I have been going to Johnny for the past 8 years now and have both my arms sleeved up, full leg sleeves, and other work and he does a phenomenal job! He’s always patient and full of knowledge! He always available when I schedule with him and has reasonable pricing! I always suggest him for anyone who wants a tattoo around the Douglas County area.

Love this place! Always love coming here! Wanted to get a small pineapple in Hawaii but it was way too expensive so I got this little guy to commemorate the trip! It’s so cute and I absolutely love it🤍 thank you Johnny!☺️

My daughter turned 18 recently and I suggested that she go to johnny from recovery tattoo since I had been tattooed by him 2 times in the past and was pleased with the experience. Much to my unfortunate surprise my daughter who was so excited for this called me in tears. He only cut her down, and very very rudely told her that her tattoo idea wasnt good, nor would it work for the placement that she chose. When she tried to speak or ask a question he rudely requested that she not speak while he was berating her and making her feel as absolutely insignificant as possible. I am disgusted. He took her first time in a tattoo shop experience and stomped all over it. Made her cry and just overall ruined her day.... And the idea was a memorial tattoo for our late dog babygirl. He could have done this much differently like not been rude, or brash, maybe let her speak or ask a freaking question. Or heres an idea, since he is obviously so egotistical and clearly thinks he knows much more than anyone else possibly could, maybe suggest a different ish idea or placement. I say boo thumbs down this jerk will not get another cent of my money.

I love the tattoo I got from Johnny. My tribute to my brother was beautifully done and it helps that Johnny is so easy to get along with. I am an almost 70 year old woman so most artists dont want anything to do with me. Not Johnny. He was very welcoming which I really appreciated.

I can’t even put into words how talented and creative Johnny is. If you want an amazing unique tattoo that’ll last forever I would 11/10 recommend Recovery. Very relaxing environment, clean workspace, and an amazing atmosphere to both him and his shop.

My experience has always been a good one, the shop is comfortable, and the Artist Johnny makes sure to ask how Im doing as we go, takes breaks, as well as talks about what I want my piece to be like. It always amazes me on how much can be done in a few hours.
