experience. I love the atmosphere in the shop, its professional and sanitary, and everyone is nice. However, my artist was extremely impatient with me when I had to point out that she kept drawing my tattoo wrong (the original one she drew didnt match my description at all) She rushed me and the entire process, and I actually ended up with something imperfect (she drew it for the wrong side of my body and decided not to fix it). Honestly, I understand her impatience (I was young and it was my first piece and the ribs are a really hard spot) but it put a damper on things, and I dont plan on ever going back.

After scouting too many shops to count in person and online I decided to get my first tattoo here, I drew what I wanted myself so I made an appointment. When I went in the staff seemed uninterested and couldnt really be bothered to help, that shouldve made me walk away, but I thought maybe they were just having a busy day. Compared to the tattoos I have now I couldnt believe how overpriced they are. I have a large back piece for the same price as my 2 inch one they did. I feel like because I was new to tattoos etc. they took advantage of me being young and naive. I would not recommend coming here, theres plenty of reasonably priced much more talented tattoo artists elsewhere.

I cant believe this place has such high ratings. Look at their photos. This place has terrible line work and is ridiculously overpriced. Paid 100s for a simple memorial tattoo for my moms birthday when she lost her dog. Lines are shakey and one year later the ink is blotchy and fading. Avoid this place unless you want to pay premium for a prison tattoo.

I had my 1st & 3rd tattoo done here as well as my nose piercing. All of my experiences have been perfect. Professional and hygienic. The tattoo artists & the guy that pierced my nose -Luis I think- are super knowledgable & their work shows that. They made me feel comfortable and eased my nerves my first time around especially by talking me through everything. If youre getting a tattoo or piercing in PA go to No Ka Oi Tiki tattoo 👌🏽

Haley has done six piercings for me at this point and is also currently helping me with stretching my ear lobes the correct/healthy way to avoid irreversible tissue damage. During my first visit to the shop, Haley was so friendly and patient in helping to fix another piercers mistake (my daith had been pierced with jewelry that was far too small and got stuck to the point I couldnt remove it myself) and was able to salvage the piercing and put in correctly fitting jewelry to ensure safe healing. Haleys professionalism, knowledge, ethics, and wonderful personality are the reason I continue to refer friends to her for all their piercing needs. Shes the only person I trust for piercings/aftercare advice.

Worst piercing experience Ive ever had and I didnt even get anything pierced! I never write reviews... especially bad ones but I want to warn people about the piercer who changed out my nose piercing yesterday. Ive had my nose done multiple times and I didnt think someone changing it out would hurt as badly as it did. She didnt clean the inside of my nose or the piercing and didnt offer me any type of cleaning solution for it afterwards. She was also really rude to my sister who was also a potential customer and made her wait downstairs. Besides all of that what I really want to get across is that shes painful and rude. While she was shoving it into my face she said Does it hurt? and kept pushing it even harder. Im not a pansy but every other piercer Ive had tried to make it as painless as possible and also had their technique down. I should have went to infinite up the street.

After researching nostril piercings and this location, I randomly decided to face my fears 2 days ago and finally got my nostril pierced. Haley was my piercer, I was EXTREMELY NERVOUS after seeing many people on youtube cry/tear/faint, and I felt lightheaded as soon as I entered her booth (due to not eating since 10hrs prior & my nerves). However, she was absolutely PHENOMENAL! She was nice, honest, patient (which is a huge plus for me since I am very indecisive), professional, and experienced in her craft. I barely felt anything as she pierced me. I surprisingly did not cry/tear, faint, or even flinch. Therefore, if you are truly considering a piercing, do not go off of what you see on youtube/blogs and request Haley!

I initially came in for a nose piercing but changed my mind and got my cartilage instead. The girl who did my piercing was named Panda. I dont think shes still at the shop though. I got this done like two years ago and Im just now doing the review lmao. She was super nice and sweet. Everything was clean. I picked out my jewelry. Went into a room and did the piercing and bam it was done. It healed fine except for a few trauma bumps but everything is good and I still have the jewelry in today that was used for the piercing after 2 years 😅 Yea I should change it now. But cartilage piercings usually take a year to heal anyway

I went here several times to go with my friends to get piercings and once myself to get my nose pierced, the lady at the front counter was very unfriendly & rude & she made me feel pressured, rushed & uncomfortable EVERY TIME Ive gone there. So needless to say I felt uncomfortable getting pierced there so I walked next door to Infinite Body Piercing & they were the total opposite; friendly, took thier time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable with everything before they pierced me...long story short screw No Ka Oi, go to Infinite

This is the only place I like to go but if they dont have an artist to match your needs they will recommend someone at another shop that can. I like that they are honest and thoughtful like that. NoKaOi is also the best for piercings. Ive never experienced an infection and have received sound advice.

Just had a tattoo done there today. Service was great from all the staff. Tom the artist was such a great person to do my tattoo. He checked to make sure I was okay (I have a low threshold for pain) several times during the process. I was really pleased with his work. Healing now so I will update later with pictures.

Great first tattoo experience. I came in for my first session and showed them exactly what I wanted. This final season was way more intensive but Brian have some really good ideas. He took his time with drawing it up and with the actual tattoo process to make it perfect.

I got my vertical bridge done finally. I had an ugly scar from botch job piercings from a different place. Luis was super professional and informative and Gabby was such a sweetheart and helped me with picking the perfect jewelry. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. I didnt think I was going to get a tatoo because for several weeks I visited a few other tatoo artists with a picture in mind and they all told me it was too small and too detailed. When I walked in here on a Saturday night I was greeted by a friendly professional staff and was introduced to Rebecca. I showed her the picture in mind and she too said the same thing but she made an effort to draw what I envisioned.  Rebecca is awesome, personable and a true artist.  Not only do I highly recommend her but this place as well because while I waited for my drawing and my turn for the tattoo I noticed every walk in were greeted in the same manner. A very comfortable clean friendly establishment.

Bill was able to get me in as a walk in while I was in town for a trip, and the whole experience was great! Shop was clean, people were friendly, tattoo turned out awesome. Would absolutely recommend, thanks!

My entire tattoo is completely blown out. The entire thing. There are parts in my tattoo that didn’t even take. This was supposed to be one of my most important tattoos and the woman who did this tattoo whose name I wish I remembered did a terrible job. She was very rude, dismissed everything I had to say about my tattoo and was so heavy handed. Felt like she was ripping my skin. I’m so upset, I thought this shop had potential. The only reason it has 2 stars is because I’ve seen Jessi’s work and hope to have something actually nice done by her. I don’t know what to even do about this tattoo, this is not okay.Edit: I’m almost positive her name is Rebecca.

Unfortunately I have to give one star. Before I continue, I will first like to mention that Hailey and the rest of the staff are great! However, there is one staff member by the name of REBECCA that ruins the entire reputation of the shop. I used the bathroom before going upstairs to get a service done. About 15- 20 minutes later, lovely Rebecca comes and stairs and says to me in a disrespectful and nasty tone The next time you put urine or water all over the toilet seat, make sure you wipe it up. Please keep in mind that this was said in front of other customers in the waiting area, and I can tell it made them uncomfortable as well. I was in complete shock that an employee had the audacity to speak to me that way. Not only did I feel embarrassed but very disrespected. At the end of the day, I was a paying customer and did not deserve to be treated that way. Its also a PUBLIC bathroom and anyone could of used it before or after me, so therefore anyone could have done it!. She thought was okay to assume that I was responsible for It and snap at me as a result. Completely unacceptable and professional. She honestly does not need to work there because she gives the shop a bad name. Sad to have such a bad experience as such a great place.

Great tattoo experience! Not only did we get very nicely done tattoos which you don’t always get on darker skin the atmosphere was great. I decided to get a piercing as well while I was there.

I have a surface microdermic piearcing on my face I wanted to buy and replace it . I called the shop on Friday made the appointment for November 13 at 3:30 .coming from Wilmington Delaware then payed for parking ...just to get there wait 15 min young chic who was handling all of us customers was just act like she didnt want to be there and unfriendly customer sesrvice failed that wasnt the worst ..they had guess pop up artist one from Cali and the chic from Colorado she couldnt find the tools and didnt have her own....then trued to give me and bogus price 🤔🤔🙏 God Guided me up out of there money still in my pocke sorry had to talk about my experience today took a 45 min trip for them to tell me they dont have the tool...

I was pierced by luis, and he was very professional had a lot of information but was so stressed by his job he took offense to a very light joke. if youre getting pierced for the first time i would not go to him. not very personable at all.

The actual piercing went great but I will NEVER Purchase any jewelery from this shop again. Not only did my ball proceed to keep falling off of the ill made septum and was almost impossible (20 minutes each time) to get back on. But the way in wich the ball and septum ring are made are simply idiotic. Pierce but DO NOT BUY THE WONKY JEWELERY

I went in and told the nice lady that I wanted a tongue piercing and she took down all my info and directed me to a man(Luis) I think . I was deathly afraid when I got there, but he talked me through the whole process and just like THAT! It was done!!!! Awesome experience! I plan on going back to get my first tattoo here!!

Ive had two tattoos done by them - an eagle tattoo on my chest and a lion tattoo on my left arm - both are exceptionally done, and Ive been complimented on countless occasions on the detail and artistry of both. They are very clean, and have inspection reports to prove it. Great, fun staff with exception artistry

Customer service is lacking. Im not unhappy with the tattoo but I am unhappy with being underquoted. The person at the front desk tried talk me into working with an artist whos work I did not like, and generally made everything feel rushed and disorganized. If its a tattoo that is important to you, you are better off at another shop.

Tina is doing a touch up revamp on my Phoenix tattoo. She is definitely a talented artist and found her true calling. She is also very quick so you get your moneys worth.

It has been such a wonderful experience. Everyone has been very nice from the welcome to the departure. I went there a couple of times, first for information second to meet with Mony the tattoo artist that fit what I was looking for and then to get my tattoo. Every time it was a great experience. Mony did an amazing job, I gave him some ideas of what I was looking for and some pictures to support it and he created a design just for me which totally fit what I was Looking for without being able to express it fully. He was able to to the design and the tattoo itself in just few hours so less than what I was originally quoted. Keep in mind that the original quote can vary depending on the time it takes to design and for you to approve the design and how long you can go without a break. Mony is extremely nice and just want his customers to be happy. He has over 25 years of experience which speaks volumes and 17 years at this parlor. He knows what he is doing. Prior to go to this parlor I saw reviews that mentioned that it was more expensive. I have to be honest, you get what you pay for. I am very please with what I paid as I was quoted way higher but besides the prices you need to understand that these guys are true artist not part time kids trying to make extra money. They are designing and creating something that you will carry for your whole life. I don’t know for you but for me that’s not something I want to go cheap on and cut corners. I did my research online of the various parlors and work that each artist was doing and picked Mony based on his work, I had no idea how much it would cost as it was secondary to me. The most important was to have highly professional quality work done and Mony did just that. Thank you [email protected]

I got 4 small tattoos. The artist was cool, down to earth, personable and skilled. My appointment was at 1pm and I was finished at 145pm. I will be adding 3 more soon, and getting the services done here.

The tattoo parlor has so much potential, but drops the ball in the customer service arena. Mony and I interacted for a few months via email about design ideas. Once I was ready he required a live consultation. I went but live ~2 hours away and the consult was only 15 min. I gave $100 deposit and booked a date in late spring 2018. Due to health reasons, I needed to reschedule. He was off all summer so my options were limited. It was not until Mar when I was ready. I figured the deposit would need to be paid again, which wasnt a big deal, but I was not expecting his response when I asked him to forego another useless consult. This was his response:I do not remember you, Sorry. I do not give penalties ,this is the rules I follow .I do not have your deposit ,that means you did not show for your appointment .deposits are valid for 3 months only. I can not help you anymore ,Please look for another artist.Sorry.I responded trying to explain that I didnt care about the money but just wanted to avoid a 2 hour drive for another 15 min consult after we met once and had multiple email correspondence. I told him Id show him my deposit receipt. He never responded again. Imagine that ---I can not help you anymore - please look for another artist. If thats not horrible customer service, I dont know what is. What a waste of my time and cash. In a service oriented business, Monys gift as an artist does not excuse his incompetence as a professional. #Monyneedstraining

I go here for all my piercings. The piercers here a good. Ive only gotten two piercing from here so far. My septum and my daith. My septum was done by Luis Garcia and my daith by Louis Molinari. Both pretty cool and gentle piercers.

The young lady was awesome. Ended up I didnt need to get repierced but was calming and very kind. We talked about my birthday, kids, and didnt even notice she put the earring in my ear

Been here several times for piercings for myself....took a friend last weekend to get pierced along with another friend and they said only my friend who was getting pierced could go upstairs.....since when??Both time Ive went Ive had two friends go up with me and only one could watch. Please keep it consistent for that reason Im going to Infinite later and not them.

I walked in late on a Saturday night with a pretty complex design in mind, and NoKaOi was happy to accommodate me. I had 2 tattoos done here. One in 2013 and one in 2020 that I love. Just went in for nipple piercings this past month and had a great experience!

If youre going here for to just buy jewelry for your piercing, just go down the street to Infinite Body Piercing. Theyre a little cheaper, they have a bigger selection and if you buy jewelry from them they put it in for FREE. For some reason they dont do the same here, you have to pay extra $5 even though I paid close to $80 for my nose ring. Save time and money and just go to Infinite.

Customer service lady seems a tad bit biased. Im a woman of color and I noticed her telling someone about the atm machines down the street, after Id already gone upstairs to get a piercing done. Wow, I had to get the internet from my piercer, go back downstairs, across the street to get cash, then return. My money is just as green. Guess they dont care about people posting an honest rating.

I was freaking out about my piercings but my piercer was the best. She helped me with my breathing and made sure I was okay with water and candy. I even told her that I wish I tipped her more! I will be back!

I really loved my experience here I went there because I was referred to them and I would refer anyone that wants to get any kind of body piercing done to go hereThey are very professional, they explain everything to you before and after the procedure and you dont even realize that it happened thats how gentle they are with you !!!

I walked in and the woman at the desk was talking to someone else so I waited patiently to talk with her. Two other women came in behind me and she started talking to them and completely ignored me. Then they left and she walked toward the back of the store still ignoring me. At this point I had been waiting awhile so I just left. It was completely rude and ridiculous. I’m not sure why they chose me to ignore and not the other people but I won’t be back to ask.

Ive had three piercings done here over the past 5 years and have never had any issues with the experience, aftercare, or healing

So I Just Got My Tongue Pierced Today By Haley , And I Love Her And It . I Had It Done Before But Placement Was Wrong Because My Tongue Is So Short . Haley Worked With My Short Tongue , Told Me What She Could Do And She Couldn . I Love My Experience Here , And All The Help They Offer With Readjustments If Need Be . I Will Be Back For Sure ! Im going to keep this short-I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. It was a 25 minute+ wait to even speak to a knowledgeable staff member with what I was hoping to get taken care of. I chose to leave then after a staff member then laughed at me.

I was met with the warmest smile and Haley (the piercer) was absolutely amazing in every way. Ill definitely reccommend you guys to everyone i come across and you shall me seeing my face again

I had an appointment schedule at 6:30 ,😡 and they called me 6:15 on my way driving to say that the person who was suppose to do my piercing fall and broke their arm . Like old are you . 👎🏾 Anyway I want to infinite next door and got my piercing they did a great job 🤗

This place is literally a joke, the girl couldnt even sketch several simple lines without inserting her nasty opinions. Last time I checked, people choose what they want tattooed on them, not the artist! Definitely should re-evaluate some of your talented artists...

I absolutely LOVE Luis... He did four of my piercings and if I can get down there before closing today hell be doing my septum lol... Hes amazing, talks you thru it and is super knowledgable about EVERY type of piercing... I fell in love with him after a botched HCH piercing in AC #djmlol.. He told me my anatomy wasnt even fit for that piercing and I shouldve never been pierced in the first place, then he took it out then repierced me CORRECTLY with a VCH which healed beautifully BTW... I will NEVER go to another piercer lol
