Joe does amazing line work! My husband and I went in to get matching quotes and initial tattoos on our ring fingers. Joe was professional, gave us great advice for the longevity and wear on our hand tattoos. Overall great artist and a cool dude! Definitely recommend this shop and Joe!

I got a belly button piercing here and it was the best piercing experience Ive had, Gene makes you feel comfortable and less nervous. Ive never considered getting more then a few piercings but I might have to get more after coming here

If you care about your body do not get a tattoo here! They make their own ink and will not tell you whats in it and I developed a horrible allergy/reaction to it and now have to deal with it my whole life. Definitely not worth it. I have 14 tattoos total and the one tattoo I got here is the only one causing me a reaction. It is unbearable. And I dont even know whats causing the reaction because they refuse to tell me what they put in my body!!!

I got my belly button Pericles here today. It was by far the best piercing experience I had the guy who did it (sorry I forgot his name) but he was amazing I was super scared and he calmed me down and gave me step by step instructions on how to care for the piercing!

The entire staff at this establishment is professional and courteous. I asked Geno for a custom tattoo and he delivered! I felt so comfortable, and enjoyed my 4 hour experience. I went to Gene for my 8th tattoo and this was the first tattoo Ive gotten where I didnt bleed, and my skin didnt swell up. It is a cremation tattoo also, the only one of that type I have, and I was a bit nervous about any reactions but even with that, its the best healing tattoo Ive had. The lines are so clean, there isnt one thing out of place, it came out better then I even imagined it. Besides all that, the experience was a great one. Gene and his wife are very friendly and welcoming, and you know you are in good hands as soon as you sit down. The rest of my ink, definitely getting done by Gene!!

I went here with the weird question of Can you help me put my septum back in? TLDR I had it out for Xrays and it was out for too long for too new of a piercing. Not once did they question it, they told me to come on in and theyd help me. It took a lot more than just sticking it back in too. He talked to me like he was Bob Ross and I was a PBS kid... My anxiety melted and I had ZERO issues even after he essentially had to pierce it again. I could not be more grateful and recommend this place as highly as I can.

Got my snake eyes pierced first off I paid 95$ which is INSANE for a oral piercing and on top of it I was pierced incorrectly my piercing was beyond crooked the first time , ok I came back to get it re done correctly it looked fine after due to swelling after swelling went down I noticed it was STILL uneven slightly to the point it was giving me extra pain I took it out due to it , I’m extremely upset that I spent basically 100$ on a piercing that wasn’t pierced correctly really a shame tbh , shouldn’t be piercing people if you can’t get measurements correct !!

Gene-O is outstanding, and the whole staff is incredibly professional and kind. They came in on a day they are closed- (in a snowstorm, no less!) to do a memorial tattoo of my beloved cat who passed away. Its phenomenal. They made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, especially placing, replacing/trying out multiple spots for my tattoo on the day of the first session. When the pain got to be a bit much (after 3 hours), he offered a topical numbing solution and allowed me to take as long of a break as I needed. At the end of the 2nd session, he even touched up a separate tattoo of mine that had some worn out spots...for FREE. Theyre not out here to rip you off. The hourly rate is incredibly fair and you will not be disappointed working with this studio. Its safe to say I will be back.

I googled this place and was blown away. I went in with zero expectations and now they are my standard. I was astounded with the service. Gino was amazing. He made you feel like more than family. I was nervous about getting my piercing (even though I have many) he talked me through the entire thing, like wed been friends for ages. This will forever be my tattoo/piercing place. I have been going to Tom Spaulding tattoo shop for years. Started off with a couple tattoos and piercings and over the years Ive been to 2 other tattoo shops and never had the same experience I had at Tom Spaulding....so when I wanted to start my left sleeve which included a portrait of a loved one that passed, the first place I called was Tom Spaulding shop. I booked my appointment with Gene-O and I have been going there for almost 2yrs straight now....My left sleeve includes a back hand tattoo, tattoos on my back, neck, stomach, chest, breast, and now working on my legs. Ive had my eyebrow, ears, nipple, belly button and lip pierced. I cant rave enough about Gene-O..he is patient, very detailed in explaining how to care for both my tattoos and piercings....he turns all the ideas in my head into art. The shop is always clean, warm and welcoming and they are so accommodating when it comes to booking appointments. With so many tattoo shops around...it is hard to find one that is both professional and does amazing work.....Tom Spaulding tattoo is that place and Gene-O is that tattoo artist.

He took me in last minute to change some dermal jewels. He was patient while I chose sizes and colors.His apprentice was welcoming, friendly, and outgoing. He was just as kind and informative with her as he was with me.I have never had an artist apologize for inflicting pain on me, but he had every time he attempted to remove my jewelry. I appreciated it.Ive had artists act vulgar towards me, and you can always tell how theyre rushing through the session to get paid. He cares about his customers and their comfort, not just the money.I left feeling fantastic about my new look.I will be back; they are amazing people.

Ive been going to see Gene and who ever was piercing at the moment for over 15 years. They are the most sincere and honest artists I have ever dealt with. My first body mod was a belly ring at 16 (with parental consent) done by Gene. That interaction helped base my decision to use them for my first tattoo, also completed by Gene. The best tattoo artist Ive ever seen. He did a piece for my daughter, this was number 4 for her and I have 7. Between us both this was the cleanest, clearest bright tattoo Ive seen walking out. The owner/artist was so funny and interesting he kept her distracted from pain and me laughing. I wish I could have him redo all of mine. Him and his wife are so very nice. We will be back. Had a great experience getting my left nostril pierced. Was quick, easy and minimal pain. Kinda wish they gave me more information about the stud I was pierced with, like the gauge and type etc. But was an otherwise pleasant experience and nose seems to be healing perfectly. Highly recommend. 👍

My experience at Tom Spaulding tattoo was way more than stellar of an experience.I was calling around most of the day to local shops in Massachusetts but had no luck with appointment wait times beyond my expectations.So, I picked the phone one last time and looked up piercings shops around Massachusetts and found Tom Spaulding tattoo in New York.I told them what I wanted and they were more than accommodating to my last minute piercing request.So I booked my appointment for later that evening after closing and was still reassured my appointment would be honored and it was even though I was a half hour early.Upon entering the establishment my friend and I were offered water which I was a nice touch seeing I drove an hour and a half away to get this piercing.Next, the cleaning instructions were given and I was prepped for my septum piercing while being asked if I was okay and if I liked the jewelry before it went in.After, I relaxed in the chair for a minute to let my tears dry up and I looked in the mirror and was more than happy with my results!Thank you geno(Gino)? Went in for a consultation explained what I wanted was given an appointment to have the tattoo done. When I arrived Gene-O waved me in and from that moment on the quality and care was magnificent!!! He asked if I needed a water or anything to drink. Once I got back to his studio he made sure that I was comfortable, asked if I wanted to watch something on the TV or he could put on an audio book. He took his time to ensure the tattoo I was getting was exactly what I wanted because it was personal to me he wanted to ensure every detail was correct, which he absolutely nailed it. During the time he was working on the tattoo he kept asking if I was ok, if I needed a break. When he was done with the work he explained the aftercare with me asked if I had any questions. He recommended a tattoo salve (Recovery Tattoo Salve) which has worked great. I made my payment and went on my way. I will DEFINITELY be back soon to get more work done!!!!! I was a walk-in to buy a replacement piece of jewelry for a old piercing. Gino was incredibly helpful, polite and friendly. He tried several options before we found a ring that fit well, and he even did some adjustments on the spot for me. Great customer service. Clean and comfortable environment. He was handling 3 customers at once, at one point during my visit. He did it well with respect to each of us. In a world of mediocre customer service, this was a great experience.

I have been getting tattooed by Geno since early 2000. He has always done amazing work, is friendly, professional, and goes above and beyond to make people comfortable. Even now with living out of state, I will wait to get my work done until I am in the area for Geno to do the work.

Got a tattoo here. Little did I know they would overcharge me astronomically. I got a small tat, less than 2 inches and it took just under 2 hours. The artist was a newer and didnt do a bad job, but they still charged $230 for this small piece. Artist sounded like he did the math in his head at the end and didnt seem sure at all, almost as if he was waiting to see if Id buy it, unfortunately Im not much for arguing when I already got the piece done.Dont go there if you arent willing to argue for your wallet. Heard the piercings are good, but the tats are insanely overpriced. Wont be going back there when theres other more fairly priced places nearby.

I can’t recommend this business enough. I had a small tattoo and a piercing and my daughter had a piercing and everyone who worked with us from the woman who made the appointment to the master piercer and skilled tattoo artist were patient kind and exceedingly talented . They walked us through every step of the process and took time with us that I have never experienced anywhere else. Fabulous!

This is the best place to get your piercings, period. I went in with no appointment, and I was seen. Had the best conversation with the guy who pierced my ears. Can’t remember his name unfortunately, but he was so nice, he educated me on how to prevent my ears from being infected, and I didn’t even feel the pain of the piercing, which I always do. Definitely would recommend this place. Try it and I am positive you won’t be disappointed cause I sure wasn’t.

I had my nose pierced a month ago in Key West. Last night I somehow pushed the piercing into my nostril. I showed up as a walk in this morning and Gene was able to resolve the issue and put in a more fitting piece of jewelry. Gene was not only professional, but he explained everything he was going to do and how to care for my piercing. He even taught me some interesting facts about Frank Sinatra! Our daughter got her ear cartilage pierced. The artist was extremely understanding and informative about the process and aftercare. Went during Covid 19 and they were very professional. Waited out in my car until they were ready. I dealt with Gene to get my septum pierced. I was worried about the size and showed me how far it would hang down and was very nice. He was very knowledgeable and made for a very nice experience. Yes the prices are more higher here than other places but the quality and care you receive here is better than other places I have visited in the NY area. I didnt get my septum piercing done here, but I wish I had. My piercer did my incorrectly, and I couldnt flip it into my nose. Went to Tom Spaulding and the guy widened by jewelry for free, and helped me through the infection that I got. The guy that pierced me didnt give me any aftercare tips. I wish I went to Tom Spaulding to begin with. Place was clean and he was very easy to talk to. Made me very comfortable. Ill be coming here for my next piercing/tattoo. Highly recommend this place!

I got my first tattoo at Tom Spaulding when I turned 18. 11 years later and they are still the only tattoo shop I go to. The staff is very friendly and the work speaks for itself. I have had so many compliments of all my tattoos done by GeneO, specially the foot prints of my son. All the tattoo artists there are giftedly talented and know what theyre doing. I wouldnt trust anyone to do my tattoos but them. I always recommend Tom Spaulding tattoo :)

I did not get to choose my jewelry, I was not told what metal the jewelry was made of, I was not sure that the jewelry was properly sterilized. I was told to use BACTINE on a fresh nose piercing. This place does not have safe piercing practices.

Quick pleasant experience pericing my lip. He did everything possible to keep it as painless as possible and even put on a different ball on because i didnt like how big the original was.
