Laughing Buddha Seattle

Ive been to Laughing Buddha twice now to see Colin. First for ear stretching and jewelry insert, another for septum piercing and nostril/nose jewelry insert. I love the atmosphere of this place. It is a clean, upscale establishment. The customer service has been outstanding from both the front counter (when picking out jewelry) and Colin. I really recommend this place and Colin specifically. I drive an hour to go here because I really appreciate the environment and knowledgable staff.

I got around 6+ ear piercings done here and it is by far one of my best experiences. I got pierced by Colin and my piercings are healing super quickly and well. Colin was also super patient with me while choosing where I wanted exactly my piercings done and he was great at explaining all the aftercare.The studio also has a great jewelry selection and the staff is super friendly and helpful when choosing the pieces.I will highly recommend this studio.

I got my septum pierced by Colin and he did a phenomenal job. He explained things thoroughly from beginning to end.While my septum has been healing nicely, the ring was too small for my nose. A quick appointment free of charge to get me the right size was all it took to get me looking and feeling my best.I would recommend Colin to anyone looking to get their first real piercing.

I got an eyebrow piercing from this place and it was one of the most efficient, customer friendly, professional and safe places Ive gone to. My piercer, Lil Jon nailed the placement and i had absolutely no bleeding, bruising, irritation or even swelling a couple days after the piercing. He was super chill with questions and recommended I call the business as opposed to looking stuff up on the internet, which made the whole experience feel personal and caring. Wonderful staff, great results, and overall welcoming place. 10/10 would recommend.

Laughing Buddha has always been great to me. I have used them several times over the years for tattoo and piercing services.The shop has a very hip and peaceful vibe about it. I really like it. Every station is impeccably clean, the shop is clean, and they have fantastic jewelry that they have on sale there as well. I will warn you, their prices for jewelry and services are not cheap, but you are paying for the quality! Also, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I felt very welcomed here. I really appreciated that.The staff is always super nice and friendly. They are always willing to answer questions for me, and alleviate my concerns. I have had both my nose pierced, ears pierced, and an arm tattoo done here. They all turned out great. The tattoo artist that I had no longer works in Seattle, sadly, but my piercers for my nose and ears were Colin and Lil John. They were both great. They knew I was anxious and they were great about alleviating concerns.Overall, I definitely recommend Laughing Buddha for your tattoo and piercing needs. I have had great experiences there, and I plan on going back for more services in the future.

Went in to see Colin for our first piercings (left ear lobe, and septum). Was just beyond friendly, comforting, and professional with going over the entire process, making sure everything was sanitized, and of course the piercing process itself. Like, just cant recommend Colin enough with the gentle touch had.Endless good vibes to the folk at the front desk for helping me find just the right piercings.

I couldn’t be more happy with my experience! Lynn pierced me and I was very nervous but they made me feel at ease and feel very comfortable with the whole process. The staff were also sweet and helpful picking out jewelry and checking out. Definitely recommend laughing Buddha and Lynn!

I absolutely love this shop. Hands down my favorite one I’ve been to by far. Everything from the location, to the interior, up to date tech, music, jewelry, and the very welcoming staff’s professionalism exceeded my expectations. I got my helix pierced here and I appreciated how the piercer carefully and thoughtfully planned out my piercings, walked me through the process before and during the procedure, and made sure to check in with me to see how I was feeling. I do plan on returning, and to anyone considering getting any piercings or tattoos done, please go here! You will not be disappointed!

(Piercing was done in mid February 2024)I have wanted my nose pierced for literal decades. After reading up on other reviews and practices, I decided to make the appointment. I was beyond terrified, but the front staff made me feel at ease picking jewelry that I would be wearing for potentially a year. As I live in Alaska, coming down and changing my mind wasnt an option. I needed to change out my jewelry after an unrelated incident and the staff was so helpful and helped me to trouble shoot some options. It would have been very easy for them to say too bad, so sad. During the appointment Colin gently and calmly talked his way through the procedure which was EXACTLY what I needed. And at the end HE thanked ME for trusting him!!I 100% recommend this place! It is very calm and welcoming to those of us who are unsure of what the expectations are or how to go about this.I 120% recommend Colin and I hope to be able to go back and see him again now that I am not afraid.Thank you all!!!

Im so happy with my experience with Laughing Buddha. They have amazing COVID precautions, the front area staff was very nice and welcoming.Erin Ashleigh was amazing! I loved working with her! I look forward to my tattoo getting finished and planning another tattoo with her at some point. She was extremely professional, a great conversationalist and kept me calm the whole time. I have really bad anxiety and Im as worried Id be a mess, but I was so comfortable with her I felt barely any anxiety at all which is huge.I am an extremely happy customer and look forward to going back soon.Update: Tattoo is now done and Im totally in love. She has amazing color saturation and the tattoo is stunning.Update #2: Went back to Khwezi (Formerly Erin Ashley) for a flash tattoo and I LOVE it! I got a snail to accentuate a scar from surgery on my back and it helps me feel less self conscious about the scar.

I am a bit of a nightmare client — difficult anatomy, strong preferences, and a million upfront questions. Lynn did an excellent job not only in putting me at ease and providing ample information, but also piercing my deviated septum and fitting me with the perfect jewelry for healing, which needed to be a bit hidden for my job.10/10 cannot recommend them enough.

I recently got my second tattoo from the tattoo artist Sara Tolbert and had an amazing experience. The process of working with Sara to make a tattoo i love was easy and creative. While in the process of developing the tattoo I had a drawing meeting with Sara where she gave amazing input and ideas based of what i expressed and liked. She was able to make my jumbled ideas and pinterest references into a unique piece that i love. While in the actual appointment with her she always made sure i was comfortable by providing water, breaks, and general check ups on how i was feeling. Sara is a very relatable person who i truly enjoyed talking to. From TV shows, real life issues, and even down to roommate drama we were really able to connect in a way that felt natural and comforting. Along with her great personality her line work snd shading are amazing ! She was happy to print out multiple stencils to find one that fit my body and wants perfectly. In my specific piece with the blackberries she focused on finding the light source which made the blackberries look more natural and beautiful. Im in love with my tattoo from her and felt genuinely safe and comfortable throughout the entire process :)

Phenomenal tattoo parlor. Quiet, clean, and very welcoming. If you want your piece done right and don’t mind spending a bit extra, this is the place to go. My piece is now a bit over four months old and looks fantastic even without touch ups. Can’t recommend enough.

Laughing Buddha, had a very welcoming atmosphere. I had a consultation with Sara about a week ago regarding a memorial tattoo. And was able to book the appointment with relative ease. Sara is a wonderful tattoo artist, and did a wonderful job on the tattoo itself. I absolutely love the end result. And she is someone, that I felt I could easily connect with given that we both had sighthounds. She is most definitely a tattoo artist I will be going back to.

This was my first piercing and the experience completely exceeded my expectations. Colin communicated clearly each step of the piercing process and the aftercare. Other staff were friendly and helpful too. The studio’s dedication to safety was evident throughout. Plus, the jewelry available is gorgeous.It’s more high-end for sure, but worth it.

I had such a great experience at Laughing Buddha when I got my earlobes pierced! Kudos to the wonderful staff.I booked an appointment online which was convenient. On the day of the appointment Mahima helped me pick out some starter jewelry by giving me simple but great advice on what to pick for my needs. Lil John, the piercer, was so considerate and kind. The studio is impeccably clean and welcoming. I truly appreciate how germ-conscious they are.Overall a top-notch experience and so far I’ve had zero problems with the healing process.

Received a tattoo from Sara T in February 2024. Cannot say enough good things about Laughing Buddha or Sara. This is my 2nd tattoo at Laughing Buddha and it is a relaxed experience. The staff is incredible, check in / check out are easy, they still accept credit cards, and the individual rooms are truly relaxing. Working with Sara was so easy - from the video conference to the day of. Design was exactly what I had envisioned and I am in love with the end result. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Amazing experience from start to finish! I was a little nervous about getting another piercing, but those went away as soon as I met Lynn and they started explaining the process. They made me feel so comfortable and were very knowledgeable about the piercing space.There is a gorgeous selection of studs to choose from in the lobby, and everyone at the studio was so welcoming. Can’t wait to come back for my next piercing or tattoo!

Got my Daith pierced by Lynn! They were so knowledgeable and made the process as comfortable as possible. Very inviting and clean shop and everyone was so friendly. Will definitely come back in the future for all my piercing needs.

Cannot recommend this place + Colin enough for piercings.Very clean, sterile environment that is incredibly welcoming and warm. Colin made some very painful piercings feel like we were doing something so mundane and easy. It was all I could’ve hoped for and more!Fair warning that the jewelry prices may give you a bit of a sticker shock but they seem on par for the area and are very high quality with a solid selection range to choose from.If I could give more than 5 stars for my experience with Colin today, I would!

Another tattoo shop that doesn’t want to provide a nurse with tattoos. This is what I hate about majority of tattoo shops I have dealt with. They basically refuse to tattoo anything I can’t cover because I’m a nurse. It’s 2024, not 1990, we are allowed to have tattoos now. I have only found 1 tattoo shop (in Minnesota) that doesn’t hassle me for being a nurse and wanting tattoos wherever I want them. Telling your customers it makes it hard for you to sleep at night to tattoo a healthcare professional because you’re worried it could impact my ability to work. Makes me wonder if you’re in the right field of work. Disappointing. I think tattoo artists need to do better. This is not the only place that has made me feel really little for wanting tattoos on my hands and arms.Imagine if healthcare professionals were allowed to refuse services because it makes it hard for us to sleep at night. Insert eye roll. I’m going to start lying about what I do for work. It honestly blows my mind that my profession gives you the right to deny me a tattoo. I can’t wrap my head around it, considering it’s 2024 , nurses and doctors are allowed to color their hair and have tattoos now in case y’all weren’t aware

Lynn is a wonderful piercer!When my preferred piercing wouldn’t be a good idea, I was initially pretty bummed. Lynn calmly explained exactly why, which I really appreciated. I’ve had a few piercers who just gave vague answers. Lynn is professional, friendly, and obviously very knowledgeable. I felt that they understood when I was nervous and when I needed to chat a little, the patience was very appreciated.They explained exactly what was happening during the actual piercing process, and helped me to breathe through it. After, they explained what I could expect for healing and how to care for my new piercing & when to come in for a downsize. They made it clear that I could always reach out if I had any questions or concerns. They also showed proof that the jewelry had been sanitized which was awesome! The folks helping me out at the desk were very friendly, too. The space itself was clean and private, and staff only called me by my preferred name.My back-up piercing was still really cool and I was excited to get it. Lynn explained future possibilities. I left with an awesome piercing! Thank you Lynn & everybody! I really recommend Laughing Buddha - just plan out parking ahead of time :)

I went in for a piercing completely unaware that this was a higher-end jewelry place. Since the piercing was 35 for one lobe, I had expected to pay 20 for an earring and a total of 55 for the trip. When I found out the cheapest stud they carried was 40 I was quite shocked. After tip, I ended up paying 95 for a piercing which, to me, was slightly outrageous considering I am not a stud person at all and will be changing to a hoop asap. This was definitely on me but I’m sure I won’t be the only one, so be aware of this! Besides that, the piercing went very well. It was my first ever and Colin made me feel super comfortable and informed. After it was done, I was feeling super lightheaded. The team was so kind and offered me snacks and water and allowed to sit until I felt better. Very great experience!!!!

I treated myself to some birthday lobe piercings and I felt so taken care of by the staff at Laughing Buddha! The body art consultant helped me pick out jewelry and offered suggestions when I wanted to lower the price point of a couple of the piercings. Then I met with Lynn to do the piercing. They were incredibly warm and welcoming and showed so much enthusiasm for the work. They helped me figure out an adorable set up that I am really happy with. Lynn explained every step of the process and gave me detailed care instructions when I explained that Im an anxious healer and wanted to make sure I didnt overdo it with the cleaning. I had also been curious about custom nose rings and Lynn made sure to get a notation in my file in case I want to come back and make that happen. I will absolutely be going back to Laughing Buddha and Lynn for any of my future piercing needs. Thank you!

Ive gotten two of my lobe piercings from this location by Colin! He is super chill, friendly, and knows what hes doing :) he made me feel very comfortable during the whole process. During placement/marking(?) of where the piercing would go, he would make sure to check in to see if I like the location.The interior of this place is very nice; it almost reminds me of a dental office. They dont take walk-ins and its more appointment based at this location, even for just browsing through their jewelry options, which I dont mind. :) if you do mind, you can call if you have questions or check out a different location that does take walk-ins.10/10 would highly recommend! All staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful ^^

I got snake bites and resized them a month later. Colin O was amazing and had great energy when I was anxious about the piercing. All the staff was really lovely and even recognized me when I came back which was a pleasant surprise.

I got a vertical labret piercing with Lynn yesterday. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, they were very thorough and explained everything really well. They were a great help when doing placement, and took the time to make sure I was satisfied with it. As a minor, I was happy to find someone who was willing to do this piercing and take the time to educate me. I’m really happy with my piercing, and will definitely be coming back if I want any other piercings done, and will be recommending Lynn to others!

Very sterile environment! Be warned, unless you visit their website you wouldn’t know, they are all appointment only. You can’t even get in the door without an appointment. Do not try to walk right in. You won’t get far.Their jewelry is really pretty and reasonably priced. Their piercers and staff are all super friendly. Lynn was fantastic and so nice. 10/10 recommend

I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Molly over the weekend, and it was by far my favorite and most comfortable experience with a tattoo parlor/artist that Ive ever had. The studio is clean, pleasant, and interesting to look at, the front staff were friendly, theyre still observing some COVID precautions (a big plus for me), and Molly came to get me almost right away.Molly herself was sweet, attentive, and listened to my concerns about my skin (thin, and more prone to blowouts as Im now aging into a withered crone lol), and she DIDNT do the thing that all the other artists Ive expressed that concern to have, which is to tell me that they dont get blowouts. She told me what she was going to do to try and prevent it, and told me what areas might still have issues no matter what we did. She gave me extra specific instructions to try and get the best result possible. She was thorough, fast, and an absolute pleasure to talk to, and her art is incredible! I am so, so pleased with the Laughing Buddha staff and with Molly, you all rock!

I barely felt anything. I got 2 helix piercings next to each other, and there was nothing more than a pinch. The jewelry options were nice, waiting room was nice and clean, everything about the place was great!

The experience was great and the tattoo came out even better! The staff was kind and welcoming and my tattoo artist was amazing. Sara was funny, engaging, and truly took the time to get to know me and my tattoo. We were laughing and joking the whole session. She even gave me a snack! The atmosphere was good and everything was clean and sterile as it should be. Its a bit on the pricy side but its a trusted, clean, and professional space with skilled artists so thats what youre paying for.

I got 3 piercings (triple helix) by Lil John here and had a great experience. Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. The practices they have implemented for covid safety are awesome and very thorough. I took some time going back and forth over jewelry choices, but didnt feel rushed to make a decision. We tried a few different placement options to let me figure out what I was happiest with. The piercings hurt of course, but he checked in with me after each one to make sure I was ready for the next. Made me feel really comfortable and at ease. Im super happy with how they all look.

Lovely staff/artists.This is the most legit piercing operation Ive ever seen.My friend and I got our ears pierced by Lynn and Colin; who were both incredibly knowledgeable and kind.There were clear expectations of what they provide and ask of you and clear pricing breakdown of procedures and jewelry offered. They even have you sign the sterilization test kit used on your jewelry to verify its all clean.It is you and the artist collaborating on a piercing, with your body as the canvas. No pressure at all.Highly recommend.

I was treated really well when I stopped in to get my earrings checked on. Really kind and caring service. The jewelry selection is really great and has a lot of unique options as well. I will definitely be going back!Its located upstairs inside the building, so if youre driving by looking for it, make sure to look up and find the neon sign.

This place is great. They hold themselves to the highest standards of professionalism and cleanliness. You can tell the second you walk in. I got a piercing done by Colin and it turned out great. They seem to have a huge selection of high quality jewelry as well, if that is what you are looking for.Their artists seem to be at the top of their game. In fact considering my experience with the piercing I have decided to get my first tattoo here. On a very long waiting list because the artists does amazing work and apparently I am not the only one that wants her work on my body.

I had an excellent piercing experience here. Madeline and Alex at the front desk were professional and helpful and also warm and personable.The jewelry selection was beautiful and large. Madeline helped me find the perfect choice and explained things very well.Lynn did my piercing. They were not only very good at the actual Piercing part of their job, but they also took time to really listen to me and answer all my questions thoroughly. They also have a very nice energy that I found calming. Will be coming back next month to get more piercings and I cannot recommend them enough.

Happened to be in Seattle for the NICWA 2024 conference and my girlie and I decided to hit downtown/capital hill and the laughing buddah because the name was perfect and the time was right for my septum and her second nose hole 😋 very clean very professional very bougie ✨️ definitely not the small town minnesota shops were accustomed to. Highly recommend Lil John for any of your piercing needs!

Lynn Loheide is a phenomenal piercer. I lost my nipple piercings a couple years ago and, despite missing the jewelry deeply, decided it was not worth the pain to get them redone.Except, it WAS worth it.I found Lynn via social media and word of mouth, and I am so glad I did. They are an expert in their fields, answered all of my questions and left me feeling confident. They assessed my anatomy and remaining scar tissue and explained how the process would go. They informed me of every step, while indulging my request to not see the needles.For me, this particular area of the body is the most sensitive and after all was said and done (perfect placement, perfect technique, done quickly and professionally), my body had an unexpected emotional reaction and I started crying. My body needed to grieve something I thought I had forgotten. Lynn went above and beyond, sitting compassionately with me as I regulated my emotions and came back down to earth again. I was so vulnerable and they held space for that moment with warmth and empathy. I was in good hands.Anyway, I am super glad I did it because I look beautiful and adorned. If youre wanting to get a particularly vulnerable part of your body pierced, I cant recommend Lynn more highly. You can trust them.

I had a great experience getting my nostril pierced here. Colin did a fantastic job - he was super professional, kind, explained what he was doing and was super informative, and did super quick work for both my initial piercing and downsizing. The studio itself is also very clean and uses good sterilization procedures which set me at ease. Would definitely recommend them and will be getting more piercings done here in the future!

A Dream Come TrueI got my medusa/ philtrum pierced at LB by Lynn earlier this month and it could not have gone any better! The studio itself was beautiful and clean with an area my partner could sit and wait for me. All front of house staff i spoke with were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They immediately understood what I was looking for in jewelry and showed me options appropriate to my desires and budget. I felt important and cared for while i was there!I have waited over a year since I lived in Fl to get pierced by Lynn and they were just as professional, comforting, and welcoming as I expected. They expertly picked out the placement for my piercing and made sure I was happy and comfortable with it before proceeding. The entire process was smooth and accommodating. My piercing has been healing like a charm and I have already downsized my jewelry accordingly! This piercing has been my dream piercing for a year now and I can officially say that my dream has come true.I couldnt recommend this studio enough for your next piercing. I know that I personally will be coming back for many more VERY soon jaja!

I saw Lynn for a triangle piercing and they made it the smoothest and most comfortable experience possible. They were so communicative about the whole process and kind about answering all my questions before, during, and after the piercing. It’s the most cared for I’ve ever felt by a piercer, I sincerely appreciated the intentional and informed approach. The entire staff was accommodating and clear about pricing and cleanliness procedures, I’ll definitely be returning for more!!

Had Dan do this piece from a great series of childrens books I grew up with. Usually dont write reviews but made an exception with how good he is. I love the placement. The way it shows below a short sleeve shirt is perfect, which was his suggestion and Im so thankful he did.Also I want to point out how good Dans technique is. He is very efficient with his movements and pressure. Easily the least painful tattoo Ive gotten and healed up incredibly fast. Will be coming back for similar pieces eventually.

My septum fell out cause I lost a ball out of nowhere. Didn’t have an appointment but called in while I was outside to see if I could possibly come in just to buy a replacement ring. Was let in immediately, and the person at the counter was extremely kind and gave me a perfectly sized ring just by looking at what I had in. 11/10, I will definitely come back for a piercing or tattoo!

Got my eyebrow pierced 2 years ago and still hasn’t healed. It gets infected every other day. prices are also ridiculously high

Sara was incredibly thorough, kind, and understanding throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to ensure that I received the best care and support during my tattoo. She took great pride in establishing that I was comfortable and that the environment reflected that. Sara is an excellent active listener who is both vulnerable and empathetic. She is a true gem who has clearly impacted every client she has helped. Sara’s work is incredible, I highly recommend her.

Came all the way down from Alaska to get three piercings from Lynn and had the best piercing experience of all the many shops I’ve been to. The professionalism, cleanliness, kindness, and just over all support was amazing. This will be the only spot I go for piercings from now on

I had the best experience, I went there on a recommendation from a friend I was getting pierced by little Jon. It was so painless that I made a subsequent appointment the very next day. I plan to get more when I’m in town. Alex at the front made me feel so comfortable about the process and he helped pick out jewelry. He didn’t get irritated when I went back and forth asking for prices. If you go there don’t worry about asking questions or feeling out of place. Lil’ John was sooo soo nice and he does an amazing job. If I could give you 6 stars I would. Make sure you arrive on time so that you have time to consider all the jewelry, it’s hard to pick.

Absolutely amazing experience! 25 out of 10. Saw Lynn for a spicy piercing and they were absolutely phenomenal. They were not only professional, but kind and considerate. Made sure I knew the risks and possible complications as well as doing the piercing at a size where it will be less likely to experience those complications. The piercing itself was super quick and smooth. I will absolutely be going back to get more from Lynn! They are amazing and super reassuring!

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and professional looking space. High quality jewelry to choose from for piercings. I lost part of an earring that I got from them, and I was able to replace just the missing part with no trouble. They also made the piercing experience safe and comfortable.

First off, Jenny V is an amazing artist with so much skill, I would suggest folks check her portfolio out if they want a great tattoo.Second, wow this shop is great. Great check in system, really updated modern and clean facilities (unlike other places Ive been tattooed in, *shudder*). The employees were professional, kind and quick to take care of your needs when you show up.My *only gripe* is the parking. I mean what can you expect from Capitol Hill, and the location of the shop is in the best place to see but worst case parking situation for the location. But honestly if Im whining about parking then you know Laughing Buddha is an amazing shop.

Got my first piercings here in May 2023. Super clean and sanitary space. They are still observing COVID protocols so must schedule your appointment and check in online - you cant just walk in. Over the past year, Ive brought 1 niece and 1 grand niece for ear piercing with lil John, and I cant rave enough about the service, care and friendly attitude of him and ALL staff there! Little girls are so nervous and excited for ear piercings, often not understanding what goes into it. Lil John was a GEM. So kind. So patient. So friendly and warm. The studio is clean, welcoming, very professional. And I now have 2 littles in my life who will never forget their wonderful ear piercing experience! Long gone are the Claires at the mall days! Lol

However, the quick process came at a hefty cost of $70, which seemed disproportionate for a two-minute job, especially considering it was a reinstallation of jewelry for a piercing already done.Unfortunately, within a week, the jewelry fell out, and a ball was lost. Contacting the establishment revealed that I needed to pay the full price again, despite not having touched the jewelry since its reinstallation. This aspect left me dissatisfied with the customer service, considering the premium price for their services.On a positive note, the facility offers amenities like a charging station, a warm environment, and a beautiful building. The staff is generally friendly, but the pricing, especially for tattoo work, feels exorbitant. As someone who has had around 15 hours of tattoo work done, the cost becomes prohibitive, making it challenging to afford further services at Laughing Buddha.

My piercing experience was great! Super clean environment every step of the way. All staff was super friendly and helpful with jewelry selection all the way through after care. Shout out to Lynn, a guest piercer, who was nice, efficient, and super knowledgeable. Appointment only, and you must check in using a QR code at least 5 min before your appointment. When you first enter youre lead to the jewelry selection area, then after youve selected you get an estimate of your total, fill out some paperwork on your phone in the waiting room, then taken to get your piercing. I will definitely get pierced here again.

I just got a tattoo here and it was a great experience. They have their own covid safety procedures in place that they follow. The facility is clean and everyone was very nice. Molly tattooed me and her work is incredible.

At over a decade since my last tattoo, jumping back in and getting a new piece at the height of a pandemic seems... Questionable. BUT, the setup at Laughing Buddha makes all of those concerns disappear. All artists work in their own rooms, which makes for such an amazing, cool, and safe experience.Im so happy Id been following Kendall, and nabbed one of her Up For Grabs pieces. Her work is so delicate and perfectly detailed. I love it so much!

Violet did such a wonderful job piercing my septum. This was my first piercing, and she was very kind to my anxiety and and I felt super comfortable with her skill set. I told her my biggest concern was the piercing not being straight, and she listened! She also readjust the ball spacing as well to ensure I could flip my piercing up. The staff was also super nice!

Ive been to Lynn twice now and theyve made me feel so comfortable and at ease during my appointment. Not only are they very informative but they walk you through every step of the piercing process and really take their time to make sure the piercings are placed in the perfect spot for your anatomy. I first reached out to Laughing Buddha at the end of September to see if they had a specific limited edition piece of jewelry that I had fallen in love with. Madi responded quickly to help me get my order put in. It turned out that the piece I wanted wasnt compatible with the piercing I wanted to put it in. Madi walked me through our options and helped me pick the best alternative. After some back and forth, we chose a wonderful piece from BVLA and they even asked BVLA for a certain shade of stone so it would match the dream setup Im working toward. I really appreciated the payment plan I was able to set up, as it would have been difficult to afford the piece we got straight out. Madi also took the time to find a barbell that would let the piece sit the way I wanted with its threading. I got the piece in today and it fits like a dream and looks just absolutely perfect! I would definitely recommend Madi and the team over at Laughing Buddha for any custom orders you need help with! She was just amazing from start to finish.

I had to go in and get my nostril jewelry changed after I was pierced with poor quality jewelry at a different place. lil Jon was really kind and non judge-mental about my poor choice in piercer. The piercers and the piercing experience is phenomenal. However, the customer service sucks. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store and they refuse to let me purchase shorter posts for a couple of lobe piercings so that I can change them out at my convenience. Apparently they don’t trust their clients enough to change out their own studs. I’m an adult, I’m going traveling, these long posts get caught in my hair. I just want to buy a few shorter posts so I can change them out when the time comes. I don’t see the problem?!?!

Ive made several attempts to appreciate this establishment, but Im struggling! I’d like to start by saying that all the piercer are undeniably skilled, and that’s why I frequent this place. So if you’re looking for a place to get a piercing this is the place to do it! However, the overall process leaves much to be desired.On this week’s adventure to get another piercing, I engage with an employee by the front door who was engaging with the mailman. I informing them of my appointment. They respond by asking me to check in, which feels redundant since I just mentioned to them that I’ve arrived for my appointment. Okay, I following their instructions, I proceed to check in virtually, only to find myself waiting outside for 11 minutes (yes, I timed it). Once inside, the amount of paperwork required is overwhelming, even though Ive been to this location before. I understand the importance of ensuring customer comfort, insurance blah blah blah, but it’s a bit excessive. It’s a piercing not an open heart surgery.Also, I don’t appreciate the surprise pricing when the jewelry is added to the tab, I mean double the cost of the piercing itself. Come on! Why not have the the online price show a range with a note stating price range determined by jewelry selection.Again, this place is legit AF, and for that reason I’m giving it a rating of 4/5, but I’m writing this review in the hopes that the process can be a little less overwhelming for the client. The overly systematic approach can be frustrating. Little things like having to check in when youve already informed the staff you’re there, or letting one into the waiting room until a member of the teamCan assist would go a long way.But yeah. My experience getting pierced at Laughing Buddha was nothing short of amazing. The shop is clean, well organized, and has a fantastic selection of jewellery. Madi was so kind and helpful when it came to picking out jewellery and was also prompt when I had questions via email. She even put aside a piece of jewellery I was eyeing after I had left just in case I came back for it later (which I very much did!).My friend and I were pierced by Tobias and they are truly a gem of a human being. They spent so much time explaining everything to us and were incredibly patient when I was indecisive about placement for my nostril piercing. Their attention to detail and meticulousness really shows in their work. My friend and I had such a great time we made an appointment a few hours later to get matching conch piercings the same day.I had a fantastic time at Laughing Buddha from the moment I walked into the shop and I cant wait to be back.

I had my Prince Albert piercing done today by Lil John. I already heard great things about this location but my experience exceeded my expectations by far. The shop is so clean and comfortable. The booking and check-in process was painless. The customer service team was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They are transparent with their sanitation procedures and I never had any doubt I was going to have a clean experience. I was already nervous and self-conscious given the location of the piercing but Lil John was very comforting. You can tell by their confidence that they had plenty of experience. The jewelry was already picked for me on my arrival and it was exactly what I planned to ask for: 8g curved barbell. All my questions were answered and the piercing was done quickly and it was relatively painless. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I will definitely revisit this location for any piercing needs in the future!

Really disappointed in my experience here. I originally chose this establishment based off of all the positive reviews. I knew that this place was pricy but I went in with the mindset that the money was worth it to ensure a good quality piercing experience. I got my belly button pierced here only to have it to be pierced crooked. At first I blamed my own anatomy and wished that the piercer would have warned me that my anatomy was not right for the piercing instead of leaving me with a crooked belly button piercing. I recently went to a new piercer and mentioned how I had taken out my belly button piercing because it was crooked and how I thought my anatomy was not right for it. The piercer looked at the pierced location and was easily able to determine that it was not my anatomy that made the piercing crooked but instead it was how it had been pierced. I would never go here again and will not be recommending them to anyone in the future.

It was not a good experience. Lil John pierced my nostril and septum. A few days later, I noticed my septum retainer was crooked (but figured it was swelling and other factors). I gave it more time to heal. I stopped by Pierced Hearts a few weeks later to get a second opinion. They were shocked. The retainer was improperly fitted and cutting through my nose (pictured). Luckily, they were able to remove it and replace it with a ring. It wouldve caused permanent damage if not taken care of immediately.Though my nostril piercing was fine, the facility/protocols were sterile, I cant recommend this place due to what happened with my septum. I am disappointed and I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.Note:*Deposits are non-refundable*Their jewelry is more expensive than other shops

Drove all the way from Canada to get pierced by Colin. I was anxious as heck but he has excellent bedside manner and made me super comfortable and at ease during my appointment.I think this place deserves their great reviews because of how clean and matriculate things are. As someone who’s immunocompromised I felt very safe and appreciated the steps they took to make me feel this way.

This shop is great! They dont do walk-ins, but scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. Remember to pack a mask (but if you forget, they have some disposables)! Staff is transparent on sterilization practices and prices from the very beginning, which really put my mind at ease. I was pierced by a guest piercer (Carlos), and my experience was fantastic! I drove here from Bellingham to get my tongue pierced by Collin. He was highly recommended by several piercers in my town (who didnt do tongues themselves). Very much worth the drive! He was very professional and nice, explained everything as he was doing it, and the piercing itself was very quick. The shop was extremely clean and they were very clear about the process and prices before I went back to get it done. I would definitely come back when Im in town.

I’ve been pierced by both Lil John and Colin O and they both did such a fantastic job! Both are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions, and walk you through the process so you know exactly what’s happening. All the front desk staff are great too, and there are lots of gorgeous jewelry pieces to choose from.

My teenage daughters have gotten several ear piercings here. Laughing Buddha is everything you want in a piercing salon - professional, clear communications, very safe and clean, and probably other positive attributes Im forgetting to call out. Lil John is also very kind and patient while maintaining a high level of professionalism and being very thoughtful about placement and making sure approvals to move forward are solid. Oh, and their jewelry is top notch - so important to reducing potential for infections and ensuring proper healing. While they are a lot more expensive than the shopping mall piercers - when intentionally creating a hole in the body, all of the above makes it 100% worth it.

Came in for 4 lobe piercings with colin and it was honestly best piercing experience i’ve ever had. worthy for my first google review! the amount of care and sterilization, hell even the set up was reminiscent of a clinic/hospital setting. it’s been a day since the piercing and i don’t have any soreness or swelling at all which is honestly amazing compared to my previous experiences.colin himself was very friendly and professional and great to talk to.well worth it in cost and would highly recommend! def gonna come back here for more

We took our daughter here for a nose piercing today. Colin was a total PRO. In fact the entire staff was. There are all very kind, but also VERY serious about protocols. Without the proper paperwork we had to go back home and get it. Lucky for us he had another opening later in the day. At first I was a little put off. But after thinking about it, if they are serious right from the beginning this is a safe place.Hands down the cleanest shop I’ve been to in my life. Colin sanitized and changed his gloves more times than I could count. Sterile gloves for the actual procedure. Very impressed Colin!When done it looked great! Ive had a great experience with Laughing Buddha. The front area staff were very friendly and welcoming with every visit. And I appreciate the precautions they take around Covid.Working with Rae was amazing! I loved working with her! In three visits, she created a beautiful cover-up tattoo for me, and every time I see it, it makes me so happy. She was extremely professional, maintained great hygiene practices, was a great conversationalist in a way that felt natural while also not creating any pressure to talk throughout the entire time, and a talented artist. Rae was also very considerate around my chronic medical issues and checking in with me. Im so in love with my finished tattoo (honestly, Ive loved it at every step)!I am extremely happy with Laughing Buddha and Rae, and Im hoping to be able to save up and work with her on future tattoos!

First off, Colin was amazing. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a first piercing. I wasnt expecting such a large price tag at the end because they charge you the price of the studs + tax on top of the booking fee when youre done, so expect at least $100-200 total, minimum. The covid guidelines there are VERY strict and they took a TON of personal info, my email address, and phone number. Id go back when I can afford to.

Everyone in the staff was so kind and empathetic!! our gps took us to the wrong place and caused us to be 10 minutes late, but everyone at the facility was so understanding and allowed us to continue with our appointment. one of the staff me members, maddison, was so patient and nice to me and my mom and made me feel more than comfortable with the whole process. once my pierced, colin, was ready for me i wasn’t skeptical at all about the cleanliness or his experience. i can tell laughing buddha tales great pride in their cleanliness, as they make sure to show proof of sanitizing their tools. colin talked me through my whole piercing-a navel- and was always asking if i was okay. this made me feel very comfortable. overall, this facility was incredible and i will be recommending it to all my friends as well as coming back. thank you so much!! we made sure to leave a big tip!

To be completely honest my experience was disappointing. I live on Bainbridge Island and if you know Bainbridge you know that the boats are messed up. The day of my tattoo appointment it was a one boat schedule and as the boat arrived at Bainbridge it got delayed by someone’s car breaking down. It was not delayed prior. I immediately called Laughing Buddha to inform them I would be running late (which I was told was ok in the past) and then the lady at the front desk reassured me it was ok and she was gonna check back with me with an update. She called me shortly later as I was driving onto the boat to tell me I was going to be too late and they would reschedule me. I told them I would be 20 minutes late, they typically allow 10. My artist had informed me in my consultation that my tattoo would take about an hour and barely over at the most. They had scheduled me for a two hour period. After getting off the phone with the first employee I spoke to I remembered that fact so I called back explaining that there was an hour for prep and placement to a different employee. Which I was told was the reason they had to cancel (there wouldn’t be enough time). I have never gotten a tattoo but I dont think It would’ve taken an hour. I told the employee that I knew exactly where I wanted it and had a backup location as I was told to prepare and that I dont think It would take long so the extra ten minute delay wouldn’t do too much harm on my extra hour in my appointment. She still said that they would have to cancel because I was going to be too late. About five minutes later I was desperate trying to figure out how to make it work and checking route in seattle that would be the fastest when I realized the boat had sped up and traffic had gone down in seattle and I actually would make it in time. Note: at this point it has been 15 minutes since they canceled my appointment. I called back excited that I would actually make it and they had told me they told the person scheduled after me to come in earlier. I was shocked for two reasons. 1 on my consultation I was told my Sarah that the latest she could see me was 4:00 because I would be her last client and seeing me any later would lead to me needing to be scheduled another day. And 2 it had only been 15 minutes and they immediately jumped to replace my appointment without allowing me a grace period. I would expect at least wait until 4:10 and then call it quits. This was extremely disappointing. I spent the rest of the boat ride crying and feeling very tossed to the side due to their lack of empathy. Every employee I talked to, which was three different ones sounded extremely apathetic and were unwillingly to show me some kindness for a mistake that wasn’t mine (the boats running late). They offered to reschedule me so I dont lose my $100 deposit but I have decided I would rather go to a place that shows people empathy, kindness, grace and forgiveness than one that is unwillingly to do that and quick to replace you. Oh and the funny thing is after I got off the boat I decided to drive there just to see if I would’ve made it. I got there at 4:08. But I couldn’t go in cause they had already replaced my slot. This was disappointing. I do not need or want an apology. Just learn from this and do better.

I have had 5 piercings by Lil John @ Laughing Buddha. They have reasonable pricing, a clean studio, and good customer service.I will say, when I needed help with resizing they werent very attentive in either their inspection (literally done in their lobby, at a distance, and not eye level) or listening to the lived experience. It felt like they werent being sincere and offered no advice. They may take themselves a bit too seriously here.

I really wanted to love my experience here but I’m pretty upset. I understand protocol for keeping safe with sickness but if it interferes with your clients buying the right jewelry, that’s an issue. I wanted a larger hoop for my septum piercing. Picked one and it was way too small but they put it in my nose anyway. I ended up having to take out my piercing all together and let it heal due to the damage and swelling. They have a lot of great jewelry options but I’m not too happy with the way they handle changing out piercings. However, both were very kind and the purchasing portion was great. I just wish the piercer had said it was too small so I could pick something else.

Tried to make an online appointment to buy jewelry, couldnt get one. Which is strange because the internet said open. Open to who? I dont know. Went in person, door said you have to make an online appointment to even come in to view the goods in shop, selection looked like I wanted to spend a bunch of money! But I could not gain access to save my life! So I took my business (happily) to evolve body jewelry and piercing on Broadway. They were open to the public (novel concept) and the 2 people inside were super helpful, and the jewelry was SUPER fairly priced! Ill be back for sure! To evolve that is!

Got really bad vibes from our consult, like we were annoying them with our super basic tattoo request. There was confusion around the consult time, because they only emailed one of us. Artist was running errands or something during the consult. The deposit process asked the same questions that I had answered at least twice already. Did not follow through with appointment because the lack of organization and attention to detail is not what I want when someone is going to leave permanent ink in my body. This would have been my 5th tattoo.

Lil John did an incredible job piercing my 12 year old kiddos ears. The awareness of impact in the approach was way above and beyond expectations. The skill was excellent. I wish I had financial ability to tip more! Well worth it.

Colin brought me into a separate room and switched my cartilage piecing in a few seconds. He has been doing piercings for many year and I will definitely be coming back to have him do my future piercings!

I had my second set of lobes re-pierced, as well as a double helix, from Colin O. He and the rest of the Laughing Buddha staff are absolutely amazing. Super clean shop and everyone was so friendly. Colin explained everything step-by-step, and I love the way he placed the helix piercings. I cant wait to come back for more! Highly recommend - great staff, and beautiful jewelry.Update May 2, 2021: I had four new piercings done by Lil Jon today. Laughing Buddha can do no wrong! For this round, I had my third row of lobes done, another helix done (to complete my trio on my right ear), as well as a forward helix on my left ear. Lil Jon was wonderful and made me feel at ease. Super calming and sterile environment. The front-of-the-house staff (is that what its called?) were wonderful, per usual - totally patient while walking me through jewelry choices and prices. I splurged this time and got Pupil Hall jewelry and it was soooooo worth it! Cant wait for these piercings to heal so I can come back and add to my collection :)

Got my nipples pierced here by Lil John. Dudes a total pro and he really makes sure youre comfortable and hes quick. Also the jewelry selection is so beautiful. I will definitely return for my next piercings :)

I hate to have to write this Because im not One to write bad reviews and I have loved this place for many years and gotten many piercings and tattoos here. However my last experience this past week was was disheartening and frustrating to say the least. I booked 3 piercings In advance And was not aware that cartilage could not be pierced with a hoop. Upon arriving and learning this, I was Told this information was on the release that I signed and that I would have to pay for all 3 piercings whether I go through with the appointment or not. I essentially was forced to do a stud piercing When I didnt want it Or pay $115 to cancel. I understand The policy and respect the artist time but I do think that this stipulation stipulation needs to be emboldened and very clear when booking the appointment. Not in fine print . Again I never write negative reviews And hate to be this person but the front desk was so dismissive and cold about enforcing their policies and it was the most depressing/deflating piercing experience of my life. Quite honestly my 5 years of getting work done here are over for mePS - the Piercers are And have always Been great. Top notch, friendly, warm. I just wish the management and the front desk Would give the same energy

Its a very clean facility. And the staff is knowledgeable. Piercing is priced well, however the jewelry is what will blow your budget. I felt very comfortable and I left better educated than before I went in.

Went to Laughing Buddha this evening to get a simple ear piercing. As soon as I checked in from my phone, they came right out and greeted me very warmly and treated me with so much kindness and respect. Their Covid policies made me feel very safe. Lil John did exactly what I was looking for, and made sure to keep me at ease and answer any questions I had.I feel like good customer service is hard to find these day, but these guys nail it. The shop is very clean, sterilized, and organized. The front desk employees were polite, and the piercing was fast and efficient. However, the shop requires you purchase their jewelry and the selection they have is incredibly overpriced. This ultimately more than doubled the total cost of the piercing over what I was anticipating paying based on the estimated costs listed on their website.

This shop was recommended to me via a work friend and I am so happy!First of all the people working at this shop are fantastic! Johnnie was welcoming and warm and helped my friend and I find our jewelry and get us in for an appointment. Colin was our piercer and was absolutely wonderful. He explained the process step by step, provided humorous and welcomed insight and jokes, showed us the instruments were sterile and took his time to make sure my piercing looked just right. It was an amazingly positive experience and I plan to use Laughing Buddha as my primary piercer here in Washington.

The whole team at Laughing Buddha is extremely helpful and professional, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Lil John for the countless times hes helped me out with piercing issues(not due to this studio). Every time Ive gone in to get help for my problem piercing hes handled the issues with a calm demeanor and provided immediate solutions. Laughing Buddha was extremely easy to contact and set-up an appointment for piercings. I did most of it online and then went in the next day. Store is super clean and comfortable and everyone was very helpful. I believe I saw Colin and he was awesome. Not a huge fan of needles but he made the process quick and painless. Also they are very big on cleanliness and being very sterile with all their tools etc. Will def go back.

Got two state outline tattoos done by Dan. He was excellent, was able to capture the amount of detail and line thickness I was hoping for and he was super nice too. Would recommend for sure!

Had the pleasure of being pierced by both Colin and Lil John in the space of 24 hours and would highly recommend both!Colin walked through each step of the piercing and made sure I was comfortable and informed through the entire process, which took away any mystery or fear about what was going to happen. He is very dedicated to a clean and safe environment.After a few hours with my piercing I decided I wanted the placement adjusted slightly (not Colin’s fault, I approved the first placement) and went back the next day. Lil John was able to see me and was very kind and accommodating to my pickiness. Again I felt heard, comfortable, and well informed in what has felt vulnerable and intimidating in other parlors I’ve been to.Garrett at the front of house was also very friendly and helpful in selecting jewelry that would fit my ear best. I never would have considered a kite shape until he suggested it and now I’m obsessed. Great experience all around, definitely worth the drive over from the east side of the state and I look forward to returning!

Went in to get a piercing downsized and get some new jewelry. The guy put in a post that was too short so it became uncomfortable overnight and I had to go elsewhere and pay to get it changed again the next day. Also he couldn’t be bothered to take 3 seconds to look at the back sides of the earrings, meaning they were two small for a couple of my piercings and one fell out within a couple days. Seems like if I’m spending $800 in your store you could take 15 minutes to make sure you’re doing a good job but apparently they’re in too much of a rush. Go elsewhere.

Have gotten 5+ piercings from Colin, including in some rather sensitive spots and have been extremely happy with him every time. My favorite place to get pierced in Seattle at this point and have recommended Colin to multiple friends.

All staff was very professional about the process, completely walked me through it, didn’t leave me questioning anything about it. there was a great selection of jewelry to choose from, and i felt comfortable putting it into my body. all staff was very friendly as well, and lil john had great bedside manner that made the piercing procedure stress free, easy, and even fun! i would definitely come back to the shop for any piercings in the future, and hopefully some tattoos soon as well!

Customer service is terrible. I scheduled a 30 min appointment for downsizing an ear post. I was 10 min late because there was a wreck on I-5. When I arrived, the receptionist told me they can’t do it because sterilizing the post will take 10 min. They can’t do math. 30 min - 10 min late - 10 min sterilizing = 10 min remaining time for replacing the post. Replacing the post should take less than 5 min which I have done it before. They’re not very accommodating. There are so many great piercing shops in town such as Pierced Hearts Tattoo Parlor. I went there after Laughing Buddha rejected me without refund. Pierced Hearts is so friendly, less snobby, and professional. My experience with them is much better.

Ive had great experiences here. Once to switch out jewelry in a piercing and the other to pick out some spirals for my ears. The piercers are great at putting you at ease and are patient with people who have lots of questions. Front desk is always friendly when Ive been visiting. The shop is spotlessly clean and my only reason for giving it a 4/5 is that although the jewelry selection is amazing and beautiful its very pricey. Otherwise Id recommend everyone coming here for their body mod needs.

It was a very easy process Lil John made it very comfortable for me by talking coz I was very nervous and scared of the pain it might cause but it didn’t.Nostril piercing is very very easy and not painful at all. The collection they have is very extensive.I’m giving 4 stars only coz I had to fill a check-in form to even enter that place but it was freezing outside so had to knock and asked them to let us in but still didn’t let us enter the facility and asked us to wait in the lobby.Overall, a nice experience

I went yesterday for a Rook piercing. Colin is incredibly nice and calm which eased my nerves. He is obviously very experienced and is thoughtful about how he approaches each piercing. Just got three piercings done by Collin O. He was amazing! Super fast, and very thorough in his explanation if everything happening. It was over like a flash, and we had some good laughs while he was preparing. He went through everything to expect during the piercing and after, including why they chose the length of the stud. A beautiful space with gorgeous jewelry in a killer location- but so incredibly disappointed with my experience here. Went in to get jewelry replaced for my septum piercing and felt very talked down to. Was unaware that price points were so high. Left quickly, and without what I came for- wouldn’t recommend this space for someone looking to feel welcomed and comfortable.Note to reply: I have absolutely no issue with wearing my mask! This review had nothing to do with being asked to put my mask back on after showing the employee my septum piercing.

I came in for a nostril piercing and it was such a great experience from start to finish. I was really nervous about it going in but everyone was so patient and reassuring with me and answered all of my questions about the process, so I felt comfortable immediately. The entire facility is cleaner and more sterile than any doctors office (let alone any tattoo/piercing shop) Ive ever been to. Lil Jon has magic hands and he made me feel so at ease, and the piercing barely hurt aside from a brief pinch. I would recommend them to everyone.

Have gotten appointments with both lil John and Colin now. Both are super professional and not only know their stuff but know how to share their knowledge. The wait can be a little behind in the appointments, but they make sure all your equipment and jewelry are sterilized and the appointment itself comfortable while efficient.

I had a wonderful experience getting my ears pierced today. The gentleman who helped me when I walked in was very kind, knowledgeable and put my mind at ease. John did my piercing and was incredibly nice and understanding of my fear of needles. Even though I am a big baby, the experience was wonderful and I would gladly recommend to anyone. Im just mad at myself for not coming in any sooner :)

The staff was super friendly and the work they do is amazing! Got my nostril pierced and it was a super easy process, Colin did an excellent job at a really good price!! Also the tattoo work that Alex and Chad did on the people I went there with turned out absolutely stunning. Such cool people and a great place to go! Definitely recommend.

I had the most wonderful experience here. First off, the facility was super clean, and they’ve implemented effective measures to ensure they are being as COVID safe as possible. They even called me the day before the appointment to make sure I knew their protocol which was super helpful.Rae was my artist. From the initial zoom consultation to the end of my tattoo appointment, she had awesome ideas to add that I hadn’t even thought of. She was incredibly professional and worked pretty fast, while also being extremely detail oriented. I get a little shaky at times, so she periodically would ask if I was okay or needed a break which was appreciated. Lil John did my Navel piercing. Very quick, easy, and painless experience (just felt like a little pinch!). He did a great job on placement too. Perfectly centered and symmetrical. This establishment is VERY clean and sanitary! They are taking covid precautions very seriously and I cant thank them enough for it. It made me feel very comfortable there. Cant wait to come back for a dermal or two.

Last week, I had two piercings done at Laughing Buddha, and was so happy with my experience there.The studio itself is by far the nicest place Ive ever been pierced: its clean, well lit, private, and the front desk staff were courteous and informative about both the process and available jewelry. The displays were organized and elegant, with a range of styles and prices. The strict COVID safety protocols made me feel very comfortable and were a huge factor in my choosing Laughing Buddha (vax verification, masks, COVID symptom survey, hand sanitization upon entry, etc.). In terms of the piercing itself, sanitization was a clear priority with multiple stages of verification.Lil John did my piercings, and I genuinely felt so comfortable and safe. They (sorry, not sure of pronouns!) were conversational, informative, kind, and the process was quick but thorough. Im a week out from being pierced and havent had any difficulties with aftercare; the piercings themselves are well-placed and havent even bled since the initial puncture. Despite them being in a sensitive location, the pain was quick and much less than I expected.All that to say -- I am very happy with my experience and would (and will) highly recommend Laughing Buddha to anyone considering body mods!

I had posted an initial review of 2 stars due to an unhappy piercing experience. I feel inclined to post a revised review as this shop did absolutely everything possible to correct the situation and make me a happy customer. Not only did they manage to get me back in right away, they had a different piercer re-pierce me and he was exceptional. He listened to me concerns and raised his voice audibly when I let him know I was extremely hard of hearing (something the previous piercer did not do). This is my 3rd piercing from this shop (over 20 years) and I am happy to say that I would recommend Laughing Buddha to anyone who is looking for a piercing. The front desk staff are exceptional and should be noted here as well.

The staff is super nice and professional. They listened to my concerns and worked with me to help figure out what jewlery would work best with my anatomy. The front desk staff were also awesome in that they chatted with me and before the piercing which was awesome because I was very nervous. Unfriendly, check in staff was rude both times I went in. Uncommunicative, didnt tell me about the care of piercing or how long it would take to heal until after it was pierced. Scheduled a second earring change appointment after their recommended timeframe. Came in and they wouldnt see me saying I had to wait 6 more months even though I had an appointment and they knew the earring I was changing out. Asked several times more to be seen since I was already there. Pretentious, said they didnt trust my earring even though it was gold like their site recommended. Definitely wouldnt recommend.

The front desk staff were very nice and since I did a walk in I only had to wait about 30 mins because of clients ahead of me.I got my nose pierced and was kind of nervous, but my piercer Colin O was very friendly and had me laughing. This is an incredibly clean studio, and I would highly recommend it. I walked in on a Wednesday evening for a conch piercing, and though they were busy, I was greeted and helped fairly quickly. One of the kind folks behind the counter helped me pick out jewelry, and made me an appointment for later on, since they were so busy at the time. They did ask for a $30 deposit, which would be applied to the total amount. The shop is in such a central location, so my friend and I walked up to Rachels Ginger Beer while we waited. At appointment time, I filled out a waiver, and was brought back to the room. It was very very clean, and the piercer Colin was very professional and kind. I have a ton of piercings, but he still talked me through the whole process, which I appreciated so much. This shop even goes so far as to have you initial the sterilizer indicator strip so that you KNOW that your jewelry was sterilized. I highly recommend this shop, just make an appointment first. 🙂 Parking can be tricky, so take an Uber or public transit and save yourself the headache.

I had my septum done by Colin and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting piercings!Very clean, professional, and easy going piercer.I asked around for a while and looked up photos of piercings before finally deciding on the much recommended Laughing Buddha. Very glad I did! I choose them because the placement of the piercings in the pictures were very good and close to what I was going for.They didnt do reservations so I went up as early in the afternoon as I could. Waiting for the two people ahead of me to be pierced.They helped me pick jewelry and I got a retainer shape rather than a closed piece, so that I could hide it for work. They had me verify my chosen jewelry before and after it went into the enclave.Colin kept a decent conversation with me, cleaned the site, and pierced my septum.

What a lovely experience with Lil John. I got 3 piercings (helix, daith, and upper lobe), and they were all very smooth. I thought it would hurt a lot more, but it was way less painful than I expected. Showed my friends the final result, and they are asking me where I went and who did it. I 100% would go back to Laughing Buddha to see Lil John! Very caring staff who give you their complete attention and compassion 💖

I got a triple helix and nose piercing done here by. Colin O when I was visiting.The staff is beyond helpful, the jewelry pieces were of fantastic quality,and Colin was very thorough in explaining all of the sterilization and aftercare. When I mentioned I was out if state, Colin was able to give me several recommendations for follow up on my piercings that were practically local to me.Definitely recommend!

I love Laughing Buddha. They have done great piercings for me over the last 9 years. They have very conscious staff from front door to artists. I always have felt well treated/like my individual body mods and health were important to the staff. I have recommended them and will continue to do so.Also props on covid safety. Cannot say enough great things about this shop and the artists there! I previously had a piercing done at their old location and returned the other day for a new tattoo. They are extremely covid conscious, they do a great job of letting you know what the process will be like before you arrive (like waiting outside for a few minutes while you fill out forms, and not bringing anyone else to the appointment with you etc.) Rae was fantastic all around, her interpretation of what I wanted was spot on and it was very easy to make minor changes the day of. She made the process painless ;) I will definitely be back

I had a daith piercing done by Colin. They had called me before to tell me kind of what to expect (although they should have told me I had to wait outside and do paperwork because it was a bit cold). They brought me in and had me chose out jewelry then had me wait for a few minutes. Colin was amazing! I was kind of nervous about the whole process but he walked me through literally step by step!!! He ensued j was comfortable and relaxed. He went through after care well. If I get any other piercings done I will for sure go to him and this place

Dont bother stopping by for jewelery.edit: now why did you guys bother replying to my review? I understand its appointment only, but Im a customer who had come in many times before the pandemic--sorry if it didnt occur to me to check your website before heading over, but I dont think its reasonable to expect that everyone will do that, at least not repeat clients like myself. I needed a piece as an emergency because I lost an expensive backing that could not easily be replaced, as your store is one of the only vendors of DVLA anywhere near me. Further more, while it may state on your website that appointments are necessary, I didnt actually find a way to reasonably do so just to shop for jewelry (nor do I want to wait a month or more, again, to just buy jewelry). Maybe find a better way to get the message out because my review is accurate whether or not youre taking appointments: dealing with this is a waste of time.

If you want high quality piercings done by artists who know what theyre doing, come here! I scheduled an appointment with Lil John and it went very well. I appreciated his knowledge and recommendations based off my anatomy, as well as his demeanor. This is a very nice and sterile facility all the way around and look forward to coming back for another. The jewelry is a bit on the expensive side but gorgeous and definatly worth every penny!

First of all, the front desk staff is amazing. They not only helped me get signed in but also recommended the perfect piece of jewelry. The shop is open, full of natural light, beautifully decorated and I love that my piercing experience was in a private room. My piercing has healed up well and looks amazing! I wasn’t planning to get any other piercings, but have changed my mind after this experience!

Amazing customer service! Ive had 6 piercings in total from LilJohn over the last 2 years. He is the only person I will ever go to again! I had had 13 piercings before him & I regret not doing my research before hand. They were done poorly. Hes got an extensive amount of experience & it shows. All piercings Ive got from him have been to perfection. I really appreciate him, his work & his professionalism. Every time I go here, I have a super positive experience. The staff is warm, friendly, funny, and professional. The new digs are super pristine and spacious, and it makes me happy to see a local business thriving here in Seattle rather than being forced to close up shop due to the insane tech boom.They have a fantastic array of jewelry to choose from if youre getting a piercing or need a replacement, and their tattooists are exceptionally talented. Truly cant sing their praises enough!

I got my septum pierced by Colin O, he walked me through every step before starting and explained what he was doing as he was doing it. He made sure my comfort came first and he did it so fast!! I usually dont write reviews, unless I had a bad experience, however, I had such an amazing experience at Laughing Buddha Seattle, that I just had to take the time to write this as I was absolutely blown away with how great of an experience I had with my piercing change outs by Lil John, and the girl that helped me pick out my jewelry in the front lobby. I previously had my helix pierced in 2 areas at a place in Bellevue, and after a month of the 2 helix rings causing me pain, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Lil John to look at my ears, which come to find out he said the person that pierced my helix shouldve never put rings in as you are supposed to start out with studs first, then you change to hoops after 9 months, which explains why I was in so much for a over a month after getting it done. Lil John removed the hoops and changed them out for 2 gorgeous studs, and he also stretched my septum. From all of the education to amazing experience both him and his staff provided, I will definitely be returning to Laughing Buddha Seattle for any future piecing needs!

Great service, friendly staff. Went with a friend and both our piercings seem to be healing well so far. Procedure was thorough but quick and Lil John made sure we both felt comfortable throughout. Was recommended by a peer - will definitely pass it on!

$5 to walk in the door - not false information as owner claims. Note that I am OKAY with appointment system but not charging me to do so. This is my neighborhood piercing shop and I am sorry to say that business practice led me to get pierced elsewhere. I can understand wanting to limit foot traffic but you are turning away potential customers.

Had great ear piercing experiences with both Colin O and Lil John. Super professional, fast, and friendly. Felt almost nothing after having to get my daith piercing swapped out after 4 months for medical imaging. Highly recommend!

So the actual piercing with Lil John was great! I love the earrings I picked out and he was knowledgeable, answered my questions and made sure I was comfortable. Great job!However, I will likely not be back after the lackluster experience with the sales staff. I was quoted the cost of one earring not two, so imagine when I checked my receipt and they cost $380! This was AFTER I was quoted over $400 for a different pair and was told those with gems are more expensive so I picked a plain 14k pair. No mention they were threadless posts or anything.Also, I was double charged for the cost of the service because despite paying for it in advance via a deposit, I was charged again at the time of service. Lastly, and most concerning, I tipped 15% using their preselected tip amounts but was 1) charged 16.6% and 2) it was calculated on the total rather than the pretax total! Imagine how much they scalp ppl for doing this practice. So even though the original deposit was refunded after I called (and had to explain it more than once because originally she tried to tell me I wasnt overcharged), I still ended up overcharged in the end. This is NOT the Laughing Buddha I remember from years past.

Laughing Buddha is by far the friendliest, most sanitary and most professional place I have ever gotten a piercing for myself or my daughter. Colin O is amazing and makes you feel very comfortable. If I ever get another piercing or even another tattoo Laughing Buddha will always be where I go and I have recommended it many times now. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!!

Went in to get a piercing and verified with the piercer ahead of time that I could get what I requested, and instead got a heap of condescension and unsolicited platitudes. I would rather st*b myself in the foot than go back in there. It all felt incredibly frustrating and disingenuous to book because I was told one thing and then walk in and get another.Also it is never appropriate to tell a client that this is a lesson in patience when its a lesson in bad service.

The piercers at this business are nothing short of amazing. Every time, it is a painless, accurate, gorgeous result. They are wonderfully friendly and just a joy to be around! Every piercing I have now is from Laughing Buddha, and every one is healed beautifully.They are quite serious about safety at Laughing Buddha. Love this place. I got my nose, tragus, and belly button pierced my Colin O. I have gone in multiple times just to buy smaller or replacement posts and other jewelry for my nose and tragus and those at the front have been super fast and helpful.

Jenny at Laughing Buddha is OUTSTANDING!! Ive been a client of hers for about 12 years, and got my third tattoo from her last week. She did a custom piece, black and grey Rhododendrons covering and twisting around my forearm. She showed me the design day of and it was better than I could have ever imagined. She captured exactly what I wanted. I asked for the flowers in full form, the leaves and the buds. I no longer live in Washington and got this piece to remember the home that I miss so dearly. Now I have something I can look at every day and remember my home. She was super informative throughout the process and we took a few breaks so I could stretch and eat a snack. One of the best parts (IMO) is that we listened to the podcast, Lore, the whole time :) it made the time fly by and gave me something to focus on when the needle was in some precariously painful locations! HIGHLY recommend Jenny for all of your tattoo needs, she is a dream to work with.

I had my first of 3 sessions with Dan yesterday and it was the best tattoo experience Ive had in 18 years. He patiently worked with me to ensure the size and placement was perfect. He was considerate and engaging throughout our session. Im absolutely in love with this piece and cannot express enough how grateful I am to Dan for his exquisite skill and artistry. The shop is gorgeous, the staff is amazing; this is a first class business. I cant wait to get back to it!

Colin was amazing and made me feel really comfortable even though I was pretty nervous beforehand. I felt like I was just hanging out with a friend talking about our days and then suddenly I had a beautiful piercing. It went by quickly and painlessly. After my appointment, my friend and I went to Evolve Seattle for a piercing that she wanted to get, and that place was much less inviting. It had scary pictures of peoples crazy piercings on the wall. It made me appreciate Laughing Buddha much more. It definitely had a much friendlier and inviting environment and Colin was great.

UPDATE: I bought a custom piece of jewelry (BVLA) through Laughing Buddha a few months ago, had a good experience with Chantel, then I asked for a quote for another piece of jewelry, we exchanged a few emails, and now two months later I have never heard back. I emailed her a month ago to follow up; no response. I called the shop six days ago and spoke to someone else, told them the situation, gave them all the information about the jewelry I wanted, they said theyd get in touch with Chantel, but no matter what would get back to me right away (I assumed that would be a day or two). No response. I have no idea whats going on or why the shop is refusing to respond to me, especially when they get a commission on jewelry orders like this. So at this point I dont trust the shop and wouldnt spend any more money there. Im actually worried now that I wont get the original piece of jewelry I ordered and paid for.OLD REVIEW: Just had a fantastic birthday/piercing experience tonight. My piercer was Colin O. Made me super comfortable and was very nice and fun. I was the last appointment of the day, doing four cartilage piercings, and it went very smoothly. Parking can be a pain, but its bustling Seattle, so not a surprise. The space is lovely. Great customer service. Very COVID conscious. Im glad I went to Laughing Buddha for my birthday!

I have done two piercings here with Colin O, nose and helix. The experience is fantastic as he puts you at ease, talks you through exactly what he’s doing and makes sure you’re comfortable and pleased with your piercing. The front-of-house staff are also awesome and patiently answer any and every question you have. Highly recommend Laughing Buddha!

Cannot give this place enough praise. I had my daughters ears pierced here and Little John was amazing. They treated the whole thing from start to finish with a ton of professionalism and took the modification seriously even for something as trivialas getting ears pierced. I cant imagine going to a Claires for something like this after having taken my daughter here. While it was the more expensive option, the comfort and confidence that my daughter was getting a good piercing was overly worth it. Cannot recommend this place enough and I tell everyone about it.

The whole studio, staff, jewelry, and process was seamless and perfect. Colin O was absolutely amazing. I would trust him with any piercing. It was miles above any other piercing experience I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

I got pierced here a few months ago by Colin, who is super nice, very skilled, and has a nice way of working and interacting with clients. Also, the covid precautions here are very good. I felt safe, and I support their decision to charge a PPE fee.Recently, through no fault of Laughing Buddhas, one of my piercings got infected. Again it was definitely not their fault. They have a very professional, highly sterile process. It was my own fault for self-contaminating.I was sort of upset, and totally confused about what I was supposed to do (other than getting antibiotics prescribed), but the folks at Laughing Buddha were beyond amazing. They were quick to act, and were able to squeeze me in on the same day for a replacement with a new, freshly sterilized, longer earring post. The team here completely saved the day with their kindness, empathy, and knowledge. And, not only was the experience good, but I really believe that replacement actually did a lot to promote healing.I wanted to share this because I was met with care and support during a time when I felt vulnerable, and the whole team went above and beyond. I hope this story shows Laughing Buddhas high level of trustworthiness and professionalism.

I had a great experience getting my septum done at Laughing Buddha. Lil John, my piercer, was kind, patient, and assuring. Everyone there is a wonderful mix of very profession (about the important stuff, like sterilization) and very approachable (about the fun stuff, like choosing jewelry). Lil John was even very sweet when I came back the next day in a panic because I couldnt get my flipper to flip. I would recommend anyone going there without hesitation.

I got a small tattoo on my upper left shoulder - my first tattoo ever. We (my fiance and I, who was also getting work done) went into the shop and tried to see if we could set up an appointment. We were overjoyed to hear they could take us back if we were willing to wait just an hour or so. We worked with an artist named Chad. He was super nice, very professional, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Once we were all finished up, they gave us some info on how to take care of the tattoo thereafter and we were on our way.All in all, we were both overjoyed with the entire experience, and the quality of our tattoos are phenomenal. After getting my first tattoo, I can see why many people would never step into a parlor after a bad experience. I feel extremely lucky to have had this place be where I got my first piece done. The experience was fantastic and I plan on returning there to have more work done very soon.

Ive gone into the laughing Buddha twice now, one to buy some jewelry, and another to get my nose pierced. Both times were great! The customer service is awesome and everyone is super nice, even when you have silly questions. The shop is kept neatly and they carry very good quality products. I got pierced by john, Ive had other piercings, but he made this one an absolute breeze and was very kind... unlike a lot of piercers Ive met in the past. Im new to the Seattle are but have already decided that the Laughing Buddha is my go to piercing and jewelry shop. Just got my eyebrow pierced here on Tuesday. The entire staff I interacted with was super professional and timely. I got pierced by Lil John, and he was willing to answer all my questions and more. Plus their jewelry selection is so pretty!
