Providence Tattoo

I went here recently to get my first tattoo, and Josh was so incredibly kind and helpful. He was super receptive to my ideas and helped me create the perfect design and tattoo. He made sure I was completely comfortable and was very considerate about every possible thing. Not only that, but the prices were more than reasonable! My friend also got his first tattoo there at the same time as mine, and the other employee (I am terrible with remembering names), was just as kind and considerate. Overall, one of the best experiences I could ever ask for. So if you need a tattoo, this place is perfect. I definitely know where I’m going when I get my second one! Thanks again guys!!

I had an awesome experience with Providence Tattoo shop in Rhode Island. From the last minute call Saturday evening. To the 4pm tattoo on Sunday. John was super professional and efficient 👌👍. We had great conversations and he was very open to my ideas and needs. Id definitely go back if Im ever in the area. Plus Ive never gotten flowers from a man before 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for the great afternoon and another state checked off my list.

My friend & I went there last night for matching tattoos. We had Sean as an artist & he is phenomenal. I had had him in the past for a coverup and he is so professional. He was friendly, clean & preforms an amazing tattoo. I’m so pleased with the results and I would definitely recommend him to others for the future. Definitely will be coming back!

Me and my mom went to providence tattoo yesterday for our first tattoos, we were greeted by the artists when we walked in and they created a very welcoming atmosphere. Tim was very thorough when designing our tattoos to be sure we got exactly what we wanted. As this was my first tattoo and I was very nervous, he was great with giving me reassurance and making sure I was comfortable. Our tattoos came out perfect and turned out exactly how we wanted, it was obvious Tim has a lot of experience and skill. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back in the future!

Sean is extremely professional and his artwork speaks volumes! Great artist and great shop. Gives off old school tattoo shop vibes. Very cool!

I got my first professionally done tattoo here by Kylie. She was amazing. She kept me at ease during my nervousness and was extremely thorough with her work. My tattoo looks rad!! Great vibes in the shop as well. Definitely recommend!!! Thanks Kylie!

Been a client with Sean Reynolds for over 12 years now. We’ve put in well over 50 hours of tattoos. Use to travel from Massachusetts to work with Sean. But I’ve since moved to Colorado, and still find myself booking appointments with Sean when I travel home to see family.

The Shop was very clean and smelled extremely sterile. I was not impressed with the price differences in all the different sized tattoos. And the attitude of my tattoo artist was very uncomfortable. I went in with my husband to get matching tattoos and my husbands experience was totally different. He made me feel that I was inconveniencing him the whole time and had a very passive aggressive attitude towards me huffing and puffing. The tattoo artist was very polite to my husband and very accommodating. And on top of this I had an appointment scheduled 3 weeks ahead of time and I had to wait 40 minutes for them to be scheduling other appointments for walkins that day. The prices they charge they should be able to afford a receptionist to schedule their appointments.

I’m happy with TJ’s quick work and for the most part, my tattoo… whose imperfect design is my fault because I chose it day of and there was little time to perfect it. He drew it up fast for me which I appreciated. The four leaf clover is a bit blown out and the filling in is not full. It met but did not exceed my expectations. My issue is with the price, and being taken advantage of. I was charged $400 and tipped $80 on top. The tattoo took him about 40 min. I learned afterwards this was a gross overcharge. He’s a salesman and I got a bit swindled… so just go with good financial boundaries ahead. I’m just a retail worker and not made of $$$.

The best tattoo shops in Providence Ive been to. Excellent tattoo artists work with you from time to prices and amazing work and detail. Exceeded standards for my recent tattoo. They took the idea and made it better than I could have imagined by far. Going back for touch ups and all future tattos!

Could not recommend enough. They are the utmost professionals and your tattoo will turn out great.

This place was incredible. I didnt wait too long. And my tattoo came out amazingly! The colors came out great! Im really happy with the result! 10/10 or 5/5. Would actually recommend. Very friendly environment. Very polite and make you feel comfortable.

Tina Lugo was literally the best artist for my first tattoo. She was very precise, courteous and super chill. Best first experience and will absolutely go back. ( Didnt take pic because tattoo is still fresh)

This is by far the BEST tattoo parlor I have ever been to. It is super clean and absolutely beautiful. I went in for a walk in and my tattoo artist TJ Russo was able to take my ideas and make it all come together! He was super friendly and personable and I had a wonderful time! The tattoo came out better than I could even imagine!! Can’t wait to get my next tattoo done by TJ.

Weve had two visits here already for my husbands back piece; not only is it a gorgeous tattoo, but the shop is laid back, friendly, and professional. Everyone seems to enjoy their jobs, and they were really accommodating for his first big tattoo. Once Ive saved up for mine, Ill definitely be going back here! We saw Jon Gorman.

Told them exactly where and what and how big I wanted my tat. Gave 100$ deposit in case I didn’t show up. Drive hour there just for them to tell me I had to reschedule so they could draw it I said okay. Then they said it would take 3 hours with a 200$ minimum am hrand I have tattoos bigger that didn’t take that long and NEVER 200$ an hour and I have GREAT tats. I said no way 600$ for that can I have my deposit back they said NOPE. I said can I at least get a tiny rose they said 200$. That’s RECICULOUS. gave them 100$ and got no tattoo. Been to many shops NEVER that expensive. Robbed me of 100$.

Not very happy with what I got. I asked for a thin barely noticeable tattoo and was given something bold because “it would look better.” I figured they would know since they have been tattooing for a while. But im already looking into having the tattoo lazered off. Very disappointed.

I got my first tattoo here on my shoulder. Being that it was my first time I was shocked at how expensive the tattoo was, but over a year later I do not regret getting here. My tattoo looks beautiful, and they even told me I could get free touch ups. I can not remember the guy that tattooed me but he was amazing. Since I am black I was worried that pink would not show up on my skin well, and lucky for me he was the same skin tone with a pink/ red tattoo fill. Everyone made my first time an enjoyable one, and I was thrilled to get an same day appointment as a walk in.

I walked into Providence tattoo looking for a Pink Floyd tattoo. I was greeted by Tim and I was blown away by how good my tattoo looked afterwards! He is very professional and the shop was clean. Will definitely be going back to get another one!

I got a tattoo from Peter and he did a phenomenal job! It was a great atmosphere, very relaxed, and they let me make the appointment that same day. I would recommend Peter and this shop to all of my friends and will go there again!

Stopped in for my first tattoo, Antonio was available and took my sample, created the sketch, and got me going. Tattoo came out perfect. And while I chose this place randomly, Antonio will be my guy for additional work going forward, I could not be happier.

After consideration I went back to the shop and consulted with a different artist. Im really glad I went back and talked my artist Jon. Hes amazing and he talked about the procedure. Great artist, had a lot of patience and awesome guy overall. Made sure everything was correct and perfect. Made sure you were comfortable with the tattoo and the pain. Defenitely dont regret coming back and I just wanted to say thank you and you defenitely gained a loyal customer. Proud to say ill be getting most of tattoos here in the future.

When I get tattooed I go and see Brian and he is my guy. He is a classically trained artist as well as a tattoo artist and it makes for a killer combination for portraits as well as traditional pieces. My girlfriend goes here as well and he is the guy I trust my loved one with. Dennis and the other artists have awesome portfolios. The shop is clean and your voice will be heard which is key.

I’ve gotten all my tattoos here, and it has NEVER cost me more than $100. However, when I walked in last week to get a few *small* flowers recolored, he wanted me to pay $250 when the ENTIRE tattoo only cost me $100 a few years ago. Make it make sense???Very disappointed. Won’t be going to this location ever again.

I have been getting tattooed by Dennis the shops owner for years now. I even had the honor to be the first person inked at this location. Dennis is a talented artist who takes the upmost pride in his work and his fellow artists who work in the shop. The quality of the work speaks for itself. I have sent family and friends to this shop and they all love the work done on them as well. Having an artist who will sit with you to collaborate creating a unique piece makes the process that much more meaningful and everlasting. Happy to go here and will continue to frequent Providence Tattoo for any and all future tattooes. I am happy to be a proud collector of Dennis art.Mike G

Got a really small piece here down the other day (literally drawn with ONE LINE.) and was charged 120 for it. When I told others how much I paid they said I pretty much got screwed and I shouldnt have paid more than 75 bucks while showing me the tattoos they have that were simple like mine. Also not as straight as a line as I hoped it would be but I dont see what I can do now except maybe have it touched up somewhere else.

The artist added details I didn’t ask for to my small simple tattoo, made fun of the design, and tattooed it crookedly and filled it in poorly to boot. Looking into getting it removed.
