So in love with this place! Such a wonderful family of world class artist! Iv traveled the world been to many many studios and can say iv found my happyiest place. Highly recommend to both artists and collectors! The Vatican will not disappoint! I feel at home there and so inspired on top of that lots of love and laughter 🥰 I give 5 million stars and can’t wait to be back with everyone at the Vatican

The actual shop is such a vibe. It’s worth a visit just to check out. It’s in such a cool location on Sunset as well. I’ve been blessed enough to have received some ink from Freddy. I am a collector and definitely have some of my best pieces from Freddy.

Just got a tattoo from Diego, He did an insane job and is super easy to work with and talk to. I would definitely recommend coming here, overall the shop is nice and the other artists were cool as well. check out @diegoalbanes_art on ig for some great artwork

Diego literally freehanded my idea of a floral vine around my arm so perfect and delicate. One of the cleanest shops I’ve ever been to. Fantastic customer service from team members and seeing legendary Freddy Negrete at the shop is a sight to behold.Parking in Hollywood is usually a pain in the ______ but in this case they have a large parking lot attached to the building.Great combination of service, amazing art, and history! Highly recommend you visit and book a sesh with one of their amazing artists.

I absolutely loved this tattoo shop! I’m originally from the Bay Area, but I came into this shop with an idea of what I wanted and Diego Albanes nailed it! I wanted something to represent my daughters and I and he did just that! He listened to what I wanted, provided ideas, and made it happen. I felt so welcomed, comfortable, and the vibe from Diego and everyone there was just awesome! What a top notch studio!! I remember what this place used to be and my goodness, talk about a makeover! The friendliness of the staff is only rivaled by the creative genius that resides at Hollywood Vatican.From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I was at home thanks to Vince and Gator. And as a Tattooer, the supply store is so handy. They carry nothing but the Best in tattoo supplies.Thank you to the entire HOLLYWOOD VATICAN team for making my experience up there on sunset one to remember. Don’t think I will go anywhere else!

The place is immaculate from the minute you walk in the artwork the layout, the quality of artist that are in the shop or as good as it gets the mural work inside specially the gold lettering by big sleeps

Great energy and very helpful, charismatic staff. Everything is new and super clean. One of the only tattoo shops in Hollywood that carries high quality tattoo supplies and you get to watch how they are used as this is where some of the most talented artists work at.

SO grateful to be among the fortunate people to be tattooed at this studio. from the owner (freddy) to the artist (diego) and everyone in between, i felt welcomed and appreciated. if you have not been, i would defiantly make time to visit. i had no trouble finding parking. the shop is well kept and in order. this tattoo meant a lot to me, i am glad that it was done here among exceptional artists.

There couldn’t be a more accurate name for this tattoo shop. The Hollywood Vatican is the Vatican of tattooing and Freddy Negrete is literally the pope of black and grey fine line tattoo world. He is an innovator and pioneer of the art and getting a tattoo from his like making a pilgrimage to the Vatican and getting blessed by the pope. When you walk into the shop you are taken back by the beautifully designed shop with art work that signifies LA, Chicano, and street culture with a touch of elegance. Freddy has been very kind, humble, and patient working with me collaboratively on researching designs and finding the best artwork to piece together a sleeve that tells a story of my Persian heritage. When your under gun it’s like being in a Time Machine of LA’s many subcultures. He tells the best stories which makes the tattoo experience an unmatched art experience. I feel very privileged that I get to visit Freddy and enter that Time Machine while getting a piece of culture that lives on me forever.

Walked into this shop a few years ago and have been coming back ever since! They’ve recently renovated the place and it looks awesome. Dejah is a great artist and I love collaborating with her on all of the pieces I get, every time I come in for a tattoo I’m eager to get back for another one

I love this shop! Its run by Freddy Negrete, who is about as legendary as it gets, and staffed with some pretty solid artists. Great location and also has a tattoo supply in it - which is nice for people who need supplies quickly.

Epic new Vatican Tattoo Studio and Store in Hollywood. Super friendly staff with insane artists on hand ready to get down on whatever you can dream up for your next tattoo session, or your first. Love the whole vibe in the studio with custom art all over from some of the best in the business, directly from the heart of tattoo culture in Southern California. This is definitely a destination spot to visit on Sunset BLVD when you are in town. I recommend stoping in and checking it out to for yourself! Looking forward to coming back many more times in the future and sitting in the chair with the likes of legend tattoo artist Freddy Negrete, him and Franco Viscovi have totally outdone themselves with this one!
