I got my first piercing by Shorty in 2017, a triangle piercing, which requires a lot of skill and technical knowledge and he made such an impression that I can still remember hpw he walked me through everything from how the autoclave sanitizes the jewelry to how and why he was checking my anatomy. I had actually come in for a different piercing, but I didnt have the anatomy for it, and he explained a few similar options I did have the proper anatomy for, and I chose the triangle piercing. Sadly, I had to remove it, and it closed up after having my last child. So after a local shop to me on the west coast of FL recently botched redoing it for me, I was looking for an APP piercer to redo it and I saw Shorty was still piercing and had his own shop so I reached out to him and let him know what happened. He let me know how long I needed to wait and let it heal so I could come in and have it done right. He offered to help me find someone local who is qualified to do it but he is the only person I trusted to do it right so I drove 4 hrs each way to get pierced by him and he was just as professional and ethical as I remembered. He did it perfectly, and I couldnt be happier or more thankful. You could not ask for a better piercer. He is honest, humble and incredibly kind, and empathetic. He will be the first to admit he is not perfect. No piercer is, but he will always do his best to give clients a safe and positive experience. His shop is small but clean and well set up with lots of beautiful jewelry options for you to peruse as well. I would make the 8 hour round trip again to get pierced by him any day. This is the man you want piercing you.

So friendly and so patient. I honestly expected my 6 year old to back out but she went through with it and she said Mr. Shorty was so nice and helped me be brave . Make sure you follow the directions about getting a notarized form. Also no piercings under 6 and you must make an appointment. Shorty is AWESOME! I finally decided to move forward with a VCH (hood) piercing. Shorty is beyond professional and thorough and explained every single step. The pain was nothing really, cant even use the word pain, it was a fraction of a second and there was no residual pain, at all. A little sensitive but never had any issues and we were able to resume our intimacy sooner than later. The piercing has added so much fun to our intimacy, beyond amazing and I just love it. Went in for a double helix, super professional and helped pick out jewelry as I was indecisive. Very straightforward about your anatomy and what would be better for you in terms of healing and how it would fit. Shorty is super nice and very easy going during the whole process (helps a ton if you’re getting your piercing done for the first time). Sterilization on everything he uses and the place is very clean. Helped me get my dream piercing and will definitely be going back for more!

Shorty is so professional and knowledgeable. He really cares about his work and the people he performs it upon. Hes also great at troubleshooting piercings (by other piercers) & figuring out if they will heal or if they need to be removed, then replaced after the healing process. I couldnt recommend him more highly!

I called Shorty’s today. The girl that answered the phone was very nice. I asked if I could email a photo of what I was looking for and she said “sure”. I emailed the photo and Shorty got on the phone. Shorty explained to me what piercings weren’t doable because of their locations (the photo was photoshopped) and he also explained that one of the piercings wouldn’t last more than three months because of the placement. I was very happy that he didn’t tell me to come in and have it done just so he could make money off of me, like some other places would’ve done. I already have a lot of respect for him and I haven’t even met him yet. Once I figure out exactly what I want, I will definitely give them my business.

Shorty is super knowledgeable, a great piercer and a really amazing person! The shop is clean and has great plants and the jewelry is high quality. But what really made my experience stand out is that Shorty helped me out with 2 separate piercing emergencies. He was very responsive and even made a trip to the shop (when it was closed, on his wife’s birthday) to help me out. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I’ve taken two teens to Shorty’s for piercings over the last year and have been very happy with service, cleanliness and knowledge. Shorty is very kind and patient, he pierced my needle-phobic daughter with barely a peep from her. Danny pierced my other teen’s septum and was also super kind and patient. Both explain the entire process from start to finish, there are no surprises. Cleanliness is top notch, and they explain what to expect while you’re there. We won’t go anywhere else.

Shorty is a very talented and knowledgeable artist. He was very patient and professional in answering all our questions and gave very good advice and recommendations. You feel at ease very quickly. He even recommended a piercer that might be closer as we traveled 1.5 hours to get there. However we will take the ride back for sure! It is worth it. I highly recommend Shorty for ear piercings or repiercings, particularly if you have a daughter and/or sensitive ears. Both my daughter and I have had our ears pierced in the past (both of us have had infections, and I have had new sensitivites pop up), but the holes closed up or became tough to get through during the COVID years when we stopped wearing them. Shorty helped repierce one of my daughters ears and opened up the other. For me, he just needed to get through holes that had been there for decades but were super sensitive and difficult for me to get through on my own. Neither my daughter nor I had any issues after Shorty worked on our ears, which is a first! His place is clean, and I cannot say enough about how thorough and careful he is with cleanliness, sterilization, and precision. Hes great! Moms, you can feel safe with your kids going to him. Hes personable and, as mentioned above, very careful!!

Ive been following Shorty around for 15 years now, hes just that great. I love that there was no one else in the shop when I arrived for my appointment, really gives an upscale/personal experience. The jewelry options are amazing, and Shorty is so thorough and gives details about every step. This is a place where you dont feel like theyre trying to get you in and out. What a great experience! Shorty is very professional and highly educated in his piercing profession. Just two months ago I had my nose pierced some where else. Later on I suffered a irritation bump because of the lack of knowledge the piercer had. Thank goodness for Shorty taking care of my problematic piercing. I got my daith pierced and he had answered several questions for me the day before. It was virtually painless and the healing process isnt bad at all. I took my 9 year old daughter to Shorty to get her ears pierced today and was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the front and back of his facility. I was more impressed with how knowledgeable and professional Shorty was and how he explained each and every step to my daughter before during and after. My daughter was so calm throughout the entire piercing process because of Shorty. I also have to give a shout to Ari his assistant, super polite and professional. The mood in this shop was awesome, we all joked and laughed except when shorty was performing his art and than he was 100% professional with a side of humor. When you walk into the shop, its like being in a small jewelry store, when your in the piercing room, its like being in a doctors office but impeccably cleaner, amazing. As far as price, Shortys is definitely more expensive than the retail piercing places but there is no comparison. Quality grade titanium jewelry, super clean facility that follows Covid19 guidelines and state regulations for piercings, experience, no pressure in fact, Shorty lets you know he will stop at anytime during the piercing process. If you are thinking about getting your childs ears pierced I would 110% recommend you go to Shortys and not the mall for so many different reasons. Shorty also schedules a free 1 month follow up for your child or yourself to inspect the healing process of the piercing. Try getting that at the mall. I think at the mall they use one alcohol wipe, Shorty completely cleans and sterilizes your childs ears and drapes the area, I mean, 110% sterile as can be. I could go on about how impressed I was from the ease of the website to the actual piercing. Trust the reviews on here, they are accurate.

On Monday I had the pleasure of being pierced by Monica Sabin and everything was beyond perfect! I could spend the next 100 years of my life describing how amazing their bedside manner was and how gentle things went. Monica was delightful. She set expectations of what was needed for a childs ears to be pierced (paperwork). Then made sure the child was addressed and spoken to throughout the whole process making her (the girl) feel comfortable, in control, and knew how to take care of the piercings at home. Very attentive. Clean shop and keeping very safe covid precautions.Return visit a year later and saw Shorty. I will never not suggest this place. They looked up her records, were happy to see us again and look at her ears. Cheap department store jewelry education for us all, and a comforted little.

I waited a few days to give my review because I wanted to see how well my piercing healed. Let me start by saying that this was by far the most professional, clean, enjoyable piercing establishment I have ever been to. It was a bit pricey but you are getting high quality jewelry and service. I did go during COVID and was blown away at the amount of care went into my appointment. The establishment was beyond spotless and everything that could have been done to ensure my safety was done. I have been pierced in the same spot (cartilage) at multiple establishments and always end up taking it out due to the healing process being to painful and just not healing healthy or correctly. It has been a few days and let me tell you my piercing is almost pain free which is uncalled for in this specific spot. Shorty was absolutely amazing and highly highly skilled and professional. I will never go anywhere else again! He has found a customer for life! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! 10/10

I have had the pleasure of getting pierced by each employee of this establishment. Shorty, Ari, and Monica are all professional! They each take great pride in their craft and are incredibly sterile. Shorty is very funny and takes your mind off of the pain of a piercing by talking you through it. Ari is so sweet and goes step by step through the piercing so you know what’s happening. Monica is very calming and breathed with me during my piercing process. All three are informative and caring and I would highly recommend being pierced at this establishment by any three! I have been to both the old place on Dixie and the new spot on Belvedere. Both sites were immaculate and especially during Covid times, felt very safe and protected. Met with Shorty and Ari and they discussed placement, hardware, care and heal time. Ari was gentle and quick! I love my helix moon piercing and have recommended Shortys to several friends. This was an absolutely excellent experience, from start to finish! I felt so welcomed when I entered the shop, and right away I was taken care of. This was the best experience I have ever had getting pierced! Shorty wad very nice and answered everything we asked and in detail. Also explained a lot about his jewelry that he uses and the quality of it that I never new before! I like that everything was sterilized in front of you while you wait. This made the process longer than expected but that was great because you knew he goes above and beyond to do a great job and make you feel comfortable and also gave more time to talk and ask as many questions as needed. Amazing piercing experience. I drive over an hour just to come get pierced with Shorty and will never go anywhere else! He pierced my nose and re-pierced my navel. Hes extremely professional, friendly and takes the time to explain and answer any questions. The shop is hygienic. He makes himself available for you to come back in for a follow up to see how youre healing. Honestly, this is the best place for body piercings.

Awesome experience. I was trying to find a piercer for my extremely intimate piercing and i found shorty. Best decision Ive ever made and awesome piercer i met. I accidentally made an appointment for later in the day but he was able to take me in early since i thought i made an appointment for 12:30 but instead made one for 3:30. He walked me through what he was doing and explained his reasoning behind his doings. Shorty gave me insight to the jewelry for the piercing i wanted but decided to go simple for it to heal best by my decision. He was able to let me bring in 2 friends in his office space to be my support and to calm me down and distracted. He cleaned me, did the piercing and afterwards he gave me instructions and what to do and what not to do. If i ever decide to have another piercing i would definitely come back to shorty. Calm, patient, walked me through everything and EXTREMELY CLEAN. Im really happy with my ending decision. ☺☺

I went in 2 weeks ago to get pierced by Shorty. The shop was extremely clean and all safety measures were followed. Shorty was very thorough in explaining everything from start to finish. He is very professional with such a caring and calming demeanor, he put all my fears to rest.

I got two piercings re-pierced today after they had been retired for 2 years. Although it was uncomfortable, Shorty made sure I was OK and explained in detail how the appointment would go. He was incredibly clean, and his shop was as well. Thankful that only one of the piercings had to actually be pierced, and the other tapered. Its 100% worth going to someone APP certified!

Such a great experience I went back a couple weeks later(today) to add another piercing! I had a belly button piercing in college that never healed and left a lot of scar tissue. Shorty was able to redo it (after about 7 years of not having one). He made me feel so comfortable and the piercing was much less painful that the first time. It has healed without any problems which surprised me after such a bad first experience. I got two lip piercings done by Monica today, and had the best time!! In addition to the new piercings, I had some older ones I wanted to switch the jewelry on. Monica took the time to discuss what would meet my needs as far as picking out the size I wanted pierced at and was very receptive and accommodating to me needing extra long initial jewelry. I tell everyone that ever pierces me that my body likes to swell as an immune response and I need the extra, extra long stuff and it was amazing to be listened to and trusted instead of being ignored and having to come back which has happened to me at other shops. Also, Monica did not rush the marking process before piercing and we were able to have honest conversation and remarking to get the spots in the right place and the outcome is amazing!!I have been pierced by Shorty in the past, so I knew the shop is top tier, and Monica is no exception!! Theyre both amazing and being pierced by either you will be in the best hands!! Also Ari is so super sweet and we talked about plants while Monica was setting up, and was also a great participant in lining up my lip piercings! Outstanding experience! I couldnt have found a cleaner and more professional place for my 8-year-old daughter to get her ears pierced for the first time. She was, understandably, nervous at first, but as soon as we walked in they did everything to put her (and me) at ease: Disney music was playing on the radio, everything was methodically explained to us before, during and after the procedure, and she left feeling like she was a 9-year-old (thats a big deal for her, haha). Within an hour of the piercing she completely forgot they were in and said she felt zero soreness. What a fantastic experience! Now my 6-year-old is begging to go... thank you for everything!

I received a basic ear piercing from Claires that ended up not being so basic. Although I was following proper cleaning instructions, The piercing agitated my skin, which caused undeniable swelling, and the stud to go into my earlobe. Claires refused to do anything about this.Enter Shorty. A true professional. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and provided an ambiance that was second to none (SUPER CLEAN). Not only did he retrieve the lost earring, he took effort in time to size me with the proper jewlery to ensure this wouldnt happen again.I walked out with high quality, affordable jewlery, and will definitely be returningto get more. I would reccomend this company to anyone who seeks to get any body art, by knowledgeable, competent people.

Went in for an Apadravya. Shorty was amazing, very professional and informative. He let me know in his professional opinion there’s a chance it may not work given my anatomy and suggested I was a better candidate for a PA. Got the PA instead. The procedure wasn’t painful. He ensured and showed you that the equipment used was very sterile and he prepared me for what to expect in the healing process. His Covid procedure policy is great too! Strongly recommend and definitely would be going back.

I have never met a more professional piercer - honestly, if I didn’t live in the area I would fly in to visit Shorty. His shop is pristine, has a great selection of jewelry to choose from and is overall a super rad guy. (He has an assistant in the shop who’s also super nice & I feel bad I didn’t get her name, but she’s great.) I recently had to visit during COVID times (if that’s what we’re calling it now) to swap out a piece, and do yourself a favor - just visit his page & click on his COVID guidelines. I’ve been to docs and a dentist during this pandemic, and not ONE has been as sterile and thoughtful as Shorty’s place. (Oh plus, he’s talented, so there’s that.) 👌🏻

If I can give more than 5 stars, I would!!! Highly recommend. I needed my philtrum repierced because I was unhappy with it. To clarify I did not originally get my philtrum pierced here. I came here and my experience was sooo much better! Very sanitary, he takes his time, he’s precise and is patient with any questions you may have. The pain level felt lower with him & today is the day after and I’m barely swollen and no bleeding. Mind you, my first experience felt like hell. I’m extremely satisfied and if I need any more piercings in the future I WILL come here and definitely recommend anyone I know. Thank you!!!

I have had three piercings done by Shorty and he has been professional from beginning to end. Shop is neat and clean. You can make an appointment but if you dont, its not a long wait. He doesnt rush and happily answers ALL of your questions. Go to him, you will not regret it.

Such a horrible custumer service experience. I went today to get my ear pierced done. I took an uber to make it on time for my appointment I got there 10 minutes earlier and they made me wait outside I was melting wich its fine, I TOTALLY understand the Covid-19 precautions but It wasn’t anyone inside at the store in the waiting area other thant . My appointment was at 1 pm and it was 1:20 pm still outside waiting for a total of 30 minutes in a warm weather until I knock on the door to let them know that I was leaving.l, no one came outside to apologize the waiting time or to offer any water nothing. Thank you Shortys Fine Jewelry because aren’t get my piercing and for also made me loose my time.
