I have visited twisted tattoo multiple times, all the paper work is simple and quick, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely continue to come here for all of my tattoos. I have had services done with Alexandria, Keith, Kristen and Raul and each of them are very understanding of what I was wanted and made sure to accommodate if I had any changes. Alexandria was super quick with the piercing and ensured I was happy with placement and took her time to go over aftercare with me.

Raul did a FANTASTIC job on my first ever tattoo. He not only delivered exactly what I wanted, but he was very friendly and professional throughout the process. Everyone I encountered at the shop was friendly and courteous. I will definitely return for another tattoo by Raul. I already referred a friend to Raul, to see about getting her tattoo done by him. The atmosphere of the shop is so fun! Henry is an amazing artist and extremely meticulous. My tattoo has a lot of words, and Henry made sure we looked it over about 1000 times before he put any ink on me. He made sure everything was perfect and turned out exactly how I wanted.I’m definitely going back soon!

Henry is a sick ass artist. He was so damn cool and improvised on what I needed. It came out so much better than what I was going to get and even talked me through all his steps. I’ve definitely found my artist is all of San Antonio. Way down to earth and a hell of an artist if I didn’t mention before.

Me and my two best friends did a walk-in for a total of 5 tattoos. We had Mauricio, and he was amazing. He was so funny and nice and we all had a good time. All of the employees were so nice to us. The small tattoos we got came out amazing, didnt hurt at all, and went by so fast! They also have a really cool outside area for smoking/vaping, fuseball, pool and seats with a fan, which was really nice to pass the time while they had to clean and sanitize in-between tattoos. 10/10 recommend 😊

Getting my first tattoo was months in making with design, placement, and finding a place I was comfortable with. I picked Twisted Tattoo because of the quality of artists and services they offer.I requested a quote online for the design I wanted, along with ombre powdered brows. The turnaround was quick, and I had appointments setup for both within day.For my tat, Angel went over everything shared his thoughts on modifications. Everything went great and it came out amazing.A few days later, I met with Kristen for my brows. During the appointment she explained both the mapping process and the shading. She listened to my input, and I loved the results.Definitely recommend Twisted Tattoo.

I haven’t have a tattoo done here, but rather I tried to.The girl I spoke to on the phone was perfectly pleasant, but once she sent me a text message for a reference photo, it seemed like everything we had talked about just went out the window.I was trying to schedule a cover-up with Keith, as I was referred to him by someone else *who had just had a tattoo covered up there*. However, I was never able to talk to him directly (which felt a bit pretentious on his part, regardless of how busy he may be), and instead, I was communicating second-hand through the girl. I realized quickly that my intentions weren’t really being relayed correctly, so ultimately I went to a different shop.Then today, I got a phone call from the shop owner asking to talk about my experience. Not only did he not actually ask about *my* experience, but right from the start he got defensive as to why they werent going to do a cover-up. This was oddly confusing given that they just did a cover-up for someone else. He claimed that it would leave to much scarring, and would take too long. However, this was never something that was addressed to me upon my inquiry, so why now?Not to mention, what good is this conversation to them? It felt like it was entirely one-sided, and the owner just wanted to have the last word.Although I never disclosed which shop I went to have the cover-up done (as to avoid any inter-shop contention), he said he saw the pictures of the work, which is a little bit creepy that he did that much investigating for something that (at the time) was insignificant. If he had that much time to dig through reviews of neighboring shops, why not give the same time to the customer when they are looking for your business?As someone who also once owned a business, I found it shocking that the owner effectively bad-mouthed the shop I went to. No matter how strongly you may feel about their ethics or practices, it only makes /you/ look bad.Ultimately, there was not even a simple Im sorry you werent happy with your experience with us -- which is the platform of good customer service (acknowledging the other sides view).

Love this place a lot! Second time coming here and Henry took care of my tattoos this time. Understood my vision and helped me get there. Can’t wait to come back again asap! ❤️

My brother and I got flower tattoos with Daniel. My tattoo was to cover up my self harm scars which has always been an insecurity of mine. They got back to me with a consult quickly and we’re very helpful in helping me decide what would conceal best and I thought the price was more than reasonable. I was nervous about it since it was my first tattoo and I didn’t know what to except. The staff was super friendly and Daniel was not only an amazing artist but made us feel super at home. They even have a kit to take home for aftercare for only ten dollars. As a tattoo noob, I appreciated that as well. Clean, friendly, fairly quick… I will definitely be returning when I decide it time to add another! I would more than recommend Twisted Tattoo and Daniel if you’re thinking of getting a tattoo.

I’ve been using twisted tattoo for over 2 years. So far, we’ve had piercings and tattoos done here. My 7 year old got her ears pierced here and I’ve had my smiley pierced. I’ve been tattooed by Kristen, Alex, and Esmee. Each experience has been amazing. The quality of my work is outstanding and I’m constantly being asked where I get my work done. I can’t recommend this place more! I will continue to return to this shop time and time again.

Good price for the quality, they do quick but amazing work, and are super flexible about the design. I came in as a walk in, and was quickly able to get a tattoo that looks amazing. My tattoo artist, Henry, was especially amazing. Super happy, I highly recommend

I took my daughter in to get her ears pierced after this place came highly recommended and I read tons of positive reviews. I really wanted needle piercing vs the gun because it’s supposed to be less tissue trauma and faster healing. The front desk staff and the piercer were all very kind and did an awesome job with getting us all set up and pierced. Where I had to knock off some starts were the earring selection and dated after care instructions. All the earrings we were shown had butterfly backs, which started a cascading of events that led to both her piercings getting infected. We had to go to urgent care and find a different tattoo shop (that’s an APP member) so she could get her earrings switched to flat back titanium. I had to educate myself on piercings during these events and I highly suggest doing so beforehand so you know what questions to ask and if it’s a place you’re comfortable with. I hope they get other earring options, especially for kids (and metal allergies) and use APP guidelines for informing clients on how to care for piercings.

I love it! I honestly just looked up tattoo places near me and Twisted Tattoo is what came up. I am really glad that I chose this tattoo shop. They are so professional first off. The staff were so kind and welcoming which is also amazing. It is nice and clean and there and it is just over all a welcoming environment. I really like their website because you can actually see the artist and the artists’ work before even going to the shop. Lydia’s work was what I was looking for and asked for her specifically. The day I went in, I was able to have a consultation with her which is great. She did AMAZING on my tattoo and it is exactly what I wanted!!! I am going back here when I get another tattoo. Honestly, Twisted Tattoo is great and if you’re wanting to get a tattoo please come here!!!

Went in and got my third earlobe pierced on both sides by Alex. One of the piercings was not pierced in the right area and so I left an initial review of 4/5 stars. Shortly after posting the review, the manager Maisie reached out to me to get it resolved. I called back and spoke with Maya who is also a manager at the shop. She let me come back in and get it corrected by her, as well as giving me a $40 credit on my account. I used the $40 credit for another piercing which she did during the same visit! She took her time and made me feel at ease. I really appreciate Maya and Maisie for going out of their way to ensure I was happy and everything was resolved. Its not very often you see shops reach back out to customers after their visit. My piercings look great and I am super happy!!

A friend recommended Twisted Tattoo so another friend and I came here to get her, her first tattoo. Everyone was so nice from the second we walked in for her appointment! I didnt have an appointment but they saw me as a walk in for an industrial piercing and the wait was short. Mya was quick and gentle while doing my piercing and explained what I should do for aftercare. Angel saw my friend for her tattoo and it looks amazing! We were in and out in thirty minutes and we both left very happy. :)

Denise is the best tatoo artist I have ever known! I am a 9 year breast cancer survivor. I was sad I had a scar and no nipple on my left breast. Yet I feel blessed to be alive! Denise was from the get go made me feel so comfortable. She did amazing work in covering up my scar and creating a real looking nipple. All for free! I came in with no appointment with my cousin. Everyone was so accommodating and able to draw up our designs to our specifications. We had Rudy tattoo us and he was amazing. Incredibly kind and fast with the tattoos. Every one who was working was insanely nice and made us feel at home. Even taking photos after the tattoos were done was a lot of fun. I came to this shop in February due to the great following on social media as well as the posts that draw you in.Not only did I come I brought family members with me from out of state.We decided to get piercings. The piercer was Alexandria.She acted as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. She was not friendly at all. She also would not give her opinion when asking if the marks she made look straight.I definitely was surprised by this as their videos on social media they all seem very friendly.The guy we spoke with when we came in was very polite. Definitely would not recommend going for piercings with Alexandria.

100/10 would recommend! Absolutely astonishing. I did not know a tattoo place would be so clean, organized, communicative and friendly. I was nervous to get my first tattoo there but Paco did an excellent job, so much so I got my next tattoo 2 weeks later with Matt who did my ghost rider piece and it looks badass! Absolutely love it here, I plan to be a loyal customer and refer anyone who wants a tattoo here. C9rrect me If Im wrong but from what I understand, they also provide free touch ups as long as it isnt self inflicted or destroyed by your own doing. Regardless, I would support this place no matter what. They have great prices compared to other places and if it seems expensive, its because they take extra good care if you. To me its worth the money 100%. Excellent artists, clean, very tidy; sweet, kind, communicative (online and in person) and beautiful receptionists. A++ all around. Love it. Cant wait to get my other 7 tattoos lol.

Revised: The owner called back almost immediately after posting the original review and guaranteed a free touch up for both my sister and I. He was very thorough and reassuring about reviewing best practices. I will definitely be returning to the shop! ❤️Not the best experience. My sister and I went to get matching tattoos and, although the pricing was fair, we were not made aware of our artist’s length of experience or that we would be expected to adhere to a timeframe.While the service was excellent and our artist did try their best and worked with us the entire way through, the quality of our tattoos definitely suffered because of their declining health during the session. We did not believe the business should have let her tattoo that day. She was visibly and audibly ill.

I had my eyebrows ombre powder by KRISTEN and let me tell you, shes amazing at what she does, and i had my first ever dermalb with DENISE and she was so kind and gentle even though the dermal is not an easy piercing.

I got my septum pierced by Alex and let me tell you she was very professional and made sure the position of my piercing was aligned and made sure i liked it, she was very clean and when I started to panic she was very nice as to try and reassure me it would only take a second and would only feel a pinch, I would definitely recommend going to her, she is friendly, clean and knowledgeable.Definitely will be coming back to her.

Matt is the man! He’s an awesome artist and an amazing Christian man! He’s room is very calm and comfortable with crosses on the wall and Christian music playing. My first time experiencing this in a tattoo studio and so glad I chose Matt to do this piece in remembrance of my mom! I’ll def be coming back for more work from Matt his realism skills are on point. I’d give him 5 Stars, highly recommend!As far as the studio the only reason I’m giving them 4 stars is because of their scheduling/payment policy. When you book an appointment they schedule you and charge you for the estimated time the artist thinks it will take to complete the tattoo. They then want 1/2 of that amount up front to make the appointment. Then when you come in for the appointment before you even get the tattoo they want you to pay the remaining 1/2 of the estimated price. This is strange to me and the first place I’ve ever been that operates like this. So when the artist quotes 5 hours and the session only takes 4 hours it then becomes awkward when you have to ask for a refund for that extra hour you already paid for. Then they want to give you $100 store credit for that hour when you just paid $175 an hour for the tattoo. Not counting the $50 tip. But it is what it is, my only complaint is the payment process. My suggestion would be to keep everything the way it is except the part where the customer has to pay the remaining amount before the tattoo. How about let them get the tattoo and then charge them for the amount of time it actually took once complete.

Denise is amazing! She truly is an angel. I went to her for scar/stretch mark removal and tattoo removal. She truly has the heart of gold. The scar and stretch marks I’ve dealt with for years took a toll on my mental health. After two treatments of dry needling, I feel so much more confident. The smaller stretch marks are completely gone and the more deeper ones are hardly there. Very affordable and worth the money. This summer I will be more confident showing my body again. Gabe is a talented artist with a light hand. I brought in a picture of what I wanted but I asked for a little modification to it and he drew something up that was beyond my expectations. Very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. He finished my tattoo pretty fast. The prices are very reasonable and they offer discounts for military. Which cut the price a lot but i just ended up giving Gabe a bigger tip in the end for how great he was. The shop itself was clean and well designed. I loved how each artist had their individual room. Definitely going to make more appointments in the future. It was well worth the 3 hour drive to see him.

If I was a Tattoo Artist - this would DEF be the place where I would want to work at! This place looks waaaaay bigger than what it looks like from the outside. I love each artist have their own private rooms where their personalities reflect! Their names are posted on the outside which gives it a personal touch. All the artist are fun and friendly!Anyway, came here back in January for the Friday the 13th deals. They were very organized and the process was very smooth. I have many tattoos already, little bangers is just all what I need now. If they have another Friday the 13th event - I’m definitely going!

So I came here around beginning of February for a belly button piercing. As soon as I went into the room she began marking my belly button and I did look at it and at first I was concerned it was crooked and asked her to readjust and basically also said it was the way my belly button is. I went to a different place to get it checked cause it was starting to really hurt and swell. Apparently I don’t have the right anatomy for the kind of barbell she used and it was pierced very shallow. I feel like this could’ve been avoided if my piercer Alex cared a little bit more to tell me. To make things worse I also went with friends and they also had to remove their piercings cause one was crooked and my other friend she got a helix and a tragus and her piercings came with butterfly backs and told her to loosen the back after 30 mins after we left. They do pretty cool tattoos but piercings not their thing.

We wanted to make our Texas trip memorable and twisted tattoos was able to make that memory last forever. They were great, professional, very clean, and the artists are talented. My artist was Rudy he knocked out the park for me I provided an idea and he was able sketch a longhorn so elegantly but when he finished it was better than I ever expected. My hubby had Henry who was able to be so awesome and talented in a way to provided great suggests as well his skills to present you this great tattoo for him. I saw James, the owner of the shop for consultation, he gave me a good price for my tattoo. Fyi: Who ever you did consultation they are the one doing your tattoo. He did great, thou, he do have a heavy hand. I had many tattoos and his was the heaviest, (honest review). This tattoo place is pathology certified. Meaning they handle there equipment, body fluid aka blood and sweat very well. They even check temperature and ask question for covid-19 for symptoms. Very safe, clean and friendly environment! Will be coming back and will recommend this place!

Ive been to this shop before and really liked it. However, the process to get a quote and a tattoo is incredibly complicated. I previously submitted a picture of the tattoo i wanted along with the location and size and still felt like i was getting the run around. Because after I called, I still wasnt able to speak to the artist. I was told to submit everything (again) for a quote and to schedule an appt for which I have to pay a deposit first. I didnt mind the deposit but I really wanted to speak to the artist and get a feel for him but seemed like unless you made an appointment and paid the deposit, that wasnt a possibility.UPDATE*****I received a call from James, the owner and he asked that I talk about the situation above. Long story short...he listened to my concerns and asked that I come in for a no obligation consult. After meeting him and expressing my thoughts I made an appt. Needless to say, he went above and beyond. I got a tatto for my dog, who recently passed away. It was so beautiful and emotional that I cried. I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank you so much for listening and empathizing. After all of this I had to change my review to 5 stars. Wouldve given more if I could❤️

Fresh Ink!! My husband and I had our old, upper back, double happiness tattoos refreshed! We originally had them done when we got married (over 17 years ago), but Yoma made them look better than they ever did!! I went 1st, and we were so excited about how mine looked, that we forgot to take a pic of my husbands until after she did her sketch over it! Lol! But his looked just as bad as mine! The shop was very nice, excellent customer service from everyone we encountered, and Yoma was AMAZING!! We couldnt be more pleased, and we already have an appointment for our next tattoos!!

Mya is amazing! She did my nostril piercing and she did such a good job, there was minimal pain and my piercing healed great! My friends and I will definitely be back for more piercings and definitely for tattoos! Everyone at this location is great!

It was very clean and my piercer was very nice but after research they pierced my ears with butterfly backs which I heard is the worst for your healing process as well as pierced my nose with a very short bar, ive gotten my other nostril pierced with a longer bar previously from another tattoo shop with a longer nose stud and it was easy to clean and healed amazingly. Im a bit scared for this one although ill wait it out I don’t recommend this place for piercings because of their jewelry

Matt is a great artist he was quick with finishing up my tattoo and personally it wasn’t painful at all and I didn’t even use numbing cream. I would definitely recommend getting any tattoo work done by Matt.

After I submitted the form, Tiara got back to me within 30 minutes with the quote. Our appointments were booked and confirmed with artist Daniel within an hour of submitting our price quote form. I love how easy it was to do everything online and through text! The shop is extremely helpful and responsive which separates this business from the rest. I wanted to change a few things about our tattoo so I called the studio asking when I could discuss the details with Daniel and they gave me his schedule for the entire week and welcomed me to come in whenever he was working. I went in and saw Daniel and he immediately saw me so we could chat. I definitely recommend that y’all book him because he truly is a sweetheart and is very great at what he does.As for the rest of the tattoo shop, they were all amazing and friendly as well. They made my first tattoo experience one I will never forget. And I appreciate all of the hard work they do!!

This place is my go-to! Every single time Ive walked in Ive only ever been greeted by great customer service. I have had three tattoos created here, and one tattoo fixed from a previous experience at a different shop. The tattoo artists are genuine and will tell you which artists they recommend based on what art style youre truly wanting. Rudy, Denise and Keith have all worked on me and have done an amazing job bringing my visions to life! Im always comfortable and calm here. I will continue to go back.
