Andy is literally now a LEGEND in our book!!! Especially in our new chapter in this life! He spent several hours yesterday working with a group of 10 of us. And he absolutely brought to life the tribute tattoo I wanted. It was my 1st tattoo and well worth the pain. I never thought of anything or anyone that would be more worth while to dedicate a work of art to on my body than to her! Andy’s talent absolutely provided that story perfectly! My oldest daughter passed away suddenly. The amount of pain that comes from that is honestly immeasurable! She herself had many tattoos. She was 1 of the most expressive, talented, hilarious, and Beautiful souls inside and out person I have ever been honored to meet and be the luckiest to be her mom so beyond blessed unfortunately it was for to short of a time!!!! Anyone that met her surely never forgot her. Her protectiveness, love, jokes and faith in all of us will never be forgotten! In a couple of days will be her birthday.. I pray we did right by her in this life and always. Thank you Andy for giving me the tools to give her this gift from all of us that love her beyond this life it is PRICELESS!!! Marli is amazing! She has done my helix, conch, and forward helix. They all were minimal pain and have healed beautifully! I also believe all of them were $40-65 not including tip, so very affordable!I had a bad urgent care experience where a physician ripped out my piercing (I at least got my copay back). I called Marli, and despite me being out of state for college, she was still super helpful over the phone. I really appreciated all of the aftercare help!Marli also took a lot of time with me mapping out where the helix piercings could go and was very patient as I decided. I’m unsure if I’ll want more forward helix piercings in the future which can’t always be done in multiples, but she still took the time to measure out the back length and spacing so all three would fit if I end up wanting the other two in the future. She is very thorough and really went above and beyond for me!

I went to another place a week prior for my nose and lip piercings and all piercings fell out the same day. Marlo has done my piercings before and was exceptional then and now. She’s VERY sanitary, kind, patient. NO ONE but her will do my piercings!!!!!

I went and saw Rock for my tattoo and I couldnt have been happier! Rock was so kind and understanding to what I wanted my piece to look like. The detail he put into this piece is astounding! Big props to Rock.Also, everyone else at the shop seemed really nice and funny! Cool atmosphere!!

Rock has a natural kindness that was so evident. He made the experience wonderful and he is an amazing artist and sincere person. I almost jumped up to hug him when I saw the final result. Wow. I love it so much. Thank you!!

I saw Roc for a tattoo of magnolia flowers in memorial of my mother. I’m blown away by the vibrant colors and how they look so real on my shoulder. The shop is clean. Roc is friendly and was considerate of my comfort level making it an overall amazing experience. Thank you!

Got a matching tattoo here with my mom 2 years ago and had a great experience! We came as walk ins and waited less than two hours. Place was very clean and we both received quality tattoos at a very reasonable price! Healed marvelously within a week and looks like new after 2 years. Would absolutely recommend, especially to friends and family.

Their work looks great, but I have tried reaching out to two different artists there to book an appt and have not gotten an answer.

My new tattoo is fabulous! I walked in one day, chatted with Woody about what I was looking for in a design, sent him a couple pics and made an appointment to return a couple weeks later. My appointment got started a little late, but I had a couple minor tweaks for the design, so it was cool anyway. Woody has some serious talent!The people I interacted with were friendly. Its a nice laid back environment. I zoned out for 3ish hours and at the end had a unique piece of art on my leg. Im dreaming up the next piece of art already!Thanks for a great experience, Ill be sending anyone who is looking for a great place to get some ink to you guys.

The only place in Rochester I would get my piercings from .. beyond clean and professional I was recommended this place by a family member and 10/10 will be going back every thing heals beautifully and amazing quality jewelery the piercer is amazing

Rock is an outstanding artist who created a cover up piece that is absolutely fantastic. I definitely will be having him do more tattoos for me

My partner and I came in around November 2022 to do an tattoo,We gladly paid a deposit a week in advance for a particular tattoo, coming into the appointment, the artist (review will be updated when we figure out his name again) was very dismissive and rude, and seemed rushed (more on that later)...My partner expressed concern, as they have a medical condition tied to pain, and just asked the tattoo artist to go easy, and had no issues, and just had to take a short break. The tattoo artist was extremely rude and made quips about pain tolerance. Throughout tattooing my partner raised concerns about patchy areas, and color. These were dismissed out of hand. Its just shading the artist insisted (He asked specifically for solid color for the entire tattoo) and when the tattoo gun water dipping tray started turning redder than expected, (this would be my partners fifth tattoo) once again, we were dismissed out of hand that it was just orange pigment from the tattoo gun (He hadnt gotten to color yet).All in all, not a fantastic experience,And then the quality of the tattoo came more and more apparent as it healedAs pictured below, the tattoo is quickly fading only months later, there are distinct lines and spots with no color whatsoever, and the black outline is shaky and not very solid, and if you look closely, he couldnt even keep inside the lines at the bottom of the tattoo.This tattoo was a copy / redo same design on the other arm, that is planned to cover up the originalSo, now we not only need a cover-up of the original (which was already planned) we also need a touch-up.Honestly, I couldnt even imagine going back in for a free touch-up, let alone another tattoo.

Was in town travelling from Indiana, and was very graciously given a spot in Spennys busy schedule (who so kindly fit me in even on such short notice). Loved the whole experience- clean with a comfortable and cool atmosphere with complete professionalism from all staff!Spenny was quick, thoughtful, and just a totally baller artist- I absolutely love these new pieces. Could not have asked for a better experience! 🤩 10/10 for tattoos, 100/10 for Spenny

Got a tattoo done by Rock today. Wanted to relay my incredible experience. He was accommodating, asked me frequently if there were things I’d like changed or altered even after the tattoo was finished. His line work is incredible and the tattoo is perfection. Very talented man. Definitely recommend.

I got my septum pierced here a few months ago and i was told it didn’t look right bc of swelling, a year later and u can hardly see the piercing it was done far too high:( i paid $70 , would not recommend.

I normally don’t bother to leave reviews but I wanted to comment on how great our experience was! My brother and I came in and each got a piece done by Range. He worked with us and both of our tattoos came out perfect, exactly what we wanted. His station was very clean as well. Plus he was friendly and fun to chat with, I’ll definitely come back here!

I was super excited to get my second (& third) tattoos, but have a terrible schedule to work around. Andy was able to squeeze me in and get both tats finished up within the hour. He was super nice and made sure everything was perfect. Consistently asked if I was comfortable and was a very kind conversationalist. I will definitely be booking at Mellow Madness - and with Andy - again!

This is the first bad review I ever wrote in my life. Its not to give anyone a bad rep or bash anyone but I dont want someone getting stuck with something they might regret for the rest of their lives. I got a tatto from Liz which is a relatively big piece covering most of my upper arm. She finished it from sketch to done in about 2 hours and then proceeded to charge me $450. Theres unnecessary lines in the tattoo that dont make sense. All in all I felt I was rushed and she might have not been in the best state to tattoo this piece. She said to go back for a touch up in a few weeks but I cant really trust her with that.

Shop was clean and extremely presentable. Andy did my tattoo for my daughter, and it came out perfect. He was very easy going and respectful 🙏🏻 . Ill definitely be going back for more pieces.

Showed up crying because another piercing shop had messed up my dermal piercings. Saw Marli and she was so nice and patient with me and fixed my piercings! So thankful for her.You can see from the photos that everything healed up nicely with minimal scaring and I am soo happy with them now!

Came in for a flash, Friday the 13th tattoo today and had a great experience!! Everyone was super friendly. Spenny did my tattoo and he was very professional, easy to talk to, and accommodating. He made the whole process quick and comfortable. My tattoo came out awesome!!! Will definitely be returning 🙂

Disappointed. I took my infant daughter here to get her ears pierced. I called this place a week ago and asked if they do infant piercings and the woman on the phone said yes but they have to be 6 months and I said great! My daughter is 7 months. So I scheduled her appointment for Aug 28th (today). When I arrive with my daughter in her stroller. The receptionist/piercer/tattoo artist sat behind the corner and watched me struggle to bring my stroller in which is fine I guess. I didn’t receive help and she didn’t greet me but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. But she then tells me I got my date wrong and my appointment is for tomorrow so I look at my phone and I see I wrote the appointment down for today. Fine, sure, one of us made a mistake. Once again, not a dealbreaker. She said she could do it now since I’m here. Then the actual appointment started and the piercer couldn’t care less. I told her I brought my own earrings and she was like well we sell cadmium and nickel free jewelry but it’s your kid you can do what you want. Her bedside manner was horrendous. My daughter wasn’t screaming or crying but she WAS looking all around but once again, she’s 7 months old and the piercer just looked annoyed AF and was like I won’t be able to pierce her if you don’t hold her down. So I held my baby’s face while she pierced her. She was like a he’s screaming and kicking (after the piercing happened). Yes, she’s a BABY. She just seemed annoyed she had to deal with us, like she didn’t want to be there. Which is a shame as I was so excited for my baby’s first piercing that I would’ve bought anything she was selling. I also was interested in getting tattoos with my husband, but the piercers attitude was so off putting, I don’t want to go back and check out what the tattooers in the shop can do.It also amused me then when I left there weee 3 clients in the waiting area and she made sure to hold the door open for me and tell me thank you but when I came in sat there and watched me struggle. #phony.Two stars- one the shop is really nice. Two- one of the tattooers who was tattooing a guy when I came in seemed like a nice guy to HIS client. Wish I had him as a piercer.PS- don’t cater to an age of a client that annoys you. If you don’t like babies, don’t Pierce babies ears.

The best piercing place! The piercer is very kind and patient. She did my bridge & septum piercing very professionally and well. The atmosphere of the place is very comforting and Im normally a very anxious person in general. She explained aftercare well and worked well with me on what I needed. Will definitely come back for other piercings if needed! :)

I had to have my nose re pierced because the original place I went to did a terrible job. I came to mellow madness and had Marli re do it. She did an awesome job and was very informative with after care etc. Definitely go here if you want a professionally done piercing!!

You could do far worse than this place. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout my piercing process. However, the placement of my double nostril hoop piercing ended up being off of what I was hoping for. After a few months of healing issues & generally not being too happy with it, I ended up getting a second opinion. I found out the piercings were definitely misplaced and will need to be taken out and redone for optimal results. This being said, the piercings didn’t look too bad, the prices were good, everything was sterile & of good materials, and Marli (the piercer) was very approachable and helpful. I really did enjoy working with her through the process and think overall she’s talented at what she does.I’d just recommend going elsewhere for piercings if you want a specific style or a more complicated piercing than something like a septum or ears. I ended up going to Dorje Adornments to redo mine, and while they’re difficult to get in with I was much happier with both the jewelry options and results.No idea how their tattoos are but I’d be inclined to think they’re good. I did really enjoy working with this place though I wish I had better results for my piercings.

Pierced my double labrets so badly that I had to take them out and then get them repierced somewhere else. They also pierced my septum crooked. Pierced my friends septum crooked too. Do not get pierced here. I know at least 3 people who have had more advanced piercings (septum, lip, eyebrow) done at Mellow Madness and none are satisfied

Marli was so professional and helpful when doing my ear piercings! I tend to be a bit of a fainter (the adrenaline drop takes me down) and she was very quick to help me get my blood sugar up and prevented me from passing out while finishing my second piercing. Clean and sterile shop. Highly recommend :)

I left an original review and was unable to reply to the owners review so I am making a new one. Now, since she wants to add in erroneous details, Im going to have to leave a negative review. Before, I was just disappointed, but since since you want to get cute with the details, Im going to have to let the people know.Never, not once, did I ever state or imply I was a Social Media Mom, where did you get that from? I asked could I film the experience so I could share it with her grandparents? When it quickly became apparent that my child was too wiggly I put my phone away and held her down. I only took out my phone once more because I thought putting on Ms. Rachel would calm her a bit, and it did and then it didnt.You couldve told me to come back tomorrow at my original appointment date (so you say). I have it written down as Monday the 28th in all of my appointment books. That wasnt a dealbreaker, but since you want to act like you were doing me a favor. Lets define what a favor means shall we? A favor is doing an act of kindness beyond what is due. You did NOT do me a favor, you provided me with a service that one of us got the date wrong for.I didnt assist you in helping you hold her still? Lady, are you kidding? So I didnt hold her down for you? Were just going to pretend that didnt happen? How were her ears pierced, cause you sure didnt help. You are correct, the parents job is to parent, but as a service provider you offer no words of encouragement or anything. Nothing. Terrible bedside manner. That was my first time in a tattoo parlor and I had so many questions and was just looking for someone who could help relax my emotions not heighten them. What if I were getting a tattoo (as a grown adult woman), would you come after me for being wiggly in the chair and be like well... you should know better, you signed up for this. What kind of attitude is that? If you want to have and maintain customers, you should really evaluate your bedside manner.

I got a couple tattoos from rock, his work is amazing, always asking if you’re okay and if you’d like anything changed and makes sure it come out how you want it love the experiences i’ve had and will definitely keep coming back 💪🏼

Great experience for my first tattoo. My artist was Spenny, he was very welcoming and did an incredible job. He was comforting and talked me through the tattoo. Great guy, made an effort to have conversation the whole time I was there. Amazing experience, I love my tattoo and definitely plan on going back in the future. Highly recommend!!!

The best tattoo parlor around in the state. Incredible artists and great prices. Work done is very detailed, and the latest technology is used, and time spent is worth EVERY penny. Get on over to Mellow Madness if you need ink done. I promise you wont be disappointed.

I took my 15 year old to get their septum pierced and Marli was fantastic. She’s very meticulous about placement and very thorough with aftercare instructions. The shop is clean and comfortable, the prices are very reasonable and everyone was very friendly. I’m glad we chose Mellow Madness and would choose it again

I went in to get a Friday the 13th flash tattoo. Everyone was super nice and the place was clean. I got paired up with Spenny Turbo as my artist. Dude was super chill and he took his time with placement and the piece itself. It was super busy so the fact he took his time with the entire process meant a lot. I highly recommend him as an artist! For sure going to him for my next piece

My friend and I had an AMAZING experience getting piercings at this shop. We got nipples and a nose piercing by Marli, and we absolutely loved her. We usually go to another shop, but due to their shop closing early we decided to try Mellow Madness, and we were not disappointed. Marli fit us into her schedule, was patient and took her time with us. She made sure we both felt comfortable, educated us on proper care, and took the time to make sure piercings were even and centered. This is the second time Ive had these piercings done, and this time around they were definitely done with much more care. Will definitely be recommending her, and will hopefully be seeing her again in the future for more of my own piercings 💜

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos and a touch up from Spenny and haven’t had a single issue. Every line is exceptional. He takes extreme measures to make sure every tool is clean and covered properly. He is an amazing artist, and clearly cares about each client. By far the best I’ve been. I will most certainly continue going to Spenny for any tattoos I get in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him.

It was my first time here & Darby ws awesome! She was so sweet, her vibe ws super mellow, very nice & chill..but her art is vibrant, bold, brilliant & harmoniously beautiful! I absolutely LOVE the way my tattoo turned out! The shop was clean & professional while also being a warm & inviting place to have some artistic pain inflicted at your request! Def Highly recommend!

Went to Marbles for my first tattoo. Her work is incredible, and am still floored by how good it looks. The shop was clean, the staff all seemed great and clearly enjoy not just their work, but the community. Already scheduled to go back, and would recommend the shop to anyone.

I absolutely adore Marley. She’s wonderful and I’ve gotten nearly all my piercings done by her. She really is super patient and kind.I also got my first tattoo done here. It was..a awful experience. Spenny had been given references of what I had wanted done and was unable to do it. I ended up drawing my own version which was meant to be a reference for him, which he just ended up copying completely. In the end, my tattoo would’ve been fine had it not ended up being blown out in some areas. Trying to contact him is IMPOSSIBLE. I tried to contact him to touch up the tattoo and just gave up because he would never reply. This place is okay overall! Just don’t go to Spenny.

I went in to get my earlobes pierced, and the overall experience was very pleasant. It was my first time getting any kind of piercing done but Marli explained the entire procedure very well and it was quick and easy. I suddenly came really close to passing out after my second piercing but she was very patient and helpful while I sat in the shop for a while to recover. All in all, the service was great and reasonably priced too!

I just came back for my second tattoo by their artist Spenny, and I cant recommend him enough. He did my first tattoo and made sure to walk me through the whole process and was super nice. Both of my tattoos by him are incredible, and I couldnt be happier with them. If you want a super chill and comfortable tattoo experience with some incredible, clean art, definitely check him out!

After 6 years since my first tattoo at 18 in Spain to just getting a new one last night this shop was far better than the prior one I went to and really recommend them. Everything was organized and Range really worked with me to customize and make my tattoo how I wanted. His line work is really clean and precise. Took my daughter here to get her ears pierced a second time. Marli was amazing! Super patient and incredibly professional. The shop itself is relaxed and the staff are all very nice. Will 100% be going back.

My husband and I paid Spenny the $200 deposit to book Sunday, January 8th all day. We were both going to be getting tattoos. Spenny seemed really cool and excited about what we wanted. We booked several weeks in advance, and then the night before, Saturday the 7th, he cancelled on us saying he was extremely ill. My husband and I are pretty understanding people, so while we were disappointed, we had no issues with having to reschedule. Spenny asked that we give him a few days and hed get back to us. By Tuesday we hadnt heard anything, so we reached out to him to discuss his availability. By Friday the 13th, he still hadnt responded to either of us. I called the shop this afternoon after they opened, and was told that he was actually there tattooing today. While were glad to hear hes feeling better, we didnt appreciate the lack of communication so I asked that we get a full refund of our deposit and he did provide it.

Got my first piercing here, earlobe.Lives up to the name, chill atmosphere. Very straightforward and everything got done quick and almost painless. Recommended for first timers.Cash only. Bring cash or be ready for the ATM fee.

These guys are awesome. after my first tattoo experience gone wrong with a different shop, i was more cautious about getting another. After a friend recommended Mellow to me i checked out their website and booked with Spenny, who made sure every detail was discussed thoroughly, and walked me through his process. also, he’s an awesome artist. definitely my new go-to for Roc artists. 10/10 experience

I had an excellent experience with Marli. She listened to my wants/goals & we worked together to find a good placement for my conch piercing.We also discussed future piercings/jewelry and I never felt rushed during our appt. I am really excited to continue working with her!P.S. She also had earrings that fit the size stone & style I wanted in my 5th lobe so that was an added bonus today for sure!

I have been here a few times for tattoos and every time I’ve always had a great experience. Recently I had a rib tattoo done by their artist Rock, he is one of the best tattoo artists I’ve had. If anyone is looking for a good tattoo shop in the area I always recommend here.

All of the staff is very friendly, I felt very comfortable getting my first tattoo there. Spenny was awesome, very funny and did a great job on my tattoo and assured me it wouldnt hurt that bad. Id love to come back although Im not a fan of the city location.

Great tattoo parlor! My husband and I have had several tattoos from Chuck Deluxe and couldnt be happier with his work! He also did an AMAZING cover up on my husbands forearm. Turned an old school Pegasus into a dragon and you cant tell it is a cover up at all. Highly recommend to everyone!

My friend and I both got nose piercings a little under a month ago and would do it again!! Marli was very kind and able to answer any questions I had. The environment of the shop is also great-- all friendly people and an adorable shop dog. Would go again!!

My artist was Spenny, and he did such an amazing job! He was thorough, made me feel comfortable, and I will be returning to him for my next tattoo. He is very very good at script work, I got a tattoo of my dads handwriting and he nailed it. 10/10 would recommend! :)

Marli did a fantastic job. She got back to me right away via email. She was clean, efficient, measured my ear for proper placement (Ive never had that happen and I have a lot of holes). She emailed me aftercare which, in following I noticed I healed significantly faster than normal. I will be back when I need puncturing.

Great environment, great experience. You can really tell the artists get along, have a good time and truly enjoy what they do. Ive had work done at a few shops around Rochester and I have to say this was probably the best. Dave did an amazing job working with my design and working around my existing artwork. We had great conversation during the session, which adds to the experience. My new tattoo looks great and I will for sure be back. I absolutely recommend this shop to anyone, whether its your first or fiftieth tattoo. Thanks again guys!!

The piercer here is really great; she was super easy to communicated with, prepared me for the piercing, and was just overall very nice. I called on Monday and was able to get an appointment by Wednesday. The only thing one might want to note is that the staff here dont wear masks. I know that there is currently no mask mandate in Rochester, and many people are vaccinated, just as a student at U of R I keep my mask on when I am anywhere in the city. I just thought I would share that to caution people who may be uncomfortable with that.Overall, this was a good experience and I would recommend getting a piercing here

I was just in today for my tattoo appointment and everyone there was super nice and interactive with me and everyone else who was there, it felt super relaxing and welcoming which was such a good feeling! my tattoo was done by Spenny and i was so impressed by his work and by how friendly and how much he communicated with me about the whole process. it was one of the best first tattoo experiences i could have ever wanted and i’m thankful to all the people there and to Spenny for making it super fun and relaxing! will definitely be going back in the future for my next tattoos!

I had my septum pierced by Marli a week ago, and I had a great experience with the shop. She did a great job of walking me through the piercing process and aftercare. So far the piercing is healing up great, and I would definitely recommend this shop. The shop dog was a total sweetheart and helped calm my jitters for sure. 10/10!

Went to Mellow and had Spenny do my second ever tattoo. Amazing guy with incredible work! He made sure to talk to me and make me feel comfortable while being tattooed, he explained everything he was doing, and he made sure I liked the design and the size. We were traveling from out of town to Rochester and worked with Range via email to get a tattoo. A bad storm came in the day before our appointment, and he came in early to reschedule our tattoo! It was a great experience!

We made an appointment to get my daughter a tattoo with Andy May. He was above and beyond polite, knowledgeable, and explained everything thoroughly before he started. His work is beautiful and he is a true artist! We will be seeing him again soon!

Very talented artists, and a great shop atmosphere. Andy May is the artist I go to for my tattoos, and he does an amazing job. He also pierced my daughters ears. My girls were 5 and 7 at the time, and very nervous. Andy did a fantastic job of making them feel comfortable.

I got my septum done the other day, and the experience was great. The vibes in the place were good, the decoration were cool, and the service was amazing. My peircing was down quickly and nearly painlessly, and its been healing great so far. They were also super helpful in walking my through it, and even sent my information an aftercare and how to make my own cleaning solution.

Range is awesome. My friend and sister from Minneapolis was in town and we were able to get a sister tattoo done by him. He makes you feel very comfortable and is very professional. I went to get my ears pierced. I have never been there but live nearby. I called the day before and the receptionist was very friendly and helped me with all of my questions, and we got an appointment scheduled. When I arrived, the experienced piercer explained to me what the process was and let me choose from a variety of sizes and values of earring. The process was very smooth and not painful. She assured me that out of 10, the pain will be 0.5. I am very happy with my experience, and recommend a tattoo parlor over a mall any day.

Absolutely an amazing place, the vibe was just right. It was my first time getting a tattoo and I was pretty nervous, but they made the process easy. I used to get my tattoos done at Physical however after visiting Mellow Madness, Ill never go anywhere else. The shop itself was immaculate, you can really tell that the employees care about cleanliness.I got to work with Spenny Turbo and I cannot say enough good things about him. Extremely professional, I provided him my artwork and he turned it around same day. Fantastic artist, tattoo came out looking exactly what I envisioned. Hes also incredibly knowledgable on tattoo care. Ive never worked with an artist before that really cared as much as he did.I will definitely be returning to Mellow Madness in the future and would love to work with Spenny again.Cannot recommend this shop and artist enough!

The first time I crossed this shop, I had a fever dream to fix a chili pepper on my wrist that was so botched from a scratcher I didnt think it was salvageable... woody sat me down and within 10 minutes of meeting me changed my life. He has fixed several botched works on me and done large fully custom pieces that blow my family and friends away. If you want a unique, clean tattoo and a quick, comfortable experience, ask for woody. He will hook you up.

Everyone was friendly, courteous, and willing to go above and beyond to give you exactly what you want. They worked around our schedule, even so much as to squeeze a last minute appointment in with very little info. The design was perfect, pricing extremely fair, and I cant recommend Darbi Marbles enough. Definitely will continue to return to this shop.

I went in to have a tattoo made, yes my very first tattoo at that, I had a design in mind and a basic design at that. Dave took and dressed it up and a week later I have a great looking tattoo. The people that work there are super great and I am very happy with the design and how much time and effort was put into taking a very basic design and making it into a work of art

I just went there the other day to get my septum pierced and I had a great experience! I dont remember the girls name who was my piercer, but anyways she did an amazing job! I was really nervous that it was going to hurt or that it would hit my cartilage but nope, she made it almost painless actually and people say that that piercing hurts the worst! Thanks so much!

I stopped in on a Saturday to see if anyone had time to do a small memorial tattoo for my pug. Andy listened to what I wanted and was so nice about everything. He did a great job on my pug angel! Highly recommend the shop and Andy!

Came here for a walk-in and the girl on the phone was really nice. The actual work I got done was pretty bad. The artist who did my tattoo seemed pretty annoyed at me and it took him an hour to do a piece of line art (about half an inch just black). When I first showed him the picture of what I wanted, he seemed apprehensive about doing it and from there it went downhill. He started and stopped tattooing about 5 times and he overall just seemed upset with me. He also complained about the location and size of my tattoo and blamed me for how shaky it turned out. He seemed quite pissed off when he (of his own volition) got out a table for me to lie on because the set up that he previously had was uncomfortable for both of us. Also he made me feel quite uncomfortable with the fact that 1) He made me feel pressured to take off my shirt for the tattoo, it was done in my collarbone area and the shirt I was wearing moved far enough aside to give some space for the size of the tattoo (and a previous tattoo that I had done on my other collarbone had not required me to take off my shirt) and 2) there was a hole in his pants in the crotch area and myself and my friends saw his package to say it discretely. I dont know if it was just the artist that I had but I really dont recommend this place. It was overall just a bad experience, and the tattoo didnt turn out very well either.

Just took my 8 year old to get her ears pierced and had a great experience. Totally chill atmosphere. Andy was very kind; took his time explaining exactly what he was going to do, and how things should feel; totally put my daughter at ease.

Went in for a tattoo app on the 6th of January, 2021. Woody, who was supposed to be finishing my left sleeve didnt show up and didnt call me back either; a normal person wouldve at least called me back in a instance like this. Tried calling back three times with no success to get ahold of the artist. Shouldnt of had to do that, but I truly believe in working with people from all walks of life, no matter who they are.Been getting tattooed for nearly 10 years now, so I know life problems happen sometimes, even with COVID-19 going on. Im also (normally speaking) a really good client, pay well, and have always maintained a strong relationship with my artists in every shop in every state Ive been in. That being said this is the first I ever had this happen to me out of the blue. Bottom line, I extremely disappointed and cannot let this off the hook (hence, the review).I genuinely wish both the staff and Woody at Mellow Madness well (believe it or not) and wish them continued success, but after this BS, I gotta move on. Got my nose pierced by Marli. She pierced the left nostril a year ago and came back for the right side because she did such a great job. I highly recommend her!

Cons frist: Some staff seem like they have attitudes or don’t want to be there. It’s cash only. I don’t see any parking specific to the shop. There are 2 steps into the shop and no visible accessibility for people using mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, etc.Pros: they have an atm in the shop. There is street parking that’s usually available. They are EXTREMELY informative and take their time. I got pierced by Marli and my piercing came out crooked. She fixed it immediately and made sure it was to my standard. She did not blame me (like other places would) or make me feel bad for saying something about the placement. She took her time to make sure she could make it right and the piercing came out PERFECT!

Absolutely an amazing experience! Chuck was my artist but all the artists were attentive to their clients and made sure they were happy with the whole process. I would definitely recommend again!

Came in and asked for a tattoo. was told to wait so the guy could go smoke a cigarette. Waited for about 20 minutes, nothing. It sounds unbelievable but they had a dog walking around the studio. That is completely unsanitary. If I have a fresh wound (tattoo) I don’t need a dog trying to come slobber on it or have it’s dirty fur on me. This place is a disaster. No privacy in there as well.

Marli pierced my septum and did an awesome job on both calming my nerves and on the piercing itself I had no pain whatsoever!! Highly recommend I won’t be going anywhere else!

I went to Mellow Madness last year after being sent there by a friend. I had high hopes for my tattooer, but unfortunately I was left very disappointed. We discussed the piece I wanted and he agreed that it was something he was interested in doing. He didnt have any openings close, so we scheduled a month out. I gave him my references of things I liked and images to go off of and we set the date; he told me he would let me know the time.A week before my appt I contacted my tattooer to ask how the design was going and if I could come in to see it. I wanted to make sure both I liked it and that hed have time to make corrections if there needed to be any. He told me that he didnt have anything yet and that he was thinking of freehanding it. I asked him if he has any ideas to try to see what he was thinking, he just told me hed have to just draw it on to show me..The next week, I contacted him the day of my appointment to find out what time he wanted me to come in. He never responded back to me with a time, and never follwed up afterwards.I didnt reach back out after that and I wont be going back to the shop. I dont know how the other tattooers rate but this experience was bad enough to turn me off from the shop as a whole.

I got an industrial barbell piercing and my anatomy was a bit problematic, but my piercer expertly informed me about the piercing and helped me take the best route. Everyone was really nice!
