My girlfriend and I have been here three times for a walk in tattoo. We haven’t had any difficulties getting a tattoo or a long wait. Everyone in there has been extremely friendly and the work is good. Between us both we have had 4 different artist who have all done a good job. The prices are decent, we typically have gotten traditional tattoos from the flash books and wall art. Look forward to going back next year!

Went at noon on fridAy to get a walk in and they were open but no one was in the shop. These guys do amazing work and the wall on the side by ESPO ICY is amazing! I recommend

Even though we stopped in on St Patrick’s Day evening; the employees were upbeat and cool.Nick who did our tattoos was cool about letting us have a little hand in the design and worked with us on our idea and color wants.In and out pretty quickly.The shop was clean and had good energy.

Went to Olde City and had Scott Smith complete my first ever tattoo.He listened to what I was looking for, sketched it out, edited it per my requests and inked an awesome tattoo for me! I was comfortable (it hurt, but I felt more than OK to ask for a break if I had needed it), he worked efficiently and I love the tattoo. This ink commemorates a big achievement for me, and I love it. I highly recommend Scott and Olde City- overall a perfect experience!

Carl Hedgepath is the most competent tattoo artist Ive been able to find in Philly in 20yrs. Nine tats. All excellent works. Never once let me down. Book him.Also, there is a hell of a lot of talented artists in the shop but if you prefer intelligent and mature Carl is your man. Not that goofballs cant do amazing tattoos, they can.😉

Everyone was amazing! They made a huge effort to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted. My sister was very emotional about her memorial tattoo and they were very supportive and comforting.

Almost completed a full sleeve with Martin LaCasse, heis one of the few in the area that does traditional Japanese. I love my tattoos and get compliments all the time for them. Great service Marty is a chill dude and have never had issues with scheduling etc. Great Business for Great tattoos.

Great little tattoo shop! This was my first time being tattooed here. I walked-in and got my armpit tattooed right away by Jon. He worked fast and made a really good looking tattoo on me that I know will last me forever. Not only does it look amazing but I know it was done with a lot of technical proficiency and will impress anyone that knows about tattoos. He did a great job being gentle on this sensitive spot while making sure to apply the tattoo thoroughly, and it has healed up really well with no issues. I would definitely go back here for another tattoo.

This was truly an epic experience. Truly an eye opening and humbling journey. Shout out to a true artist and visionary, Henry Hablak for helping create my vision! Also big shout out to Old City Tattoo for having one of the coolest tattoo parlors in the world. I will be back!

Carl is the man. He hit my thin line delicate lace beewings out of the park. the best singe needle artist since I used Bill Funk 30yrs ago.He also did a bang up job on a simple line tat on my left arm. perfect placement, proportion and form. I think the guys in the shop liked this one better then the Bee with font.I think Carl is the best single needle guy in the city right now. At least in the top 5. Thanks.(props to Jason whose 30 year old pure red and orange flames look as fresh as they did the first week, 25 years ago)

My first tattoo was done here by Doug and I couldn’t have made a better choice! Outstanding work, the artists here are all experienced and I’ve never had an issue with healing or touchups! Scott, Doug, Gus, Johnny, Jason, Nick, I’ve had tattooes by them or had my friends tattooed and they are all great choices. Definitely my #1 shop I’ll always come back 👍 The atmosphere is super old school biker I love it, open late, lots of wall ideas too. If you want an awesome tattoo that will last and from an experienced artist then come here!

Not the best quality, neither the best customer service experience. Brought my tattoo already designed and they couldnt make it look the same on my arm. They told my it would cost $60 and they finally charged me $100. Apart from that, the guy made you feel uncomfortable. If you want to have a good time getting your first tattoo done, dont go there.

Nick Panzer is my artist! He definitely cares about his work and listens to what his clients want. He also educates his clients on the different styles and types of tattoos that they are interested in.He’s done my sleeve and I could not be happier! They don’t make great artists like Nick any more! I visited from out of town and emailed the shop a week in advance, was emailing back and forth multiple times about tatts info and more just to be told just do a walk in. So when I came I did a walk in and was told to give my info about what I wanted etc again and they took my info and said they call when available showed pictures of what I wanted everything was great. No call, so I called after a few hours for update to be told can I get there in 16mins but I also stated I was from out of town and could I be called in ahead just to give me some time. Got to place to be told a million excuses about why they didn’t wanna do the colors in a tatt that I already sent and confirmed hours before. It was all just a bunch of lies and excuses and waisted time I do not recommend speaking with the front desk she say anything that comes to mind instead of the truth or learning the correct information to give to customers. Very bad experience. Not sure how the artist are but Mimi should be out of a job for poor customer service.

After a lot of research I decided to have my custom sleeve done at Old City. It took a while to see Jason to have it done (3 month wait) but the wait was well worth it. Jason took the time to create an absolute masterpiece on my arm! Old City Tattoo is the best of the best...

I had 2 tattoos done by 2 different people Martin and Karl within 2 weeks of each other..1 piece was for my mom she passed away a few weeks before the tattoo and the second was Talulah written on my arm which my mom called me and I absolutely loved both of my tattoos.. I had great conversation with my artists and I can’t wait to get back in there for another tattoo.. The lady who answered the phone when I called was very professional and nice. They took what I wanted tattooed and made it happen.. the piece for my mother came out better then the photo I gave..

Great tattoos and everybody was chill including the desk person. I like that theyre still doing walk-ins when most places arent right now. Makes it much easier to manifest my ideas in a suitable time frame.

After contacting them for an appointment, I sent a copy of what I was looking to have tattooed on my calf. Several emails were sent to find out whod be doing the work, but I never got a response. Spoke with Steve a couple weeks later and he assured me he could handle my design without making any significant changes. Had my virgin ink done on Black Friday and while not a pleasant experience as far as the pain, I endured the 2 1/2 hours to the end. The result was exactly what I was looking for. Steve did a great job and after taking care of it for a month, I couldnt be happier with the results.

EDIT: I just called and asked for the owner and some chic who answered hung up after she said I dont know you well genius , im a client, but i guess you dont give as shot about clients do you? If you did Scott Smith would not be working there.RUN!!!!! Do not walk, RUN from this place. My friend amd I were in town for a day from California and figured any tatto artist worth their weight in Pennsylvania would easily be qualified enough to tattoo a simple state flower . Nope. We have what appears to be a demogorgen on our feet. My friends man owns the oldest tattoo shop in San Diego and every other artist weve shown this too is horrified. Effin horrified. I am beyond upset and am now waiting for the healing process to be completed so I can have this fixed. Run away from Steve Scott.

Scott did nice work on my wife but was very unfriendly almost like we inconvenienced him by being there. Very disappointing for her first tattoo, and for $160.00 for 20 mins he could have at least smiled. You can do better . We wont be backGo down the street to port side parlor and body graphics see Scott@30 south 2nd street. Just my 2 cents

Well I went in there with my dad trying to get a tattoo. We deposited 100 dollars and made an appointment. I talked to one of the guy who said he would draw something for me before the appointment. First of all he never drew me something, and second of all he canceled the appointment saying he had a dentist appointment. Who does that?, especially after taking a deposit and agreeing on a date and time. They told me to reschedule for a new appointment by calling the store. When I asked to see what he drew, no reply. I dont know what these peoples deal was but I never went back to get my 100$ back because of how awful and unprofessional the emails were. Anyways If your trying to get a tattoo, go to any of the hundreds of other shops in Philly.

Love Fish she is a great tattoo artist. If I ever go to Philly I will see her again.

Woah sally these friggin jokesters gave my daughter a gargantuan tatt2 of a big huge mermaid right on hr beautiful skin and they didnt neven ask me to sign a waive her or ask if i was ok with it first shes way too young to make a derision like that on her own shes 22. givin em a couple stars tho cause the quality of the skin pic is way better than the jester tattoo i regretful got back in 96 when i was boozin too much and maria said she liked bad boys so i tried to impress her but yeah right caught her sharin a roccos steaks with mikey p behind my back, women are lousy thats what im tryna say! xoxo bruno

Very poor organization. Was told to come at 4:30 and that I might have to wait 15 minutes for a tattoo, called with no answer. When I get there at 4:45 they told me my spot has been taken and I have to come in another time. Waste of time and money with mediocre artist.
