I went in to get the Friday the 13th tattoo special with my gf, and couldn’t be happier with what we received. Kaitlyn absolutely killed it, and was very kind and gave me a great deal. John did my gfs tattoo and also killed it. We even went back asking about adding more color, and he had her taken care of in less than 10 min. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for their first tattoo, or adding to their collection. It was a very lighthearted atmosphere and very welcoming. I will definitely be going back for more!!

Me and My husband went on a friday night to get some new tattoos and we spoke with john who from the beginning was friendly and amazing he threw us some design ideas and we fell in love he explained his process made it feel comfy and got right to work he gave me an eye of the storm tattoo which is beautiful he was very understanding about the pain and how it can be uncomfortable and he was super helpful with that and with the colors i love them and he explained the color patter and my husband got a skull with a crow to cover up an old tattoo and it blew me away that you couldn’t see the old one anymore and he added a nice gold tooth to the skull which we loved he was very friendly and all around a wicked dude he’s my new traditional guy for sure. love the hell outta these tatts !!! chefs kiss 👌🏽

My husband and I wanted a memorial tattoo for our son that took his life last year. I wanted something for suicide awareness and all the ways my son still shows me that he’s all around me.Philly did an amazing job creating the content I wanted and my husband wanted.My son’s name is Chandler, but he went by CJ. Red cardinals, butterflies, dragonflies, semi colon and teal/purple watercolor all tells my story of how I remember my son in one detailed piece of art. There are not enough words to explain how much I love this tattoo and what it will mean to me forever.I highly recommend this shop and all their artists to anyone that wants to create something special for any occasion. I flew in from out of state on Sunday 7/7/24 and went to the studio that evening as a walk in with a vague idea in mind. John was amazing and took my ideas and drew up some designs for me. Kika also talked with us and gave us some ideas where we ended up coming up with this design that John drew up for me! It turned out better than I imagined and is an amazing piece to represent my first day ever in Texas! Absolutely recommend this shop to anyone wanting an amazing tattoo or piercing plus a wonderful welcoming experience.

Kaitlyn did a great job on a memorial piece for my grandmother. She took the elements from references I gave her and made her own original art that lived up exactly to what I wanted. I wanted color and she gave beautiful vibrant colors. Kaitlyn was extremely professional and attentive, I couldnt have asked for a better person to have done this piece.

Came to get my daughters nose pierced. The moment we walked in, we were greeted and assisted right away. We were a walk-in client and spent no more than 30 mins. The lady piercing my daughter was very friendly and made her feel comfortable.

Got my nostril piercing done by Ky, she was very good at explaining what she was doing and very helpful when i started swelling badly and needed new jewelry

I went in with my own design and sent a video of how I wanted it to look/placement. I said I wanted lines with minimal shading. I don’t know why he chose to make my lines so damn thick but I’m so upset that this is on my neck forever. It looks nothing like what I asked for. I asked him to move it over closer to the middle of my neck and he chose not to. Said he would add leaves and didn’t. They seem like such good people and unfortunately I’ll never go back because of this. I’m so mad I could cry. I wanted to go back for eyeliner but I can’t trust the work.

I had a very specific and sentimental concept I wanted tattooed - a spiritual sun. Philly was so kind on the phone I decided to do a walk in same day. He worked with me to create the design and I felt so heard and excited to have exactly what I wanted. He has some very cool designs that are black and grey/spooky with great detail if you prefer that — but, his creativity with color is amazingly eye catching (you can also ask him about anime/hello kitty style). He also offered to touch up my older tattoo (obviously it just could not compare with the new one) and he went ahead and redid the whole tattoo for me. I let him know I had a small clover hidden in the center of the dahlia as my mother is Irish and had a tattoo for her mother on her ankle. He pulled out an “Irish green” and added it beautifully in the newly vibrant leaves. Overall, I felt very heard and that I was able to really define what I wanted as it was full collaboration throughout the process. I also trusted his judgement on some things (size enough for the amount of detail I wanted, adding certain colors to really make it pop) and these turned out to be great recommendations. He was very skilled with a steady hand, was very focused and attentive to detail, took his time to make additions that really took it to the next level (some textured shading/dotting - he also can do glitter coloring if that interests you). I will be going back to Philly for additions to my leg. It was a great experience. Highly recommend.

I got my first tattoo here by Kaitlyn, and my first piercings here by Ky. They were both wonderful, patient, and experts in their craft! The staff are all very LGBTQ+ friendly, too! Will definitely be going to back again!

I always choose Master Minds for my piercings and tattoos. Today I had a lovely visit with Catie the piercer who was able to remove my dermal with ease. I also got my Rook pierced, she did it so well I barely felt a thing! She redid my cartilage for me cause it closed up, put my new jewelry in my other piercings without any issues, made sure they would all fit well (I have small ears lol) I got my other nostril and eyebrow done so easily didn’t hurt at all! I’m still not sore or hurting even after a few hours later! She had great customer service as well! I highly recommend her services at the shop! Kika gave me a wonderful and beautiful tattoo of my daughters name, he came up with the whole design! I always have such a great experience and feel like family not just a customer!

This place is incredible! I knew what tattoo I wanted but I wasn’t sure how I wanted it or really where but I got some great advice and my tattoo is better than what I had originally planned! My tattoo artist was incredible and gentle and so kind when I was so nervous I’ve had rough experience before and she changed my whole view on getting tattoos. We even talked about our fur babies. I got mine since me and my husband lost one of our babies two weeks ago and this forever tattoo makes me feel like I’m forever with him thank y’all so much! I will be coming back to her for more !

You don’t find many tattoo shops that take walk-ins, so this was very convenient. Came in with my little sister to get matching tattoos for her birthday. Our artist was Philly, we showed him what we were looking into getting and he worked with us on the size and price, and knocked out the stencil quick. When it came down to the tattooing part he knocked it out, the lines were clean, details were cute, and he didn’t have a heavy hand. The vibe you get from the shop and the artists are very chill, and the sanitation measures were awesome. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely coming back in the future! Thanks again Philly!

If you’re looking to have an amazing tattoo or piercing done then this is the place for you! The artists are outstanding (our artist was Philly), and he was very attentive to his client (constantly checking about pain level and stopping work if his client needed a break). He was extremely knowledgeable about his craft (he explained why or why not a particular tattoo would or wouldn’t work depending on the location, size and details of the chosen design). The pricing was very reasonable and the the atmosphere was great. We plan to go back and have more work done and plan to recommend Master Minds Tattoos to anyone looking for a new piercing and/or tattoo because we know that they will have a great experience.

Got great flash tattoos by Kaitlyn as walk-ins. She even redrew one of the flash pieces for my wife to make it look a little better. Shes super great and caring. She took the time to clean up a nasty tattoo I had recently got in NOLA that isnt healing well. The rest of the artists in the shop were also friendly and nice to chat with. My wife and I went in for the Halloween flash sale tattoo, the atmosphere was great and the artist was even better. I have several tattoos and he was by far the lightest hand that has ever tattooed me. I also had him fix and color an old tattoo and the prices are extremely reasonable. This should be your first choice in tattoo parlors, and know it will be mine from now on.

Please do not bother going here. My boyfriend and I were so excited to get our pieces only to be devastated with the results. None of the equipment was sanitized, the tattoos were rushed, and I don’t even think I really have to explain what is wrong with the tattoo but it’s literally UNFINISHED and the details don’t even make sense??? This was done by the head tattoo artist and after looking at other reviews, theres no doubt that he willingly/knowingly gave me a bad tattoo. I know he could’ve done better but instead he decided to give me the great value version of what I asked for. I went to a different tattoo shop to see what they could do to help me fix it and they were at a loss of words. Still in the process of trying to figure out how to fix it. Please don’t take any chances here.

I went in as a walk-in for a traditional tomahawk tattoo and left with exactly what I wanted, but even better than I ever imagined! I highly recommend Kika for any of your tattoo needs. He let me adjust in the chair to a more comfortable position and made it an overall great experience!

Decided to check out this tattoo/piercing shop bc of the good reviews, went in and wanted to pierce my right nostril, I already had my left pierced so I wanted them to be even, I’ve pierced my nose multiple times before and most of the piercers don’t have patience and just agree and go with wherever they wanna pierce but not Sarah! She was actually very patient and wanted to make sure I left happy with my piercing, unfortunately my piercing popped out a couple of days later so I went back to her and she redid it with no problem. I really appreciate that she made sure I was taken care of!

I went to go get a tattoo from Kaitlyn and I have to say I loved everything she did! I gave her a 10 minute sketch and she turned it into a freehand sleeve tattoo that I am IN LOVE WITH!! 10/10 recommend and Im definitely going back to get my leg done.

The Tattoo Artists at this establishment are relatable people who pay attention to delivering what the customer wants. You get what you pay for and you pay for good tattoos here. Kika did my tattoo. He made sure I was comfortable and let me chill and listen to music while he went to work on my tattoo. This place has great music and just an all-around comfortable vibe. My only sad point is I wish I could have afforded to get more color in my tattoo. I think I am going to come back, chill out on their couch. Great job Kika! The tattoo already feels great, looks good, and I am ready for the compliments.

Super crisp lines and excellent saturation of color. Definitely look her up if you were wanting to get some precision text or script work done. Masterminds tattoo offered a great tattoo experience. I got my tattoo cover up done by a member of this shop and I was in ft Bliss at a tattoo expo. I chose this shop because of the sign they had hanging. The sign had the Irish Claddagh and thats what I wanted. The hands dont look like hands and the tattoo it was supposed to cover up didnt cover at all because he used baby blue and purple to cover black ink. I paid roughly 500 dollars and not a single person I show my tattoo to can tell what its supposed to be. SOOOOO UNHAPPY!!!!!!!

Stopped by just to see if I could come in as a walk in and even during covid they were all so accommodating and welcoming! My artist was Kaitlyn and she did such an awesome job! She added perfect art to a piece I was wanting to really make it come to life and she even gave me great feedback on my placement and color options! She was very patient with me as the piece was quite large and checked in with me throughout the appointment to ensure I was pleased with the piece. I loved her work so much I came back within a week for a second piece!! Definitely am looking forward to her work that I’ll continue to add to my body!!! Was a walk in. Got my smiley pierced as well as a sternum tattoo. Pink did a wonderful job on both. Both him and Kaitlyn took the time to make sure the stencil was lined up evenly where I wanted it and talked me through it the entire time. I got my septum piercing from the kind beautiful lady with the black hair I’m so sorry I forgot her name but she was so professional, clean and caring the whole time. I was a walk in and got in super quick. I was nervous because I have anxiety but she was really sweet and gentle she made me smile while doing my septum piercing to help me feel more comfortable and it was super quick. If I could give them more them more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend this shop. :)

This shop is definitely the place to go for piercings. I would suggest getting an appointment instead of walk-in, but even though I was a walk in, I only had to wait about 10-15 minutes which is no big deal to me. While I was waiting, the rest of the staff had no issue providing a welcoming atmosphere to someone who is a new customer. They spoke with me and everyone pretty much has a friendly personality. Kika even asked if I wanted water or something to drink while I was waiting. The after-care procedures were explained carefully for my piercing, and I do plan on coming back in the future. I got tattooed by dahlia , one of the best tattoo sessions I’ve ever been apart of, her line work was amazing!!!! She custom designed my tattoo and I am absolute in love! She was very gentle with the needle and still pulled off my tattoo with my shaking and pain twitches. She was very sweet and worked with me to design my tattoo, she held great conversation and I really got to learn about her. I am very pleased with my work and my visit. 100/10

It all started with a message....I was curious about a Daith piercing for migraines. The quickness of the responses and the thoroughness of the responses was the reason I went in. Im so HAPPY I did.... I sat with the staff and we joked around until it was my turn to go back.In the chair Catie answered all my questions. She cleaned the area, told me to take a deep breath and as I exhaled it was done. One of the absolute EASIEST piercing I have ever gotten.Afterward I find out that the owners wife has the same piercing for the same reason I got mine. She shared with me her experiences and tricks she used to help relieve and discomfort from her migraine with the jewelry.I wish I could give more then 5 stars!!!

Master Minds is one of the very few shops that carries fine jewelry for piercings! In the past I’ve had a Helix piercing done and it wasn’t a great experience because I wasn’t pierced with the correct jewelry not the right people. These guys are reputable piercers and know what they’re talking about when it comes to piercings. They’re quick to respond ,especially on social media , I asked about their piercings and they got back to me quickly. The next week I was there getting my ear done. Now I have a new helix piercing with 14k gold and citrine! Ask for Dahlia 🙌🏽

The feathers give me anxiety to look at because the shape or outline doesnt make sense and not consistent. The tie where it attaches to my cross isnt aligned but contains great line work. I just dont understand how it went from great thin lines to thick overly round lines. There no depth or definition in the shading. The tips of the feathers are overly rounds and looks like nubs. Maybe his intention is to have a second session to work more on the details and shading but my tattoo took less than an hour which is bizarre for this size. I was willing to pay big bucks for quality but he shot me a price and I thought that he was hooking me up...I see why now. Line work is what defines a tattoo and this cant be fix.

Ian pierced our 15 month old daughters ears and did a fantastic job! I can not recommend this place enough! He was so patient and did not rush at all. I am also extremely please with how clean everything was and how much time he took to show me how safe and sterile everything was! He took care of my baby girl like she was his own!

She even asked my daughter what kind of music she liked, so she could que it up for her. Her hand is steady and she has a great eye for placement. Talking through each step soothed my daughter’s nerves and made the process go by quickly and painlessly. You’re also provided with a kit that contains everything you’ll need to care for the piercing; complete with written instructions. I shopped around online and feel so fortunate that I decided to use Master Minds Tattoos and piercings.

I went to get a tattoo nervous and leary, and left on Cloud 9. My artist Kaitlyn was patient, understanding, and extremely accommodating. Tattoos have always been hard due to low pain tolerance and being so boney... Kaitlyn took time helping me with placement and was super patient and compassionate, reminding me to breathe, and if it got to be too much to let her know and shed stop. I never had to tell her to stop, she was lighthanded but the work was dark and clean. Shes got the touch. Will be working with her on as many future peices shell do on me! So.....This was our first time here. I brought my son in for his first piercing. Our piercer was Dahlia and she was so sweet and courteous. I had spoken with her days before we came and her customer service was spot on. Its rare to tell the truth. She made my son feel way less anxious and the piercing was also very quick and clean. If it wasnt for COVID I would have done mine as well but, since Masterminds actually practices safe ordinance this is just another reason why I DEFINITELY WILL BE RETURNING. Dahlia is awesome and so sweet. Went in and got a new belly button ring. She placed the new ring for me while there. The body jewelry is top quality. My skin was getting irritated by other jewelry. The jewelry she uses is made of titanium and great for sensitive skin.

For Friday the 13th they had free piercings which just required payment for jewelry. Drive 35 minutes to be told sorry piercer left for the night. Not once was that mentioned on their Facebook page. On the Facebook page it states midnight. Get there 6 minutes to 11 and for absolutely nothing. The lady at the front had a bad attitude. Dont run a business if you cant keep things updated. You arent the one paying for my gas.If you are going to advertise something and give till midnight, be available at midnight like you posted. Simple as that!

I went in for a hand tattoo. The artist that did it had an attitude. When I told him what I wanted he came out with his own picture which is not how it works. The person that is getting the tattoo should show you what they want since its going on them. So when I told him no thats not what I was looking for he sighed and said hell see what else he can find. Then at that he was already choosing his own colors for it like if it was HIS tattoo when I was the one getting it. Overall, I was not satisfied. He seems like he was rushing to get it done and sure enough after it healed I now have a scarred tattoo!! Will never go here again.

Pros: Friendly, professional, reasonable prices, easy goingIve worked with Kika two times recently. When I first entered the shop I was a walk in on a Saturday night. Everyone was friendly and I had called ahead and they remembered that I wanted to work with kika on a trash polka tattoo. I appreciated this( compared to places where you have to explain who you are, and that you called ahead etc. )I showed kika the design I wanted and that I wanted him to do it in trash polka. He designed it out and we collaborated on the design, and I even through out some ideas while he was tattooing that he liked and implemented. I was so pleased that two weeks later I came in for another tattoo Ive been wanting. This one also turned out well and it is currently healing nicely. I will be using them again and have already recommended my friends to them.

I got my back dimples piercing n literally they got infected 2 days later which I know I did everything they told me, I went to another place and they told me apparently they didn’t know what they were doing or the place wasn’t clean. The job was so awful I had to go to the doctor good thing I notice fast bc I could just end up on a wheel chair. So I went back to them to talk about it and I wanted a refund and they didn’t care at all. Never got my refund back either ($120)

Such a rad place with awesome people. It was my first tattoo and it was a great experience. Had KIKA do my tat and it came out CLEANNN. Funny dude, made you feel like home too. Highly recommend

I had 3 piercings done, it was quick and easy, I would highly recommend them. They also offered to change the jewelry after 2 weeks to something I prefer. I intended to return for more piercings and possibly tattoos in the future. Great place, very clean!

Great place to get a tattoo! Got a memorial tattoo for my dog who’s passed and it came out perfect. My artist was so nice and made the space comfortable and fun!! Definitely going back soon for another!

Very very friendly staff!!Got my industrial pierced and screamed like the biggest baby in the world. All of the staff came and checked on me. They repeatedly asked if I was ok. Felt very welcomed and loved :)Thank you Mastmind Tattoos for the piercing and hospitality.

Kaitlyn did my tattoo tonight. We were a walk in and she was so kind and helped me pick what I wanted. My friend got a little pizza tattoo from someone else in the shop, and I got a flower tattoo I will absolutely be going back to her for my future tattoos.

10/10 would not recommend this shop. I scheduled an appointment with the owner for an artist at the shop and after driving an hour to the shop the artist had no idea why I was there and wasn’t even wanting to do my tattoo. I had already driven an hour so I settled for getting a small tattoo I had been wanting and I was way over charged for a pretty easy tattoo. The owner made several snide remarks about the tattoo I was getting and in general it was not a well run shop. They also never asked for an id or had me fill out any sort of paperwork. I’ll be sticking to my usual shop from now on.

Kika did our tattoos for the Friday the 13th event that they were having, and even after having over 150 people that day through the shop and staying for twelve hours, he was hilarious, had a fantastic attitude and added some really amazing special touches! We got three tattoos from the flash sheets, but he made all of them unique and like no one elses. My mom got her first ink today and she just cant stop talking about it! Kika is simply put fabulosity amazing!!!I came in from a referral from a good friend and asked about a very important tattoo...Thumbprint of my late son Cody as a memorial coming up to his one year Angelversary.!Kika absolutely rocked it!!
