Ive wanted an Iron Maiden tattoo for a while. I just moved to San Antonio 2 months ago and was looking for a shop that could do it right. Platinum tattoo hit a grand slam with me. Outstanding staff. Osmany is a true artist and nailed it. Noah,The owner made me feel comfortable, so comfortable that I actually fell asleep during my work. Thank you guys,I couldnt be more happy

This place was great! Came to exchange body jewelry and from walking in to leaving it was an awesome experience. The vibe, customer service and quality of establishment is superb. Harvey was terrific in helping us out and having effective communication while we waited. Coming back because they did not have my size of piercing in stock but what a lovely place. Love it here. If I could give more stars I would.

If you’re looking for great customer service and professional piercings, then you found them..these guys were so friendly, helpful, and down to earth. My daughter’s septum piercing was so fast and flawless. Thanks to Mingo!! Oh but Harvey was definitely our favorite..he made us feel so comfy and welcomed..we will be returning for sure!! Booked an appointment for a spider bite to match a set i already had it was late in the evening and i came in a little nervous but the atmosphere in the studio was so fun and comfortable, I was immediately greeted and lined up to talk to the piercer (Noah) who came to find me after he had finished up his business. As soon as he saw i was matching another set he very humorously let me know he would want more time for my appointment since he had other appointments to do we agreed for about a hour later. I found this very professional and he was ready and texted me to come when i was ready with in 30 minutes the experience was amazing compared to my other Piercing appointments. I would recommend Platinum to anyone wanting to have a personable experience getting a piercing. Wonderful staff, awesome place.

Bryan was very welcoming and did a great job helping me choose which piercing was best for me. He was patient and explained everything thoroughly. Mingo was the one who pierced my ear and did a great job. It was very quick and easy. I’m so happy with my experience and the piercing!!

Liegner was my artist and he hit a home run- the design was perfect and the execution was even better. Im very, very happy with my new ink that covered up an older, smaller tatto I got many years ago. Worth every penny!!!

Dude this place is amazing.To start this journey my car broke down on the side of the highway and as a joke me and my girls got tattoos of the car broken down.After the tattoos (which came out amazing, Lee did a great job.) Noah began to ask about the car and what the meaning is behind the tattoo. When I told him that it’s cause my car broke down a couple hours ago and we’d have to tow it back 100 miles west which would be about $600.Gave great advice and saved me a good amount of money, definitely coming back.These are great people here

By far, this has been the best piercing experience I have ever had. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The front staff, Harvey was amazing and helped me choose and understand the jewelry I wanted to purchase.At the last minute, I decided to get the other side of my nose pierced, and they accommodated my request quickly and gracefully. My piercer, Nancy, was absolutely fantastic! She took the time to ensure my nose piercings were symmetrical, narrated the whole process, and was very thorough in making sure everything was perfect. Noah also came in to ensure the piercing was perfectly placed. He was so nice and took his time to ensure the placement was correct, was very knowledgeable, super professional.I walked out with the most beautiful jewelry for both sides of my nose (one loop and one post) and a new Monroe jewelry where I sized down. I felt like they met all my needs, and I felt beautiful leaving the studio.I will definitely be a return customer for additional piercings and when I get my tattoo. Despite Platinum Tattoos & Piercings 4.7 average rating, my experience was very disappointing. Initially uneasy due to a few low reviews, I decided to give the shop a chance and reached out via text from their website. They responded fairly quickly within a few days.Unfortunately, the shop has the worst appointment tracking system. Despite paying the full, non-refundable consultation fee, they failed to track my preferred date and time for the tattoo. When I arrived, the front desk staff was unaware of my appointment. Though I was greeted, the tone was authoritarian rather than welcoming.They maintain a professional appearance by asking customers to wash their hands and fill out a common tattoo entry form, but the lack of respect and appreciation for customers time is evident. After a mix-up with my appointment, I was asked to sit and wait. I ended up waiting for 33 minutes without any updates.During my wait, several employees lounged on a couch, laughing and playing on a tablet, giving the impression of doing nothing while I waited for a pre-scheduled appointment. When I approached the front desk again, it was unattended until the same representative returned, acting as if he had just remembered me. He mentioned needing to talk to an artist, which was baffling given my already lengthy wait.I told the guy that I had seen some of their low reviews but still wanted to give them a chance. However, I was going to go to a different shop after this experience.Having had tattoos done in Santa Rosa, California, and Austin, Texas, this shop shows the lowest respect for customers time. I do not recommend Platinum Tattoos & Piercings for your next tattoo or piercing.

Just took my daughter for her birthday to get two piercings. Excellent customer service! Harvey explained everything well about sizes and answered all our questions. Mingo did the piercing and also answered every question, will definitely be coming back for more piercings for her! And maybe myself. Great pricing as well!

Havey was so helpful. I had a lot of questions about getting my nostril pierced. He helped me figure out what jewelry to get and was super helpful during the whole process. I was very nervous. Mingo did my piercing. He was so gentle and talked me through the whole process. Harvey even held my hand. I will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much for a great experience.

I got a tattoo by Chris Munoz about two years ago. I had been tossing around the idea of a large sternum tattoo and I was super nervous. If I recall correctly, in all the tattoo took 4 hours once the stencil was done. I had a great experience, and Chris was super gentle. My tattoo healed wonderfully and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it when I’m in a swimsuit. Thanks Chris!

I wish I could rate this place No stars at all. My experience here was awful. The men who work here are super rude and not helpful at all. They took forever to get my ear re-pierced. I overheard a group of these workers talking about women in such a disrespectful manner as well! Made me super uncomfortable to be at this location. Won’t ever come here again. If you are a Woman I definitely recommend going to the location in North Star Mall! Best service over there and the piercers are women who are nice, cool, and make it a comfortable environment. 😊

Not a good experience. I was surprised because I had a good experience at the North Star location. Myself and three of my friends came by to see what specials they had going on for Friday the 13th and not only were the flash tattoos they were offering mediocre and extremely overpriced but they refused to answer questions about custom tattoos until we signed the paperwork.🥴 My friends and I decided to go elsewhere.

This place place is a rip off DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I went to buy my fiancé a lip piercing. I was told by Crystal (the piercer) it was a diamond in 14k gold. So I bought it only to find out it’s gold plated with a CZ. When I went back I had a member of the staff diamond test it and I was proven right, NOT A DIAMOND. So I asked for a refund and the manager (Harvey) only the owner can do refunds. So I contacted the owner (Noah) and he proceeded to gas light me about the situation, threatening and insulting me all the while saying “take me to court”. SMH I’m still dealing with the issue but I would like to save anyone else the headache of dealing with the Napoleon complex little boy of an owner. Noah gives owners a bad name, zero professionalism or understanding after selling ME A MISREPRESENTATION OF THE PRODUCT THEY CARRY. BE cautious DO NOT GET SCAMMED!

The front desk guy was rude and slow but still complained under his breath that customers were taking forever to choose jewelry. The piercers, on the other hand, are what earned this place the 4 stars! I was pierced by Mingo, he was very friendly and quick. My sister was pierced by Crystal, she offered a lot of helpful information. Will definitely go back for another piercing!

I got a piercing at Platinum Tattoos and Body Piercings and had a fantastic experience! The shop was incredibly clean, and the staff were professional and knowledgeable. My piercer did an excellent job, and Im thrilled with the result. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-notch piercing experience! The store manager Harvey was absolutely amazing and makes the experience even better!

Went today for my vertical tongue piercing & at the reception, Bryan was very helpful & welcoming. This is my 3rd piercing done by Mingo & as usual, he did an amazing job. Definitely will be going back!

This was my first time going to this shop to get a Monroe piercing. I absolutely recommend this place. Clementine pierced my lip and she was very careful and she opens up a new clamp and needle for every individual who gets a piercing. She informed me on how to properly clean my lip inside and out along with what foods and drinks I should avoid within the first couple of days. I was given the Xl needle since I talk very often at work, which leads to swelling and this will prevent my lip from getting pinched between the gemstone. I will be able to go back in 3 weeks to shorten the needle. As soon as I walked in I was asked what I wanted and was told to wash my hands before getting my piercing. The lady that was showing me the jewelry was very patient and explained everything to me, such as the different lengths and asked what size I wanted the Gemstone to be. It was a little pricey, Overall worth it!!! I am very happy with the outcome. I have not had any problems with it. Everything was very organized and in place.

My piercing artist Noah was great. Very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend him to anyone. The staff was kind and courteous too. I had a tattoo from another shop and need second skin for the healing process. One of the tattoo artist went got some and helped me apply it.

Highly recommend. Super cool patient, will tell you truth about piercings, if their right for you or not, wont just pierce just to do it. I had Double Forward Helix w/Cubic Zirconias. Very clean place and spacious after you sign in and go sit in the waiting area. Once inside, they make sure you have a mask, ask what youre looking for, and fill out some paperwork. They also have you wash your hands as well to make sure everything and everyone stays relatively safe, which I very much appreciate.The wait time took forever to do one piercing, since for piercings theyre walk ins and dont take appointments, and they can get pretty busy in the afternoon on the weekends. But overall it was a nice and clean experience.Regardless, rather wait hours here than have a horrible experience and injury(AGAIN) at Claires since they have little to no knowledge on doing and carrying for piercings.

Took my baby girl to get a piercing and from start to finish they were courteous and thorough in their explanation of the process! I had a great experience here! My friends and I were walk-ins and they got us in swiftly considering there was 3 of us and the artwork was great! I had Remy and he was super sweet and personable! He did a fantastic job! 10/10 easily!

Cornbread was so professional & kind during the whole process. He listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. He made the whole process easy we just chatted the whole time. I will 1000% be back for more awesome art work. No matter the wait on his schedule he is worth the wait. My husband is already thinking of his design.

Got my conch pierced here and its was a fast, smooth experience! Pain was 4/10, healing has been quick and I love their jewelry selection was great.

Platinum Tattoos & Piercings is the only place Id go to for piercings or tattoos. I went here to get my septum and left nostril piercing over the past years and the service has always been amazing. The people are lovely and the place is always hygienic and professional. Harvey is really really funny and makes and atmosphere really comfortable for everyone. Mingo made sure that the piercing was in the perfect spot for me and that I was comfortable with how it looked. Tatum was also really really sweet and I loved the entire experience.

Thank you, Nicole. She fixed my piercing that I had just got the other day from somewhere called the maze. They did it so wrong and put the wrong length of piercing so it was super tight to my nose and she re-pierced it and fixed it. Also she pierced the left side of my nose, and she measured it and thank you so much. I love it.

Took my partner to get their ears pierced for their birthday. I was a little worried at first because the person at the front desk was not particularly welcoming and it had me concerned based on some of the negative reviews I’ve read of this place, but the woman who pierced my partner’s ears, Clementine, was amazing. She was so friendly and professional. I fully expected to just be sat off to the side and not involved in the process at all but she made sure I was part of the experience and made my partner very comfortable given it was their first piercing. She was very thorough with explaining the after care and maintenance and she answered all our questions clearly.I will update this review if anything weird happens with the piercings but honestly as long as they follow the process she said, I don’t see why there would be any issues from here on out.

Not a lot of options for Friday the 13th even tho when I called they did say they were running a special. The shop seemed clean and parking was good but I left disappointed after my friend and I went I acknowledged for about 15 min, not even a “we’ll be right with you”. Maybe next time

We went Thursday to get our 8 month old ear lobes pierced. All the staff was friendly and informative. This is also the place where I took my now 3 year old daughter to get her ear lobes pierced. Definitely recommend this amazing shop.

So i’d like to start by saying i’ve been looking for new studio to call home and it’s safe to say i have indeed found that from the moment i stepped in the door to being one of the last people for the night to leave i felt so comfortable and the atmosphere gave me all the good vibes, the wait wasn’t long, it’s nice and clean it’s inviting & they were knocking out clients left and right and i love that so much!!! My friend and I came in for piercings this past Monday night. As soon as we came in, we were helped through the process! Clem was really nice and offered great recommendations on jewelry that would look good with what we both wanted. Noah did our piercings themselves and he was amazing. He took care of us and spoke through the process of what was being done to help talk me through it. I drove all the way from Corpus Christi just for this shop and to get a piercing by Mingo. It was my first time coming here. I based my decision solely off of reviews and their website. Upon arrival, Harvey welcomed me in and was the host with the most! You can’t ask for a more friendly, professional and clean shop.

I needed some help getting my nipple piercings stretched out after they had shrunk and crystal was very professional, she walked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure! Harvey was also very welcoming and helpful!

Highly recommend Clementine for infant piercings! She made my husband, baby and I feel so comfortable from the first introduction and all throughout the entire experience. We didn’t once feel rushed, she takes her time, is very thorough and she was very patient with our 5MO.Everything is very clean and sanitary here as well!

Very nice shop. Noah and Harvey were great. Very friendly and professional. My only complaint was the 1630 appointment time and sitting around for an hour to be seen. Especially when they self proclaimed to not be busy. With a little patience though, well worth the visit.

Went in to get a gold nose ring (hoop). I was unsure of the size, so I relied on their guidance. Everything seemed fine until it was time to change it out. I was unable to switch out my old hoop for the new one, so they offered to do it for me. However, the hoop they recommended would not go in, so they use a needle to guide it in. Which hurt more than the original piercing. Days later my nose is extremely sore, bleeding and releasing puss. I ordered a smaller hoop in diameter and it instantly went in without struggling. I am mainly giving this establishment a 1 star because they should have realized they gave me the wrong size when they struggled to change my hoop. I paid for the hoop and still had to pay to get the correct hoop.

Jesus did my tattoo. I came in and he recreated exactly what I wanted after showing a few inspo pics. I didnt catch the receptionists name at the front but he was awesome too and I appreciated how patient they were with me while I was trying to decide on the final design. 100% recommend Platinum to anyone thinking about going.

My second time here last night and Im never disappointed. The vibe is chill and the work is top notch. Cornbread has done 4 tattoos on me now and I love every single one. Had the pleasure of getting stretched on my first gages by Clem and she was amazing. Ill definitely be back, mainly for both of them ❤️

First time hereWas very disappointed with the experience while I was there.I had an appointment set with a price.Arrived on time and then waited in the lobby for a whole hr before they called my name.Not only did I wait long, they were trying to charge me more than what I was quoted, then they tell me that person I spoke to was not there!This didn’t happen to just me, another party was done the same prior to me.Customer service needs teaching here most definitely.

I’m so happy we stumbled across this gem during our bestie weekend. The staff was phenomenal. Harvey and Clementine absolutely stole our hearts. Harvey made sure we were taken care of, even got us a bench when all the seats were taken, and a capri sun before our piercing. Clementine celebrated my coming for the Bad Omens concert and played my favorite song from them while piercing. It was truly a top notch experience and I will most certainly be traveling here to visit them again.We went in to get our septums pierced. It was my first time, my friends second. Clementine was very thorough in explaining both the piercing and aftercare process.Super professional, top tier customer service, and very knowledgeable .

The team at Platinum is awesome! Crazy busy on a Saturday, as it took about 9 hours from walking in to leaving for the design below, but well worth it! They took my vision and drew it until I was satisfied. Per their recommendation, I opted for color and Im glad I did!I will be back, but perhaps not on the weekend ;)

Really disappointed because I came here to get my nose pierced before and the guy doing it was incredibly nice, coming back though- the dynamic of the place is stiff. The entire staff is quiet and kinda passive aggressive, not at all welcoming and uninformative (the front desk lady was kind and a couple of the guys up front but still). The guy who pierced me didn’t say a word, I came in for a navel piercing and I asked how the pain was just to make conversation and get reassurance and he sassily went, “It’s up to you.” I asked how the cleaning process was after and he just stared at me, didn’t explain anything to me at all. I wish I could take my tip back, seriously. I paid prior and didn’t want to deal with the hassle. The piercer was named Mingo, he definitely needs to fix how he welcomes in people as they get pierced because it’s an anxious experience. My guy friend also got a piercing and Mingo seemed way more talkative to him and explained how to clean his nose piercing so it just kinda felt like he wasn’t fond of girls. He also smelt super awful which wasn’t pleasant while getting pierced. Disappointing.

Clementine was absolutely AMAZING. She was super patient and understanding of my nervousness. She was very informative and answered all questions and concerns that I had with getting my piercings. I can’t wait to book with her for future piercings!

Ended up here after having a couple failed piercing appointments elsewhere and I’m so thankful for the divine intervention because WHEW this place is stellar. Got mine and my bff’s septum’s done today and we’ve never had such an all around great experience anywhere like this place. You walk in and everything’s just gorgeous and clean, they tell you to wash your hands immediately and I LOVE THAT! Then Harvey got us all set up, educated and situated. Tay got us checked in and checked out, and Clementine OMG she was born for this. The most patient and chill lady. Wish we could take them all with us everywhere! And just the cohesiveness of all of the employees.. they all communicate and it’s all just lighthearted fun which is so huge for a place like this. I just can’t say enough about it. 10/10 best place in San Antonio. And I haven’t been to every place but I’m CONFIDENT it’s number 1!

I had an incredible experience getting my nose pierced by Clementine! Not only was she professional, skilled, & SUPER FAST but her fun and humorous personality made the whole process a blast. So, I don’t know if she still works there, but Bri redid my septum piercing two months or so ago. I have a unique nose shape, and the previous piercer had done it in a spot where the piercing hung much lower than it was supposed to, but it looked so much better after she fixed it! I wish I had come to y’all the first time. The set up is very clean and professional, and additionally I loved the service. I will definitely get any future work done at this location!

Horrible scammers! They charged me without providing a service or using any jewelry. Jewelry never even touched by my daughter. I didnt have her birth certificate. Employee did not tell me that was required.Refused to give me a refund. Zero stars. Do not go here! Also employee seemed high as a kite when he charged my other daughter for one lobe piercing. She thought it was for two lobes. She requested not to do peirceing after all due to price for both. 180.00 is ridiculous. They declined a refund. No service or jewelry touched her either.! Owner is a scammer and jerk!

I went in to get my bridge and lip piercing, a few months ago and , was meet with very rude attitude with the workes there , and saying judgemental comments under there breath about me, and when I asked if the jewelry was to small because it felt to tight, they just blew me off when I asked door a biger size, I have worked at tattoo shops before as rep and nver would treat a customerthat way. And was just a very stressful uncomfortable vibe, my piercing was damaged in the healing process was so painful I was forced to remove at the e.r ,just wanted to say thank u for the bad experience!!!

The short guy with dark hair in a ponytail had a stank attitude. He wasnt listening or answering questions and was overall impolite. Couldnt proceed. The guy wearing a mask at the front was very nice but the one he handed me off to was off putting and I left bc of it.

Me and my friend went in earlier this week and were given amazing service from the get go. Clem was great in explaining the jewelry And process and Noah was a great piercer! They are very welcoming and friendly would highly recommend going here to get a piercing or tattoo.

I went to Platinum for a dermal and the staff was informative, friendly, and helpful! Rudy was my piercer and he did an amazing job setting me up with a beautiful iridescent jewel in the Center of my (very old) chest piece! Its a nice place to get tattoos, but I recommend against getting piercings. While everything is sterile, they use the wrong jewelry which has led to being forced to remove the piercings due to sinkage or infection. Even if you do the proper aftercare (which they tell you keep it clean and use a saline spray) Claries gives better aftercare instructions. If you are going to get a piercing here, please PLEASE do your research on the jewelry! As well as the anatomy of what your getting done because at platinum they will say things like if I can grab it I can peirce it. Which is not proper at all. Some piercings just do not work with some peoples anatomies. So please be careful!

Absolutely Terrible! I have been to tattoo and piercing shops all around the world and this is by far the worst. Most employees seemed too intoxicated to properly function. Waited 20 to get replacement jewelry before asking for an estimated wait time. The employee who I asked had just checked me in , but he was so intoxicated that he had no memory of who I was or why I was there!

Harvey was understanding and helping. Noah and Nancy were really good and made my dermal removal so easy. Swift and quick.

It took us two hours to just get a nostril piercing, mind you, we paid 102$ for just one piercing. this was by far the worst experience ever. The guy who did my piercing had the heaviest hand as well. I will never go here again.

Came here to get a navel piercing with Mingo last Tuesday.First off, atmosphere and staff were not welcoming. I overlooked it, as long as they did a good job, I didnt care. I went to select my jewelry and opted for a piece with a flat bottom (to go in my navel) and jewel on top (for above my navel). The clerk said they only do that for people with specific anatomy and that I should choose something else. Upon picking something else, I then waited to be called in. Mingo marked everything up and it looked fine. Piercing was quick and relatively painless. Upon looking at it, it looked okay. I could tell Mingo pierced more skin than he had marked so it looked snug, but they didnt have any longer pieces.One week to the day, I had to have it taken out with someone else. The pictures Im including are 1 week apart.The piercing was not placed correctly on my navel (it was too much on my stomach) and jewelry was waaay too short to account for swelling during the healing process, hence the digging into my skin on both ends.Dont throw away your money with this place. I paid $80 for this and $20 to have it removed. All for a gnarly looking wound. Have to wait 2 months before I can try with someone else.

I had a very mixed experience. I came with my sister for walk-in piercings and tattoos. Most (but not all) of the staff was friendly and helpful, but they told us we would wait for less than an hour and we waited over 2 hours.Mingo, the piercer, was INSANELY RUDE and so unsympathetic to my sister feeling nervous about her piercing. He was super short with us, never made eye contact, and acted inconvenienced by every question we had. I even calmly requested that he slow down, talk her through the process, and be a little kinder and more patient with her, and he was snippy in his response and avoided eye contact the whole time and never once apologized for his rudeness. We ended up walking out and going to a female piercer at the other location and she was so much nicer/more helpful.Axel, our tattoo artist, was absolutely AMAZING!! He took longer than other tattoo artists Ive had, but it was so worth it because this is by far the cleanest/most precise tattoo Ive ever gotten. I highly recommend him!!! If I lived in San Antonio, he would absolutely be my go-to artist.

Tony was very nice and did a good job piercing, but I have over 10 piercings, and have never had an infection. The jewelry Tony used was too tight, and now I have an infection on my flat.

I had a nose piercing done about 2 weeks ago and I must have scratched it by mistake in my sleep & pulled it all the way out of my nose & tried to place it back in my nose, but it being my first piercing outside of 2 ear piercing & I was too late. The piercing had closed on the inside. So I called Platinum to see if they could fix it. The lady on the phone said yes, for the price of the nose ring, which she said was from $5-$15. I said, great. Do you take walk ins? She said yes. When I went the lady who was scheduled to do my piercing said it will cost $80 because it has to be repierced bc it closed on the inside. That is a whole lot more than $5-$15. Who the hell charges that amount for a piercing when they are using the original nose ring. Bye, lady, Ill go somewhere where I can get good service and price.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been here three times for piercings, twice by the same person, and have had the same issues both times. Out of the four piercings I have had done by the same piercer three of them were done with bars so small that the swelling caused infection and immense pain. There is absolutely no world where you should be doing a tongue piercings with a 5/8 bar after mentioning that the client has rather thick tissue. Not to mention, that upon every visit I have been incorrectly told I do not have the right anatomy for a piercing I wanted, and then upcharged to something similar but more expensive. This establishment is not worth your money!!

I have taken my daughter to get piercings from the Northstar location 3 times now. The first time, everything turned out great. The second was with a different piercer, Crystal, and she did Angle bites. We had come in for a lip piercing, but we were told my daughter didnt have the correct anatomy for the jewelry she wanted. Angle bites were the best option she could offer. The jewelry was too short, caused severe pain and swelling. We had to come back in and get them replaced 2 times before they were long enough to allow healing.The second time we had the same piercer, she did a tongue piercing and an eyebrow piercing. This was the second time my daughter was told she had incorrect anatomy for a piercing, and was upcharged to a different one. Instead of a standard eyebrow, the piercer decided to do a surface piercing, and while it looks great, it wasnt at all what she had wanted and was twice the price. As it was her 16th birthday, I didnt complain about the upcharge, but it seems to be their standard bait and switch moves.The tongue piercing was a complete disaster! She used a 5/8 bar. After mentioning several times that my daughter had a very thick tongue. She was pierced at 415 pm and we had to rush to the Bandera rd location at 1030 pm because her tongue had swollen so profusely that she couldnt swallow her spit and she was choking.At first the piercer at this location seemed like she thought she was just being dramatic, but she was shocked when she pulled it out. She showed us a size comparison of what she normally uses to pierce versus the one we had and it was markedly smaller. She said that they have this issue regularly with Crystal using smaller sizes than typical. She offered to give us a discount, but several other reviews prove the owner will not back that up.Im disappointed because my oldest, myself, and my youngest have all used the Bandera rd location for several tattoos and piercings. After giving them my number, and not hearing back from the owner, we will no longer be using these locations. If the owner had just reached out, I would have been satisfied, but seeing as how he does not respect his customers time, money, and health, I do not want to use their services.

The piercer was not very informative. Also they allowed me to get a ring that wasnt ideal for the nose because it was high-priced. They are more concerned with money then helping out the customer.

The shop is clean, the shop is mostly professional (for a tattoo/piercing shop). You will get your work done. Whether you like the way your stuff heals or not is another story. I have to agree with what was said on a previous review, it is hit or miss. I’m used to getting tattoos and piercings done in Austin (multiple shops), and have had work that healed up beautifully every time regardless of the experience. That wasn’t me nor my partners experience after visiting this shop.I will start off by saying I had plans to get a big tattoo and small tattoo since they had a buy one get one half off special for Black Friday (late November). Both my sister and my partner were also coming in to get 2 things done as well (tattoos and piercings). We walked in at 7pm and we waited for two hours before anyone came to consult with us about the tattoos we wanted. We didn’t get tatted until about 10-1030pm. My partner got both their piercings done and came and sat with us for a whole hour until we had our consult. Their piercer was even surprised to find us still there at the end of the night. Main person was trying to get me in once he found out I was an out of towner and wasn’t going to be in town the next day (he wanted to get me in the next day and even pressured his artist to do it after the artist expressed he couldn’t and it was too big/too late to get it started).My partner went in for 2 piercings, ear and nose. The piercer and their apprentice were kind and we even got to chatting with them. Unfortunately, the healing process was very painful and slow. It wasn’t until early February that they fully healed/stopped feeling pain. My sister got 2 tattoos and also was getting pressure from the artist about it being “upside down”. So she ended up having to get it the way the artist wanted because he “wasn’t going to have his art out there ‘upside down’”. I just don’t agree with the way she was treated on the preference of the tattoo placement. I was only able to get one because it was too late by the time we actually started and even had plans to come back and get the tattoo from the artist I wanted, but after the whole experience that day I refuse to go back. On top of it all my tattoo looks like I got it years ago (heart in the pic), like legit going to another shop next week to get it touched up already! It’s been 3 months…

My experience was absolutely amazing. I had an appointment for a consultation for two pieces and they were able to accommodate the actual work at the same time. Harvey at customer service was great and went above and beyond to provide assistance. Olivia actually did my pieces and she did a wonderful job capturing my vision. She is a traveling artist and I’m already planning my next piece with her before she leaves. Highly recommend this shop and can’t wait to be back!

Absolutely the best! My mom and I were a late walk-in, and despite the time they got us checked in within minutes, then queued for tattoos. Mine was a larger piece on my lower arm (a trash polka design), and my mom got a smaller script behind her ear.I had the pleasure of having Jerson complete my tattoo. (I.G. js.tatuajes ) Highly recommended. He was very quick, skilled, and nice!The gentleman that completed the script for my mom was an anime artiest by the name of Hunter. Beautiful lines- and didnt take him very long to complete it.Over all were very happy! We live around 5 hours and honestly, the atmosphere and people were so effing wonderful we will be coming back to Platinum Tattoos and Piercings every time- even with the drive.Theyre worth it, folks. 10 out of 10! 😊

I had my tattoo (heart shaped flower wreath) on my front left shoulder done by David-loved loved loved it!!! He drew it up exactly and made recommendations in which he added detail with made the tattoo even more amazing. I am definitely going back next month for another one plus a retouch and want David to do them! He is awesome and has such an artistic eye. I was amazed by the facilitys cleanness and every single employees professionalism. I work in the education field and was amazed to see many parents taking their children for piercings or tattoos-the trust the parents had on the staff was beyond appreciation. It says a lot about one on how good they take care of their customers. My experience was extremely great and cant wait to go back for my other tattoos.

What a week! I started on Tuesday searching for a place to get my tattoo since I have been wanting one for so long. I had been wanting to get this done for the past 3 years. After looking at 3 other tattoo studios, I still was not happy, So, I decided to do my homework online one eveneing and actually read the reviews before making my final decision. I decided on Platinum Tattoo and Body Piercing. It was a great choice. The studio was clean, and comfortable, I felt at ease as soon as I walked in. I had chosen Jason Woods from reading the online reviews about the shop and about him and his art. When I met Jason, I shared my ideas and the artwork that I wanted incorporated into my design. Jason was great to work with. He designed all the aspects I wanted in my design on the concept drawing and made it flow together and his concept drawing was absolutely right on. Since I am in the Navy in Norfolk VA., I was only home on leave for just 3 days so to get this done right, I thought was not going to be easy. Jason assured me he could get this done. The total time he needed was going to be 10+ hours or so. So over the course of all day Thursday, July 4th, Yes they opened the shop and came in on their day off, just to do my tattoo. Jason worked about 8-9 hours on Thursday and then again on Friday 7-5-19 worked another 5 hours to finish the piece. He cranked this piece out in about 13-14 hours over the back to back two days. It was totally awesome, all the details, all the right details, Jason is a great guy and very talented artist tattoo and with his 18+ years of experience, he knows what he is doing. I would highly recommend him. I am so glad I choose Jason to do my tattoo. In fact, now I am back at my Navy command post in Norfolk, VA, from arriving on Saturday night 7-6-2019. On Sunday just running a few errands around the base and to the store that day, I had at least 12 people, comment on how much they liked my tattoo. Ten of these folks, I did not even know and they commented on how nice my tattoo was. Jason is the only artist that I will let do any future work next time I get back home to San Antonio. Jason YOU DA MAN.

After searching for a tattoo shop and artist for several years I think I have finally found the place and person. I am so thankful for cornbread to get us in very swiftly and give us the most badass tattoo I have. (Small Skeleton Hand on lower leg) The environment in the shop is very welcoming, clean, and everyone is very professional yet friendly. I love how cornbread kept checking up on me through out the process to make sure I was comfortable. He was very easy to interact with and plan a tattoo in detail. Got my first tattoo here, the team was super relaxed and friendly which helped make it less stressful. They helped me design a piece that encompassed what was going to be 2 separate tattoos and instead made it one really unique piece that I love even more!My artist was Jordan Mobley and he did amazing the day of the tattoo, super positive, engaged and friendly! He will be my go to for whatever pieces I may get in the future for sure!The location was very nice as well, the rooms were all clean which is always nice. Went in wanting two piercings and got Noah as my piercer. Wait time wasn’t too bad and the place was very clean. Noah saw my old piercings and told me he could redo it without rejecting it like the first time and it came out perfect. Ended up leaving with three piercings definitely going back to Noah.

“Canada” was my tattoo artist for this amazing piece. And I can honestly say I’ll be back with him for some more! He’s so easy to talk to (which is important when you’re getting inked for hours lol) He also designed this piece after just telling him what I’m looking for and he did this all remotely as well! I love how nice everyone is there, the environment is very welcoming. Everything i’ve gotten from platinum has never disappointed me.

Mingo did great with my helix piercing! Professional and clean. Pierced exactly where I wanted it. If youre not sure where you want it, hell put a dot on your ear so you can see if youll like it there. Prices are reasonable. Helix is $30 minimum. Includes earing and service. If you want a jewelry upgrade it ranges from $16 - 21 (additional). They also offer a military discount.

Jason did my tattoo and it was absolutely amazing. Such a great and skilled artist. Made you comfortable in his knowledge of his craft. Able to make me happy and add his own twist to what he designed.

Came in with a about ten minutes to spare before a dinner reservation. Told them I was thinking about some piercings with a friend later on that evening. The girl at the counter was very helpful and efficient, she told me about her personal experience and was able to show me the jewelry and what to expect.We came in later and were able to be seen right away. Love Mingo, the piercer and I always feel like I am in safe hands. This is not the first time and definitely not the last!

Bridge did my toddler’s ear piercing and she was amazing! She was extremely patient, made sure to explain the process the whole time, and gave her time to calm down when needed. At no point was anything rushed or forced. I could not be happier with the experience we had today. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful which kept my daughter excited. This place is pretty great- staff is hilarious and friendly. JORDAN MOBLEY actually did my tattoo and he did a phenomenal job! I gave him a picture of exactly what I wanted but he made it 1000x better. The guy really has a steady hand and vision for art work. I usually don’t go with people I’m unfamiliar with but JORDAN MOBLEY does FLAWLESS work. I strongly recommend him for 1st timers and people who are willing to get a new artist. This guy made my experience AMAZING. I’ll be back to do my half sleeve with him.

I got pierced by Frankie a few months ago, and the whole experience was perfect! From the booking process (super easy) the shop is very clean and sanitized, great jewelry selection, they required face masks which is a plus in my books and mostly Frankie herself. She’s extremely patient ( I ask a lot of questions) knowledge and has a great hand for piercing she’s gentle and fast! Lol my conch and tragus healed fast with minimal pain I would 100% be going back for more and I recommend this shop/Frankie for anyone looking in the San Antonio area.

Was told the wait would be 1 hour, but it ended up being much longer. Great place though. I highly recommend it. Currently (11/5) theyre having their annual Toy4Tats event! If you bring in a toy worth $20 then you get a $60 voucher for a tattoo. The facility is clean and the staff was very nice!

I refrain from leaving reviews but I was treated like absolute trash to the point where I left this store in tears. The front desk person, who seems to be the owner was obviously under the influence and was behaving as such. I previously got a tongue piercing from this place and the piercer, Mingo, was so mean for no reason. I asked for a moment to breathe before my piercing and he refused. He proceeded to grab my tongue without me being ready and shoved the needle through. I tried to ask for aftercare and he was uninterested in talking and gave me no information what so ever. I experienced extreme pain and discomfort and upon calling the store back, was sent to another branch for evaluation and told that they would like to compensate my troubles with a discount or free piercing. They also took out the old bar and put a shorter one in free of charge to help me close my mouth. After attending the consultation, the piercer informed me that my piercing was infected and wrongly pierced by Mingo. She also said that it was frustrating because he messed up people’s piercings very often. She, however, sent me with a plan to save the piercing. Today I went to the store hoping to use my discount, which is the ONLY reason I’d go back after last time. I was treated so poorly it was unbelievable. Even after explaining, the owner told me to stick out my tongue and said everything I went through never happened because it wasn’t documented. I was made to seem like I made the story up or like I was lying. The owner said I didn’t have documentation but the person who gave me the discount said they didn’t give documentation for that, and that I just had to explain to them what happened. The owner was harsh and used unnecessary remarks. When I spoke he repeatedly kept saying, “That never happened” even though he wasn’t there. This was all besides the point as the piercing was already paid for but I was getting upset with the rudeness. After letting that go, the owner proceeded to tell me I had to pay for jewelry despite someone from the store telling me my jewelry was covered. I am able to confirm this was so from proof that I obtained from my mobile service provider. The owner said I lied about everything I said, even their phone number. Which I called in his presence and it rang. It was very obvious by the things the owner was saying that he profiled me and treated me based on that. This store has put me through a lot. I will not be getting a refund, which they can keep, but I will always remember how saddening my experiences with this store have been and warn anyone who may consider taking the gamble here. It really is at your own risk because they obviously do not care. I cannot complain to the owner, because the owner is the one who treated me this way. This is the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life and it’s sad that this is what humanity has come to.

The entire staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable in their field. My personal experience with Bridge and Clementine permanently have my business for future piercings. They were so patient in my decisions for jewelry and placement. I was even given multiple discounts on jewelry and invited to an event at their shop featuring Tawapa which is a very reputable brand. 10/10 would recommend.

1st off a man who is not wearing his mask correctly is telling you that you have to wear a mask ok. 2nd they wait until 3 or more people need piecing before a person comes in to do the piercing. You wait for an hour to a piercing. 3rd they do not care about your time they ask you to pay so you can’t leave after you been waiting for forever. Our first time here because of all the wonderful reviews. My wife and I were not disappointed. Tatum assisted my wife with selecting 2 lobe piercings and 1 flat. Then just a few minutes later, Bridge performed the piercing. Bridge was easy-going to talk with and gave advice we hadnt heard. Previously, we were told to turn the piercing to prevent skin from healing into it. Grateful to learn sanitize and just leave it be! Were hoping to make this our new go-to spot for tattoos and piercings. Tattoos coming soon!

Bridge did an amazing job with my belly button piercing. checked out my anatomy to see if it was safe and spent a good minute making sure it was lined up with my body. 10/10 experience. they did great!!

The staff was so nice and helpful and funny, the place was extremely clean and i felt very well taken care of, already have recommended this place to others and will continue to do so. Noah did my piercing and Nancy was very helpful as well, they both are great people and piercers.

My wife had an appointment yesterday that was set approximately three weeks ago by the artist. She left an $80 deposit and was so excited because we recently lost our 13 year old pitbull, and she is absolutely devastated. She was so excited and anxiously awaiting this tattoo day to memorialize her girl…She was literally driving to her appointment and they called and told her the artist just woke up and was sick. To call someone 15 to 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment as they are literally driving there is so unprofessional… my wife was extremely upset and so disappointed…He then told her he would check with the artist on seeing if another one could do the work. He said he would call her right Back so she pulled over in a parking lot to wait….it took him over an hour to call her back and when he did he said that she can come in at 4 or 5 o’clock …,she was literally almost there than they expected her to drive all the way home, and then go all the way back there four hours later. She told them forget it as she was just so upset and disappointed and didn’t even trust the tattoo artist now. She ended up going somewhere else to get her tattoo done. In the long run she is happy it happened as her tattoo is absolutely Amazing and the artist who did it was so understanding of how much her dog meant to her. He spent so much time perfecting it and captured her spirit perfectly! Not to mention he charged $200 less for the same exact design.. We will definitely be disputing the deposit charge with our bank and tell everyone we know to avoid this place.!!! They are super unprofessional and inconsiderate!!!!!

Got a septum ring and a flat piercing done. The flat piercing is a brown looking mole retainer since I am in the military. I will definitely be back to get more🥰

I got my first tattoo last week! David was the artist, he was super careful about getting me what I wanted. And told me afterward that he specializes with symmetry. It was nice and clean, all pros, masks were required (not sure why, all good) I love my ink and Im already planning my next. You might want to make an appointment - busy place. :)

I went in to get a septum piercing, was greeted by a front desk attendant very obviously apathetic about the incoming customers. In a place that handles piercings and tattoos, that makes sure customers go through measures to keep their own cleanliness such as washing their hands upon entering the shop, they were seen vaping all throughout the front desk area. Completely unprofessional behavior, not to mention the creepy comments made towards other girls getting upper ribcage tattoos and giving off a general creepy presence towards them. Long story short, I was called in for my septum piercing and at first was convinced the piercer was going through correct protocol, the area was clean and tools were all in fact in sterile packaging. Although, I was not asked at all about the placement of my piercing beforehand, and was pierced extremely high, through cartilage in my nose. I know this because I’ve had a septum piercing in the past and that one sat way lower than the new one, also, the pain of the piercing was way too harsh and seemed off. The jewelry was barely able to be seen due to how high the piercing was. The piercer also seemed extremely rushed and didn’t give much care into how I liked the placement, so now I am waiting for this piercing hole to heal after taking the jewelry out, and then definitely going to another shop to get it done correctly. Please be aware if you go to this shop, the service you receive will definitely be hit or miss, and if you are at all discomforted by creepy front desk guys, steer clear from it.

I did a walk-in today (Tuesday before Thanksgiving) for an upsizing of my inner conch piercing and the whole team was fabulous and so professional!!! I was greeted immediately by Brian who asked what I was in for and immediately helped by Harvey. Harvey took a look at the sizing of my piercing because I had no idea what size it was to begin with. He showed me to the jewelry to see if there was anything I was interested in. They were transparent with letting me know the wait time (which was very quick) and that they were going to sanitize my new jewelry before placement. Mingo the piercer did my upsizing. He is super pleasant and gentle and I didnt feel a thing!! Upon concluding my visit, Harvey and Brian gave me a paper with detailed aftercare instructions! So kind, I highly recommend this wonderful piercing/tattoo studio!!!!

I went both for a consultation and to get a tattoo! Tattoo came out so beautiful!! Happy with my tattoo! Reason why I put 4 stars, is these guys show up super late for their appointments. Each time I had to wait 40-45 minutes. Other than that, nice place to get a tattoo.

I will never come here again. The staff was rude, especially my piercer. The service was the $35 & the piercing itself was $50. I’ve never paid that much for a piercing. My piercer got upset when I asked him to place the dot lower down my nose. He also was very rude and rough when putting the jewelry on, he was pulling my nostril. My nose is still sore. Don’t recommend at all! My piercers name is Mingo.

Best experience ever (don’t do this to them) but we walked in, 4 ppl for nose piercings on a Friday night and we were in and out in an hour. Our sites were scrubbed clean throughly and the equipment was sterile. The owner, Noah, looks like bam and he did mine. I felt nothing -except like a goddess afterwards - bc this ring was is so damn sexy. Would rinse repeat this experience. 11/10. It doesn’t hurt that the ppl at the front desk were all beautiful humans.

I got pierced here last year. I initially came in for snakebites. When I booked it online it was under the owner’s name (that was literally the only choice available). That was fine, I figured I’d be in good hands as he’d done my ears before.I showed up with my friend & it ended up being Mingo. He had a pretty terrible attitude, said he wasn’t feeling well (headache), & very obviously didn’t want to be there. I figured we all had our days. He didn’t stand up a single time to view the placement of my piercings, my friend had to take a look & with his attitude, we both felt rushed. The initial markup was very obviously uneven, so we had him change it up. He made a comment along the lines of how could I even tell if he moved the placement or not. I was just kind of like… okay?He finishes the adjustment, & again my FRIEND, not a piercer or employee, had to take a quick glance as did I to see if it looked okay. In the mirror it looked fine. He pierces them while he’s SEATED. I look in the mirror, it looks off but I assumed the swelling was contributing to some of the unevenness already. When I get into the car, they look even worse.The next day I’m extremely unhappy after seeing myself in the mirror several times & getting opinions from my friends. I call within 3 days of getting the piercings & am told I need to wait at least two weeks for swelling to go down for them to look at them. I’m like okay, even though I look absolutely mangled.Two weeks goes by, I come in & I see Sarah. She’s very kind & she takes one look & more or less tells me she can’t believe how dirty he did me. I tell her the whole story, she’s floored he sat the entire time & didn’t even check the alignment. Not only were they so very obviously uneven, they were pierced at terrible angles. She apologized, took some photos, got my number, & told me she’d talk to management & get this resolved. Has me take the piercings out & tells me I can come back in two weeks to get them redone. I booked my follow up.Another two weeks goes by, I never got a call from management, & I show up to my appointment at opening. The staff is there INCLUDING MINGO, & my friend & I had to sit & listen to the owner of the shop reaming Mingo about maiming customers. Sarah had already made it clear that I wasn’t the only person he’d done this to. It was unbelievably awkward because I’m sure he was well aware of who it was that complained given that I was in the same room as this employee meeting.I get taken back, Sarah is trying to get things lined up. She seems a bit nervous about getting it even & she’s taking quite a bit of time to mark & remark. She’s asked another employee their opinion & while they’re discussing, the owner comes into the room. He basically tells Sarah she needs to hurry up & that it shouldn’t be taking so long to do this, etc. I finally get pierced & low & behold, one is still crooked.I didn’t receive a refund after all of this. The re-do was my reward for having been maimed, forced to listen to an employee who should have been fired be reprimanded, & then pierced unevenly - albeit so much better than what Mingo did.Thank you Sarah for being kind, I truly appreciate that, but I will literally never come back here nor will I recommend anyone to come here. I ended up going to another shop to get my posts changed out. When asked their opinion, they could tell the right piercing was still a bit too low & pierced at an angle. They recommended that I take it out for a few months & let the scar tissue heal if I wanted them to even it out. At that point I was just so done with getting my lips jabbed that I’ve kept it as is. Would I prefer them to be more symmetrical? Absolutely, & I don’t expect perfection. I realize everyone has asymmetry in their features, but even this set could have been done better. I think if Sarah hadn’t been rushed by the owner in his bad mood that she likely could have gotten them more symmetrical. Unfortunately, we’ll never know.

I would rate higher but its not in the books for me. First off, why tell customers to wear a mask when your own employees either have them on the chin or not wearing it correctly? Secondly, the young man at the front desk, kind of rude and unorganized. If you have a customer in front you, the customer should have your attention. I felt like I was bothering him by coming in. Lastly, the basic jewelry is over priced, theres no reason a single barbell should be damn near $30, its not any different from sterilized jewelry that you can get for less at any other business. I could see the piercing and jewelry being that price together but for just a basic barbell alone...come on!I hadnt heard good things about this shop but figured Id give it a go anyways. Although its pointless to expect to hear back from anyone as you can tell by all the responses to reviews seem to be copy and paste. Nothing different from one person to the next.Im sure the artists themselves are awesome and do great jobs so nothing against them, but the actual business itself isnt the greatest in San Antonio like they claim. I may try again at some point but for now, Ill stay with my current artists and shop.

Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any shop, the whole time Santi was looking at the reference photo on our phones, he was eating fries and left greasy fingerprints on our phones but I still had hope things would go well, they didn’t. Our artist was very cold from the start and just seemed annoyed with us being there. Both of our tattoos were blown out and the lines were wonky/inconsistent throughout even though the design was very simply. We’ve been trying to get it fixed for months now and every time we call or try to set up a new appointment, it’s constantly moved.

Harvey was so kind and patient when my sister and I got our piercings and choosing jewelry with mingo.

Came with a large group where five of us got pierced. The place was a little full but we didn’t mind because that just told us how good the place is. Our group was pierced by Bridge, who took her time with each & every one us to make sure that we liked the markings & made sure that we were comfortable. 12/10 am planning on coming back with Bridge for all future piercings!

Got my septum done here, and when I lost one of the spikes at the end, they replaced it for no charge!! Outstanding place!

Took my best friend here to get her nose and industrial bar but ended up with her belly button and nose instead. Thank you to the awesome staff for being accommodating with switching and waiving the difference!!!! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a piercing.

The piercer was absolutely amazing, but the staff was unprofessional and did not show any customer service at all. Was given paperwork as soon as we walked in the door without being greeted or asked what we were looking for. While filling out the paperwork, the manager/owner of the shop was trash-talking a client of his for not getting a big enough (and expensive enough) tattoo. The jewelry we were shown was the most expensive options available. Was overcharged for the stud and the back piece of a nose piercing (both individual charges). Paid before any service was actually rendered and was expected to tip before service. The same manager who was trash-talking his client made my girlfriend uncomfortable by asking to see a partially covered tattoo on her thigh and making inappropriate comments about it. I wouldnt go here unless youre okay with being treated poorly and overpaying for a piercing, and probably a tattoo. I would recommend literally anywhere else.

My second time getting a piercing here and I LOVE it, my piercer was the sweetest and she was quick too, definitely will be coming back for my piercings if I get anymore in the future, ask for Bridge she’s awesome!

I Went on September 30 for my birthday to get a septum an I haven’t had any problem at all no soreness no sign of infection. this is the best place I’ve chosen to go an I can recommend. They were friendly and very clean there. I will return. :)

My friend and I were having a sad girl moment that could only be mended by the endorphins released from getting a tattoo.So we stopped by platinum on a whim and ended up with two awesome tattoos.Mana was so nice and did a great job on our tattoos!

Had a wonderful experience getting my jewelry swapped out! Very laid back and friendly staff, super clean and organized space with a large selection of gorgeous jewelry with a few customizations. Cant wait to go get more piercings and hopefully soon tattoos here. Highly recommend especially if new to getting pierced.
