This place was amazing! Greg was 100% the best tattoo artist Ive ever had, he made me feel soo comfortable, talked during my session and Veronica shes amazing with scheduling and making sure you know your appt date and keeps you up to date and even makes sure you know what you want 100% before you get sat down. I am 1000% happy I made the decision to go here by recommendation. 👌👌

Greg is an outstanding artist. The project Ive asked him to do is very large in scale and has been a work in progress. It is really coming along now and Im very satisfied. His calm demeanor is very helpful also. Thanks, Greg and Veronica. You two are awesome.

My brother got his very first tattoo by Greg and it was a hilarious experience for me as little brother is 18 and a bit of wuss.That being said, it was a memorial piece for my grandpa that he freehanded and turned out absolutely stunning.

Honestly I was really excited about my tattoo but there was no willingness to work with me on my tattoo idea. I gave them references and in no way before my appointment did they hint that they were going in another direction with my tattoo mind you I put a $100 deposit down... so I showed up thinking I’m getting something similar or a twist on the reference photos. That didn’t happened. Greg said they did research on my culture for my tattoo. The “design” he came up with was a coqui with wings slapped onto it. You could tell it was a quick job and no thought out into it. I was so disappointed I wanted to cry but I was willing to still work with him and discuss further even though I drove all the way from Seattle he didn’t even use that as an opportunity to sit down and come up with a collaborative design with me he sent me home to think on it which is fine so then he explained why we couldn’t go with the original tattoo I took that feedback which I listened, understood and wanted to work on a new design together. I sent him an idea... he said he wanted a reference... I told him I had no references of my idea because it’s never been done before. He didn’t get back to me. At this point a month has passed and I was frustrated. I messaged him and asked him for a refund on my deposit.. I got no answer. I wouldn’t mind if he notified me that it was non refundable but he never told me this. When I asked for an appointment he said send a $100 deposit and that was it so I did. Soo I wait a couple days I message him again “ Hi I haven’t heard back about that refund on the deposit I put down. Normally I’d just drop it but during these times $100 is something” nothing. Mind you, he didn’t really do research on my culture to come up with a legit design wasn’t communicating with me week off my tattoo and chose a different route without confirming with me if that’s something I liked... showed me the design when I showed up I didn’t like it tells me to go home and think of something else, I do and asks me to come up with a reference though it’s lowkey his job to come up with the design not me.. especially when there is nothing like I described to him. Then I contacted him twice never got a response. Like listen a consultation that was forced upon me is not worth $100. Please just refund me. I’m frustrated and angry and hurt with this experience...

My husband has an amazing free form tattoo from them several years ago and it’s still my favorite piece! They are brilliant at this art form.

Island Sons is awesome. Been seeing Greg for a decade. Great people and great quality.
