Everyone in this shop was kind, welcoming and professional, the shop was clean. For someone with anxiety I wasn’t nervous during my experience with tattoo artist jasonbuddakelley at all. He was fun, thorough, honest, organized and had a steady hand I also noticed he had effective communication and is passionate about his work. This was only the second tattoo shop I’ve been to I’ll definitely be returning.

Jay is awesome! Went in for my second tat with him, and brought my mom and brother along for their firsts! We got matching ones that are personal to us. He made sure my mom was informed with everything going on and kept her comfortable, which was key! 😁 I recommend giving him a try if you havent already. Down to earth, funny and a great artist youd want working on your skin!

Me and my husband went in to get tattoos and I was already nervous about getting my first tattoo but the girl doing it helped and was amazing until the boss came in and was very unprofessional talking about Arianna grande and the dirty things he would do to her and talking in detail about her butt just because her song was on the radio. He made the whole environment feel off. Never again.

Not only did the environment feel hostile, but the owner and his comments to the young red head are very unprofessional and inappropriate. I hope that young girl the best and pray that environment gets shut down. Nobody should experience what I did. Never felt like this in all of the 13 tattoo shops Ive been too and supported. Wish I could give 0 stars

Recently had a very old, very faded tattoo covered up by Madisenn. She did an amazing job covering up the old one and the new one looks awesome. Everyone I have met at Maumee Tattoo has been very nice and very professional. Look no further if you need a tattoo in the Toledo Metro area.

Came in for a forearm tattoo and was not disappointed. Jason had multiple ideas for my piece and worked with me for what I really wanted. Work was phenomenal and we both were happy with the outcome. Already set up another appointment. Real down to earth people there. 10/10 recommend checking their shop out!

I’ve never personally felt the need to leave a review upon any company but, i feel as if this review should be and needs to be made. I was in to get a tattoo “go find another lover”, I was originally quoted $150, and then was told i could get it smaller for $100. i was pretty excited abt this tattoo as i’ve taken the quote to heart. however, the font i originally intended and picked is not what the tattoo looks like what so ever, it barley looks like cursive. there is a small dot where it should not be and some of the letters are spaced further apart. while i have taken into consideration the person doing the tattoo may have been newer (she claimed she was newly hired), it by far doesn’t really make up for it. another thing id like to bring up is upon arrival my ID was never asked for until AFTER the tattoo, i never signed a tattoo consent form until AFTER the tattoo, while i am very much of age, it still isn’t okay to not ID someone before a tattoo. it would be a completely different story if i were underage and had gotten a tattoo. personally im gonna be inquiring about a refund.

My Best Friend and I had matching tattoos done by Jay. He was very professional, fun, and easy to talk to. He did a great job! We cant wait to go back and get more ink done.

Jay has been remarkable through the stages of my second tattoo with him. From outline to filling in, hes made it very comfortable. I am very pleased with the tattoo and the process. Have decided on the wording I want to add and look forward to scheduling my next appt. With him.

I went here after going to a different shop for a long time. The switch was seamless and easy. Jay did my tattoo and he did a really good job, he made sure i was alright and continued to check up on me. He made me feel really comfortable. And the piece came out exactly how i imagined. Will be returning regularly for all my future pieces.

I am only leaving 2 stars because I personally had a decent experience with my specific service. I got my nose pierced. I was nervous and Terry did a good job of joking around to help put me at ease. My friend even complimented him on his sanitation procedures for his piercings. Unfortunately, I am taking three stars away because of the way my friends were treated at the end by the other staff members. My friend had a piercing that was not in the agreed upon spot and they were very rude saying something like, “so it’s a tiny bit off” when you could see skin between the purple dot and where the piercing was placed. I was just appalled at the lack of customer service there and the lack of compassion. I get that this may have just been a bad day, but it left a very bad taste in my mouth. I hope this is a learning experience on how to treat customers. Looking at the responses to other “negative” reviews, it just comes across as defensive and uncaring towards their customers.(Response to Owner: The cops were threatened to be called if she didnt pay, which she already had at that point. They were simply asking about policies and you escalated to calling the cops after everyone had already paid.)

Terry has been doing my tattoos for years and he’s been doing my daughters tattoos and he’s been doing a excellent job, he is very professional at his job and a very nice guy

I came to maumee to get an estimate for a cover up. I was speaking to Madison and everything was fine until the owner approached. He was negative and so rude to her.

I was nervous about getting my ear pierced because I had really bad prior experiences doing it at the mall. Terry did an amazing job on piercings for me. They answered all my questions, listened to my concerns, and addressed them. It was quick, professional, and very thoughtful service. The place was very clean. Overall vibe was lay back. I would recommend this to anyone. Pricing was very reasonable as well. Dont go to the mall again, get better quality piercing at this place!

I had a great experience! The artist, Jason Cafruni, was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and knew what he was doing. I was happy to do business with him. I had a small tattoo that lasted around an hour. He said he had completed various pieces on different parts of the body. He was good.

Was in town from Detroit and had occasion for a celebration tattoo. Called and Jay squeezed me in for the most memorable tattoo experience I have had for a while. The shop is filled with friendly people who take pride in their work. Will return.

Had a tattoo that was 13 years old and need to be refreshed. Terry hooked me up in no time flat. Fast and thorough worker. Very skilled and has a keen eye for detail. I highly recommend him.

This place is a gem. I personally have gotten multiple tattoos and in the process of a full sleeve with the gentleman Jason here. He has been great at responding, scheduling, creating unique designs, and finished products. All in all if you are looking for a solid place to get a tattoo this is the spot.

I was a walk in and I didnt have a appointment but Joe was available. He told me what his strengths as a tattoo artist were which was great. He got me in right away. He was super friendly and concerned with my comfort. Overall hes a great artist and amazing at what he does. The shop was very clean and comfortable. Iv found my new tattoo shop. I came in here to get my dimand studs in my ears I was greeted by Jay at the front desk really nice answerd all of my questions made me feel very comfortable and did ah great job making them center the price was really good for both ears only 30bucks plus tax 5 star recommend for pricing.

I went with my stepkids to check this place out. My kids were going to get a tattoo, I went with to check the place out (possibly get another tattoo with my stepson). Appointment was set up for 1:00 pm. My step daughter set the appointment up for her & her brother. They were there before their appointment time. No one was there. She waited 15/20 minutes before contacting him via email (the only contact she had). He eventually emailed saying he needed to drop off his child before making it there. 2:00 pm no one still there at the shop (an hour after their appointment) after a few emails/contacting owner. Just getting ready to leave ( well after customary 15 min of an appointment) owner pulls in. He unlocks, walks into the shop, never saying hi acknowledging our presence, apologizing for late, etc asked what is it?. My step daughter assuming he meant the design told him the design & said I shared the link via email like you asked). Shop owner was not very communicative, friendly, or apologetic....when asked how much the design would be, my stepdaughter was told $60.00. When asked about the fee, owner said $60.00 was the minimum for Toledo. No apologies, no bargaining, nothing..... nothing but feeling like we were an annoyance, interfering with his life/schedule..... I am an active supporter/ love supporting small business. Unfortunately I will not be supporting this small business in the future. He had plenty of opportunities to communicate his schedule. Understand life happens, his treatment of the whole situation was not cool as a business owner.....

My sister and I had an appointment at 1, the artist didnt show up to open the store until 2, we walked in and they didnt apologize for being late, the first thing he said is what is it. So we had him pull up the email we sent him, which was simple black outlines, 2 inch tattoos, one each, and said it will be $60.00 minimum for each tattoo, which I felt was overpriced, so we left before getting the tattoos done. Very poor experience in my opinion

Terry (tracey) did an amazing job on piercings for my little sister and I and more recently 3 tattoos for my mother, my sister, and I. He has a great sense of humor with a rough exterior but is a really great person. Highly recommend

I absolutely love the atmosphere of the shop! I stopped in with 3 of my co-workers. All of us were looking for new tattoos and piercings. We came in later at night to see if there was some scheduling available for the next since we travel and are on a tight schedule with the next day being our last off before we leave. They were very willing and able to shuffle a few things around since we are from out of town and schedule in our tattoos. That night they were able to get out piercings done as well. They were extremely friendly and professional. Terry kept cracking jokes as well while we sat in the chair getting pierced which really helped to relax two of my friends that had never gotten pierced before. I simply cannot wait to go back in today and get my new tattoo as well! Thank you Amy and Terry for being so awesome!

Ever since I started going to Maumee Tattoo, I have had no issues with piercings and I didnt have to pay a crazy amount get them done nor did I have issues with them not being tight enough and worried they might come out. I got my very first tattoo and I was very nervous to say the least. Terry made sure I was comfortable and kept talking to me with reassurance and jokes to make me feel at ease. My tattoo is in remembrance of my mother who passed away this year, and he honored her with his work and his kind words.

My boyfriend and I made our first appointments at Maumee tattoo company yesterday and were able to be seen same day. We were pleased to be accommodated. When we first walked into the shop I immediately noticed the sense of comfort the lobby presents. We were greeted by Amy , who handled our paperwork, helped us design, draw up, and did our tattoos. She is very friendly and an awesome person to have conversation with. The owner was also a pretty friendly guy who is funny as hell ! My boyfriend and I were extremely happy with the results of our tattoos and our service. We will always come to this shop for future work and I would recommend them to everyone.

Always an wonderful experience! Terry and Amy are very warm. They want to do the job right. They ask detailed questions. They make sure your comfortable with your choice. They do not rush you. They accommodate your availability. The prices are very reasonable. They also give you a detailed list of post tattoo directions. Why go anywhere else?

Terry Added a line to my back tattoo, plus redid the color on the old tattoos. Did an exceptional job. Especially trying to match things up on 22yr old Tattoo. Just plain nice guy. We cracked jokes making for a nice experience. He was sympathetic about what I was having him do. He treated me like we’re friends even though I just met him. I am having him designing me a new custom tattoo. Will continue to go there and recommend them to anyone.

I got my tattoo two days ago, I am completely obsessed with how it turned out! I gave Terry three things I wanted incorporated into my tattoo and he out did himself with it. I am so happy I went to Maumee Tattoo Company to get my tattoo done. Terry was awesome and made sure I was okay during the whole process, and when I got light headed from my adrenaline rushing, he gave me a break and did not start back up until I felt hundred percent better. I will definitely be going back to Terry for more tattoos down the road!

Went there for my first tattoo and another nose piercing. They were very good and skilled for the tattoo, I believe his name might have been Chris. However, I would just make sure you are very clear with where and what exactly you want for piercings. I told him I wanted another nose piercing but after he made a hole in my nose HE decided to change it after. When I left I thought I maybe had 3 holes but wasn’t sureWhen the blood dried I realized I had 4 holes on the same side of my nose it Hurt worse than my tattoo. After a week of making sure it’s extra clean I can only move one of the hoops the other one is stuck and still hurts.Nearly a month later and nose is still not healed. Tattoos are fine but I would be a little hesitant to get pierced there

Absolutely love Terry and Amy! This is the only place I recommend in the BG area, its so worth the drive from campus to get quality (and might I mention super fairly priced) piercings. Ive never had a bad experience here, Terry and Amy are super cool and fun to talk to, and are very good at what they do. 100% recommend!!!

This is an old review, since I never left one.When I went to get a tattoo here a year or so ago...They were rude and I think they used watered-down ink when I got a tattoo. It ended up fading super bad within like two weeks (Im not exaggerating). I followed all the care instructions given to me, as well as used that healing cream stuff the lady gave me. Two weeks after getting the tattoo, I came back in to see if they could possibly fix it, since the ink faded out so bad, they acted like they didnt even recognize me or remember me, were rude, and told me I would have to pay to have it fixed and need to set up an appointment. No apologies, or anything.During the time I was originally getting tattooed, they sat there complaining the entire time about their customers and made fun of this group of ladies that came in to get piercings--all while I was under her needle. Its safe to say I didnt bother getting my tattoo fixed here. I hope they improved their customer service skills since I went there....(Edited for clarity)

The guy that did my tattoo did a horrible job, I even had to ask how to care for it after it was done. If I knew how to post pictures of what I expected and what I actually have, I would. Ruined my arm permanently until I get it fixed.UPDATE!!!So I got my tattoo covered up by the owner and it looks so nice; like beautiful. It definitely represents their good reputation.

Had my daughters first nose piercing done here, was very affordable and professional. Went back, had a daith piercing for my migraines, and they absolutely nailed it! No pain and reduced my migraines. Stupidly, I went to an unknown place to get my nose pierced they literally missed the piercing, was in horrible pain, and it was an epic fail. Returned to Maumee tattoo got my other ear daith pierced and my nose, again did not disappoint! The guy was quick,painless and professional will always go here for future piercings and tattos! If you want a great professional painless job this place is fantastic!!! Lifelong customer here!❤

Worst place ever to get anything done!!!! I got my nose pierced by the gentleman who works there and its taken five months for it to heal and it is crooked. I inquired about some tattoos the gentleman told me how much it would cost when I sent messages to their Facebook page to find out when would be a good time to set it up they never responded. I have a friend who received a tattoo from there about 2 months ago and it looks like a toddler colored it in it is fading the lines are crooked and honestly my seven-year-old could have done a better job. Had another friend go there to receive a nose piercing and hers is infected.

Amazing talent going on in this place! Amy is incredible, both in ability and personality. She makes the time pass quickly, eases any nerves you might have, and does exquisite work. And prices are right. I highly recommend Maumee Tattoo Company.

I love the straight and to the point atmosphere of this place. Terry is a straight up and honest artist that will tell you exactly what works and what doesn’t and executes with precision. You can’t beat the price and quality, and nothing comes close. I’ll be getting all my tattoos here.

My piercings were well done, but the gentleman that did them was not friendly at the dorr, or checking me out. He also complained the whole time about how many piercings I was getting. Reasonably priced, but I wont be going back. I would suggest Broadwing Tattoo Company in BG

I called to see if they had any openings, He was very dry and nonchalant over the phone and non inviting. Also I asked if there were any specials on piercing his response was a very dry nope never. This was thee worst tattoo experience I have ever had. That man had the nastiest attitude towards me. They might as well put a no blacks allowed sign out in front of that shop. Thanks brother in law for the recommendations, this place sucks. And from the art work he was beginning to place on me looked a utter disaster. The place could use some upgrades but for what it is worth the place was not an absolute nightmare. I went to get a septum piercing and let me tell you with my live action body how it felt. Hurted but not long enough to make me leave immediately.

I got my naval pierced. The job was done efficiently, but the staff wasnt very friendly. I didnt even get a hello, nor did the piercer explain aftercare. I wont be returning.

I always have a good experience when I come here. My first visit was back when my septum piercing fell out and Amy help me put it back in. Ive gone back to them for every new piercing so far and will continue.

The man at the door was rude. Gave us incorrect information regarding paperwork needed for a minor to get an ear piercing. He had a very bad attitude from the moment we stepped in the door. Luckily we were able to go somewhere else and had a very professional, and kind technician.

I had an appointment at 12 and I arrived about 10 minutes before. The shop was not open and we waited 20 minutes until we decided to just leave and go somewhere else. I find it extremely unprofessional to have listed hours and not be there when you supposedly say you will be open. Also everytime I call it goes straight to a full voicemail box, so any questions or concerns I had couldn’t be answered. Lastly there are no set prices anywhere or any extra information about anything on their website or stupor front.

Great atmosphere, super cute. Smells and looks very clean, which is always important. Went for a nose piercing and it was a quick process. In and out! Would recommend!

Dude at the counter was rude and unwilling to work with us. I wont waste my time and fuel driving their ever again.I edited this part of my post after reviewing the owners post. True the id was expired, however her student id, and her birth certificate was not, and i am her gaurdian so unless the laws have changed she should have been able to get a tat with my signature. Great place to get a tattoo. Shop is very relaxed and comfortable. The owner was awesome, very personable and a great artist. I will definitely go back for my next tattoo.

I have been in this place a few times and the man at the door has been very rude!! He talks bad about other costumers. My mom recently went in to buy jewelry for her cartilage piercing. He didn’t have a mask on, and burped right in her face and on the glass. Will never be returning!
