I had the greatest first tattoo experience with the great and powerful Colin. A calm and cool soul that has such deep passion for making beautiful art. Incredibly friendly staff and the Vishnu vibe was immaculate! As far as after care information, I left the parlor knowing I was in good hands and I felt his instructions were very concise and easy to comprehend. Could not have asked for a better first time experience!

Vishnu Bunny has an experienced staff with a variety of specialties. On every occasion weve visited (7 or so times, with more booked) it is always clean, including the restroom. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming. We highly recommend Picasso, his work is fantastic!

Even though we were there past her schedule time, she was willing to pierce my daughters ears. She was very well knowledgeable if everything. I highly recommend.

Came in as a walk in on a Saturday. I had no plans to get tattooed but when I saw the shop walking down the street, I went in and was immediately greeted. Shop is nicely sized, awesome decor filled with a ton of amazing art for sale and was extremely clean. Every person was genuinely nice.I added my name on a walk in list and was called a few hours later.Danya was the tattoo artist that took my request. I wanted something small to represent the city of Sioux Falls. After I showed him my idea, he quickly sketched up my idea and I was in the chair just a few minutes later.Overall, it seems like the shop has a good relationship with all their artists. Stations and areas were kept organized and clean and they also have a nice area of piercings. This shop took me by surprise and is a gem that I didn’t expect to find. I will highly recommend this shop if you are anywhere in this area and thank you Danya for the clean work and hospitality!

I came in with a general idea of what I wanted, but I didnt know how to verbalize it. Morgan took her time to ensure that I got what I wanted. The first time I arrived to meet with her I asked her to make some changes to the drawing, and she was more than happy to go back to the drawing board to help me get what I wanted. When I returned I found that she drew exactly what I wanted, and it is gorgeous. The 4ish hours I spent in her chair for the first sitting were so easy and gentle. I have had other tattoos done and they were painful, but Morgan had such a gentle touch that I could have sat there all day. I cannot wait to go back and finish what she outlined. I would never hesitate to recommend her to my friends.Morgan finished my tattoo today, and again it was a pleasure working with her. Im so happy with the final result.

My nose ring fell out, ordered a new one but couldnt put it in (flat back). I walked in here and Kay not only put it in for FREE but wrote the down the information for me to get the tool to do it myself next time. Who does that anymore??? First, I would have had to buy their nose ring AND pay to have them put it in AND no way would they have helped me get the tool to do it next time.

This is the second tattoo that I have gotten here. First one was about two years back and today, 3/9/24, I got another one. Both were done by Rob Carda. He is a wonderful tattoo artist. Such a cool place with a kickass vibe.

Morgan did an AMAZING job!! She has a true natural talent. She is absolutely my new artist. I am in love with the piece that she did and have gotten many compliments. You can tell she loves what she does so she pays very close attention to detail and it shows! I highly recommend her!

Hand down best place i’ve ever got a piercing! The place is clean, and the staff is so friendly! Me and two friends came in as walk-ins for piercings and we were done within an hour! I got my first ever tattoos yesterday (2 of them) and had the pleasure of working with Hack. From my initial request via their website form, to the completion of the appointment, I couldnt be happier! His work is amazing and his personality matches his work. For my first time in a tattoo studio, I never felt out of place or overwhelmed. Hack explained everything he was doing and I would not hesitate to book with him again! Top notch all the way around!!

Kay was an absolute sweetheart! She was very busy, but made sure to take her time with each client and ensured everyone was taken care of. She felt more like a friend rather than a piercer. Definitely will be returning to see her :)

Nic seemed very nice and polite and i love my tattoo.. but I was surprised of how much they charge for a small simple tattoo like this. It took about an hour, maybe even less than that.. $200. Unfortunately, I dont think ill be coming back to this one.

Jason is amazing! Gave me the exact tattoo I wanted and hes very personable. Very easy going and didnt gouge the skin like other tattoo artists. Today is the second time Im here to add on to what he gave me. I recommend him 💯

I’ve had such good experiences the two times I’ve been here. Picasso here is extremely talented and his artwork is raw and original. (I made the mistake of showing him another artist’s work as inspo and he refused to look at it) but he somehow made the tattoo cooler than I could’ve imagined. Coolest people ever and best place hands down.

Highly recommend them over any other shop in town. They have amazing resident artists and sometimes host awesome guest artists. Kai did my 2nd one and I am very pleased. Jeff is an artist Id recommend.

Hack is the tattoo artist that did my tat. I think that it is well done. He came up with different ideas and asked if I liked them. I would recommend him.

Artist rushed my tattoo and it looks terrible. He also spent the entire visit babbling about Mayan conspiracies or something like that. If he was as focused on the tattoos as he was on spouting paranoid rhetoric maybe I wouldnt have needed to fix my tattoos at a different shop.

Kay has and always will be my go-to gal for piercings. Best in town, hands down!! I have my lobes, tragus, conch, and helix. She is the best at explaining the whole process and makes sure youre feeling good from start to finish. She works with your ear/body anatomy to curate the best look for you. Seriously, the best!!

I stopped in on a busy Saturday night when my internally threaded piercing came unscrewed. Kay was so kind and helpful and quickly got things fixed. My piercing is about 8 years old and I got it pierced at a different shop but Kay had no issues with that and she was happy to help me. Ill definitely be back for my next piercing. Thanks Kay!

Got my first tattoo on saturday(july 1st) and had the best experience ever!! the atmosphere in the show was so nice and everyone was welcoming!! magz did an amazing job with the tattoo and made me feel so comfortable!! she did an amazing job putting my idea on paper and turning it into a tattoo! the tattoo turned out amazing and i will 100000% be coming back for my other tattoos!!!

Kay pierced both my forward helix on my ears and I am more than satisfied with both the piercing and the entire experience! Kay is super awesome, informative, and above all extremely professional. I came all the way down from Vegas and let me tell you I’ve had horrible experiences in my city with piercings, however Kay did a spectacular job! I did a walk-in tattoo here—their walk-in process is great! I appreciated how organized and friendly everyone was. Instead of sitting and waiting your turn, they put your name and phone number on a wait list. I got there early, walked/shopped a little, they called, and I got my tattoo. Was not my first tattoo, but I’d definitely recommend this place for someone’s first (or second, third, fourth…🙂)! Getting a tattoo is sometimes a little scary, but the atmosphere and the personable artists here make the experience a comfortable and enjoyable one!

I had Kay as my piercer . She did an awesome job! Not a long wait at all and just did a walk in! She was very gentle and did a good job explaining all the steps and talked me threw it! I highly recommend!! Super clean place too!

Mags has done two of my tattoos and each time she’s been professional, sanitary, and open minded to my ideas. Aside from that, she is also incredibly friendly and helped soothe my anxiety by talking to me about anything and everything. I’ll be coming to her for the rest of my tattoos and so should everyone else!

As someone who was scared out of my mind going into this for the first time, I could not have asked for a better experience. I had designed my own small tattoo, and Nic did some touch ups that I loved. They talked me through everything and made me feel really comfortable. If youve never gotten a tattoo before, 10/10 would recommend Vishnu Bunny.Also, if you happen to be someone who passes out (like me), try to tell them in advance :)

Just left my trout a single employee saying a word of greeting to us for 15 minutes while we stood at the counter. Employees were chitchatting in a back room, kept coming out and looked at us but didn’t say a word and went back in. There was also a girl sitting in a tattoo chair waiting for her tattoo. Definitely suck at customer service

I got an industrial piercing done today and wow, Amie is amazing. All the praise in the reviews is entirely deserved. Saturdays are walk-in, first come first served. I only waited maybe 20 minutes during a pretty busy afternoon and then it was time to rock and roll! She explained everything that was going to happen and reminded me to take big breaths and pierced during the exhales. Ive always always wanted an industrial and Im so glad I waited and did it here!

I had gotten a tattoo here previously from an artist that is no longer there and LOVED IT. Had a great experience. This time around for my eight and ninth ones (done at the same time) I had a different experience. Communication was delayed getting the appointment, and I had to double check the day of that I still had it considering I got an email late evening the night before, the artist asking when I had my appointment made? The artist was friendly enough in person and I thought we were on the same page of what I wanted. Simple clean line work. The tattoos have healed and look like they were free handed, nothing like the stencils. And it appears as if the pressure was too heavy in places, the ink being blown out into the skin and too light in others where you can’t even tell there was a line there. I reached out via Facebook messenger as I was told to do to see if there was anything that could be done or if they do retouches, as I live out of town it needs to be scheduled a ways out. And got no response. Pretty disappointing to see a place I once recommended so highly have service like this and to have tattoos looking like someone freehanded them.

Came in to get a replacement stud for my cartilage piercing, Kay was the sweetest from start to finish! Super knowledgeable and made the process easy. I will definitely be coming here for my next piercing!

Salomon got me in 2 days in advance. Came up with a design close to my concept and offered new good advice. I love my new tat I just got yesterday. Will definitely be going back! The shop is very clean and friendly. As a side note-they dont tat minors, even with parental consent.

My mom and I were wanted to get matching tattoos done, we were very excited and couldnt wait to get tattooed at Vishnu Bunny. At first, the responses were a little slow, but it wasnt horrible. We were able to set up an appointment and a time and our artist was very kind. The day of we were beyond excited, but 6 hours before our appointment we received an email canceling our tattoo session due to a scheduling error our artist had made. It was due to a festival that had been advertised for many days, but we only received a message a couple hours before. Then, to make matters worse, the emails that I sent back to inquire about an alternative time were left unanswered until late into the evening of the next day. Very unprofessional.

Went in for a simple jewelry change, piercer seemed to do a good job & knew what he was doing, but $80 later I got an earring that started to oxidize in my ear. It turned dark brown, & when I went to a different shop to have the jewelry changed they said it was due to it being a low quality metal. For $80 I would have thought they had high quality jewelry, but obviously not!

Dale is absolutely amazing! Thanks for everything, better be ready for more business ha ha! He is very compassionate with his clients and he puts all 100 percent into his work and IT SHOWS. All other agents are also very helping and nice.

We recently had my 7-year-old daughters ears pierced at Vishnu Bunny Tattoo & Piercing. Amie was amazing. She was extremely professional all while being very personable. She went out of her way to make my wife and I feel at ease and answered all of our questions before we were able to think of them ourselves! Most importantly she made my 7-year-old daughter feel extremely comfortable from start to finish. During the dry run trough without a sharp needle, she did such a great job that when it was time for the real thing my daughter didnt even want to hold my wife or my hand let alone sit with her.I know there are cheaper options for piercings but I would not entertain those options for 1 second now that we have experienced the great work Amie does. Plus the technique and equipment Amie uses are far superior compared to the piercing gun in the hands of an inexperienced mall employee who as well-meaning as they might be should not be putting holes in peoples bodies!If you are needing a piercing and especially if you are getting your first or have a child getting their first piercing I strongly recommend you contact Amie at Vishnu Bunny Tattoo & Piercing!

Ive heard nothing but good things about Vishnu for years and recently that was solidified by having my own experience. The shop is clean. The artists are friendly and helpful. Ill be back next week!

I have had several tattoos done at Vishnu....dating all the way back to 2002 and their old old location. The most recent piece I had done was with Simon in June and even though things were a little sideways because of COVID, it was a great experience. They are limiting the number of people allowed in the shop, even locking the doors to prevent walk-ins. Simons area was super clean and we had been in contact via email ahead of time to discuss what I wanted. Great experience and Simons artistry is even better.

Tattoos seem nice as when my first time in they chatted with me when I finished getting pierced and were very welcoming but I wouldnt recommend getting pierced here. I got pierced and they ended being horribly uneven as well as a generally unwelcoming experience for someone who is not used to piercing shops. The piercer was very cold and seemed angry that I was even there. I did end up coming back to get re-pierced to even it out for free which was a huge relief but was told they would now no longer pierce me after this which I am unsure why because I did my best to be very polite after paying over 200 dollars for piercings (as well as 30 dollars for jewelry if I remember correctly but this may be wrong) to be uneven. While being re-pierced she was very cold and fed up with me as well as feeling as though she was passive aggressive towards me for pointing out that they were uneven and that her offering a free fix for it was very gracious and i should be thankful that she even did it (I thought it would be standard). Now that my piercing has completely healed and i’ve downsized to a smaller jewelry I see that it is STILL uneven, it is just slightly less obvious at first glance but if you look at my face (ex. having a conversation) it is easily seen.Would’ve wrote this review sooner but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t still uneven from swelling but now I am sure.On another note they had a apprentice there while I was being re-pierced who was very sweet and offered reassurance while I was being pierced which a very welcomed gesture after my piercer being so cold and almost passive aggressive towards me for saying she had done my piercing unevenly.

Asher did an amazing job! It being my first tattoo she made me feel very comfortable and confident in what I wanted. If you’re looking for a place that take what they do very seriously and listen to what you want, this is the place to go! These people are artists and they treat every tattoo like a piece of art.

Communicated with one of the artists about a tattoo cover up I was interested in. I sent pictures and was told I needed to purchase a $50 gift card to secure a booking and then send over the redemption code. I did that, all within 48 hours of initial communication on October 1st. I have since messaged and called and have yet to be scheduled, much less acknowledged. Conveniently the $50 deposit is non-refundable. Incredibly unprofessional and tacky to take money and not make a paying customer a priority.

My friend went here for a belly piercing that got infected after a year of having it the guy she went to told her “he would’ve never pierced her because of her body type” (she’s not model skinny but has a lil fat the comment was so disrespectful and targeted they will not be getting business from anyone we know based on that comment. -EDIT= sorry it was a girl apparently named Kay I thought she said he but she corrected me when I asked her more in-depth and said it was a girl and that their name was Kay. I did try calling the shop twice and no one picked up.

Had a tattoo done about two years ago of script writing. Really nice atmosphere and wonderful artist, however the ink they use fades really quickly. The ink faded quicker than the tattoo I got when I was 18 that’s located on the same place, opposite arm. The words are non legible now.

I have two daughters that have gotten their first ear piercing done here now and have been beyond satisfied with this place. Erik is great with kids and makes the whole experience great. Great art on the wall and a welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

I met an artist named Rob who is Very professional and very patient Rob always goes above and beyond to make customers Happy! I highly recommend Rob Carda if your looking to get a tattoo!

My daughter had her nose and ears pierced. The woman who did it was awesome. She thourouly explained the after care and she was very patient. Great place.

All I can say is FREAKING AMAZING!!! I came here for my first tattoo and will never go ANYWHERE else!!! Getting your first tattoo is obviously a tad nerve racking but they made me feel so comfortable and walked me through everything. Dale did my first and kept me completely informed about everything having to do with my tattoo. Literally just got done getting my second tat from Johnny....and he is freaking awesome too! Everything about this place screams professional! Not only are they stellar at what they do, their customer service is fantastic and they completely connect with you on a personal level. I got a tattoo here and even though it doesn’t look like what I wanted at first, it ended up looking better than the original picture. Tattoo artist name was Hack and I would highly recommend coming here for tattoos. Everyone was very nice and it was a judgmental free zone, my tattoo looks phenomenal and I’m glad I came here.

I got my septum pierced here, very professional -made me feel very comfortable!! I also have two tattoos from Vishnu, they are both done well and in good condition! Very willing to fit you in their schedule, I had called and asked for an appointment for that day after work -I live an hour away so when they set up an appointment for me that day I was grateful!Highly recommend!

Im from Charlotte, NC. And only here until August. Ive lived in Sioux Falls for 2 months now and have had a hard time, I wanted a new tattoo to commemorate my time here before I leave, I wanted something meaningful and Mike from Vishnu fave me EXACTLY. What I wanted, it wasnt anything major. But be took care of me although it was. I am so thankful. Yall are awesome!

I had a pretty good experience with a temporary traveling tattoo artist here. I got my tattoo done and it was my third. I messaged them online on their Facebook page to see if I could get in for the Toys for Tats sale and I got an immediate response from Ryan Porath who was temporarily working here. I made an appointment with him on a Saturday shortly after to get my tattoo drawn. He ended up turning me away when I arrived because of a scheduling mistake where another person and I got booked at the same time. He was very pleasant and apologetic about the situation which made it easier to reschedule instead of going elsewhere. We decided that I would send him all of my ideas and pictures and that he would draw it in his spare time and keep me updated to make sure it was what I wanted. The next appointment I had scheduled also got rescheduled because he messaged me and told me he thought the drawing wasnt quite finished and wanted to add more. After seeing the rough draft I agreed that I wanted more added and found out that we werent on the complete sam page with the layout of my tattoo. He apologized for that and said he would fix it and that he would see me at now the third appointment I scheduled. When I got to the appointment this final time he informed me that he still wasnt done with it and had me wait for almost 3 hours for him to finish it. Once he was done I was there for another 7-8 hours to do the tattoo. I am happy with how it turned out although I feel like some spots are done slightly sloppy. The tattoo itself took 6 hours to complete and he told me he wanted me to come back another time so that he could add white to highlight some areas and that he would do it for free. When I talked to him a week or two later to see when I could come in, he informed me that he was told so he couldnt do the additional work on my tattoo for free but that he could give me the Toys for Tats sale a second time. I told him that I couldnt afford to pay anymore since I paid already with all my savings. He said I could still get it done for free and that he would deal with it. We set a time for me to come in to get this done but I had to cancel. I havent heard from since and dont know if I trust going back. I feel good about the tattoo I have but not sure I am okay getting anything else done here. I havent heard the greatest things and didnt have the greatest experience myself.

Solomon Carlson is my tattooist and my husband and I are always over the moon with his work! (He tattoos my husband also). Unique style and color combos make for something truly epic and unique. I have never had a problem with any of the staff. They are all professional and courteous. We plan to always go to Vishnu.

My wife and I came in to get her noise pierced. Amie was very kind and professional. She certainly knows her stuff and enjoys what she does! Highly recommend. Only thing I would change is that it was unknown to us that appointments were required. Other than that, would work with them again in a heartbeat.

From my first visit to my last - you know youre dealing with a shop that is original, creative, professional and one that truly cares about their clients and puts a lot of time and effort into giving back to the community as well. I was originally so excited when I got a tattoo a year ago here. I heard it was a trusted place and the artist’s portfolios looked great. I had a lady who I asked to do a rose on my arm. I liked the piece originally and then noticed many novice mistakes - mainly because I saw her starting/finishing the sketch haphazardly before my appointment. It’s beyond the point of touch-ups and just looks messy. Then I asked her to do a cover up. I could tell she was nervous to do it but instead of advising me to go to someone who has more experience, she did it anyway. It ended up looking like a huge black blob (the only word I can find to describe it). I immediately left the building after paying and fell into tears. I’m into my 5th session of lazer removal and down so much money because of it. It makes me sad because I really think this is a great location and I understand that mistakes happen, but it just seems to continually be a disappointment - and one that changed my life. I’m embarrassed of my tattoos to the point I can no longer wear short sleeves and can only wear long sleeves to cover up the mess of my arm tattoos. Not sure if there’s much anyone can do now.

Jeff is the Mann! He worked with me on the design of my arm piece to make sure it was 100% what I had imagined! He changed details and would ask about colors, symbols etc. to make a perfect piece. The shop is clean, comfortable and very welcoming. Cant recommend a better shop!

I called to make an appointment and was told I had an appointment the next day at 8pm. Ryan told me he had me and my friend on the calendar. He asked me to email him, which I did with no response. I messaged the shop on Facebook and did get a message back but only about he hadn’t received our email of the tattoo yet. We emailed again and called the shop multiple times. We had to get babysitter and showed up at the shop at 8 and he told us he never actually booked us and that he had booked someone else instead.

Awesome environment very friendly, was very calm, outstanding detail in this tatoo and affordable pricing recommended this place for your tattoo needs!

Still waiting for my refund, the lack or professionalism here is staggering. Everytime I call I get postponed and told that my artist isnt in but will call me when she is. No response. She gave me her personal cell and I called and text her. Nothing. At this point Im completely unsatisfied and very annoyed. Was told hours for Piercings on Sunday would be 4-8 last Monday, & confirmed twice over phone. Drove over an hour. :( Closed, and the guy actually leaves at 4, which thankfully whoever it was that unlocked their door let us know. Hopefully can leave a great review when my daughter and I can make it in another time/day.

Kay did such a wonderful job on my eyeliner, high quality and it looks amazing. I also got my lip pierced and it was equally awesome!!! Definitely recommend them!!!

My boyfriend and I went to check out the artists and talk about getting another tattoo. However when we entered the shop no one greeted us. We were there for 20min looking at books waiting for someone to talk to. We saw an artist finishing up and two more wondering around so we figured “let’s give them a few minutes to catch up” however still nothing. A few minutes later a group of girls came in to look at jewelry and immediately they were greeted. I enjoyed the art bust customer service is terrible. Hope this doesn’t happen to everyone.

As of 3 years ago, they do well with tattoos. However, recently I tried to get in contact to add to a piece I had done there and get my daughters ears pierced and they dont respond to messages nor answer the phone unfortunately. *as of February 17th and March 23rd 2023*

I love this place !! Mike did a wonderful job and made my tattoo perfect . I was hesitant to get shading but he nailed it . everyone was friendly , one of the guys showed me pictures of his cat and he was hilarious . next time I get a tattoo itll be at Vishnu ! Youll get quality and professionalism . I couldnt be happier !

Never had a bad experience here yet. All the artists have been friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun. Walked in and got pierced right away every time. Have a tattoo appointment as well, cant wait.

My experience was amazing! I have gotten 2 tattoos from here and each and every time I received top notch customer experience! Everyone was so nice and they really know how to use a tattoo gun :) Never had a problem with them! I had nothing but an absolutely wonderful time getting my first tattoo with Solomon. His artwork is incredible, and made my first tattoo a breeze even though I have “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” skin. Would recommend to anyone.

Of the places I have been, Vishnu Bunny and Dale are the best! I usually bring my own pic and give Dale the freedom to alter and improve. He has done amazing artistry and placement to enhance and tie all existing pieces together. Dale will be completing the rest of any and all work I want to have done in the future.

I had a poor experience when I first went in to discuss a piercing. I wrote a review about it and the head piercer contacted me and made things right. He was courteous and professional. I could not recommend Vishnu Bunny more highly. The quick response to my bad experience speaks to Vishnus expertise in their skill, and Vishnu experience!!!

Aric is great with piercings! He has helped with my daughters ears and provided us with great high quality allergy free earings. He did my wifes piercing to relieve headaches and so far so good! Very clean shop and you can tell employees pay close attention to the health of the customers!

Incredibly friendly service, wanna hang some weekend there, they have good n live music! Professional service and just straight up really nice. Very sanitary service and free after care!

Ive had 4 piercings done here. They were pretty expensive but the shop is very clean and overall a welcoming environment. My one complaint is that Eric is hard to get ahold of, you call and ask if he’s there and then 20 minutes later when you get there he isn’t there anymore.

Had a tatoo done on my foot 3 years ago, amazing. It is still so bright and beautiful. They were very professional and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend them.

I am changing my original review as the owner did reach out and made up for what originally happen. When an owner is willing to make a wrong they deserve a second chance. Mistakes happen and I am very happy for the way they tried to rectify what happened. Changed to 5 stars.

Went in to get septum piercings (friend and I) and she told us they aren’t doing them. When asked if she recommended another shop she told us just go wherever you’re comfortable, we’re from out of town so we didn’t know of too many others

Recently, my friend and I got messed up belly piercings at another piercing place so we went into Vishnu to talk to Erik about them and get his advice. He immediately told us to take the piercings out and that in 4 weeks we can come back to him and he’ll redo it for a discounted price. Customer service doesn’t get much better than that 🤩

Walked in and no one was around for a while. Paid 40 bucks for them to draw out a tat i wanted and the drawing looked nothing even close to the one i showed them a picture of - no detail or originality whatsoever. Didnt even bother going back in to get refunded my 40 bucks.

Easy to get in-and-out in under 30 minutes for a nose piercing change of piercing. Place is clean and people are friendly!

Everyone who was there when I stopped in was extremely rude. It took forever for someone to help me, and there was only one other customer there that I saw. I went to get my ear pierced. When they finally did help me, the guy screwed it up the first time and had to repierce it. Im never going back there again.
