I’ve only been here for piercings but this is honestly my favorite place I’ve ever gotten a piercing at. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, super nice. I did have a problem with a piercing bump that wouldn’t go away for about a month and I finally came in to ask for help and they were so very helpful. He changed my piercing out for me free of charge and gave me tips on what to do to help get the piercing bump to go away. He made sure to let me know not to hesitate coming in if I have any concerns or questions. I think it was very nice of them to do that for me. Most places would’ve charged me for this but he said they want their customers to be happy with what they paid for. I will be coming back for all my future piercings! :)

Been wanting to get my nose re-pierced for some time and finally bit the bullet. Ben did an AWESOME job, i honestly didn’t feel a thing! I Will absolutely be coming back for more!

I was looking for someone to do a walk in for For piercings So I called them.They answered immediately.And ive Got straight to point to get a person like. Do you guys do walk in for piercings? They were like yes, and I got it. Im very happy, very happy cause I went through so many phone calls so many denies or so many people. To get my nose Pierced.

This shop is the absolute best. I went in looking for new jewelry for my spider bites, and it was a great experience. The jewelry selection is vast and they were able to color my chosen rings in 5 minutes. Ill be going here for any and all piercing needs from now on.

I came in around Easter time to get my ears pierced. Ben took care of me and did a amazing job. When the experience was over I Immediately wanted more ! Planning my next visit/piercing. Highly recommend coming here.

Went with a couple of my girlfriends to get our nipples pierced. After doing a little research we decided the electric crayon was the place to go for what we wanted done. Dan was awesome and thorough with every step up to getting the piercings and the after care. We had a really good experience. I highly recommend going here for your piercings.

My wife and I took our daughter in to get her ears done. The owner was very kind and personally took care of her. Very comfortable environment. Plan to go again if another kid gets froggy.

First time here. Tyler is an amazing tattoo artist! Made me feel comfortable and made sure to get the tattoo just right. Place is easy to find. Cool vibes all the way around. Will definitely be coming back.

Didnt have to wait long. Plus, the guy was really friendly. Even caught me off guard and started piercing my ear and nose mid conversation, lol. Overall, it has a good atmosphere and an awesome place to go to get a piercing.

Took my daughter in for her 17th birthday for her first piercing, her nose, and they made her feel very comfortable, and gave all the info she needed for aftercare. Well definitely be going back for more! Thank you for giving her such a wonderful experience!

I had a tattoo today with Tyler. He was professional and yet laid back and made the environment comfortable. He had my art work ready to go and printed numerous sizes so I could pick what I wanted and actually see it on my arm. He laid the temporary stencil and let me look at it for a little and make sure I liked the placement and size before moving forward. During the tattoo he kept a conversation with me which really helped. I felt very comfortable during the whole process. After he gave clear after care instructions and made sure I understood them. Price was just shop minimum which I felt was very fair. It didn’t even hurt as much as I thought it would which honestly a nice surprise because given where it’s placed I really thought it would be quite painful. Overall I would highly recommend Tyler. He’s easy to talk to always prepared and does a great job making his clients feel comfortable.

I would not spend your money here. Service was extremely rude, even for a tattoo shop. I went in for a piercing with Dan, who I had been pierced by several times years ago, only to find that his behavior is appalling rude. Much worse than it used to be. The other piercer that works there is very nice however. I would just spend my money at one of the other shops in town.

I came in for a walk in to get my septum pierced and it was such a quick and easy service!! We came in with a fella working through a line by himself and he got to us in no time! Super friendly 2 ((:

This was the worst tattoo shop experience of mine or my wifes lives. My wife was I an accident at work about a week ago and was feeling pretty down. We went out and had some lunch and met up with my mother who suggested that she and my wife go get a piercing together. I went with for moral support. We are met at the front door of the shop by a young lady who looking very unimpressed asks What do you want my instinct was to turn around and walk out the door. But hoping this would cheer my wife up I simply said that my wife and mother would like to get a piercing together. The young lady walked away without saying another word to us. Then a man came from the back of the shop and said that he was the piercer an asked what they would like. My wife informed him that she had tried to get this piercing before but wasnt able to go through with it. He rolled his eyes and said great! This is how I am going to start my day undeterred my wife decided to go through with it. We went back and the piercer,Im not sure of his name he never offered it, tells my wife to sit on the table. Small talk insues. He begins to pierce my wife without giving her any warning. Her leg moves and he pulls off his gloves and tells my wife that she is done and to get out and not come back! Flabbergasted at seeing a grown man throw this unprofessional tantrum. We do just that. My wife has used this shop exclusively for her tattoos, piercings and jewelry. We will never spend another dime in this shop. The level of unprofessionalism is astounding. Zero stars!

A friend and I came in together and Ben did both of our piercings. I got both my eyebrows and my friend got his bridge, and Ben was so wonderful! He took his time getting the placement perfect and was really accommodating when I needed a glucose tablet and some water :’) Highly recommend!

Definitely recommend for ear piercings. My daughter needed to have her ears professionally done this time. Another place we went to a couple of years ago, messed up and we were not going to go through that again.

Got my nose pierced and came in about 30 min before they closed off piercings for the night and they still got everything done by close. dan is great and very chill. great experience overall. will be coming for my snake bites!

Called on a whim to see if I could get a tattoo during my stay in Sioux Falls. Luckily for me the artist had a no-show. Professional and clean shop. Mark was great! Highly recommend 🤘

I have had so many things done here! Three tattoos done by Tyler in total. I have also had almost every single piercing done here which include belly button, tragus, upper lobe on each ear, helix and nose. I have nothing but good things to say from each visit. I will only go here from now on!

Went to get my piercings put back in after surgery. He took me back, helped another customer, then answered the phone, then helped a customer, then finally put in my earrings… incorrectly. Had to go to another shop to get them put in right. Wont be coming back.

Mark was amazing! This was my first tattoo experience and he made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Mark took the time to help me with the design and I never once felt rushed deciding on my final design. He did a great job explaining the aftercare. The facility is very nice and clean. Overall, great experience. If Im getting another tattoo, the EC is where Im headed!

I had problems finding someone that would pierce my ear using an expensive bar Electric Crayon did it for me . I didnt want to drive 90 miles just for that the piercer was amazing I will be back I have one more to put back in

Dan did my industrial a few months back (healed perfectly) and referred me to Mark to fix a bad hand tattoo, my appointment today was everything i wanted, my tattoo looks amazing and cant wait for it to heal! I will definitely be scheduling soon for another tattoo!Edit: Marks work looks fabulous The bad linework done by another artist will forever be visible and Mark managed to make it look like natural texture THANK YOU MARK!!

So I spent a total of 289 bucks on 4 piercings, a 55 dollar tip just for an end result of all of my piercings to get infected. Literally my skin growing almost over the piercings. I went to go talk to the lady that had done my piercings and brought the piercings in and her first response was, “Well, I’m sure you didn’t get that done here. We don’t carry those sizes.” Baffled by first of all, the customer service… I responded, “Um yes I sure did, I was the A-hole who came in 5 minutes before close but tipped like 50 bucks.” She then kept denying it and we went back and forth on it. She then asked finally if I had a receipt and I said, “I’m sure I can find it.” I went home super disappointed, $289 bucks down the drain, no solution. Also to note, the piercings turned purple when I had taken them out to bring them in and cleaned them? I don’t think they’re supposed to do that. Later on I went through my emails and Text messages and I did in fact, find my receipt. Only in time for it to be too late to do anything about for sure. This is a company I will never come back to seeing as the customer service was very poor.Side note, my boyfriend pierced 6 piercings on my ears all for almost free. Ordered the gun on Amazon for the set of earrings and gun for about 12 bucks? Go crazy with it 😂

I have gotten my septum, nose, and industrial piercing done here and I have had an amazing time healing with no keloids or anything! Hoping to get my eyebrow done sometime soon too!

They were amazing. I got my helix pierced as a walk in. They made me feel so comfortable and were so knowledgeable about anything I asked . Would highly recommend them to anyone especially people who get a little nervous.

Ive gotten two piercings here-- a rook and a helix-- and both were great experiences. The staff is professional and personable. Ill definitely be coming back in the future. The only thing to note is that the wait for a walk-in can be a little long on weekends, so its not a bad idea to call ahead!

I came in as a walk-in piercing, and I was out of there within 45 minutes! I got my second nostril piercing, and Ben was the piercer. Super friendly guy with an amazing eye for placement! The location is very clean, and I highly recommend this shop for anyone with piercing anxiety.

YES YES YES! A place for my girlies who want to get a piercing here! I got my septum pierced and it didnt hurt much! Well. tbh only hurt 1/10! Tbh it had my bestie hold my hand to distract me from it!(: When the guy out the needle through my nose I didnt notice at all! SO PLEASE GET YOUR SEPTUM OR WHATEVER YOU WANT DONE HERE!!!💕

The awesome people here. Have had many piercings done there and taken my youngest there also. Ty did the tattoo work and was awesome. He helped reinforce dont get a tattoo from just anyone. Gave examples of excuses people use to not be legitimate and licensed. Highly recommend and will return for more..

Absolutely great experience! Walked in for a piercing and no appointment was necessary. Got my nostril pierced here and Dan was super friendly and explained everything he was doing. Super gentle hand and I barely even felt the needle going in for the piercing. 100000% recommend this shop for any of your tattoo and piercings needs!

Walked in without an appointment. Dan did an excellent job piercing my sons ears. Not only was he professional, but more importantly he was friendly, and explained everything in detail, including the importance of keeping the piercing clean. I cant get my son to read anything, but at Dans suggestion, he read that aftercare sheet beginning to end and is actually following the instructions. Thanks for making his experience a pleasant one!

The BEST piercing I have ever had and I have 8 preexisting piercings. Got my helix pierced and it was the smoothest piercing I’ve ever had. Super comfortable environment and super great experience. My friends and I all got our helixes pierced and all had the same experience. 10/10 would recommend and will be returning!!

I got my helix and second piercing done with them about 2 days ago and the guy who did it for me was really nice about it. I was really nervous but he made it less nerve wrecking and afterwards said I did a good job haha. Made me feel great about my piercings and I honestly love them. Was quick but gentle! Totally recommend them for piercings! I’ll be getting my piercings here from now on :)

10 out of 10 people with ears would recommend coming here and getting a piercing. Dan and the rest of the staff were super friendly about getting me matching jewelry and giving me suggestions a newby like myself can understand. Got my ears pierced earlier today by Ben, was a super fast and pretty much painless trip! Ben was super awesome, honest, and funny. Would recommend coming here, the vibes are wonderful!

Ive been going to The Electric Crayon since I got my first tattoo at 18. I have gotten 4 pieces total from the artist Tyler and its always been a great experience. What I wanted to say here today, I got my septum done last night. It was not my first piercing, or even my first nose piercing so I had an idea of what I expected. I went in, picked out my jewelry and went back for the piercing. There was a little set back from when I had attempted to pierce my septum myself when I was 16 (because 16 year olds make amazing choices) but the piercer, Dan, did an amazing job taking his time to make the process as smooth as possible. Once he did the piercing, it was pretty much painless, albeit a little uncomfortable (as it is when shoving a needle through flesh). I had been warned that its an intense piercing. After the piercing was completed and I was ready to be on my merry way, I got woozy and lightheaded. Dan was paying attention and asked if I was okay. I said I wanted to lay down for a minute and he was happy to oblige. While I was recovering, we chit-chatted and he did a great job of making sure I was comfortable and okay. I did not feel rushed, even though they were rather busy as Saturday evenings in Sioux Falls tend to be. I was given a bottle of water and he did a phenomenal job of watching out for my wellbeing and explaining that this tends to happen with the septum piercing. It was an overwhelmingly positive expirence, as I have come to expect from this shop. They always not only meet my expectations, but exceed them. This is a shop you feel comfortable and safe in. Theyre very welcoming and friendly people, even when theyre busy. Ive always been a fan and I will continue using this shop for my future tattoo and piercings needs. 10/10 will and do recommend to my friends and strangers 🤘🏻

I go to Ben for all my piercings he did my first ever piercing that wasnt a lobe piercing and always made sure I am always comfortable so far he has done 4 of my piercings and I will never go anywhere else!

Got my septum pierced here. My fiance got his tattoo here. The staff was great. You can tell they are very experienced and take pride in what they do. They were very professional and take great care in keeping everything sterile. Highly recommend this place. Cant wait to do business again.

I’ve gotten two cartilage piercings along with my thirds done here over a couple of years and got my rook today and it was amazing every time! didn’t feel a thing and they all healed well and look great.

I have had multiple piercings done at the Electric Crayon and I always have a great experience. Both Dan and Ben are very knowledgeable piercers willing to take the time to answer questions. Its very affordable (but doesnt sacrifice quality) and super clean. Would highly recommend.

I went in to see Dan for a piercing and I was very impressed. The shop was so clean it smelled sterile! Dan answered all of my questions plus questions I wanted to ask but he beat me to them. He gave in depth answers to make sure I understood everything happening. Ive had no problems with my piercings and no horror story to tell. Its everything I wanted. Professional is an understatement. Id recommend him to everyone.

I got my septum piercing a few days ago and it was the best experience a first timer could ask for. They made me feel really comfortable and welcomed. It was great!

My sister was getting her Eyebrow pierced and the people there are sooo nice, they just held a great conversation and my sister said she didnt even feel it because she was focusing on the conversation! Would suggest here for everybody, but especially if youre a nervous one. Enjoy the conversation and awesome new piercing youll get!

Clean facility. Very friendly and helpful employee. Gave us lots of information on taking care of my 12 year old daughters ear care for her first earrings. She was nervous going in but they were very smooth and comforting. I was giving recommendations to go here by several friends/family and Im glad we did!

I had the nicest piercer today, I believe his name was Dan. He made the experience so much fun and even made me laugh, I’m sure he could tell I was on edge. It was fast and virtually painless. Very fun atmosphere and would definitely recommend.

Outstanding! Ive had four tattoos done my Mark recently, and each one is superb. The lines are flawless, the designs imaginative and eye-catching. And his use of color, shading and depth give my body art more personality and flair than I ever could have expected.The entire establishment is helpful, informative and overall exceptional. Ive been to several other tattoo places, and none compare to the Electric Crayon. I highly recommend it.

Went in for a septum piercing and it was a great experience! Affordable and very clean, Dan made the piercing quick but accurate and almost painless. I highly recommend Dan for first timers or those who are experienced in receiving piercings as hes all around great at what he does.

I had a memorial tattoo done here yesterday by Tyler. We did a violet rose and watercolor splashes in the background and my grandmas handwriting was underneath. The tattoo came out better than I imagined. One thing is for sure, I walked out with a smile. Tyler also gave great advice and he really wanted to make sure that I liked it and that I liked where it went. It turned out amazing and I couldnt be happier. The shop also smells clean as soon as you walk in so you can tell they take really good care of the place. The staff is all super friendly as well. I dont think Ill be going anywhere else for a tattoo this place is the best!!

These are the best group of guys you will ever meet. They are truly unique and amazing. The work and precision and care they offer reflects back in the work they do. They are the best shop i have come across in this area. My kids and i both have had tattooes and piercings done and have always been 100% satisfied.... Dans awesome! Not only is he obsessively sterile and hygienic, but hes highly skilled and lets you know everything you need to know to make a good decision. Hes great at putting you at ease and gives easy-to-follow aftercare instructions. Hes the only piercer Ill go to.

Piercer wasnt annoyed by my multitude of questions before and after my tongue piercing. He explained the piercing in great detail, was very sanitary and fast but accurate with the process. He helped my friend and my nerves before we got our piercings by telling us about himself and his history in the piercing business. The piercing turned out great and well come back again c:

Did some body piercings and Ben was very professional. He talked me through the entire time tondistract me (Im a big baby when it comes to needles..even though I have multiple piercings and tattoos). Will definitely go there again!

First ever tattoo, i was referred to Tyler. I had to come in a little late but he got me in with no fuss. Clean facility, private doors to each booth.Tyler was professional, funny, easy to work with and made sure that I was satisifed. I had my belly button redone here and apparently Thursday afternoon is a busy time for them. The staff was nice but rushed through my peircing. Though in the end, Im happy with the way it turned out. The ring is straight and healing nicely.

I went to Vishnu Bunny for a septum piercing and had a horrible experience. Electric Crayon was 100x better. I was in and out within 10 minutes, clean, professional, and friendly! No complaints & would recommend for piercings!

Got my ears pierced at another shop (now closed) but come here for replacements and new ideas because this shop is friendly, clean, and fun. They have some great selectiona for piercing and their tattoos look rad.

Got a big arm piece done. I let the guy freehand it leaving spots he started to ink but didn’t finish. He went really deep in spots scarring my arm. I went back to him and he said nothing was wrong with it. I’ve gotten ink done before and it turned out good. I’m glad I found a guy who could fix it and make it look some what decent. I do not recommend this place at all

This was my first tattoo and I was very nervous. Tyler did mine. They were very helpful and nice. Definitely recommend for first timers.

Put to short of bar in for my Monroe piercing. It caused the jewel to embed into my skin, I tried to get into them to get it fixed but they were just closing. Said come back Monday. Thank-God Outlaws was still open and fixed it for me. They put a longer bar in. All they charged was for the new hardware. They said they have a lot of people coming into business after getting pierced at Electric Crayon with this problem. I love Dan, Ben and all the staff at electric crayon! Being military we don’t live in Sioux Falls, but I make it a point to take trips there from all over the country to visit and get a piercing! My latest constellation piercings!

Had my belly button pierced here and the experience was great. He really knew what he was doing and made sure I was fully informed before, during, and after the ordeal. I plan on coming here for any other tattoos or piercings I get.

I was having a lot of trouble with my piercing I got 9 months prior so I went to a different piercing shop and they said that everything they could have possibly done wrong with my piercing electric crayon did. I ended up having to take the piercing out. Dont even waste your time and money go to somewhere more repetuable in Minneapolis instead where they actually know what theyre doing.

Walked in, was greeted by a wonderful young woman, filled out some paperwork and went in back. The dude was welcoming and very personable! Loved the dog stories! 😁 Highly recommend this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

I went in for a tattoo quote and the man i spoke to about my complex tattoo i wanted to get he took one look at my picture and went back to working on his computer. He never introduced himself never stopped working on his computer and never gave me the respect or attention that a customer deserve when they want to give you business he didnt offer to set up an appointment or ask if he could get a copy of the picture to alter it into tattoo form very rude and unprofessional felt more of a bother. I will take my business else where there are plenty of tattoo shops in sioux falls

Just got my septum done a few days ago he did a really good job was super fast and made it painless they use high quality jewelry and everything included was only 47 bucks

Got my ears first pierced here and they are super chill nice kind and very good at what they do

Went to get some jewelry & accidentally purchased to small of ear rings. The piercer said jewelry that left the store couldnt be returned but said he would give me another pair for free! Will def have my business next time I need more.

This is my 3rd tattoo here and this last time around Thurs, August 28th was probably the saddest experience Ive had. The minute I walked into the door, I was asked by my tattoo artist mind I say, What do you want. And it wasnt very nice, it was kind of rude, no actually it was rude. I almost walked back out.

Piercing came out/ unable to get it back in. Called panicking. Dan saw me right away. Disinfected piercing before putting it back in. No charge. What a courtesy. Will go back again.
