My best friend and I went to cream city to get a friend tattoo. We had a great experience!! Derek helped us out with our design, then did an excellent job on our tattoos. I was worried about the fine lines in our tattoos going to any artist, but I couldn’t have asked for finer lines from him. I would highly recommend visiting Derek and cream city for a tattoo!

My sister and I walked in hoping to get matching tattoos. We did not have an appointment but everyone there was very helpful and got us a tattoo artist in about 45 minutes. Our tattoo artist Justin, was amazing. We gave him a photo of what we were thinking, and he drew up a tattoo that was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend cream city tattoo!

This place in my opinion is one of the best places to get a tattoo in the St. Cloud area! The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and I never once felt nervous even though it was my first tattoo. Derek was my tattoo artist, and he did a AMAZING job! He listened to what I wanted and came up with a beautiful design within 15 minutes. The amount of detail in this shop is crazy! Ryan really cares about making the shop professional and just an all-around cool place to be in. Even if you dont plan on getting a tattoo, Id recommend stopping in there just to check it out.

My mother and I are from Wichita, KS; and visit Minnesota mostly on sad occasions. This time, we decided to commemorate it with a tattoo. Our artist Derek was absolutely wonderful! He was very professional and you could tell he loves his job. We looked for a shop for several hours, and we are so very happy we chose Cream City. We got loons (not ducks) and they look identical. The tattoo itself looks so good and it healed beautifully.

Derek G Is absolutely amazing! His work is precise, clean, and he has a very delicate touch. He was very honoring of my memorial piece and made this experience a beautiful moment.

Me and my husband went here to get our wedding tattoos. We worked with Naomi and she was wonderful! This is during a time of Covid so our original appointment was unfortunately cancelled because Naomi was exposed but she rescheduled so quick and worked with us!The place is nice, and each artist has their own office/work space so youre not laying on a chair out in the open like other places Ive been. Very happy all in all :)

I just had my 1st session of a full sleeve with Chris and I am so excited for my next appointment! It was not hard at all to make an appointment with Jacob Weber. I followed the directions posted on the website and he got back to me quickly. I also should mention that I was able to ask any questions I needed to leading up to the appointment, and he answered them all so I didnt have to worry. During the tattoo process he made sure to expllain to me what was going on every step of the way. His line work is clean, it didnt hurt anymore than it needed to, and hes very kind. If you want a laid back, clean, and professional experience you should definitely go to Cream City Tattoo! 10/10 would recommend to anybody and everybody.

Nico was my artist. Let me tell you all, he is absolutely 100% THE BEST artist Ive ever gone too. I am moderately tattooed, so Ive had enough other experiences to know he is a fantastic person to work with. Not only was his art impressive, he provided a comfortable and gentle approach to how he applied the actual tattoo itself. He accommodated the needs and wants I had and was completely professional the entire time. I will not go to anyone else for my work now, Im a Nico lifer! You should be, too!

Jacob is awesome. One of the few true blue artists I’ve met in my lifetime. The guy exudes talent and passion and humility in everything he does. I’m so pleased with my tattoo— I sat on the idea for a few years (it’s in Greek) and waited to be sure that I could find someone who was comfortable with non-English alphabets. It’s perfect. And everyone at this tattoo place seems incredible too— I’ll definitely be back from my next tattoo.

Also, I love how there’s a gallery in the back where you can just browse the stunning artwork & if you want, purchase. The 1st pic shown is the day I had it done & the 2nd is 3 months healed. I have only great things to say about this place! Ryan (the owner) is one of the most talented and professional artists that I have ever met! The shop is extremely clean and the artists are very upfront and will tell you if your idea for a tattoo will not look great over time, which I definitely appreciated. I drove over 1 1/2 hours just to go to cream city and will definitely be back in the future. There are tons of tattoo shops in the cities (where I am from), but getting tatted by such a great artist is well worth the drive. Highly highly recommend!

Just turned 18 and got my first tattoo here! Jacob was my artist and did a phenomenal job! He was super professional and helped me through the entire process. The piece done on my ribs was a sensitive and very precise spot of which he had extreme patience with and took his time to do a perfect job. I could not be more happy with how it turned out and I will definitely be coming back for more work here!

I decided to go to Cream City Tattoo because I was very impressed with Ryan and Wills work on Facebook. I got a relatively simple tattoo, but it did require straight lines without any shading to cover it up. Will did a great job. I love my new tattoo and it couldnt look any better. He made sure I knew that if I wanted something changed before I got the tattoo it was no problem. He completely understood that a tattoo is going to be there forever and he made sure I was happy about how it looked and how it was placed before he started. The studio was clean, huge, and extremely nice looking. It was the most well done studio I had ever been to. Also, Ian was very welcoming and created great conversation while my friend and I waited for Will to draw up my tattoo. I would highly recommend Cream City Tattoo. I had a great experience for a reasonable price.

My sister and I got “sister tattoos” and are very very happy! Alex did our tattoo and he was great. This was both of our first tattoos and I, especially, was very nervous and almost didn’t even go through with the process. I was freaking out all day!! He was able to make me feel comfortable and I am so happy I went through with it! It looks amazing. Such a fun memory for my sister and I. :) Highly recommend!

Best piercing experience I have ever had! Cream City has a great atmosphere. I got 4 piercings done by Ian on my birthday and he seriously made my birthday awesome! He is very talented and passionate about what he does and he makes you feel right at home when youre there. I will never go anywhere else for a piercing as long as Im living in St. Cloud; especially after the horrible experiences I have had else where in town. I highly recommend going there.

William Van is brilliant. He not only gave me one of the most amazing tattoos that I have ever received, but he is so welcoming to the idea of collaboration with both his ideas and yours. The price was more than fair, the speed of the artist was amazing and I felt zero pain with them. Got my first tattoo and my nose pierced the same day! Taelor did the tattoo and was awesome! Very attentive, double checking placement and color. I am ecstatic to have found Cream City Tattoo. My experience there was a welcoming and healing one. I went there is search of the perfect tattoo for me to honor my 18 year old kitty Rico and beloved best friend who passed away. The crew was friendly, fun, and hip and definitely helped me to enjoy the experience.I also got a tattoo of a drawing my now 10 year old made when he was 8 years old and Ryan worked with me to help me accomplish the look I wanted. Just had Will give me two tattoos on Sunday. Absolutely loved the entire experience! The shop has a wonderful atmosphere as well as lovely employees that really put me at ease (I always get super anxious before any tattoos/piercings which is silly since I enjoy the experience). I went to Wingnut for my first tattoo and will NOT be returning there; the tattoo artist took 3 hours to complete a simple design since she was more focused on chatting with the other artists than she was on finishing my tattoo. Will was MUCH better, I had his undivided attention and instead of talking to the other guy there we had a pretty awesome conversation between ourselves. All in all it was a really radical experience and I will definitely be returning for any future work that I want done.

I had a great experience at Cream City Tattoo! Since it was my first time getting a tattoo the staff members were very informative regarding the process and pain level I would experience during the tattooing process. The tattoo artist I had was Will, a very energetic artist that I would recommend to anyone!! I had wording done for my tattoo and the final product exceeded my expectations. Will had suggested his favorite tattoo to do is imaging, so I can only image how great he would be for those types!

My sister and I went to Cream City to get matching Tattoos in memory of our dad. We had the tattoos completed by Seth! We were not able to have them completed at the same time due to our schedule. Seth did an AMAZING job to make the tattoos identical even though we were not able to be there together. He has a very good eye for details! We wanted the cross on the tattoo to look like the one my dad wore and just by seeing a picture of the cross Seth was able to design it identical. It was awesome! I am so thankful that Seth was able to design such an amazing tattoo in the memory of someone who is very special to us! I went to Cream City Tattoo for my very First Tattoo experience! I was looking all over the internet and stumbled across some of Wills work and instantly fell in love with what I was seeing. After emailing back a few times, I decided I would get some of Wills work on my calf. I set up and appointment and got quick responses to all the questions I had. While I was being tattooed, Will was great at making me feel comfortable and make things go as smoothly as possible. He has an awesome personality and made the whole four hour appointment a very fun process. Wills work is incredible and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get any color work done! Im so overly satisfied with how my calf turned out! Only having the piece for three days, I have received more compliments than I ever thought was possible! Will takes pride in his work and is fully dedicated to making his clients get what they need. I cant wait to go see him again!!!

Let me just start out by saying this was my first tattoo, so as you can imagine I was nervous as H-E- double hockey sticks... HOWEVER, from the moment I walked in the entire staff at Cream City helped me feel comfortable and welcome! Ryan did my tattoo and was so professional, courteous, and non-judgmental of my newness to his industry! It was a wonderful experience overall and I HIGHLY recommend you all to give this place a try! I will be going back in the future if I decide to do any other pieces!

I went to Cream City to get my piercing because I knew that Ryan was a very talented person and had no doubts that anyone working out of that shop would be of the same caliber. I was absolutely right. Ian has now done 5 piercing for me on two different occasions. The atmosphere is amazing to begin with but Ian adds to the experience because he is a perfect combination of comfort and professionalism. I have been a few other places previously and can honestly say I will never go anywhere else... for anything.

Will has done 2 of my tattoos now. The 2nd one was an evil dead girl that took a lot of time. Our first session was 6 hours, but he made it well worth it. I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. Will has a great personality and is very considerate. This was a challenging piece with a lot of detail but he took it without hesitation. Will really puts his all into is work and it definitely shows. He is an amazing artist!

Will was my tattoo artist and I loved him. Great personality and a very great tattoo artist. Went in and got my tattoo and was done within in an hour. My Wife and I Stopped in To Cream City Tattoos yesterday (Saturday) about an hour before they closed. William was there to greet us and explained it was to late to do the small sized matching tattoos we had planned. William could see our disappointment so he offered to come in early just for us on a Sunday. William not only was eager and ready when we got there the next morning but his professionalism and artistic knowledge was incredible. We absolutely LOVE our tattoos and HIGHLY recommend William and Cream City. We are already planning our next tattoos and William will be our artist!!!!!

I had a cover up tattoo on my foot recently done by Seth. He is an amazing artist and did a great job creating a new design. I love that he uses Photoshop to create and edit his designs. Cream City Tattoo is a beautiful studio, they even have an art studio.I got my tattoo done by TAELOR MAYRY. He was professional, had a steady hand and made my experience back in a tattoo studio very calming. I was a bit nervous since my last tattoo was 12 years ago. He had the sketch ready, asked me questions on details that other studios would have never looked at. All in all, it was a great experience, very beautiful studio and if youre looking for your first ink or next one, I recommend TAELOR MAYRY.

I had a great experience getting tattooed at Cream City by Ryan Schepp. Comfort, quality, and a good time are always guaranteed. Never once have I been made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. Ryan has a steady hand and most definitely knows his trade very well. The atmosphere of Cream City Tattoo is very unique and pleasing to the eye. Comfortable lounge area when waiting, many varieties of books to look at... Ive had work done by both Ian and Ryan and Ive loved the outcome of all work Ive had done. I had scarification done by Ian about a month ago, and its turning out beautifully and Im beyond happy with it! Ive also had 12 body piercings done by Ian and Ive never had an issue with any of them and he always makes sure Im comfortable and I know what Im getting myself into before he pierces me. Both Ryan and Ian are incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns people call or come into the shop with. I never hesitate to hand out business cards and flyers when people ask about where I get my work done because I dont believe there is a better place to go to get tattooed or pierced! I would highly recommend stopping in and checking out their portfolios and seeing what they can do for you. :)

Ryan is an awesome artist and the atmosphere is amazing. The studio is top notch and they talk to you like they care. Some of the other places in town have a little bit of an attitude problem. You will not see this problem with Cream City. I have recommended Cream City to friends and I will get all of my work done there.

I went to cream city for my first tat. My end experiance is worthy of 5 stars for corra and supporting staff, however we origanally schedualled with nico who unexpectedly cancled with out notice to me (reason i withheld 1 star). Thank you so much for staying late, working hard and making it right and doing outstanding work in a fantastic studio. In the end im glad things worked out the way they did you just gained a new customer.

Ryan is the most creative and talented artist that I have ever had a chance to meet. I have been a client of his for years now and I will continue to return. I wanted to find a shop close enough to me and came across Cream City. Their reviews were great and was deserved! Will did my tattoo and he was extremely helpful in how to choose the right one. He also talked to me throughout which distracted me from the pain. Long story short, he knows what hes doing and my tattoo turned out amazing!

I have got 3 tattoos from Ryan, 1 a cover up and 2 new ones and he always exceeds my expectations!! The flowers he covered up on my hip you cant even see the old flowers and the new ones are beautiful and what I wanted in the first place. The second tattoo I got was a one I drew myself to give him an idea what I wanted and what he came up with off my drawing was way cooler than what I could have thought up. The 3rd was script on my arm, I wanted it smaller and Ryan explained how it would look best and I trusted him and got the size he said it needed to be and now after looking at it 2 years I am so glad I got this size, he was right it would have looked wrong smaller. Ryan is an amazing artist and knows what works best with placement, size and composition of tattoos. It is a easy to see the pride he takes in his art and his business when you see the Cream City Tattoo Shop, by far the nicest tattoo shop I have ever been in and he takes that same pride in his tattoos. I have talked to many many people about his work and never came across a single disappointed customer, everyone has been like me, beyond happy with their new tattoo and impressed with Ryans tattoos and is knowledge about art in general. The tattoo was much bigger then I thought it would be for being free, he was very easy to talk to and just made it a good time, that tattoo it’s self I’m really satisfied with to. My mom and I spontaneously went in to get matching tattoos while we were in the area. They fit us in without appointments. The shop was clean and they were professional. However im not pleased with the quality of my tattoo. For being a simple tattoo it does not look good. The lines are unfinished and wonky. Minimal effort was put into sketching the piece and shading during the actual tattooing and i feel the artist rushed through my tattoo. Im thinking about getting it fixed or covered elsewhere. I was also charged $100 when it took him maybe 20-30 min at most so pricing was a bit steep for the size and quality of my tattoo.Edit for owner response:Why would i let the same artist that permanently messed up a place on my body come near me again? Id rather not lol. Just because i was a walk in does not mean that attention to detail should have been overlooked, I was still a paying customer and if he didn’t have the time to pay attention to detail he should have turned us away. Just because I didn’t make an appointment gives an artist a right to do a terrible job? These “lower level shops that hold cheaper minimums” that you’re supposedly completing with did a better job on a larger tat I paid $60 for so really no competition there bud. Maybe try lowering your ego when you lower those prices. You should work on your responses, they sound a little like an excuse.

Ive always had an appreciation for Ryans work, even before he opened Cream City. Hes tattooed old friends of mine and Ive wanted him to do my sleeve since the first time I actually decided to sit down and look through one of his many portfolios.Following him to his new shop and supporting him feels exceptionally great. I get a feeling of genuinity and comfort every time Im visiting the shop, whereas the other shops around town have made me feel uncomfortable and treated me like I didnt know what I was talking about. Youre not a customer at Cream City, youre a client thats cared about.If you seek quality tattooing or piercing (which you definitely should), this is the place to go. Great quality artwork that will be on your body forever is worth the investment, trust me.Ive been extremely satisfied with every visit, and I plan to keep coming back!

I walked in with lots of ideas floating around about what tattoo I wanted and no real decision made, Will took those ideas and turned it into something amazing. During the session, we laughed and joked like old friends, I never once felt uncomfortable. I had a couple of piercing projects done by Ian and he did an AMAZING job and they look beautiful! I strongly suggest getting work done by these great guys for either piercing or tattoo they know their stuff!

I really liked coming to Cream City. I booked an appointment with Em B last spring, and she did a phenomenal job.Super classy environment. I enjoyed going through their back room while waiting, where they featured local artists paintings throughout. There were 20+ works of art back there. Absolutely beautiful. The inside is clean and modern.The staff is absolutely incredible and welcoming! I’ve gone to a shop in Maple Grove and one in Brainerd, as well as te Anoka and St Cloud Wingnut shops, and I gotta day that this one would probably have to be my favorite.There’s no more construction going on in that area, so it should be easier to get to. That might make it a little busier, but I assure you that it’s worth it.Em was thorough and detailed in her work, and very easy to talk to. I will definitely be going back in the near future.

I had Shane do a memorial tattoo of my dogs print. It turned out amazing. I have had other tats done elsewhere but nothing has came close to the professionalize I have experienced here. Just got a second tattoo from Ryan. The first time, I left a review for him on the site for the place that he previously worked. Now, he has his own shop, and its awesome. Both times hes done work for me, I gave him what could have been perceived as a vague description, but when he showed me what he came up with, both times I was amazed at how well he understood exactly what I wanted. I am 62 and this is my first tattoo. I went with my daughter, Nikki, and wanted a tattoo like hers. Its a mother- daughter thing and a symbol of our faith. Ive had 3 tattoos from the owner, Ryan, and currently getting a sleeve designed. Hes skilled, professional, surgically clean, and consistently lower in prices than other shops in town. They also display a lot of different types of artwork and is always on the St. Cloud Art Crawls. Its a pretty neat shop.

A wonderful place to get a first tattoo! I was only concerned with the wait time. When I was waiting for consult I understood the long wait time, as I did not have an appointment. But I did have to wait approximately 20 minutes after my actual appointment to get started. Besides the wait time, I was made to feel comfortable and it was affordable. I will always recommend Cream City!

Not impressed. First time here, greeted by young guy that was really short and not too friendly. Explained we wanted pricing on 3 tattoos. He said he wasnt interested in doing them, maybe pass us off to someone else. That someone else came up didnt seem interested in taking on our tattoos and said hes booked up, doesnt have time. Wondered if there were books or ideas they have we could look at? None...supposibly back in an office but his words was hes too busy to get them! Why wouldnt you have them out for people to look at? Obviously not looking to take on new work or clients, we felt completely blown off. Surprised they are in business with their attitude and lack of customer service. We went elsewhere and booked over $700 in tattoo work...

I decided to get my first ever tattoo here at Cream City with Taelor and man, best decision ever!!! I wanted something special for my 25th birthday, so I consulted with him and decided on a purple and black dragon. I let him have pretty much full artistic freedom and I was not disappointed. He was great to talk to for the whole 5 hour session and we even like the same music! He made sure I was comfortable and took breaks as we needed. I had contacted one of the artists at Cream City about a tattoo I wanted. I never heard anything back. I called Cream City to make sure the artist was still there and are Excepting bookings. The person whom I spoke with said the artist would email me back. It’s been one week since I messaged the artist and still no response. Very poor customer service.

I had a nice chat with one of the guys. They were very receptive and informative, letting me and a friend know what to expect from the tattoos and piercings we wanted. I saw their tatroowork on a couple of acquaintances and admired it. I will be setting an appointment for some piercings and my friend for both.

Walked in looking for a quote for a tattoo I wanted and walked out with the tattoo I wanted! Will was great, and the shop is beautiful and SPOTLESS! 2nd worst tattoo I’ve received was from this shop. First, I was not told about the $100 minimum, then it took the guy like 45 seconds to do this tatt behind my ear and I was like wait, what? you’re done already?!!!! A few days later when it was healed and I was able to get a good look I said to myself ahhhhh, now I know why it took less than a minute. I went here because of all the rave reviews, imagine my disappointment.

Wanted a purple heart 💜 tattooed on my hand about the size of a quarter in memory of the baby I had lost. Guy said he normally charges 100 minimum but because I have no visible tattoos (I have 13 tats) hed have to charge me an extra 25 because its on my hand. What?! Youre charging me extra because of the placement? Youre joking right.

I got tattooed by Ryan and it was my first tattoo. He was absolutely amazing, super patient while I tried to figure out design and sizing, he redrew it quite a few times for me. Him and the others are just super sweet professionals, I am definitely getting more tattoos from them.

Went into the shop to talk to somebody about getting a tattoo and was informed that I had to go home and go to the website, pick and artist an e-mail them directly. Went home and e-mailed Scarlette, who shows as an available tattoo artist, waited 2 days for a response. Her response was Im retiring August 1st, please go to the website and pick an artist and e-mail them directly. Dont waste your time. Pick a shop that wants your business.

Kao was completely unwilling to work with me at ALL on a design I wanted, even though I made it clear that I was ok with her making changes and doing it in her style. She simply stopped communicating with me completely. Just blew me off. Very unprofessional. Will not be getting a tattoo from an establishment with such uppity artists. I have never been treated so poorly by any tattoo artist before or since.

Such a comforting, relaxing environment unlike some shops where they have bright fluorescent lighting and it just seems chaotic. All the employees are super nice and friendly, even the other customers that you run into there are friendly.
