The Torchbearer Tattoo

I’ve wanted a new tattoo for a while. Today I woke up feeling impulsive and frivolous with money, so I decided it was the perfect day to scratch that itch. I’m new to the area and haven’t gotten tattooed in RI. The first two shops I moped over to were all booked for the day, no walk in availability. Lucky for me, one shop recommended the torchbearer and 3rd time was indeed a charm! Chris tattooed me and it was one of the best tattoo experiences I’ve had, and I already can’t wait to go back!

Incredible shop. Talented artists who have created a comfortable, clean, safe space for ALL. Whatever you are seeking, there is someone here to meet your needs, and in the rare instance where there isnt, they are honest enough to tell you so and steer you in the proper direction. World class shop, zero hesitations.

I have gone to chris for about two years now. chris is absolutely THE BEST artist i have been to. cleanliness, attention to detail, professional, conversations, and overall experience. i have been to a couple of artists and hands down i wouldnt trust another artist. he exceeds expectations every single time. if i could give 1,000 stars i would. 5 stars is not enough to give him. thank you chris for always giving me the best tattoos and the best experience while getting them!!!!

Had a large forearm piece done by the shop owner Chris and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Absolutely recommend and will be going back for more.

I had the pleasure of walking in and having Jeff Pageau as my artist. I had a vision of doing a rose and he was able to draw up a stencil in a matter of minutes that fit exactly what I wanted. His stippling technique is exactly the type of shading I wanted for this rose. There was no shortage of conversation with Jeff and his personality really helps you to feel at ease while in the chair. I’m looking forward to booking further appointments with Jeff. The torchbearer always does a great job of having great artists at their shop!

I was a walk in close to closing an Chris was about 30 to an hour leaving. I had a small tattoo I wanted done he said he had time. I was happy he had time. Most places would of rushed an just got it done. He took hes time explained everything . Asked many times if I was doing ok. Even took time to answer all my wifes questions. Chris was awesome . Would recommend hes shop. If you havent gotten tattoos here b4 check them out

Had an appointment with TJ, he did a great job. The staff is friendly and will work with you creatively so you can get what you want. Tattoo was done timely, and booking process was easy. Really no complaints at all

I have been to many tattoo shops and very few have put me instantly at ease like Torchbearer. I had the honor of being tattooed by co-owner Chris who told me he wants everyone to feel like they belong - and I think they have done a great job of it! I already have an appointment to go back.

I walked in and was treated very well. The service was quick. Rick did an awesome job both with talking and making everything as painless as possible. I definitely am glad this is who I stumbled across. The emotional reason I was getting the tattoo was definitely put at ease by how comfortable I was laying there. Great place, dont pass them up.

Came here for my first tattoo with my friends and had a really awesome experience. Rick did an amazing job and was really thorough in the drawing and design of the piece. He’s an all around cool dude, and we had a great time getting tattooed by him! So happy with how everything turned out, can’t recommend enough, 11/10 would come again.

Rick did my tattoo and the experience was top notch. He made us feel very at ease and like we had the final say in the process. He really took his time designing and refining our tattoo sketches to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Torchbearer tattoo. We have been going to The Torchbearer for several years on the recommendations of several friends and we couldnt be happier. Chris has done some amazing tattoos for us, and we have no intentions of ever going to anyone else. He is always open to whatever ideas we have, and if we have an idea that wont work, he wont just do it and take our money - he will explain to us exactly why it wont work and make recommendations on what will work.There are several extremely talented tattoo artists here, and the new shop is extremely clean and spacious. You will not be disappointed!

Went with friends to get tattoos from Rick. He is super nice and a great artist. He made us all very comfortable and we had a great time. Would recommend him to anyone and will definitely go to him for any future tats.Thanks Rick!

First time getting work done, got to work with Rick who was extremely nice and professional, worked on these arm bands and they came out perfect, Rick was able to draw exactly want i wanted to a T, highly recommend torchbearer for newcomers. Going back to get more work done with them in the future :)

Between the two of us, my husband and I have gotten 4 tattoos done by Cathy. Shes an incredible artist and her work is absolutely gorgeous. I know well be going back again!

The space is wonderful and open. Lots of art on the walls, very welcoming. Catherine is an excellent professional--her art is beautiful and she has such a good touch while tattooing. Definitely would recommend!!

I got my first tattoo at providence tattoo and I was so disappointed and after 2 weeks I was looking for a place that I could feel more comfortable I heard good stuff about The Torchbearer Tattoo on Westminster so I went to check it. Rick did a great job and a real pleasure to spend some time on his table. The shop was clean and very well sanitized. Everything was up to snuff. I plan on going back.

The shop is professional, welcoming, clean and has artists that all specialize in different styles. This is a shop for serious tattoo collectors as well as people getting their first tattoo.

So far have gotten tattooed by Chelsea shoneck twice, they do amazing dog portraits. Cant recommend enough!

Great place. Open areas you dont feel so cramped when youre in there. Ben is the man, I highly suggest him. Everyone in there is friendly and they all know what theyre doing.
