My husband and I walked in a few weeks ago to check out the shop. We ran into Mando and he gave me the confidence to get the memorial tattoo I’ve been wanting. He drew up a great picture from some ideas I showed him and a couple weeks later came back to get it done. Mando was incredible with his communication and made sure I was comfortable the entire three hours. His work was amazing. The shop was so clean, the staff were all friendly. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the amazing tattoo!

Samm is beyond the greatest delight and I feel like im more than just her client. Ive been seeing Samm for about 8yrs and she understands my jumbled brain and my taste still to thisday, shes beyond the definition of perfection. She makes sure youre comfortable, that youve eaten prior, shes got the snackies on the spot for us and even breaking down the specifics of tattoo work and how this or that works, she makes it known that you are included in your work together and even teaching some tattoo knowledge! I could listen to Samm talk for days as if shes my Rod Serling, Samm is my twilight zone

Could not have had a better experience. Samm Taylor is the first tattoo artist I ever used and she was extremely helpful every step of the way. She did a thorough consultation and made sure the tattoo would be designed exactly how I wanted it. Her design work and the actual finished product came out spectacular. Her attention to detail and professionalism were top notch. Gave me very helpful advice for my aftercare and was very easy to work with and talk to. I would recommend her to anyone who wants an amazing tattoo and an artist that will really take care of you and treat you right. She is absolutely fantastic. Five out of five stars! I just wanted to take a minute and give a huge shout out to the owner of North Mountain Tattoo, Dan Mattingly.I started getting tattooed by Mr. Mattingly about 6 years ago when he was an employee / lead artist at then “Divinity Tattoo”….. 15 Tattoos later and an acquisition and rebranding of the entire shop this surface level acquaintanceship has evolved into so much more because of this man’s character.Originally Dan was just an artist that provided amazing tattoo work. His skill level, attention to detail, as well as his ability to understand and translate what I wanted were just a fraction of the traits that made him my go-to artist. Through the years I have not only had the pleasure of watching and experiencing Dans growth as an artist but I have also been so fortunate to see him evolve into the business man he is today.After acquiring the shop, Dan worked swiftly and tenaciously to rebrand his shop with only a vision of a true professional. As anyone would expect for a first-time business owner there were a good number of ups and downs but Dan took every situation head-on and handle every moment whether good or bad with such grace. At this point I can’t think of a single situation that Dan could be faced with that he couldn’t overcome and concur with ease. Dan has undoubtably gave this shop the facelift it needed as well as setting the tone of professionalism that other tattoo shops should take note of.This man is not only my forever artist but he is also now a friend and someone I look forward to learning from and spending time with.

Goeke was amazing. Super light handed on the tattoos i had done today. Friendly and professional made sure i was comfortable and not hurting. Im happy he was able to fit me in for my 2 small tattoos i wanted. I will definitely be back for more tattoos by him.

Great place to get a tattoo!!!I decided to celebrate today by getting a tattoo to mark a special business occasion.Stopped by North Mountain today & was greeted by Tony Goeke.He definitely made me feel comfortable to be there & his level of work is 👍👍👍He showed me around the shop & was impressed by the other artists as well.So we discussed what I was celebrating & what I was looking for.And he showed me some previous work & I know hes the guy for the project.So agreed & I filled out all the standard shop info.Waited a few minutes, got some food next doorLet him do his thing & came back to a drawing of exactly what I was looking for.Sat down & had a great 3+ hour conversation.Ended my day with a great tattoo & new shop to get work done.Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Such an awesome shop. Way bigger and open than you would expect from looking at the front of the building. Its really relaxing and comfortable in their studio. Dan does a great job at making sure you are comfortable and spends quality time ironing out all of the details if the tattoo with you. Hes extremely patient and you can tell he loves what he does. Really happy with the work that was done.

My brother and I came in for a tattoo (tenacious D) and Patrick did a amazing job and was super cool. I was being a baby and he was very patient and pleasant. My brother got a tattoo here before and recommended it. Actually my mom and dad got one here too. I was extremely wowed and happy with my tattoo. There will be no photos since it was on my rear end. But the tattoo we got looked exactly like from the movie! Eventually I will get more tattoos and will return here for sure!

I had a tattoo done by kye and i am so impressed with this studio. 1. the interior design is so amazing and also so clean. Completely clean. 2. Kye is so professional and his work is so amazing. I had the absolute pleasure of working w him. He perfectly captured my idea and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He also has a super light hand and i would definitely recommend him if you are sensitive to pressure. Overall definitely going to return to this studio and completely satisfied with my experience!!

I could not be more happy with my tattoo and experience at North Mountain Tattoo. Patrick, my artist, was kind, communicative and attentive--not to mention extremely talented! I set him quite the task with this abstract yet fairly detailed Twin Peaks inspired design, and he well exceeded my expectations. He did this amazing job in just over an hour. North Mountain Tattoo is a stellar shop with great artists. Ive had 4 tattoos by Dan Mattingly now and I love them all. Hes incredibly talented and he goes out of his way to provide a great tattoo experience.

Samm was great and I love the tattoo. She was super fun to talk to and made me feel right at home for the whole experience. Reasonably priced for such a great experience. Replaced the stencil as many times as I asked and laughed with me through the whole thing. Took pictures at the end and sent them to me so I had pictures pre second skin to show my family. Loved it, and will be returning shortly.

Sam is absolutely amazing to work with and a true artist. If youre into video games or anime you have found an amazing artist to work with.Before I forget again edit: this building is beautiful and clean. I just got my very first tattoo done and it was the best experience I could have asked for. Not only was it very easy and stress free but it went by nicely. I was with Jordan and she thoroughly explained everything and swiftly answered all my questions. Not only that she was very careful and helped bring my dream tattoo to life! I was also able to have my mom and grandma with me and another member brought her an extra chair for my mom without us even having to ask! I cant wait to come back for my next one!!!

I stopped by the studio to talk about a tattoo design I would like and I met Brian (Bryan…?) A. Very nice guy, was able to understand and visualize what I wanted, and we set an appointment to come in the next day. When I arrived he pulled out his computer and showed me what he had come up with. He has clearly put a lot of effort ahead of time. We sat down and went over it and I really liked what has done. He has been a tattoo artist for over 20 years and it clearly showed. So we then went and he crafted the tattoo on my forearm and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. It is actually better than I had hoped for - no BS. I have an older tattoo that is about 25 years old and I needs some work - and I definitely know who I am going to when I’m ready. Just couldn’t be happier with my new tattoo. Excellent.

Ive spent that last 6 months getting a piece done by Dan. I have to say, this is the best tattoo experience that Ive ever had. The shop is clean (incredibly clean) and inviting. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Dan was amazing and did everything he could to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Ill definitely be back, and highly recommend them to anyone!

Emma did an amazing job! Very friendly and made sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it before she began tattooing. She does incredible work and would highly recommend. The shop itself and everyone there were very clean and professional as well.

Everyone at NMT is so respectful and patient, not just with customers, but with the other artists as well. There is a reason I choose North Mountain Tattoo over anywhere else, and I am due for another visit really soon.

I dunno where that guy Zee who left a review went too.But it wasnt north mountain!I walked in and was definitely blown away with cleanliness & friendliness.Met up with Goeke & immediately felt comfortable.Watched the setup process & he was extremely clean about it.Watched the other artists next to him take the same precautions for their customers.Was extremely happy with my sleeve & will be coming back!!

Goeke did an awesome job. Got a very simple tattoo involving two circles with thin lines, and he took his time and drew the circles perfectly (I mean...have you ever drawn a perfect circle? Because I havent). Also was fun to chat with! Ill be coming back to him for any future tattoo needs.

Kye did an amazing job on matching colors on the tattoo that my fiance and I had him do. The coloring is amazing. Time spent for the 2 tattoos was about 2 hours with set up and take down in between our tattoos. The tattoos themselves only took about 30 minutes. Kye has done several tattoos for myself and family. We will be back for additional tattoos.

This shop is fantastic, Ive been working with Dan on doing a sleeve and every interaction Ive had with anyone in the shop has been a positive one. The shop is really clean and organized and very well decorated. I would recommend them to anyone.

Nice enough place but I had one done by Kai. It needed a very minor touch up when it was done, and he said he normally did those Thursdays. I explained I lived over an hour away, so could he do mine on a Saturday and he did yes. Once it healed, I called to come in for what he agreed would be a ten minute touch up, but suddenly he refused to help AT ALL. If an artist not only goes back on his Word but refuses to help with something so minor, they are NOT worth going to. At least go someplace that will help when something goes wrong.

Went in to get an estimate and he tried to up-sale me and quadrupled the size and price of the tat. Since then its been estimated at $500 at the size and location i want. Dan wanted to quadruple the size and change the locationCompletely un satisfied and angered this US Marine Veteran trying to get a Marine tattoo

Im honestly quite disappointed in the tattoo I received. The colors faded, some completely disappeared. Some of the line work is gone. It is hard to tell what the design is supposed to be. This tattoo was to commemorate surviving 20 years living with HIV. Very disappointed!

Dan is the man!! He takes realism to the next level, 1000% professional with tattooing a true craftsman with the needle. I am blessed to have found him on a deep dive browsing the web.. thanks again bro for your time! plan on coming back in the near future
