Charity is awesome! Went into the shop with a small group, one was a first timer and Charity was so good with her. She is very light handed, professional, great artist and fun!!! Very good experience and will be back for more ink!

The service I received here went above and beyond my expectations. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and a welcome! I came in for a walk-in tattoo, and was told that the only person who had availability was their apprentice, Charity. I met with her and showed her my design, and she went over all the details with me as far as how small or large the design needed to be in order to get all the finer details of the tattoo, and the best placement. She showed me her previous work, and I decided to let her do my tattoo. She was very sweet and accommodating throughout the entire process and helped me through my apprehension. She advised me that I may need a touch-up simply due to the location and size of the tattoo, which is understandable due to the finer details! The studio was extremely clean, as was Charitys room! She had an awesome vibe, she was sanitary and informed me of everything she was doing before, during, and after the tattoo. My entire experience here was amazing, from the time I walked in until the time I left! Charity did an amazing job on my tattoo!! I would definitely recommend her even though she is still an apprentice (she has been permitted since May 2023). She knows what she is doing and will be upfront and honest with you throughout the entirety of the tattoo process!!

I like this place & have had no issues the two times I have come. My only suggestion would be to update their hours. From my understanding & according to google, this place close at 6. I came at 4:50pm on a Monday and as I was about to walk in, a worker turned their open sign off and locked up. Had I known about their early closing, I would not have wasted my time going.

A wonderful tattoo at a good price. Charity was a wonderful and enjoyable artist to work with! She spent as much time as I wanted on sizing, color, and placement. 10/10 will go back to her again!!!

I have been following Tattoo Therapy on Instagram for a while. I was excited when I saw that Miss Charity joined the team as an apprentice! I met with Miss Charity back in February during a Valentines Day flash. She had two designs I just had to have! She was super kind and was able to answer any questions that I had regarding any changes. Miss Charity made me feel comfortable and welcome throughout the appointment and the tattoos came out beautiful. I will definitely be returning to her!! Went in for a birthday tattoo for my mother, Charity was my girl and she did an amazing job and made sure that I was comfortable and okay. She walk me through everything that was going happen. Tony Fleshman aka Flesh gets all the credit for this one.I went in with a simple picture of a gibson guitar, Eric Churchs signature and the lyrics of what I wanted it to say. I gave him an idea of what I wanted, he then created a masterpiece. If you need a badass tattoo artist hes worth the trip & wait! I loved his selection of music. He made my tattoo experience with him very pleasant. This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, very cool people and a all-around great environment. I have debated a lot in the past few hours about whether or not I should leave a review and have come to the conclusion that it is the right thing to do in order to prevent others from having the same experience I did. My friend and I went to Tattoo Therapy today around 1pm inquiring about walk in availability. We were told there was only one artist working today but that she could fit us in. There was one person ahead of us, who was getting an extremely simple tattoo and somehow we still waited for over an hour. No big deal, it happens. When we did end up going to the back there were immediate red flags but we chose to give the artist the benefit of the doubt, my friend’s tattoo was finished after about an hour and looked decent, I however, can not say the same for mine. I sat in the chair for upwards of two hours for a less than sub par tattoo, the artist clearly knew she had effed up and spent most of this time trying to fix and cover up very obvious errors. All of the lines are shaky, they are also uneven in width, and in some places the stencil was very clearly not even being followed. Upon leaving the shop, I was not even close to happy with the work I had just gotten done, but was not initially planning on leaving any type of review. That is, until I found the artist on instagram and found out she is an apprentice and has only been officially licensed for about four months, information that was not disclosed to us whatsoever, she mentioned towards the end of the session that she had only been tattooing for a little less than a year, but at that point, clearly, since it was nearing the end, it was too late to do anything with that information. She also continually repeated that it would be ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for me to come back in for a touch up… If you are having to assume that immediately upon healing your work will need any type of alteration, then something isn’t right.Honestly I am most disappointed with the fact that we were extremely (and seemingly intentionally) mislead, as someone who has participated in a tattoo apprenticeship before this entire situation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Had we been properly informed of the skill level and experience of the artist to begin with, we would have had the opportunity to make our own decision based on the information provided. Everyone involved should have been straightforward about the fact that the piece I asked for was not something that was part of the artist’s skill set, and probably wouldn’t turn out the way I wanted. Customer satisfaction is clearly not the main priority of this business if this behavior is deemed acceptable. If you do still insist on getting a tattoo from here, do NOT get it from Charity. She is an apprentice but that information is NOT disclosed to you. Her line work is not acceptable at all. She is very inconsistent and cannot follow a simple stencil. I understand that the art of tattooing is difficult, but there is no reason she should even be allowed to tattoo on real human skin at this point in her learning process, especially without properly informing clients of her level of skill and experience. It is beyond reckless for the owners to allow this (below) subpar work in their place of business, especially at the price point of an experienced professional. I will allow grace for her still being an apprentice, but good God. For something that is permanently etched into your skin, you would think the owners would have enough care and concern to put someone on the floor who is equipped for the task. This isnt a hobby you can just pick up one day, you cant afford to make mistakes on a PERMANENT tattoo. I am extremely upset and disappointed, and honestly am unsure if this tattoo can even be salvaged by someone more experienced, I am upset that I wasted my time and money, but most of all that I will have to look at this tattoo on my body for the rest of my life.

I gave one star because I couldnt give zero stars. Steer clear from this place they are dishonest and will lie to you. I had an appointment to get a tattoo and two days before my appointment they contacted me and said that the artist that they had me scheduled with was no longer with them. And I would have to reschedule. But they had no artist at all to reschedule with. I would have to wait until they hired someone or I could come back and get $45 of my $100 deposit. They said they already gave the artist that had left $55 of it. I contacted the artist and she gave me back the $55. But tattoo therapy is now saying they never told me they would give me back the $45. Worst tattoo experience ever. How can you want someone to reschedule with an artist that they havent even hired or found yet?

As always amazing experience today with Miss Charity . My tattoo came out exactly as I wanted and its beautiful.The conversation therapy was much needed. Yall go see Charity, shes awesome.

Anna is a talented, patient, and very sweet artist. Definitely the most comfortable tattoo shop and artist I’ve ever been to. She was so light handed that I seriously could’ve fallen asleep!! I will definitely be giving them my business from now on for the rest of my tattoos. :)

I had a great experience at Tattoo Therapy! My artist was Sarah Lacy whom was recommended to me by a friend. I gave Sarah a general idea of what I wanted, gave her artistic freedom, and she created a phenomenal design. It was everything I didnt know I wanted until I saw it! Sarah was professional and easy to get along with, as was everyone else in the shop. The shop is very clean and organized. This was not my first shop, or my first tattoo, but I intend to give this all women owned tattoo parlor my business in the future.

Only because I cant give 0. Steer clear of Amanda b. Absolutely most horrid tattoo Ive ever received. She refused to look at it or to even try and fix it. Thankfully I found a real artist who could cover it up and wipe that disaster from my arm. I just could not look at her blown out, sharpie colored mess any longer. Do not recommend.

Being a walk in, from the moment we stepped foot in the shop it was nothing but pure hospitality. Everyone was so nice and amazing to us. A couple of us got a valhalla symbol tattoo by mikayla and she did an amazing job! I believe she only does flash tattoos at the moment because she is just getting started but giving her a chance is well worth it! Sam did the other two people in our group walk in and she did awesome as well! Overall very pleased and they even give two years to come in and have a touch up if needed! One of my favorite tattoo shops just because of the family environment they have!

Tony did my tattoo and did an AMAZING job! I am so happy with my new ink on my wrist. Heather pierced my tragus and was informative, gentle, and quick! The shop is VERY clean and every artist has their own room so it’s private. Josh is always nice and speaks to everyone to make sure that you have been taken care of. Heather is an amazing piercer! Ive had a few piercings done by her, in addition to the several Ive done elsewhere. Heather is a more professional piercer than those Ive used in the past. She explains the jewelry that shes using, why she uses that type for a certain spot, and how to remove it. Shes also clear with markings/options. Its been such a great experience for me, cant recommend enough!

Went in got a price and time to return for tattoo. Returned at the time told too, got told you need to come back at a different time because they booked someone elae and we did not put a deposit down. Explained I was never asked for a deposit just told a price and to return at specified time. When I said I can not return at a later time and walked out the person was not happy and slapped her hands together and mummbled something at the person I was with. Went somewhere else to get the tattoo and they where friendlier and actually asked for the deposit. Very disappointing after seeing all the good reviews. I honestly thought the bad ones where bs guess not.

All of the staff are talented, extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Anna was my artist and I’ve seen her twice so far for black and white art and fine line art work she is amazing. Heather also is excellent at piercings she did my nose ring and I barely felt it at all.

Staff was very nice and accommodating, there was a fridge with cold drinks by the front that was lovely and the lady who pierced my nose and helix had a very lovely little room with great vibes and the process was quick!!

The shop was clean and very well decorated. I went in for a bellybutton piercing, and the piercer told me I didnt have the right anatomy, which let me know shes a good piercer. I got my nose done instead and she did a wonderful job! They were also playing Pink Floyd, so I definitely recommend

I went to this shop today to get my septum pierced and my third lobes repierced. Heather was so incredibly professional and did an amazing job piercing my ears and septum! I tend to psych myself out when it comes to piercings but she made me feel relaxed and calm. One thing I dread about piercings is getting rushed but Heather took her time with me and answered all the questions I had! I love love love my septum and I definitely recommend this shop and Heather to anyone looking to get any type of piercing.

I wanted to love this place and hopefully find a new tattoo artist since mine moved. I was greeted by two people outside on a smoke break, they asked what artist I was interested in and they said all bookings were for November to July for any artist after I gave the 2 I was interested in. When I asked about seeing some work a girl handed off her cig for the other to hold so she could give me business cards and tell me I’d have to come back to schedule an appointment/ pay the deposit. If you call your told to come in (walk in welcome?) but I felt like i was an inconvenience and just wanted to get out. The place looked clean and I had a friend that had a great experience but I won’t be going back.

Went to get my daith pierced almost a week ago, and the experience was amazing! Heather was super great and talked me through everything :) When I got dizzy after, she got me something to drink and stayed until we both knew I was going to be okay walking out. If I ever want to get more piercings, I know who Im going to! Loved my experience!

I got a tattoo there 2 weeks ago on my hand. Since then part of the tattoo has completely disappeared. I called and asked about my free touch up and they said I had to use it within 3 months which isn’t possible now since I’m expecting. I asked if they would honor it once I’m no longer pregnant and they said no. The tattoo artist herself was really kind but I can’t recommend a place that doesn’t stand by their work and is that inflexible to customers.Update; tattoo is completely gone. Less than a month after getting it and paying the shop minimum of $100. What a waste. Go anywhere else but them.

Tattoo Therapy is the place to go to get tattoos and piercings! Heather has done six piercings for me. She’s always there to greet you at the door. She makes you feel comfortable. She is extremely sterile, everything used is clean, and if she doesn’t have a certain piece of jewelry for you she will order it. Her piercing style gets the job done, she’s fast, but precise! Mike also did three tattoos for me! You give him a picture and he can tattoo it! But, he doesn’t just copy a picture he makes it better. He’s really good at water color (never heard of water color tattoo) me neither check him out. I also love the fact that when you make an appointment they stick to it! Period! If I need any more tattoos or anything else pierced I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Tattoo Therapy is the best!!!

I got a memorial lifeline tattoo in my husbands honor. Sarah was the tattoo artist. She did an excellent job. I have a cover up tattoo scheduled in August.

The service was excellent. They have fantastic artists. My daughter went there and got two tattoos and recommended that I go there to get my next tattoo. Im so glad she did. I told Andy the idea that I had for my tattoo, and she was able to create it. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing.

I was coming for an simple consultation for my first tattoo. My GPS took me the wrong way, so I called them, got the correct address, and assured them that I was on my way. I called back 10 minutes before closing to tell them I am almost there, but got no answer. I arrived 5 minutes before closing and they were locked. I could see people in the building, but nobody came to the door. Not only did I waste time and gas, but the person I spoke to could have told me not to come. If you close at 7 then so be it, but not 5 minutes before when you know someone is racing to get there.

OMG! Absolutely love Karen. She did 2 cover ups for me. One of the covers other artists at other shops said they couldnt fix. Karen didnt hesitate and was super light handed. We walked in to get my 6 year old daughters ears pierced. Heather did an amazing job. She obviously does lots of kids and was great at making her feel comfortable and letting my daughter do it on her terms. My daughter didnt even notice when the first ear was pierced. I highly recommend going to see Heather!!

Had my rook and tragus pierced by Heather. I hate needles and have a pretty questionable pain threshold - but Heather worked as quickly and gently as possible. Russ was on hand for emotional support, the whole process had me feeling at ease (aside from the whole pain factor). The store itself is very clean and professional.Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

The only person I have worked with is Heather and received 2 piercings. She is great and really knows her craft. I have seen the work of the tattoo artists and will be going there to have more ink done. All customers I have encountered left happy with beautiful work.

This was my second time here and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Sarah Lacy has done lots of work on my arms and she is excellent at what she does. She will be finishing both my arm sleeves when Im ready.

Gotten all 3 of my tattoos here and every time, the tattoo artists are kind, helpful, and full of personality. They make you feel comfortable and give you top notch quality with your tattoo. I got my first tattoo last week. #Flesh has a light touch and a great eye. We tweaked a piece I was wanting and with his talent it turned out beautiful. Everything was explained very thoughtfully all the way down to after care. The environment was peaceful and calm. I will be back to have more work done!

Went for a replacement tragus earring. They didnt have a selection to look through so I had to go somewhere else (wasnt 100% sure what I wanted), but Hannah was super helpful and patient even with several others waiting on her. Would definitely recommend!

I am a regular at tattoo therapy and I highly recommend their services. Heather is a knowledgeable piercer and really great at what she does. Ive been tattooed only by Russell and Josh and they do great work. I dont doubt the other artists are wonderful as well.

Worst service here , the lady in the front was extra rude , telling me i was late for my appointment, when i was there at 8:30 am waiting for my tattoo artist to get in , which my tattoo artist was late . they didn’t open till 10 that day an i was waiting outside till they opened the door …

I have gotten my daiths my tragus and my conch done. Heather is awesome. She tells you everything she is going to do before she does it . I highly recommend her for any pirecing that you want.

Very clean shop. They provided samples of each artists work so you can decide who would be best for what you want to get. They only accept cash but do have an ATM in the shop. I am incredibly pleased with my tattoo. It came out better than I imagined.

Highly recommend. Stopped by to get my nose repierced(had to take out for 2 long last 2 times)and Heather was sweet as could be and professional. And it hurt like hell and made eyes water last 2 times from other shops. ButBut Ihar felt anything but pressure and it was over. She made sure to let me know how to clean and take care of it. And $40 for jewelery and piercing wasnt bad in my book. Some are cheaper but she was worth it. Will be back for ink now. Im from Statesville but dont mind driving there at all

I was going to get a tattoo by Eric which I was actually pretty excited about because he seemed to have a pretty good idea of what I wanted.... But when I ask the girl receptionist if my friend could sit in the front waiting room with my baby sheshe was she was very rude about it and told me that if my baby cries that she has to go outside. Its too bad for the guys that work there that their receptionist is making them lose money

Heather pierced my daughters ears (shes 12 and this was her second hole) she was informative, friendly, helpful and made my daughter and me feel great about this experience! Cant wait to go back!

I went to receive walk in service the employees were disrespectful. As the opening employee witnessed us walking to the door they did not unlock the door and made us call. We then were asked what we wanted and they proceeded to tell us they did not have any availability until May, for something that would take 30 mins to do and then as we were leaving all the employees came outside to smoke and drink coffee. Do not come here the service is horrible!

Over priced. owner seems like she doesnt care. the actual work of the tattoo artist does not impress me nor matches the quote amount. closed door tattoo also throws me off.
