American Tattoo is a California Classic. Located in Vista Village, this spot exudes clean, casual, cool professionalism. From the brilliant artwork on display (which you can have displayed upon you) to the bright clean work stations, this place is the perfect mash up of vintage and modern. Jon ARTOO Sajonas @artoo_blakwatr applied my simple design (executed by the brilliant @traviswhiteart) with absolute perfection and speed.

Great shop. All the artist are solid and know their trade. Special thanks the Sam for the beautiful artwork and the care and attention give you my family and myself.

Best tattoo shop in town! Artoo is my go to artist and he always kills it. Hunter, Ben, Sam, Blake, Micah and Toni are all really really nice and great artists too! I highly recommend.

This shop is great! I’ve had lots of work done from several different shops and this was hands down the best experience from start to finish. I recently had some work done by Artoo and he took my initial idea and knocked it out of the park. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been coming to this shop for over 15 years. I have got work done by Hunter, Jon, and Blake but honestly anyone in this shop is more than qualified to do anything you put them too. They are the most professional, honest, and trustworthy artist I have even seen. They truly know how to make a client feel welcomed and that they are in good hands. Over the years I have recommended countless people to this shop and they believe everything I have just stated. American will be and always is my first shop to get work done and honestly the only shop I go to now. I’ll be upset when I don’t have space left to get tattooed but can always buy their artwork and clothes they provide. Don’t look any further American is the shop to go. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

My husband and I love coming to this shop!! These people are the nicest you’ll ever find out of any tattoo shop! Blake always knocks my tattoos out! Fine line, traditional, etc, he is good at everything. Super chill dude. Always listens to exactly what you want and makes the tattoo ten times better!

Sarah Spinks has been my tattoo artist for over a decade. I live out of state, and its such a treat to get tattooed every time I visit. Her passion and talent have kept me coming back all these years.

I got a Tatoo here today with Micah.He is very detail oriented and quickly picked up what I wanted to do, and made it customized for me.He was fast, clean and unlike some other artists didnt talk during the process which is usually a sign of perfection and I liked getting tatooed in silence.He is a very good artist and prices are reasonable.The front desk lady was also very nice and welcoming

There I was, a hot summers day, walking through down town vista, when out the the corner my my eye I spotted a quaint little tattoo shop, I approached the door with sweat beading down my face from the hot California sun. As I entered the establishment I was approached by a lovely tattoo artist, legend has it she’s named Toni the tattoo goddess. She needled up and began to ink me. Walked in one day with no knowledge of tattoos whatsoever. I knew what I wanted and showed a rough sketch to Jon, “Artoo”. He turned my sketch into an incredible piece, we agreed on a price and within 1 hour of walking in I was getting my first tattoo. Hunter was my tattoo artist, he did a great job with the drawing that I wanted. Also the prices were great, I was there for 3 1/2 hours and payed 350.Every tattoo that I saw leaveing the shop was well done and all of the staff were professional.

It was wonderful working with Sarah to design exactly the tattoo I wanted. She took my pre-schoolesque sketch and my description of what I wanted and created a fantastic draft that we worked together on to make it exactly what I wanted. Relocating to the area my husband (whom is an artist as well) and I stopped into look at the shop and inquire about a booth. Talk about awkward and unwelcoming! The tattooist did not even come out to greet us and sent us away with the girl sitting up front. Definitely wont be recommending their shop.

Artoo is an amazing artist. He did my Stitch tattoo on my ankle. He also did my boyfriends dragon on his arm.But all the artists are amazing so far ive gotten 1 tattoo from Sam, 1 and a finish up on another one from Hunter and 2 from Artoo :DAbsolutely love this shop :D
