My fiancé & I came here to get matching tattoo’s. Seals was so pleasant over the phone. He kept the store open until we arrived. We drove 3 hours because we heard how good they were. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed. They have amazing customer service and are so friendly. They did amazing work and we walked away so pleased & wanting more!

I had an amazing experience. we called last minute and he had no problem squeezing us in.The customer service was excellent, he was very patient and very thorough. he took his time and made sure I was happy with placing and results. I’m very satisfied with the finished work and the service and will definitely be returning for more work.

I wonder what exactly it was that you did to get these reviews here . I just lost my baby january 4, 2024 . We went in about a portrait tattoo identical for my husband and I. First, he overcharges for under average tattooing skills 1400 for both remember these are supposedto be life like portraits. If you taught yourself you can definitely tell. He did mine and at the time I couldnt tell just how bad it would turn out. Mine scarred up pretty good did a number on the skin ended up getting an infection. Most of the ink falls out . Then he was constantly in and out the bathroom. Comes to do my husbands tattoo of our deceased daughter . This man was sweating every where and looked like he was falling asleep . He basically made her look like sloth from the goodies. He didnt finish the tattoo and claimed to redo it . After all was said and done we decided we didnt want to give him the opportunity to mess up again. We aske for out money back and what a surprise he says no and cussed out my husband. Now if your thinking about going here. Especially for a portrait you would just be throwing your money away . We had to go to another shop to fix these tattoos and get them done correctly. We paid out of pocket to fix his mistakes that we paid him 1400 dollars for. He is a scam artist none of the really nice work he shows is his work . He must get these pictures online or takes from other artists . Beware of this man he is a shifty con artist. Thats why he took payment upfront. He was strong on that. Probably because he knew what he would do to us already. Im posting our story here because no one deserves to be ripped off like that. Especially not someone mourning the loss of a full grown new born baby. This man is despicable and is morally depleted. Now Ive noticed he gets on here to defend every bad review and trys to flip the script. I ask you guys what do we have to gain from telling this story? Were already screwed out of 1400 bucks . DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! go to another REPUTABLE PLACE! I wanted to cover up a large scar from a surgery. After doing some research, I really like Seals art and experience level. The shop was clean and comfy- which was important since this tattoo took 9 hours over 2 sessions. He sanitized everything and was careful to be sanitary throughout. My overall experience with Seal was great! I am planning my next tattoo!

Negative 1 Star me and my wife went in for portrait tattoos and he completely messed it up we lost our daughter and even knowing that he still gave us garbage tattoos that was supposed to be. Memorial piece he said he can do it many shops around said he doesnt have his own portfolio and all the art isnt his he rips off other artists do not go there for anything hes a creep other arthts from multiple other shops say hes the worst in the city and is doing illigal things in there with woman ,My wife never lied or swayed the truth the ownerOf house of pain is a drug abusing scum bagHe messed up our tattoos and when he said we should of posted a picture we did to his cell phone I would love for him to say iam lieingWe have solid proof and a response on our phone that will prove he messed up & refused to give a refund we have pictures of the infection we will post this owner needs to be shutdown hes a cheat and 💯 I believe in karma and I have proof so does my life and it will show hes a conman and a lier ..Tattoo cost 1,417For 2 tattoo and they werent finished of close to being right

I absolutely love that tattoo that Seal did for me ! He’s super super clean and he made me feel comfortable through out the whole process. I have tons of tattoos and I have to say Seal is by far the best tattoo artist I have been too ! My tattoo is on the side of my face so you can’t obviously wrap it, but he went above and beyond making sure it was covered to prevent it from getting infected or being able to be in contact with bacteria within the first 7 days. Explained to me how the bandage works an I appreciate that so much !! I will definitely be a reoccurring customer !!!!! Also his prices are the best I’ve seen in town for the phenomenal work that he does !

Highly recommend. I walked in at the end of the night, the guy working, I do not remember his name, but he was very friendly and had no issue doing my piercing at the last minute. He explained everything before doing it. All the tools were new and sterilized. I could tell he was very experienced, he was quick and had no issues at all. I did an orbital piercing and Im very pleased with the service.

My husband and I went here for our first anniversary to get tattoos. It was an awesome experience. Bear tattooed both of us. His work is incredible! He went above and beyond to make sure that both of our pieces were beautiful. His personality made us feel more than comfortable. We have definitely found a permanent tattoo artist. I love my new tattoo. David did an excellent job. He was very friendly and welcoming. I showed him what I wanted and he drew it up and put his spin on it. He’s also very clean, he stops and sanitizes his whole work station between clients. I’ll definitely be back for more tattoos.

Came with someone and I’m absolutely disgusted by what was done. You should not end up on antibiotics the next couple days of getting a tattoo. Cellulitis and staff infections are not cool. Ink should NOT be cut with water. The amounts of digging resulting in layers of skin being destroyed. Please do your research on after care of a tattoo, get more opinions from actual professionals. A real artist cares about their art and the end result. Please don’t come here!! 0 stars!

Let me just say, this is by far one of the best tattoo shops that I’ve been too. My husband and I were able to walk in with our infant daughter, which we got a custome tattoo for. We were treated fantastically— including our daughter. Seals, who is the owner, has given my husband and I one of THE BEST tattoos we ever could’ve asked for. We will definitely be coming back and getting more from him. And I would most definitely recommend him to anyone in the Rockford/IL/WI state line area.

He was definitely a super nice guy. He talked to me as if I was an adult and treated me like an adult, which made me very happy. He calmed me down before I got my septum done and talked me through it. He gave me a few minutes to calm down when I got worked up. But in the end he works quickly and efficiently. Went to get my nose pierced and to check out the place, because I am considering taking my daughter in to have her ears pierced. I came all the way from whitewater WI because in WI no one will pierce under the age of 16.even the ears. My daughter is 5. So I decided to go check it out and get a piercing myself. He did a great job. In a few weeks I will be bringing my daughter in to have her ears done. Seals is great!

Took my little sister to get her ears pierced and I believe the owner Seals pierced her ears. He was helpful and did a great job making sure we had a good experience. He called me back and waited for us to come in so he would be ready for us.

Drove from Madison to get a dermal on my face re-pierced. Seals is great at what he does. He explained everything extremely well and I felt 100% comfortable and left with a big smile on my face as well as a beautiful piercing. Im not sure if its because I got an inexperienced guy but my tattoo didnt turn out the way I wanted. I should know better than to go anywhere but my regular shop but they had a groupon offer so I thought it would be okay. The guys are really nice and the shop is super clean but my tat looks like a black blob on my arm which is exactly what I didnt want to happen. The letters are terribly done and the ink (forearm) looks like its years old already. The owner tried to fix the issue but was a total jerk to me over the phone. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

I came to Seals by way of a personal reference, I had a vague idea of what I wanted. I explained my ideas to him and his team... within a half an hour, Beth had free handed the exact portrait of what I tried to explain... Seals then replicated that drawing perfectly and even added some things to make it better... I couldnt be more happy with the results and have had more complintents on this tattoo than any of the others I have... the entire staff was attentive, friendly and accommodating. Best experience at a tattoo shop Ive ever had!!!

Seals kicks ass. Took an appointment for my friend and I 2 hours in advance, sent him a picture with a couple thoughts, showed up to a completed rendering that was spot on and was thoroughly impressed. Excellent customer service, experience, personality and a limo to boot. Thanks man!
