Always evolving as artists w-style/design as well as application.Josh has some of the straightest line work anyone could hope for. Danara is a G , shes quik in application even when applying color..quite frankly she makes all us tattooist boys look bad.Bring them youre ideas and leave the riff raff at home ,you cant go wrong🤟🏼

Even as a first year tattoo artist, I had zero doubts about Jessica. The work I saw that she had previously done and her passion led me to need a tattoo from her asap.The shop is super clean and I felt more comfortable there then I ever have in any other shop.I am obsessed with my leg and the incredible work she did and always will be. Can’t wait to go back for more pain, good vibes, and incredible ink!

If you’re looking for a great artist I can’t recommend Jess enough. I’ve already had two people ask for her contact info because they want to get work done with her.I fell in love with the design as soon as I saw it and Jess did an amazing job getting it done. I couldn’t believe how quick she got the outline done while still doing pristine work.

Both of the artists here are simply phenomenal. Josh specializes in geometric designs, and Danara does exquisite surrealistic faces. Seriously, check out their portfolios! Its no wonder theyve won awards at conventions.The going rate is currently $200/hour. A deposit will be required, too. But go in knowing youll be wowed with the results! Its worthwhile!The attention to detail and hospitality in this shop are enough to build long-lasting trust. Josh and Danara know what theyre doing, and they excel at it, too! ♡

There are some great artists here like Trejen. Trejen is diligent, perfectionist, takes his time,  great communication, ensures his clients are satisfied with his work. He helped my two best friends and I get a moon tattoo previously. Unfortunately there are also artists such as Josh. Please avoid him. My opinion is that he is greedy and rushes his work to maximize profit at the expense of quality.I’ll start this review by saying he blocked me on IG and called me a baby that needs to grow up. This is in response to me telling him that he doesn’t have to worry about touching my tattoo up that he did 3 years ago; because I found someone else that I think is better. I don’t appreciate being ghosted for 3 years and trying for years to get just only one quick touch up as promised by him years ago after paying $400 for a small arm tattoo. He later says you have to buy another tattoo at the same time to get a touch up.This is greedy, especially if you don’t know what you want for new tattoo they are for life after all! I thought the saying was you get what you pay for. He told me years ago that his flat rate is high because small tattoos require touch up. He said they were all free included in the $400 I spent for a 15 minute small arm tattoo. But I’ve never had a touch up and I’ve tried for years, as well as all my friends who got matching tattoos with me that Josh performed work on. He is as bad as an artist as he is a human being in my honest opinion as a customer.

I followed Brad here from his other tattoo shop and enjoyed the space very much. It is bright, cozy and clean. Plus the location is so convenient to downtown Ballard. Brad is an incredible artist - I have two tattoos by him, and both are delicately fine-lined, detailed and beautiful. I get compliments all the time. He is easy to talk to, fun and caring. Cant wait to be back for my next tattoo! Highly recommend Brad!

These guys have amazing top quality work! I went in to get a portrait of my daughter by Danara and she was very easy to talk to. Her and Josh made me feel more as family than a client, not to mention my tattoo she gave me and the piece I saw Josh finishing was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend this shop to EVERY ONE👍👍👍

This shop is home to two excellent artist, that between them theres hardly a style of tattoo I wouldnt confidently wear from them. I cant recommend Danara enough! She works quickly with a great deal of detail, and finesse that I found lacking in other artist Ive gotten tattooed from in the Tacoma- Seattle area. Her prices are more than fair for the quality of work youre getting, and shes more than willing to work with you around your schedule. Theyre a relatively small shop that doesnt have that much through traffic at one time, which is nice for the customer, but if I can say anything they deserve to booked up for months in advance.

I went in a year ago for a consultation with an idea of sunflowers and leaves and Josh told me he’d get me taken care of. We scheduled my appointment for a few weeks later and I was incredibly impressed! It was my first tattoo and while sure, not painless, less painful than I imagined! Josh was extremely informative and gave me tons of aftercare advice. He checked in several times throughout the next couple weeks to make sure I was healing appropriately and to make sure I didn’t have any questions. I’m going back in a few days to get more added on but I get questions about where I went and compliments ALL the time! I could not recommend them enough.

I’ve gone to Jess a few times and every experience has been Fantastic! She’s an amazing artist and does great work! If I could give her a better rating I would!! She is easy to work with and her passion for art shows. :)

Ive been a loyal and returning customer for awhile. Danara has done two tattoos and a half sleeve cover-up. I definitely made a couple bad tattoo decisions in my younger years, and Danara gave me the most beautiful design to cover it. She great at working on dark skin as well! I already have another session on the books with her. The whole staff is nice and provides great customer service. They even check-in on you to check on the healing of your tattoo and are available to provide advice when needed.

Josh absolutely killed it on matching tattoos my wife and I got of oxytocin molecules. He worked fast, had a very light touch, and was super friendly the whole time. Josh clearly has the confidence of lots of experience, and Im thrilled about the end result. I live out of state, and if I ever get anything like this again, Ill happily drive 12 hours back for it.

UPDATE: 1 year later, here is my fresh/healed pic. The ink settled in so amazing, I am still in awe at how amazing Josh is as an artist. I will be back for more ink, I already have an idea in mind :).Josh created a masterpiece for me, super friendly, clean studio, perfect attention to detail. All around a great experience!

10 out of 10! Amazing artists, impeccably clean and super friendly vibe. After the amazing result and experience im sure to come back. 100% recommended. Its my sencond time getting tattoed here and both experiences have blown my expectations. My first tattoo here was an incredibly realistic portrait on my bicep executed to perfection by Danara Christensen! Now I just came in to have traditional full color koi fish done by Josh Christensen and oh my god! Its exactly what I wanted!! Thank you so much! Love the shop. Love you guys!

Danara is fabulous! I love my work, space is clean and welcoming, her art is mind blowing! You should consider yourself lucky to get a spot on her table.

Josh was amazing! He worked diligently off of the design details I gave him and created an amazing piece! The space is clean and sharp, plenty of entertainment during the whole experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Danara is the best tattoo artist around! Fast, quality work for realism or any work! Her color skills are the best around.

If you just want a tattoo then this isn’t the place for you. If you want artist that take pride,pay attention to the smallest details, & put their hearts into ever piece. Now you have come to the right place. I’m traveling this summer from Miami just because of the quality of work NWC Tattoos continuously puts out.

Just got my first tattoo from Josh...barely any pain, and it looks amazing! If youre a fellow comic nerd and want a cool place to hang and get inked, this is your home planet! 🤘

Danara is great to work with, she is very talented with design and tattooing. My tattoo is beautiful and healing wonderfully!

Trejen was pretty great! He dealt with me being picky with the placement of the template and did a great job, Im very happy with the quality of his work.

Danara did my water color of a hummingbird with a rose ... love it, and get so many compliments. She is amazing!
