By far the most coolest and pleasant tattoo experience I’ve had. And I have 30+ tattoos. Shaun tattooed me and he was just great. Mark is a legend and one of the nicest coolest dudes in the tattoo game. The whole place and all the people working there are top tier and I’m without a doubt getting all of my work done there from now on.

Absolutely the most Iconic Tattoo shop in the world. This is how a tattoo shop should be. Each tattoo artist have their own style and have years of experience. Mark is a tattoo legend! The celebs he has tattooed is amazing. Got my tattoo from Freddy Negrete and it is stunning!!!..Beautiful lines and perfect shading. Planning on more!!

I had a great experience here the atmosphere was great and the people were pretty chill. I think this tattoo is amazing, Mike did it, and I’m really glad I got it. Definitely recommend!

Ive been coming to Shamrock for 16 years, & its the only place Ill get tattooed. Everyone is incredibly welcoming - theres no sense of elitism or gatekeeping that you might expect from a shop on Sunset, staffed by some of the greatest artists in the business. The work is so high quality that I make the drive from Palm Springs to get my art done here, & my pieces still look great 10 years later. Absolutely the best, hands down.

I received my first ever tattoo at this shop two weeks ago. I’ll admit that I was nervous upon arriving as i had no clue what to expect. EVERYONE who worked there was so welcoming, chill, and made me feel at ease. Siri did my piece and she is absolutely incredible - amazing place

Nice vibes. Flash art on the walls. Where a few legendary tattoo artists do their work. Mahoney and Negrete are occasionally there, especially during the earlier opening hours before 10PM.

Very professional and clean place. I got a portrait tattoo by Freddy. I am very pleased and happy with his work! Freddy is such a talented guy, he is a perfectionist and has a soft hand! I love my tattoo, the portrait is 100%! I have scheduled a few more appointments with him for future work.

I decided to go to Shamrock because my friend Greg got a tattoo here and had a good experience so I thought Id give them a shot. I called and made an appointment with Jake, who was available pretty quickly which was nice. Day of I took some printed inspiration materials and Jake was able to draw exactly what I wanted. Took about 3 hours to finish my forearm piece.. and it is so much better than what I was envisioning.The entire atmosphere of the place was inviting and all the artists were nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and Id love to go back for another tattoo. My attached picture is fresh out of the shop with the film on it and the glare doesnt do the tattoo justice.

Amazing skilled service. I was a walk in with an idea already in place for my first tattoo. They treated me professionally, openly accepted the drawing I brought in, and made some great suggestions. I was even lucky enough to have the man himself, Mark Mahoney, give the positioning and scale a look over as he was getting ready to leave.I will absolutely be back.

I usually only write positive reviews because I don’t like putting out negativity, however I think people need to know how poorly this place treats people. When given an idea for a tattoo that was drawn out they immediately shot it down and were not willing to even play around with the idea. When the artist came up with a idea it was no where near what the original idea was. They only will do what they want to do and they do not accommodate the customer. They had no customer skills, disrespectful and talked about customers behind their back and continued to act better than. They were not helpful and it was an incredibly uncomfortable environment that they created. I would have left but my husband really wanted a tattoo. The only reason for the two star is because the tattoo was amazing. However the way they treat people I personally don’t feel it was worth it... there are places that do an amazing job and treat people with respect.

I walked in with my friend and received horrible service. The guy that was helping me was talking crap about me and my friend right in front of us. Not friendly at all. Every time I asked a question he would roll his eyes at me and stare at me like I was an idiot. I should have just left but heard great things about the artists and really wanted a tattoo. The tattoo came out great, but the service was horrible.

The attitude runs rampant here. The artists dont talk with the until the manager makes all the arrangements. My piece was fine ... but nothing that warrants that sort or wierd client/artist membrane. Overall not very friendly and the shop isnt clean or cool enough to make you want to go back.

Just spent 3 full days working with “The God Father of Black and Grey Ink” ( Freddy Negrete) Such a pleasure to collaborate with him, his professionalism exceeds anything i have ever experienced, himself and the rest of the crew and Shamrock Social Club were so down to earth and considering I traveled all the way from NY they made me feel right at home in their LA establishment! So much talent and life at this shop on the sunset strip in the heart of West Hollywood! Dont waste any time book your appointments Asap! I am soo happy with the work i got done! Id give this place 10stars if google let me lol Big shout out to the boys at the Shop! Freddy! Big Gator! Alex! My hommie Mark! See you guys real soon! I had my tattoo done here and I am extremely pleased. The service was great and my tattoo artist was mad cool. Island Mike did my tattoo and it was beautiful!!! Thank you all at Shamrock for making my experience GREAT!!!😎

A bit strange to leave a review as I’ve not had a tattoo here. However I can comment on the service as when I called today the guy was really helpful in advising me of the first steps. He was friendly and courteous

I got this small gem from Boo Boo specifically the last time I was in LA. & I planned on seeing him again the next I would be in town (which is now) to add to this piece. He was the only reason I came into the shop & I got great service from him. May his soul Rest In Peace 🙏🏼

Amazing place, amazing artists. Freddy did an incredible job on my tattoos. Traveled all the way from Mississippi for tattoos. Will definitely be back again, and make this place my only destination for work.

This is one of the best black and gray tattoo studios in LA. So you must call in an appointment several weeks in advance. Lots to do in neer by Hollywood.
