Recently came in to re-open my septum piercing but ended my night before going underway with a new tattoo and piercing. Everyone in the shop was friendly and Eddie did an amazing job with the last minute silly goose tattoo. Definitely will be trusting him with more random tattoos in the future and hopefully something bigger and better.

Got my first tattoo here! Eric my artist was amazing, he listened to my ideas and helped make something I was proud to have on my body. He was really patient and reassured me through the whole process, even when I needed to take breaks he was really comforting and understanding. These are some really good people here and I’m glad that I came her for my first tattoo experience!

I wanted to get a second lobe piercing on both ears and just walked-in without an appointment Saturday afternoon. Had a great experience with Danny; he was super nice and efficient while ensuring any questions I had were answered. Price was also very fair compared to other piercing shops I’d gotten a quote from. They also had a nice selection of titanium grade jewelry included in the price of the piercing. I was out in 15 minutes with a virtually painless piercing. Jake was an amazing tattoo artist, and very sociable, I was there for 8 hours for my mom’s tattoo and my tattoo. Majority of that was conversation with an amazing dude. Would high recommend Jake to anyone who needs new ink!

Came in for a quick tattoo by Ron. He was super friendly, professional, and talented!! I came in wanting a 2” palm tree, and he didn’t disappoint. He freestyle hand drew it and it came out amazing, and was only 20 minutes!! All my friends were so shocked how good and fast it was! Definitely coming back!!

This place was great, I had Danny piercing my one cartilage, and my second lobe piercing. Danny did a great job, I was nervous, and had me take deep breaths, and made sure all of the earrings where going to say there. The prices are vary reasonable and the jewelry is super cute. Would absolutely recommend!

When i came into the store they were hella friendly. my tattoo artist was eddie he was helpful with giving me ideas of what i wanted we eventually decided on a snake wrapped around a sword. pretty sanitary making sure everything was wrapped in plastic. it was my first tattoo so he briefed me on what it’s gonna be like. the tattoo took like three hours with breaks. over all a pretty chill experience. coming back after my training to get another price done.

Danny was personal and had answers to my concern. My sister got a daith piercing and I had the helix piercing. Both look cute and the procedure was fast. Mine is healing nicely. I would to go him again for piercings.

Eddie talked to me when I was just cruising down the street and was such a cool dude I decided to cancel an appointment for new ink somewhere else and go to him. The atmosphere is dope and they made me feel relaxed the whole time. The leg piece I got is taking a few sessions but the pricing is compared to the work isn’t even close. The work is the top in San Diego and the pricing is competitive across the board with everywhere else. Love these guys and Eddie has became my permanent artist

This was my first tattoo and I am loving it! I was visiting San Diego from Alaska and wanted to bring home a piece of it with me because I love it there. My auntie and I stepped in and I was like, “I want a tattoo but I don’t know what”, haha. Bug was very accommodating and kindly shared his art and ideas based off my story. We kept in touch as I thought about it the next few days and I made a consultation appointment when I decided on a concept. I told him I wanted 3 flowers: a rose, forget-me-not, and poppy, and showed him some photos. I knew I wanted it on my forearm, and that was about it. He showed me a style he was seeing in his vision, and I got to watch his creativity get to work. I came back in a half hour while he finished creating the design, and loved it! In addition to being a talented artist, Bug is a good host and a professional. This experience was superb start to finish. Thanks Bug! 10/10

Most flawless easy tattoo experience of my 13 tattoos I have, Jake was amazing and really took time to make sure I had what I wanted as where other shops I have felt rushed and that’s not a great feeling when you are getting something permanent done.The shop is clean and laid back and Jake is a really easy person to talk to as where most artists the conversation feels forced, the work came out great and will definitely be getting more work done soon, check them out!

Been wanting a tribute to my Irish heritage for some time. Was fortunate that Eddie was available when I walked in without an appointment. The studio is very clean and well maintained. Eddie and I worked together to find and select the right design. Eddie was very professional and the whole process from the moment I sat down took less than 30 minutes. VERY happy with the finished product and will certainly go back to Eddie again if I want another and won’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone!!

I had an idea of the tattoo I wanted prior to going but I did not have a good example of it. In fact, the example I brought was far from what I was envisioning in my mind. Eddie did a great job of patiently showing me designs until we found the one that was in my head. I love the result. It’s elegant and artistic and was done with great care.

Took my son to get his first tattoo for his 18th birthday. Best customer service. Jake was amazing with my son and made sure that my son was happy with his tattoo drawing before getting started. I got a naval piercing with the help of Danny and he did a great job. He made sure the piercing was placed nicely, made it so that the piercing wont look crooked, + made sure I was satisfied with the outcome. The process of filling out the forms, picking out 3 of my jewelry, and Danny setting up his station took no more than 10 mins. We love an efficient king. When he brought me to the back, he took his time with placement for all 3 of my piercings and was patient as well as attentive to my questions. My friends came along with me so we were all cracking jokes and he matched the vibe which made the experience so much more enjoyable and memorable for me. He’s also great to talk to during the experience, which helps keep your brain busy. We have plans for future pieces and I’m really stoked to have him add on to my collection :)

I had a great experience here and with Niko. I randomly walked in with my sister and baby and wanted to get a scorpion. Niko was very accommodating and super nice and calm. He was cool to me and my sister (who ended up getting a tattoo as well) and my child. He was an awesome artist and I absolutely LOVE the piece I got from him. Piercer sucks. Called to talk about purchasing a navel piercing- after discussing options for 10 minutes the piercer shares his professional Instagram for me to send out jewelry items I’m interested in only for him to block and ghost me. Unprofessional and rude. Don’t recommend.

My friends and I came in to get some piercings done; the piercer was on his way out but he decided to do all of our piercings and took his time on each of us! My friend was feeling a bit faint after her piercings and he was really professional, he got her something sugary to eat and drink and made sure we all knew how to take care of our new piercings and that our friend was okay before we left. Id highly recommend this place if youre thinking of getting any piercings done. I personally got my conch done; it was absolutely painless and the placement looks great.

Got snakebites here yesterday. danny was super chill, nice and accomodated me when i told him i have back problems and might have trouble sitting back up from laying down. i had a really good experience given these were my first professional piercings.he was also super clean (used equipment fresh from the package) and changed his gloves often.

Great experience from start to finish. Danny made me feel welcome as a walk-in, had a good selection of jewelry (and exactly what I had wanted!), was wonderful to work with, and looked at my inspo pictures for the “hidden helix” piercing I wanted. He made sure that the third lobe piercing was spaced right and that the helix piercing fell just right. Practically painless, clean, and friendly. I really appreciated the entire experience. I got my tattoo from Cam and he was really amazing in speed and ability. This was my first tattoo and the line work and shading were really great! There was a lot of communication to make sure I got what I wanted and the process was super easy and fun! The shop itself had a great atmosphere and they were able to take me and my friends in as walk ins!

Took my teenager here to get his ears pierced. Danny was amazing, took his time to make sure they were even and the piercings themselves, now 2.5 weeks later, look really good.Also talked to Ivan about a tattoo. Super nice and was able to put it together in a way I never would have considered. I will definitely be going back for work in the very near future.Overall, the experience at the shop was amazing and I definitely recommend.

My husband and I were in San Diego for our anniversary (we live in Arizona) and decided to get matching tatoos to celebrate the occasion. This was my first tattoo! Nick was our tattoo artist and did an amazing job! We showed him a photo of what we wanted and he replicated it exactly.Actually, he made it better by cleaning it up and making the puzzle pieces look like they belong together. The sizes were a little off in the picture. Thanks Nick! We will be back again!!

Danny is the absolute best!! Ive been wanting my industrial piercing for years now and finally worked up the courage to go do it, came in as a walk-in and he was very welcoming. He took the time to judge the anatomy of my ear to decide if an industrial piercing would be best, he took the time to walk me through his concerns and made the whole experience comfortable. The piercing itself was nowhere near as painful as I thought, he was quick and thorough and is genuinely the best piercer I have ever been to. He is definitely the guy to hit up for all your piercing needs!!

Everyone seemed pretty chill, I got a small tattoo done. Jake and Nick were super helpful with the sizing and placement. Will definitely visit them again if I take a trip back to San Diego.

I got my first tattoo with the artist Bug at Grimmrose. The whole experience was great! The place was clean and he is super talented. I was a little nervous, but he talked me through the whole process. He was very professional and so nice. He explained what position and size on my ankles the tattoos would look best. (I got a sun and a moon) I trusted his artistic opinion about the shading and layout. The other artists in the shop agreed with exactly what he was saying and made me feel extra confident about getting one. Overall Im obsessed with how they turned out. They are so beautiful!

Cameron did an excellent job on mine & my husbands tattoos. He was friendly & the whole visit was filled with laughs & a good time! He was really professional & listened to my concerns & was not at all bothered when I asked for areas to be fixed. 10/10 would recommend this place! I went to see Danny at San Diego Tattoo Company after having a bad experience at a different shop in San Jose. He was so knowledgable and kind, and helped me remove the poorly placed piercing from a different shop. I went back to see him a few weeks later to have him redo my upper helix, and it turned out beautiful. The placement was just what I wanted and he was super kind through the whole process. It has been healing great. I am planning to go back to Danny for all my future piercings. Highly recommend!

I went to San Diego Tattoo company about a month ago to get my first ear piercings and I had a great experience. The shop was clean and professional and their piercer Danny is the man! He was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had plus he gave me clear instructions on how to care for the piercings while they heal. This is my second year visiting Grimmrose Tattoo. Danny their piercer did a great job in communicating with me clearly and making this a super easy process. I was a bit nervous about my conch and tragus piercings, but thanks to Danny’s care I relaxed fairly quickly. The process was quick, accurate, and safe. Danny was quick to give his professional opinion on location of piercings and I’m so thankful because I love how they turned out! I have complete trust in Danny’s piercings and will return next year for more!
