Nothing Sacred Tattoo

Miguel, Julian and Jake were fabulous! My family and I came in late on a Friday evening and Miguel greeted us right away. He showed us qr codes that link to each of the tattoo artists’ work. This was super helpful and allowed us to see whose style matched with the designs we were considering. There was no pressure, they gave us all the time we needed, answered our questions and offered us snacks and drinks.We made appointments for two days later as they were very accommodating to our scheduled activities.The day of our appointments, we had a blast! They made us all feel so comfortable with just the right amount of talking (while working the whole time). There was so much laughter and chill convo! Not to mention, our tattoos came out just the way we envisioned and they were completed much faster than we had anticipated. It was also Miguel’s birthday (the artist that did my tattoo) and since we had such an amazing time, we asked them all to take a picture with us. We were thrilled when they agreed!

My first experience with Dee was truly a core memory when it comes to tattoos. I came across Dees account and shop during a late night impulsive search to find a new artist for custom pieces. After one conversation and inspo pics, Dee provided everything and so much more in my first tattoo done by her. I continue to see her regularly for an arm sleeve. Her fine line art is so detailed, she never misses. Im going to be so sad when I leave SD but I look forward to visiting just to get some new art!

10/10. I absolutely love this shop, had a stellar fern tattoo done by Julia (@badlildiva.tattoo). I felt so comfortable and welcomed, and the whole environment felt like I was at a good friend’s house. Julia was able to work with me to fit my budget and preferences so I felt super comfortable going forward, not to mention her portfolio is next level. I will certainly be going back here again, and I will recommending this great shop, and the talented and knowledgeable Julia, to anyone who’s looking for high quality work in San Diego

I did not feel great at the end of my appointment. While everyone in the shop was very kind, I felt like my artist was rushing to finish. I have never had a tattoo finish that quickly. Instead of being a detailed and shaded piece, it came out way more blacked out and messier than I wanted :(When it was finished he put the second skin on in such a way that within 10 minutes I was bleeding on the sleeve of my shirt and started to hurt bad. I really wouldnt say this as a critique except for the fact that another client had come in DURING my appointment to ask for another second skin patch since his was bleeding down his leg. I would not really want to come back here after that experience.

My spouse and I went to get matching Joshua Tree tattoos, and we are thrilled with how they turned out! Dee was great to work with, quick, light-handed, and very skilled. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Next time we’re in San Diego, we’ll be back! Thanks again!!

My friend and I went in as walk ins and they were able to create exactly what we were wanting. Karen did amazing fine line floral work! Karen made my first tattoo experience awesome.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this shop. I wanted to get my first tattoo and after a lot of research I landed on Dee over at Nothing Sacred in downtown. I had no idea about the tattoo process going into it and Dee immediately responded, answering all my questions in a welcoming me in a professional way. Upon arrival, the staff was extremely kind and discussed my tattoo design in detail. I wanted a few changes to the initial tattoo design Dee provided and they were happy to hear my feedback and make the changes. I was nervous and shaky during the tattoo but Dee was still able to draw perfect lettering that looked machine-like in precision and never even mentioned my shakiness. I’m so glad I chose Dee for my first tattoo and can’t imagine going anywhere else. Impeccable tattoo, impeccable vibes. You won’t regret Nothing Sacred!

A great place to get exactly the tattoo you want. I recommend Diana to everyone. She consulted me and we were able to choose the perfect sketch for me, after which Dee made this tattoo in a way that no one else would have made it. I am very pleased with this master and tattoo studio, we agreed that we will make me a sleeve.

It was OK. The artist was nice, but didnt do so well with her linework. Im too far away or id return for it to be fixed. Edit: the tattoo is 3 weeks old, this isnt a result of fading.

Great staff, clean space. owner was a sweet lady. Tattoo artist J offered me water or soda. My son loved his new tattoo. I will go back soon to get a cute tattoo. A wonderful tattoo studio. pleasant atmosphere and the best staff. I came to get a small tattoo and was completely satisfied. Dee got me a tattoo quickly and very efficiently, explained how properly care for a tattoo and advised me on tattoo care products. I was completely satisfied with my visit.

I have maybe +25 tattoos at this point and I think 6 or more of them are from this shop.one of the few shops in San Diego that isnt trying to rip you off (hey tourists!), upfront about their prices, and emphasizes Its YOUR body, its YOUR tattoo, well do it how YOU want it done. Another good thing is they can do almost any kind of style here, so theres no Oh sorry, we only do American traditional or we only do sailor Jerry theyll do whatever you want, however you want, and it will look good and heal nicely. Also, a lot of shops spend a long time and try to trick you its so it comes out perfect but really theyre just running down the clock so you pay more/per hour. Here they work pretty fast which saves you money, but more importantly, the less trauma to your skin, the better your art will heal. Pictures attached are all ones Ive gotten from this shop only

Just got a tattoo done with Julia. Asked for dainty point shoes on my ankle. She executed it so well. Better than the original picture I showed her. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Her work is so precise and so amazing. Not to mention I was being difficult and she was so patient with me and nonjudgmental. She just made sure I liked it and I could not ask for anything better. If you want a fine line tattoo done, I would definitely go get it done with her 🙏🏻. Thank you Julia!!!!!!

I am so happy about the Tattoo that I had done by Reuben! I was referred by my daughter who has had numerous tattoos done by him and she highlyrecommended him!! I am so happy with the results! I definitely will be back to see Reuben!

Me and a few friends were looking to get some work done and we couldn’t decide on where to go but we heard about Nothing sacred tattoos so we gave it a shot and they were everything we were looking for. I’m in love with my new arm sleeve and my friends also love there new pieces as well. I will come here every time I need work done and I recommend that anybody should do the same if you want good service and respectful people who are going to make sure that you get the results you want than this is the place to go. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

The vibes in here was so chill and cute 💖🖤 Diana was lovely and the place is full of talent!! They are really accommodating and making sure youre comfortable through the whole process!

I have been coming to this shop for about two years now. A friend of mine recommended going to Dee, and since then I have been going to her only. Shes such an amazing tattoo artist and the sweetest person in general. Literally have not gone to anyone else BUT her since I met her. She listens to all my ideas and hypes me up for them too. Definitely found my go to person for all tattoos. Ive gotten 5 tattoos from this shop so far and have not been disappointed at all. I also got my n!ppies pierced here too, and have healed great.

A wonderful experience! staff is talented, friendly and helpful - they took our large group as a walk-in and were so quick and efficient.

I would give 0/5 stars if possible. I received a septum piercing from this business 3 days ago. It’s my fault as I should have aborted the procedure prior to the piercing. Today, three days after my piercing was done I had it assessed at a studio here in Oregon because I could tell something was not right. The ring used for the initial piercing was much too tight. It was causing pulling on the septum and the small ball on the loop was causing a pressure sore on the outside of my nose. I had to have the entire ring replaced. The piercing professional here in Oregon states that the jewelry used for my piercing in California is actually illegal here in Oregon d/t the threading being on the outside of the ring versus internal. The piercer at your facility also did not clean my nose well prior to piercing (again, I should have stopped him there). He did a very short dab with an alcohol swab. Being a nurse I know this is incorrect and proceeded anyways d/t nerves and anxiety Per the opinion received in Oregon the piercing was also done too low and actually pierced the hard cartilage of my septum. The initial aftercare instructions received at your facility were also vague and subpar. Who knew you are suppose to actually wash the saline rinse off after you apply it! No wonder my nose is so dry! I also felt I was being judged while asking questions prior to my piercing. Jokingly one of the other workers asked if I was going to ask my piercer if he washed his hands while smiling. I cannot take back this experience but hope it can be better for the next person. I would recommend this facility facilitate an environment for the customer to feel comfortable asking more questions and providing better and more clear aftercare instructions. I also hope the piercer chooses better fitting jewelry on the next person. I do not currently recommend this business for piercing. D/t choosing your business for my first body piercing my recovery will take longer than average and I have higher potential now to have serious complications.

Was so hyped to get my finger tattoos!! Thought I picked a great professional artist but after my apt was rescheduled due to illness I had a bad feeling and should have listened to my gut and cancelled all together. 2 weeks later, and overpriced tattoos...the lines have all disappeared, it literally looks like my 2 year old nephew drew on my fingers with a dead pen!! When I reached out to the artist, she placed the blame on me, even after I did and bought everythingshe recommended. When I reached out to the shop directly, they also pushed the blame on me saying the artists always ask 1000 questions for finger tattoos...I was asked NO questions by my artist except Why did I want finger tattoos! If the artist had concerns about doing finger tattoos, she should have spoken up as she is supposed to be the professional! Do your research people, and from what I can see from other reviews....if your visiting San Diego dont go here, as youll most likely need several touch ups!

My girlfriend and I decided to get spontaneous tattoos while we were in San Diego and Luis & Julia did an absolutely amazing job. Their fine lines and attention to detail make all the difference and we could be happier.

I am very disappointed with my tattoo. The tattoo artist was not very responsive and did not talk much. It was my first tattoo and it was a rush decision that I wanted to have a memory of my visit to San Diego. I didn’t realize there but as my tattoo settled, the lines are not even and not even straight. I just wanted some lines to illustrate sun light rays however it looked very disorganized, not even and not kind. Some lines were faded others very thick, the very middle one is not completely straight. Very bad experience for the first tattoo… and the tattoo artist was not trying to answer my questions and help me through- I guess I missed the signal to get away fromThis shop. Now I have to get it removed because looking at it everyday just makes me sad.

I am a 74 year old gal and into my 2nd year of breast cancer recovery.After my 3 surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments, I wanted to find a way to convey the importance of mammograms and regular checkups. I decided on a tattoo and got it today.Thank you to Leo for his patience with me during this process.And having had no experience with tattoos, I was impressed with this very clean little shop as well as the care shown to me.Yes ... go here ... client care, wonderful artists and very reasonable pricing.

They charged me 200 for 2 super tiny tattoos… i go to check them and the lines are crooked beyond belief and not even connected all the way. my very first tattoos and they were ruined. don’t recommend booking with chris if you want them to come out nice.

While visiting San Diego my sister and I wanted to get sibling tattoos. Based on reviews and the images of the work we saw from this shop, we decided to get them done here. We were able to do a walk in with $100 minimum (same as the other 4 shops we called). Leo and the other woman (didn’t get her name) who did our tattoos were friendly, skilled, clean, and efficient.

I’ve gotten 3 tattoos by D! She’s great and sociable, even took time to correct some of my existing tattoos that would overlap with the piece she was doing. Her work is consistent and clean and I’ll continue to get tattooed here!

Louie did a fantastic job on my tattoo. It was my first time getting one. Im 23, female, and it was virtually painless. I got it behind my right shoulder. Its about the size of a hand palm. I asked for a realistic puzzle peice thats been carved out of my skin and it looks incredible. Louie was very professional and informative about after care. A job well done needless to say. 100% recommended. Also, my tattoo picture is on Louies insta. Thanks😃✌️🧩.

Out of town for a special weekend I planned on getting a piercing for my daughter. Walked in (open sign on) stared at by 2 employees. After studdering with no answer to my question they told me they were not open yet. I told them the door is unlocked and your sign says open, no business hours were listed. We had lunch and returned. After telling the gentleman I wanted a piercing for my daughter, filling out their horrible out dated form and giving him my ID, he has to call the owner to find out if the can do it because she is not 18. The owner turned us down stating it is California law which is untrue. Minor with consent can have a nose piercing. Poor customer service, lack of interpersonal skill, barely understanding English. Im sure the business response to this will be how can I review without a service. I feel the need to let people know it felt uncomfortable from the start. After the experience, I am glad we did not proceed with a service. Thank you for turning us away.

I was a walk in and received great customer service and help by artist Deana. She was very helpful and took her time sketching me a nice back piece . I ended up completing a 8 hour session the next day.Shop was very clean definitely would recommend for others to go if they want a great quality tattoo and great customer service

Todd is my favorite tattoo artist ever. I live in Seattle. When I need tattoo work done, I have to first book a flight. Worth it! I wouldnt go anywhere else.Quality work. Terrible sense of humor. The lady at the front has an attitude. Smart mouth as ever and lazy because she has to walk back and fourth from shops. Leo, Leo, Leo. So he was very nice and accommodating at first. We met at the shop told him what we wanted he ever told us where some bars were and told us to come back In an hour, we left, called the tall girl at the from and Leo said give him about 30-45 more minutes. We called to be sure because we know how long tattoos can take and didn’t want to rush. Lady gave me attitude because I was calling to make sure, plus who wants to waist money on a lyft. We got there 5 minutes after the 45 minute time range she gave us and Leo was fine. Had things ready, but it was not what we wanted to have done. Was not close to the pictures we sent so when we started to give him adjustments he got an attitude got irritated.

I scheduled my tattoo with Dee and it was exactly what I wanted. My husband went as a walk in and they nailed it. I’ll be coming back for more tattoos here

Fast and friendly, just overpriced. Got a finger tattoo and was charged $200 after communicating through Instagram that it would be around $150.

My buddy got a tattoo there, and I loved the work and how clean the shop was that I went back the next day and got one as well! Great guys and definitely deserve a 5 star in my books.

My husband and I, on our honeymoon in San Diego, decided to get a tattoo as a souvenir. I found this tattoo studio on the internet looking for the one closest to us. The studio was two blocks from our hotel, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by Leo, a very kind guy who after a chat (in Spanish because my husband luckily speaks Spanish 🤣) we opted to get a tattoo of two four-leaf clovers 🍀 with his initial. The tattoo artist Leo was really clean, precise, kind and very good. Highly recommended!👍🏻
