Tsunami Tattoo

First time visiting this shop, it is upstairs and by appointment only. They are fabulous though and worth the wait. I saw Lydia who was super nice, listened to what I wanted and made changes, no pressure to talk during the tattoo and no awkward pauses in conversations either. She did a great drawing of a Douglas Fir and I was able to get scheduled within a month. My husband was with me and now wants to get his next tattoo at this shop, he loved the atmosphere, music and attitude of the staff. I will recommend this shop and Lydia to everyone and will return for my next tattoo!!Thank you Lydia and Tsunami Tattoo!!

Best possible experience with my first tattoo was with Ashlyn, if it is your first time getting inked I highly recommend this artist. Gentle and kind and funny, it was easy to be relaxed the whole time. Also very knowledgeable and good at answering questions. 🫶

I have had MANY tattoos done by the Owner/Operator Tim McCarthy, and I love all the work he has done and I have recommended many friends to his business. The shop is ALWAYS CLEAN, and every few years he redecorates, which makes it always a treat when visiting him.I’ve found it warm and very inviting. I’ve had great conversations with the other artists in the shop while I’m getting worked on by Tim, and it’s great to see fellow artists admiring each other’s skills and work.This is definitely the best tattoo shop in the Puget Sound and I advise anyone wanting quality great tattoo work, to come and see Tim and his staff… you won’t be disappointed!

I don’t know how the nicest tattoo I have took like an hour tops and came out shear perfection but clearly Lydia Jude is working magic in there. I’m super scared when it comes to portraits and likeness but she absolutely nailed my cats portrait. I love it so much!

I had a Great experience for my first larger Tattoo. I followed the website inquire tab to request an appointment. Nate contacted me by phone and ended up with an opening. He was super professional, friendly and the shop is clean and following safe guidelines. I have worked in the automotive industry’s Styling Studios here in the USA, Europe and China and recently retired. The Man is a true artist and he has a great eye for Design. He was comfortable to visit with on many different topics. Thank you for the great work and visit!!

Damien was awful. Hes a talented artist but an absolute jerk when it comes to his customer service. The unprofessionalism Ive experienced has made me think twice about getting a tattoo at all. Hes pushy and condescending. Will not use.

I have been going to Tim for quite a few months now to work on a sleeve. The man is AMAZING! What an incredible artist. If you are lucky enough to see any of his staff, youll be in for a real treat. Great artists, great business. Ill be back for more.

Oz was great! I came on a walk-in, we waited about 30 minutes until he was free. We talked about my design idea, the sketch was beautiful, and the tattooing itself was wonderful! He was easy to talk to the whole time and pain was to a minimum! Definitely would recommend!

I purchased a gift certificate from Tsunami as my husband’s Christmas gift. Tim was v responsive and coordinated with me so I could stop by safely during COVID to pick it up. Tsunami tattoo is awesome! I went in as a walk in with a specific idea of what I wanted. The staff was super friendly, told me when they had a spot open, and gave me a quote on my tattoo and off we went. I put the deposit down and came back for my time.Tim was super helpful, and very friendly while tattooing me and had some great ideas on what to do with my tattoo.I 100% recommend this shop to anyone, and will be returning at later times to get new pieces done.

I have been coming here for a couple months now. Tim McCarthy and Jayme Jack are awesome artists! Jayme is currently doing a chest and shoulders piece for me. She is easy going, laid back, and has a gentle tattooing style. Tim is doing a full sleeve for my fiance which looks amazing! We couldnt be happier with the quality of customer service and art.

Ive been coming here for years, and am always happy with their art quality, appointment organization, and customer service. Its easy to recommend Tim, the owner, as an artist, though I can tell he holds his employees to high standards. Clean inside, organized and professional. The prices seem to be standard, and Ive always felt like they are very fair.

I love this place so much! Jayme Jack did my tattoo and its amazing! I got a matching tattoo with my dad and she was quick and did a bad ass job. She helped me with the design and everything and made me super comfortable. Jaymes the only person I will let tattoo me I healed in under a month!

I had setup a consultation with Jae. When i arrived i went over several different sketches of my ideas i was trying to create. We ended up changing the design and he took time to come up with several designs for me based off my ideas and what i was trying to express. He came up with the design i felt really grabbed the image i was trying to express. We then made the appointment for the tattoo which was split into 2 appointments due to the size. When i arrived for the appointment we both realized i was comfortable to have the entire tattoo completed so he took the time to do the entire tatto to the very last detail. He shows his art and craft into the very last second as your tattoo is his art. I definitely recommend Jae and Tsunami Tattoo. The shop is very clean and the staff made me feel welcomed for my first large tattoo with them.

Got my first piercing done here by Jake and it was amazing. I got my septum pierced and it looks so wonderful. I highly recommend you go to him for piercings! He made me feel very comfortable, knew what he was doing and reassured me the horror stories I read about getting my septum pierced were by unprofessionals. Definitely recommend him!

The owner is unprofessional. I Was looking around for a new tattoo artist and I stumbled across these guys. They seemed very talented and I liked their artwork and started to follow them on social media. They put in their story that they are looking for new clients and to message them For appointments. As soon as I saw that I started messaging him on Instagram and we started talking until he ghosted me. I then realized that I was not messaging them and theyre preferred way of communication contact. I was impulsive and message them on Instagram and when I went to the website I followed the steps on how to request an appointment. After a few days of no response I then decided to decided to message him one more time. He started to email me back one word or 1 sentence responses at responses as if he wasnt even interested. Then after almost a week of trying to make an inquiryHe emails me to say hes good it doesnt want to work with me. Just completely unprofessional in my opinion. Didnt give a reasoning or anything. Theres plenty of fish in the sea so I highly suggest going to a more professional establishment.

I search for a long time for the right artist for my sleeve. After a little research and recommendations I chose to go to Tim McCarthy. After four sessions I have no regrets and have been impressed with the shops professionalism and quality of work. I have observed work from the other artist and have not seen a disappointed customer. I recommend this shop to everyone.

Was given a high recommendation for Tsunami and was extremely disappointed.Ive NEVER been contacted from my email requesting an appointment & to date, Ive never been contacted.Therefore, DO NOT recommend this tattoo establishment.

Below is the ink I got today. I bounced the idea, Erin and my wife worked out the details, I approved and got the ink. Mind you this was not even 2 hours total billed time.She was fast, listened, the shop was amazingly open and clean. This may not be what I envisioned initially, but it is far more amazing than I had intended.Meaning this was a fantastic experience.

My original tattoo was a cover up, Tim did an incredible job. You cant even see what was covered. I absolutely love my piece, it brings me so much joy. Customer service is on point as well. Great aesthetics, super clean shop. Awesome experience.

I called several Tattoo shops, looked up multiple reviews online (Yelp!, Google, Facebook, etc.) and the same name kept coming back around - if I wanted a piercing, I needed to go see Jake the Piercer at Tsunami Tattoo. I was a little nervous - it was a simple nose stud piercing but it was the first time I was considering piercing something outside my ears - I wanted it done right. I ran into several problems with various shops getting annoyed with me because I had some questions and wanted to feel comfortable. I am so, so, so, so glad I waited to let Jake pierce me. He was PHENOMENAL. Every question I threw at him he answered flawlessly and confidently - by the time I sat down in his chair I was totally ready and calm. One day later I am very happy with my new piercing and will recommend Jake to anyone (and Ill go back to him for anything I need in future.) Hes worth every single penny people, dont go anywhere else!

Easy to find, staff is helpful. They give you quotes and options from the start. They are cash only and require deposit, but they are skilled in their art. The manager Nate did my work and he was quick but thorough.

This review is for Jake, the resident piercer at Tsunami Tattoo. Jake has been my piercer for nearly a decade. I followed him to Tsunami from House of Tattoo. He is kind, professional, gentle, and maintains an extremely clean private piercing room. In addition to piercing, he has also removed 2 micro-dermal implants that were placed by body mod artist Brian Decker several years ago. I have virtually no scaring from the micro-dermals thanks to Jake. I highly recommend him and his work.

I came in this afternoon as a walk in w/o any clue on what to get ,I just knew I wanted something tribal on my arm. Tim drew up my ideas within minutes of me walking in the door, 2 1/2 hrs later I walked out with the most amazing art on my arm. Im in shock on how well he did for such short notice. I am so pleased with how professional the artists are and the cleanliness of the establishment. I encourage everyone to go to tsunami tattoo!!! Ive never gotten a tattoo here. However, when getting an oil change at the garage next door I asked if I could use their guest wifi and was told they dont know the password because their tech guy didnt give it to them. Aside from that, the receptionist was very polite and friendly.Bottom Line: If youre planning on getting a tattoo here, dont count on free wi-fi.

Damien is working on my cover up and the guy is amazing. The vibes there were awesome and so far I can tell best tattoo place in town.
