Such a great experience! Charlie was amazing. I took my son here for his 18th Birthday to get his first tattoo and mine. We decided on the angel numbers “333” The staff was super laid back and we felt comfortable from start to finish! Charlie took his time with us as we weren’t sure of font or placement. I was impressed with his attention to detail with every step of the process. From listening , drawing it out, sanitizing, to everything in between. My son and I will definitely be back! If you haven’t visited Elysium I would highly recommend.

Good experience coming here, for my first time nose piercings. People were very nice and friendly. Travis did an amazing job with the piercings, and made me feel comfortable etc. Clean and quick well done piercings.

The main customer/lobby area has a really great feel and is well decorated! Everyone is very polite and customer service was good! My artist is Laura and we have finished part #1 of a two part tattoo! So far I am pleased with the outcome!

Mark is a very accommodating artist, that pays attention to your experience above all. He welcomed my son, and did his best to include him in conversation and make him comfortable during my tattoo. He is the most body respectful artist I have ever experienced. He made sure I was comfortable along everyone. His script work is UNMATCHED. I cannot wait to have the color added and touch ups finished. Front desk staff, Brittany was great with answering questions and explaining procedure. I also appreciate the assistance and patience of other staff, Brittany was not rude or frustrated about leaving a few minutes later and other staff members stepped in to answer questions when needed. The entire experience has me planning my next visit before this one is even finished. 🥰🥰

Went in and got my septum pierced Travis was awesome . He was very gentle and caring and did an amazing job very happy with my piercing

Literally ripped the clamp around looking for the ball for my peircing, I left with my eyebrow completely bruised, I was absolutely appalled by the lack of attention and care. I was getting my eyebrow pierced and she just let the clamp dangle after she peirced it and then ripped it around a bunch

Great shop! decided i wanted a couple piercings and my husband tagged along. immediately upon entering everyone in the shop was so nice. the process was made very clear by the front desk. Travis himself was fantastic! my husband even decided to get a piercing as well. will be back :)

I got my thirds and my upper helix pierced, and I felt so comfortable throughout the whole process!! I learned how to clean it properly, the amount of time it will take to heal, and how to take care of it. The piercer, Travis, was extremely calm and was very down to earth and friendly. The lady at the desk was very helpful and welcoming as well! Very clean environment and I am so happy with the results! 100% recommend :)

My husband and I went in on Thursday cause I wanted a tattoo that day. We were directed to Gwyn. She was friendly from the start! She listened to our idea, drew it up, and the price she gave us was well worth what we paid! I definitely will be returning to have more work done from her! The line work is great! Went there twice for piercings. The place was clean and comfortable. Came in as a walk-in. Staff greeted me right away both times. Sales Associates were kind and knowledgeable. Piercing tech was great. Knows his stuff! Super friendly, fast, and focused. It was a good experience. Ill keep going there for more piercings or tattoos. And Ill refer my friends too. 🧡

Just went here yesterday for a Medusa piercing and it looks great! I’ve been to this shop probably over 6 times and each time I’ve gone the employees there are super welcoming. I’ve been pierced by their piercer many times over the past 5 years and every piercing has healed AMAZING. It’s at the point where he’s the only person I trust to pierce me. Amazing shop!

Extremely disappointed and frankly mad. I asked for a simple STRAIGHT tattoo in times new Roman font with no italic. The tattoo artist, Lucky said he could do it. So then once he was tattooing me and he finished he didn’t even show me the finished look before slapping on my breathable bandage which he didn’t even put on right.This was my first tattoo and it is completely ruined. It is sloppy and slated. There is no way to fix it besides getting a cover-up tattoo. I came in for a 100-dollar tattoo and now Im walking into more money for something so simple!I would NOT recommend going here unless you have done deep research on your artist.

Straight up annoying.Walked-in for a piercing change and let the front desk know I wanted a gold hoop, they said sure and asked if I could wait for a minute because 2 women had walked in before me. I said sure, especially since I was a walk in, and proceeded to wait for 30 minutes. While waiting one of the ladies working there was yelling at a tattoo artist for stealing her sign? After waiting 30 minutes the man working the desk called me up and asked if I wanted rose gold or gold hoops, I told him gold. He then proceeded to tell me they don’t have any in the size they would need. So all in all they had me sit for 30 minutes when they could’ve just told me they didn’t have what I need. To add to the weirdness, the woman who was yelling about the sign told me I’d look good with a unicorn face tattoo and also yelled “thanks for shopping at Walmart” when I left. Super odd, never going back lol.

I use to think so highly of this shop. I would always recommend people to go here. I never had a bad experience, until recently.The staff was extremely rude to my sister and I. Talking to us like we were stupid. I even considered leaving, but decided to stay. Big mistake. My sister and I went in 2 weeks ago to get small tattoos. It was her first tattoo. We each got each others initials. They charged us $150 EACH. Which is absurd. Second red flag. The artist was very nice and professional. After a few days, my sister noticed that her tattoo was jagged and there was a random line of ink next to it. The artist did a HORRIBLE job. Thankfully, my tattoo was fine. but hers was horrific. I would never go there again, nor would I ever recommend anyone to go there. I am SO disappointed with the way the front desk treated us and the tattoo artist prices and terrible work.

This is my go to place. Ive gotten 3 tattoos by Hannah, and definitely plan on getting more! I love her attitude, and most importantly her work. I came in with a picture my late brother drew for me before he passed. I asked her to try and mimic the picture with a few minor tweaks. Its difficult to copy another artists work but she nailed it. My mom and I got some matching tattoos by her which are adorable. Currently she is working on a cover up for me. Big bold black lettering and she made it disappear! Its a big tattoo, and is taking multiple long sessions which she is doing while pregnant. Every time Ive come in I have been more than pleased with each experience.

One star is being generous. The obnoxiousness of this “shop” is on a level of absurdity I can still barely comprehend. Brought my friend to get a small coverup on her finger… as a walk-in to an absolutely EMPTY shop. NO ARTISTS were there upon arrival. The extremely rude toothless gal behind the desk, however, must have sensed our desperation for a small cover up. Whilst waiting for someone to show up, we actually did a little shopping and ended up purchasing some in house items, which I had to sign-in for (additions to the absurdity). I was NOT getting tattooed and when asked why I needed to sign in, the attitude coupled with the response was a fight for ridiculousness. Then comes the artists. Nice enough guy, managed to let us know the most likely legal standpoints of his professional career weren’t “accurate”. Also had my friend sit in a position that was extremely uncomfortable to get a damn finger tattoo touch up. Oh! Which ended up costing one hundred and fifty damn dollars. The tattoo has turned into a jagged mess and she is now having to get the whole thing removed. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS!!! You can not conduct business in this way! These aren’t stickers. Represent this art form with some class and for gods sake dignity.

Absolutely amazing experience Hannah and all the staff are very welcoming. Hannah did my tattoo and I absolutely love it, I couldnt ask for anything better. They are very accommodating to everyone and every date that you could probably need. I highly recommend this tattoo shop.

Travis was amazing and pierced my eyebrow with limited pain. I had gone to a different shop that pierced my other eyebrow entirely wrong and Travis was happy to look at it and instruct me on how to treat it, and even checked out my other previous piercings to make sure everything was good to go and there wasn’t too much scar tissue leftover. Will definitely be coming back as I loved the people and the environment here!

Very friendly and knowledge. Will definitely be coming back. Just got my conch and Monroe done.... Im not happy I have to wait so long to change them out, but thats not their fault. Just the way the healing process goes.

Spent 30 mins waiting for my daughters ear piercing only to find out they ran out of the instruments and couldnt do her piercing that day. They said they would call us back when they got more in. 3 weeks later.... nothing.... What I dont understand is how they hadnt figured out they didnt have the tools to do the piercing ahead of time... a phone call could have saved us 2 hours... if it was because of walk ins the day before, well, thanks for thinking about your appointments... also, just a warning that there is art in there not really suitable for younger kids. Just a heads up on that one.

I had such a great experience with Travis, he was very accommodating and was helping calm my nerves before piercing my tongue. He was very nice and respectful and he really just cares about his customers! I would highly recommend him to everyone. The woman at the front had a lil attitude but its okay i think they were dealing with something before we walked in. I would like to say though, there is a place on google where you can request a booking that you might want to change if you want all piercings to be walkins! Im so happy with my experience and i will definitely be returning for any piercing needs!!

Got 2 piercings done last Friday and the piercer was amazing. Walked me through the process and made me feel super comfortable. The staff were all very nice and the shop had a good vibe.

Recently had a memorial tattoo done by artist gnarly, my grandmother just died and wanted a tattoo of the last envelope she sent me with a replica of the floral sticker used to shut it just custom and larger then normal and he absolutely killed it and not only that but gave me the best experience seeing it was my first tattoo. 10/10 would recommend!

I walked in to get my nose pierced and they were amazing! Everyone was very kind and professional and answered all my questions. Very clean too and very well priced. Will definitely be going back there for future tattoos and piercings!

I have gotten several tattoos here from both Hannah and Ryan as well as a couple piercings from Travis. They all do remarkable work and the front desk staff is nice and thorough with check in and theyre all great people.

Was looking for a place to get my septum pierced. Went to several different spots in the area that were all over priced and appointment only. My co-worker suggested me to go here because he got his done here and I’m happy I did! I wasn’t even there 30 minutes. When I arrived I was greeted and taken back by how neat and lovely the place was. The two ladies who worked the register were so nice and funny they definitely make you feel good about yourself. My Piercer was friendly too. I had a good experience. Only negative thing I will complain about is having to pay before your piercing.

Christina is phenomenal, the entire shop is nothing short of great people, all of whom are at the very pinnacle of their chosen craft.. There may be other artists in Valparaiso, but from my experience, A.S.G. Ink just feels like home from the first moment you walk in. The entire staff take active interest in making sure you receive exactly what you desire. When you come back (and you will) they remember who you are, which is a great thing.Truly a one stop shop, their aftercare line of products are top of the line, their clothing and accessories are very fairly prices, and they offer rechargable gift certificates, what more could you want? Piercings? Yup, they have that too! You can spend your time looking at the rest, but I firmly believe you will end up at A.S.G. Ink!

Came with my daughter for her first tattoo for a scheduled appointment. We sat and waited 15 minutes to be called up and told the artist is not available and we can get fit in for 6:30 which would be 4 hours later. Not the experience I was hoping for my daughter that was excited to be let down especially when I just spoke with them 24 hours earlier.

I brought my daughter here for her ear lobe piercing (5yo). The piercer made her feel comfortable and was very calming! They turned out great and she feels brave and confident after a positive experience. Definitely makes a difference for her being okay with the amount of care needed to protect her piercings these next few weeks.The whole office was clean and felt positive. Seems like the employees enjoy working here.

Travis was amazing with my piercings. He has you lay back in a chair with a fan blowing on you which i found VERY helpful considering getting piercings can make you nervous. Just a cool guy to talk to and he’s very experienced. The whole staff was very friendly and down to earth. Would definitely use them again in the future for all my piercing needs. Price was also very reasonable.

I loved the atmosphere of Elysium Studios, I came in with daughter to get my nose pierced and had a good laugh with the workers at the front desk. Travis was extremely professional, friendly, and is a great conversationalist. After my pleasant experience of being poked, he explained all the after care directions. Damon was the tattoo artist who did my tattoo and he is absolutely phenomenal. He took his time and paid attention to detail. He was super skilled, friendly and knowledgeable. He had no problem answering any questions I had and going through and explaining his process. We just jammed to music as he worked and it was a super relaxing and comfortable environment. He was patient and very kind and I would definitely recommend going to him, especially for more detailed and vibrant works, especially Japanese style pieces.The people at the front were so friendly and definitely helped make my experience at this business feel comfortable and seamless. Will definitely continue to return for more tattoos and other services!!

Private room while getting tattooed, room is cleaned after each client is done. Laura (tattoo artist) beautifully corrected a botched job that my granddaughter got somewhere else and now it looks like the dragon she wanted in the first place.

Such a wonderful studio with extremely good prices. Upon arrival, the girl working the front desk was very pleasant. Both herself and our piercer kept us very well informed before and after our service about how to take care of our piercings. We had the pleasure of meeting Travis, the new piercer! My mom and I both came in for piercings. She got her nose and I got a double helix.Travis was friendly and personable. He made our experience so comfortable, as he is extremely likable and an excellent conversationalist. He did an excellent job with our piercings. He made sure we were satisfied before and after the piercing! He is very knowledgable and it was so easy to ask him questions we had. Absolutely an amazing experience! Thank you for being so accessible, unlike some of the other studios that are impossible to get into without an appointment in the area.

Got my ears pierced by the female piercer (can’t recall her name). I ended up having to go somewhere else to get one of them fixed because she pierced it at a very odd angle & it was completely crooked. The person that fixed it even said it should not have been done like that. On top of that, I originally asked for the gem studs (which cost more) & then later found out they ran out but I was still charged for the more expensive ones.Thought this place would be good because it had good reviews but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

The guy that tattoo me was really nice, but i paid $195. for this… I could’ve done better with the gun i got from amazon. Once again, the guy was super nice so i feel bad posting this, but save your money.

They do such an absolutely phenomenal job! Gwyn Is highly recommended she takes her time and is very detail oriented and shes does beautiful work!! I am yet to get my tattoo done by the other tattoo artist there but they all do such a good job!! The whole staff there is so funny and so sweet I almost feel like at home being there!! Definitely going to be my place to go for tattoos from now on! Very happy with my tattoo!!

Normally not one to write reviews, but this is a special circumstance. Took my 5 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced. From calling to set an appointment to ears getting pierced the staff was nothing but amazing. Staff was so helpful and made my scared and nervous daughter feel like she was the bravest and most special client in the waiting area. Travis was nothing short of a saint making it as painless as possible, comforting when she was scared, and being so patient! Highly recommend checking them out!

Their artist Ryan does such an awesome job! Very professional and does incredible work. Definitely going to him for my next tattoo.

Easy to find and really clean on the inside. Very chill atmosphere, they have dope decor, and play good music to listen to while waiting. The staff was friendly and they also had a wide range of merchandise available in shop (shirts and piercing jewelry. I believe they offer other beauty products but I was mostly interested in their tattoo services) Have my tattoo appointment scheduled with Hannah for next month. She was able to transform my original idea into exactly what I wanted and made it so it fit me more. I will say if you plan on getting tattoo services here BOOK IN ADVANCED. The wait period is very long; but worth it. Super pumped!

I got my snakebites and bridge pierced here and both were good experiences. I’ve never had an issue until today with your front desk worker “Jo”.I don’t know if it was an off day for him but he was rude, I had to explain and convince him my ID wasn’t expired, he then proceeded to charge me for a service I did not need nor want nor asked for and when I said I didn’t want that I got a snarky reply of “Oops oh well it’s already put in”.Spending more money is the last thing I, a disabled person who’s already financially struggling due to my conditions, needs. Nobody’s perfect but I was sobbing in the car on the way home. I don’t like to be the bearer of bad news and always try to see the light in the dark but this absolutely ruined my afternoon out. Wishing you all light love and healing.Update: Yea I probably wont be coming back unfortunately. If you’re gonna gaslight a customer at least make a proper attempt.

Before you go .. CALL and you better be asking EVERY SINGLE QUESTION. Because they will not tell you any information without asking. For example I asked if they would take a look at my daughters ear.. not asking them to pierce it. I drove all the way there and they then decided to inform me I needed certain documents in order for them to just LOOK at her ear. When I mentioned I wish I was told this information on the phone I didnt get a sorry or anything instead the owner said yeah well I drive an hr here and an hr home everyday.Ok?! Good job.. this is your JOB ? Pat on the back. Round of applause.

The studio was clean and was very welcoming. Travis was super nice and polite. My piercer was also very nice and he made simple conversation which I liked. I did a walk in and the wait time was pretty short. My overall experience was great. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Have gotten work done here several times over the years. Its not really a warm and friendly environment but they do good work and thats all that really matters. Recently got a flash tattoo by Lucky. Hes a great artist and did a great job. Nice guy and will book with him again soon for a bigger piece.

I got snake bites and I love them soo much. The piercer was very thorough with telling me how to take care of them and even got me this care kit. Very clean place with a fun atmosphere. And it was quite cheap too! Only paid $50 (excluding the tip)

This place was the go to tattoo parlor back when Adam ran it still. After he lost the shop in his divorce, it has plummeted. I have gotten multiple tattoos and piercings back when it was still American Skin Graphics (ASG). I would avoid this place now. Adam is now running Misfit tattoos in Valpo. If you want good work, go to him. Beware he does have an extremely heavy hand, but it results is beautiful line works and bold colors.

I had two tattoos done by Laura and from consultation to finish she was awesome. She kept the mood lite and was meticulous in making sure I was good during the tattoo. Not to mention the memorial tattoo she did has gotten so many compliments and is just stunning. I highly recommend having Laura do your tattoo.

Went to take my son to get his first Tattoo made an appointment for 6pm that night. They didnt ask for a call back number just our names and that the artist will take care if us later on that evening. We only wanted some names tatted on us and whe we got there lights were off sign was off it was closed. If I would have known they would have done that I would have continued looking at different tattoo places. Just bad business not going over there no more.

Extremely disappointed in the service received at this location. I paid for a forward helix while I was in town and should have noticed the red flags. The piercer warned a group of us that we should be careful about the ball on the earring falling off while cleaning it, which I thought was really weird since I have many piercings and no one has ever told me that the piercing can fall out from this. We were also never given clear instructions about cleaning and the healing process even though we all purchased the kit. Six days after getting it done, I was cleaning my ear with the kit qtips and my ball fell off. I called the shop the next day when they opened to see if I could get it re-pierced next time I was in town, and they said I would have to repay for a new piercing if the bar fell out. I reminded them that I was from out of town and it hadnt even been a week, and I had noticed the bar was already starting to fall out. They told me that it was their policy and they were not responsible for it falling out. They didnt even offer to replace the earring. I decided to go to a local shop near my area and explained what happened. This is when I realized we were provided terrible service. The piercer was shocked at how short the earring bar was, which she explained was probably why the ball fell out. She said the bar was extremely short and shouldnt be used until a piercing has healed, because it wont allow for proper cleaning and the swelling can push the ball off. She was literally laughing and kept saying how she couldnt believe someone thought piercing that way was ok. The icing on the cake was when she said she wouldve only recommended one piercing instead of two, due to the size of my ear. I am very disappointed in my experience and how the shop handles situations like this. If you are in Valpo and need a piercing, I strongly recommend that you go somewhere else.

I had a tattoo done here yesterday. Ive never been here before but I had the artist Lucky and he was amazing. He did a great job and he even accommodated me towards the end of the day even tho he thought I was there for just a consultation. AAA place, very clean and professional full of fun people who take their work seriously.Just to add on in response to the Goad guy down there mad about hoop earrings. Outside of a Claires store, every piercing Ive ever gotten in the ears (12 in total), at numerous different tattoo parlors, all pierced with hoop earrings.Youd think thats info youd have gotten beforehand, plus you can just wait until its healed and put in whatever you want. 1 star for your own lack of research is pretty weak.

Went in for a piercing and got very friendly service. Piercing itself was quick and painless. Definitely recommend for your piercing needs. Not sure about tattoos as I have yet to really check out their work. I will probably look into it when I get my next though. Their shop was also very clean and comfortable.

Said they accept walk ins, however we showed up an hour before closing for a small tattoo, just simple outline, and they said they didn’t have enough time. An employee said it was only a 15 minute tattoo …. Won’t go back.

On a whim I walked into the shop wanting a piercing. I was welcomed in by the front desk girls. Very sweet and professional! I had the privilege of having Johnny piercing my septum. He was very professional and explained everything before he even started. During the process I passed out twice haha, I feel bad but he assured me it was completely normal. (Or was trying to make me feel better) Either way, he did an amazing job! I will definitely be coming back to see him for any future piercings or tattoos. Its a great atmosphere, good prices, professional, and just feels comfy. Like home. Thanks yall! 💗

I’m not from the area and am visiting my in-laws but it’s my birthday month so my husband and I stopped in to look for nose jewelry. Kelly looked high and low for something that suited my taste and I ultimately did not find what I was looking for in my gauge size but the service was amazing. Thanks again Kelly! I wish I could have left you more than this review but want people to know how amazing your service was. ❤️

The guy that did my peicing acted like he knew what he was doing but messed up my nipple. When I asked if being able to see the bar in the center of my nipple was normal. He said that it was fine. After a few weeks I went to another shop was told I needed to remove my peicing that it was done incorrectly. Have been in pain for over a month now. Will not return or recommend this shop to anyone.

Had a nostril and second lobe piercing done by Travis! Process was fast and he was very friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Will definitely be back for more piercings :)

Travis pierced my septum and it was a blast. We vibed to Paramore. The piercing station was so clean and a very comfortable setting. The piercing itself was done quickly and painlessly. The aftercare is printed on a sheet given to the client before the piercing, and the other info like the gauge size of the piercing is on a card with the piercer name and the studios name. I highly suggest going here. I will be returning soon to have Travis do more piercings.

The piercing lady (kelly) was fantastic. Not only did she help get jewelry back into old piercings I thought were closed up, but she talked me thru what she was going to do before she did it. Very knowledgeable, clean, professional. Would definitely go here again.

Went to get a tattoo here by a woman who was on the heavy side, huge tattoo on her left thigh, and I just wanna just wanna say how completely saddened by this being my FIRST tattoo and the experience being absolutely terrible. She was so rude to me, she did not care at all about how the tattoo would look. I now have to go somewhere else and get it completely re done because of how bad it is. You can’t even tell what it’s supposed to be. Please hire professionals, not people like her. I feel terrible for anyone who has to get a tattoo done by her. She should not be in this industry

I had a friend go here for some tattoo work and what was charged vs the amount of art she got was definitely not even close to what she had to pay. I definitely would not recommend or go to this place. And based on some of these other reviews they definitely love to argue with the customer. Good luck to anyone who goes here you won’t get your money worth.

I loved the feel of that place. Adam was the one who did mine and my best friends tattoo and he was super nice and answered all of our questions. I didnt feel like he was getting annoyed by our questions. One part of my tattoo was taking to my skin because of the color and Adam gave us 3 months to go back and refix it without a charge! Definitely will come back for my next one :) I would highly recommend them to anyone getting a tattoo done.

I had Gwyn & Kyle do my Friday the 13th tattoos. They did a fantastic job, are pleasant to chat with, and their lines were absolutely crisp. Im going to recommend this shop for tattoos in the area. One of the better experiences Ive had with tattoos in a while

I love Christina so much. She is kind, patient, and is an amazing artist. We just completed my 6th piece and the originals shes created are so spot on and amazing it is like she drew what was in my mind. I get compliments almost daily on her work. We have 3 more pieces scheduled and Ill never trust another artist with my ink. And if that wasnt enough, the manager Crystal treats you like youre an old friend and remembers your name even if you havent walked in the door in 6 months. No matter how busy she is, Crystal takes the time to treat you as if youre the only one in the shop. I love ASG and highly recommend them.

Gwyndolyn was incredible! She got us in pretty last minute, and was just great to be inked by. My best friend and I got matching tattoos, and it meant so much to have a woman do our ink. She was so accommodating when I needed a second to get my blood sugar back up; it just really put me at ease.I will absolutely come back.

Christina did an amazing job on the tattoo for my grandmother. Everyone is clear when explaining things to you and very professional. The place is clean and comfortable. I will 100% be going back, and recommend this tattoo shop to all my friends.

Got my nose and Tragus pierced today! Adam was great in telling me exactly how it felt and why I shouldnt be worried. Everyone in here is super friendly and funny. Both piercings and a pair of regular earrings only cost me $43! I love this place and if I ever decide to get another piercing Ill come here!

Went there to get my nose done today. Walked in it was very nice and they were very welcoming❤. The place was nice and clean! I signed in around 145 and was in and out by 225 . It was very nice and very quick and the lady who did my piercing was very nice and gentle definitely coming here for all of my piercings!

I went here after having a bad experience with Umbrella Tattoo. I am so glad I did! Adam is amazing! Hes so nice and friendly. He really just sat and talked about what I wanted with me. The place is super clean and great atmosphere. He did a killer job too! I would recommend this place to everyone!

EDIT: I went back to support a friend and not only did they loudly confront me about this review, but they also spent the entire time talking about my review to my friend instead of focusing on her piercing. She is a minor and they used the f-word multiple times while talking to her. The professional thing to do after a bad review is to try and rectify the situation. As another reviewer said, very unprofessional and not how to run a business.Save your money and time, go to Unity. My initial piercing by Adam was a good experience. I really liked him and was happy with my piercing. However, when I had my jewelry changed by Johnny, it was painful and confusing. My piercing immediately became infected and irritated. I went to Unity to get titanium put in and they told me that he had ripped the hole, causing the jewelry to start migrating out of my ear. They removed it free of charge. I bought two earrings from ASG and just tried to return one since I cant wear it anymore. The receptionist just said No returns! And didnt even ask why I was returning. It was still in the original packaging, the least they can do it refund me and throw it out. Terrible customer service and very unprofessional work. You will be amazed at how much better Unity is.

My wife and I were walk ins with a general idea of tattoos that we wanted to get. We had a very positive experience and Adam made time to fit us into his already busy schedule. He was very patient and took the time to draw up our ideas and work through them with us. Since it was our first tattoos, the staff were very educational on what to expect and how to care for the tattoos. Adam ended up having to stay late just to fit us in, but was happy to do so. One week later, our tattoos are looking great and healing up much better than what internet research had shown as the expected norm. Will definitely come back here again and recommend to friends.

Update 2022, change of owners and this place is a joke. Jewelry quality is awful and staff has an attitude problem with everyone. Eeeeekkkkk avoid at all cost.WOW! Johnny is awesome and very professional. He took an old tattoo and put a new spin on it. He made me feel extremely comfortable and calm. I was a walk-in just to see what Johnny could do with it. I loved what we talk about so much that I asked if we could do it same day. My husband used Johnny in the past for a sleeve piece and my husband was blown away by his talent. I really appericate Johnnys kindness and professionalism. The office staff made sure the correct and right forms were filled out. Johnny is a true artist and ASG made me a customer for life.

I’ve been to this shop several times for a few different piercings and consultations. I’ve had experiences with two different piercers, and I am just going to say this- if you’re going to get a piercing, have Adam do it. He’s very kind and jokes around a lot which is nice for when you have a problem with needles (like I do). When my navel piercing was in the wrong place and crooked from my first experience there, he repierced it free of charge and just how I wanted it originally. The receptionists are always friendly, and I never really have that long of a wait. You definitely cannot beat the prices either. Overall, I would rate it a 5/5 thanks to Adams solution to my first problem.

Went in today for a coverup, and got a Harry potter sorting hat. Im so excited I LOVE IT! Adam did such a great job. He made me feel comfortable and hes a funny guy. The shop is so clean, even the bathrooms. Will definitely be seeing Adam again, for more work. Thanks:)

Great selection of body jewelry! (Although the new counter girl was kind of lazy with opening cases for me, and sold me the wrong jewelry for my monroe my last visit.) The old piercer fixed my cleavage piercing for free and got me out of terrible pain. He is no longer there, and they do not currently have a piercer. I always recommend this place! I have no experience with tattoos here.

Had a tattoo from a different shop fixed. Was very happy with the outcome. Shop was huge and full of fun stuff. It was very clean and organized. I also liked that the tattoos were done in separate rooms. Privacy is important to me. Very professional. Highly recommend.

Adam pierced my 6yr old daughters ears. She was thrilled until the first ear was done. Adam was patient and helped to distract her and make her feel better. He did 2nd holes for my mom and me. He was quick, and as gentle as possible. Clean environment. Welcoming staff. Will use for any future piercings or tattoos.

So my intentions were go bring my daughter in for a naval piercing, Ive decided that after reading all the reviews that this is most definitely not the place. While it appears that Adam is a great tattoo artist and apparently great at piercing, I have had the say tattoo guy for well over 14 years drill into my head that you never ever allow someone who is doing tattoos that fay pierce you as well as never allow someone who is doing piercing that day to tattoo you. Definitely not how I want my child to start this journey with cross contamination!

I suffer from frequent migraines so I decided to get my daith pierced and I had an amazing experience. I’m afraid of needles and Adam did an amazing job keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable!Since getting my piercing I haven’t had a migraine! I’m very pleased with the piercing and it is healing up nicely.

What a great experience. I was traveling through on business and called to see if they could fit me in. The receptionist was super friendly, even helping one lady who didnt understand the whole process of getting inked, Adam was easy to work with and improved upon my original concept. Several repeat customers came in while I was there which told me that I made the right choice.

Great people. Their tattoos are great. Ill be back for another tat. However, my 2 ear piercings were not put where I wanted. I enclosed 3 pictures. One of my ear and pictures I showed to the ladies at front desk of where I wanted the piercings located but they were not where I wanted them.

They pierced my tounge that was cool but I brought my 10 gauge hoops in to ask if they could taper them through my existing holes because I had to take them out for awhile but the guy didnt even have a taper and if they did they wanted 20 dollars to do it. Not trying to be rude but I got it done at Body Gallery for 10 bucks no problem.

They never had communication over the phone for what I need to bring with just to get piercings changed out. Front desk needs to have more communication before customers make trips up to the place. Just a waste of gas.

Christina and the entire staff are very welcoming, fun and most importantly, willing to LISTEN. Ive been to other artists and, while I respect their Art, Christina was the only one who asked me what I wanted, rather than telling me what she could do for me. In the end, it allowed me to trust Christina to work her magic. She was able to interpret my desires, design a piece that speaks to me on such a deep level and then placed her art on my body. I have another appointment to finish my piece, and honestly cant wait!From the moment you step in with an idea, through the initial free consultation, and finally from concept to reality, the entire staff works to set you at ease, meets you at your level and, again, LISTENS. Sure, look around, bit in the end you will end up back at A.S.G Ink!

Love this shop! They are very professional with the process. I am very happy with my tattoo which was done by Joshua...he explained what he was going to do and listened to what I wanted. The end result was awesome. I recommend this shop...because Im definitely going back for another tattoo.

My granddaughter had her ears pierced. The gentleman took the time to see she is only 5yrs old, and he played soundtrack of Frozen so she would feel more comfortable. He did a great job !

This place is awful. I payed for my tattoo up front, $200. I was in hospital day before my appointment, and called to reschedule appointment. They gave me a hard time about rescheduling. When was all said and done they told me I couldnt reschedule because i was banned from store, and they wouldnt give me money back because it was against store policy. Shop policy is no refunds, you have to get tattoo once u pay but since they banned me they got around having to give me the tattoo i payed for. I had spent alot of $ in this shop before, but made no difference. Dont get screwed, find a different shop.

It was such a clean and welcoming environment!! they had really cute jewelry options and i was there for less than 30minutes and it looks so good!! shoutout to travis for doing an amazing job giving me all the info necessary and having such a good vibe

Very friendly staff. Work well with your schedule. Takes time to find exactly what you want. Offers great after care advice and products. Can usually get you on straight away for piercings...at least most, in my experience. Answers any questions you may have.

Ive gotten my nostril double pierced about a year ago absolutely adore it and healed perfectly , just went today and got my nipples pierced and my mom got her nose double pierced.Adam the owner/piercer was awesome made us feel comfortable & laugh . He did a amazing job !

Just had three tattoos done by Johnny. Then came to Adam for my piercing. Decided today after not seeing my daughter for two years that we were gonna get tattoos together. With as much as I have just had done and the fact I brought in my daughter as a new client. I wanted a small semi colon and Johnny would not give me a deal. He wanted to charge me the shops minimum of $50. Umm. No. $50 for two dots. But then you charge my daughter $50 for a big saying. But a couple days ago he charged me $15 for an arrow tattoo. But today it was $50. I will be back for my touch ups but I am done with you all as far as tattoos go.

Posting to hopefully stop someone from wasting their time and money like i did. let me just say that at first i was really happy with my visit. johnny, the piercer who pierced my nose, was incredibly nice and seemed to really know what he was doing. placement was great, as i got my nose double pierced and it looked great! i was so impressed that i brought a friend there about a week later to get her nose pierced. when we arrived we signed in and she paid. there was about 5-6 people ahead of us all waiting to be pierced. we were hungry so we approached the front desk to ask if we would be able to go grab something to eat and if they could call us IF we werent back by the time everyone ahead of us was done. we were only planning on being gone for maybe 20 minutes so this was highly unlikely. the INCREDIBLY RUDE woman (red hair and glasses) who was working the front desk snapped at us saying cant you see im busy i dont have time to be calling people. so we asked how long she thought the wait would be so we could for sure be back, she cuts us off and says we dont do appointments and we DONT do refunds so if you leave youre without your money and out of luck. UHM?? theres no need to be snippy and rude when im asking a simple question. we then witnessed this woman checking her facebook, and being rude to other people in the lobby. SOOOOO busy i guess. my friends nose ended up having terrible placement and today i realized that my nose has only been pierced halway for god only knows how long because my hoops had no ball or anything to hold them in place in my nostril. this makes zero sense to me as to why that seemed like a good idea. now im going to have to get repierced. i MOST DEFINITELY will not being returning to ASG, i can tell you that much!!

The guy at the counter was really cool and the one that did my piercing, Travis, was really cool too. For my first time getting a piercing I would give them a 10/10 and it wasnt a very long wait either for a walk in. :)

Went in as a walk in to get a nose piercing changed as I had lost the captive ball to my other one. Receptionist was really helpful in finding a piercing that was the right gauge and that I liked, the piercer was super welcoming and made the change a breeze, would go back again in a heartbeat.

I got my tragus pierced here about a month ago and Im not pleased with it. I got it done and within 4 days the ball fell off because they pierced it with a post that was way too short for the amount of swelling. When I went back in, they gave me a longer post, and the ball fell off of that one within a few days. Valparaiso is about an hour away from my house so its hard to get up there constantly to get it fixed. Now I have messed up tragus piercing because I had to try to put it in myself. I have gotten about 10 other piercings from other places and have never ever had a ball fall off. Usually I have to go back to the piercer to get the ball taken off because it is on there so tight. Oh... Not to mention while I was there the first time, all they did was talk about how much better they were than every other piercing place in the area. My boyfriend got his daith pierced the same day and was told by several other piercers that it was done incorrectly. We will not be returning and definitely would not recommend.

Unprofessional staff. Left messages on the phone, by email and in person for the owner to contact me on covid 19 policies. Never recieved a single reply. Peronally Im new to the area and was looking for a dependable tattoo artist. I have approximately $5,000.00 of ink completed. Their loss not mine.

I’d give no stars if I could. I’m never going to asg again. I’ve gotten multiple piercings done at unity studio and never had a issue but i went to asg for a industrial piercing and help putting in some jewelry on existing piercings and everything got infected. My whole ear for the industrial is infected and I had to go get heavy antibiotics. Not to mention my existing piercings got super irritated and slightly infected. Clearly they do not sterilize things correctly. Do not go there.

I got 2 helix piercings in each ear. The first ear turned out fine. However, the piercings on the second ear are placed much higher and are crooked so they appear to be right next to each other from the front (The piercings make a V through my ear, first 2 pics idk if they uploaded). Now I have to go somewhere else to get another piercing to correct it. Im so mad, half of this was a waste of money and pain, oh the pain.

I love this place. The staff is amazing, I love my tattoo, and the piercing side is awesome too. The best place in Valpo for both tattoos and piercings. They are also very community oriented and do a lot for charities.

I went here for a small memorial tattoo for my cousin who passed away I did a heart on my wrist. When I tell you some lines are faded, thicker then others, every thing about it is uneven. I’m so upset. I wish I could post a picture I’m not sure how.However she was SO KIND. They were SO PROFESSIONAL. But the work was really upsetting..

Ive gotten most of my piercings here and havent had a problem. Its a very friendly environment with very lovely staff members. Certainly will go to get a tattoo when Im allowed.

They conduct their business in such a way that it seems unprofessional and there is a reason they make you pay first and accept no refunds. By the end of our 2 hour visit we paid but received no service. We whatch as they served other customers ( who came in after us) before us. We walked out, dont use your money here!

Do not get piercings done here, now I know why it was so cheap. The jewelry is the worst ive ever seen. My piercing got infected a week after I got it and I went back in and talked to the owner. She was so rude and unprofessional. I couldnt believe it, she said it was my fault and she actually started cursing at me and said get out of my shop. She was screaming at me. This is not how you run a business! Stay away!

The tattoo I wanted was simple, but the tattoo I received looks like a cartoon sketch done by a child. Several lines are nowhere near symmetrical and the few details in the design were carelessly tattooed. Im not happy at all with this tattoo. The fact that Im already trying to figure out a way to cover it up speaks volumes. I recommend going elsewhere.

Just got my nose done. The guy, Adam, was friendly and kind to both my sister and me. Even dealt with my sister squirming and being difficult. She also got her nose done. Pretty quick. Clean as heck. Loved it.

We arrived at 8:45 on a Saturday when the hours clearly say 9pm. The woman working attempted to lock the door on us. While walking away she told us she didnt have a piercer. This business lost a lot of money tonight.

Was recently there yesterday for a tat appointment had an American flag with an eagle in the background and gotta say, bada** lookin, within an hour he had the whole thing almost done. Im still lookin at it like he just finished it. The artist made it look even better than in the original pic. Highly recommend here, awesome job Johnny!!

Have gone twice to piercing side to purchase 4 new dermal to have put in, both times by Adam. N both times they have fallen out with in a few days to a week and this last time which was today, June 7, 2019 my top dermal fell out n was lost within 2 hours. And they will only fix their mistake if iI is back thre same night, which is a little hard for me being a mom, full time college student, n should not have to come back at all! Especially on same day. N which ever girl I talked to put me on hold right in the middle of me saying something, so that was rude af. Now i just want them to fix get another one of their mistakes and I will never go there again.

I went here to get my jestrum and septum pierced. Adam, the piercing artist, was great. He was funny and attentative to how I wanted my peircings to look, while providing a relaxed atmophere. Im happy with what I got and ill be going back for my next tattoos and peircings.

You are a buisness, I am a customer who does not care and had children present. My original review stands, Adam didnt discuss drama with me. Just suggested that you had gem earrings I could purchase for my daughter since he only had metal ball earrings. Seriously so much drama and on my daughters birthday!!Place has gone under since Adam left.

I’ve gotten a tattoo from Jojo and a piercing at asg and both were really good experiences. Jojo is extremely light on the needle and the tattoo still looks amazing months later.

This was horrible. The piercer pierced me wrong & not even in my belly button. It was crooked & with the wrong jewelry. Definitely not worth $25 dollars or the advice they give you to take care of a piercing.

Love Adam hes a great guy and after someone putting the wrong jewelry in my conch piercing adam showed me the right jewelry and changed them out because the person who did it put a 14 gauge belly button ring in my conch and Adam also had to fix and even out my dermals I got done at a different shop cause they were in the wrong spots and not even so Adam took a ruler and measured them out and made them even and had to put better quality jewels on my dermals he is amazing if you want good peircings or tattoos asg is the place to go very clean and very friendly people there by far the best place Ive been to yet
