Golden Rule Tattoo Camelback

Ive been to The Golden Rule Tattoo in the Roosevelt District and yesterday at their Camelback location and both times I have not been disappointed with the qoulity work they do.Holly at the Camelback Location is an absolutely wonderful artist with such clean lines and does amazing work and has great suggestions and really understood what I wanted and made changes beforehand to accommodate me. I am definitely looking forward to having a lot more ink therapy sessions with her as I work on a sleeve.Both shops are clean and very professional. I wont go anywhere else now!

Haydon and the receptionist (I apologize for not getting his name) made my recent tattoo experience unforgettable. While my design might have been simpler compared to your usual work, it held immense meaning for me. It was a phrase from a card my son wrote, and getting it tattooed on my arm (which thankfully Haydon recommended over my foot)on the anniversary of his passing was a very emotional experience.Both Haydon and the receptionist went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Their kindness and support meant more than words can express. Even during my initial meeting to make the appointment, everyone I encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. In a world where customer service can be lacking, your shop truly shines.Haydons artistry in capturing this special piece is beautiful, but its the way you all made me feel that truly matters. I am forever grateful. Thank you for creating this meaningful tattoo and for such a compassionate experience.

I had my tattoo done today with Rockey and I had the best experience. Rockey is a very talented artist who not only takes the time to listen to his clients but also brings great ideas to the table. He helped me bring an idea that I had for my tattoo to life and I am impressed with how amazing it turned out. Shout out to you Rockey! Keep doing you!

My sister and I decided to get tattoos spontaneously and the lady at the desk was super friendly and helpful. Our artist Andrew was AWESOME! We felt very comfortable with him, laughing and talking through our sessions genuinely such a great experience 10/ 10 definitely would come back!

I want to give a huge Gracias to Golden Rule Tattoo on 7th St & Camelback. They honor the name Golden Rule in every sense of the word. I had some amazing work done there by an artist, Javi. He did an incredible job, not only with the art he created on me, but also by honoring the spiritual & tribal components of the art & process as well & teaching me more about the history of my art piece during the process. I am looking forward to getting some more done from him in the next week.

Came here for me and my wife to get our first tattoo. Holly took the time to really understand what we wanted, offered suggestions and was extremely personable. Such an awesome experience all around.

I requested a very personal piece on my forearm as my first tattoo and they did not disappoint! It is some line work of a childhood picture so it was very important to me that it would turn out perfect and mirror the joy represented in the picture.Everyone was super nice and the artist that did my work, Andrew, made sure to ask me a lot of questions to ensure everything goes exactly the way I want it. I was pretty apprehensive coming in but they made it a pretty enjoyable experience. I am grateful for their work and will definitely be coming in again if I decide to get a second

Ive had the pleasure of being tattooed twice by Bob Gibson. #honestbobtattooHe is absolutely amazing. Fine lines, no fallout, clean, sanitary and great communication. Golden Rule Tattoo is bright, clean and a fun atmosphere. All of thier artists are top of the line. What sets them apart is the comradary between the artists. My first tattoo there I had a consultation with someone and he was not hesitant to state it was not his style. He quickly referred me to Bob who was exactly who I needed. Prices are what I expect to pay from an experienced, high calaber artist.

Holly was absolutely amazing to work with. I’m in love with my tattoo. We even had a great time watching the eclipse together. 💯 percent recommended!

Beautiful and clean shop. All of the artists do fantastic work. My artist was Bob and he was super nice and did a great job on my tattoo. The state of Arizona hardly regulates tattoo parlors, which is kind of terrifying, but golden rule goes well above and beyond industry and state regulations including medical covers for where your tattoo is performed, portioned inks for each customer prior to tattooing, bloodborne pathogen and sterilization training, and so on. Prices are also very fair and was a great experience here. Will definitely be going back. Theyre #1 in Arizona for a reason. There is no bare minimum done here in anything they do.

Eric Jones is awesome! Very detail oriented, patient, and kind. You can tell he takes pride in his work. He drew up my tattoos before my appointment and they turned out better than I could have imagined. He was wonderful - will definitely be back!

Extremely professional shop with 2 locations in the Phoenix metro area. Personable, professional, and mind-blowing artistry. I provided the owner/artist, Jason, with a photo of my black pug and asked that he turn him into a religious icon. With no other direction or feedback, he designed this phenomenal tattoo that I love nearly as much as the pug himself. Jason followed my lead re when I wanted to chat for the sake of distraction and when I needed to silently focus. Remarkable experience. Incredible tattoo. I’ll definitely be back.CAUTION: Make an appointment. Their artists are in high demand.

Hayden is an amazing tattoo artist! I have had the pleasure of being tattooed by him many times now. Golden Rule is a great company and all the artist there are clean, friendly, and most of all talented! Counter staff is also very attentive and great with communication.

John and Paul are amazing artists! The team there are so personable! Paul did my stepmom and Is Betty Boop pieces. It was my stepmoms first tattoo at 67. Paul was so patient with her and explained the whole process. My husband sent John a bunch of iconic pics from Detroit and he made an Michigan piece for me. Looking forward to the next ones!

We are fortunate to have a great deal of talented artists in AZ but Golden Rule is the highest talent level in one shop. Cant go wrong and they are very sanitary and professional throughout experience beginning to end!

This is a great shop, friendly staff, and Paulski is amazing. Great work on my Arizona themed tattoo..he worked with me and was sure to incorporate all the elements I wanted in the piece. Would highly recommend this clean, well-lit, and comfortable shop.

Everyone here is really friendly and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them for any tattoo style, they have several artists that will work with you to figure out how to accomplish your tattoo goals. Also the bathroom has hilarious googly eyes everywhere.

We felt super comfortable going in and speaking with the entire staff. Everyone was knowledgable and opening to ideas. Very reasonably priced. Will be back to get another tattoo soon.Side note. The bathroom is super cool. The sink is fun and unepected.

This shop was awesome. We knew going in with three potential walk-ins, that they might not be able to take us, but Monday just happens to be their day for walk-ins. Everyone we talked to was very kind, the stations were sanitized extremely well, and our artist (Drake) accommodated our design wishes with ease. We’ll be back!

Came here with my fiancé as walk-ins on a Saturday night and they were able to take us. Store was super clean and easy to access. The front desk girl was really sweet and Holly was fantastic. She was quick, extremely nice and the tattoo turned out better than I could’ve imagined. Drake did my fiancé’s tattoo and he was great as well. Will definitely be back to get some other work done!

Professional from the start. I made an appointment with Holly . She ic very experienced and actively listened to my ideas and goals for the style of my shoulder tattoo. In contrast to others I did use before, Appointments are kept. everything was done as I wanted it . In addition she helped me to know what coloring and style would work best . Holly added her own touches as the artist to create for ME I got an appointment quickly and she followed my wishes every step of the way Shes not done with me yet but Next session is with her ! Honest Bob did such an amazing job. I love my tattoo and so do many other people who see his work. During the session, he was very attentive to detail and I could tell that he is a perfectionist with his art, which is what anyone wants when they’re getting something that’s on them forever. I highly recommend him if his style fits your idea!

Eric was great! The staff was very friendly and I really like my tattoo. The only thing that put me off at first was that each artist only had their own chair. Im used to a bit more privacy when getting tattoos. But, I really liked the atmosphere!

Got super lucky and was able to be a walk in first thing in the morning. My man Nate was fresh off vacation and helped me get my first two tattoos before his first appointment. Super simple idea but he still helped me capture my idea perfectly and make it permanent. Hes also just a really cool guy and makes for great conversation while hes working.Didnt catch the name of the lady up front but she was really nice and helpful and walked me through the process and and any questions I had.Even though they all seemed like a bunch of really laid back people you could still tell they run a tight ship because the place was spotless and there is awesome unique tattoo art pretty much everywhere you look.Would rate 6 stars if I could. Even though I havent experienced other shops they definitely gave me lots of reasons to not need to if I can help it. Would even be worth waiting for if I had to honestly

The appointment asking process was easy. I was able to speak with the artist Chris and explained what I was looking for. When I arrived for my appointment he showed me my piece and the improvement he had made. I was completely satisfied 😌with his work and will definitely refer people to get their art work done here.

Michelle is the BEST! She was so patient with our group of 5! This was my first tattoo but my friend with many tattoos said Michelle is the most gentle tattoo artist she’s ever experienced!!! 😍

Paulski is the best artist in town. He is friendly, reasonably priced and takes his time with every sketch to make sure you are content with your work. He has a gentle hand and is surprisingly speedy at getting the highest quality pieces done. I have been seeing him for years and will continue to only trust him ongoing for my sleeve to finish.

My tattoo artist, Mark Peoples, made my experience at Golen Rule amazing. He is very friendly, highly talented and very professional. It had been a while since I got a large, fully colored tattoo done, and though my anxiety amped itself way up, Nathan got my tattoo done quickly, and made sure to keep me involved when I got especially anxious. He even asked me about the back story behind the tattoo, which happened to be for my recently passed younger sister, and even told me a story of his own that related to mine. Great guy, great shop, will be back asap. Thanks Nathan!

My daughter just got her very first tattoo at Golden Rule, Mark was her artist. He was so gentle and patient, her tattoo is just beautiful. She had a really good first tattoo experience, which means the world to me. This shop is clean, and just has a good energy. Im sure all the artists are excellent, but Mark is wonderful. I definitely recommend Golden Rule.

Bob did an amazing job with my tattoo. I gave him free reigns on the shading and it turned out much better than I could’ve imagined! The studio was very clean and professional. It has been 4 months and it healed up perfectly!!

Golden Rule was the best experience Ive had to date. The place was clean, they stayed on top of COVID precautions, and Kat was amazing. She brought my latest piece to life in ways I couldnt even imagine. I plan to go to her for all my future work! Took less time than I expected without sacrificing quality. Oh man, the golden rule tattoo shop has exceeded all my expectations l, as far as friendliness, helpfulness, and cleanliness. The staff and artists are all really nice and very down to earth, just an all around amazing atmosphere. I got the chance to work with Eric Jones, and he put so much time and effort into every peice hes put on my skin. He creates a very welcoming and caring environment, that has made my experiences at the golden rule been well rounded enough to keep coming back time after time. I would highly recommend the golden rule for anyone looking to get their first tattoo, or adding some more, or anyone looking to get slumed out, haha

I went here for my first tattoo because I can walk from my house. The artists are friendly and seem to genuinely care about what they do. Their abilities cover a broad range of styles, with a touch of local flare. When I explained what I wanted--a large rib piece, my artist was like are you sure? but when he saw I was sure, he did not hold back, choosing a challenging placement. The best 6 hours (three two-hour sessions) I have ever spent in excruciating pain.ok, it wasnt that bad, just that spot around the kidneys, yeesh!The aspect I enjoyed the most was the energy in the place. Conversations lead to laughter in that room and I swear, listening to staff and regulars enjoy each others company actually reduced the sensation of pain. My artist was very clean and even had notes of sandalwood.

Nate Woelke did a masterful job on my tattoo. I am extremely happy with the results. Not only was he professional, he was also a down-to-earth guy. I was very impressed with him and glad our paths crossed!

Amazingly friendly staff. Was instantly greeted by Jason who was happy to help. I was then referred to the appropriate artist based on the style of art I wanted. Everyone that works there has a unique portfolio that caters to all styles. Mark, Bree, Jason are all great!

I worked with Mikey, he was professional for my outer space sleeve and for a cover up tattoo of BobaFett on my back. Always had a great time for some painful sessions and I cant say enough about him. Also, Im disabled and in a wheelchair, and not once did I ever feel uncomfortable. Definitely puts his customers comfort first. Do yourself a favor and get a piece done by him, you wont regret it.

I cant begin to speak highly enough of this Tattoo shop. I am a recent transplant from New York and had been looking for a well rounded place to help aid in my tattoo collecting journey and I stumbled upon GoldSo far I have been tattooed by both Cerny and Eric and walk away more and more excited every time.Cerny was able to gift me with a truly meaningful memorial tattoo that I get compliments on daily. He was incredibly patient and compassionate when I expressed my vision and created a custom one of a kind masterpiece.Eric has been incredibly easy to work with as I embark on getting not one but both of my feet tattooed (yes it hurts but well worth it) he also has created two custom unique tattoos that were beyond my expectations.Not only are all the artists that I have encountered beyond friendly, but the counterstaff never ceases to amaze me with their professionalism and friendly (but not too friendly) demeanor. The few times I have been in the shop for consults and tattoos Kenzie has made me feel welcomed and like I am about to hang out with my good buddies. I have to mention also how incredibly clean the shop is at all times which is very reassuring especially during these crazy times.I always look forward to my appointments and cant wait to continue my collection, just like pokemon.. gotta collect them all!I will always recommend this shop to anyone looking for custom, solid tattoos.

My wife and I stumbled upon Kat on Instagram and found her style to match exactly what we were looking for. She was prompt and professional over email. The booking process was seamless.My wife and I are nurses and are always observant for infection control practices (especially now with COVID) and I was blown away by how strictly they followed best practices (both for COVID and general infection control).Kat did an incredible job and wayyyy exceeded my expectations. I drove down from Prescott to get my tattoo from Kat. My experience there was amazing. The receptionist was very kind and efficient with me and every customer that walked in while I was waiting. Back at Kats station, where there was the only speaker, the music was not blairing. Ive been in other shops where the music was blasting, and you couldnt hear the artist talking to you. Kat and I were able to carry on a conversation, which helped distract me during the tender parts. I will be going back, and cant wait to see the new location on 7th st. & Camelback.

I didnt get the work but witnessed the finished product. It looked great. The two people that got the work done said they didnt even feel the work being done. No pain until five minutes later lol. Now one of them even said he really felt like he could become very addicted to this guys work.In how he handle the gun and and they followed covid-19 protocol. I saw no problems. Everyones extremely friendly, clean environment, good vibes overall!! Jake was my artist, and hes very concerned with your satisfaction. To some, it might seem like hes fighting your ideas but trust me, its really just him making sure it goes well. For example, some of my ideas wouldnt have worked well because of the shape of my arm, the proportions of the design, and everything. He explained it and Im like oh okay, yeah that sounds like a bad idea. In the end, I love my new piece!

I have an ongoing tattoo that gets added to each time I have a new grandchild. Went here for my 7th grandchild tattoo after being in multiple different places for the others. Paulski was a perfectionist and was able to duplicate the design and (Hebrew) lettering exactly. Now I need my 8th and am returning here because the experience was the best Ive ever had. The place is spotless and the people are wonderful. Wont go anywhere else.

Bob is amazing!! He would not stop until he found the EXACT spot that he loved my tattoo at (I gave him free reign for placement) and it turned out absolutely amazing!! I’m so so so pleased! I will be returning for more pieces from this shop!

Felt like I wasnt taken seriously. The tattoo I wanted was pretty simple and minimalistic, but my artist didnt want to do what I had in mind and ended up giving me something I wasnt crazy about, but I let him go in that direction because I trusted him as a tattoo artist, considering this is what he does for a living. Because I dont think he took me seriously, he finished my tattoo in half an hour, and it turned out sloppy. The lines are very inconsistent and it looks rushed. I was afraid to speak up because it was my first tattoo, I was alone, and I didnt want to be a difficult customer, considering I had already turned down multiple sketches he had in mind for my tattoo. Really was not a great first tattoo experience.

No reviews? Haha thats insane. Golden Rule is absolutely the best tattoo shop in AZ, and this is their second location. Seriously talented artists, friendly staff and a SUPER clean, aesthetically pleasing, well lit shop.

They were fantastic, I was able to get a walk-in appointment without much fuss and had a great personal experience were I was able to help tweak the tattoo to my liking after the artist had designed it and the pricing was very fair. They also provided complementary aquaphor for the healing process.

Kat is the best. All the artists here are very good. I recommend this place to anyone who wants ink.

I tried to get an appointment at this place for a week. I left multiple messages and they never answered. I finally got a hold of one of the ladies on the phone and she told me she couldn’t talk because the lobby was full and that she would call me back. She never did. I called more and more only for them to tell me that I am able to walk in and get one. After I walked it they said they they are appointment only and that the other locations do walk ins. I called the other location and they said they don’t do it either. I am so annoyed.

We got tattooed by Bob. He was friendly, kind and did an amazing job. His line work was phenomenal. If I wasnt moving Id go back as soon as I could to get more done.

Spent a while looking around the Az area for someone who I could trust with the tattoos I wanted. Jason Anthony is my artist, and though you have to book in advance, he is worth every day you have to wait. So far he did a great cover-up and is in the process of completing a Darth Vader themed sleeve. Always top notch quality.

Been a repeat customer for several years.After finding out my artist left I was able to find out my back up artist Nathan was there.Even with the Covid situation, he was able to get me scheduled in to discuss 2 cover ups!

I was a walk- in at this location, and besides the fact that I was charged $300 for three words on a very small location of my body, I was satisfied with the work I received from Eric.

Cerney has a very light touch and did a great job!
