All the staff are lovely, Rhys helped me up front and Tom ended up doing my septum. I may have a slightly deviated septum, but Tom was able to help no issues and it came out looking great. The jewlery they sell is also lovely, and they have very affordable titanium options as well. Great experience overall, a very comfy environment, Id highly recommend coming here and Ill likely be coming back for more piercings

Great experience today with Noah. My daughter and I both had piercings done. Noah was super friendly, explained everything before he did it, and calmed my kid’s nerves. Really professional place and people. Everyone we talked to, including the stylist who helped us choose jewelry, were super nice and friendly. Had a great experience getting my septum pierced here! I sought them out specifically because they specialize in piercings and carry high quality, GORGEOUS and unique jewelry. This place has my full loyalty after the mess they helped me get out of yesterday I got a really bad belly button piercing from wildside piercing out on Jefferson rd in Henrietta and not only was it irritated but it was also the wrong type of jewelry all together so I came here in high hopes they could fix it within the 2 days of me having this fresh piercing. Not only did they fix the problem they also gave me the proper after care advice and stuff so I can have a successful healing process. I overall will be coming back for future piercings not only does this place know what they’re talking about but they also suggest metals and other things that might be better for your sensitive body. The customer service is fantastic and overall just highly recommend this place or any type of piercing you may need it’s affordable, and you don’t walk out with any pain. I walked in hurting and suffering but left pain free and relaxed knowing I had the right care💕😊

New to the area and trying to solve the mystery of how to finally heal my nostril piercing and found dorje. filled out their appointment request form and they got back to me quickly, and I was able to go in today. the entire experience was truly amazing from start to finish. bee and Reese(I think? I feel so bad its escaping me) identified my issue and helped me pick jewelry that we all felt suited my face and flattered my eye color even!! they also went over total costs once Id picked out my jewelry so I didnt feel blindsided by the cost of the service when it came time to pay. when it was time to get the jewelry inserted, Reese was willing to give me a hand to squeeze because I had been very open that this trouble piercing has caused a lot of pain for me. Bee was able to identify a very odd problem with my piercing, and with Reeses support, I now have a beautiful stud that I can wear while healing! I also appreciated that Bee was completely transparent with me in indicating what levels of discomfort/pain I should expect during the service. obviously the pain of getting the jewelry inserted sucked, and they were very clear that it likely would with my specific issue. Overall, the energy of this studio and the communication and transparency honestly WOWED me and I will be recommending anyone in need of body piercing services to go to Dorje Adornments. Cant say enough good things about Dorje! I got my nose piercing done here last year by Tom, and recently went back to have it switched from a stud to a hoop. The entire experience both times was amazing. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and they have an incredible selection of very good quality jewelry. Tom was very reassuring and patient, and made the piercing almost painless. 10/10, will be coming back for every piercing need from now on!

I accidentally pulled out my Monroe piercing and googled piercers in the area. I called Dorje and they were so nice and set me up with an appointment the next day. I went in, everyone was so friendly and showed me the different jewelry to choose from and looked up the prices of each piece. Appointment only policy is killer. I drove 20 minutes to buy a nose stud only to learn you need an appointment for that too. I looked online and it says they only do custom jewelry. Bottom line don’t go here for jewelry!

My piercer (Tom) was *so* friendly, knowledgable, and clearly experienced. He patiently answered all of my questions thoroughly before the piercing, asked if I was comfortable with seeing the piercing tools beforehand (I was, but I thought it was a nice of him to ask) and guided me through the piercing process step by step. I feel great about my nostril piercing and highly recommend this place.

Dorje is the most calm and welcoming body modification studio I have ever visited. Everything from the fragrance to the outrageously kind staff really helped with my nervous personality. The quality of the jewelry is incredible and Tom and Bee were just a joy to work with.

I had my ear lobes pierced with Bee after several recommendations from friends to go to Dorje Adornments over the past few months, and they were fantastic! Bee was thorough, calming, reassuring, and took time to answer my questions before we started. While piercing each ear, Bee also guided me through deep breaths.Everyone working in the shop was kind, professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process, from selecting my starter pair of earrings at the jewelry counter to the actual piercing. They also went the extra mile by giving me a complementary saline mist at the end of the appointment.Thank you for a great experience! I don’t have plans for additional piercings myself (for now, but who knows), but I will tell any friends and family that Dorje is THE place to go.

I loved it there. The staff were super nice too! I got my nose pierced and they let me decide what jewelry I want it to be pierced with. Usually I just see people having to get diamond studs for their nose piercing, but I got to choose! I absolutely love it, they make sure it’s the right placing for you, and they are just overall friendly and have conversations with you while they’re getting set up. Go to this place to get a piercing!

I have been going to Dorje since they opened. Nick is the best! Tom has the greatest bedside manner and makes getting pierced so comfortable! Jack is incredibly knowledgeable in his jewelry suggestions, and so patient with an indecisive human like myself

Not my first piercing, but it was my first time getting pierced here. Dorje is very upscale in its presentation and its selection. My selection, including deposit was 145 for ears and jewelery. Could have gone up more due to jewelry selection so bear that in mind. Every one was incredibly kind and professional. I had the pleasure of being pierced by Noah. Great experience. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and the entire process was all about comfort and sanitation. 10/10 would and will go again.

I cannot share enough how glad I am that I chose Dorje Adornments for my industrial piercing. They were very good at communicating that an industrial is not for everyone and warned me of the intensity that comes with the healing process, which made it clear that they were not just trying to get a quick buck. I got pierced by Tom, who took his time with examining my ear, and recommended a different type of industrial piercing that would suit my ear better, and made this appointment very personable and unique. The staff from the second you walk in to when you walk out cannot be kinder, and I am beyond obsessed with my new piercing! You pay for the quality service and experience you receive. If I could buy the entire shop, I would.Parking is easy. Street and plenty in the back.Making an appointment with them is easy. And they are super responsive whenever Id had to email them.Prices are reasonable for a small business providing high quality jewelry and piercings done right.

I usually love this place but my piercer failed to pierce my naval not once but twice it was on the third go it finally was finished. I got my ears and nostril done also in the same appointment which went fine, but the execution of the naval piercing was truly disappointing. Great environment and everyone’s very welcoming!

I went in today to get my bridge pierced, unfortunately I wasnt able to get it pierced but I was able to get a custom industrial piercing!!! Tom did my piercing and he was amazing made me feel super comfortable and did amazing with my piercing !! I will definitely be going back soon for my next piercing!!!!!!

Have been putting off getting my nipples pierced for years, but today i finally bit the bullet and got it done. all of the staff was very welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. my piercer, tom, addressed any and all concerns and made sure that i was comfortable throughout the entire process. great experience. i will definitely return in the future!

I was pierced by Noah. Was a great experience, quick, easy, and a little less painful then a shot (I got a second earlobe piercing). All the items they use to pierce are new and thrown away afterward - and the piercer wore scrubs and a mask. They also give you aftercare instructions and are overall very informative.

My 16 year old daughter wanted her septum pierced. I was apprehensive. Did my research and everyone said Dorje. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism, cleanliness, knowledgeable and overall vibe of the place. Tom was incredible at putting us both at ease. Made a mother-daughter appointment, and we were both happy with our experience. Reece was great at the counter, and Tom walked us through all of our piercing options based upon the shapes of our ears. We left with different piercings than we intended (we hoped for daith but just didnt have the right ears!) BUT we both left happy! Will be going back again!

Stopped by today for my second hole piercing. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff and the warm environment. I visited Dorje for a second earlobe piercing. From scheduling to the day of appointment the communication was thorough, complete, and kind. I was able to select beautiful jewelry for the piercing and will be making an appointment to go back just to shop! My piercer was Tom who was kind, completely approachable, and incredibly supportive and thorough. Such a pro!! I felt very impowered leaving and would recommend to ANYONE looking for piercings. Ive been wanting to get my nose pierced forever and finally went a couple weeks ago. My piercer tom noticed I was a little uncomfortable with him going from the inside (no matter how hard I was trying to hide it) he quickly grabbed a tool to do the piercing from the outside of my nostril and it was so quick and smooth. I havent had any redness, swelling or anything negative at all. I cant wait to schedule my next piercing! Thank you !

The staff at Dorje, start to finish, is always excellent. Ive been here many times and have never had less than a stellar customer service experience. The piercing team is extremely approachable and knowledgeable, not to mention excellent at what they do. Regardless of if they are providing advice on which piercing or jewelry would best suit you, or if theyre talking about aftercare and maintenance instructions, they are all highly capable, kind, personable, and will tailor their advice and communication to your knowledge level. Well worth the premium over other shops.

Awesome place to get some really quality jewelry. The staff is professional and super helpful and the place is spotless. Theres lots of options to choose from with varying materials, style, and sizes. The curators are super knowledgeable about all the pieces. The piercers are great at what they do and will ensure the jewelry is inserted properly and sized correctly for your ear. The one thing I will say is do your research and come in with a budget,and whatever your budget is add at least $200 to it because all the jewelry, while very high quality, is priced accordingly.

I got my botched septum redone there and the guy was literally amazing. I passed out and threw up the first time cuz the lady did it in the thickest part of my nose. This guy was perfect and comforting. The best piercing experience Ive ever had.

I can’t recommend this place enough. You get a one-on-one session when picking jewelry, and also when getting pierced. Everyone is super knowledgeable, extremely clean, professional, and very warm and welcoming. My piercer was Tom, and I had zero doubts about his capabilities - he’a thorough, and knows what he’s doing and he does it very well, and as someone who isn’t the biggest fan of needles, he made me feel very comfortable. The selection of jewelry available is incredible. This will be my go-to place going forward, I won’t go anywhere else.

Dorje did an amazing job with my nose piercing. I’ve gotten my nose done twice before elsewhere, and this time I’m confident there won’t be an infection due to Dorjes high quality jewelry options as well as how sanitary their shop is. They also are booking out into May right now (that’s how popular they are!) but were able to squeeze me in last minute due to a cancellation. Highly recommend!!

Ive been here twice now, once for a double helix piercing and lobe piercing, and the second time for a check-up and downsizing appointment. I had the opportunity to have two dermals removed by the staff today. I worked primarily with Bee for the purposes of the removal. To begin, Bee shared that both dermals did NOT need to be removed (i felt one was rejecting) and confirmed I wanted to proceed knowing that they don’t need to be removed. Ultimately I decided I still wanted them out. I shared my fear about the process and they made me feel comfortable from start to finish. I had a relatively fussy surface piercing that did not want to come out. They brought Josh in to help remove the fussier dermal. Josh and bee were exceptional throughout the entire process, and I could not say better things about the team and the environment!

I just got a few piercings here last week and had a wonderful experience! All of the staff was personable and helpful, Tom made the piercing process/going over aftercare quick, easy, and - as far as piercings go - painless, and they had the perfect jewelry for what I wanted. The store itself is clean and gorgeous and manages to not feel cramped at all with 5+ people in it.Ill absolutely be returning once my current piercings are healed :)

They will lie and say you don’t have the right anatomy when you 100% do and then have to go somewhere else to get it and they did it perfectly and it healed fine. They don’t know how to do certain piercings work and gave additional wrong info about it. Don’t waste your time

I got a vertical labret piercing from them years ago and was very impressed with their technique and the time and care they took to make my piercing so perfect. All these years later and I still fave about them. I will be getting my nipples done soon and am going to them for SURE.

I just had piercings done by Tom - everything about my appointment with him was wonderful. Also, his apprentice, Peter was super welcoming and friendly.When selecting the jewelry I felt like I had some lingering questions on piercing placement, but once I got upstairs Tom was a great listener on my thoughts & ideas and brought together an awesome final piece with his expertise. Truly felt like a special event.Dorje is cleaner than any doctor’s office I’ve been to recently: masks, hands sanitized on entry, and you wash your hands right before your session.Plan on spending $$$ as the jewelry is expensive (sold by the single) but great quality. So happy with my experience!

While it may be a bit tough to get an appointment here, it’s so worth it. After going to Mellow Madness for my first 2 piercings and having mediocre results, I was blown away by this place. The jewelry is top-notch, definitely the best I’ve seen in Rochester. My piercer Tom was highly knowledgeable and comforting throughout the process. Easily the best place for quality piercings & jewelry that I’ve seen here. They’re also highly LGBT affirming which is great to see in Rochester.

I came to Dorje to get my nipples pierced, and I don’t think I could’ve had a better experience. I called a couple weeks ahead of time because I had some questions regarding the piercings, and they answered all my questions clearly. When I came in for the appointment everyone was super welcoming and kind. Their jewelry selection is incredible and fairly priced. The piercer, Nick, made me feel so comfortable. He explained everything he was doing and the aftercare to me. The piercing itself barely hurt, which I think in part has to do with Nick’s experience. The whole thing overall was wonderful! I am very pleased with my piercings.

Got my initial lobes done at 4g this morning with Tom and he was absolutely awesome!!! I could tell he was definitely just as excited as I was to do the piercings for me and was super knowledgable and helpful. The receptionist Jack was super friendly as well, and helped to quell my nerves the second I walked in!! Everything was super clean and the jewelry shop itself is lovely, I’ll definitely be returning in the future for more piercings and to pick out jewelry once my lobes heal up!!! I absolutely would recommend Dorje, I felt super supported, appreciated, and informed the whole time :-)

They are amazing, But I hate waiting 2 months just to get in for what took a walk-in and maybe 2 minutes to accomplish at another place. I understand that are more upscale but nothing seemed very much different when compared to the place I went yesterday. Staff are great but its crazy on that wait time. I recommend to period who have time to wait for simple things but I think Im all set.

The employees at Dorje are warm and welcoming each time I visit. I have had 2 MRIs done and they have fit me in on short notice, or have worked around my schedule. Went for a male genital piercing (PA). Friendly staff, I was asked by an apprentice to be allowed to watch and learn. Not a problem. Toms easy manner helped put me at ease despite my exposed position.Clear, effective communication about procedure and aftercare. Very professional place, completely different from your typical tattoo parlor piercers (no hate, just way different aesthetic). Id trust them with sharp implements around sensitive areas again 💯!Long lead time for appointments but the best in town.

Incredible experience. I got my nipples pierced here and they were amazing. Super nice staff, reasonable prices, clean, professional! My piercings healed so fast and so well despite a few cautions about how small my nipples are. Only complaint is that they have such high demand it’s hard to book an appointment.

I got my tongue ring removed here and it was the easiest and best piercing shop experience I have ever received. They were extremely sanitary, friendly, and knowledgeable. They kindly squeezed me in for an appointment, as I had an MRI coming up that day. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back when I want more piercings!

Tom gave me my first facial piercing, a swptum. They made the jewelry process so easy, and it was very transparent explaining the pricing and everything. Everyone was very king. The space looked great, well decorated and clean, hand sanitizer and hand washing stations closeby for both piercers and customers. Was a super easy and great experience, will be going again some time in the future.

I visited Dorje in April 2023 to pierce my nostril and conch. The experience from initial booking to check out was so well-organized, professional, thoughtful, and thorough.When I first booked I received email communications outlining exactly what to expect at the appointment- perfect for easing any anxiety as a sort-of first-time* piercer.Upon arrival, I was asked to put on some hand sanitizer then meet with someone at the jewelry counter to help me select the perfect pieces (big shout out to the transparent pricing! Theyll give you a complete break down of your costs before you ever leave the counter). When my piercer was ready for me, we headed upstairs where I was asked to wash my hands before settling into a super clean and chill piercing room.My piercer, Tom, was so friendly, great about detailing what was going to happen, how to care for my new piercings, and was super thoughtful in asking whether Id prefer to see him set up my needles/tools or if it might make me uncomfortable. Im just a touch squeamish, so my husband did all the looking for me.Tom cleaned the areas with alcohol, a bit of iodine went up into my nose, and a few minutes later I had beautiful jewelry in my nostril and conch. Did it hurt? Yes, of course! I had new holes put in my face! But, it was as clean, gentle, and fast as possible to get a high quality experience and result.At checkout I received a care bag with contact information, an overview of what was done, the type of jewelry installed, healing time, and care instructions. I was also offered a saline wound wash for proper cleaning. (The instructions have changed A TON since my childhood ear piercing at the Walmart jewelry counter in the 90s. No more twist it twice a day and use some Neosporin to kill germs!)Bonus points for being an incredibly welcoming and inclusive environment. Youll find signage and stickers supporting BLM, the Trans community, and the LGBTQ+ community. Also, whatever cleaner or air freshener theyre using? Smells amazing.

I have been meaning to write a review for months now! Ive been telling everyone who will listen that if they want to get anything pierced they HAVE to go to Dorje. My experience was amazing the entire way through from the person who greeted me at the door, the employee who helped me pick out my jewelry, and especially my piercer, Tom. The entire process was extremely professional and relaxing. I had gotten my nostril pierced at a different tattoo shop last year and had nothing but problems with it so I had to take it out. Id heard great things about Dorje so I made the hour drive for my piercing appointment and I do not regret it, it was so worth it! I know some reviews have mentioned it costs more than other piercing studios but in my opinion it is totally worth it and you get what you pay for. I have had zero problems with my piercing because the jewelry they use is higher quality and the piercer was extremely experienced. The wait for an appointment and drive out is so worth it, please come here for any piercings you want to get!

Dorje is the most high end piercing establishment in Rochester. Of course they have jewelry from LA and the ability to order custom pieces but what sets them apart is their cleanliness and customer service. They have a machine to sterilize all of their jewelry and are very cautious about cleanliness. They will design your piercing whether its your ears or something else to fit and highlight your body and personality. I have even seen them recommend that someone not get a specific piercing for their ear shape which I thought was very bold and was appreciated. Personally I was nervous and concerned about fainting, they were very comforting, professional and everyone clearly explained that regardless of the wait to get an appointment there was absolutely no pressure to get a piercing or have any purchase if I didnt want to. They are amazing

Ive come to Dorje twice, and it has been a great experience both times. It is pricier compared to other services, but up they offer privacy, attentiveness, and a clean, relaxing space that absolutely justify it. The staff really are excellent, and they provide great information for the healing process as well as any follow-up care that may be needed.

It was an amazing experience from the time I walked in the door to the time i walked out. everyone was kind and seemed like they really valued your experience. I was lucky enough to be pierced by nick, and when I tell you I am blown away with how awesome the experience was I am not over exaggerating. This is my third time getting my ears Pierced and I’ve always had trouble with infections and piercings not lasting. Turns out I’m allergic to the metals. Here they use titanium and I haven’t had any problems so far. Unlike my other piercings there was an extremely low pain rate. It was barley sore and the upcoming days were the same followed with little to no swelling. I will definitely be going here from now on to get my next piercings. Clean, professional, and a calming energy.

Tom is one of the most professional, diligent, outgoing, and all together awesome people Ive ever met. My partner enjoys piercings and has followed Tom everywhere and this is by far the best location he has worked at. Everything is clean, inviting, and very much an enjoyable place, with the exception of the church pew for the seating area as it isnt a place I can personally sit due to tailbone issues. If they add a nice foam cushioning to the seat portion though that will be all solved and a cheap fix, plus it makes it way more comfortable for their customers. The wood makes you tense and before a piercing I would say reducing nerves and such in pressure points is probably a plus.That is honestly the only recommendation I have. If you are looking for a piercing please consider this and in particular Tom, although all the people working there are very very proficient and have that same professionalism. The new shop is so gorgeous too!!

I went to Dorje Adornments after looking for a good place to get my nostril pierced for a couple months, and every place I found had unreliable schedualing. They accepted me as a walk in. I was nervous, and Marley guided me through everything making sure I knew exactly what to expect. He explained how he was going to pierce my nose and how the jewelry worked, and overall made sure I was comfortable. The place is super clean, and the tools are sterilized and freshly opened for each client. I absolutely recommend this place, lovely people, I will come again.

I have had 4 piercings done here. Each time the staff were very helpful, kind, and informative. The atmosphere is very comfortable, especially in their new location. This is one of the only APP certified shops around Rochester. All the jewelry they use is high quality, brand new, and sterilized. One staff member, Dana, has pierced me multiple times. Hes a chill person andis good at starting fun conversations, making the piercing process less nerve wrecking. This place is a little pricier than most shops, but youre paying for VERY high quality work.

Dana pierced me and he was great! Super friendly and knowledgeable right out of the gate, the piercing was fast and clean, and he was very detailed and professional when explaining proper aftercare. Having had bad piercing experiences in the past, I was nervous and he made it a virtually painless process. I would absolutely recommend this shop. Got my right Tragus pierced and loved it so much I went and got the other done 4 months later. Nick and Tom who did my piercings were wonderful. They were so kind and knowledgeable, and even redid the marks for one of my piercings because they want to make it perfect. You do not get this level of customer care anywhere else. The shop itself is so clean, the equipment is sterilised, and their jewellery is top quality.

Went here to get my septum pierced and overall it was a great experience! I was super nervous when I went in to get it done, but the people who work there are so friendly and kind it really helped make me feel more at ease. Its very clean, they are very informative and answered all of my questions, no problem. The jewelry is a bit pricey, but the quality of it 100% makes up for it. I have been pierced in various places so I am familiar with what to expect for the most part. However, I was surprised at how attentive and informative the staff was here. Usually the conversation is what you want, which piercing to put in it, and then the after care before sending you on your way. Mainly, I worked with Tom and he held my hand the whole process for my Prince Albert piercing. Every step of the way, he shared information on the piercing with timelines for healing. Made sure all my questions were answered and this was just the consultation. On the actual day of the piercing, Tom went over everything again and made sure I was comfortable. Overall, if I have any future piercing plans, I will be sure to choose Dorje.

I can’t recommend enough! The shop is impeccably clean & the staff is wonderful. I had been to other shops in Rochester that were okay. Every individual Ive worked with at Dorje is an absolute class act. They are knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I had a lovely experience from start to finish, everyone was very warm welcoming if you’re experiencing any anxiety or really wonderful about kind of making cute jokes and getting used to laugh and listen up which is what I needed. I had my nose pierced twice so far and unfortunately I’m so careful and I even tried different piercing rings and for some reason they’re out of my nose when I wake up, I am honestly hoping and praying that there’s a different maybe with a squiggly on the end of it that would work better for me in my nose so it’s not always popping out somewhere in my sheets I don’t know how that happens but if it always does and I love to keep it I I want it back I miss it! I live an hour away but my son and I would like to come up just have to figure out how I set an appointment with you guys and we will be there I’ll try to go for round three, Lol! You guys definitely provide the most relaxing informative everything from any other place I’ve never gone so I do most certainly feel most confident your hands hopefully we can get together.

My daughter recently had her nose pierced here. They are very though and told us how to prevent infection etc. The piercer Dana was very nice and made us feel very comfortable. All their jewelry and equipment is sterilized thoughly and the room is very sanitary. The jewelry is high quality. The would definitely visit them for all your piercing needs and jewelry.

Love, love, LOVE the people, they were so encouraging and the piercer was very calm and threw lots of humor into their little speech about how to take care of the piercings and it calmed me down so much. They really made sure you were comfortable and made sure you looked over your earrings and the markings were they would go a bunch of times to know that this is the right decision for you!

I got my nostril pierced here a little over a month ago by Tom. I’ve had my nose pierced many times. This was the least painful and have have 0 issues with it. I expected to have some issues or irritation but none so far. The after care instructions and saline are easy and work effortlessly. That combined with the jewelry sizing , placement and quality, I am beyond a happy satisfied customer.

If there was an option for 6 stars, Id give it to this place! My sister and I went in for matching upper cartilage piercings, and we had the best experience. Tom, the staff member who pierced us, was incredibly friendly and so informative. He had us laughing the whole time. He answered all our questions, and even responded promptly to our questions when we emailed several days after. The place was super clean and the choices for jewelry were very nice, ranging from beautifully simple to entrancingly complex. It was on the pricey side (around $80 for piercing, jewelry, and tip), but worth every penny! I couldnt recommend this place highly enough.

My ex girlfriend got her nose pierced here in February and I got my nose pierced here around April. The people are extremely nice and their shop is very clean, they take good care of you as a customer and have beautiful options for piercings. The only issue is how expensive it is. I understand why its so expensive but I sadly cant go back because of the price otherwise I definitely would be returning for other piercings. I highly recommend, especially for a first piercing because they talk you through everything and make sure you are okay so it calms any nerves you may have and they are so kind.

I got my Daith pierced about a week ago and I could not be happier. It was an absolutely GREAT experience. Ive been going to them before they were on Park Ave, and Ive only gone to them ever since.Their piercers are the /only/ APP certified piercers in Rochester, but not only do they have extraordinary credentials they are also some of the friendliest people youll ever meet (including the awesome receptionists)!Additionally, their jewelry is not only high quality, but absolutely beautiful from everything from steel to glass to gemstones they have (or can order) almost anything.Furthermore, something that I find unique in my (admittedly limited) piercing shop experience they have somewhat of a warranty (dont quote me on phrasing). For example, one of my glass plugs was knocked out soon after it was pieced. I was heartbroken. It looked like the hole was closing up, I was covered in blood. It was bad. I went back to the shop and I was greeted with a great big hug, and they quickly popped the jewelry back inside of me. Free of charge. People say they are a little pricey, but you are paying for quality here.

Staff was super welcoming and friendly. They helped me pick out which jewelry was right for me without pushing the most expensive one. The place was very clean and the piercer was very informative and made me feel comfortable while I was there. Definitely going to get all piercings from here now.

Underwhelmed...called months ago just trying to get in just to buy an eyebrow ring and they dont let anyone in without an appt.. I thought the girl on the phone was kind of rude short and snippy but they told me I cant get an appointment unless theres a piercer in which made no sense to me.... so they said me Id have to wait 2 months for the next opening. They finally just opened up for shoppers and for all the hassle it was just to get an appointment as a first time buyer I felt rushed and the selection really wasnt that impressive for how expensive it is. They might as well put their jewelry online instead of inconveniencing their customers. Although the guy who greeted me at the door was very personable and kind. I appreciate how thoughtful he was when I came in with my hands full like always. My stars are for him and how pretty it was inside. Wish I caught his name!

I went today with a friend to finally get my septum pierced and they wanted to get thier ears pierced. We chose this place becuase it was open and had high reviews, and honestly Im so glad we came here. Everyone was so nice and professional and I really felt comfortable and taken care of. Nyx was our piercer and he was fantastic. He really made the whole experience really fun and his bedside manner was awesome. If I ever want any other piercings I will definitely be coming back here. I got 2 peircings from Tom and he was incredible. Lots of good information that has 100% made my piercings heal better than anything I have had done elsewhere. The man who helped me pick out my jewlery was also very kind and had great suggestions. Lots of beautiful high quality jewlery.

Yesterday my friend and I went and saw Tom at Dorje Adornments. To say we had a great experience was an understatement. I walked in not knowing what I wanted as my friend wanted her nose pierced. Tom came over put some dots on my ears and told me why he thought that the piercing would look good where he placed the dots. I ended up getting 2 forward Helix piercings and they came out amazing! My friend and I were super nervous but he talked to us the whole time and made sure we were comfortable. I’ve had other piercings done at different places, but this was by far my favorite and best experience. I highly Reccommend Tom and Dorje Adornments to everyone! Ive been wanting to get my septum pierced for over a year, and finally decided it was time. I already knew through word of mouth that I wanted to get it done at Dorje- I had a diy nose piercing experience in my early 20s and it didnt go great, guys. Now that I am a full adult and no longer ridiculous I thought itd be a good idea to visit the other end of the spectrum and get pierced by the best.I went in last Wednesday to ask some questions and book and appointment and Taylor was there to help! Her septum jewelry was exactly what I wanted (small, thin, rose gold) and she answered my questions and showed me the options- I could get a ring with a small ball closure (Im not versed in piercing and jewelry verbiage) or a seamless ring with a hinge. I wanted the seamless look, and she told me I could do the ball closure and keep the ball hidden up in my nostril. I initially decided on that since the ball ring was at a considerably lower price point- but after I left I thought about it and decided on the hinge ring- I didnt want to have to worry about fiddling with it to keep the ball hidden. But I think it was very cool that she didnt push the pricier hinge ring, even though she probably knew thats what I should get. I booked an appointment for yesterday and said shed be there and see me then! Taylor is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable- I was so glad she was there!Yesterday I went in and met Dana who would be piercing me. He was so nice, and I had a great time talking to Taylor and him while things were being sanitized. We went upstairs to a room that was like a cross between a medical exam room and a spa- very clean, sanitary and uncluttered, but relaxing like, maybe you could get a massage there too.He gave me the run-down and let me know what he was doing every step of the way. I have a deviated septum and he took time to poke around and find the exact right spot for the piercing. We chatted the whole time, a lot about piercing stuff, and a lot about food! There was some pain, but mostly just lots of eye-watering, and it was not nearly as bad as my previously mentioned at-home nostril piercing. Aftercare and the healing process was thoroughly explained to me, and they told me to pop in in about a week so they could see how it was doing. Im so glad Dana was my piercer, not only was I totally at ease, but I had fun!During checkout Dana gave me restaurant recs for an upcoming trip, and Taylor included a travel size aftercare mist I can fly with- a gesture I found super thoughtful.I had an amazing experience from start to finish at Dorje- I kinda didnt want to leaveIll definitely be back for other jewelry- they have a gorgeous selection. And maybe someday Ill go in to switch my septum ring for something louder, but for now my simple ring is perfect!

Super clean place, very big and fancy looking! staff were super nice and helpful. tom did my nose piercing. since it was my first one, they let me sit and recuperate even though they were about to close. reasonably priced imo ($65 for a nose piercing and jewelry piece). overall i definitely recommend!

They carry nice high end jewelry but nothing in the affordable range. Music way to loud, place tiny and crowded. Made it hard to relax for a piercing. Saving grace was my piercer, he was a great guy, knowledgeable and kind. He kept his tools and work area organized and clean!

The entire staff at Dorje is incredible. Everything from scheduling to aftercare was so friendly and professional. Tom was super nice and the best piercer I have worked with to date. So glad I went to Dorje, I will definitely be back!

Tom did such a good job on my septum! I have a small nose and he did the measurement great and it’s just perfect. I had a bull ring to start out so I could flip it up during work, but went back to purchase a new ring once it was healed and I get so many compliments on it! The pricing of the jewelry may be a little on the high side, but trust me it’s worth it. You don’t want cheap metal in your body or to spend a liiitle less on something your gems might fall out of.

This place is absolutely wonderful! I am so sad they are closed due to Covid and hope they open soon although I understand why they are still closed. I got my belly button pierced here a couple years ago and I have a history of piercings always getting infected and such when i have gone to other piercing shops (due to no fault of my own I clean them constantly and take such good care) so I was hesitant and worried this would happen with my belly button but the piercers made sure I was comfortable and gave me tons to info and made sure my belly button type would not reject the piercing which was so great. (Most piercers just do the piercing you want not informing you on any possibilities based on the way that part of your body is) I was so pleased with the piercing and never ever have had any issues with it. I truly love this place.

Tom was my piercer and he did absolutely GREAT. My repiercing didn’t hurt nearly as bad as the original (from somewhere else). He made sure that I was very comfortable and everything was sterile. Please go to Dorje, it’s worth every penny!

Got my tragus done here and have purchased all my nose jewellery from here as well.Its not the cheapest place on the market, but youre paying for quality jewellery, workers that are extremely experienced in what theyre doing, amazing customer service, and the guarantee that you will leave happy.Today, I wanted to make the transition from a nose stud to a hoop and came here. The first hoop they put in was too thick for my liking. Despite having taken it out of the sterile package and inserting it into my nose, the gentleman who was helping me offered to find a smaller size and assured me that I had to be happy with my purchase before I left.Everyone here is very friendly and you wont be disappointed.

I think they are the best place in Rochester! 1) Youll be astounded by their level of professionalism, hygiene, and knowledge 2) They are always more than courteous and take all the time in the world with you. The last time I was there, I believe I was in the shop almost 2 hours! 3) At Dorje, they have a tremendous aesthetic eye. They will artistically and carefully pierce you where it looks best. Very professional. Ive tried to have my ears pierced 4 times before at other places and always had problems. One month later, these are doing great! I think the high quality jewelry made in the U.S. makes a huge difference because I had previously tried 24k gold and stainless steel and had excessive swelling.

I didnt even get my ears pierced by them, It was suggested to me someone. I walked in looking for information and help because my ear piercings were slightly infected and I also had a small skin flap on the back side. Without asking for money the guy brought me back, put on gloves, and took a look at my ears for me and gave me some tips on how to better take care of them. Awesome, very clean, and professional. I would suggest Dorje to anyone considering a piercing, and they also had some sweet jewelry. I will definitely go back there when I get my second piercing.

I havent had the best experience with this place so far. My first visit was great, they worked with me to find an alternative to an industrial and were very nice and understanding. However, my problem is the piercer... I was told by another piercer there that they pierced my cartilage too close to my glasses. It has had a bump on it since the first month and I still have the bump a year later. My second visit, I had a really great piercer who came from a different state and told us she only works there sometimes. She was very friendly to me and my boyfriend and made the experience enjoyable, and my daith and conch were pierced well by her. My third visit, I came in for my 2nd and 3rd lobes. I had the same piercer as my first visit. They spent 5-10 minutes working to get the dots lined up perfectly on my ears.... Then they pierced it from the back of my ear which did not seem right to me. Theyre not even. Me and my boyfriend noticed that as soon as we left. That piercer isnt very sociable either, there was a lot of silence. Unfortunately, I dont know of any better piercing studios in my area, so if I do end up coming back here, I will likely be requsting a specific piercer just to avoid the one Ive had bad experiences with.

We had my daughters ears pierced here and it was just an all around GREAT experience. The staff were all extremely professional, patient, kind and informative. Afterwards we kept waiting for her ears to get red or inflamed as they healed but they never did. I was just amazed with the whole process. So glad we made this choice!

I got my nose pierced elsewhere in Rochester & after 9 months it never healed properly. I went to Dorje to get their opinion, they gave me one option to help it heal, without charging me. It didnt heal and I went back in a month or so later and they gave me another option to help it heal, again without charging me. After another couple months without success I went back to see if I had to take it out. They suggested trying a higher quality piece of jewelry. Disclaimed that it MAY not solve the problem, but it was the next step. Its been a month and the piercing is the best its been since I got it. Theyre the best.

Came in october to get my daith done. it was the best and easiest healing process i’ve ever had. just went today to get some jewelry to fully dress up my ears. from the front of house staff ensuring all covid precautions are being taken to the guy (can’t remember your name, sorry!) who helped me pick out my jewelry to tom, the piercer, who did a great job bringing the whole look together, i couldn’t ask for a better experience. definitely worth the wait to get an appointment here. cant wait for the day they can do under the mask safely and i can update my nose piercing! thanks so much!!

Woohoo! I just went to get my naval piercing done. Tom was super nice and patient and had a great sense of humor! The overall pricing at the end was a little more than I had expected to spend, but I opted to get one of the prettier pieces. 10/10 will go back for future piercings!!

I went with my mom and my cousin. I got my nose pierced, my mom got her Rook and upper cartilage pierced as well as her nose re-pierced, and my cousin got her tragus and her upper cartilage pierced. They happily answered tons of questions about random stuff relating to all sorts of piercings and the jewelry they have on hand (which is gorgeous and great quality). They are a little difficult to spot from the road, but the GPS got us there fine! I definitely plan to return again once I decide what I want to get next! They are pricier than some of the standard shops you think of with piercing, but you are 100% getting what you pay for and more.

Cant say enough wonderful things about these guys. My 10 year old daughter decided it was time to get her ears pierced. We went through the consultation appointment which was wonderful. She left knowing exactly what was going to happen and what some of the things would feel like. When we had to reschedule a few times they were flexible and worked hard to get us an appointment that would work for us. Fast forward to the actual piercing and they were so welcoming. They spent time making sure she had jewelry that she was really happy with. They instantly made her feel at ease. Tom was calm and centered making my daughter feel the same. He reminded her of all the steps and took his time. He spoke directly to her and made her feel in control. Most notable was the constant idea of consent. Tom asked her every time Im going to clean your ears.. is that ok? Im going to stand here..is that ok. I loved that. When she was done the whole place made her feel like a princess. Making such a big deal out of her ears :) they even gave her a goodie bag. Hands down would I recommend this place.

I’ve been going here for years, but the appointment only thing is killer for me. I get the need for an appointment with a bigger project or involved work. But not for opening an old ear piercing. Used to be laid back and down to earth, not sure what happened but it’s sad. I mean I could understand a COVID “call to see if there’s an opening policy” but it’s email only.

This is an amazing shop run by some of the nicest people i have ever met. The jewelry selection is to die for, and their piercing work is top notch. They are also the only members of the Association of Professional Piercers in Rochester. I would recommend anyone looking for a piercing in Rochester to go here.

They cost is WORTH IT here. Please do not go to any other place than her. They really care about their customers. I got my nose ring here and thank god they really cared about the piercing and helped me make the right selection.. and they have the most beautiful selection of nose rings here too. Definitely will come back.

Got my septum done here and I have to say it was the most pleasant experience I had! The staff is excellent and knowledgeable! The jewelry is higher end and can be pricey but that is because they are all hand crafted . They also stalk jewelry for gauged and non gauged ears that are beautiful!

Dorje is, without question, the best place in Rochester to get pierced. They are extremely sanitary as well as professional. Recently I went to have my navel piercing refitted after it fell out (after over a year of having the piercing). They could have simply charged me for a new piece of jewelry, but instead they checked to make sure that my piercing (as in, like, the hole in my body) was still in good health and that it had healed properly, and also personally fitted me with a new piece of jewelry.Dorje is very helpful and welcoming to people who have few or no piercings; they take their time to thoroughly examine everybodys anatomy and to professionally explain whether or not a person is suitable for any given type of piercing. All of their piercers have a venerable standing with the Association of Profesional Piercers.
