This shop is very clean and all of the staff were excellent every time I’ve been in. Tehya did a 3 full day session on my shin and she truly did a phenomenal job!! She has great attention to detail and is very light handed. She designed and executed an amazing piece for me, I have nothing but great things to say about her and the work she did. I can’t wait to go back and get other pieces done!!

Chris, Tim, and the crew at Thousand Oaks Tattoo are first class all the way. I contacted Chris about a year ago. I had a tattoo that I wanted to cover up, and had laser removal done to give them a better canvas. Chris was very supportive and understood the process and encouraged the laser removal to help have a better final product. I didn’t have to completely remove the tattoos but make them lighter was very beneficial.During the process Chris and I spoke on the phone. He was completely understanding and listened to my thoughts on a design. If something didn’t feel right Chris wasn’t upset or judgmental he just pivoted and gave out more ideas. I felt very confident that Chris would complete the project. During the process there was some space for Chris to freehand the tattoo and I felt more than confident he would deliver. I couldn’t be more pleased with the final piece.Throughout the last year Chris has been timely and responsive in our conversations whether it was text, email, or phone.During the tattoo sessions I showed up at 10:00 and he was always ready to go. I never had to wait or worry about a cancelation, and all the time went to tattooing. Furthermore, Tim was also there and photographing the whole process which gave a great timeline of the sleeve. His photos are excellent and you can view them on IG page. Lunch was catered if I needed a break, but honestly Chris isn’t “heavy handed” so the sessions were always smooth and the time went fast.Thank you guys again, can’t wait for another project! I’d recommend Thousand Oaks time and time again. Spend the money it’s first class service and you won’t regret it. You’ll have finished project that you’re proud of and have it the whole process documented.

I worked specifically with Tehya Maxwell and she was fantastic. The whole process was super easy and straightforward. Her consult was very accurate for the piece I wanted and it came out absolutely fantastic! The shop was full of absolutely amazing professionals and it was super clean with a welcoming atmosphere. I cannot recommend Tehya or this shop enough. I can say the ~3 hour drive was definitely worth it!

Outstanding Tattoo shop. All of the artists are friendly and knowledgeable. From design of the tattoo to execution, just outstanding service. One of the coolest things though is how much the artists would make rounds and learn and share techniques, every artist was curious and looking to improve. With the support they give each other, there are strong artists top to bottom here.

Teyha did my memorial tattoo and blew me away !! Her attention to detail is phenomenal and shes very light handed. She took my vision of the half sleeve and excelled beyond what I had hoped for. Its expensive but you get what you pay for and I could not be happier and she managed to finish it in two sessions

Great experience! Nice clean shop! Knowledgeable artists and the vibe was great! Tehya Maxwell is AMAZING and knocked my tattoo out the park!! I love it!! Will def be back and recommend as people keep asking who did my tattoo!!!

Darian, the piercer is a AWESOME human and just love her vibe. She walks you thru every step shes going to be doing and is just really good. She done my daughters ear and nose and she was great with her.

I got a hummingbird done by tehya and I couldnt have had a better experience. Amazing atmosphere and very clean shop. It doesnt even feel like youre in a tattoo shop. Start to finish, she was incredibly detailed and Ive gotten so many compliments on her work. Absolutely will be back for more

I got my half sleeve done by Chris and what an amazing job. Blew my expectations out the water. His artistic views got me above and beyond what I was looking for in my tattoo. Did 3 long days in one week and the staff there were so kind and helpful. Made the time fly. I highly recommend this place to anyone. 10/10 amazing people and place.

Rachel did my ombre powder brows ! She kept my shape that I wanted & that was important to me. She did great work & I enjoyed talking to her throughout the process. She numbed my eyebrows for me multiple times which I appreciated so much! I recommend Rachel for your brow care.

I stopped by here one day while in downtown Springfield to see about having a consultation for a tattoo. The owner Chris was there working and called me over to talk about my idea for the tattoo. He recommended Grace Eckert and gave me her card. After reviewing Grace’s work on Instagram I was excited to work with her. We did the consultation via video chat and scheduled the tattoo about a month later. This was my first tattoo so I was a bit nervous but Grace made the process easy and enjoyable. She took extra time working with me on the design until it was perfect. I couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s better than I ever imagined. Grace is an outstanding artist and is also very friendly and easy to talk to. The studio is very clean, bright and tastefully decorated with photos of local architecture. I highly recommend this place, everyone was kind and talented.

Listen, i usually go to Ink nation in NY to get my tattoos! but this time around I drove all the way to Dayton for a tattoo, and I regretted it. The result wasn’t great, and multiple tattoo artists rated it a 3/10. But I made another 4-hour drive recently, and this time it was worth it. If you’re going to get a tattoo in Dayton, do not go anywhere other than Thousand Oaks—especially if you have darker skin. I love love Tehya Maxwell, she did my work, was honest about her skills and limitations. i will be back to finish my sleeve! Tattoos last forever, so invest in quality. Trust me, it makes all the difference!
