After weeks of doing research, I found myself always coming back to Anthonys portfolio. I was looking for someone who specialized in mandala/dot work. Driving 4 hours from pinetop-lakeside to finally meet with him after 3 months of waiting for my appointment to arrive. I honestly can say this was the best tattoo experience Ive ever had. Anthony is a professional... I walked into the shop, he greeted me, had the design ready as I was filling out some paperwork. It was just all business (in the best way) and I loved that. Small side chat, nothing over the top. I plugged my headphones in and he put a movie on for me and we just went to work. We put in just over 3 hours of work, and I seriously love my new hand piece and its my favorite tattoo. If youre looking for a custom yet unique design, this is your guy. Super happy with everything from beginning to end. Ill be coming back when I figure out my next design. Thank you again Anthony.

Cannot recommend 27 Tattoo enough. The vibes are immaculate and from the first moment of contact with multiple artists I felt at ease. Brianna did an amazing job with my floral tattoo and Apryl is a 80/90s pop culture dream. As a bigger person I never felt uncomfortable or questioned.I truly cannot recommend 27 Tattoo Studio enough.

Absolutely in love with these tattoos and the artists! My partner and I have both gotten tattoos from Julian and we plan on getting more!Update: Im absolutely in love with the final product and already have more tattoos scheduled!

Waited a bit to be able to get on Anthonys list, and let me tell you it was worth it. The best experience Ive had. From the amazing looking and at home feeling shop, to the process of getting the tattoo. I am in the process of getting my arm done, and I am so in love with what I have thus far. I get compliments daily. Can not wait to complete and continue to show of this awesome art work.

The sheer force of talent this business has to offer is astonishing. Every artist is incredibly talented. I personally had two pieces done by the wonderful Genesis & i plan on going back to them for countless more. For some tattoos are just for fun and for others they are very personal forms of expression, I could not recommend any place higher for your tattoo needs especially when it comes to professionalism & compassion. you will not be disappointed!Edit on 1/20/22Ive been back to this shop three times since posting my original review and i didn’t think my praises could be higher but they are. Ive had a piece done by Julian and a second in the works. Julian does amazing work and is a wonderful person. i have attached photos for reference, (the first being fresh & the second being healed) his artistic style is so unique and gorgeous.Every interaction Ive had with everyone here has been kind & positive, i can be an anxious person at times but never have i been made to feel unheard, unwelcome or disrespected even a little bit here. I would encourage everyone to see the talent these artists have to offer because it’s all amazing.

Ive been a huge fan of Anthonys for years. So when I moved to Phoenix, I knew I had to get tattooed by Anthony. I went in for a consultation and had everything set up. About a week before my actual appointment, I had a change of heart and wanted to go a completely different route. Not only was Anthony completely patient he was amazing about doing a complete redesign. His design turned out so great and Im constantly getting compliments.The shop was super clean. Anthony was incredibly professional and wasted no time. The design was ready to go as soon as I walked in and he instantly began working. He was super courteous and so great to work with.I cant wait for him to finish the rest of my sleeve! Would HIGHLY recommend.

Im so glad I found this place. Anthony and Apryl have created the coolest shop in town. Everything about it is top notch. The artists are all very creative, very experienced, and very professional. The shop is clean, modern, stylish and welcoming. They have artists that cater to every style and taste. They treat you the same no matter if its your first tattoo or your 50th. I have now had 3 tattoos done by Anthony and honestly I cant imagine going anywhere else. I know that hell always come up with a great design that is far better than anything I could think of. And the execution is always perfect. The only bummer is sometimes the wait list can be long if youre set on a specific artist. But dont let that dissuade you. It speaks directly to the quality of work they produce and however long you have to wait, its totally worth it.

I came here in early December and Genesis was awesome! I actually had my appt. set for a month prior but I had to reschedule. Genesis was super helpful and kind and made me feel not-so-awkward about it. The tattoo itself is phenomenal! Im in love with it and I admire it daily. The overall experience was amazing as well, Genesis is super warm and friendly, as is the rest of the staff. They are a great conversationalist, very funny, and made me feel super comfortable and safe, especially as a lgbtq+ poc. The entire shop is insanely clean and the staff are going above and beyond Covid cleanliness standards. I cant wait to come back!

A bit late on this review but I got motivated to leave one because I’m looking to book another session with Anthony. He was so precise about the size/placement of my piece and was able to execute my vision of balancing out my shoulders. All around a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to see the new shop space!

Ive waited MONTHS for Anthony to have an open spot. When he started booking again Ive never booked anything so fast in my life before. He took the image in my head & made it into something WAY BETTER than what I imagined. The wait is way worth it. Ive never been so happy about my FIRST REAL TATTOO (I have 4 tiny ones but this 1 is my all time favorite). 27 Tattoo Studio is definitely my go to for tattoos. I cant wait to come back (:

Bzzzt! The buzz of a tattoo gun isn’t completely foreign to me. I’ve had a few experiences with different artists and shops. 27 Tattoo is my absolute favorite studio.Reader’s Digest version:- Coolest atmosphere- Super clean- Talented artistsFor those of you doing your research…There’s a visual feast as soon as you walk in. Original art, trinkets, pop culture, and collectibles abound, but somehow it’s so organized that it doesn’t feel cluttered at all. Unlike what you might expect, it’s very bright inside. Tattoo templates line the walls, and it’s fun to think about all the people who’ve come and gone, with something permanent to take away. It’s fastidiously clean, even in the bathrooms.The music playing is primarily rock, but has great variation within that genre to keep things interesting when you’re sitting for hours under a needle. I swear my artist Anthony would tattoo to the beat of the music, but he said it’s not intentional, haha. There’re also TVs going if you prefer to be distracted.Okay, so to go along with the fact that Anthony is a very talented artist (and from what I can tell, one of the few in AZ that really specialize in uber clean line work and dot work tattoos…), there is the caveat that you have to be willing to wait for his waitlist to open up. And to pay. It’s not cheap, but as they say, “You get what you pay for;” he’s an expert and he’s running a cool, clean shop. Anthony was timely with my appointments. He was talkative (but not overly so; there’s definitely a balance), and he was willing to answer all my curious inquiries about tattoos and a vegan diet. He was utterly patient when I had too many ideas, was indecisive, and even a little OCD about my design. Oh, and one more thing, I’m a photographer and he was open to me taking photos and videos when inspiration struck. All that, and he apparently has “feather hands,” meaning there was minimal pain during the process. My hubby was also tattooed by him and would agree there was no pain. I think the only negative I’d mention was that email responses could take a while sometimes, but he would always get back to me. I had to remind myself that not everyone sits behind a desk like I do.The other thing I’d like to share is that the shop did not push any products on me. They sell Tattoo Lovers Salve, but Anthony had first just told me to use a simple fragrance-free lotion. When I didn’t seem to react well to that, he offered other natural and affordable solutions like coconut oil, but when that was a no-go due to allergies, I tried to salve they sell, and it worked miracles for my Asian and keloid-prone skin.Overall, I’d 100% recommend Anthony (and 27 Tattoo - I follow the other artists on Instagram!) to anyone wanting to get inked. In fact, my friend already has an appointment :)

I can not recommend this place enough! I got my first bigger tattoo done by Julian, and I am obsessed with it! It turned out so so good! He was such a nice and chill person the whole time. I was having some anxiety and he was so understanding and asked me multiple times how Im doing. Super awesome experience. Super talented and awesome work is done there. Will definitely schedule another tattoo with Julian in the future. Thanks you for the awesome peice!

I have wanted a tattoo for a long time but could never put into words exactly what I wanted. Brianna exceeded all my expectations by taking a rambling short summery, a few random pictures, talking me out of being super boring, and putting me completely at ease with my first real tattoo. She has an insanely light touch and I was more shocked by how little it hurt. Thank you so much Brianna! You’re an amazing artist!

Had the absolute best experience here! The shop is beautiful and open and bright and comfortable. My friend and I both wanted tattoos from Genesis. I got a Saturn, my friend got an Aries symbol. They were quick and painless. And Genesis was so wonderful and calm and sweet. If I ever make my way back to Phoenix I’ll definitely have them create some more art on me. ♥️ Literally couldn’t recommend more!

I would not recommend what so ever for any reason, went yestersay as a walk in. For starters Lindsey i believe her name was was very unfriendly. When i asked about curving the name i wanted she said yeah you can come back tomorrow if you want i dont have time for this. It took all of 5 minutes to do my tattoo, she was very impersonal. I almost fell over and im pretty sure my jaw hit the ground when she said $120. It was 10 letters 1/2 x maybe 4 inches. KANE HARLEY was all she did. Worth $120 decide for yourself.

I found Anthony on Instagram last year. I was originally looking for someone to do a coverup on a horrible wrist tattoo (17-year-old decisions, ya know?) and here I am, a year later, working on a full sleeve!Anthony is so incredibly talented, I have not found anyone who can do what he does with black ink. I love his ability to take my ideas and random photos found on the internet and make them into original works of art.I attached a few photos of our beautiful work in progress 😎

Aprly and the rest of the staff is by far the most professional, level of cleanliness, friendliest, and just all around great people that you’ll ever meet. They do their job better than other studios because they do what they love and they are damn great at it. Just look at their rating and it’s an easy choice if you’re thinking about getting a new tattoo. They are booked a couple months out but trust me and everyone else who wrote a review. It’ll be worth it.

I went here for my first tattoo after hearing amazing things about the studio. I made an appointment with Anthony, one of the owners. I was pleased with every part of my experience. The studio was super clean and beautiful. Everyone was welcoming and to my surprise,nothing felt intimidating.Anthony was nice, helpful and patient with my questions. He helped me figure out placement and size and wasn’t annoyed when I asked to see my art in a couple locations. Everything was explained before hand so there were no surprises. His work is so beautiful and I can’t wait to get another!This is a wonderful tattoo studio! I recommend it to everyone!

After seeing Anthonys work my brothers and I knew we wanted to get our sibling tattoo done by him. We were not disappoint. He was very helpful, professional and a joy to work with. You can tell hes very passionate about what he does and it shows. Not only was he great but the actual shop was very clean and neat. Would definitely recommend anybody to go to Anthony and 27 tattoo if theyre looking for a great experience!

So far I have only worked with Genesis and words cannot describe how amazing the experience was. Not only did they make sure I was fully comfortable with what was happening, but they were present and thoughtful during the entire process. Ive gotten plenty of tattoos in my life, and Gen definitely has been one of the best artists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The shops COVID precautions are amazing and they require you to wipe down anything you bring in and wash your hands before you sit down. All in all its a great shop that has great people working there. I will definitely be back again!

I truly cant recommend this studio enough! Ive seen Genesis twice now, once for a tattoo and then a touch up, and they are such a talented, lovely person. They made sure I was comfortable at all times and never did anything without my consent, even down to making sure I was comfortable with what we were talking about. My tattoo turned out exactly like I envisioned and the whole experience was great! The shop itself is clean and inviting, and even though I havent been tattooed by the other artists, they were all very nice when I spoke to them in passing.I also appreciate that they take Covid precautions very seriously. I felt safe and comfortable at all times-- its nice to know that the people here are looking out for everyones safety.I hope to continue working with Genesis on future pieces and Im definitely planning in returning to 27 Tattoo!!

While it did take a hot minute to get on Apryls books, it was 1000% worth the wait. The consultation was easy, and she knew exactly what questions to ask to create the perfect design-- it was identical to what I had in mind. She also has a light hand and checked in with me frequently throughout the session. The work is gorgeous and it was by far the easiest tattoo healing process Ive ever experienced, despite the fact this was arguably my biggest. This is where you want to go when you want to invest in a beautiful piece!

Ive gotten a lot of work done here, all by the owner and artist Anthony, and every piece and the experience of getting it has been amazing.Hes an extremely talented artist and very friendly person. Every one of the artists that Ive met while getting work done here has also been easy going and sociable, as well as professional and talented. Based on the work Ive gotten, the work Ive seen come out of it, and the experiences of every one I know whos also been tattooed here, Id confidently rank this among the best tattoo studios in the city, probably the state.

I have never had an experience that was less than the best at 27 Tattoo Studio. Beyond the fact that the shop is so clean and uniquely decorated, I have to recommend Frankie as the best tattoo experience Ive had. From the beginning, she was so willing to fit me into her schedule the day after I inquired. When I came to the shop she was totally prepared to listen and COLLABORATE on my vision. I have never had an artist that was so humble, attentive, and personable. The result far surpassed my expectations and 27 Tattoo will always be my first recommendation!

This review deserves a couple a parts:1. The studio and staff- great, professional very clear on all expectations and friendly. The studio itself is really fun looks great and is clean.2. Brianna - Brianna is wonderful person to work with. I made an appointment with her met, we discussed a loose design concept, location and size. I provided her with some images of the subject matter. She made a suggestion as to a specific point of focus. Long story short. I have a great piece of artwork and am very happy with the whole experience (well as happy as you can be when needle jabs are involved). Her work is clean and looks great!

Discovered 27 tattoo on google. So glad I did! Went and had a 20 year old tat refreshed and added to by Julian. The shop is extremely clean and sanitary, welcoming and professional. Julian is great. Took his time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted to get done and the color pops! I highly recommend and will be going back again when I finally decide on where I want my next one!

Genesis was absolutely amazing and nailed down exactly what I wanted for my dream tattoo!!! They provided such an amazing comfortable experience especially for someone without many tattoos getting a pretty big tattoo, it was an amazing process and I cant wait to book again in the future! I felt 100% safe in the shop and it was one of the cleanest nicest experiences I highly recommend if youre looking for a shop, this is the place!!! I was lucky enough to get a spot with Genesis and let me tell you, it was just as I had hoped. I had searched for a good year for someone who could do beautiful pointillism, anime tattoos and after what seemed like forever, I found Genesis on Instagram! We booked, I got in and I got exactly what I wanted for my tattoo and it’s incredibly beautiful. I Cannot wait for more to come, they have beautiful artwork and a very soft hand. I didn’t even feel the tattoo, very pain free!Salon is absolutely adorable, clean and modern. Loved seeing all of the artwork of the other artists all over the wall and I felt completely comfortable and at ease the whole session. Parking was validated and had a cute coffee shop next door for after your tat!Totally recommend.

Anthony was able to get me in before my initial appointment so I didn’t have to wait. He not only got it done fast, but the lines were thin and detailed which is exactly what I was looking for. Studio was clean, even other artists were nice to chat to as they walked by. Not only did I like it, but my mom has an appointment scheduled for her first tattoo with Anthony because of my great experience.

My experience at 27 tattoo was amazing. First, the studio is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My artist had the stencil ready when I walked in the door, I asked for one thing to be added to it and he was more than willing to add it and re print the stencil. Follow the shop and the artists on instagram to check out the amazing work they do. I would highly recommend any artist in the shop. On a side note they also do amazing charity work which is something rare amounts tattoo shops.

Frankie does amazing work! From intro to the goodbyes she was kind, courteous, and easy to talk to. I consider myself lucky to have her work on me. I have been getting non stop compliments about her work. The entire studio is incredible. The art work, the layout, and of course all the tattooists. This studio is what all tattoo shops should be like.

This is a awesome studio! It is not just a tattoo shop as you really feel that you have stepped into an atmosphere of a studio. Quality artists with a great variety of styles.. I was looking for a place to get my first tattoo and found 27 Tattoo/Anthony on Instagram. He had a waitlist but I fell in love with Anthonys stuff, his line work and geometric designs. I started emailing with Anthony and he was quick and responsive. We scheduled a time for me to come in for a consultation. At the consultation we discussed what I wanted, where I wanted it and what it would cost. At the end of the appointment we scheduled a time for me to come in and get the tattoo.At my tattoo appointment, everything went really smooth. The space was clean and well decorated. Anthony presented what he had designed for me and I loved it. Since it was my first tattoo I was a little nervous but Anthony made me feel really comfortable. It took about an hour for me to get my tattoo and I really enjoyed the experience. I love my tattoo. I would go back to 27 Tattoo with no hesitation!

This place gets it. From the initial concept and consultation to the tattoo appointment and completion - this is how the tattoo experience should be.The studio is very clean and well taken care of. The vibe and decor is super fun and not the typical cliche tattoo studio.Apryl was awesome. I was both anxious and nervous to see my design for the first time but she nailed it at first sight without any adjustments. I let her choose the colors and I am glad I did, as she chose perfectly and better than I would or could have. She worked quickly but gently. She is truly an artist.I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the future.

I got tattooed by Genesis back in December and absolutely loved my tattoo, they do some of the best work Ive seen and I cannot wait for their books to open up again. Also, this shop is REALLY good when it comes to handling this pandemic. Theres some tattoo shops out there right now who dont care enough to wear a mask but 27 tattoo studio keeps their rules and regulations in check and stand by what they post on instagram. I have literally recommended this shop to so many people looking for tattoos even though Ive only been there once!

I had been following Anthony on Instagram for a few years, so you could imagine how excited I was when I saw that his books had opened. I emailed him a vague idea for a tattoo since I was wasn’t completely sure what I wanted, and he responded quickly and professionally. He also made sure to work with my schedule when booking a consultation, which made everything easier.I was really nervous going into the consultation, but Anthony was friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. I ended up wanting the tattoo to be a bit bigger, so Anthony enlarged it about 20%. I always worry that I’m inconveniencing tattoo artists with questions or changes, but his demeanor was really kind and made me feel at ease. I loved my tattoo as well, I now have gorgeous blackberries forever on my arm ❤️The tattoo studio was also really clean and cool looking; there were previously tattooed designs all over the walls. They have good music taste too, so if you forget your ear buds you’ll be okay!

I have been tattooed at 27 Tattoo Studio in 3 separate occasions and referred 2 other people to their shop. Recently, I had a tattoo touched up by an artist at the studio I didnt know, and wasnt thrilled with how it turned out, but Apryl was so great and got me in quickly so she could personally fix it. Now I love my tattoo, along with the first one I had done there about 3 years ago. Very cool environment and such talented artists, I couldnt be happier with my experience.

First I would like to squash the anxieties of this shop being located in downtown Phoenix. There is a parking garage literally steps away from the shop and parking is guaranteed by the shop during visits. Plus there is designated spots to reduce confusion.With that being said, due to the current climate the world is in, tattoos could be perceived as a risk. However, I havent been in an establishment thats taken more precaution than this one, FOR GOOD REASON! :) They have you sanitize your possessions, wash your hands and have a good fitting mask on at all times. In addition, during visits you and only you are allowed inside, no friends/family.Now to get to the good stuff. The work performed at this shop is top notch. I have a specific artist to reccomend that does extra clean/crispy work. Genesis(they/them) does fabulous work. Their style is nothing that Ive seen before and will leave any client with a one-off unique tattoo. The best way to go about it is to present your idea and let them just do it creative justice and I promise anyone that theyll be happy with the end result.

First of all, one of the coolest tattoo shops I’ve ever been to. You could tell that they care about what they do! I had a last minute appointment with Genesis and she’s absolutely amazing. Super cool and talented with her unique style. I got a few small ones and she did such a beautiful job on the design and details. 10000/10 for Genesis ✨

Anthony was incredibly professional and was ready to go the moment I walked in for my appointment. While I was filling out paperwork he was setting up his station with efficiency. I was impressed by how quickly he used his time and respected mine. While it wasn’t a long time in the chair he did make sure to check that I was ok for the duration of the session. I still love my tattoo and many people think it is a real grease mark instead of a tattoo. Thank you again.

I am very happy I found such a fabulous studio. My tattoo was done by Apryl27. Shes an excellent artist. Ive watched the work of all the artists, you couldnt go wrong with any one of them. 27Tattoo is so clean, employees are friendly and listen to what youre looking for. They are really interested in making you comfortable and happy. Beautiful forearm piece..love it.

I got my first and second tattoos from Genesis and they were amazing. Genesis is an amazing artist and goes further than I could’ve even imagined to create a safe and happy environment. As a first timer, they made sure I was comfortable, informed, and confident in every decision I made, I can’t imagine a better experience. I can’t wait to get tattooed by them again, their energy is positively radiant.

The Google reviews do not lie, this place is absolutely amazing.I was looking to get my first tattoo, a half sleeve, and I had no idea how to find a tattoo artist to do what I wanted to do or what the final design would even look like, and I was blessed to find 27 Tattoo Studio and Kevin!Cant say enough good things about how incredible of an artist Kevin is and just how awesome this shop is in general. If you are looking for the highest quality of work they likely have an artist who does that style of tattoo/design. Will recommend Kevin and 27 Tattoo Studio for as long as they are around, Im super ocd so I have incredibly high standards for detail and design and Kevin went above and behind!!!

I have been coming to 27 studio for years and I have been lucky enough to be tattooed by many of the artist there. Every single person who works there is just that, artists! They are all so talented at what they do and they all have so much passion. The studio itself is spectacular. Always so clean and it’s so unique. From the penny’s on the floor in the bathroom to the three different levels of the studio. I found 27 almost 5 years ago and refuse to go any where else!!

I had a great experience at 27 Tattoo Studio. The shops atmosphere is relaxed and professional, which is definitely a reflection of the artists that work there. The studio space is sleek and modern, with all different types of eye-catching art work on the walls. Its easy to tell that the shop owners take great pride in their studio and work.

I recently visited the shop in March and was tattooed by the owner Anthony. I was well beyond impressed with the atmosphere of the shop and how friendly all the artists were. Anthony tattooed a wolf on my chest and to this day it is one of my favorite pieces on my body. He knew what he was doing and did everything in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend getting a piece done by him if you’re able to.

My artist was Apryl and I absolutely love my tattoo. This was my first tattoo and she made the entire process easy and chill. I loved the environment at the shop and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo!

Had a very good experience !! I looked up shops near me checked out their website super straight forward saw Julian’s work shot him a email and received a follow back appointment as soon as possible. Beyond satisfied and a great shop to check out in the heart of Downtown Phoenix.

I took my daughter for her first real tattoo, very clean very professional studio.its always nice to find out the owners are fellow vegans.her artist did a very clean respectable job and thats coming from me, a man with over 300 hours of tattoos including work from one of the greatest tattoo artist alive that is currently working on my back, just saying Ive been around and can tell the difference in shops. I will be getting work done here

I had the best experience with Genesis at 27 tattoo studio! They were great with communication and made my whole experience wonderful. I am new to tattoos and Genesis took the time to make sure I was well prepared before the day and also very thorough with after care instructions. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I had a wonderful experience getting tattooed by Anthony. I came in for my consultation and gave Anthony an idea of what I wanted. When I came in a few weeks later for my tattoo, I was amazed by the design he came up with. It was exactly what I had envisioned in my head. Everyone at the shop is highly professional and the shop is exceptionally clean and tidy. My tattoo came out beautifully and I love all the details that Anthony added. The line work is so clean and the dotwork is exactly what I wanted. I had done a lot of research prior to choosing Anthony because I knew I wanted a dotwork tattoo, and as soon as I saw his work, I knew that he was the perfect artist for me. I plan on getting more tattoos done at this shop and I have recommended them to others as well.

By far the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. Apryl has been/is my tattoo consultant and I absolutely adore her and her work. I have recommended many people to this tattoo shop and feel confident with recommending friends/family to any of the tattoo artists here. If you are in the market for a custom tattoo, you need to get an appointment set up with one of the artists here. If the $$$ bothers you, I wouldnt recommend you wasting their time. You will not be disappointed.

First Id like to start by saying how beautiful and clean this shop is, I would prefer to drive 30 minutes to it rather than any shop closer to me in chandler or tempe. I went in last month to get a mandala on my chest done by Anthony, he was extremely patient and has a very calming demeanor which is helpful if you are ever anxious about getting a piece done. Days working up to my tattoo I was a bit nervous but he assured me I had nothing to worry about. He worked on my piece in the private studio on the top floor which had its own tv and bathroom, along with some good tunes playing, lots to take your mind off things if you happen to have a lengthy tattoo. He was extremely gentle and there was nothing painful or uncomfortable about my experience. Hes a great conversationalist as well, we had a lot to talk about considering he enjoyed films so much and I happen to work at a movie theater. Upon finishing the tattoo he made sure to ask permission to photograph the piece in which I approved, and said hed be happy to give a FREE touch up within the following 3 months. Thank you Anthony for a divine tattoo experience! I would recommend to anyone.

I reccomend 27 Tattoo Studio to everyone I talk to about tattoos. The shop is very clean and the artists are always super nice. Ive gotten tattooed by Anthony a couple times and both times I have had no complaints. Friendly, clean, and awesome atmosphere. Best shop in Phoenix.

I reached out to Genesis for an anime tattoo with an idea I had been sitting on for awhile. They created exactly what I wanted and they were so welcoming at the studio. They made my experience so comfortable! I was able to watch The Office while getting tattooed ;) The studio was very clean and the layout was set up for social distancing. I do recommend coming to Genesis or anyone at this shop, depending on what type of work you’re looking for! I can’t wait to return to get another piece :)

I’ve gotten two tattoos here from Jen when she was an artist here. The first time I emailed her about an idea I had been wanting and let her design it on her own. She did an amazing job capturing exactly what I wanted. The second time was also with her when they were doing some Halloween special a few years ago. I had an appointment set up but the day before, I broke my leg and was unable to make the appointment. She was kind enough to change the date back and still do the Halloween special that was going on. I’ll definitely be coming again in the future!

The studio itself is beautiful! Ive still been weary with covid, but all the folks in this studio took all covid protocols very seriously and it made me feel extra safe.I had an appointment with Lina Lovely and she is an exceptional artist. She made me feel comfortable, consistently checked in on how I was feeling, and we had fun conversation throughout my session! And I LOVE the art she designed for my leg pieces. I couldnt be happier with how they turned out :) The 4½ hours flew by!Also shoutout to Apryl, she was real fun to talk to as well :)

This has got to be my most pleasant tattoo experience by far! Genesis has such a gentle hand and made the experience very comfortable and nice. Receiving my tattoo from 27 Tattoo Studio was a great experience!Apryl is a great artist; I came in with poor articulation of my ideas and she translated that to a great sketch. I could tell that she was genuinely committed to giving me a piece that would look good, and it does. I constantly get compliments on it.I live in Flagstaff for school, but without any shops there that pleased me, I decided to make the trips down to go to 27 Tattoo Studio and I was not disappointed (the tattoo took three sessions).Pricing is very fair--it is worthwhile to pay for an artist as talented as the ones here.

Genesis is crazy talented. They have done two tatts for me (so far!) and both were executed flawlessly with beautiful dot work detail. Beyond being an awesome artist, Genesis is a kind and welcoming person, making your time in their chair a pleasure. If you’re looking for an amazing black work tattoo, I can’t recommend them enough. In addition, 27 Tattoo Studio has a cool, artistic vibe and is filled with creatives. I’d be thrilled to be tatted by any of their artists (though my heart belongs to Genesis’ dot work)!

I had my appointment with Apryl and it was a pleasure to get tattooed by her, minus the the standard pain of getting a tattoo, of course. The shop is a very cool space with a great atmosphere. Everyone one there was super nice. My tattoo by Apryl exceeded my expectations and I am beyond in love with it. I just got it about a month ago and have referred multiple people to the shop. I will definitely be back again. Highly recommend this studio!

Ive had Genesis for a couple tattoos now and I am just blown away everytime. They do a phenomenal job, take their time and just seem to know exactly how to make it perfect. I highly recommend them! This spot is clean, quiet, the artists each have relatively private spaces and they meticulously manage the environment.Waivers are paperless, the artists seem to listen, the quality of the work is phenomenal.The only reason I wouldnt give them a full five stars is because it is seemingly difficult to get an appointment, and there are long waits between appointments (maybe this is artist dependent?). They must be in demand, which is a good problem to have but the wait to be seen can be inconvenient.I was tattooed by Aaron Riddle in August and I am still waiting to schedule my next appointment. we

My friend recommended 27 tattoo to me she gets tattooed there and I was recommended to go there and I asked for Apryl. I was super stoked I went in and I did a consult she was so nice so validating so kind so understanding and we started my sleeve a few months later and shes been amazing to work with communicates so well always keeps her appointments and does amazing work super kind the work looks amazing everyone in the studio is so positive and upbeat I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a really good tattoo. This place is very inclusive and just goes above and beyond anything and everything I could have expected from a tattoo parlor I always think about tattoo shops being like people standing out front and smoking and this one is not like that its so clean and so kind and so accepting of everyone night absolutely love this place.

This shop is awesome. I had considered getting a tattoo for the last 12 years, but for various reasons pushed it back over and over. This shop came very highly recommended by my co-worker, and after meeting Blake I understood why. Blake is great at what he does, from sketching and then drawing the design to doing the actual tattoo, Im thrilled with the end result.

I went here because of the excellent review, but Unfortunately i did not have a good experience. I went in to get a tattoo by Lindsey C. She did as i asked, but seemed to be a little rude then i contact her two days later because the tattoo clearly needed a touch up, and i didn’t have attitude or blamed her just asked about a touch up, and she got defensive then finally i come in to get the touch up, and she was very rude, and rushed me out. The touch up wasn’t even good, and i will probably have to go to another shop and pay someone who will do it right.

Wow! I’m super happy I came across this tattoo shop when I did. The shop is completely astonishing, the way they have everything set up and how clean it is. Especially now during covid they have precautions you have to follow as soon as you step into the shop, which is a major plus to. I just recently got my shin done by Genesis, and Omgawd I’m in lovvvveeeee!!! They did such an amazing job! Like super amazing job. All the line work etc... also I can be such an introvert sometimes but as soon as I meet them I didn’t feel nervous or get a minor anxiety attack, hahah, they actually listened to what I wanted and made me feel comfortable. Genesis made my tattoo come to life. Super excited to get my next one done on the 30th of January!!

My wife got a piece from Anthony about a year ago, I was immediately jealous of the design and execution of her piece. I live in Dallas and knew immediately I wanted to get something from him. I messaged Anthony about getting a piece during the last week of October when I was in town. He was already booked but I was able to get an appointment during his Halloween flash and I’m extremely happy with it. He hit me up saying that he’d allow me to come get a design he already drawn up because of a last minute opening and I jumped at the chance! His work is CLEAN and meticulous. First off, I would pay an admission to this place just to tour the studio and look at the art. It’s gorgeous, super clean, full of awesome art, nerdy touches, and delightfully eerie curios. The artists are all top notch. I was tattooed by Anthony. He is first and foremost a true ARTIST who also happens to be one of the very best at tattooing skin. Also on that “very best” list are his wife Apryl and their crew of artists. These two know how to find amazing talent and bring them into their studio, each artist specializing in something different.Anthony’s IG convinced me he was the best for what I wanted. He met with me for a consultation at the studio, listened to my concept, and discussed his ideas for what I wanted. (Exactly the experience I was looking for) A few weeks later, I saw the amazing piece he designed, and we went ink-to-skin. He was detailed, careful, thorough, and I will certainly be going to him for the rest of my work.Do yourself a favor and follow their artists on IG and you’ll see for yourself. Genesis is such an angel, honestly. They go above and beyond and create such a safe space! They tattooed my calf, which is a meaty part of my body so obviously it’s very sensitive and twitchy, and they were so nice and gentle. I cannot wait to get tattooed by them again, they’re genuinely such a good artist and such a kind person.

I had a tattoo done by Apryl at 27 Tattoo, and I am absolutely in love with it! Apryl is a great artist and was fun to work with. I researched before contacting the shop and knew that I wanted Apryl to do my tattoo. I emailed her with my idea and got a timely response to set up a consultation and come into the shop. I spoke with her about my design, paid my deposit, and set up my appointment. She usually has a wait - I waited 3 months - but it is well worth it! I was nervous going into this process because I wouldnt see the design until the day of my appointment, but I couldnt be more happy with what she came up with. As for the actual tattooing process, Apryl talked me through everything. She made sure I liked the placement, and talked through the color choices while we were doing the tattoo. I highly recommend this shop! Not only was Apryl amazing, but all of the other artists are great as well!

I got my first tattoo here. All I wanted was a little skeleton key and I figured it must be fate when I saw that their logo had a key in it as well. My artist was super sweet and did an amazing job at calming my nerves, being patient with me and executing my tattoo exactly how I imagined it! The line work is immaculate, and there has been absolutely NO fading for the 4 years Ive had this tattoo. Some of my newer tattoos have faded quite tremendously, but this one is still in nearly perfect condition.I can not recommend this place enough.
