Leif was amazing when I first meet him. Professional and fun guy to talk to. He is customer focused, detailed oriented, and just makes you feel comfortable. This was my first time getting a tattoo from him and will not be the last time. I will recommend him to anyone.

Leif did my first tattoo and he listened to all of my questions, no matter how silly I thought they were, he gave great advice, and made sure I knew how to follow through with the care of my new tattoo. It was a great experience, and I’m planning to have him create my next tattoo.Edited two years later: Leif just created my third tattoo and I’m still wildly happy with everything! Leif is so kind & professional. Not only did he give me my favorite ink but it was also the best & most comfortable experience I’ve had while getting tatted. I had a cover up done by Leif. Before he started, I had keloid scaring and uneven lines and asymmetry of the design. Tough canvas. He professionally advised me to go with designs and details that would work better for my situation. I was amazed how it turned out! Love the crisp lines and color transitions! He added some highlights and made it stand out which was a nice touch. I wish I had before and after photo to share... Even his master at the time was amazed, with a huge approval smile on his face. Leif is a talented artist with a great personality, easy to work with. Highly recommended!

It has been years since my last tattoo. I cannot express how impressed I was with Leifs studio. His studio was incredibly clean, quiet, and gave off a salon/spa type feel with clean lines, openness, and overall relaxing atmosphere. As a fairly anxious individually, I felt very relaxed and comfortable. He was also VERY attentive with COVID precautions. EVERYTHING from chairs to my own phone and drivers licence were disenfected. Masks were a requirement for his and my safety. As a health care professional, I felt safer at his place than anywhere else I have had to go during this awful time (even my own workplace). He was patient, kind, and professional. There was no rushing and he wanted to be sure to get what I wanted exactly how I wanted it. During the 2.5 hours I was there, he kept it incredibly professional, yet comfortable. He worked continuously from start to finish. If this is how his place is now, fairly newish and during a pandemic, I cannot wait to see how it evolves. Lastly, he is not just an ink slinger, but an artist and it shows in all of his work. I highly recommend Black Candle Tattoo and will definitely be a customer in the future. Thank you for the awesom work, I love it even before it is healed. You captured the authenticiy of my dogs prints beautifully. I will have to share a picture once it is healed.
