Pure Steam Tattoo

I was on a work conference in Asheville for 3 days. My last night there while in my hotel room, I got a wild hair up my butt and looked up tattoo shops in the area. Ive been wanting a sunflower tattoo with the words, You are my sunshine, in memory of my mom. I took a chance at making such a last minute appointment and read the reviews for Pure Steam Tattoo and gave Rebecca a call. She asked me to send her a reference picture of the tattoo and gave me a late night appointment! She asked if I wanted the actual picture I showed her or did I want her to draw something up. She drew her own sunflower from a real photo of one. She even drew the leaf exactly how I asked. She helped me pick the most beautiful script for the words. She was very patient, never in a hurry, her attention to detail is top notich, and she is so very talented! I saw many of her drawings and just WOW! I wish I werent 4-1/2 hours away but if Im ever in the Asheville area again, I am definitely making another appointment with Rebecca! Highly 100% recommend Pure Steam Tattoo! If you’re looking for a legit, state-of-the-art piercing shop, look no further!! I’ve been to Pure Steam about 4 times now, and every single time, they’re super clean, organized, and they know their stuff! The metal that’s in the jewelry they offer is medical grade, so it doesn’t fall off, change color, get infected, etc. literally all of my piercing dreams come true! I think I got my first piercing and stud about 4 years ago, and it’s all held up so well with no issues at all. They are so clean in their process which also calms my anxiety about piercing shops. 100% recommend!

I got a large sleeve tattoo designed by Rebecca at Pure Steam Tattoo. I cannot say enough good things about her and the work that she is doing for me. The design and tattoo are impressive. I couldnt be more happy with my tattoo. Rebecca is thorough, professional, and accommodating. Its been a pleasure to work with her.

This place saved me in a pinch! The jewel end of my nose stud got stuck in my sheets while sleeping, and my usual piercer was out of town!I called right away, and she happened to be able to fit me in immediately. She had a great selection of different styles for me to replace my lost end, and was super professional, with good pricing and service. Although she had a tattoo client literally walking in the door, she still took the time to answer my questions and give me a time frame on when best to move to a ring. Five stars!

Rebeccas line work is absolutely amazing. Her shop is clean and she changes gloves multiple times throughout the tattoo process.My friends and I live 4.5 hours from asheville and we all agreed we would make the drive back here again specifically for tattoos from Rebecca.

Some friends recommended Rebecca while I was in town for a tattoo I wanted. Now working on my third from her. Shes does awesome designs, very talented artist, and amazing customer service. Would suggest her to anyone as her work is more than worth traveling for!

My friend and I called twice looking to get piercings and there was major miscommunication on the phone so we both went down there during business hours, and the door was locked. There was a sign asking to call so we did, said we were there and they asked again what we wanted - not come inside and let’s talk, asked over the phone. I wanted a standard helix and she kept saying “I don’t do forward helix” she would not come to the door that was locked during business hours so we left. We are both heavily tattooed and pierced and I neither of us had a shop have customer service this poor.

Great experience very focused on details even more so than me. Highly recommended. She stayed till 130am to finish my tattoos that were very important to me!

Drove here from Statesville to get a birthday tattoo for myself! This cute little house looks awesome inside. Theres a lot of antique decor and they have beautiful jewelry for sale and theres an upstairs and downstairs. It is a little more unique than most shops you see! Staff were very sweet and made sure you feel welcome and the bathroom is very clean. The parking situation is a little confusing and that was the only thing I wasnt super fond of so make sure to call ahead if you get confused so you dont park somewhere that blocks someones home or earns you a ticket!

I absolutely loved my experience here! Beck was amazing! He is so patient & makes sure everything is perfect just how I wanted it before we moved forward! My tattoo is already healed and it’s not even been 3 weeks! I can’t wait to come back and get another one! Go see Beck to get the best & most professional work done! 💪🏽💪🏽

I dont know where to begin!!! I had such a wonderful experience today at Pure Steam! First of all Rebecca and Beck were super friendly and helpful. They definitely made me feel comfortable and at ease. Beck was my tattoo artist and let me just say HE IS AMAZING! Beck was so patient, kind and gentle. He listened to my concerns and got my sketch perfect the first go around! He is also very knowledgeable and has such a calming demeanor about himself. Great shop with a bunch of awesome and talented artists.Ive known Rebecca for years and I highly recommend her as an artist. Shes done 5 of my pieces so far and I know there will be many more to come! Theyve all healed perfectly and the oldest has gone 8 years while still retaining good color, sharp lines, and crisp detail. Her colors and solid blacks are consistent and bold. (I never find those light patchy bits that need a touch-up.) The care and attention she gives every client and each design ensures youll get a quality tattoo thats exactly what you want.

Pure Stream Tattoo is my new go to shop! Very cool little spot looks unassuming from the outside but on the inside is a really cool little shop that definitely makes you feel at home. Today I got a pretty bad tattoo reworked by Beck and man did he bring this thing back to life, beck is super talented and even completely free handed the whole add on to my previous design he pays close attention to detail and makes sure him and the client are on the same page before even touching the tattoo gun I would highly recommend this shop

This was a small wrist tattoo, the cost was shop minimum but she spent so much time and care to be precise with her lines. I highly recommend Pure Steam and Rebecca, the owner. The whole experience outdid my expectations as a first-timer get pierced. We come to Asheville often and was in the area. I called and she returned my call quickly. We set up sn appt for that evening. I was nervous since this was my first time, and she gave me all my options as far as nose piercings and sizes. As she marked where it would be on my nose, she even took into consideration my glasses and made sure they would not nump onto them. She was calm which made me calm and my nerves and jitters went away immediatly. I even made the comment after she put the needle in, “That wasn’t at all as bad as I thought!” She was clean and made sure everything was sterile from start to finish. My favorite part…if we’re back in Asheville, she likes to follow up with her clients and see me in 6-8 weeks! What a personalized touch! I will recommend her to all my friends that live up this way! For any more work, I will be back to see Rebecca!

Was there for my first Tattoo year ago (I meant to do this then but I have been super busy with school and work), the staff were super nice and understanding, and the work they did was really good. I was super happy with what they did.

My friend and I got matching mountain tattoos that turned out amazingly. The tattoo design was custom to us and included a hiking trail and splash of color with the trees. The shop is very clean and sanitary procedures in place. This was my first tattoo and the tattoo artist was patient with me and explained everything along the way. Highly recommend.

Stacie at Pure Steam tattoos has done two tattoos for me so far, both of which I am absolutely in love with. They have both healed and retained their cleanness and vibrance beautifully. Shes the most talented watercolor artist on this side of the country, and her creativity and skill and passion for what she does just add to the beauty of her art. She can draw anything, and comes up with some pretty impressive original ideas. I have to travel to another city to get tattoos from her, but Ill never go anywhere else.

Great experience. This was my first visit to Pure Steam and I will definitely go back. Thorne took my idea and made the perfect design. He incorporated all the nuances as well as hit the major design points. Super clean crisp lines. We talked the whole time during the tattoo about our music tastes which were about the same. I’ve been seeing Rebecca at Pure Steam for a little over a year to work on my arm piece. The process was such a pleasure and I looked forward to making the trip to Asheville just to see her. The final result was more than I could’ve hoped for. I came to Rebecca after seeing fantastic reviews on yelp. I tasked her with a huge ask. I wanted a ton of very meaningful and personal things made into an arm piece and she eagerly took on the challenge. Her original piece was more gorgeous that I could’ve even imagined and perfectly combined all the elements I was looking for. I recommend her to everyone that asks for an artist, even though I live in Atlanta. It’s worth the trip.

I went to this store March 17th, I received a tattoo and a nose piercing. For starters the tattoo artist basically told me his hole life story and made it into a pity party about himself, not only to me but my sister who also got a tattoo from the same guy and begged me not to leave her because he kept talking about his bad relationships and his life. When I got my nose piercing I warned the piercer I have a fear of needles but I’m trying to overcome that fear. She wasn’t supportive and almost let me leave without my jewelry being fully secured. The piercer also pierced my nose at a very bad angle! I went into a popular shop and they told me I can’t wear a stud because it only shows the side of the jewelry and with my hoop it sits wrong as well. I am very unhappy with my visit and I do not recommend this place!!!! I’ve also had someone (idk if they work at the shop) comment on my fb page and argue with me about the situation.

I have had some work done by Rebecca and love her attention to detail. She really does some amazing work. I will continue to get all my tattoos from Pure Steam Tattoo.

Rebecca was so great and made it such a great experience! I learned so much about anodized titanium and she included me in the process of anodizing my piece to the exact shade of gold that I wanted. The amazing old house this shop is located in and its decor only ads to the experience. Without a doubt the cleanest tat parlor I have ever been in. I decided to do a walk in tattoo today at pure steam tattoo and I didn’t really have a design picked out and the tattoo artist beck helped me pic out something that I loved and he drew it out on the spot and got to work on it I am completely stunned and the talent this guy has and will definitely be back to let beck do the rest of my tattoos 10/10 on everything super nice guy and line work is flawless and shading is off the chart really brought the tattoo I picked out to life.

Yesterday I was looking for a quick piercing to get done. I come across this tattoo parlor. I went in and the first thing it thought was how clean it was. I went in and saw the jewelry and they where absoulty beautiful. Very neatly divided to where you can see what you want. The crew new exactly what they where talking about and what type of piercing I needed. I recommend the place 100% very very friendly as professional.

Was out for the weekend in Asheville and on a whim went to get pierced. Had my ears gauged and my gf had her nose pierced.spyro was awesome he was very patient while we picked out the jewelry and was very excited to do the piercing. He took his time and we were not made to feel like it was a cookie cutter shop. Everything was clean and the piercings came out great and are healing well. Spyro took the time to help make me the perfect custom piece that went on my diath! It’s cute and fits well with the anatomy of my ear! I’m going to go back to get my trek and some dermal to accentuate my tat. These guys are just so chill and awesome! Very professional as well!
