Absolutely the best tattoo artist in the area! Gypsy is not only very skilled but he also takes precautions with making sure everything is sanitary like he should. He puts you at ease, carries on conversation, makes sure that you are happy with the tattoo before he does it and after its finished. Hes the only one Ill go to now!

My friend and I have gone to get a couple piercings with gypsy within this last week, and each time weve been, hes been absolutely amazing! Hes funny, kind and super informative on the process, care and what to look out for!Hes been a blast! 10/10, definitely recommend! Went in for a daith and lobe piercing. Gypsy was absolutely amazing!!! Explained every single step from start to finish. Also explained why the daith piercing can help with migraines. He was also so much fun to sit and visit with. He really put me at ease.

Had my daith piercing done here with Gypsy. I had gone to a different place initially, but the migraines were still there. Gypsy let me know that the piercing was in the wrong place. After he fixed it, my migraines were much better! The place was clean and he was very professional. Definitely recommend.

I just got my Medusa piercing done here. Gypsy was so wonderful and kind to me the entire time. He walked me through the procedure and joked with me a bit, which made me feel less nervous. He was very informative and professional. I felt safe and comfortable. The environment is very clean, and there is beautiful artwork all over the shop. This experience was great for me! He even helped me find a new stud for my existing piercing that fit nicely. I will update this review with a picture after healing, but the placement is great. I had a wonderful experience from when I first walked in there very welcoming. Gypsy made sure I was good with the design before and after he was done. Ill keep going to him and not where I usually get my tattoos done and very informative.

I recommend Gypsy for anything. He did my daith piercing and nose. He always educates if youre new like I was when I got my daith done. He told me how to take care of it and information about it. His wife it also super sweet. Thank you both such!

Absolutely professional, very clean, and a wonderful experience. The owner, Gypsy, has a great sense of humor and it really helped the whole process of getting my ears re-pierced. I would highly recommend this business to anyone who wants a professional, clean environment with a kind owner.

I got my nose pierced here and I wouldn’t recommend. After paying and getting settled in the back room, Gypsy insisted on using a hoop for my piercing. Despite my initial skepticism, he convinced me it was easier to clean. The hoop was so large and ugly that I ended up staying home for months. He justified the size by saying my nose was already big and would swell, but it never did. I liked the initial placement, so I waited, hoping it would heal correctly and i can just put better jewelry in. But here we are, almost 7 months later, and it’s still not healed—its as sore as if it were done yesterday. Recently, I tried to switch to a stud, only to find the piercing hole has curved, complicating the insertion of any new jewelry. Definitely would not recommend this place!

I have gotten all my piercing and tattoos from Mr.Gypsy for the past 3 years, I’ve gotten a diamond stud nose piercing from another place where the healing had been terrible but when I took it out and got my nose piercing re-done from Gypsy it was done with a hoop as it heals a lot faster then the diamond stud and I was able to take the hoop out and replace it with the diamond when It was healed no problem. I followed all his care instructions for the healing process and had no issues. My tattoos include a sleeve where I was able to schedule an appointment each month to get it worked on instead of having to wait 5 months like a lot of these other places. I also have a rib tattoo that we are working on I can only take an hr at a time (due to the pain) and even during that hour he has let me take breaks in between to let me cool down lol. The time goes by really fast in the shop with him he’s a good guy and a great conversationalist to keep you distracted from the needle poking at your skin lol. Artist alley studio is the number one place I recommend for tattoos, cover up, and piercings!

I asked the piercer whether or not I had the anatomy for this belly button piercing, was charged for it and he put a ring in my belly, which was my first red flag. Second he pierced me way to high and deep, the piercing never stood a chance even with me constantly cleaning and desperately trying to save it. But it started growing around the hoop trying to consume it. Never again will I trust this place with my money, I’ve gotten so many piercings and never had such a bad experience, one star definitely if not 0!.

I’ve never seen a more clean and organized studio as this one! My daughter and I both got tattoos here. The owner himself did the work, and we really appreciated how he answered our questions. Highly recommend!

Very, clean, awesome shop! The owners are wonderful people that care about people, are patient and understanding. I had my top eyeliner done yesterday because I have tremors and cant do it anymore. He is the best! There are good and bad tattoo artists. He has been to. school, licensed and experienced. This gave me a real pick-me-up. They also sell jewelry he makes (beautiful!) and I couldnt resist some earrings. Raychel is an artist. Unbelievable what she can do by hand! They also make the best candles and soaps! Even if you dont want a tattoo- you must check it out!

Was my daughters first tattoo, Gypsy was super friendly and helped ease her from being nervous. Talked to her and kept her mind off of the actual tattoo. Recommended for sure, and great work

I absolutely LOVE this place! I got a septum piercing, and it looks absolutely great! Gypsy was so kind and informative. He let me know the proper steps of care and the reasoning why. The vibe of the place was so welcoming, and I got to hold a narwhal plushie! Definitely going to come back here for piercings from now on. 10/10! Keep up the amazing work!

My partner and I both got piercings and a consultation with Gypsy for tattoos. We were over the moon to find a Rromani tattoo artist who understood our culture and to share his beautiful art with us. We called several times and spoke with Rachel prior to visiting and the customer service is absolutely stellar. The shop itself is beautiful, clean, comfortable, classic. 10/10 will be visiting again.

Rachel & Gypsy are lifesavers! I needed a ball for my jewelry, so I called them up. Rachel answered immediately with her lovely charm, told her my issue and she said to come on in. Upon my arrival,  Rachel welcomed me with a smile. She inspected my piercings, letting me know that there was some issues with my original jewelry.  The Saturday before, I had received a botched piercing from a KC shop. Before entering Artist Alley, I had no idea there was any problems at all. From there it was a crazy blur. But Gypsy was able to replace the jewelry with the correct hoops. The pain was insane but Rachel was there with a stuffed dinosaur and support ❤ After a little water and good conversation,  I made my way home. It has been a week since this event and Im so happy to report that my piercings are healing up nicely. Again,  thank you guys from the bottom of my heart! Ill be back soon.-Sarah

After having the pleasant experience talking to Gypsies wife on the phone about my questions, I decided to go,and get my tattoos done there, thankfully, I ran into it by accident, because it was by far, one of the best tattoos Ive had, aside, having one done in New Jersey, years ago.Gypsy knew exactly what and how, did everything freehand, and the crispness and details are exceptional.He even redid a couple of my older tattoos, and a small face tattoo, and I am absoluetly pleased by this type of quality and professionalism.Gypsy knew,and created the beautiful pieces according to my personality, and that was the most important to me.Highly recommend Artist Alley.

I have had work done by The Gypsy, and each time was an experience all its own. Not one time in the past 15 years dealings with The Gypsy have I ever been disappointed. I visited Gypsy to have my helix and 3rd lobe piercings done and had the best experience! Gypsy was so kind and professional. Before the piercings, he gave me a thorough run down of all the instruments he would use and how the piercings would happen. Everything was clean and brand new, and then put into the proper cleaning or disposal area after the piercing was over. I was given thorough cleaning instructions and my ears are healing beautifully. While I was there, Gypsy explained the daith piercing and how it can help with headaches - as someone who suffers from regular headaches and migraines, I have always wanted to get it done but have been scared. Gypsy calmed all my fears and answered all my questions. I will definitely be back to have my daith pierced. If you live in Topeka or the surrounding areas, give Artist Alley a visit!! 15/10 experience.

Excellent service and beautiful work. Very friendly and professional at the same time. It was fun chatting with Gypsy while he did my tattoo. Also, this was my 5th tattoo - first here, though- and got much more clear and detailed instructions for aftercare than any other studio. My new piece healed with far less itching and scabbing than any other Ive gotten. Will definitely be back!

I have never felt anything less than safe going to Artist Alley Studio & Gallery. It is the utmost of importance to them. I cant wait to get a tattoo from Gypsy. I love love The Mad Hatters artwork. It is awesome! If I know someone wants a tattoo or piercing. I send them that way. :-)

They were fantastic, very friendly, and very informative they made sure i understood aftercare instructions and assured me thoughly that things were sanitary he did my piercings with precision and they look perfect im very happy with them! Love this Place always fun, always clean, and always safe. Had questions and concerns of the healing of my tattoo work(mistakingly done somewhere else). Came in he looked at it. Made an appointment for the poor quality work done by another (not so far any studio) Waited for that to heal and cared for per Gypsys instruction. Came back in and will keep coming back. Walked out informed on care so it turned out beautiful. If you like Ink dont think see THE GYPSY

Amazing place. The Gypsy has been an Master Tattoo Artist for years and it shows! The quality of work is amazing as well as his stories. I have literally been tattoed around the world and this is the best shop I have been to. Also it will be the only shop I keep going to.

Long story short my friend and I went in to get tattoos. My friend is terrified of needles and often passes out and throws up when getting a simple shot at the doctors. The owners made her feel comfortable and took GREAT care of her through out the whole process, from holding her hair back when she threw up and rubbing her back to talking her though the tattoo process to keep her calm! I highly recommend!! Thank you!

Ive seen his work on friends tattoos gor years so when my cousin needed a new tattoo and to have a tattoo, she had done at another studio in Emporia, that needed fixed... I only wanted her to go to see Gypsy. The tattoo of her rainbow baby went from flat and missing definition to lifelike and what my cousin had imagined the tattoo to look after completion the first time. So many tattoos Ive seen have been very flat and missing definition. Then I met Gypsy and started ti see his work and I was blown away by the quality of his tattoos. He use of shadows makes his tattoos look more lifelike and real.Im actually considering getting my first tatoo. I never thought Id want one, but his artistry and skillful use of colors and shading blows me away. His irises actually look like bearded irises! And his strawberries and wooden crafts look so lifelike not cartoony and flat.I myself, went a different route... so far. Id been experiencing more migraines and they were debilitating migraines at that. A friend of mine had Gotten Daith piercings and they actually helped reduce the frequency and intensity of her migraines. So I asked Gypsy a lot of questions then set up the appointment to have both ears pierced. I wont lie, it hurt a lot (I have a very low pain threshold) and there were days I was almost ready to have Gypsy remove them. But Im now past the two month threshold and I rarely notice them.... or migraines. I have still had a few migraines but they have been less intense and Im able to reduce the pain by utilizing the technique Gypsy taught me. I cant imagine not having my Daith piercings now... definitely worth the initial pain.I highly recommend Artist Alley Studio and Gallery... Id give them more than 5 stars... if that was an option.
